Ok so here’s the thing, all the stuff he is saying makes sense and might help, but it’s not realistic. Here’s my best tips to get rid of acne:
(Everyone has different type of skin and just because something works for me that doesn’t mean that it will work for you).
1. When cleaning your face don’t be to aggressive. Do gentle circular motions and tapping, so you don’t irritate your skin.
2. Use a oil-free moisturizer and not a very thicc one.
3. Don’t exfoliate to often, I would recommend doing it twice a week but if you have very dry skin you might have to do it more often.
4. Don’t use a acne cream every day, this might irritate your skin. Use it everyday for a couple of weeks. Then you can let your skin rest for a week and then start using it again.
5. Don’t use any facial oils it might clog your pores.
6. Face masks are definitely not necessary and can also clog your pores.
7. And of course drink water.
Try this tips and tell me if they helped!
Remember to go outside too! When I were at my aunt’s place, my acne left in like 7weeks!!!!! (I were there almost the whole summer holiday) and I had to go out at 8 to walk with my little cousins (1 year old and 3 year old) and after that we went to eat at 11 food and we ate only little bit of fats and all because my cousins can’t get used to eating fast food, high fat foods etc. We ate alot of sallads too and sometimes me and my aunt ate subways (lol the bread) and I didn’t get pimples because it was only once in a while! And sometimes in the evenings we had to collect plants for my school project (we did that when my cousins were asleep) and then sometimes we left for a run and we ran for 3km. And kaboom my acne left. But when I came home and ate all these unhealthy foods and fastfoods my mom makes because she’s busy... my acne came back. Now I know how to heal it.
1. Wake up early so you can spend the whole day (like 8am)
2. Eat breakfast (I ate wholegrain breads with cheese, ham and cucumber slices)
3. After eating, go wash your face with, for example michellar water (my aunt had it and I think it helped in curing my acne) but if you don’t have any facewaters, you can wash your face in cold/lukewarm water.
4. When you’re done doing your morning routine, go outside for a long and relaxing walk. (It’s hard to do in winter since it’s pretty slippery) If it’s raining or you can’t go outside for some reason, go to your balcony and read a book, enjoy ur time. But remeber to spend atleast an hour. I swear it helps you to somewhat release stress and make your skin thank you.
5. After spending outside atleast an hour. You can go eat lunch. (Eat lunch somewhere at 11:00)
I ate some mashed potatoes (my mom uses alot of butter and milk in it what makes it very unhealthy so try to use a little bit of salt or something instead of alot of butter) and with it I ate some minced meat sauce. But you can use anything you like😊. And try to make a simple sallad with cucumber, tomatoes and lettuces. It’s a good combination with the mashed potatoes.
6. After eating lunch, you can rest a little. (till like 13:00) And after resting... LET’S GO OUTSIDE AGAIN (I know we’re all lazy to go two times a day lol but hey no pain no gain I had to go everyday and even tho I was tired, I always fell asleep fast and my skin was perfect) and you can do what you want again like go for a walk or go to a park. And then spend there 1-2 hours again.)
7. After coming in, it’s time for a dinner. (Somewhere in 16:00-17:00) and eat something like spaghetti with minced meat sauce (classic lol)
8. Then the clock is starting to be 18:00. And it’s time to watch some television and eat some snacks like for example nuts and chips (by chips I mean the chips meant for toddlers because they don’t have any sugar, butter etc. So they are good for u.)
9. Then at 19:00 my cousins started eating evening snack before bed and watching some moomins at the same time. (You can just watch some television) And then somewhere in 19:30-20:00 they went to sleep.
10. (Hehe now starts the part my lazy self likes muahahah) Then after they fell asleep (20:00 maybe), we started making subways with my aunt. And when they’re in the oven, I went to shower and after that my aunt went and kaboom the breads were done. (The subways breads)
Then we just eat them and watch some friends (it’s a series in netflix and I love it)
11. After you’re done eating, go wash ur face with the lukewarm water or your facewater (for example I used michellar water)
12. And then go to sleep (21:00-22:00)

People with acne are not allergic to soaps, however there are certain ingredients contained in soaps that may aggravate the skin and cause further inflammation or clogged pores. Birth control pills alter the hormones in the body by introducing new artificial hormones in the system. These artificial hormones alter the levels in the body and can cause side effects such as blood clots and may increase the risk of females developing breast cancer in the long term. Antibiotics work by destroying ALL bacteria in the body (including the good bacteria in the stomach). They may clear acne because they destroy the P. acnes bacteria, however by killing the natural microflora in the stomach, they are also altering the natural pH of the stomach. Using antibiotics too often for a long time may lead to the development of resistant strains of bacteria which could be more difficult to kill. Unfortunately, antibiotics are not a permanent cure for acne because once they are stopped, the acne will return because the P.Acnes bacteria will be produced again.
I suppose doctors and dermatologists prescribe such drugs because that is their job, to hand out prescriptions that can improve the wellbeing of their patients and help fix their issues such as acne. They do not really promote natural remedies, rather they prescribe drugs that have been developed because natural remedies is not their specialty, that would be the job of a Naturopath. But what they do not emphasise enough is the dangerous side effects that these medications can have in the long term on patients.
You must eat fruits! Fruits are an important part of the diet as they contain vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants which are all essential for a well balanced diet and functioning system. What Dr. Josh is trying to say is to not excessively eat fruits eg. 10 pieces a day, due to the high fructose (natural sugar) content they contain.

In short eat in moderation and slowly adjust to healthy foods and take a course of detoxifying your body like water therapy and fasting it works for me just like that i literally not put any products on my face, because for me especially teens don't mind the food there taking that causes toxins to our body so eat healthy live health, good food good life peace

i can't afford to go in dermatologist plus my GP always give me antibiotics but once i finish my medication they all rise up again in my bloody face.. i already did also home remedies all of them include toner my face with apple cider but still horror my face.. to be honest, i loose confident and self-esteem .

Update: I strictly followed this advice for a year and my skin cleared up alot BUT I lost so much weight, lost my period, feared food, and developed anorexia because of this video. I appreciate the advice but it is not realistic to achieve and eating this way is extremely restrictive. GO to a dermatoligist for accutane to save yourself from an eating disorder.
Basically eat nothing lol. I got rid of my very bad forehead acne just by using facewashes but I have back and chest acne which will not go away. Been struggling with it for 4-5yrs. I do eat wheat(bread), sugar, rice, pasta ect almost everyday. And I guess my gut is struggling because my white blood count have fallen drastically the last year, I have half less than what I had just 2 yrs ago. Im also young so no reason why the immune system should be down. And get sick all the time, have chronic allergies and struggled with pneumonia for since 2017. Even with medical treatment. Crazy!!

My college professor taught me that gluten is needed to help ur digestive track, unless u were diagnosed with a condition that doesn't allow you to have it. If you dont need to go gluten free and you decide to anyway it can actually ruin your digestive track
I notice if i do a strict vegetable juice fast 1 week before my period I do not get acne. I also stopped using soap to wash my face a year ago and instead use cleansing milks and my skin glows now. I think many soaps have substances that dry your skin out and cause a vicious cycle of acne. My husband hardly washes his face with soap. He mainly uses water and he has never ever had acne. I do think modern ways of eating do cause acne. If you watch documentaries about tribes that live simple lives in the jungle they never have acne. Modern foods are too overprocessed and full of sugars and additives and toxins. Also people in the jungle do not use the harsh soaps that we use on our faces. Our environment is also contaminated. I think the reason some people never get acne is because they simply have stronger genetics or livers. The liver is the main organ that cleanses the human body but for most of us our livers are struggling with modern life. If it is not acne, it is heart disease or cancer. These are effects of the world we live in.
It has nothing to do with what you eat. What kind of doctor are you? Acne is an inheritable trait, just like blood pressure (high or low) If one or both parents had bad acne when they were young , sorry to say so will you or your siblings. 5 grams of desi ghee(good fat) per day is good, if u dont have any hormonal issues! 😃 ... Have good fat first.. Cut off deep fried food,sweets cheese,burger,pizzas,junk! & the rest u can manage. ... If u listen to these vegans they'll basically ask u to cut of everything = straving to death 😂
I've got acne and hair-loss because of the high level of dihydrotestosterone. It's awful for a girl!!! None of the medications doctors prescribed helped. The diet you describe neither. Unfortunately, it's not a panacea
