Is it Bad if Snot is Yellow?

02:01
Is it bad if snot is yellow? Snot is usually white. It is only going to change colors if something else has changed. I’m wondering what might be wrong. Assuming you did not accidentally inhale popcorn butter powder and turn your lungs yellow, you’ve got an infection. I thought that was if the snot was green. It’ll be yellow before it is green. The color shift is the start of an infection. I’m sick of this. You’re sick with something. The color of snot doesn’t change unless there is a bacterial infection. As long as this does not go viral. You could have a cold virus or allergies, but the snot is warm wet environment in which bacteria can thrive, and then it changes colors. Talk about a pain in the butt. How do I get rid of it? A pain in the forehead or nasal passages implies a sinus infection. A pain in the mouth could mean you have a dental carry, but that’s rare to affect the nose. How do I treat a sinus infection? Getting rid of the snot can get rid of the infection. Whether you use antihistamines to stop the mucus production or antibiotics to kill the bacteria is your choice. Or I could use a neti pot. Those things hardly get sterilized, after people put their snot filled noses on it. You could get someone else’s germs or re-infect with your own, and then there are the amoeba - I’ve never heard of amoeba. Using untreated water, AKA natural spring water, has caused some people to get amoeba inhaled from the steam into their brains, killing them. That’s like the guy getting out of ebola quarantine saying "oh, thank god it is just malaria". I won’t know which is worse. Use one of those disposable spray bottles with saline water instead of a neti pot, with or without additional medication.

How To Get Rid Of Phlegm And Mucus In Chest & Throat (Instant Result)

04:42
Subscribe to our channel for more : http://bit.ly/2lB6QeW Visit our website : http://newzmagazine.com/ How To Get Rid Of Phlegm And Mucus In Chest & Throat (Instant Result) The most common culprit of summer sinus problems is allergies and hay fever. We don’t hear enough about how pet hair, pollen, dander, dust and dust mites and even milk or how certain food allergies cause sinus problems. But what else about those hot days cause our sinuses to go ballistic? For starters, stop consuming cold food and drinks. You should also quit smoking, as the nasty habit leads to chest congestion and irritates the respiratory tract. One often hears about sudden extreme temperature changes causing increased sinus pain and a stuffy or a runny nose, but how? There are millions of tiny hair-like structures called cilia that make up the mucus membrane, which lines your nose and sinuses. These cilia work together as a broom, helping to get rid of stagnant mucus that may block the sinuses. Your mucus membranes prefer a moist warm environment as opposed to it being very cold or very hot. On hot summer days, the air is very dry causing the mucus in your nose to become thick and sticky. This makes it difficult for the cilia to move or “sweep” the excess mucus out. This thick mucus then blocks the sinuses. When mucus flow is interrupted or blocked, it often becomes hard in nature and causes pressure and congestion. The pressure and the congestion then cause you to experience pain, stuffiness, and headaches. Increased presence of phlegm in the lungs may result in fever, weakness, runny nose, persistent cough and difficulty breathing. If not expelled, the excess phlegm may block the bronchial tubes and cause much bigger problems, which are hard to treat with conventional medications. Luckily, there are some natural remedies which can reduce the amount of phlegm and treat respiratory infections easily and effectively. Here are the best of them: Honey-Lemon Ginger Tea A mixture of honey and lemon can soothe your irritated respiratory tract and bring much-needed relief. Honey is a powerful antibacterial and antifungal agent, and we can say the same for lemon as well. This tropical fruit is rich in vitamin C which will reinforce your immune system and reduce congestion easily. Ginger is a powerful natural decongestant and antihistamine that possesses expectorant and antibacterial properties. The root can soothe your chest and throat congestion by drying out the phlegm and stimulating its elimination. In order to treat a respiratory infection and keep yourself healthy, eat 3-4 slices of ginger every day, or drink a couple of cups of ginger tea. Here’s how to prepare the tea: Ingredients: 1 tablespoon raw organic honey (we recommend this) 2 tablespoons organic lemon juice, freshly squeezed 6 slices organic ginger 2 cups water Instructions: Cook the water in a pan, then add the ginger when it starts to boil. Now, cover the pan and leave the mixture to boil for a minute, then lower the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and leave it to cool down, then strain it and add a teaspoon of organic honey. Drink 2-3 cups of ginger tea every day to relieve the congestion and breathe easier. Steaming Steaming is one of the best ways of reducing chest congestion and loosening up the mucus in the chest. Breathing in the vapors and steam will loosen up the clogged mucus and provide some much-needed relief, and you can get even better results by infusing the water with herbs. Here’s how: Ingredients: ½ a teaspoon of dry rosemary ½ a teaspoon of thyme 4-5 cups of boiling water Instructions: Add the thyme and rosemary to boiling water in a bowl, then lean over it with a towel over your head and inhale the steam. Repeat the process 3-4 times a day for best results. To control the production of mucus in your body, use a humidifier in your home, and avoid exposure to paint fumes, household cleaners and chemical as they irritate the throat, nose, and lungs. Finally, when you notice phlegm in your throat, don’t swallow it – just gargle some warm water and salt and spit it out. To thin it out and break up the congestion, consuming spicy foods such as garlic and peppers can help.

POST-NASAL DRIP - SEASONAL *Take a version of vitamin C (calcium ascorbate with bioflavinoids) to break down histamines to help clear out mucus. It's possible it could be related to acid reflux or GERD, however, it is another symptom of low stomach acid. Arizona resident Joe Nagy mistook his constant runny nose for an allergy when in fact it was brain fluids that were coming out of his nose. Nagy's symptoms continued for 18 months. Kill Sinus Infection in 20 Seconds With This Simple Method And This Common Household Ingredient!

03:16
OUR WEBSITE : http://justhealthrelated.com/ Kill Sinus Infection in 20 Seconds With This Simple Method And This Common Household Ingredient! There’s nothing more annoying than a runny nose and itchy throat. It’s even worse when your sinuses swell up and cause headaches and pain. This article will teach you two simple trick to get lasting sinus congestion relief. How Sinuses Work According to Healthline, “a sinus infection occurs when your nasal cavities become swollen and inflamed”(1). This can be caused by a virus, the common cold, or allergic rhinitis, although there are many other causes (2). About 37 million Americans experience sinus infections at least once each year. You sinuses are located above and below your eyes and behind your nose. They’re lined with mucous membranes that respond to allergens and infection. When they become inflamed, you may feel dull pressure and pain in your head, ears, teeth, jaw, and cheeks. When you have a sinus infection, your sinuses get clogged as the mucous thickens and the mucous membranes become inflamed. They may also fill with a green-yellow discharge. When this discharge flows into your throat, it can irritate this tissue. This explains the tickle or itchy feeling you feel in your throat when you have a cold. How To Get Sinus Congestion Relief These two remedies will pack a double punch for quick, lasting relief. 20-Second Trick To stop a sinus headache in its tracks, push your tongue against the roof of your mouth as you press your thumb right between your eyebrows. Hold the pressure for 20 seconds. When you release, it will stimulate the vormer bone in your nasal cavity and cause it to vibrate (3). Immediately, your sinuses will drain into your nose and throat and give some relief. Repeat every hour or so as needed to treat sinus headaches and sinus pressure. Germ-Busting Drink Drink this mixture to kill the bacteria or virus responsible for your sinus infection. Ingredients: 1/2 cup of water 1/4 cup unfiltered apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon raw honey 1 tps. minced ginger 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 lemon, juiced Instructions: Boil water and combine with apple cider vinegar. Add the honey and cayenne and stir. Lastly, add lemon juice. Drink multiple times a day until your sinuses clear up. How It Works Lemon reduces inflammation of the mucous membranes and boosts the immune system to fight off an infection on your own (4). Cayenne contains capsaicin, which thins mucus to help it drain out (5). Ginger kills bacteria and viruses to fight the cause of infection. It also soothes throat irritation and fights headaches (6). Lastly, ACV fights sinus and throat pain through its antimicrobial, anti-fungal and antiviral properties (7). Symptoms that Indicate a Sinus Infection not a Cold

03:30
Symptoms that Indicate a Sinus Infection not a Cold A sinus infection, also known as sinusitis, is a very common upper respiratory tract infection that affects millions of people every year. It occurs when your nasal cavities become swollen and inflamed. But treating a sinus infection is often delayed because people do not recognize a sinus infection in the initial stage. 1. Pain in Your Face One of the best ways to distinguish between a common cold and a sinus infection is the pain and pressure you feel in your face with an infection. The pain may be worse when you move your head forward or touch the areas overlying your sinus cavities. As the inflammation reduces and the infection clears, the pain will go away. 2. Yellowish or Greenish Discharge Discolored nasal discharge – green, yellow or blood-tinged – is another sign of a sinus infection. This is mainly due to the virus in your system, which causes the discharge to change colors. The nasal discharge you experience with a common cold is clear and more liquid in nature. When suffering from a sinus infection, you’ll find that you need to blow your nose more frequently to get rid of the thick accumulated mucus. 3. Coughing Up Phlegm A cough often accompanies a sinus infection, but many people assume it is due to a cold or bronchitis. Coughing due to a sinus infection usually is worse at night and in the morning. You can reduce the frequency and intensity of your coughing by sitting upright to sleep. It will also help you sleep better, which is important for recovery. 4. Bad Breath Bad breath, medically known as halitosis, is another common symptom of a sinus infection. In fact, they go hand in hand. As the bacteria are bathed in mucus, it causes bad breath. To improve the smell of your breath, maintain oral hygiene by brushing twice a day and flossing once daily. You can also use a mint-flavored mouthwash. 5. Toothache Believe it or not, pain in the upper teeth is a fairly common symptom of a sinus infection. This pain is not an indication of an actual problem with a tooth. If you have a persistent toothache, consult your doctor to determine whether the pain is due to a sinus infection or other possible dental issues like periodontal disease, teeth grinding, cavities or dental abscesses. 6. Stuffy Ears Along with a stuffy nose, a sinus infection can cause stuffy ears. It’s a muffled-ear sensation, Your sinuses and ears are connected inside your head. So, the congestion and inflammation of the nasal passages can affect the pressure in your ears. Also, a buildup of pressure in the inner ear can make you feel dizzy at times. Sinusitis, also known as sinus infection or rhinosinusitis, is a very common condition where the paranasal sinuses are inflamed, causing congested nose, headache and facial pain. Paranasal sinuses are air cavities in the bones of the skull. There are four pairs of sinuses located on either side of the head. They are the maxillary, frontal, ethmoid, and sphenoid sinuses. The sinuses are lined with respiratory epithelium producing mucus. The mucus drains into the nasal cavity through small openings. Impaired sinus drainage has been associated with inflammation of sinuses. When a sinus is blocked, fluid builds up, making it a favorable environment for bacteria or viruses grow and cause infection. A typical sinusitis symptom is described as a dull pain or constant pressure commonly localized to the affected sinus. The pain may worsen when the person bends over or while lying down. Symptoms often start on one side of the head and spread to the other side. Acute sinusitis may be also be accompanied by thick nasal discharge of yellow greenish color. Sinusitis can be caused by: - Allergy(allergic rhinitis): allergens such as pollen, pet dander… may trigger inflammatory response of the mucosa of the nose and sinuses, resulting in excess mucus production, nasal congestion, sneezing and itching. - Infection: infection usually occurs as a complication of a common cold. Impaired sinus drainage due to inflammation of nasal mucosa during a cold often leads to infection of the sinus itself. Cold-like symptoms plus headache, facial pain or pressure are common complaints. - Other conditions that cause blockage of sinus drainage. These include: structural abnormalities such as deviated nasal septum; formation of nasal polyps. Treatments vary depending on the cause of sinusitis: - For allergy: intranasal corticosteroids are commonly used. - For viral infection: symptom relief medications such as nasal spray for irrigation and decongestion; other conservative treatment for common cold such as rest and drinking plenty of fluid. - For bacterial infection: antibiotics may be prescribed. - For recurrent or chronic sinusitis due to structural abnormalities or nasal polyps, nasal surgery may be recommended to clear up the drainage canal.

Natural Remedies for Chest Congestion Relief

04:00
Chest congestion is a very common condition that most people have at some point during their lifetime. It is characterized by a buildup of mucus in the trachea and the respiratory tract that leaves your chest feeling heavy. If not treated timely, it can cause an infection in your respiratory tract. The most common cause of chest congestion is the common cold. Allergens, bacteria and fungi can also cause chest congestion and infection. Some other causes include asthma, bronchitis, the flu, pneumonia and tuberculosis. Common symptoms include a tightened chest, irritation in the throat, mild chest pain, cough, shortness of breath, dizziness and difficulty breathing. Here are a few natural home remedies to get rid of chest congestion. 1. Salt Water Gargling with salt water several times a day is an effective treatment for chest congestion. While the salt helps remove mucus from the respiratory tract, the hot water reduces irritation in the throat. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to a glass of warm water. Mix well until the salt is dissolved thoroughly. Gargle with it 2 or 3 times daily until your congestion clears. 2. Steam Inhaling steam is another very effective way to get quick relief from chest congestion as the steamís heat and moisture help break up and dissolve mucus. Fill a bowl with very hot water. Add a few drops of eucalyptus or peppermint essential oil. Place your face over the bowl and a towel over your head. Inhale the steam for as long as you can and breathe deeply. You can also take a hot shower and breathe in the steam vapors for 5 minutes. 3. Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar is another effective remedy against chest congestion. It helps thin the mucus in the chest, thus relieving congestion and helping you breathe better. Add 2 teaspoons of organic raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar to a cup of warm water. Mix in 1 teaspoon of raw honey. 4. Turmeric Turmeric has an active compound called curcumin that helps expectorate the mucus and give you quick relief from chest congestion. Mix a pinch of turmeric powder in a glass of warm water. Gargle with it a few times daily. 5. Ginger Ginger can also help with chest congestion due to its anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. The polyphenols present in ginger help inhibit the secretion of mucus. Add 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped raw ginger pieces to a cup of hot water. Cover and allow it to steep for 5 minutes. Strain, then add a little honey. Drink up to 3 cups of this warm tea daily. You can also chew small ginger pieces throughout the day to get rid of congestion. 6. Garlic Garlic is another very effective home remedy for reducing chest congestion. Its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties help fight respiratory infections that cause congestion. Boil 2 to 3 crushed garlic cloves and ½ teaspoon of honey in 1 cup of water or milk. Strain and drink it 2 times daily until the congestion clears. Eating fresh garlic cloves can also help relieve congestion. Visit oure website - http://chiropractorfortworth.org - Chest Infection Symptoms. Chest infection is quite common among both adults as well as small children. It is of two different types. One is related to upper respiratory tract infection where the nose, sinus cavities, larynx and pharynx are involved. In the other one, the lower respiratory tract is attacked and the lungs get affected. This is a more serious condition and is found in people suffering from pneumonia. Causes. Chest infection is caused either by the different viruses that are responsible for cold and flu or some bacteria. Its symptoms are usually observed within 2-3 days after you catch the infection and may continue to bother you for the next few weeks. Symptoms in Adults. The symptoms of upper and lower respiratory tract infection have lots of similarity but their intensity becomes much severe when the lungs get infected. Here are the commonly observed symptoms of chest infection: Chest Congestion: A dull, heavy feeling inside the chest is one of the obvious signs of infection in the chest. This is because of phlegm in chest. When there is a heavy congestion, it gives pain and discomfort. Persistent cough often aggravates this pain further. Cough: An inflammation in the air passage that lies in between the nose and the lungs causes a lot of irritation inside the throat which gives rise to a chesty cough. Initially, it is a dry cough but as mucous gets accumulated, thick mucus is expelled which is yellow or green in color. Repeated cough contracts the thoracic cavity so badly that traces of blood may come out with the phlegm. The cough bothers the patient for at least 7-10 days, if not weeks. Breathing Difficulty: As the nose and rest of the respiratory tract gets blocked with thick mucus, breathing problem arises. As a result, one starts taking shallow and rapid breaths. It also produces wheezing sound during inhalation. Fever: The body temperature often rises because of the infection. If it is an upper respiratory infection, then usually one gets a mild fever. However, the fever due to pneumonia, could go beyond 101 degrees F. Pain: Chest infection makes your body weak and it is susceptible to pain. One may experience headache quite frequently. The joints, bones, muscles and nerves of the body becomes tender and pain is experienced in various parts of the body. In this condition, back and neck pain mostly arise due to achy muscles. Symptoms in Babies. The symptoms in children and babies are more or less the same as adults. You must observe them carefully as the symptoms may have severe impact on their health. They often have swallowing difficulty in this condition. So, they should be fed with great care to avoid choking. There are some symptoms in babies that require emergency medical intervention, for example, shortness of breath, which is accompanied by a bluish tinge in lips, tongue, and face and abnormal drowsiness. Treatment. When the symptoms are mild, they may not require any medical treatment, they may subside on their own. Moderate to serious infections are diagnosed with the help of laboratory test like X-rays and mucus sample test. Bacterial chest infection is treated with the help of antibiotic medicines. However, if it is caused by virus, then antibiotics are ineffective on them. In that case, the symptoms are controlled with the help of suitable medicines. For pain and fever, pain relieving medicines are prescribed by the doctors. Expectorants and cough suppressants can be used to check a bad cough. When you are suffering from chest infection, you must take adequate amount of rest which will help the body to recover from it. You should also keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids. Inhalation of steam facilitates thinning up of the mucus and ensures its faster elimination. The symptoms tend to get worse with exposure to irritants such as dust, smoke, chemicals, etc. Therefore, you should stay away from them. You should cover up your face while sneezing and coughing to avoid spread of infection. Read more at buzzle.com/articles/chest-infection-symptoms.html

I'm going to give you an extensive overview of allergic rhinitis symptoms and seasonal allergy symptoms in this video. Do spring flowers and bright blue skies give you a runny nose and itching eyes? Subscribe so you’ll never miss my latest videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBve_ppCNE67fs3MsIocitg?sub_confirmation=1 Be sure to follow me on: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dr.frita/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Dr.Frita Twitter: https://twitter.com/DrFrita Ah yes. We complain all through the bitter cold winter, and we can't wait to get to the warm spring. But for many people, April showers bring May flowers and seasonal allergy symptoms or allergic rhinitis. What is allergic rhinitis? Rhinitis is the inflammation of the nasal passages or upper airways. It causes symptoms such as a runny nose, stuffy nose, itchy throat, and it can lead to the melodious spring sounds. Allergic rhinitis can occur at any age, but it most commonly presents in children and in young adults. You are at increased risk for allergic rhinitis if you have a family member with seasonal allergies or if you have asthma or eczema. If you have allergic rhinitis, you are not alone, because over 20 million Americans also have allergic rhinitis. The actress and singer, Scarlett Johansson, who has starred in multiple Marvel movies, including The Avengers, Iron Man 2, Captain America, well, she also suffers from seasonal allergies, and the actor, Orlando Bloom, also has allergic rhinitis. You know him, of course. You've seen him in the Lord of the Rings and the Pirates of the Caribbean. What causes allergic rhinitis? Allergic rhinitis is caused by small airborne particles that trigger the immune system. These particles are called allergens. This is what happens in your body. You walk outside. You inhale the nice spring air. As you inhale it, you notice your car that you just got washed yesterday is now covered with that bright yellow-green pollen. As you have inhaled spring's nature, you have also inhaled some particles of pollen, a tiny airborne particle. This pollen, or an allergen, now triggers your immune system. It triggers an inflammation in your nasal passages by releasing immune cells, such as mast cells and basophils. These cells stimulate the release of histamines which cause the inflammation in your nasal passages. Once you have this inflammation, it then causes you to have nasal congestion or stuffiness. It can cause a runny nose. It can cause an itching in the back of your throat or in your ears. It can also cause postnasal drip, which is the sensation that mucus is just dripping from the back of your nose to the back of your throat. These are those symptoms of allergic rhinitis. As your immune system continues to be triggered, these symptoms can spread from just your nasal passages on into your lower airways or your lungs. You can then get inflammation in your lungs which can cause shortness of breath or wheezing. You can also get symptoms in your eyes from your immune system. Red eyes, itching eyes, running eyes. All of these things happen with allergic rhinitis which is triggered by allergens. What are some other allergens that trigger allergic rhinitis? We mentioned pollen, but also there's ragweed, mold, grass, trees, dust mites, pet dander or the hair from those lovable, adorable pets of yours, like cats and dogs. Also, beautiful spring flowers can be allergens that trigger allergic rhinitis. You can imagine that a beautiful green golf course has many of the allergens I just mentioned, which is why it's quite interesting that Tiger Woods has been reported to have seasonal allergies. Allergic rhinitis treatment or seasonal allergies remedies? Allergic Rhinitis can usually be diagnosed with a good history and physical from your physician, but if you are a person who has difficult to treat symptoms, you may require certain blood tests or allergy testing or skin testing. How do you treat allergic rhinitis? Well, since allergic rhinitis is caused by allergens which trigger your immune system, the best Allergic Rhinitis treatment is simply to avoid the allergens. This video discusses allergic rhinitis symptoms, allergic rhinitis treatment or seasonal allergy symptoms.

Early Signs of Bronchitis - Bronchitis Symptoms Don't Ignore These

03:47
Don't Ignore These Early Symptoms of Bronchitis Like, Comment, Subscribe and invite all your friends to see our videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfR3Y90G-fFDYI6i7E7xPBQ Signs and Symptoms of Bronchitis, Bronchitis Treatment The first sign of bronchitis is usually a persistent dry cough (associated with an upper respiratory infection). Eventually, coughing brings up sputum from the lungs that may be thin, clear, and white. As infection progresses, the sputum becomes thick and yellow, green, or brown. A thick, pus-filled discharge suggests a bacterial infection. Other symptoms include the following: - Burning pain, wheezing, and crackling in the chest - Painful and difficult breathing - Malaise (generally feeling unwell) - Low-grade fever (101ºF–102ºF) Insomnia can develop with persistent nighttime coughing. Symptoms usually last 3 to 7 days; a dry cough commonly persists several weeks after the infection resolves. Complications of Bronchitis Left untreated, acute bronchitis can occasionally progress to pneumonia and chronic bronchitis, particularly in people with suppressed immune systems or lung disease. Chronic bronchitis is associated with long-term constriction of airways, bacterial infection, and other diseases, including asthma, emphysema, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Bronchitis Diagnosis Diagnosis is made by the health care provider taking a careful history of symptoms and performing a physical examination. A stethoscope is used to listen to the lungs. If symptoms are prolonged or severe, a chest x-ray may be performed to check for a more serious condition. Treatment for Bronchitis Viral bronchitis usually resolves without treatment. Increasing fluid intake helps reduce congestion and is necessary when fever is present. Rest is also helpful, and fever and back and muscle pain may be treated with acetaminophen (Tylenol). Over-the-counter cough suppressants and expectorants and steamy showers can temporarily relieve symptoms by thinning mucus and opening airways, allowing for easier expulsion of mucus. Bacterial bronchitis is treated with antibiotics, such as tetracycline, erythromycin, and amoxicillin (in children), depending on the causative bacteria. Side effects of these medications are usually mild and include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Prevention of Bronchitis Good hygiene can reduce the spread of viral infection. Immunizations against influenza and pertussis can reduce the risk for bacterial bronchitis. Avoiding smoking cigarettes, second-hand smoke, and heavy fumes can hasten recovery, because the lungs' task of filtering pollutants is made easier. {The information provided on this channel and its videos is for general purposes only and should not be considered as professional advice. We have found that this is the most comfortable nose wash to use! Many people watch something and get obsessed with it, please don't.... Remember that the mix shown in this video(with onions, garlic, peeled potatoes and other ingredients) is a soup and not the mix to add to your Nasal wash! The Nasal wash should always be ultra clean, be used with Sterile water and the manufacturer's recommended salt. The nasal wash used in this sinus infection video is from a manufacturer called Nasopure. The story behind this video: The little girl in the video has previously used antibiotics to help her treat recurrent sinus infections. Unfortunately, because this family lives in an area where the humidity level can be as high as 95%, fungus and mould develop all around and spread through the air. The only effective method they have managed to find to keep their daughter free from Sinus infection was to use this Nasal Wash from Nasopure. The parents in this video have done their job right, they went to see a doctor, tried antibiotics but due to the local humidity level and recurrent infection, giving multiple times antibiotics yearly to their child was not a good option due to IBD problems running in the family.
