Eczema rash | 8 Root Causes Of Eczema Doctors Never Treat - skin rashes. Eczema includes medical conditions in which the skin is inflamed and irritated. The skin disorders cause symptoms like inflammation, dryness, redness, and scaling. Eczema is more common in babies and small children, and only 2-4% of all adults develop eczema at some point in their life. The outer layer of the skin becomes inflamed and damaged, which creates perfect conditions for irritation and sensitivity. Health experts have recognized acute and chronic symptoms: Inflamed skin, Itchiness, Blisters, Peeling, flaking skin, Cuts and cracks caused by dryness, Changes in skin color and texture, Burning caused by irritation, Main causes of eczema: Eczema is usually treated with creams and ointments, but the problem lies deep in the system. The treatment of eczema should start from the core of the problem. Treating the symptoms won’t do the trick, as they will soon come back, and you’ll have to start all over again. We give you some of the most common root causes of eczema: 1. Genes: Your genes carry information, and if you are predisposed to develop eczema, there’s no way to stop it. Mutated genes affect the production of filaggrin, a protein that protects the corneal skin layer. 2. Low sebum production: The skin dries due to insufficient production of natural oils. Genetic factors or poor immunity affect the production of serum. 3. Weak immune system: Low immune system can’t fight inflammation or ward of yeast and bacteria. Medication, autoimmune disorders, untreated infections, nutrient deficiencies, and weak intestinal function can affect the role of your immune system. 4. Allergies: Allergies trigger the release of antibodies and affect the immune response. Some foods, chemical exposure, harsh toxins, perfumes and soaps cause allergies. 5. Toxicity: Smoking and pollution leave traces of toxins in the body, and overtime these buildups manifest on the skin. Excessive use of antibiotics has a devastating effect on the immune system, and lead to toxicity. 6. Climate: People who live in cold countries or developed countries are more prone to eczema, due to dry and cold weather. Pollution and unhealthy dietary habits can also lead to the development of severe skin disorders. 7. Formula: Breastfeeding protects the baby from allergies, unlike formula-fed babies who are more prone to eczema. 8. Vaccines: Scientists are working on specific testing that would determine whether vaccines cause eczema. It may be just a coincidence, but the number of eczema sufferers has multiplied after the use of vaccines increased. This requires further research, and scientists will soon confirm the link between vaccines and eczema. Tips on how to treat eczema: Scratching can additionally worsen your problem, so try not to do it. Don’t peel dried skin either, as this may cause open sores and bacterial infections. Carefully pick your food. The same applies to skin care products and cleaning products, because some of the ingredients may cause allergies. Eat more foods packed with anti-inflammatory foods to strengthen your immune system. Use homemade eczema creams based on natural ingredients. DOWNLOAD CURE FOR ECZEMA AT: http://www.VanishEczema.net What is eczema? Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic allergic condition in which the skin develops areas of itchy, scaly rashes. What are the symptoms of eczema? Eczema can occur on almost any part of the body but is most common on the face, scalp, inside of elbows, knees, ankles, and hands. It typically appears as extremely itchy patches on the skin. Eczema can get worse when scratched; in fact, itchy skin may appear normal until scratched; the irritating action may then cause the characteristic rash and scales to develop. Other symptoms include: Areas of dry, leathery skin Blisters that ooze and crust over Redness and inflammation in the affected area Scratching can introduce infectious agents into the skin, leading to secondary complications including bacterial infection and permanent scars. What are the causes of eczema? Eczema is caused by a reaction similar to that of an allergy and can promote chronic inflammation. The condition will often wax and wane and accompany other allergic conditions such as asthma. In some cases, a specific substance, such as certain soaps, detergents, or metals, dust mites, and animal dander, can trigger eczema. For many people, however, there is no known allergen that causes this reaction. Eczema can be worsened by dry climates, exposure to water, temperature changes, and stress. Who is likely to develop eczema? Eczema is particularly common in infants and children. A person's risk of developing the problem also increases if he or she has a family history of eczema or allergic conditions such as asthma and hay fever. How is eczema diagnosed? Physicians usually diagnose eczema by conducting a physical exam and asking questions about the patient's symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and habits. What is the conventional treatment for eczema? Conventional doctors often recommend a combination of self-care techniques and medical therapies to treat eczema. First, people with eczema should avoid any potential triggers that appear to make symptoms worse. Take warm, not hot, showers or baths. Use soap as sparingly as possible, and apply a soothing, hypoallergenic moisturizer immediately after bathing. Physicians may also suggest using over-the-counter anti-itch lotions or low-potency steroid creams. When these measures don't alleviate eczema, the doctor may prescribe one or more of the following treatments: Steroids. Prescription steroid creams and ointments - and, in severe cases, oral steroid medications - can relieve the itching and inflammation of eczema, but they can have side effects such as skin thinning and are not recommended for long-term use. Immunomodulators. Newer prescription creams called calcineurin inhibitors (such as pimecrolimus and tacrolimus) work by modulating the body's immune response. Although these drugs don't have the same side effects as steroids, their long-term safety isn't yet clear. What therapies does http://www.VanishEczema.net recommend for eczema? In addition to the self-care approaches mentioned above, it is recommended considering the following natural treatments for eczema: Allergy is ultimately an inflammatory condition and diet can profoundly influence inflammation throughout the body. Follow an anti-inflammatory diet and avoid pro-inflammatory ingredients. Skin disorders are often strongly linked to psychological stress; conversely, stress-relieving techniques can often be extraordinarily effective in providing relief. Try visualization or hypnotherapy to take advantage of the mind/body connection in allergic skin disorders. Try aloe vera gel, calendula lotion or cream, and chaparral lotion on irritated skin. Take gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). This unusual fatty acid is found in evening primrose oil, black currant oil and borage oil but is very hard to come by in the diet. GLA appears to have nourishing effects on skin, hair, and nails. Take 500 mg twice a day and expect to wait six to eight weeks to see results. Eliminate milk and all milk products, which may irritate the immune system. In addition, therapies in both homeopathy and traditional Chinese medicine have proven effective for many skin conditions and are worth exploring. See the websites of the National Center for Homeopathy and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine to find practitioners.

http://www.VanishEczema.net Eczema is a painful and irritating skin disease that can be cured if treated correctly (especially when natural eczema remedies are used, which is what I'll discuss later on in this article). It typically affects infants and children, although symptoms can be seen all the way up and through adulthood. Not only that, but some people don't get eczema until they get older. http://www.VanishEczema.net Eczema symptoms can vary from person to person, but they usually have similar characteristics. You can spot eczema by itchiness, redness or dry, leathery and scaly looking skin. Worse off, if you constantly scratch eczema, it can make it ooze and cause more pain overall. Thankfully, there are a number of ways to eliminate eczema and keep it under control. The most logical step in treatment is to take a trip to your family doctor to be properly diagnosed. At this point, your doctor is likely to prescribe a cream or ointment to use for your eczema. The downfall here is that this medicine is filled with powerful chemicals which can cause eczema to react worse and should only be used in extreme cases. This is where many people turn to natural eczema remedies to help treat and control their eczema. There are a variety of natural eczema remedies. One, for example, is to avoid any stress or environmental allergens and chemicals, as these can all trigger eczema to flare up. Another effective natural eczema remedy is to keep your body hydrated at all times. Don't take long showers or baths (as this dries out the skin) and drink plenty of water daily. Only use natural creams and ointments on the skin to help soothe it and ease the pain. Oatmeal is another amazing home remedy for eczema. It can be made into a cream that will help soothe your skin and relieve the itching often associated with eczema. Or, it can be mixed in with warm bath water. To do this, add a cup or two of raw oatmeal to a bathtub of warm water. Let your body soak in it for roughly 20 to 30 minutes to help ease itching and pain. Lastly, one thing everyone dealing with eczema must look at their diet. Believe it or not, certain foods can help ease symptoms. With that said, you also need to be aware of the foods that can also cause your eczema to flare up, too. Food preservatives, dairy and any foods containing gluten can cause eczema to have an adverse reaction. Various vitamins and supplements can help the skin. In fact, vitamins like A and E are popular natural eczema remedies and are also quite effective. Remember - If you're going to treat your eczema, it's been shown and proven that natural eczema remedies are safer than most prescription creams and ointments. Plus, there are less side effects to worry about with natural eczema remedies. As long as you know how to use them properly, natural eczema treatments can help you finally get your eczema under control!

Eczema and What You Need to Know About It http://www.VanishEczema.net The term Eczema is a medical term which is commonly used to describe a skin condition. In most cases, this skin condition is a type of dermatitis or an inflammation of the epidermis. The epidermis is the most outer layer of an individual's skin. Eczema is normally a persistent skin condition that causes dryness of the skin or rashes of the skin. Some of the most common symptoms of this skin condition are; skin redness, swelling or inflammation of the skin, itching skin, skin dryness, crusting or flaking of the skin, skin blisters, cracking of the skin, or bleeding or oozing of the skin. It is common for individuals with Eczema to experience slight skin discolorations. Normally, skin discolorations are the result of breakouts that are attempting to heal themselves. Scarring is rare in mild breakouts, but it can occur. Most scarring is a result from severe cases. Eczema is commonly mistaken for psoriasis. However, unlike psoriasis, it is most likely to be found on the flexor point of joints. There are numerous different types of Eczema breakouts. The first type of Eczema is known as Atopic Eczema. Atopic Eczema is also called infantile, flexural, or atopic dermatitis. Atopic Eczema is an allergic disease believed to be caused by a hereditary trait. Atopic Eczema is common in individuals whose family suffers from hay fever and/or asthma. Most commonly, atopic Eczema is a rash that causes individuals a large amount of itching, especially on the head or scalp, neck, elbows, bend of the knees, and the buttocks region. The second type of Eczema is known as contact dermatitis. Contact dermatitis has two main types: allergic and irritant. Allergic contact dermatitis normally results from a deferred reaction to an allergen. Irritant contact dermatitis results from a direct reaction from some sort of component such as a type of soap. Irritant contact dermatitis is responsible for about three quarters of all contact Eczema cases. Contact dermatitis is the most common skin disease today. The cure for contact Eczema is to simply avoid the object that the individual has contact with that sets off the Eczema. If the object that causes the Eczema is removed from the individuals contact, then the Eczema will normally disappear. The third type of Eczema is known as Xerotic Eczema. Xerotic Eczema is also known as; asteatotic, craquele, or winters itch. Xerotic is a breakout where an individual has severe cases of dry skin. What happens in Xerotic Eczema is that the area of dry skin becomes so extreme and severe that the breakout turns in to Xerotic Eczema. This condition can become more severe during cold winter weather. In most cases of Xerotic Eczema, an individual's arms, legs, and core area are the regions most affected by this type of Eczema. The fourth type of Eczema is known as Seborrhoeic dermatitis or Seborrheic dermatitis. In infants, this type of Eczema is called cradle cap. This type of Eczema is commonly related to dandruff. Seborrhoeic Eczema causes an individual to have greasy scalp, flaking or peeling of the scalp, flaking or peeling of the eyebrows, flaking and peeling of the face, and flaking and peeling of the trunk in some individuals. This type of Eczema is harmless for the most part, unless this type of Eczema occurs on an infant and develops into severe cradle cap.

For more info: https://draxe.com/zinc-deficiency/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Feb-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=zincdeficient Today I’m going to share with you the five warning signs that you’re zinc deficient. About 75% of people in the world are deficient, so being deficient in zinc is very common. The 5 warning signs you’re zinc deficient: 1.) If you get sick a lot or have immune system issues 2.) Have leaky gut (http://draxe.com/7-signs-symptoms-you-have-leaky-gut/) 3.) If you struggle with diarrhea or IBS 4.) Thinning hair 5.) Inflammatory skin issues like acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis One of the biggest factors in causing zinc deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. The second most common cause of zinc deficiency is over-exercise. The third most common reason your zinc deficient is if you’re pregnant or breast feeding. Lastly, if you’re older, you may tend to have malabsorption, which causes a zinc deficiency. In order to get more zinc in your diet, you need to consume more zinc-rich foods. The top 5 zinc-rich foods are pumpkin seeds, oysters, grass-fed beef, sprouted nuts and seeds, and peas. http://www.VanishEczema.net If you have eczema, you know how itchy and painful it is. But simple lifestyle changes can go a long way toward treating the condition. Try these 10 tips. http://www.VanishEczema.net 1. Know your eczema triggers. Many things can trigger a flare-up of eczema, from scented soaps to dust mites. The important thing is to learn what your triggers are, and then try to avoid them. "Generally, fragrance is a big no-no for eczema patients," says Andrea Cambio, MD, FAAD, medical director of Cambio Dermatology in southwest Florida. You should eliminate all products with fragrance - including soaps, perfumes, cosmetics, and scented body lotions - from your routine. Instead, look for unscented, mild products without additives or chemicals. Other triggers can include household cleansers, pet dander, grass, gasoline, chemicals, dust mites, and certain foods. 2. Moisturize dry, itchy skin often. Using moisturizer is one of the best ways to help keep eczema under control. But it's important to use moisturizer often, especially after washing and bathing. For best results, choose a plain, unscented moisturizer. Look for one that doesn't contain additives or chemicals, which can irritate skin. Thicker products, such as ointments and creams, usually provide the most protection for your skin. 3. Manage extreme temperatures at home. Changes in temperature or humidity can often cause eczema to flare up. Although you can't control the weather, you can try to control the conditions inside your home. When the weather is hot and humid, use air conditioning in your home to stay cool. During cold weather, try using a cool mist humidifier to help keep your skin from becoming too dry. 4. Don't scratch eczema patches. Yes, eczema is itchy. But scratching can actually make you itch more. And scratching can also damage your skin and lead to an infection. Instead of scratching, find ways to help control the itch, such as cold compresses, frequent moisturizing, baths, and medications. 5. Keep sweating to a minimum to avoid eczema flare-ups. For some people, getting overheated or sweating can cause eczema flare-ups. "For these patients, I recommend trying to shower as soon as possible after a workout," says Cambio. 6. Wear comfortable clothes that don't irritate skin. Cotton and cotton blends are usually the best choices for people with eczema. Wools and synthetic fabrics, such as polyester, can irritate the skin. Washing new clothing before you wear it can also reduce irritation. Choose a liquid laundry detergent that is mild and unscented. And skip the fabric softener. 7. Watch your stress level to avoid eczema flare-ups. You're more likely to have a flare-up when you're under stress. And yet, the itching and discomfort of eczema can add to stress by making you feel angry and frustrated. To break the cycle of stress, try learning stress reduction techniques such as deep breathing, yoga, biofeedback, or meditation. Getting exercise can also help reduce stress. 8. Follow skin care basics in the shower or bath. Hot showers or baths are a common cause of eczema flare-ups. "Switch to room-temperature water and save the hot water for a treat once in a while," says Cambio. Avoid scrubbing your skin, and use a gentle cleanser instead of soap on the areas that need it. When you're done, pat dry and apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp. 9. Protect your hands. Your hands are often exposed to water and other substances that can irritate them. Protect them by wearing rubber gloves whenever you wash dishes or place your hands in water. Wearing light cotton gloves under the plastic gloves can help absorb sweat and cause less irritation. Cotton gloves can also protect your hands when you're doing other types of housework. When outside in cold weather, choose leather or cotton gloves to protect your hands from the cold air. Wool gloves may cause irritation. 10. Use eczema medication when needed. If lifestyle changes alone don't help your eczema, talk with your doctor about using medication to help ease your eczema symptoms. Your doctor may suggest an over-the-counter cream or oral antihistamine, or suggest a prescription medication. If your doctor has already prescribed a medication, use it as directed.

Homemade Eczema Cream Ingredients: 1/4 cup coconut oil 1/4 cup shea butter 1/2 tsp. Vitamin E Oil 12 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil 15 drops of Lavender Essential Oil 12 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil Directions: 1. In a double boiler on medium low heat, combine coconut oil, shea butter, and vitamin E oil. Stir or whisk well until fully melted. Turn off heat. 2. Add in essential oils, stir until well incorporated. Transfer the cream to a container. You can store this at room temperature, but if your home is warm (above 76 degrees) it may get a little “melty.” It will still do the trick but might be a little messy. If this is the case, simple store in the refrigerator. If using on a child, apply the cream and cover the eczema patch with long sleeve shirts and pants to avoid rubbing off the cream. Makes about 4 oz. I purchased all the ingredients at: https://www.mountainroseherbs.com You can find unrefined coconut oil at any grocery store. I bought mine from Target. A look at the ingredients Coconut Oil: A personally favorite for any homemade creams and lotions. Because of coconut oil’s anti-viral, antibacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal properties it’s often found in plenty of beauty and personal care recipes. *If you are allergic to coconut oil just double the shea butter and leave this out. Or replace it with olive or jojoba oil. Shea Butter: One of my favorite ingredients and a perfect moisturizer that heals the skin wonderfully. It is rich in Vitamin A and mimics the natural moisturize produced by our skin. Melrose Essential Oil: This is a blend of Melaleuca (tea tree), Naouli, Rosemary and Clove essential oils. This power combo has amazing properties to support healthy skin. - I couldn't find this blend so I used Rosemary and Tea Tree. Lavender Essential Oil: Another oil that is known for its tissue health. It shares a lot of the same properties as Melrose. It’s a tried and true essential oil for skin health. Vitamin E Oil: Great for the skin, and a natural preservative. I usually add a little of this to all my homemade beauty products. All of these ingredients are safe for babies and young children, but this cream will work for adults, too!

For more info: https://draxe.com/vitamin-d-deficiency-symptoms/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Apr-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=vitaminddeficiency In this video I’m going to talk about the benefits of vitamin D as well as symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. In certain studies, Americans has been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency. Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more. The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (bpa), and toxicity. Try to get outside everyday for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight. Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat. For a good supplement, I would recommend a high quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body. For more on vitamin d deficiency, you can check out this article: http://draxe.com/vitamin-d-deficiency-symptoms/ *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. http://www.VanishEczema.net In this tutorial, Chris Schach M.D., discusses etiology, prevention, and treatment of this common skin problem. There are many factors that lead to dry skin and eczema that are preventable and fairly easy to manage with over the counter treatments. In this video, practical information about prevention of eczema and the use of recommended topical moisturizers is discussed. Learn the basics to get relief from your dry skin or winter itch. Watch our tutorials, given by U.S. Board Certified dermatologists, at http://www.VanishEczema.net DRY SKIN AND Eczema MANAGEMENT GUIDE Dry skin (xerosis or asteatosis) occurs when moisture and barrier oils are lost from the epidermis. This leads to cracks in the skin.....like a dry river bed. Dry skin tends to be itchy. On going dry skin with resultant scratching may lead to red, inflamed and scaly patches. This itchy inflamed skin condition is known as Eczema or dermatitis. Eczema (dermatitis) is not contagious. While certain allergies may worsen Eczema, they are not the basic cause of Eczema. Most patients can be controlled with treatments available today. Control of Eczema is essential because the itching and other discomforts associated with this disease can intrude on the quality of life. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS Soap is irritating to the skin of persons with dry skin or dermatitis, and should be used sparingly, if at all. A "soap substitute" such as CeraVe, Cetaphil, Purpose or Oilatum is recommended. Dove unscented body wash is another good alternative. Wool acts like sandpaper on dry skin. Wool blankets, upholstery, rugs, car seats and coats should be avoided. Silk and synthetic clothes may worsen the condition also. Cotton is usually well tolerated. Dry skin may lead to dermatitis. Low humidity robs the skin of its moisture. Keep the skin moist with bland emollients such as CeraVe or Cetaphil cream. These are most beneficial when applied over wet skin after bathing. Use an ointment like Vaseline petroleum jelly or aquaphor to the most severe cases of dry skin. Sometimes creams or lotions will sting or burn when applied to raw skin. A room humidifier/cool mister is helpful during the winter months. Emotions -- The tiny skin blood vessels are under control of the sympathetic nervous system. We blush with embarrassment, flush with anger, and pale with fright. When persons with dry skin or Eczema (dermatitis) get mad, their skin gets red and starts to itch. This is true even of small babies. The time of year -- Most people with dry skin or dermatitis are worse in the winter and improve during the summer. Geographical area -- The place you live rarely makes any real difference. Dry skin and Eczema (dermatitis) occurs in all peoples of all nations of the world. Scratching -- Dry skin and dermatitis is commonly known to get worse with scratching. Persons with dry skin or dermatitis itch much more easily than those who do not have Eczema. Rubbing and scratching worsen Eczema -- it is very important to minimize scratching. Eczema does not cause scars but scratching may. Diets -- Special elimination diets are seldom of help in dry skin or Eczema. A normal, well-balanced diet should be followed. Oral consumption of oils (like canola or olive oil) will not moisturize skin. TREATMENT Avoid things that irritate -- Fragrance, woolen products, excess heat or cold, emotional upsets, dust, soaps, animal hair, feathers. Avoid fragrant laundry detergent and avoid all fabric softeners. Control the dry skin -- Special soap substitutes should be used. Bathe no more than once daily. After bathing apply the prescribed medications or a lubricating cream or ointment to the moist skin to help keep water in the skin. Apply a cortisone preparation to the areas of Eczema or that itch as directed, usually twice daily. Control scratching -- Stockings over hands may help control scratching in children. Keep fingernails trimmed. Antihistamines (used as anti-itch medications) are helpful, especially at bedtime. In severe cases of Eczema or for flare ups, oral medications, light therapy, or injections may be used to control the disease. Flare-ups should be brought under control early -- waiting will only make it more difficult to achieve control.
