When it comes to "the best diet to lose weight" (also known as a "cutting diet"), you'll get A LOT of suggestions as to which diet to lose weight fast you should follow. However, the truth is that whether it's keto, intermittent fasting, paleo, and so on, all of these diets work by making it easier for you to eat at a calorie deficit. These diets don't have a "secret" fat loss effect which has been proven time and time again in the literature. Simply meaning that the best weight loss diet or the best diet for abs for example is the one that you can adhere to the best. However, weight loss is one thing and fat loss is a whole other variable which is MUCH more important when it comes to improving your physique. When it comes to optimizing the best fat loss diet, you need to pay attention to how much protein,fats, and carbs you're ingesting on a daily basis. I go through how to optimize each of these factors to create the best fat burning diet in my video. ★ MY WEIGHT LOSS GUIDE & MEAL PLAN http://bit.ly/LeanAndCleanGuide RECIPES Fruit & Yogurt Parfait 4 ounces vegan yogurt 1/2 cup granola 1 cup any fruit you like Add ingredients into mason jar and mix. You can also add in coconut flakes, nuts, flax seeds or whatever else you like. Spinach Artichoke Spread/Sauce 1 can canellini (white) beans - rinsed and drained 1 tsp each (garlic powder, onion powder) 1/2 tsp salt and red pepper flakes (optional) 1 can artichoke hearts - rinsed and drained 4 c spinach 1/4 onion diced 1 cup nutritional yeast Blend canellini beans until smooth. In a pan over medium heat, add in onion, spices, spinach, and artichoke and cook until spinach is wilted. Add everything back into blender and pulse blend until smooth but still i bit chunky. Add in 1 cup nutritional yeast and serve over pasta or as a spread for sandwiches. Taquitos 1 can fat free refried beans (no lard) 12 corn tortillas diced veggies you like (i use onion and jalapeno) Spread 2 tbsp beans over each tortilla and add veggies in the middle. Roll into taquitos and put in a tupperware. Freeze. When you are ready to eat them, place them over medium heat covered in a pan and flip after 7 minutes. Cook another 5-7 minutes or until the center is warm. Using hands, shape meatballs & place on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 375ºF for 25-30 min, or until golden & cooked through. Glaze with remaining hoisin sauce Red Cabbage & Carrot Slaw 1 small red cabbage, shredded 4 carrots, julienned or shredded ½ red onion, diced 3 tbsp olive oil 3 tbsp white wine vinegar 1 tbsp honey Salt & pepper In a large bowl, mix together cabbage, carrots & onion. Season with oil, vinegar, honey & salt & pepper Brown rice Lime & Cilantro garnish Menu 2 Fajita Chicken 2 red bell pepper, sliced 2 orange bell pepper, sliced 1 red onion, sliced 4 chicken breasts, cut into strips 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tbsp chili powder 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp paprika 1 tsp onion powder ½ tsp dried oregano Salt & pepper Oil In a small bowl, whisk together spices & set aside. In a large pan over med-high heat, add peppers, onion & chicken. Season with spices. Cook, stirring occasionally until cooked through. Black Bean & Corn Salsa 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 cup corn kernels, cooked 1 red pepper, diced ½ red onion, diced 1 lime, zest and juice 1 tsp chili powder ¼ cup cilantro, chopped Salt & pepper Cilantro Lime Rice 1 cup white rice 2 cups water 1 garlic clove, minced 2 limes, zest and juice ¼ cup cilantro, chopped Salt & pepper In a medium saucepan, bring rice, water & garlic to a boil over med-high heat. Reduce to low, cover & simmer for 10 min. Turn off heat & let rest, covered, for 5 min. Stir in lime juice & cilantro. Menu 3 Greek Chicken 4 chicken breasts ½ lemon, zest and juice 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp dried oregano Salt & pepper Place chicken on nonstick or parchment lined baking sheet. Season with lemon zest & juice, garlic powder, oregano, & salt & pepper. Bake at 375ºF for 15-20 min, or until chicken is cooked through Cucumber & Tomatoes with Feta 2 cups cucumber, diced 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved ½ cup feta, crumbled 2 tbsp dill, chopped 1 tsp greek seasoning 3 tbsp oil 2 tbsp red wine vinegar Salt & pepper Tzatziki 1 cup plain Greek yogurt 1 cucumber 1-2 garlic cloves, grated ½ lemon, zest and juice ¼ cup dill, chopped Salt & pepper Peel, seed & grate cucumber. Using a clean kitchen towel, squeeze out excess water. In a med bowl, combine greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon zest & juice, dill & salt & pepper Cooked Quinoa Menu 4 Lemon Dill Salmon 4 6oz salmon fillets 1 tsp garlic powder 2 tbsp dill, chopped Salt & pepper to taste. 1 lemon, sliced (with rind on) Season salmon with dill & salt and pepper to taste. Place on nonstick or parchment lined baking sheet & top with lemon slices. Bake at 375ºF for 10-12 min, or until salmon is cooked through. Steamed Broccoli & Asparagus 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed & cut into thirds 1 broccoli crown, cut into florets Heat 1 inch of water in a large pot. Combine veggies in a steamer basket. Steam for 5-7 min or until vegetables turn bright green but still retain some of their crispness. Run under cool water to prevent further cooking White Rice with Parsley 1 cup white rice 2 cups water 1 garlic clove, grated Salt & pepper ¼ cup parsley, chopped ½ lemon, juiced In a med saucepan, bring rice & water to a boil over med-high heat. Run under cold water to stop cooking Chinese Fried Quinoa 2 cups quinoa, cooked 1 small onion, diced 1 garlic clove, minced 1 cup frozen peas and carrots 2 eggs, beaten (optional) 1-2 tbsp soy sauce oil In a large wok or skillet, heat oil over high heat. Add onion & carrots & cook for 3-4 min. Add peas, carrots & garlic & cook for another min. Push veggies to one side of the pan and scramble eggs on the opposite side. I ate one meal a day for over 30 days so here are my results. Learn what to expect with an omad diet meal plan. Eating one meal a day is a form of intermittent fasting for weight loss. Would you lose weight and more specifically would you lose body fat or would you lose muscle mass? Or maybe your body would go into starvation mode and cause you to gain weight rather than lose it due to a slower metabolism? Well that's exactly what we're going to drive into in today's video. I've been eating one meal a day not every day but almost everyday for about 2 years now. And it's worked really well for me, so today I'd like to let you guys know what results you can expect if you stick to only one meal day for the next 30 days. Even though I've had quite a bit of experience with the one meal a day diet myself I'm going to be sharing scientific studies and evidence that will help you see both the pros and the cons of this diet approach. First I want to go over the proper way to set up this diet plan for yourself because there's not an abundance of information out there on the one meal a day diet like there is on shorter fasting protocols like intermittent fasting. So a lot of people that try to stick to this diet plan mess it up from the very get go and turn it into more of a warrior diet. And the warrior diet is great, but that's not what we're going for here. You see the warrior diet is a different form of fasting where you fast for 20 hours of the day and you give yourself a four hour feeding window for eating. If you don't set limits to the amount of time you spend eating you easily can drag out your one single meal into a buffet that lasts for hours. So it's very important that you understand that one meal a day is also a 23/1 fasting to feeding split. Meaning you only give yourself a 1 hour feeding window usually during the same time every day and you have to spend the other 23 hours of the day fasting. If it isn't already obvious OMad or the one meal a day diet helps you create a calorie deficit without really thinking about restricting calories. When you're only eating once a day especially when you do it the right way and limit it to under an hour, you can only fit so much into your stomach before your full. So really we're limiting calories by decreasing meal frequency. Which immediately can be a red flag for those people that believe that your metabolism slows down when you decrease meal frequency. However, numerous studies have proven this to be a myth. One study called "meal frequency and energy balance" combined and examined research from a bunch of different studies on the topic of meal frequency. And the researchers found that a nibbling pattern of eating or eating more frequently didn't present any advantage as far as the metabolic rate was concerned. So your metabolism is not going to automatically slow down from eating only one meal a day for 30 days. If you have the same amount of calories in that one meal as you would in 6 meals then your metabolism should remain the same in both situations. So does that mean that the "starvation mode" that we've all been warned about is a big phony scam? Well turns out it's actually not, it's actually called adaptive thermogenesis and it's a very real response that your body has. In response to a decrease in energy intake your body will decrease energy expenditure in an effort to avoid starvation. However adaptive thermogenesis will occur based on the total amount of energy or calories coming in. As long as you don't fast for over 48 hours It doesn't matter if those calories all come in at once or throughout the day. In fact shorter fasts that last under 48 hours have been shown to increase your metabolism between roughly 4 to 14 percent due to an increase in norepinephrine concentration in the blood. But what about weight loss. Don't you lose more weight when you have meals more meals throughout the day due to something known as thermic effect of foods which simply means that digesting food throughout... Hey guys! Today I am sharing with you my weekly Weight Watchers Freestyle meal plan and prep for me and my family. I hope you enjoy this vlog! Thanks so much for watching :) Summer Collab video: https://youtu.be/Ki3-Fhtksq4 My veggie chopper: https://amzn.to/2uE3233 Swerve Powdered sugar: https://amzn.to/2O2rwLr Recipes: The Pioneer Woman's Sour Cream Noodle bake: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/sour-cream-noodle-bake0-2145182 *I substituted in 1lb of 93% lean ground turkey, and I used 1/2 cup of plain non fat greek yogurt instead of sour cream. I also only used 4oz of reduced fat cheese. I divided the cheese equally between each layer. With the changes I made this recipe makes 8 servings and each serving is 7fsp. Enjoy! Lemon Zucchini Muffins: You will need: 1.5 cups of shredded zucchini 1.5 cups of all purpose flour 3/4 cup of Truvia baking blend 1 egg 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce 1/2 tsp of salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp of baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tsp lemon zest Lemon glaze: 1/2 cup Swerve powdered sugar the juice of one lemon 1-2 tbsp of unsweetened vanilla almond milk Shred zucchini and squeeze all the excess water out of it. Zest the lemon. Add all the dry ingredients to the lemon zest and mix. Add all the wet ingredients to the shredded zucchini and mix. Add the flour to the zucchini mixture little by little. Make sure not to over mix. Divide the mixture into 12 prepared muffin tins. If you use cupcake liners make sure that you spray them really well with cooking spray. Bake at 375 for about 25 mins or until a tooth pick inserted into the center of the muffin comes out clean. To make the glaze: Mix together the Swerve powdered sugar, lemon juice, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk until you get the right consistency. Then take the muffins while they are still warm and dip each muffin into the glaze. This recipe makes 12 muffins and each muffin is only 3fsp. Enjoy! Broccoli Cauliflower salad: 2 heads of broccoli 1 head of cauliflower 1 1/2 cups of halved seedless grapes scallions (as many as you want) Dressing: 1/2 cup of plain non fat greek yogurt 1/2 cup of light mayo 1/2 cup of Truvia 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar Optional toppings: bacon bits reduced fat cheese or fat free cheddar would be 0fsp Chop all the veggies and place in a large bowl. Mix all the dressing ingredients together and pour over the veggies. Refrigerate at least 2 hours (overnight is best) before serving. This recipe makes eight 1 cup servings. Each serving is 1fsp. If you add the bacon bits and fat free cheddar cheese, it would be 2fsp. If you do like I did and use reduced fat cheese it will be 3fsp per serving. Enjoy!
