New research from Italy suggests that low levels of vitamin D may increase your risk of erectile dysfunction. When researchers tested 143 men with varying degrees of erectile dysfunction, they found that nearly half of them were coming up deficient in D, and only one in five had optimal levels of the nutrient. What’s more, men with severe cases of ED had vitamin D levels that were about 24 percent lower than those of men with mild forms of the condition. Insufficient levels of D may spur the production of free radicals called superoxide ions, according to study author Alessandra Barassi, M.D., and her research team. These free radicals deplete your nitric oxide, a molecule that helps your blood vessels function properly. The result: It makes it hard to, well, get hard. “Nitric oxide causes the blood vessels to relax, which increases the blood flow and causes an erection under normal circumstances,” says Larry Lipshultz, M.D., a Men’s Health urology advisor. Without the necessary amounts of nitric acid, though, your blood vessels may not relax enough to allow for an erection. If you suffer from ED, ask your doctor to check your vitamin D levels. For ED patients with low levels, the study recommends taking supplements to get back to the optimal level of 30 ng/mL or above. As for men with normal erectile functioning, Dr. Barassi says she’s currently studying whether vitamin D supplementation may act as a preventive measure to delay ED.

This simple exercise will also help avoid the embarrasing “premature ejeculation”, allowing you to statisfy your parter, better and long than ever before. If you’ve been following my work and watching my videos, you would know that certain exercises can either increase or decrease your libido, erection strength, hardness and even size, because of hormonal changes. If you didn’t already know, testosterone is the primary hormone that increases your libido, sex drive and “muscle size”. Unfortunately, this hormone starts to decrease around the age of 25. However, certain exercises can increase your decrease your testosterone. For example, doing too much cardiovascular exercise - like running, jogging, etc. can decrease your testosterone because of the increase in your stress hormone, cortisol. TWO things you do NOT want to do. One of the best forms of exercise for increasing your testosterone is lifting weights. However, too much of that isn’t good either. About 3-4x weekly, no more than an hour is just the right amount to increase your testosterone and help improve your libido and sex drive. The Non-Exercise, Exercise However, today I’m NOT going to discuss anything about lifting weights, cardio, etc. I’ve done that in the past. What I want to talk about is a very simple “non-exercise”, exercise... that you can do RIGHT NOW, while watching this video and that’s called, the Kegel Exercise. I call this the “non-exercise” exercise because it requires no gym, equipment or even real movement. Now, some of you may have heard of this. Unfortunately most do it incorrectly. Kegel exercises are done to strengthen the perineal muscles. To “flex” this muscle, it’s very simple. One way to describe how to do it is, by contracting your anus muscle, as if you’re trying to hold in gas. Go ahead and give it a try now... Another way to do it is stop peeing midway through. Thus, as you’re peeing, “contract the muscle” that will STOP the pee, midway through. That’s it - that’s a kegel exercise. Super simple, but extremely effective. You can literally do it anywhere, anytime and nobody would know. Sets & Reps You should do kegel’s about 3x a week to start with. Over time, slowly build up to 5x weekly. Just don’t do it every single day because like any muscle, it requires rest to gain strength. Contract the muscle (holding in gas or stop peeing) and hold for 3-5 seconds. Relax for 1-2 seconds. That’s ONE repetition Do this 10 of these, for 10 repetitions. That’s ONE set Do one set of 10 repetitions, 3x weekly. Then maybe the next week do 2 sets of 10 reps and work up to 3 sets of 10 reps, 3x weekly. You can do it all at once, or break it up 2-3x daily. Nothing it set in stone. What matters is consistency, persistence and patience. Benefits There lots of benefits when this muscle is strong Stronger, full erections Last longer, more stamina and the prevention of premature ejeculation. Stronger orgasms. Healthier prostate. Typically you have low testosterone, high female and stress hormones. And I’ve mentioned this in the past… However, there’s also a secondary reason that can’t and shouldn’t be ignored and that has to do with poor blood flow and circulation - throughout your body, but more specifically to your penis. BTW, this also affects women to a smaller degree by reduced blood flow to their clitoris. In fact, I want you to quickly watch this short 30 second clip from Dr. David Perlmutter and Dr. Daniel Amen. So there are two things I want to point out based on what was stated in the video clip: The Harvard study1 points out at the primary non-hormonal reason of erectile Dysfunction is “the most common cause is inadequate blood supply to the spongy tissues in the penis that provide rigidity”. Of course, poor blood flow also reduces the size and firmness of your penis. The second thing I want to point out is how Dr. Amen stated that “it means you have bad habits”. By this he means that most people are “unknowingly” making the wrong lifestyle choices every day and thus, the “bad habits”. And that’s what I quickly want to discuss today - 3 clinically proven and simple changes you can make right away, that’ll naturally improve your blood flow and circulation and thus, not only improving your erections. 3 Clinically Proven Ways To Increase Blood Flow & Improve Your Erections =-=-=-=-=- 1 - DIET Diet obviously plays a big role in improving your blood flow and reducing plaque buildup. The good news is that it’s never too late to eat a healthier diet. Just as years of bad eating can damage your body, good eating can help heal it and it can happen quickly. Add more “healthy” fats to your diet. These are typically mono and poly unsaturated fats. They’re found in foods like olives, raw seeds and nuts, avocados, and fish. These should be RAW and uncooked. Eliminate “unhealthy” and artificial sources of trans fats. Most artificial trans fats are found in processed, packaged foods like cookies and snack cakes. These have been heated and are hydrogenated. They are also high in omega 6 fats, which causes inflammation. Even regular so-called “healthy” oils like canola, cause inflammation. Increase your fiber intake. Soluble fiber helps prevent and remove plaque buildup. You can find soluble fiber in foods like vegetables, lentils, beans, and oats. I would also add in fiber supplements as well, especially if you have a hard time getting it all from food. Cut back on sugar. 2 -- Exercise First, we all need to move more. All we tend to do is sit all day long -- computer, phone, driving, eating, work, etc. The reason exercise is important is because it helps improve your youth hormones, which then helps your body naturally get rid of toxins - this includes plaque. You should lift weights and do cardio - both are needed. And in my opinion, “resistance exercise” is more important than cardiovascular. This means lifting weights - which can be with free weights, machines, cables or simply your own bodyweight. 3 -- Take Specific Supplements Taking specific herbs, vitamins and minerals that are clinically proven to help your improve blood flow and circulation, will give you the biggest and fastest improvements in preventing AND removing plaque buildup.
