How To Treat Low Blood Sugar (Diabetes Type 2)

09:31
Download My Diabetes Management Guide Here: https://goo.gl/EVRNmC You may think this is a weird question for a diabetes channel to tackle. But a 2015 study by Chloe Eldridge found that “Current evidence shows hypoglycaemia is considerably prevalent amongst people with type 2 diabetes, particularly for those on insulin, yet still fairly common for other treatment regimens. This highlights the subsequent need for educational interventions and individualisation of therapies to reduce the risk of hypoglycaemia.” First let’s define what we mean by hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia happens when the amount of blood glucose (sugar in the blood) drops to a level that's too low to sustain normal functioning; in most people, this is defined as a blood-sugar level below 70 mg/dl. Left untreated, hypoglycemia can lead to a coma and even death. It is very important that those with diabetes monitor sugar levels and treat hypoglycemia when it is present and right away. It happens more often than we think. So what does it feel like to have hypoglycemia? Let’s look at the most common risks of hypoglycemia, the symptoms and then what you need to do to treat the condition. You are at risk of having a low blood sugar reaction if you: Skip or delay a meal or snack. This is why it is so important for you to make sure you eat. I know the temptation to lose weight and other factors may cause you to not eat regularly, but it is so important that you eat 3 meals a day and eat your snacks in between meals. This is to maintain a steady, even blood sugar level. Take too much insulin or eat too few carbohydrates. We have all made a mistake in our dosage of insulin. You take it when half asleep or just in a hurry. It happens. Don’t try to pretend you didn’t make this mistake. It is fine! Just correct it. Also, in many of my videos I have stated that you must eat carbs. That is one reason a very low carb diet is not good for diabetes. It will really mess up your blood glucose regulating system. Trust me, I know from experience. Exercise. When you exercise, you are burning off carbs and sugars. This is great, but know that with your exercise comes a possibility for your blood sugar to be low. Get into the habit of checking your blood sugar before, during and after you exercise and be prepared. Have a carb snack ready to get that sugar back up. Drink alcohol, especially without eating carbohydrates. I have done extensive research on this topic. I have written about it and I have included the information in several of our videos. If you are going to drink alcohol, you must do so with food. Drink with a meal, or at the very least with snacks. Alcohol can bring down blood glucose levels drastically and the symptoms of hypoglycemia are often mistaken for drunkenness. Even if you are not intoxicated. 15/15 Rule If after checking your blood sugar and it is less than 70 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl), you will need to follow the 15/15 rule. Eat 15 grams of then rest for 15 minutes and then recheck your blood sugar If your blood sugar is still less than 100 mg/dl, take another 15 grams of carbohydrate and retest your blood sugar in another 15 minutes. Repeat if necessary. Important: If you have frequent low blood sugars speak to your doctor. You may need changes in your medication and/or meal plan. Quick Carbohydrate Guide for Treating Low Blood Sugars If your blood sugar is less than 70 mg/dl, you need 15 grams of a quickly absorbed carbohydrate, like the ones listed below. Each of the following servings provides 15 grams of carbohydrate. Candies 5 small gum drops 12 gummy bears 6 large jelly beans 5 Life Savers 15 Skittles 1 Tablespoon honey, jam or jelly 1 Tablespoon sugar in water 4 Starburst Beverages 1/2 cup apple juice 1/2 cup orange or grapefruit juice 1/2 cup pineapple juice 1/2 cup regular soda (not diet) 1/3 cup grape juice 1/3 cup cranberry juice 1/3 cup prune juice 1 cup fat free milk Fruits 1/2 banana 1 small apple 1 small orange 1/2 cup applesauce 2 tablespoons of raisins 15 grapes Other 3 to 4 glucose tablets 1 tube glucose gel The foods I have given you are easily absorbed and will raise blood sugar levels quickly. Foods that contain protein or fat — such as chocolate, candy bars, ice cream, cookies, crackers and bread — don't raise blood sugar quickly enough. If you have type 1 diabetes and you do not take care of low blood glucose, you may pass out. If you do, a drug called glucagon should be injected into your skin, like you do with insulin. This can be done by a family member or friend who has been taught how to do it. Since glucagon may cause you to vomit, you should be placed on your side when the injection is given. If no one knows how to give the injection, you should be taken to a hospital. You need a prescription for a glucagon kit. You should awaken about 10 minutes after the glucagon is injected. If you do not, you should be taken at once to a hospital.

Let’s look at the most common symptoms. There are two classes of hypoglycemic symptoms - those due to lack of sugar in the brain and those due to the adrenalin response of your body. When blood sugar levels get too low, the body will signal for the adrenal glands to kick in. This signals the liver for more sugar. Symptoms from the adrenalin response: One of the first signs you might notice is an insatiable hunger. You’ve eaten but nothing you eat can seem to fill you up. If you have this feeling and you just can’t get enough to eat, check your blood sugar immediately. If it is lower than 70, get 15 grams of fast acting carbs in your body. This can come from a variety of sources: 4 ounces fruit juice 6 ounces regular soda (not diet) 4 or 5 saltine crackers 1 tablespoon of jelly or honey 8 pieces of hard candy Inability to rest at night. This could be due to nocturnal hypoglycemia. Signs of Nocturnal Hypoglycemia are: Restlessness. Making unusual noises. Attempting to get out of bed or accidentally rolling out of bed. Sleepwalking. Nightmares. Sweating. You may wake up with a headache in the morning if your blood sugar was low during the night. Sometimes a snack before bed can reduce the frequency and severity of these sleep disturbances. Some people have a strong feeling of anxiety. This is caused by that rush of adrenalin. This overload of adrenalin can cause some very anxious moments and can also make you feel panicked. You may have uncontrollable sweating even if you aren’t hot. This can be one of the very first signs of hypoglycemia. The central nervous system kicks in after the adrenalin has been pushed from the adrenal glands and this causes the autonomic nervous system to issue a “sweat order” to the skin. Shakes and tremors. Because of the adrenalin rush, the central nervous system starts to malfunction. As a result, it releases chemicals that encourage glucose production and also produce the tremors. Symptoms from lack of sugar in the brain: Fatigue can actually fall in both categories. There is a fatigue that can set in after an adrenalin rush, but also a fatigue from the lack of sugar in the brain. Either can be very serious. Emotional instability. Mood swings and sudden emotional episodes not typical of your normal behavior are among the neurological symptoms of hypoglycemia. These could include irrational outbursts, random crying for no reason which may become uncontrollable, extreme anger without cause, and a strong desire to be left alone. Mild mood changes that may not be as severe, such as general irritability or becoming easily annoyed, can also be a signal that your blood sugar may be dropping. Dizziness and light-headedness. If you experience these common symptoms of hypoglycemia, heed them and treat the hypoglycemia quickly. Dropping blood sugar levels can result in fainting. If you feel dizzy or light headed, sit or lie down immediately to avoid injuring yourself. Because the brain is especially sensitive to a drop in sugar, you may experience a sense of confusion and an inability to concentrate on one thing at a time. Your mind seems to wander all over the place. If your vision suddenly becomes blurry or you see double, a drop in blood sugar may be to blame. This is also a result of the brain’s lack of sugar affecting the optic nerve. Your sugar-starved brain may cause you to slur your words. To others this may resemble someone who has been drinking. But you may not even notice. These lists are not exhaustive, but are the more common symptoms of hypoglycemia. According to WebMD, Some people have no symptoms of low blood sugar. The only symptom you may have is confusion. Or you may become unconscious before anyone realizes you have low blood sugar...

Going From Diabetes to Low Blood Sugars on Keto & Intermittent Fasting

Think about it - your meds are supposed to lower blood sugars and when you fix the true problem and things normalize and you still are taking this sugar lowering drug - it can push it below normal. The thing to do is get with your doctor and have them adjust your meds because chances are you don’t need as much. If you are off the medication and your blood glucose (sugar) levels are too low (60s) BUT you feel fine, you may in fact be fine because when you do ketogenic diet and IF your body is no longer running on glucose, it's running on ketones which do not involve so much glucose. However, if you feel weird if your sugars are low, it could be adrenals (cortisol or adrenaline). In this case, go at this more gradual and not too fast so your body can really adapt over time. Hey guys, I recently have a question from someone who was a diabetic, they have a high blood sugars, and they did ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting and then ended up having low blood sugars, hypoglycemia. They are a bit concerned with this complication and side effect from doing ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. No.1, the purpose of the medication that you are taking as a diabetic is to lower the blood sugars. If you are still taking the medications and you are doing ketogenic diet and IF you could end up with excessively low blood sugars because you don’t even need the medications, or you don’t need as much. Ketogenic diet and Intermittent Fasting decrease the need for diabetic medication, get with your doctor, adjust the dosage, reduce it or maybe you don’t need it at all. If your blood sugars is 100 or less, you don’t need the medication. Let’s say for example you are off with the medication and it is still too low but you feel fine, that is not a problem because when you do ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting you will actually have the new normal because you are not running your body on sugar anymore so your body will adapt and you can get by with a lot less 80, 70 or even 60 and feel fine because your body is not running in sugar anymore. But if you feel bad, if you feel jittery and if you feel your blood sugars are a problem, it can also be symptoms of the adrenal gland that is trying to compensate in bringing your sugars up but it can’t and then you’ll notice a symptoms of more of the spike of either cortisol or adrenaline and that could be why you are feeling that. If that’s the case then just basically go about it a little bit more gradual. Instead of going one-meal-a-day, do two meals, instead of doing 2 meals, do 3 meals no snacks adding a lot of greens, b vitamins, potassium supplements so you can actually correct this situation a lot better so you can go longer without meals. 5 Warning Low Blood Sugar Symptoms - Dangerous Blood Sugar Level

02:50
http://goo.gl/QCJ9b0 - How to reverse diabetes! Turns out, the diabetes industry is selling us fake research! Hi! I'm robo-Suzie and today I'll talk to you about 5 Warning Low Blood Sugar Symptoms. Also don't forget to check out the link below, to find out, how this guy reversed his diabetes! Turns out, the diabetes industry is selling us fake research! But back to our topic. If you are suffering from low blood sugar symptoms then there are many things around you that a person must be aware of. Dangerous blood sugar levels come top in the list. Diabetes is a medical condition which is characterized by elevated blood sugar levels. There is always a chance of over correction with the help of either exercise or insulin injection. Excessive insulin or strenuous exercise and insufficient food are the prime reasons of low blood sugar. There are top 5 low blood sugar symptoms; generally these symptoms come in order. These are Headache: This is the least serious symptoms of low sugar in bloodstream. If anyone is experiencing headache without any obvious reason then it is good to check the level of glucose to make sure that it is not the sign of dangerous blood sugar level. Mood Swings: If the level of glucose in the bloodstream falls steeply, there are bright chances that the sufferer snaps on the people around him for no reason. This is better to let the people around you know about low blood sugar symptoms. However if it is the habit of the diabetic to snap on the people around you all the time then the people around him won't be able to recognize this sign of low blood glucose. Numbness and Tingling: The lips, face and extremities will go numb. There would be some strange feelings in these areas. Shakes: If the glucose blood level goes too low then chances are that the sufferer begins to haze. The feeling is more like a person has drunk. The sufferer may also start to zone out and may begin to stare into nothingness. Seizures: If the level falls further the chances are that sufferer may become unconscious and begin to shake. If the situation is left untreated at this point it may result in death as well. It is wise to listen closely to the body and give due importance to early signs of low blood sugar. If the initial signs are ignored then there are chances that sufferer is not able to rationalize. The instant treatment of low sugar in bloodstream is to have something sweet preferable with table sugar in it. There are chances that the person goes from low zone to the high zone. However the low blood sugar is an uncomfortable phase and it is important to be out of the situation as early as possible. It is good to remember that ingesting of sugar requires some time. That's it! Thank you. Please subscribe, comment and like this video if it was helpful! See you soon!

Low Blood Sugar with Pete the Diabetic

SPECIAL THANKS TO MY DEAR FRIEND IN THIS VIDEO WHO HAS SAVED MY LIFE NUMEROUS TIMES!!! I LOVE YOU!! This video is an example of what happens when a TYPE 1 Diabetic becomes hypoglycemic and a great example of how to deal with someone having this issue. This IS NOT staged. People have always told me that I act “crazy” when my sugar drops and I never believed them, until now. I set up the camera to see for myself what I act like, but never expected this! When people say that I can be a real ass when I get this way, now I know how right they are. It is overwhelming. I feel like I am watching myself but have little control over what I say and what I do. I know, all the time it is happening, that I HAVE to eat, but have a lot of difficulty doing it quick enough. Please, be aware that I am not alone in this experience. Lot's of people go through this kind of thing because of TYPE ONE diabetes. TYPE 2 diabetics are different. Note: The paramedics did come and gave me the usual IV Glucose. My sugar was 30 mg/dL (milligrams per decilitre)

What Causes Hypoglycemia?

04:44
Support the deeper cause of a slow metabolism: Insulin & Glucose Support: https://bit.ly/2Og0mzy Support Healthy Insulin & Blood Sugar Levels Take the Body Type Quiz: http://bit.ly/TakeBodyTypeQuiz Dr. Berg talks about signs and symptoms of Hypoglycemia. "Hypo" means low and "glycemia" is blood sugar. So when you have low blood sugar, this is the time when you have Hypoglycemia and you might show hypoglycemia symptoms like feeling dizzy, irritable, craving for sweet, thirsty, depressed etc. Having either low or high sugar in the body is not good for health. Stress in adrenal glands can also cause Hypoglycemia. Too much sugar in the body causes the reverse effect and is called Hyperglycemia. There's a big confusion on the deeper cause of hypoglycemia. If someone consumes excess sugars it creates a whiplash effect of the pancreas pumping out the insulin. This over-reaction will create a drop in blood sugar. But never then add sugar when you have low sugar unless you want to continue this problem. These are some signs of hypoglycemia. My recovery after severe Type 1 Diabetic seizure

06:54
Hi I'm Royce, This is me recovering from a severe type 1 diabetic seizure where my roommate had to call paramedics (this summer). If my blood sugar gets too low, I can fall into a diabetic shock, bite my tongue, forget who I am and completely lose consciousness (similar to epilepsy). If I ride too high, I feel nauseous and make myself vulnerable to long term complications such as, eye damage, kidney damage, strokes, ulcers and nerve damage. Managing type 1 diabetes is like a double-edged sword and I'm constantly riding this wave to keep incidents like these from happening. Eating healthy and sticking to a balanced lifestyle is key but not always easy. I'm pushing myself to bring more awareness to this disease. I'm on the insulin pump and test my blood 5 to 6 times a day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnwL5w9XhRU IG : https://www.instagram.com/royce.costa/

Low Blood Sugar Symptoms - You Should Be Aware of

Low Blood Sugar Symptoms You Should be Aware of! Visit: http://www.tipsforhealths.com/hcg-ultra-diet-trial Claim your HCG Ultra diet trial You may have these symptoms when your blood sugar has dropped below 70 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL): Headache * Sweating Check for sweating on the back of your neck at your * hairline. * Shakiness * Weakness * Blurred vision * Nervousness * Extreme hunger * Dizziness * A fast heartbeat and feeling anxious * Slight nausea If your blood sugar continues to drop (Below 40 mg/dL), your behavior may change. Symptoms may include: * Inability to concentrate. * Confusion and irritability * Slurred speech * Unsteadiness when standing or walking * Muscle twitching * Personality changes, such as anger or crying. Symptoms of severe low blood sugar: Symptoms of severe low blood sugar (usually below 20 mg/dL) include: * Seizure. * Loss of consciousness (coma). * Stroke. * Death. ------------------------------------------------------- The body uses glucose or sugar as fuel to work. The brain needs sugar almost exclusively. The brain cannot produce its own sugar and depends on the body for its supply. If glucose level in the blood falls, brain may cease to function normally. Body gets required sugar or glucose from foods. Nervousness, intense hunger, palpitations, sweating, trembling, weakness, are normally the common symptoms of hypoglycemia. This is a chronic disease and cannot be cured by medicine. Low blood sugar is the typical cause for Hyperglycemia. If the sugar level in your body falls below 60 mg/dl, liver releases glucose. This is normal biological cycle. If liver fails to releases the required extra sugar, it becomes a case of hypoglycemia. For a patient who suffers from hypoglycemia losses sugar through urination. In a normal person excess sugar is stored in liver as glycogen. During strenuous physical labor or long periods of fasting, body gets its sugar supply from liver. Gluco-neo-genesis is the biological process which converts glycogen to glucose. The problem in imbalance of sugar level in body happens due to malfunctioning of Pancreas. Patients with diabetes (Type1 diabetes or Type 2 diabetes) who have insulin resistance can also have low sugars. Prolonged fasting can trigger this process further. There are other causes for hypoglycemia, like insulin producing tumors (insulinomas) and certain medications. The primarily cause of hypoglycemia is diabetes mellitus. When the glucose level in circulating blood falls, the brain actually senses the drop. Brain sends an alert to the affected person in the form of hunger. Brain also starts several biological actions to increase sugar level. There will be decrease in insulin secretion and increase in glucagon; cortisol secretion as these hormones boosts higher blood glucose level. If blood glucose sugar level falls to 45 mg/dl range, patient starts to feel confusion, drowsiness, changes in behavior, coma and seizure. This is the case of acute hypoglycemia. Type 1 Diabetes: Low Blood Sugar Coma

01:26
Type 1 Diabetes visualization of a low blood sugar coma. Whatever diabetes type, you can get low blood sugar at night and you wake up and everything is a blur and confusing. I based this on my own experiences of low blood sugar. When I get really low all lights start to get halos and things no longer make sense. It's like those mornings where you are still half asleep but in this instance the adrenaline is blaring telling you that if you want to die all you have to do is nothing. I would recommend for all type one diabetics or users of insulin and insulin raising drugs to keep glucose tabs next to your bedside. I have mine there a long with a year old sugar soda I haven't used yet. I won third place in the sight category for this video. To see all contest winners visit this link. http://www.makingsenseofdiabetes.org I wrote this list of low blood sugar symptoms for a friend. I hope it is helpful. These are the immediate remedies for low blood sugar: • If the person is conscious and able to eat o Drink some orange juice or sugar soda o Eat some white bread (refined white flour product), 0% fat candy, or some glucose tabs.  http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/walgreens-glucose-tablets/ID=prod6092942-product?ext=gooHome_Medical_Supplies_ampersand_Equipment_PLA_Oral_Glucose_prod6092942&adtype=pla • If the person is not conscious or not able to eat o If your doctor can prescribe one, inject person with a glucagon shot. It's a hormone that stimulates sugar production in the liver. o Squirt some dextrose (glucose gel) under their tongue and rub for absorption. Paramedics normally do this since glucagon has to be refrigerated and people can develop a tolerance for it.  http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/walgreens-glucose-gel/ID=prod6000553-product There are two parts of getting low blood sugar. There's the adrenaline rush and then the low blood sugar effect. It's important to remember that these two processes are asynchronous. Fixing the low sugar doesn't make the adrenaline go away immediately. Calming down doesn't have any impact on low sugar. Adrenaline • Sense of urgency • Flight or fight, you want to punch someone or just be left alone • Angry at poor customer service ;) If I ever raise my voice at a store, I know that I've got too much adrenaline in my system. • Shaky hands- I usually notice this before anything else • Sweaty hands or hot flash • Loss of complex cognitive function-ex, ability to plan a complicated schedule Sometimes, like if I'm really involved in a problem or in a film shoot I may not even notice the adrenaline surge. Or it's like as soon as I stand up for something, it hits me all of a sudden. Low Blood Sugar (the brain starts rationing energy) If you've ever fasted for a long time or gone hungry, these effects will be very similar. The body recognizes your low sugar supply and starts rationing the glucose it has left in the body. Beginning of low blood sugar: • Tired, unexplained drowsiness • Hungry • Or for diabetics who are used to thinking with high blood sugar, uncanny clarity of thought and senses. • Lack of motivation for any complex motor task Hopefully as this stage begins, your body will also shoot you up with adrenaline so that you know for sure what's happening. Then there's the oh crap I'm low phase • Halos around lights • Everything has a weird soft glow • You feel slightly separated from your body • You feel like you're going to pass out- like you're walking somewhere and you feel like a half a second just disappeared in space-time. • Unable to think of anything creative or frontal cortex activities. • Lightheadedness or dizziness • Not fully conscious (sometimes I'll eat while I'm sleeping if I have really low blood sugar) Also, remember, if someone you know is already in the semi-conscious state of low blood sugar then it's probably better to call the paramedics right away and then try to remedy the situation while the paramedics are on their way. note: For any robot copyright fascists, the music soundtrack does not contain any copyrighted performance or production of Mozart's 25th. As noted in video credits, music was generated from public domain by creating a wav file from a sheet music file (midi). It's a magic program which takes notes and computer instruments to make free music files on the series of pipes and tubes.

How Bananas Affect Diabetes and Blood Sugar Levels - One Health

11:17
Diabetes Mellitus - How Bananas Affect Diabetes and Blood Sugar Levels - One Health 👉👉👉 Get It Here: http://tinyurl.com/lydyceh 👈👈👈 How Bananas Affect Diabetes and Blood Sugar Levels When you have diabetes, it is important to keep blood sugar levels as stable as possible. Good blood sugar control can help prevent or slow the progression of some of the main medical complications of diabetes For this reason, avoiding or minimizing foods that cause big blood sugar spikes is essential. Despite being a healthy fruit, bananas are pretty high in both carbs and sugar, the main nutrients that raise blood sugar levels. So, should you be eating bananas if you have diabetes? How do they affect your blood sugar? Bananas Contain Carbs, Which Raise Blood Sugar If you have diabetes, being aware of the amount and type of carbs in your diet is important. This is because carbs raise your blood sugar level more than other nutrients, which means they can greatly affect your blood sugar control. When blood sugar rises in non-diabetic people, the body produces insulin. It helps the body move sugar out of the blood and into the cells where it’s used or stored. However, this process doesn’t work as it should in diabetics. Instead, either the body doesn’t produce enough insulin or the cells are resistant to the insulin that is made. If not managed properly, this can result in high-carb foods causing big blood sugar spikes or constantly high blood sugar levels, both of which are bad for your health. 93% of the calories in bananas come from carbs. These carbs are in the form of sugar, starch and fiber A single medium-sized banana contains 14 grams of sugar and 6 grams of starch Bananas are high in carbs, which cause blood sugar levels to rise more than other nutrients. Bananas Also Contain Fiber, Which May Reduce Blood Sugar Spikes Banana Peel Peeling Away From a Banana In addition to starch and sugar, a medium-sized banana contains 3 grams of fiber. Everyone, including diabetics, should eat adequate amounts of dietary fiber due to its potential health benefits. However, fiber is especially important for people with diabetes, as it can help slow the digestion and absorption of carbs This can reduce blood sugar spikes and improve overall blood sugar control One way of determining how a carb-containing food will affect blood sugars is by looking at its glycemic index (GI). The glycemic index ranks foods based on how much and how quickly they raise blood sugar levels. SIGNS OF LOW BLOOD SUGAR

01:13
http://www.nutritionforest.com/blood-sugar-support.html http://www.nutritionforest.com Nutrition Forest Blood Sugar Support Made with an superb blend of herbs and nutrients, Blood Sugar Support is formulated to help the body maintain healthy blood sugar levels that are in the normal range. The key herbs include Cinnamon, Gymnema Sylvestre, Banaba, Bitter Melon, and Guggul. Also added are effective amounts of Chromium Picolinate, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. The recommended dose is one capsule three times daily with meals. While eating a sugary snack, fruit, and carbohydrates, it breaks down into glucose (blood sugar) that is important for energy in your cells. In order to get into that glucose into your cells, your body produces insulin that acts like the key unlocking the door. Excess glucose can lead to diabetes but excess insulin or insulin resistance is a problem too. Unfortunately, most people’s blood sugar is not properly balanced. If you’re getting too much glucose, it leads to high blood-sugar levels, which your body can’t break down and stores as fat. Ironically, not getting enough sugar can also lead to putting on extra pounds! Eating too little glucose can lead to a low blood sugar level, causing your body to go into “starvation mode” where it burns your lean muscle instead of the fat – a double whammy to your system and your diet. Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels in the normal range is not only critical for energy and mood, but also for cardiovascular, nervous system, and immune health . Since the typical diet is high in refined carbohydrates and sugars, it’s no wonder that such a high proportion of our population has blood sugar concerns. Hectic lifestyles, chronic stress , and genetic predispositions can also easily upset the delicate balance of physiological events that influence glucose and insulin levels. It is very important that blood sugar levels are kept as close to normal as possible. For most people with diabetes, a healthy range is between 90 and 130 mg/dl before meals and less than 180 mg/dl at one to two hours after a meal (see chart below). A doctor or health care provider can tell a person with diabetes about how and when to test blood sugar. It is helpful to keep a record of blood sugar readings several times during the day. diabetes type 2 diabetes diabetes symptoms symptoms of diabetes type 1 diabetes hypoglycemia glucose prediabetes diabetes mellitus low blood sugar blood sugar levels normal blood sugar low blood sugar symptoms hypoglycemia symptoms normal blood sugar level high blood sugar symptoms of low blood sugar glucose levels symptoms of high blood sugar blood glucose levels normal glucose levels high blood sugar symptoms glucose test glucometer how to lower blood sugar blood sugar chart juvenile diabetes symptoms of hypoglycemia fasting blood sugar blood sugar range what is normal blood sugar normal blood glucose levels diabetes test normal sugar level signs of low blood sugar normal blood sugar range blood sugar test what is hypoglycemia glucose meter high glucose levels blood sugar levels chart signs of high blood sugar causes of diabetes signs of hypoglycemia diabetes treatment normal fasting blood sugar continuous glucose monitoring blood glucose meters blood glucose sugar level lower blood sugar foods that lower blood sugar blood sugar monitor glucose level chart high glucose low blood sugar levels glucose monitor

Low Blood Sugar, Intermittent Fasting & Your Liver

05:05
Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about low blood sugars, intermittent fasting and your liver. When you have hypoglycemia, your adrenals compensate to raise in sugar but ALSO your liver. Your brain is the number one target for symptoms from hypoglycemia. If you have liver scar tissue as in cirrhosis or a fatty liver, this can lessen the function of the liver. The liver normally makes glycogen, which is stored sugar and releases it between meals to stabilize low blood sugar, and having damaged liver can lessen this function causing more low blood sugar problems. Your liver also makes a hormone called Insulin-Like Growth Factor (IGF-1), which mobilizes the fat and stored sugar for energy, when you are not eating. Again, if you have a damaged liver, you can suffer the symptoms of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). To remedy this, its vital you consume enough VEGETABLES. Low Blood Sugar Symptoms -- 10 Signs of it, with 3 Alternative Health Ideas to Help!

05:46
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free guide to shopping for dietary supplements! If there is no glucose in the bloodstream or very little, then this is called hypoglycemia. You probably have experienced some of this when you exercised really hard or have gone a while without eating. Other causes of it would be an illness like kidney or pancreas problems. Using too much prescription medicine, as well as consuming a lot of alcohol can also bring about this problem. The most common indicator someone has low blood sugars would be hunger, since the body is crying out for energy in order to operate correctly. Your heart could be beating faster and you may be feeling nervous or jittery as your body enters into survival mode. Next your skin might turn cold and clammy as fuel is prioritized to important organs to keep the body running. If blood sugar levels drop even further it will bring about worse symptoms. A person's vision could be blurry and they could feel lightheaded, confused and short tempered. I know that If I go without food for a while I begin to get irritable and bad tempered. Also the person might have difficulties with walking, keeping their balance or driving a car. Since the body needs sugar to run and if it stops completely what do you think will happen? Exactly a person could easily pass out, and their body could shut down. Seizures can take place and lastly with no sugar the body will cease to operate, and a person could die. One of the best ways to control blood sugar levels is by ensuring you're getting all the vitamins and minerals your body needs. For instance B vitamins have a lot to do with cell health. Various studies show that low levels of vitamin D increases insulin resistance and causes poor control over blood glucose levels. Someone can get these vitamins through eating food, but it's very risky. The truth is that most of the food we eat does not have the vitamins and minerals like it used to. I would highly recommend getting a good multi-vitamin to ensure you're not going to be deficient in any vitamins, which can cause many problems. There are also some herbal remedies that help with blood sugar levels like ginseng. This herb reverses fatigue, strengthens the heart, nervous system and helps someone think. Consuming a green tea supplement or drinking the beverage can help. What it does is boost insulin activity that can transport more glucose to where it's needed. Many of these herbal remedies someone can get by consuming a dietary supplement. I'm a huge fan of dietary supplements simply because they are convenient to take, and can provide a person with tons of benefits. The bad news with dietary supplements is the fact that nobody really checks to ensure these products are safe and do what they say. The fact is many government agencies around the world don't have the resources to check these products before they are sold. They also think it's up to companies to make sure their product is safe and does what it states. We both know that in a competitive world it's going to be tempting for an organization to do whatever it can to earn the most amount of money. The sad fact is that many supplements on the marketplace have problems. The famous Consumerlabs tested many of the top selling supplement brands and they discovered almost half either have harmful ingredients or they are mislabeled. To make things a little easier on you I have created a guide that I feel can really help someone in their quest of finding supplements to enhance their health. This guide can share with you a few warning signs you might not be aware of that a product will most likely be harmful to you. It goes over various herbal remedies as well as a few common ones found in everyday items that are actually dangerous. It also offers some online resources and much more. The best part is that it's completely free. You can take a look at this guide by clicking on http://utahtexans.com/.

Managing vs. Correcting Hypoglycemic (Low Blood Sugar) Reactions With Diabetes

03:25
Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Take the Quiz: https://www.drberg.com/evaluation Dr. Berg talks about hypoglycemic reactions when you have diabetes. If you think about, hypoglycemic reactions occur when you have too much insulin, not when you have not enough. Wouldn't it make sense to take less and do things to reduce the insulin? Well this is not addressed instead the reaction is "managed" and more carbohydrates are recommended to raise this low blood sugar, which keeps the cycle going on and on. There are huge side effects of taking too much insulin: -Retinal damage -Heart damage -Brain and nerve damage -Kidney Damage But the big point you need to understand is whats behind hypoglycemia - it is high insulin. To reduce insulin and keep it from going to high and even keep from taking too much and driving the blood sugars too low? LOWER YOUR DIETARY SUGARS REDUCE THE FREQUENCY OF EATING It is true that consuming protein will raise sugar and so would taking carbs, but this is ONLY a very temporary action.
