This is a 10/10 interval workout on a treadmill which basically means (which you should already know if you watched the video) that you go all out for 10 seconds and then rest for ten seconds and in the case of this treadmill workout you keep repeating that process over & over for 10 minutes. *You could also do the workout longer than 10 minutes but no longer than 40 minutes once the 10 minute workout gets easy. It's best that you jump off and on the treadmill when switching between the working and non-working parts of this treadmill workout because by the time you speed up or slow down the treadmill the 10 seconds will be quickly over so it's best just to keep your treadmill at the max speed you're going to use throughout the entire workout. If this workout is truly intense for you meaning that you don't really feel like doing anything at all after you 10-to-40 minute workout then only perform this workout 3-to-4 days per week 1-to-2 times per day but if this workout tends to be too easy for you meaning you can do more than 40 minutes at a time on the treadmill without feeling very tired at all or if you feel like you can easily do some more weight training etc. afterwards then feel free to do this walking treadmill workout more than 4 days per week but... The fastest way to lose weight is to find something that will burn you out after 20-to-40 minutes that you can do 3-to-4 days per week because the harder something is to do = the longer your metabolism stays up meaning you'll burn fat at rest while you're sleeping, watching TV, at your job and etc. You also do not have to own a treadmill to perform this workout. Walking continuously for 30 minutes or more is best fat burning. Brisk walking pace for 30 minutes will cover a distance of 2.5 to 3.5 . Kms. If you want to start walking, start up with 10 minutes will ,help you . Gradually you’ll cover a distance of 2.5 kms. If your schedule doesn’t permit walking continuously for 39 minutes, break it up into walking twice or three times a day for shorter period of at least 10 minutes at a brisk pace. Remember always warm up for five minutes at an easy pace. If you're anything like me you HATE running. Sprints are SO great for your cardiovascular system - and for fat loss- but they can be difficult for some people. I always get shin splints and hurt for days. I found these three non-running cardio workouts to help! ONE "Mt. Everest" -Start with an easy pace at 0% incline -Every 40 seconds steps off the machine and raise the incline by 1% -Continue to do this, with 40 seconds "on" and 20 seconds "off" until you get to a good incline that is challenging -Decrease the incline 1% every 40 seconds until you're back to the floor TWO: Walk, Lunge Squat -Put treadmill on a high incline and a slow pace (1.5 mph or so) -Start with 30 seconds of walking, then lunges, then squats THREE: Around the World ("Skip to my Lou") -Set treadmill at 0% incline -Walk 10 steps -Turn side ways and side skip/side step 10 steps -Return to the front to walk 10 steps -Turn to the opposite side and side skip/side step 10 steps -Repeat

What happens when you walk for: 1 to 5 Minutes The moment you step out of the door to take your first steps, your body will release energy-producing chemicals to fire you up for the walk. When you start walking, your heart rate will increase from 70 to 100 beats per minute — this beneficial change warms the muscles and boosts blood flow. You'll also find that stiffness reduces, and this is all thanks to the lubricating fluid that your joints produce— this will help you move more easily. At this point, your body starts to burn up to five calories per minute — fats and carbohydrates will be used as fuel to burn energy. 6 to 10 Minutes At this time period, your heartbeat goes all the way from 100 to 140 beats per minute. And you'll start burning up to six calories per minute. Right now, your blood pressure will spike up a little but still gets countered by the release of chemicals that expand blood vessels. This then supplies more blood and oxygen to working muscles. Look, As you walk more, your body, heart and cardiovascular system will have what it takes to maintain resiliency, and your blood pressure lowers in the long run. 11 to 20 Minutes Right now your body temperature increases and that's a good thing. The good news is, you can get it for free after a 20-minute walk! 21 to 45 Minutes This is the point where your body releases more tension and relaxes further. This typically happens as a result of the release of endorphins in your brain. The good thing is, you'll get to burn more fat at this stage and insulin levels drop significantly. This is great for people looking shed excess weight — so be sure to keep up if you're one of them! 45 to 60 Minutes At this point, you're exceeding all previous benefits for longer — boosting blood flow, burning more calories and oxygenating your body. It's also good to know that you're also fortifying your heart, losing unhealthy fat, strengthening your immune system, increasing Vitamin D levels (since you're in the sun) and feeling great. Moreover, studies have shown that walking is just as effective as antidepressants — it eases stress and anxiety. Who wouldn't want to experience these amazing benefits? Treadmill workouts for weight loss - Treadmill Interval Training: 5 Step Fat Loss Workout (Intense) Want to get thin faster? Perfect your treadmill interval training technique with these 5 steps. Hi my name is Lauren Kern, I'm a personal trainer, certified sports and conditioning specialist, and a figure competitor with the NPC. Hi my name is Aaron Ribant, I'm a personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. We're here at Core Fitness in Hermosa Beach, California. Today we're going to talk to you about treadmills. One of the best programs on the treadmill for fat loss is the speed interval program. It's a program that takes you from a jog speed to a full-out run speed. It's a very, very difficult program, but it's probably the best program available to you for fat loss. You want to step onto the device slowly, making sure that it's off first. You want to hold onto the hand rails. #1. WARMUP: WALK 2 MINUTES You want to begin at a nice easy speed. I usually like hitting quick start, and slowly increasing the speed until I feel like I'm at a comfortable brisk walking pace. I usually keep it there for 2-3 minutes before increasing to a jog that I feel I can maintain for a long period of time. #2. WARMUP: JOG 2 MINUTES You always want to make sure that you're looking straight ahead on the treadmill, and I recommend that you're not reading any magazines while jogging. Ok -- now that you've reached your jog speed, go down to the menu on the treadmill. We're going to hit the "speed interval" button. It's going to ask you for a little bit of input here. You've already got your jog speed, so go ahead and enter that information. #3. CHOOSE YOUR JOG & SPRINT SPEEDS Again, you should be at a pace where you could maintain all day, if you had to. That speed's going to be anywhere from 2 mph to 7 mph, depending on your degree of running. But you have to catch your breath during this phase, so go pretty light. It's going to ask for the "speed interval" or the "sprint interval." Again, this is going to be at the fastest pace possible, as long as you're safe. So don't hold back, but if you're having a hard time staying on the treadmill, that's a little bit too fast, so back it off by a mile or two. Then hit the "speed interval" button. That's going to ramp you up to the sprint speed. You want to begin at sprinting intervals that are shorter than your jogging intervals. You always want to allow yourself more time to recover than the time that you spend in your high intensity interval. #4. HARD SPRINT: 1 MINUTE So I usually recommend that people start with a 3 minute jog to a 1 minute sprint, and you can slowly increase this until your sprint and jog intervals are the same amount of time. #5. EASY JOG: 3 MINUTES A couple great things about that program is its time efficiency and sheer calories burned in that short amount of time. It utilizes different energy systems, allowing your body to work at high intensity levels, and at the same time giving it time to recover in between those intervals. And you can bet that he's feeling that burn. Start with a light warm-up walk on the treadmill for two to five minutes. Follow up with toe-touches, neck rotations and leg stretches. The Workout The key to this one is going at a slower pace for one minute, ratcheting it up for one minute, then continuing to switch between the two. Your core speed will be 3.2. Your higher speed will start at 4.8, and every time you come back to it, turn it up by 0.2. Once you reach 5.4, come back to 3.2, then your workout is complete. Afterwards, stretch it out as usual. Two Lower Back Stretch Tips 1st: Lie down flat on the mat, arms extended. Bend your knees, then pull your left knee towards your chest. During this, straighten out your right leg. Now, reverse the legs. 2nd: Get a 10-to-30 lb. hand weight. Bend over and slowly lift it off the floor with both hands, straightening up. Lower it as low as possible for three seconds, then lift it. Let’s face it, sometimes getting a good, brisk walk on a treadmill, or knocking out a 5K in the gym is all we can manage to stick to our fitness goals. Are we missing out on some key benefits by running on a treadmill instead of taking our run outside, though? Running on a treadmill would seem to offer the very same benefits. If you run at the same pace for the same amount of time, even adjusting the incline to match the challenge of running an actual hill outdoors, you’re still going to burn the same number of calories and build the same number of fast-twitch fibers in your muscles. You’ll improve your cardiovascular health just the same, too, but here’s what you aren’t getting out of your treadmill workout in the gym: 1. Being outdoors improves your mood. Any cardiovascular exercise helps to create feel-good endorphins that contribute to the “runner’s high” we’ve all heard about, but mother nature offers a color palate – blues and greens – known to help us feel happy. Then there’s the sunlight. The last time I checked, most gyms are lit with grotesque fluorescent lights which make even the most fit athlete look like death warmed over. They also don’t expose us to Vitamin D – an important nutrient which helps us feel great, but that also fights against cancer, bone deterioration and even seasonal depressive disorder. 2. Being outdoors can help attention restoration. There is a disorder named for our inability to focus on anything. If you’ve noticed your attention span is about as long as a flea, then you likely need to restore your cognitive abilities. Taking your run, and other physical activities outdoors gives your brain a rest. So, though might be able to watch the next episode of your favorite television program while on the treadmill, simply being outside will give your mind the rest it truly deserves. Your body also gets what it craves too – movement! 3. Being outdoors reduces the incidence of cardiac arrest, Running outside can help decrease inflammation, spurs weight loss, and can even help you sleep better. 4. Exercise already slows aging by helping the body scavenge free radicals, but being outdoors increases anti-aging factors by at least 35%. Research published by the Journal of Aging health found that spending time outdoors even helps people suffering from dementia and other diseases more commonly found among the elderly. 5. Being outdoors will inspire you to run farther. Boredom is a big reason we don’t make it that extra mile when we’re clocking them. Researchers have found that simply being outside can inspire us to run a little farther, or challenge our bodies in a new way. Maybe we take a different route or run downhill instead of uphill for a change. The added variety is good for muscle confusion, and the sights and sounds of being outside can make running much more interesting. The next time you think of driving to the gym, finding your favorite treadmill, and knocking out a few miles, reconsider taking your workout outdoors. You’ll be smarter, happier, and live longer for it.

So if you cannot stop completely then instead of walking to lose weight fast you will need to start running to lose 10, 20 or 30 pounds as fast as possible because you need to make the workout more intense The amount of weight you lose (whether it be in a week or a month) still depends on how overweight you are. The more overweight you are = the faster you will lose weight. In the walk workout video I’m giving you many options to make yourself heavier in order to help you burn more calories or to lose weight much faster because again the heavier you can make yourself or the more obese you are = the faster you will burn fat. The options that I used in the video are a teddy bear, book bag WHICH you must fill up with stuff to make heavier and a book bag. You are not limited to those options. Whatever you can do to make yourself heavier then go for it so you can lose weight fast like in a week! For the adding of extra weight to lose more weight faster in a week trick to work you have to add at least 10% of your own weight for it to work. If you weigh 120 pounds then add at least 12 pounds If you weigh 150 pounds then add at least 15 pounds If you weigh 175 pounds then add at least 17 pounds If you weigh 200 pounds then add at least 20 pounds If you weigh 225 pounds then add at least 22 pounds If you weigh 250 pounds then add at least 25 pounds If you weigh 275 pounds then add at least 27 pounds If you weigh 300 pounds then add at least 30 pounds If you weigh 325 pounds then add at least 32 pounds If you weigh 350 pounds then add at least 35 pounds If you weigh 375 pounds then add at least 37 pounds If you weigh 400 pounds then add at least 40 pounds The Nordic poles are proven to burn way more calories than normal walking so for example… normal walking at 3 mph burns about 250 calories every 20 minutes while Nordic walking with a pole will burn about 500 calories every 20 minutes walking at the same damn speed.
