HOW TO TREAT INSOMNIA Insomnia is characterized by the chronic inability to fall asleep or get enough sleep. People who suffer from insomnia may wake up the following day still feeling tired, which can interfere with their day to day activities. The following article will give you some tips and advice for managing and treating your insomnia. METHOD1 CONSIDERING LIFESTYLE CHANGES AND ROUTINES 1)FIND THE CAUSE OR SOURCE OF YOUR INSOMNIA. Try to find what is preventing you from falling asleep and, if possible, eliminate it. You may need to fix other problems and issues first in order to treat your insomnia. For example: If anxiety or depression are keeping you awake at night, find what is making you feel anxious or depressed and try to manage that. Your roommate might like to read or work late into the night, and the light he or she uses is keeping you awake. If your roommate is unable or refuses to work in another room, purchase a sleeping mask instead. 2)ESTABLISH A NIGHTLY ROUTINE. Try to perform the same activities every night before your bedtime. This means going to bed at the same time every evening and wake up at the same time every morning. You can also incorporate some relaxing activities into your bedtime routine, such as reading or listening to soft music. 3)MAKE SURE YOUR BEDROOM IS COMFORTABLE BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP. This means that the temperature is to your liking, and that the lighting is dark enough for you to fall asleep. If your room is too warm, try to cool it down by opening a window, using fewer blankets, or turning a fan or air conditioning. • If your room is too cold, try to wear warmer clothing to sleep or using more blankets. • If you live in an area that is very bright at night, even if you turn off the lights, invest in a sleeping mask that covers your eyes. _______________________________________________________________ how to treat insomnia, how to treat insomnia, how to treat insomnia in the elderly, how to treat insomnia during pregnancy, how to treat insomnia from lexapro, how to treat insomnia, how to treat insomnia in the elderly, how to treat insomnia during pregnancy, how to treat insomnia from lexapro, how to treat insomnia and anxiety, how to treat insomnia wikihow, how to treat insomnia without drugs ________________________________________________________________ Google Plus- https://plus.google.com/u/0/115796018169736708219 Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Self-Health-Care-555606237897236/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/selfhealthcare2 Reddit- https://www.reddit.com/user/bkrashid/ Blog - https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=3204012849514247540#allposts Pinterest- https://www.pinterest.com/selfhealthcareb/self-health-care/ Intro Video music - http://topfreeintro.com/ Voice : http://www.fromtexttospeech.com/ Watch More :Sel Health Care Videos_ Subscribe - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-SozdSnKgErDMj_B0I2IVQ Article Credit :http://www.wikihow.com/Treat-Insomnia - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Insomnia is defined as the inability to either fall asleep or stay asleep for any length of time. This condition affects most people at some point in their lives, and every night millions of people around the world go to bed and struggle to get a decent nights sleep. Americans spend nearly $5 billion a year for sleep medications that are only marginally effective. Often people experience insomnia because they are unable to switch off their minds, and as a result they either can’t fall asleep or they awaken suddenly in the middle of the night and just can’t get back to sleep. Good quality sleep is vital for your overall health because it gives the mind a break from the pressures and stresses of daily life, while the cells and tissues of the body are repaired, and energy levels are replenished. Research has shown that sleep helps to regulate our hormones and recharge the body’s immune system, which protects us from infection and disease. This is why a lack of sleep can be so devastating to our health. The leading cause of insomnia in today’s world is stress. Stress often leads to depression and anxiety, which are also conditions that keep you lying awake at night. Whatever the cause of your insomnia, the results are the same; you feel tired, suffer from a foggy brain, have reduced ability to cope with your day-to-day routine, you can develop anxiety attacks and, in more serious scenarios, severe depression. Natural aids, such as essential oils, are a great alternative to more traditional sleeping pills that can leave you sluggish and hungover in the morning. Essential oils on the other hand have calming properties, can stimulate the pineal gland to release more melatonin (necessary for the sleep cycle) and balance the nervous system, all without side effects. Using aromatherapy treatments at bedtime can often help you overcome periods of insomnia. There are several essential oils that are helpful with insomnia; here are some of the most popular ones. Lavender is well known for its calming and relaxing qualities. You can diffuse it in your bedroom, or use it in a carrier oil that moisturises the skin. I find fractionated coconut oil to be the best carrier oil because not only is it a superfood it has a range of incredible medicinal benefits. Orange is known for its uplifting qualities. If your sleep is troubled by anxiety or depression, this can be a useful essential oil in its own right or combined with other oils in a blend. You can diffuse it or even take it internally. Frankincense is centuries old and but is an essential oil that is incredibly useful in lowering levels of anxiety or chronic stress that can keep you up at night. It has a calming, grounding scent that can naturally help you to fall asleep. It helps open breathing passages, allows your body to reach an ideal sleeping temperature, and can eliminate emotional and physical pain that can keep you awake. Essential Oils are a NATURAL way to alleviate symptoms of insomnia and Anxiety without the addictive nature or unpleasant side effects and withdraw symptoms that are often experienced through many prescribed and even over the counter sleep medications. Disclaimer: Please remember that anything discussed here does not constitute medical advice and cannot substitute for appropriate medical care. Where essential oils are mentioned, it’s recommended you use only pure, unadulterated therapeutic grade essential oils and follow the safety directions of the manufacturer.

How to Stop Dry Mouth During the Night Dry mouth, or hyposalivation, is a condition caused by a decreased production of saliva. This can be caused by dehydration, anxiety, vitamin deficiencies and some prescription drugs. Dry mouth can also contribute to various health problems, such as tooth decay and mouth infections. To treat dry mouth at night, it is important to increase the natural production of saliva before bedtime. Step 1 Avoid tobacco, alcohol and spicy, salty or highly acidic foods before bed, as these can irritate the mouth. Step 2 Use mouthwash formulated specifically for dry mouth just before bed. Step 3 Place a glass of water or ice chips beside your bed in case you wake up with dryness during the night. Step 4 Turn on a humidifier before you go to bed. A humidifier can help prevent nighttime dry mouth, especially if you tend to sleep with your mouth open. Source:-http://www.ehow.com

I lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks and was in full panic or near panic for 8 weeks straight mixed with the darkest most painful depression I cold have ever imagined. I immediately could not work and had to move in with my parents who, along with many siblings and friends, had to watch me 24/7 as I was a danger to myself. Eventually I was hospitalized in the Psych Ward for a week. Getting through each day seemed truly unbearable and I knew I would surely die. I have been put on many many different SSRI's SNRI's Tricyclics, Mood stabilizers, anti psychotics, holistic meds, acupuncture and even a form of shock therapy called RTMS. I barely saw any improvement in my condition for a full year. It was decided I had treatment resistant depression and I spent nearly every moment in tears. Weeks after starting my newest round of medications (Seroquel & Nortryptaline) as a last ditch effort, I had my blood drawn for possible hormone imbalances and my Testosterone levels came back 200 ng/Dl and 150 ng/Dl. The average 25 year old male has 750 ng/Dl. With this discovery I for the first time had any type of possible explanation as to why I was not getting better and why I might be so so sick. The symptoms of such Low T are very similar to those of major depression. I started Testosterone replacement therapy soon after and have been checking in with the world and documenting my experience with treatment as well as giving my insight and perspective on various topics of mental health. I am blessed to say that I have slowly, over the last 5 years, been improving and becoming more stable which I never thought to be possible. My low T manifested itself in the form of Major depression, anxiety, and depersonalization/ derealization for over a year. Treating my low testosterone has been 1 HUGE part of the puzzle but I have had to continue to work hard to hold on to my mental stability with many set backs. Gaining some mental stability back is nothing short of a miracle as I was near death for what felt like forever. I do not consider myself to be totally healed yet but I am closer now then ever before and aim to use what I have been through to help or at least offer support to others in need I was able to successfully come off my Seroquel and Pamelor. I work out all the time as a part of my mental health recovery!!! Weight training and all kinds of cardio rule much of my free time and I also share this on my channel.
