WHAT IS TERBISURE? Terbisure is an antifungal medication. Terbisure prevents fungus from growing on the skin. Terbisure (for the skin) is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm infections. Terbisure may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide. HOW SHOULD I USE TERBISURE? Use Terbisure as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions. If you miss a dose of Terbisure, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once. Terbisure is used to treat fungal infections such as Athlete's foot (itching, blisters, cracking, and scaling of the skin between the toes), dhobie itch/jock itch (itching and inflammation of the skin especially in the groin region) and ringworm infections (red, scaly, itchy or raised patches especially on arms, legs and trunk). TERBISURE DOSAGE adults one tablets per day as directed by a doctor TERBISURE INTERACTIONS Caffeine Terbisure decreases the Cl of IV caffeine 19%. Cimetidine Terbisure Cl is decreased 33% by cimetidine. Cyclosporine Terbisure increases the Cl of cyclosporine 15%. CYP2C9 and CYP3A4 inhibitors (eg, amiodarone, ketoconazole) Terbisure plasma concentrations may be elevated, increasing the risk of adverse reactions. Dextromethorphan Plasma dextromethorphan concentrations may be elevated, increasing the pharmacologic effects and adverse reactions. Terbisure inhibits dextromethorphan metabolism via the CYP2D6 enzyme. Paroxetine, tricyclic antidepressants (eg, amitriptyline, desipramine, imipramine), venlafaxine Plasma concentrations of these agents may be elevated, increasing the pharmacologic effects and risk of adverse reactions. Rifampin Terbisure Cl is increased 100% by rifampin. Wayfarin Spontaneous reports of increases and decreases in PT time have been reported. TERBISURE SIDE EFFECTS Applies to Terbisure: topical cream, topical gel/jelly, topical solution, topical spray In addition to its needed effects, some unwanted effects may be caused by Terbisure (the active ingredient contained in Terbisure). In the event that any of these side effects do occur, they may require medical attention. Dryness redness itching burning peeling rash stinging tingling or other signs of skin irritation not present before use of this medicine Hypersensitivity to Terbisure or any of the excipients of Terbisure. Use in lactation: Terbisure is excreted in breast milk and therefore mothers should not use Terbisure whilst breastfeeding. In addition, infants must not come into contact with any treated skin area, including the breasts. TERBISURE PREGNANCY Terbisure has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA. High dose reproduction studies in rats and rabbits have failed to reveal evidence of impaired fertility or fetotoxicity. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Because treatment of onychomycosis or tinea capitis can be postponed until after pregnancy is completed, the manufacturer recommends that Terbisure not be started during pregnancy. Terbisure is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk. TERBISURE OVERDOSE The low systemic absorption of topical Terbisure renders overdosage extremely unlikely. Accidental ingestion of the contents of one 30 g tube of Terbisure, which contains Terbisure hydrochloride 300 mg, is comparable to one Terbisure 250 mg tablet (adult oral unit dose). Should a larger amount of Terbisure be inadvertently ingested, adverse effects similar to those observed with an overdosage of Terbisure tablets are to be expected. These include headache, nausea, epigastric pain and dizziness. The recommended treatment of overdosage consists of eliminating Terbisure, primarily by the administration of activated charcoal and giving symptomatic supportive therapy, if needed. ===================================== हेल्लो दोस्तो HINDI MEDICINE चैनल पर आपका स्वागत है.
