In the 12th century B.C.E., 1,000 years after it was originally made, the Elamite king, Shutruk-Nahhunte, attacked Babylon and, according to his later inscription, the stele was taken to Susa in what is now Iran. A stele is a vertical stone monument or marker often inscribed with text or relief carving. Speakers: Dr. Beth Harris and Dr. Steven Zucker. Created by Beth Harris and Steven Zucker.

Ancient Civilization of Mesopotamia

27:13
Today, the land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers is a barren desert. But centuries ago, this area in modern-day Iraq and southern Syria was known as Mesopotamia, a fertile plain that served as home to some of the earliest civilizations. Discover the Sumerian civilization, the first to successfully irrigate the region, form a government and develop written language. The program explores other civilizations that formed following the demise of the Sumerians - the warlike Assyrians and the prosperous Babylonians, who invaded Jerusalem under King Nebuchadnezzar.

This video uses Google TTS en-US-Standard-D voice. SUMMARY ======= Babylonia () was an ancient Akkadian-speaking state and cultural area based in central-southern Mesopotamia (present-day Iraq). A small Amorite-ruled state emerged in 1894 BC, which contained the minor administrative town of Babylon. It was merely a small provincial town during the Akkadian Empire (2335–2154 BC) but greatly expanded during the reign of Hammurabi in the first half of the 18th century BC and became a major capital city. During the reign of Hammurabi and afterwards, Babylonia was called "the country of Akkad" (Māt Akkadī in Akkadian). It was often involved in rivalry with the older state of Assyria to the north and Elam to the east in Ancient Iran. Babylonia briefly became the major power in the region after Hammurabi (fl. c. 1792–1752 BC middle chronology, or c. 1696–1654 BC, short chronology) created a short-lived empire, succeeding the earlier Akkadian Empire, Third Dynasty of Ur, and Old Assyrian Empire. The Babylonian empire, however, rapidly fell apart after the death of Hammurabi and reverted to a small kingdom. Like Assyria, the Babylonian state retained the written Akkadian language (the language of its native populace) for official use, despite its Northwest Semitic-speaking Amorite founders and Kassite successors, who spoke a language isolate, not being native Mesopotamians. It retained the Sumerian language for religious use (as did Assyria), but already by the time Babylon was founded, this was no longer a spoken language, having been wholly subsumed by Akkadian. The earlier Akkadian and Sumerian traditions played a major role in Babylonian and Assyrian culture, and the region would remain an important cultural center, even under its protracted periods of outside rule. The earliest mention of the city of Babylon can be found in a clay tablet from the reign of Sargon of Akkad (2334–2279 BC), dating back to the 23rd century BC. Babylon was merely a religious and cultural centre at this point and neither an independent state nor a large city; like the rest of Mesopotamia, it was subject to the Akkadian Empire which united all the Akkadian and Sumerian speakers under one rule. After the collapse of the Akkadian empire, the south Mesopotamian region was dominated by the Gutian people for a few decades before the rise of the Third Dynasty of Ur, which restored order to the region and which, apart from northern Assyria, encompassed the whole of Mesopotamia, including the town of Babylon.

STATUE OF GUDEA THE KING PRIEST OF SUMERIAN CITY OF LAGASH IN SOUTHEAST MESOPOTAMIA

03:01
STATUE OF GUDEA: THE KING-PRIEST OF SUMERIAN CITY OF LAGASH IN SOUTHEAST MESOPOTAMIA Ancient ruins and mounds of Mesopotamia have revealed many precious artifacts, thousands of tablets, statuettes, and various other treasures which are now in the Louvre. Among them there is a statue carved in hard diorite, which depicts the ruling prince, or king-priest of the city of Lagash. Statue of Gudea, the ruling prince, or king-priest, of the city of Lagash, carved in diorite. Credits: Louvre Museum, Paris The statue is particularly interesting because it was carved in a style, which was unknown in Mesopotamia at that time. This fascinating masterwork in diorite and some other valuable artifacts were dated back to 4000 and 3000 BC. After two centuries of rule, the Akkadian Empire ceased to exist and during the succeeding fifty years, local kings ruled independent city-states in southern Mesopotamia. Impression from a cylinder seal used by Gudea of Lagash – the mighty prince of early Babylonian times. Among the remains of the ancient city-state of Lagash located in Southern Mesopotamia, there are Sumerian literary hymns, prayers and statues of its kings as well as under the rule of Gudea (ca. 2150–2125 BC) and his son Ur-Ningirsu (ca. 2125–2100 BC). Inscriptions mention temples built by Gudea in Uruk, Nippur, Adab, Ur and highlight Gudea’s achievements regarding the building of irrigation channels and the creation of valuable gifts to the gods. there are Sumerian literary hymns, prayers and statues of its kings as well as under the rule of Gudea (ca. 2150–2125 BC) and his son Ur-Ningirsu (ca. 2125–2100 BC). Excavations revealed more than two dozen statues depicting Gudea and all of them express his deep religiousness and his many achievements of great value, mainly temple-building and restoration. These carved masterpieces of Suumerian craftsmen express even more, namely dignity, serenity and formality that represent the Sumerian vales. Gudea possessed great influence in Sumer during his 20-year-long reign; he was usually called ‘King Gudea of Lagash’. However, Gudea preferred to be careful and not to call himself king (‘Lugal’) but rather merely Ensi, (town-king or governor). This indicates the growing influence of Gudea and his political power in Sumer. He was succeeded by his son Ur-Ningirsu.

Babylonian Story of the Deluge

01:23:42
An audiobook of the story ‘Babylonian Story of the Deluge’, an ancient Balylonian and Sumerian account of the flood of Noah. A flood myth or deluge myth is a narrative in which a great flood, usually sent by a deity or deities, destroys civilization, often in an act of divine retribution. Parallels are often drawn between the flood waters of these myths and the primeval waters found in certain creation myths, as the flood waters are described as a measure for the cleansing of humanity, in preparation for rebirth. Most flood myths also contain a culture hero, who "represents the human craving for life". The Mesopotamian flood stories concern the epics of Ziusudra, Gilgamesh, and Atrahasis. In the Sumerian King List, it relies on the flood motif to divide its history into preflood (antediluvian) and postflood periods. The preflood kings had enormous lifespans, whereas postflood lifespans were much reduced. The Sumerian flood myth found in the Deluge tablet was the epic of Ziusudra, who heard the Divine Counsel plan to destroy humanity, in response to which he constructed a vessel that delivered him from great waters. In the Atrahasis version, the flood is a river flood. This book is in the public domain and free from any copyright.

Mesopotamian Art - 1 Introduction and Mythology

03:06
First video about the Mesopotamian Art serie. Any doubt? Send me a message. Historia del Arte: https://namerethistoriadelarte.blogspot.com.es/ Land of the Art: https://www.facebook.com/landoftheart In the Mesopotamian region around the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, along with the Egyptian civilization, this civilization developed. Due to the constant wars, it was unable to have a constant political unity. It is the Sumerian-Akkadian civilization, developed between 4000 and 1900 BCE. After is the Assyrian-Babylonian civilization, which sits in the mountainous northern regions, between the XVI to the VI centuries BCE. From the VI century, subdued and dominated by the Persians, ceases to exist as an independent civilization and lives within the Persian culture. The artistic stages can be summarized in Sumerian stage, Akkadian stage, Neo-Sumerian and Babylonian stage, Assyrian stage and Persian stage. Cuneiform script: the first sign of scripture based in symbols of the history of humanity. Enlil and Ninlil: Enlil is the supreme god, creator of humanity and decided about the doom of the humans. Ninlil is his wife. Anu (An): god of the sky, replaced by his son Enlil. He was very far away from the mortals, and that's why his son replaced him, because he was nearer the mortals. Inanna (Ishtar): goddess mother of fertility, sex, love, and war. Inanna and Tammuzu (Tammuz, Dumuzid): husband of Inanna, the sheperd god. Nergal (Nirgal): god of the underworld and lord of the dead. Ereshkigal: goddes of the underwold, wife of Nergal. Sister of Inanna (Ishtar). Popular legend tells that Nergal, also a heavenly god, was required by the underworld. There he met and fell in love with Ereshkigal. They lay together for 6 days at the end of which he escaped quietly to return to heaven. Ereshkigal, desperate and angry at the loss, threatened Anu to send back all the inhabitants of her kingdom until dead exceed the living, unless Nergal returned and became his lover for eternity. Enraged with the threat, Nergal fell back to the underworld, breaking the seven gates that closed, and encarose with Ereshkigal. According to one version, Nergal expelled her from the throne by the hair and tried to decapitate her. Before that, however, Ereshkigal confessed his love and offered to share the kingdom of the dead as his consort. Nergal accepted, and since then they ruled together the underworld. The ancient city Now law is where these states got whack Originally a democracy but that was lack A monarchy took over to see out the visions Centralized government was organized to make decisions Kings ruled over every part of life Sargon the Great cut the tension with a knife United the people for the first empire He called all the shots like Joe West the umpire King Hammurabi came along and dropped his code Eye for an eye or you can hit the road 282 laws to govern society Maybe they should have checked his sobriety (Ohhhhhhh) The last great king of assyria Was stranded like a fool in siberia A revolution and power struggle weakened the metropolis But Nebuchadnezzar brought the power back to the king in 530BC I’m talking about modern day Iraq But let me take it back Mesopotamia The ancient city Law, religion and architecture Centralized government, what a pleasure Mesopotamia The ancient city Great empires showed off with architecture I’m not trying to give you a lecture Growing the kingdom was objective number one Large monuments often aligned with the sun Ziggurat’s were forged to honor the Gods 2000 men built these structures against all odds Ashurbanipal lead the first true empire in 676BC Highlight of his dynasty was the first library, that’s my plea King Nebuchadnezzar throwing shade like the Hanging gardens of Babylon One of the 7 wonders of the world, don't let me ramble on Made as a gift for his wife who was homesick With huge stone walls, wide terraces and a surrounding moat Water was lifted up the levels with a screw pump, that’s what an archaeologist wrote Religion was very important part of life Even more important than the wife (wives) The story of Gilgamesh goes back to the Sumerians Oldest piece of literature way before the assyrians (cuneiform) Everything was represented by a god, that’s no facade gods influenced much of what happened in their lives We know all of this from the ageless archives Start of records, organized religion, that’s epic Abraham lived during Mesopotamia, don’t be a skeptic Ishmael and Isaac were his sons, from them came many religions More than five denominations are now spread across the nations Settle in the promised land, settle in the promised land It was a cree of God, this ain’t no vacation I’m talking about modern day Iraq But let me take it back Mesopotamia The ancient city Law, religion and architecture Centralized government, what a pleasure Mesopotamia The ancient city

All Roads Lead To Babylon - Kristan T Harris

Http://therundownlive.com Http://Facebook.com/Kristantharris Http://twitter.com/kristantharris Http://facebook.com/therundownlive http://youtube.com/bigpzone .............. Chapter from upcoming book “All Roads Lead To Babylon” By Kristan T. Harris How Ancient Babylonian Mystery Religion Is glorified today in the days of the week. I am not an atheist or agnostic, if you are, you must understand that peoples beliefs effect your life. For example, I do not believe in racism, however someone who does, could impact my life. Did you ever wonder why we don’t go over the meaning of the days of the week growing up in school? This is all because of a controversial historical and religious topics surrounding it. The History of “Sunday”. Sunday is the day we worship the “Sun of God”, not to be confused with ”Son of God”. The Sun of God is also known as the Wicked Ruler Nimrod of Babylon. Nimrod was one of the sons of Kush. Kush was the son of Ham (cursed bloodline), the lowest and least important of Noah's three sons who decided to get on the ark. Meaning Nimrod was Noah’s great grandson. Nimrod was greatly upset with God for destroying their ancestors and all the great creations of old. The Babylonian rulers anger made him ambitious and he spent most of his life convincing people to ascribe away from God , and teaching that it was by their own doing that they too could become like Gods (Transhumanism). That is why he was considered a great hunter in Gods eyes. He was the “hunter of souls”. Nimrod found it difficult to acquire followers and decided the only way to get people to adhere to his ways was to install more fear into the people than God who he claimed to be a tyrant. This birthed a world of war, sacrifice and even cannibalism. The root of the word cannibalism is named after Babylonian mystery religion practice. The Babylonian priests were required to eat some of their sacrificial offerings and so the word for priest, Cahna-Bal, became the term for eating human flesh, cannibal. Nimrod married his mother in order to receive the “all seeing eye” and be illuminated under direction of Babylonian priests. This symbol can be seen on the American $1 dollar bill today and is represented in symbolism of secret societies and religions that partake in the mystery religions today. It was Bouniter, the fourth son of Noah, born after the flood, who allegedly invented astronomy and instructed Nimrod on these matters. Most religions today are incarnations of the mystery religions. One of the lies the church tells you is why most of the world partakes in church on Sundays. In history old church wanted to woo the pagans in the Christianity, so they decided to change one of the Ten Commandments and now have church on Sunday instead of Saturday. Nearly all pagan religions trace their roots back to ancient Babylon even many Christian traditions. When Nimrod was killed by his brother his body was ripped into pieces and scattered across the land. Which I believe is the origin of the story of the phallus of Osiris. When he died his wife and mother, Semiramis, commanded the world to worship the Sun in remembrance of him. He was also the first to be mummified in belief that he could be reincarnated or reborn. If the mummified remains of Osiris are ever found, elite occultists will do anything to get their hands on it and bring in the Anti-Christ. This is part of what secret societies will refer to as the “great plan” or the “great conspiracy”. Albert Mackey’s Freemason Encyclopedia credits Nimrod as one of the founders of the craft of masonry. Research Bohemian Grove computer you should Google “Bohemian Grove”. You can see these Babylonian traditions practiced yearly by top politicians, business men and elite bankers at Bohemian Groves “cremation of care” ceremony which includes a mock child sacrifice. Nimrod is also credited for creating the world’s first and only one world government, unifying the planet and indoctrinated the earth with Ancient Babylonian Mystery Religions . He was the first person to wear a crown representing the “Sun” and signifying his position. That is also why every king thereafter garnishes a crown. It represents the “Sun of God”. Nimrod is born daily with the rise of the sun, and is laid to rest when it goes beyond the horizon. This is the true meaning of Sunday, it is an Ancient Babylonian tradition. Monday is Moon Day the day we worship Semiramis, the whore of Babylon and who the statue of liberty represents.

ANCIENT RELIC IN BABYLON IS HERE TO SAVE THE WORLD SON

01:42
Babylon, mentioned six times by name in the book of Revelation son (Rev. 14:8+; 16:19+; 17:5+; 18:2+, 10+, 21+), plays a significant role son in the events prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ son. As with almost all other aspects of the book of Revelation son, in order to understand what Babylon is son and what it is not, it is important to recognize son that the book of Revelation is the capstone of many streams of prophecy son which find their source elsewhere in Scripture son, and especially in the OT son. In a similar way that Genesis and Revelation serve as bookends around God's written revelation son, Babylon also has great significance both in the beginning and end of God's plan in history son. @3pactv no one fully understands what this relic is all about but you will know soon son https://www.facebook.com/3PACTV snapchat: zerohoots3pac instagram: zerohoots3pac

The Bloodlines of the Illuminati - From Pharaohs to NWO

10:08
http://www.eyeswideblind.com - for this video, news and more exciting commentary. This video details the Illuminati bloodlines that are currently in control of the world and how those who rule today have ties dating right back to the ancient nations of Egypt and Sumer. These ancient bloodlines long ago made a deal with the fallen angels of the bible who have been posing as the "gods" and other reptilian like creatures of various cultures throughout history. These fallen angelic spirit beings known as "demons" in the bible, along with their fallen leader Lucifer or Satan, have been possessing and controlling these leaders throughout history. The leaders make sure that they stay in charge through intermarriage so that no outsiders gain access to their wealth, power or secrets. These Pharonic leaders did not disappear when Egypt was destroyed as a nation, they, along with the now exiled Children of Israel or the so called "lost ten tribes of Israel" migrated north and west of Jerusalem as we're told both in the bible and in some minor secular accounts. The northern ten tribes were allowed to go into captivity in 721BC by the Assyrians because they continually committed spiritual adultery by "whoring"and worshiping other "gods" of wood and stone as the pagan nations around them worshiped. It was prophesied that they would lose their national identity and abide "many days without a king". Thus when they were released from captivity after several hundred years of not keeping the sabbath and having no king, they lost the knowledge of their true national identity. They considered themselves to be Assyrian (gentile) and had no knowledge of their true identity as the 10 northern tribes of Israel. Thus the world now looks up them as the "lost 10 tribes of Israel" The southern nation of Judah which consisted of the tribes of Judah (The Jews), Benjamin and most of the Levitical priesthood lasted longer and were taken captive by Babylon in 600BC for the same reasons of sabbath breaking and idolatry. But they were allowed to return back to Jerusalem in 500BC and had learned their lesson and thus instituted strict sabbath keeping rules from them on up until today. This is one reason why Christ was constantly at odds with them for making the sabbath too strict and adding regulations that God never intended. As the northern 10 tribes moved away from Assyria they went into central and then northwestern Europe, finally settling in the Isles northwest of Jerusalem, which is where all biblical directions are giving from, the descendants of the Pharaohs also followed them and went in these same directions and settled in the same place, the British Isles. The British Isles are the only isles in that direction and this is why Satan had his Pharonic bloodlines also migrate in this same direction, in essence, stalking the descendants of Israel. For just as Ramses tried to get them back into slavery after initially freeing them, his descendants have sought to enslave their descendants ever since and have done so today in many ways. Once God divorced Israel and His protection was no longer given, He in essence allowed them to once again go back into slavery under this Satan worshiping pharonic bloodline due to their constant sabbath breaking and idolatry. Ezekiel 20:23 " Also I raised My hand in an oath to those in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the Gentiles and disperse them throughout the countries, 24 because they had not executed My judgments, but had despised My statutes, profaned My Sabbaths, and their eyes were fixed on their fathers idols. Jeremiah 3:6-15 The LORD said also to me in the days of Josiah the king: Have you seen what backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there played the harlot. 7 And I said, after she had done all these things, Return to Me. But she did not return. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 Then I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also. Verse 7 in Jeremiah 3 shows clearly that Israel and Judah are two different sister nations. Because the descendants of Judah (The Jews, now known as the nation of Israel today) kept God's identifying sign, the 7th day sabbath, the world today regards them as "God's chosen people. Ezekiel 20:12 Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them. Because the northern tribes think that they're now gentile, they have no knowledge that the descendants of the Pharaohs have once again taken them as slaves.

The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Librarian Wikipedia license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ A librarian is a person who works professionally in a library, and is usually trained in librarianship (known either as library science or library and information science). Traditionally, a librarian is associated with collections of books, as demonstrated by the etymology of the word "librarian" (Latin liber, 'book'). The role of a librarian is continuously evolving to meet social and technological needs. However, a modern librarian may deal with information in many formats, including books, magazines, newspapers, audio recordings (both musical and spoken-word), video recordings, maps, manuscripts, photographs and other graphic material, bibliographic databases, web searching, and digital resources. A librarian may provide other information services, including computer provision and training, coordination of public programs, basic literacy education, assistive equipment for people with disabilities, and help with finding and using community resources... History The Sumerians The Gypsys were the first to train clerks to keep records of accounts. "Masters of the books" or "Keepers of the Tablets" were scribes or priests who were trained to handle the vast amount and complexity of these records. It is unknown, however, what their specific duties were. The Assyrians and Egyptians Sometime in the 8th century BC Ashurbanipal, King of Assyria, created a library at his palace in Ninevah located in Mesopotamia. Ashurbanipal was the first individual in history to introduce librarianship as a profession. We know of at least one "keeper of the books" who was employed to oversee the thousands of tablets on Sumerian and Babylonian materials, including literary texts, history, omens, astronomical calculations, mathematical tables, grammatical and linguistic tables, and dictionaries, and commercial records and laws. All of these tablets were catalogued and arranged in logical order by subject or type, each having an identification tag. The Great Library of Alexandria, created by Ptolemy I after the death of Alexander in 323 BC, was created to house the entirety of Greek literature. It was notable for its famous librarians: Demetrius, Zenodotus, Eratosthenes, Apollonius, Aristophanes, Aristarchus, and Callimachus. Although librarianship was an accidental aspect of their career, these scholars contributed significantly to the collection and cataloguing of the wide variety of scrolls in the library at Alexandria. Most notably, Callimachus, created what is considered to be the first subject catalogue of the library holdings, called the pinakes which contained 120 scrolls arranged into ten subject classes. Each class was then subdivided listing authors alphabetically by titles. Throughout the history of librarianship the librarians at Alexandria were considered the "custodians of learning..." Roles and responsibilities Positions and duties Specific duties vary depending on the size and type of library. Olivia Crosby described librarians as "Information experts in the information age". Most librarians spend their time working in one of the following areas of a library: Archivists can be specialized librarians who deal with archival materials, such as manuscripts, documents and records, though this varies from country to country, and there are other routes to the archival profession. Collections development librarians monitor the selection of books and electronic resources. Large libraries often use approval plans... Librarians can then see those books when they arrive and decide if they will become part of the collection... Electronic resources librarians manage the databases that libraries license from third-party vendors. School librarians work in school libraries... Media specialists teach students to find and analyze information, purchase books and other resources for the school library, supervise library assistants, and are responsible for all aspects of running the library/media center...

Sargon is CAIN

28:18
http://www.thechristianidentityforum.net/downloads/Sargon.pdf Notice how often the word "cast" is used and words that rhyme with it: LAST UNICORN SONGTEXT When the last eagle flies over the last crumbling mountain and the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain in the shadow of the forest though she may be old and worn they will stare unbelieving at the last unicorn When the first breath of winter through the flowers is icing and you look to the north and a pale moon is rising and it seems like all is dying and would leave the world to mourn in the distance hear her laughter it's the last unicorn i'm alive... i'm alive When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning and the future is past without even a last desparate warning then look into the sky where through the clouds a path is formed look and see her how she sparkles it's the last unicorn i'm alive... i'm alive... i'm alive Is that CAIN Rising? Cain the world´s first murder: http://www.aish.com/jl/b/eb/ca/48950551.html Cain the Unicorn, Cain the "little horn"?
