New technology could better monitor blood pressure

02:01
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - New technology that could help better monitor blood pressure is in the works. The National Institutes of Health has just released a photo of a wearable device that might soon help detect the pressure of blood flowing through your arteries. A blood pressure cuff is traditionally placed around the arm to measure your blood pressure at the doctor's office, or you may even have a finger checker at home, but this new patch is different. It was developed by a team at the University of California, San Diego. The lead researchers Dr. Sheng Xu and his team shared a photo of the patch so to speak, which can be worn a couple of different ways. It is a thin, wearable blood pressure sensor that uses ultrasound transducers, according to the NIH. A transducer makes high-frequency sound waves. These bounce off the blood vessel. The transducer then receives echo patterns and sends them to a computer. The computer then converts it into a waveform. If the waveform is calibrated to a patient's blood pressure, changes would then show up. The team engineered this stretchy, flexible device to do all this. It can be worn as a skin patch. An array of ultrasound transducers selects an artery from the best position. They also have a layer of silicone beneath the patch so you don't have to use a gel as you usually do with conventional ultrasound wands. Most of these wearable devices have barely gone beneath the skin. This one, however, can monitor below it. Researchers are hoping to make it wireless to share data.

12 Ways Your Body Tries To Tell You That Your Liver Is Being Damaged

04:55
12 Ways Your Body Tries To Tell You That Your Liver Is Being Damaged The liver is the largest solid organ in your body. It is located in the right upper quadrant of your abdomen and partly protected by the ribs. You need your liver for many important bodily functions and cannot live without your liver. For this reason, you should know the early signs of liver damage and take care of your liver as much as you possibly can. There are more than a hundred different kinds of diseases of the liver. Each has its own set of symptoms. Some of these diseases include alcoholic liver disease, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and cirrhosis of the liver. The early signs of liver disease tend to be easily overlooked and are non-specific, related to any number of different conditions. Here are some common early signs. 1. Upset Stomach You are likely to get nausea and vomiting. They can mimic other diseases, such as migraines, food poisoning, vertigo, motion sickness, early pregnancy, depression and vomiting. It can mimic kidney problems as well. Those who suffer from early liver damage often feel persistently nauseous, because the liver has a decreased ability to rid the body of toxins. The nausea can also be due to ongoing metabolism and changes in digestion. If you have these symptoms for several days and don’t know why, seek the attention of your doctor. 2. Fatigue and Overall Weakness One of the early and obvious signs of liver damage is constantly feeling tired and weak. When the liver is not in great condition, the body must work harder and you will need more rest. This is due to an increase in toxins in the bloodstream that can’t be cleared out because the liver can’t get rid of the toxins properly. If the symptoms persist, especially with other early signs of liver damage, seek medical advice as soon as you can. 3. Lack of Appetite This happens due to a lack of production of bile that helps digest fat in the diet. When food isn’t properly digested, it can lead to a lack of appetite and a severe loss of weight. See your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time. 4. Digestion Problems The liver is important in digestion because it makes bile that helps the nutrients be better processed and absorbed by the small intestines. If the liver is failing, you can develop an increase in indigestion and diarrhea. If the bile is not produced properly, you can also experience irritable bowel syndrome, fatty food intolerance, alcohol intolerance, abdominal bloating, constipation and gallstones. If this becomes severe, you need to seek the medical attention of a doctor. 5. Alterations in the Color of Urine If you think you are drinking enough but still have a dark color of your urine, this may be one of the early signs of liver damage. The urine may look brown, amber, or orange in color because of elevated levels of bilirubin in the bloodstream. The bilirubin is elevated because the liver cannot get rid of the bilirubin and it is excreted through the kidneys. Dark urine may also be due to dehydration, side effects of taking antibiotics, taking B vitamin supplements, urinary tract infections, enzyme deficiencies or kidney abnormalities. The doctor can help sort out the cause of dark urine. 6. Changes in Stool Coloration Because the bile is not made enough by a malfunctioning liver, the color of the stool changes. Instead of being brown, it can become pale yellow, clay colored, or gray in appearance. If this happens periodically, it is not dangerous, but if it happens often, seek the advice of your doctor to check out your liver. https://youtu.be/VOx8ikPmaos

The main cause of xanthelasma is high kevels of LDL cholesterol in the body. Other causes include liver diseases, genetic factors and diabetes. People that are aged 40-60 years old, have cirrhosis, diabetics or have high cholesterol levels are at a higher risk of developing this problem than others. This problem doesn’t cause itchiness or irritation, but it could cause some vision problems if the bump has grown large enough. Because the affected area is usually near the eyes. Surgery is not the best treatment plan, the scar surgeries leave behind could be as annoying as the appearance of the fat sac itself. Laser treatment is another option but it still carried the risk of scarring. Here are some natural ways to get rid of cholesterol deposited around the eyes. 1- Garlic. Garlic when used externally or ingested can help flatten the fat bumps or even get rid of them completely. Garlic is a natural popular remedy to reduce cholesterol levels when taken raw regularly. To apply topically, crush one clove of garlic into a paste and apply it to the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes at least twice a week. 2- Castor Oil. Castor oil is another effective remedy to shrink or minimize the appearance of xanthelasma, it contains recinoleic acid that showed efficiency in flattening the cholesterol bumps. However castor oil is more effective in the case of small bumps that newly appeared. How to Get Rid of Anginas|does angina lead to heart attack

06:18
How to Get Rid of Anginas|does angina lead to heart attack thankyou for your support in first 100 subscribers reached thankyou for your support Disclaimer:This Video only For Educational Purpose in this i will show you how to get rid of anginsa please watch video fully beacuse most important details provided to you iam showing today total 3 method USEFUL TO YOU M:1 Getting Plenty of Rest M2: Seeking Medical Intervention M3: Making Lifestyle Changes Angina is a heart disorder that occurs when the muscles of the heart’s oxygen demand is not met by the circulation. The heart pumps harder to compensate for the inadequacy as a result. The muscles eventually get tired from excessive effort and produce pain. The chest pain produced is called angina. If you don’t know if you are experiencing this condition, scroll down to Method 5 to read about symptoms of angina. method1:Getting Plenty of Rest 1 Understand why it is important to get rest when experiencing angina pain. Rest is necessary to relieve angina. It improves blood flow by relaxing the blood vessels in your body. It also reduces the workload of the heart muscles thereby preventing fatigue. It is important to call for help when angina sets in. While you wait for help, it is important to rest. The following steps discuss how to get the rest you need. 2 Stay in a cool, quiet room. Noisy and hot rooms could leave you more irritated. Emotional disturbance raises the heartbeat and may worsen angina. 3 Lie down with your head elevated. Use two pillows to do this. Elevate your head for at least five minutes. Angina triggers panic that could then lead to high blood pressure. Uncontrolled high blood pressure may result in other medical complications such as stroke. Head elevation keeps the blood pressure at bay 4 Think of non-stressful things. Think of happy thoughts such as your favorite vacation destination. Relaxing the mind can help your body to relax. This can then improve blood flow by opening up your blood vessels 5 Practice deep breathing. Inhale through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth in a calm, controlled manner to relax your blood vessels and keep you calm. method:2 Seeking Medical Intervention 1 Try taking nitrates. Nitrates relax and open up the blood vessels in the body. This helps more oxygen reach the various parts of your body. This helps to relieve heart muscles of the heavy pumping they have to do when you don’t have enough oxygen, which then relieves chest pain.[3] #*Some examples of nitrates include nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate (ISMN), and isssorbide dinitrate (ISDN). These will be discussed in detail in the following steps. 2 Take Nitroglycerin (NTG). Nitroglycerin is the oldest known nitrate. NTG’s reputation of rapid symptom relief has led to its use for more than a century. NTG is taken sublingually. The tablet is placed under the tongue. Sublingual medications go into the blood system faster than typical oral tablets; consequently, it gives faster relief. The medication will melt on its own and directly reach the heart blood vessels faster. The typical dose is 0.3 or 0.6 mg tablets placed under the tongue when angina sets in 3 Consider taking Isosorbide Mononitrate (ISMN) ISMN is given as an oral tablet or skin patch. The recommended dose is 30 to 60 mg once daily for oral tablets as maintenance.[5] The recommended dose is 5 to 25 mg/day for patches 4 Try Isosorbide Dinitrate (ISDN). ISDN is also given as oral tablet or skin patch. The recommended dose is 10 to 60 mg two or three times a day for oral tablets as maintenance. The recommended dose is 5-25 mg/day for patches. 5 Talk to your doctor about beta-blockers. Beta-blockers slow down the heart rate and reduce the intensity of your heart muscle contractions. This prevents the heart muscles from tiring out and indirectly prevents chest pain. Some examples of beta-blockers are metoprolol and propranolol. The recommend dose for metoprolol is 50 to 200 mg twice daily. The recommended dose for propranolol is 80–120 mg twice daily. Signs and Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency You Should Not Ignore

10:17
Descriptions of Signs of Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Why is vitamin B12 important and where can i get vitamin b12? Vitamin B12 is vital for the formation of red blood cells that carry oxygen around the body. It is also needed for the proper functioning and health of nerve tissue, as it is involved in producing the protective myelin sheath that covers the nerves and conducts nerve impulses. It works together with folate in the metabolism of cells, especially affecting DNA synthesis and fatty acid and amino acid metabolism. This particular B vitamin also helps our bodies absorb folic acid, which facilitates the release of energy. Since your body doesn’t make vitamin B12, it is important to get it from food sources (especially animal-based foods, fruits with vitamin b12) or supplements on a regular basis, vitamin b12 serum, b12 energy or vitamin b12 supplement. Always consult your doctor before starting any supplement regimen. Here are the top 5 signs of vitamin B12 deficiency. review : 01:02 Fatigue and Low Energy 02:05 Numbness and Tingling Sensations 03:08 Low Blood Pressure 04:06 Skin Lesions 05:11 Depression 1. Fatigue and Low Energy This vitamin plays a prominent role in energy metabolism, hence its deficiency has a direct impact on your energy and endurance levels. Vitamin B12 enhances your body’s ability to make DNA for new cells to provide energy. It is also needed to form healthy red blood cells that carry oxygen to the whole body. Without proper oxygen levels, you feel tired and lethargic. Plus, B12 is needed to turn the food you eat into energy to power your metabolism. Low metabolism prevents you from feeling your best and performing at your highest energy level. 2. Numbness and Tingling Sensations Vitamin B12 plays a key role in keeping your nervous system healthy. Thus, neurological signs like numbness or a tingling sensation in the hands and feet can indicate its deficiency. Vitamin B12 helps in the manufacturing of nerves and, moreover, it has a key role in helping oxygen reach different parts of the body. Poor oxygen supply is one of the main causes of numbness and tingling sensations. Its deficiency can also cause balance problems. 3. Low Blood Pressure Deficiencies of vitamin B12 and folic acid can cause anemia, which can lead to low blood pressure, also known as hypotension. Vitamin B12 helps your body produce red blood cells so that adequate oxygen reaches each and every part of your body, including the heart. A 2012 study published in the Texas Heart Institute Journal reports that vitamin B12 deficiency is well known among neurologists but is often overlooked by cardiologists when treating low blood pressure. If you suffer from low blood pressure, opt for a B12 test. Even moderate forms of low blood pressure can cause shortness of breath, dizziness, weakness, fainting and risk of injury from falls. 4. Skin Lesions Low vitamin B12 can also cause skin lesions and hair changes. A 2008 study published in Canadian Family Physicians reports that vitamin B12 deficiency is linked to skin lesions. Unexplained and non-resolving skin lesions can signal vitamin B12 deficiency, hence you need to visit your doctor as soon as possible. Along with skin lesions, its deficiency can cause hyperpigmentation of the skin, which leads to uneven skin color and dark patches on the skin. 5. Depression This particular B vitamin is also essential for mental health. Its role in forming red blood cells in turn helps support a healthy nervous system. Plus, it helps lower the level of homocysteine, a by product of protein metabolism. A high level of homocysteine in the body can lead to depression. This is why it is important to consider the possibility of B12 deficiency, especially among the elderly suffering from depression, according to a 2009 study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry emphasis upon. In fact, a 2013 study published in the Open Neurology Journal shed light on the importance of vitamin B12 supplementation in the treatment of major depressive disorder. The study found that people with depression experienced significant improvement in symptoms when treated with vitamin B12 supplementation as well as antidepressants. 10 Warning Signs Your Heart Isn't Working Properly

09:25
How to Prevent Heart Disease. About 610,000 people die from heart disease each year in the U.S. alone. There are tons of factors that can cause a person to develop heart problems, but most of them come down to poor lifestyle choices. Your body gives you warning signs early on so that you can catch an illness in its early stages or even prevent it altogether and save your life. Here are 10 of the most common red flags that indicate bad heart health. #heartproblems #healthyheart #bodysigns A cough that won't quit 1:38 A persistent cough can be a symptom of all kinds of health issues, and cardiovascular disease is one of them. For instance, a chronic cough that produces a pinkish bloody liquid is very common in people with heart failure. Despite what it sounds like, heart failure doesn't mean that the heart completely stops beating. It just means that a person’s heart isn’t pumping blood as well as it should be. As a result, the body doesn't get enough oxygen since it’s carried to all the tissues by the blood. Nausea and loss of appetite 3:07 A lot of heart disease patients show a lack of appetite, nausea, or both, even if they've had just a couple bites of food. The reason for that is built-up fluid around the liver and intestines that interferes with proper digestion. These symptoms are usually accompanied by abdominal pain, upset stomach, or feeling bloated. In fact, abdominal cramps that come and go in short spurts are extremely common right before a heart attack. Your skin becomes paler or takes on a bluish tint 5:28 Being naturally pale doesn’t necessarily mean you have a heart condition. But sudden paleness can be a result of reduced blood flow due to a heart that’s not pumping blood as effectively as it should be. Shock, which can be caused by any condition that prevents the blood in your body from circulating properly, is the main reason why people who are suffering from a heart attack or heart failure turn pale all of a sudden. Chronic or sudden fatigue 7:02 Fatigue can be one of the main symptoms indicating an impending heart attack. Women are more likely to experience heart-related fatigue than men, with 70% of female heart attack patients reporting that they’d felt extremely tired before their episode. Physical or mental activity isn't the reason for such exhaustion, and it increases by the end of the day if it’s due to a failing heart. It’s really hard for this symptom to go unnoticed. Sometimes it's exhausting just to perform even the simplest tasks, like making the bed or taking a shower. Swollen legs, ankles, and feet 2:25 7. Nausea and loss of appetite 3:07 6. Extreme levels of anxiety 3:47 5. Lightheadedness or fainting 4:26 4. Your skin becomes paler or takes on a bluish tint 5:28 3. Skin rashes or unusual spots 6:20 2. Chronic or sudden fatigue 7:02 1. Increased perspiration 7:45 SUMMARY -If their heart isn’t working properly, a lot of men feel pain in their left arm, while women experience the same pain in either or both arms. -A persistent cough can be a symptom of all kinds of health issues, and cardiovascular disease is one of them. -When your heart isn’t pumping enough blood through the body, fluid from your blood vessels leaks into surrounding tissues. Your lower extremities are the most affected simply due to gravity. -A lot of heart disease patients show a lack of appetite, nausea, or both, even if they've had just a couple bites of food. -People who suffer from extreme anxiety from a very early age or most of their life are more prone to developing coronary heart disease. -Feeling lightheaded and experiencing temporary loss of consciousness, also known in the scientific community as “syncope”, is super common among heart patients. -Sudden paleness can be a result of reduced blood flow due to a heart that’s not pumping blood as effectively as it should be. -People with eczema were found to have a 48% chance of suffering from high blood pressure and a 29% possibility of having high cholesterol. -Sometimes it's exhausting just to perform even the simplest tasks, like making the bed or taking a shower before a heart attack. -People experience flu-like symptoms, have clammy skin, and sweat regardless of the air temperature or physical exertion. Wearable Patch Uses Sweat To Monitor Blood Glucose Levels - BTF

02:41
Behold The Future...This Wearable Patch Uses Sweat To Monitor Blood Glucose Levels and can automatically deliver medication with microneedles. People with diabetes prick their fingers multiple times a day to check their blood glucose levels, and dose themselves daily with injections of insulin. This monitoring is crucial, as rises in sugar levels in the blood can, over time, increase a diabetic patient’s risks of developing long-term complications from the disease. But this pricking and injecting can also be painful and tedious, making it harder for people to follow their doctor's orders. Over the past few years, researchers have been working on more convenient and less intrusive ways for people to monitor their diabetes. Now, a group of international researchers led by Dae-Hyeong Kim from the Institute for Basic Science in Seoul, South Korea have created a dual patch that can both monitor blood glucose levels and deliver medication that reduces high sugar levels when they occur. Their work was published today in Nature Nanotechnology. How Does It Work? The technology uses graphene, an extremely strong and flexible material made of carbon atoms and often used in wearable devices. In the past, scientists have used graphene to create similar patches, but certain properties of graphene have made it difficult to detect changes in sugar levels. To improve its abilities, the researchers in this study added gold particles and a surrounding gold mesh to the graphene. When a diabetic person puts the patch on, the device captures sweat from the person’s skin. Sensors within the patch pick up on the sweat's pH and temperature changes that signal a high glucose level. Once a high level is detected, heaters in the patch start to dissolve a layer of coating, exposing microneedles that then release a drug called metformin that can regulate and reduce high blood sugar levels. (If you're curious, a microneedle injection would feel like either nothing at all or just a slight tingle.) Blood sugar readings are also wirelessly transmitted to a mobile device for the person to read and monitor. The researchers hope this combination of monitoring and drug delivery will help diabetics be able to better regulate the fluctuations of blood glucose throughout the day. Next Steps The researchers tested the patch on diabetic mice as well as two adult men with diabetes. In the future, before they can test the patch on more people, the researchers will have to scale up the drug delivery part of the device to inject human-sized doses. In a news and views article that accompanied the paper, Richard Guy, a professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Bath said that this patch has moved the field closer to the “coveted prize” of a non-invasive feedback system that combines monitoring and responsive drug delivery. However, he also acknowledged that more research needs to be done to answer key questions, including whether the device can stand up to increased sweat induced by vigorous exercise, whether the device can do this type of monitoring for a full 24 hours, and, most importantly, whether the drug delivery component can be scaled up and be able to deliver metformin “without an unfeasibly large number of microneedles and/or an unacceptably large patch.” If the researchers can answer these key questions, this could mean a significant improvement in the health of diabetic patients. http://www.popsci.com/this-wearable-patch-uses-sweet-to-monitor-blood-glucose-levels?src=SOC&dom=fb --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Korean researchers develop nanopatch to monitor diabetes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMvNeaUMRlw

What causes discoloration of skin? possible conditions for blue marks on skins,

01:50
Many conditions can cause your skin to become bluish in tint. For example, bruises and varicose veins can appear blue in color. Poor circulation or inadequate oxygen levels in your blood stream can also cause your skin to turn bluish. This skin discoloration is also known as cyanosis. Cyanosis can affect your: fingers, toes, and nails earlobes mucous membranes lips skin This bluish coloring is more common in newborns as their skin learns to adjust to the environment. It’s also more noticeable on light colored skin. But cyanosis can also suggest that there’s something wrong with the lungs, heart, or circulatory system. Most of the time, cyanosis is an indicator of a serious health condition. Read on to learn about the types of cyanosis, what causes this condition, and when you should see a doctor. What are the types of cyanosis? There are four types of cyanosis: Peripheral cyanosis: When your limbs are not getting enough oxygen or blood flow due to low flow or injury Central cyanosis: When there is low overall oxygen available to the body, often due to abnormal blood proteins or a low oxygen state Mixed cyanosis: This happens when a combination of peripheral and central cyanosis occurs at the same time. Acrocyanosis: Extreme cyanosis can happen around your hands and feet when you’re in the cold. This is often normal in babies, especially when it doesn’t show up anywhere else on the body. Acrocyanosis should resolve after you warm back up. What are common causes of cyanosis? Cyanosis occurs when there’s too little oxygen in the blood. Oxygen-rich blood is deep red and is the cause of your skin’s normal color. Under oxygenated blood is more blue and causes your skin to be bluish purple. Cyanosis can develop quickly as a result of an acute health problem or external factor. Life threatening causes of cyanosis include: suffocation obstruction of the airway problems with lung expansion or chest wall injuries heart abnormalities (present during birth) that cause blood to bypass the lungs and never collect oxygen heart attack or failure pulmonary hypertension, or high blood pressure in the lungs pulmonary embolism, or blood clot in the lungs shock methemoglobinemia, most often caused by drugs or toxins where blood proteins become abnormal and cannot carry oxygen Cyanosis can also be the result of a worsening health condition or develop gradually as a result of a chronic or long-term health condition. Many health disorders that involve the heart, lungs, blood or circulation will also cause cyanosis. These include: chronic respiratory disease, such as asthma or COPD sudden infection in your airways, such as pneumonia severe anemia, or low red blood cell count overdoses of certain medications exposure to certain poisons, such as cyanide Raynaud’s syndrome, a condition that can restrict blood flow to your fingers or toes hypothermia, or exposure to extreme cold causing your body temperature to drop Most causes of cyanosis are serious and a sign that your body isn’t getting enough oxygen. Over time, this condition will become life threatening. It can lead to respiratory failure, heart failure, and even death, if left untreated. When should you seek medical attention? Contact your doctor if you develop a bluish tint to your skin, lips, fingertips, or fingernails that can’t be explained by bruising and doesn’t go away overtime. Seek emergency medical attention if you develop cyanosis along with any of the following symptoms: difficulty breathing shortness of breath rapid breathing chest pain coughing up dark mucus fever confusion How are the causes of cyanosis diagnosed? Your doctor can diagnose cyanosis just by looking at your skin. To diagnose the cause of cyanosis, your doctor will perform a complete physical exam. They’ll ask you about your medical history including when your symptoms developed. They may also order one or more tests, such as: complete blood count (CBC) pulse oximetry to measure the level of oxygen in your blood electrocardiogram (ECG) to measure the electrical activity of your heart echocardiogram or ultrasound of the heart X-ray or CT scan of your chest In blood tests, extremely low concentrations of hemoglobin can cause cyanosis. Central cyanosis occurs when your hemoglobin count reaches below 5 g/dL. Normal hemoglobin for an adult is between 12-17 g/dL. How are the causes of cyanosis treated? Your doctor’s recommended treatment plan will depend on the underlying cause of your cyanosis. Ask them for more information about your specific diagnosis and treatment options.

Signs and Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency | Stay Healthy

05:11
Signs and Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency | Stay Healthy Vitamin B12 is vital for the formation of red blood cells that carry oxygen around the body. 1. Diabetes Signs: 10 Early Signs of Type 2 Diabetes

02:52
1. Frequent Urination Also known as polyuria, frequent and/or excessive urination is a sign that your blood sugar is high enough to start to spill into the urine. Because your kidneys can't keep up with the high glucose levels, they allow some of that sugar to go into your urine, where it draws additional water, making you have to urinate often. 2. Extreme Thirst Extreme thirst is one of the first noticeable symptoms of diabetes for some. It's tied to high blood sugar levels, which cause thirst, and is exacerbated by frequent urination. Often, drinking won't satisfy the thirst. 3. Increased Hunger Intense hunger, or polyphagia, is also an early warning sign of diabetes. Your body uses the sugar in your blood to feed your cells. When the cells can't absorb the sugar (because of a lack of insulin), your body looks for more sources of fuel, causing persistent hunger. 4. Nerve Pain or Numbness You might experience tingling or numbness in your hands, fingers, feet, and toes. This is a sign of diabetic neuropathy, or nerve damage. You are most likely to experience this after several years of living with diabetes. 5. Slow Healing Wounds There are several reasons why a wound will heal more slowly if you have diabetes. Poor circulation, the effects of high blood sugar on blood vessels, and immunodeficiency are just a few. If you experience frequent infections or wounds that are slow to heal, it could be an early symptom. 6. Blurred Vision Blurred vision occurs early in unmanaged diabetes. It can be a sign of high blood sugar levels, which cause fluid to shift into the lens of the eye. This usually resolves when blood sugar levels normalize. 7. Dark Skin Patches Dark discoloration in the folds of your skin is called acanthosis nigricans, and is another early warning sign of type 2 diabetes. They are most common in the armpits, neck, and groin regions. 8. Fatigue Excessive tiredness can develop when body constantly compensates for the lack of glucose in the cells. Fatigue also occurs as your sleep gets interrupted by the urgency to urinate. People start experiencing lower levels of energy and are chronically not feeling well. 9. Sexual Dysfunction Diabetes also damages blood vessels and nerves in the sex organs, which can lead to different sexual problems. Women can experience vaginal dryness and men can have difficulty with erection. 35 to 75 percent of men with diabetes suffer from impotence. 10. Headaches A headache can develop due to elevated blood sugar levels and is considered an early sign of hyperglycemia (high blood glucose). The symptom gets worse as condition worsens.

If you don’t experience any irritation, redness or rashes within 1-2 hours, you can use it on your face and body. Let’s see why we this oil is good for your face and body. What Are Its Health Benefits. From regulating your mood swings to controlling your blood sugar levels, the benefits of evening primrose oil are plenty. 1. Helps Treat PMS And Menopausal Symptoms. Women have been taking primrose oil to treat their hormonal imbalance since years, and all for a good reason. Studies have shown that the omega-6 fatty acids in the oil help treat menopausal and premenstrual symptoms (PMS). When a woman undergoes menopause or PMS, she experiences symptoms such as bloating, breast tenderness, acne, or irritability. Making sure to get enough of omega-6 fatty acids, like linoleic acid (LA) and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), can help balance the overall hormone levels in the body. Another common symptom experienced by most women is hot flashes. A six-week clinical trial study was performed on 56 menopausal women to test the efficacy of evening primrose oil to treat hot flashes. It was found that primrose oil was highly effective in treating and decreasing the frequency of hot flashes. 2. Induces Labor. There are several natural ways to induce labor if you are past your due date. One of the best ways is to use evening primrose oil. Its supplements can be either taken orally or inserted vaginally after the 37th week of pregnancy. Studies suggest that it can help shorten the duration of labor. 3. Improves Fertility. Evening primrose oil can be used to increase fertility in women naturally. But how. Evening primrose oil increases the quality of cervical mucus, making it a very fertile ground for the sperm. This facilitates the free movement of the sperm through the cervix. When a woman does not produce enough cervical mucus or fluid, the motility of the sperm is restricted, and this decreases the chances of conception. 4. Controls Diabetes. Evening primrose oil helps people with diabetes by preventing its common symptoms and complications. The GLA in the oil helps relieve nerve pain and prevent nerve damage by reducing the numbness and tingling that is experienced by diabetic patients. A study was done on diabetic rats to test the effects of evening primrose oil on nerve conduction. It concluded that the oil rapidly reversed the nerve conduction deficits. It also acts as a vasodilator, thus helping to reduce blood pressure. 5. Helps Manage Osteoporosis. Consuming evening primrose oil regularly helps to reduce the risk of fractures in patients suffering from osteoporosis. This oil improves the bone mineral density and makes your bones stronger and healthier. A few studies have proved that the presence of GLA in the oil makes it highly effective in the management of osteoporosis,. 6. Aids Weight Loss. While some studies found that evening primrose oil was quite useful for managing obesity, a few other studies showed no significant benefits of using this for weight loss.

BLURRY VISION; Why is yours Vision Blurry

11:45
BLURRY VISION; Why is yours Vision Blurry. Thousands of people suffer daily from blurred or diffuse vision, a disorder that has many causes and one you should not ignore. Above all if this problem is accompanied by headaches, dizziness, tiredness and nausea, it is very important that you find out why and how to prevent it. Do you often find yourself blinking, squinting, or rubbing your eyes to gain a clearer view? If you have blurry vision, you might chalk it up to age or needing new glasses. But it can be a sign of other health problems, too. Often, treatment for these conditions will clear up your blurred vision. Remember, though, that sudden changes to your eyesight aren’t normal, so if they happen, see your doctor right away. Could It Be Diabetes? The condition raises your risk for an eye disease called diabetic retinopathy. Over time, high blood sugar can damage the tiny blood vessels in your retina, the part of your eye that senses light. That can lead to swelling in a part of the retina called the macula. Along with blurry vision, diabetic eye disease may also cause: “Floating” spots in your field of vision Blindness Early treatment is the best way to ward off permanent damage. So protect your eyes from diabetes by getting them checked at least once a year. Could It Be a Stroke? One of the key signs that you’re having a stroke is a sudden, painless change in eyesight. You might have blurry vision, see double, or suddenly lose your sight. Call 911 right away if you have any of these changes and other stroke warning signs, such as: Dizziness Face drooping Loss of balance Slurred speech or other problems speaking clearly Weakness or numbness in one arm Could It Be Preeclampsia? If you’re pregnant, you shouldn’t take blurry vision lightly. It could be a sign of preeclampsia, a dangerous condition marked by very high blood pressure and protein in your urine. Preeclampsia occurs in women who have never had high blood pressure before and generally occurs late in pregnancy, generally after 20 weeks. It can have serious, life-threatening effects on you and your baby. Preeclampsia may not cause any symptoms, but blurry vision and other sight changes such as seeing flashing lights or spots could be clues that you have it. Be sure to contact your doctor if you notice these as well as other possible signs: Anxiety, shortness of breath, a racing heart, or confusion Nausea or vomiting that suddenly starts after the first trimester Pain in your belly, shoulder, or low back Sudden weight gain Swelling, especially in your face, around your eyes, or in your hands Throbbing headaches that don’t go away CONTINUED Could It Be a Migraine? A migraine is more than a horrible headache. There are a host of other symptoms that you might have with the pain, including blurry vision and sensitivity to light. You may feel these signs even before a migraine starts, and they may last until it’s over. More dramatic changes to your eyesight during a migraine are called an aura. They can include: Loss of part or all of your vision for a little while Seeing flashes of light Seeing wavy lines or spots To solve these problems, you’ll need to work with your doctor to treat your migraines and keep them from starting. Could It Be Psoriasis? You may know this condition from these symptoms: Itchy or sore patches of skin Joint pain and inflammation Thick, red, scaly patches on the skin But psoriasis can affect your eyes, too. It can cause a condition called uveitis, when inflammation leads to swelling that causes blurred vision, pain, redness, and sensitivity to light. Treatments can get rid of uveitis, but the type you need will depend on which part of your eye is affected. Could It Be Multiple Sclerosis? Blurry vision is often one of the earliest symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS). The disease causes inflammation along the nerve that connects your eyes to your brain, called the optic nerve. That causes a condition called optic neuritis, which can give you blurry sight, loss of color vision, and pain when you move your eyes. It often happens in just one eye. Besides blurry vision, MS also causes: Trouble with balance Bladder and bowel problems Dizziness Feeling very tired Numbness Stiffness Weakness Optic neuritis doesn’t necessarily mean you have MS, so talk to your doctor about what’s causing it. The problem often goes away on its own, but your doctor can give you some medications to help you heal faster. CONTINUED Could It Be a Brain Tumor? Scary, but true: A tumor in any part of your brain can make pressure build inside your skull. That can cause many symptoms, including blurred vision. Other signs of a possible brain tumor are: Drowsiness Headache that won’t go away Nausea Personality changes Seizures Vomiting If your doctor thinks you might have a brain tumor, she’ll use different tests to check how well your brain and spinal cord work, as well as imaging tests to see inside your head.

how does vitiligo start, loss of skin pigment, skin white patches on body, vitiligo causes

01:02
http://vitiligo-home-remedies.plus101.com how does vitiligo start, loss of skin pigment, skin white patches on body, vitiligo causes. Vitiligo has been directly linked to a toxic buildup in the body. This is often caused by overworking the liver and kidneys with the wrong diet. When the liver is unable to purge toxins from the body fast enough, the skin begins to release them, and this can cause serious skin damage, including the death of pigment cells. By changing the way you eat, you can begin to stop this dangerous leakage and reverse the effects of Vitiligo. Some of the things that should be avoided while healing Vitiligo holistically include: . Gluten: whether they know it or not most people suffer with some sort of gluten sensitivity or intolerance, and this can cause a reaction in the skin. . Acidic foods: eating too many acidic foods can throw off the Ph balance in the body, and that can leave the skin vulnerable to attack. . Processed foods: jam packed with preservatives, chemicals and other toxins, processed foods are horrible for your body and your skin. Avoid them while healing. . Sugar laden foods: soft drinks, snacks, etc. can all alter your glucose levels which can negatively affect the health of your skin. What Should You Eat? The foods you eat can either hurt your skin or help it heal. Adopting a Vitiligo- busting diet will include adding plenty of these to your daily eating plan: . Proteins: considered the building blocks of cells, protein such as lean meats, eggs, and nuts can all help your skin heal. . Fats and oils: the body needs a certain amount of fats and oils daily in order to function properly. Be sure to use extra virgin olive oil for cooking to help boost your immune system and increase circulation in the skin. . Omega 3 Fatty acids: known to boost immunity and limit damaging inflammation throughout the body, eating plenty of deep sea fish can help your skin return to its natural coloring and glow. . Fruits and vegetables: an essential part of nay diet, fresh fruits and veggies give your skin the right mix of nutrients. . Water: nothing beats clear fresh water when it comes to keeping the skin healthy. Be sure to drink at least 64 ounces every day. Sleep to the Rescue Most people underestimate the value of a good night's sleep. Without proper rest, the body (and skin) is unable to rejuvenate and fix itself. One way to boost your skin's health is to get at least eight hours of quality sleep each night. Exercise a Must to Vitiligo Healing If there is any magic "pill" for good health it may be good old fashioned exercise. Research has shown that just 30 minutes of mild aerobic exercise each day helps to improve circulation, healing and boost the immune system. Stress Reduction When you are under stress, your body reacts in many ways: your adrenal glands pump harder; your heart races and your blood pressure rises. Your entire body awakens to a high alert. If left unchecked, this can affect any organ and system in the body. Use common stress reduction techniques like yoga, medication, exercise and even relaxation to help reduce the negative effects of stress on your body - and your skin. Vitamins to the Rescue When your skin is starved for the right nutrients, it will react in a negative way. To help heal Vitiligo holistically, be sure to add these important vitamins and minerals to your daily health regiment: . omega 3 fatty acids . vitamin C . vitamin E . zinc . beta carotene . Phytochemicals (boron, chromium, calcium, cesium, cobalt, copper, selenium) . thiamine . riboflavin . vitamin K Treating Vitiligo holistically requires than a few simple fixes. It requires a multi- pronged approach to healing that deals with all facets of the body and finding ways to heal the skin in a more natural and long lasting manner. Home remedies for Leucoderma(Vitiligo) cure. TRY these remedies today to get rid of white spots on skin. Leucoderma is a latin word which means “white spots on skin”. It is identified by the presence of white patches on the skin. It is caused due to absence of melanin. Melanin is a pigment which gives the skin its colour. It is similar to vitiligo but differs in terms of the root cause. Since there is no pain that is associated with leucoderma and no symptoms can be found it is termed as a disorder. In a more generalized use leucoderma and vitiligo are used interchangeably. Leucoderma usually starts as a small spot which spreads into a larger white patch. It is pale in colour but changes to white colour gradually. Slowly more and more melanin is lost in the affected regions. Leucoderma is a problem which is more of a social stigma than a medical problem. Leucoderma is non-infectious and also not contagious (transmittable). 10 Surprising Benefits Of Radish For Health & Skin

04:46
10 Surprising Benefits Of Radish For Health & Skin https://youtu.be/Awaxi6COt_8 Radishes are a root crop and are juicy, pungent or sweet in taste. They can be white, red, purple or black, and in terms of shape, they can be long and cylindrical or round. They are eaten raw, cooked or pickled. The oil obtained from the seeds of radish is used in a number of products and beneficial health applications. The benefits of radishes in the treatment or prevention of certain ailments and on certain body parts are listed below: 1. Treats Jaundice: Radishes are very good for the liver and stomach, and they act as a powerful detoxifier too. They purify the blood and eliminate toxins and waste. They are extremely useful in treating jaundice because they remove bilirubin and also keep its production at a stable level. Radishes also reduce the destruction of red blood cells that happens in people suffering from jaundice by increasing the supply of fresh oxygen to the blood. 2. Prevents Piles: Radishes are considered roughage, which means that they are composed of indigestible carbohydrates. This facilitates digestion, water retention, and fixes constipation, which is one of the major causes of piles. As such, a good detoxifier, they help heal the symptoms of piles very quickly. 3. Treats Urinary Disorders: Radishes are diuretic in nature, which means that they increase the production of urine. Juice from radishes also cures inflammation and the burning feeling during urination. It cleans out the kidneys and inhibits infections in the kidneys and urinary system, thus helping the treatment of various urinary conditions that are exacerbated by excess toxins in the system. 4. Weight Loss: Radishes are very filling, which mean that they satisfy your hunger without running up your calorie count. They are also low in digestible carbohydrates, high in roughage, and contain a lot of water, thus becoming a very good dietary option for those who are determined to lose weight. 5. Improves Cardiovascular System: Radishes are a great source of anthocyanins, a type of flavonoids, which not only give color to radishes but also provide numerous health benefits. Anthocyanins have been the subject of numerous medical studies, and have been positively linked to reducing the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases. 6. Treats Cancer: Since radishes are detoxifiers and are rich in vitamin C, folic acid, and anthocyanins, they have been connected to treating many types of cancer, particularly colon, kidney, intestinal, stomach, and oral cancer. Radishes are part of the Brassica family, and like the other members of that taxonomic classification, these cruciferous vegetables are packed with antioxidants. 7. Treats Leucoderma: The detoxifying and anti-carcinogenic properties of radishes make them useful in the treatment of Leucoderma. The radish seeds are used in this treatment method. They should be powdered and soaked in vinegar, ginger juice, or cows urine and then applied on the white patches, 8. Lowers Blood Pressure: Radishes are a very good source of potassium, which contributes to a large list of health benefits. Potassium has been positively connected to reducing blood pressure because when it interacts with the arterial supply of vascular beds, it can relax the blood vessels, and therefore increase blood flow. 9. Skin Care: Vitamin C, phosphorus, zinc, and some members of the vitamin-B complex, present in radishes, are good for the skin. The water in radishes also helps to maintain healthy moisture levels in the skin. Smashed raw radish is a good cleanser and serves as an efficient face pack. Due to its disinfectant properties, radishes also help clear up skin disorders like dry skin, rashes, and cracks. 10. Treats Fever: Radishes lower body temperature and relieve inflammation from fevers. A good method of intake is drinking radish juice mixed with black salt, and since they act as good disinfectants, radishes also fight infections that can cause fever. THANKS FOR WATCHING MY VIDEO. Cholesterol Deposits On Eyelids & Around Eyes- Xanthelasma

04:49
If you're looking for a simple, yet clinically proven way of quickly, safely and naturally lower your cholesterol, click the link below: ►►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerYourCholesterolNow =============================================== I’ve got these yellowish patches around my eyelids (see attached). My doctor said it’s something called Xanthelasma. I looked online and it’s basically “cholesterol deposits”, correct?... What’s the cause and how can I fix it because they look really ugly!!! =============================================== The correct medical term is called “Xanthelasma” and it’s basically cholesterol under your skin. And I’m familiar with this topic because my aunt’s husband used to get them and in a minute I’ll share with you how he permanently fixed it. The good news is that Xanthelasma aren’t physically harmful, but yeah… they don’t look “good” either. However, it’s typically a sign that you’re at a higher risk for heart disease, a heart attack or stroke. Why & Who And this is because people who get these “cholesterol deposits”, typically have high levels of cholesterol and an imbalance your lipid levels. These bad cholesterols cause blockage in some oil glands underneath the skin and results in hard little “pimples” (Xanthelasma), which cannot be squeezed. Additionally, elevated liver enzymes or liver disease, cause an increase in cholesterol leading to Xanthelasma. How To Fix & Treat It Unfortunately, these cholesterol deposits usually won’t go away on their own and typically will GROW over time. One way to fix it is to go to your doctor and have them removed with topical medicine, laser or surgery. Unfortunately, they can cause side-effects such as scars and skin color changes. However, this doesn’t prevent FUTURE growth or regrowth, especially due to your genetics and having high cholesterol levels. I mention this because as stated earlier, my aunt’s husband used to have Xanthelasma and even though we improved his diet, it didn’t fix this problem initially. And taking cholesterol lowering drugs actually made things even worse due to the liver stress and toxicity. What Did Work So, here’s how we finally got rid of the Xanthelasma. Before doing anything medical, I wanted to FIRST see if we can decrease the size of these cholesterol deposits. This way, there will be less potential for scarring. I made sure his diet was healthier. I removed all alcohol because of the liver stress and reduced any processed foods and sugars. He was already walking 2-3x weekly, but I had him increase it to daily walks I increased his water intake, which basically meant going from only 1-2 glasses to 4-6 cups daily. I had him take high dosages of specific herbs and vitamins to lower his cholesterol and bad lipids. While also cleansing and detoxing his liver. After 6 months, the size of these deposits were about ½ the size, which was great. But, they never got smaller. He then went to his dermatologist and used laser to remove what was left. Since they were smaller, there was no scarring. And because of his cleaner diet and continued use of supplements, his cholesterol is lower and has remained in a healthy range. Another important benefit is that his liver is healthier as well. And the best part is that these cholesterol deposits have NEVER come back and it’s been over 6 years. Major Causes of High Blood Pressure

08:06
The heart is a muscle that pumps blood round the body. The blood is then pumped from the heart across the body to supply our muscles and cells. The pumping of blood creates pressure. If an individual has high blood pressure, it means that the walls of the arteries are receiving too much strain on a constant basis. The causes of elevated blood pressure are divided into two categories The risk of developing hypertension increases as individual’s age. Though there's no identifiable cause for essential elevated blood pressure, there is strong evidence linking some risk factors to the chances of developing the problem. Most of the causes under are some risk factors for essential hypertension. There are also cases of secondary hypertension: 1) Age The older you are the greater your risk of having high blood pressure. 2) Family history In case you have close family members with hypertension, then your odds of developing it are significantly higher. A global scientific study found eight common genetic differences that might raise the risk of high blood pressure. 3) Temperature A study that tracked 8,801 participants over age 65 found that systolic and diastolic blood pressure values differed significantly through the year and according to the supply of outside temperature. Blood pressure was lower as it got warmer, and increased when it got colder. 4) Ethnic background Evidence suggests that individuals with African or South Asian ancestry have a higher chance of developing hypertension, compared to people with predominantly Caucasian or Amerindian (indigenous of the Americas) ancestries. 5) Obesity and overweight Both obese and obese people are more likely to develop high blood pressure, compared to individuals of normal weight. 6) Some Facets of gender In general, high blood pressure is more common among adult men than adult women. However, after the age of 60 decades, both women and men are equally susceptible. 7) Physical inactivity Lack of exercise, as well as having a sedentary lifestyle, raises the probability of hypertension. Smoking causes blood vessels to narrow, resulting in higher blood pressure. Smoking also lowers the blood flow so the heart must pump faster in order to compensate, resulting in a rise in blood pressure. 9) Alcohol ingestion People who drink frequently have higher systolic blood pressure than people who do not, according to investigators. They found that systolic blood pressure levels are about 7 millimeters of mercury (mmHg) high in people who drink often than in people who do not drink. 10) High salt intake Researchers reported that societies where people don't eat much salt have lower blood pressures than areas where people eat a great deal of salt. 11) High-fat diet Many health professionals say that a diet high in fat leads to a raised high blood pressure hazard. But most dietitians stress that the challenge is not how much fat is consumed, but instead which kind of fats. Fats sourced from crops such as avocados, nuts, olive oil, and omega oils are good for you. Saturated fats that are typical in animal-sourced foods, in addition to Trans fats, are all bad for you. 12) Emotional anxiety A variety of studies have offered compelling evidence that psychological stress, particularly over the long run, can have a serious effect on blood pressure. One study suggested that the way that air traffic controller’s deal with stress can affect whether they are in danger of developing high blood pressure later in life. 13) Diabetes People with diabetes are at a greater risk of developing hypertension. Among people with type 1 diabetes, high blood sugar is a risk factor for incident hypertension - efficient and consistent blood sugar control, with insulin, reduces the long-term danger of developing hypertension. People with type 2 diabetes are at risk of hypertension due to elevated blood glucose, in addition to other variables, such as overweight and obesity, certain medicines, and some cardiovascular diseases. 14) Psoriasis A study which followed 78,000 women for 14 years discovered that having psoriasis was connected to a higher risk of developing high blood pressure and diabetes. Psoriasis is an immune system condition that appears on the skin in the form of thick, red scaly patches. 15) Pregnancy Pregnant women have a higher chance of developing hypertension than women of the identical age that aren't pregnant. It is by far the most frequent medical problem encountered during pregnancy, complicating 2 to 3% of pregnancies.

Birth Control Patch Side Effects, Risks, and Other Things to Consider

09:27
Birth Control Patch Side Effects, Risks, and Other Things to Consider What is the birth control patch? The birth control patch is a contraceptive device that you can stick to your skin. It works by delivering the hormones progestin and estrogen into your bloodstream. These prevent ovulation, which is the release of eggs from your ovaries. They also thicken your cervical mucus, which acts as a barrier against sperm. The patch is shaped like a small square. It’s meant to be worn for the first 21 days of your menstrual cycle. You apply a new patch every week. Every third week, you skip a patch, which makes it possible to have your period. After your period, you’ll start the process over with a new patch. When choosing a birth control method, it’s important to consider both the benefits and the potential side effects. Read on to learn more about the side effects of the patch as well as other things to consider. What are the side effects? Like most hormonal birth control methods, the patch can cause a range of side effects. Most of these aren’t serious and only last for two or three menstrual cycles while your body adjusts. Potential birth control patch side effects include: acne bleeding or spotting between periods diarrhea fatigue feeling dizzy fluid retention headache irritated skin at the patch site menstrual cramps mood swings muscle cramps or spasms nausea pain in the abdomen tenderness or pain in the breasts vaginal discharge vaginal infections vomiting weight gain The patch can also cause issues with contact lenses. Make an appointment with your doctor if you notice any change in your vision or have trouble wearing contacts. You should also contact your doctor if you’re still having side effects after using the patch for three months. Are there any serious risks associated with it? Nearly all forms of birth control involving estrogen can increase your risk of certain health problems. But according to Planned Parenthood, these risks aren’t common. More serious potential side effects of the birth control patch include: blood clots gallbladder disease heart attack high blood pressure liver cancer stroke If you smoke or are over the age of 35, your risk of these more serious side effects increases. You doctor might also suggest another method to you if you: are scheduled for a surgical procedure that will limit your mobility during recovery developed jaundice during a pregnancy or while on the pill get migraines with auras have a history of very high blood pressure or stroke have an elevated BMI or are considered to be obese have chest pain or have had a heart attack have diabetes-related complications that affect your blood vessels, kidneys, nerves, or vision have had uterine, breast, or liver cancer have heart or liver disease have irregular periods of breakthrough bleeding have previously had a blood clot take any over-the-counter or prescription medication, including herbal supplements, that could interact with the hormones To minimize your risks of serious side effects, be sure to tell your doctor if you: are breastfeeding are taking medication for epilepsy feel depressed or have been diagnosed with depression have a skin condition, such as eczema or psoriasis have diabetes have high cholesterol have kidney, liver, or heart disease recently had a baby recently had a miscarriage or abortion think you may have a lump or changes in one or both of your breasts If you’re concerned about these side effects, nonhormonal birth control may be a better option for you. Read about the different options for birth control without hormones. What else should I know? In addition to potential side effects and risks, there are many other things to consider when choosing a birth control method. How will it fit into your lifestyle? Will you be able to remember to take a daily pill or would you prefer something more hands-off? When it comes to the patch, keep the following in mind: Maintenance. You’ll need to change the patch on the same day each week, except for the week when you have your period. If you change it a day late, you’ll need to use a backup form of birth control for a week. You may also have irregular bleeding or spotting with a late patch. Intimacy. The patch won’t interfere with any sexual activities. You also won’t have to pause to put it on during sex. Time line. The patch takes seven days to start working. During this time, you’ll need to use a backup method of contraception. Location. The patch must be placed on clean, dry skin on your lower abdomen, outside of your upper arm, upper back (away from bra straps or anything that could rub or loosen it), or buttocks.
