Spanish/Nat Jails in Bolivia are proving that incarceration is turning more and more into a family affair. Women and children have moved in with their imprisoned spouses creating a small village within the enclosed walls of the prisons. Bolivian jail authorities say they did not plan on this but they see it as a positive move in the rehabilitation of the inmates. "La familia" - the family - is an integral part of Latin American culture and society - regardless of whether a person is in good or bad terms with the law. And Bolivia is a prime example of the importance of family. In this South American country families are key to prisoners' lives. And jail life is becoming a family affair. As jail populations increase, spouses and children are taking over the responsibility of looking after the inmates providing clothes, food, and everything they need to survive in prison. In Bolivia, women and children have simply moved in with their imprisoned spouses. Ironically it is in Bolivia where government neglect of inmates is greater and inmates depend to a large extent on their families. Officials say over 12-hundred children live with one or both of their parents in jails throughout Bolivia. The result is what looks like a small village enclosed within the walls of some of the country's largest prisons. In the courtyards children play while men and women work on their projects, cook, clean and fend for themselves. Bolivian jail authorities say they did not plan to have families sharing cells, but they say it is good for both the children and the inmates. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) On one hand it's beneficial in the sense that they do not lose contact with their families and they will not be part of the large armies of street children or abandoned children. There's also the positive aspect that it helps the inmate in his rehabilitation - especially emotional and psychological. But there are also some negative sides, because no one asks the kids if they want to be there. Also there are limitations in their psychological and cognitive development due to enclosement. SUPER CAPTION: Jose Luis Harb, Under-secretary for Penitentiaries Others say prisons with families are less violent than those without them. And the children seem to like it. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Q: How do you live here? A: Happily Q: Do you have friends? Tell me. A: Yeah, I have friends and I play. Q: Are you going to school? A: I'll go to school. SUPER CAPTION: Gonzalo Gonzales, inmate's son SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) I've been here for a year and a half with my mother. Q: Do you go to school? A: Yes, I got to school. I go out. I feel good being here. SUPER CAPTION: Maria Cruz, inmate's daughter The parents also feel good about having their children with them. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Q: Is it good company? A: It's good to have my son by my side. SUPER CAPTION: Fermin Zamora, inmate Living conditions are not the best. Still many inmates prefer to take part in their children's growth. Similar programmes are in effect throughout Latin America and the United States may consider a similar project in the future. Raising children under these conditions can be a nerve-racking task, but for these inmates, it is the most realistic choice in preventing a breakdown of the Bolivian family structure. 10 Biggest Architecture Fails In The World
Top 10 shocking architectural failures in history! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: david.f@valnetinc.com Other Videos You Might Like Roads You Wouldn't Want To Drive On https://youtu.be/ym4uVS-5tSA?list=PLXK3uPjJ22FUgkmE10ySoALx9YjknvXHI The Largest Things In The World https://youtu.be/V1lfjKqGgf8?list=PLXK3uPjJ22FUgkmE10ySoALx9YjknvXHI Description: Architecture is one of the most astounding and complex professions in the world today. It has only been well over a century since skyscrapers first made their appearance in the late nineteenth century, complete with photos of the construction that alarmingly include men eating their lunch thousands of feet into the air with nothing to hang on to should they fall. Architecture requires some of the most brilliant minds in the world today, as complex designs have to have a way to stay standing. If you look at buildings from the earlier times, they looked like square boxes with some windows. But the innovation of design has challenged architects to be more creative and productive in their designs. From buildings to bridges, people want more aesthetics than functionality these days. However, functionality is crucial because it can make the difference between life and death. If a student makes an error on their test, the worst thing that will happen is that they get a bad grade. If an artist messes up on a piece, the worst thing that will happen is that there was time lost and wasted. But if an architect makes an error, then there is more devastation and more at risk. If an architect writes up plans that are flawed, and those plans are published around the world, then there is potential for worldwide catastrophe. When it all comes down to it, architectural failures can be devastating and lives can be lost at epic proportions. In this video are ten of the biggest architecture failures that have ever occurred around the world. Not only did these fails result in monetary loss, but also resulted in catastrophic damage to the people involved that involved PTSD and death. From the collapse of bridges to the downfall of some of the mightiest buildings to have ever existed, these failures are a grim reminder that we are still not perfect and have a lot of work to do in terms of how much we can create on our own. Sometimes loss of life isn’t the only major issue when it comes to architecture failures. Sometimes it’s something as simple as color of the building. Take the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Vdara Hotel and Spa. The buildings are both very shiny and reflect the sun, thus unintentionally creating a massive heat ray that moves as the Earth moves around the sun. People have actually reported their hair getting singe and plastic melting from the rays coming off of the buildings. Perhaps that’s why we don’t see many silver buildings anymore? The entries in this video are both tragic and humorous. As the art of architecture continues to evolve and change, we will likely see more failures come as experimentation in the building world continues to progress. We are learning with each building how to create something bigger and better, along with making sure that the building is safe and not put together with paperclips, glue, and maybe a few thumbtacks. Prison: The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me
Malik Abdul-Haqq turned to drugs to fill a void in his life, but he received a wake-up call when he was sentenced to a three-year stint in a California state prison. To get his life back on track, he traded his drug addiction for an addiction to wellness and started doing CrossFit. A longtime bodybuilding enthusiast, Abdul-Haqq created a plan for surviving prison: He would read the books his father gave him and exercise every day. But weightlifting has been banned in California state prisons since 1998, so Abdul-Haqq had to get creative. When he wasn’t running or performing body-weight movements, he would fill old T-shirts with gravel and use them as weights in the yard. Upon his release, Abdul-Haqq decided he no longer wanted to focus exclusively on bodybuilding. Instead of being a specialist, he wanted to be “an all-around badass,” and CrossFit’s emphasis on constantly varied functional movement was a better fit for his long-term goals. After receiving encouragement from the coaches in his CrossFit community in Oakland, California, he completed the CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course. Abdul-Haqq plans to open his own gym and offer after-school fitness programs for local kids someday. When can a California life inmate seek parole?
http://www.shouselaw.com/parolehearings.htm 888.327.4652 A California prisoners' rights attorney explains when a life inmate can apply for a parole date. People often confuse the terms probation and parole. Probation is part of the sentencing that a person receives when convicted. Imposed by the judge, it either reduces or eliminates the time that a defendant must spend in custody. Depending on the circumstances, either the court or a probation officer monitors the defendant's compliance with his/her probation terms. Parole too is a supervised program. But it applies only in felony cases where a person is sent to California state prison. And doesn't take effect until after the person's release from prison. Once "paroled", the inmate agrees to abide by certain terms and conditions.2 When an inmate is paroled depends on his or her sentence. Inmates who are sentenced to the California state prison for a specific amount of time (referred to as a "determinate sentence") are automatically placed on parole once they are released. Inmates who are sentenced to state prison for potential life sentences (for example, 25 years to life) are eligible for parole after they serve the determinate part of their sentence...but only after the parole board determines that they are ready to "re-enter" society. That determination takes place during a California Board of Parole suitability (Lifer) hearing. Just prior to being placed on parole, an inmate is assigned to a parole agent. One of the parole agent's responsibilities is making sure that the parolee complies with the terms and conditions of his/her parole. A violation of any of those parole conditions can lead to a California parole violation and revocation hearing. As former prosecutors and law enforcement officers, we understand first-hand how these proceedings work and how to help you with any issues related to the California parole system.

Secrets From Canada's Most Famous Prison: The Kingston Penitentiary | Doc Zone
Stories of redemption, punishment, and trauma from one of the oldest prisons in the world, the Kingston Penitentiary, which will finally close its doors in 2014. #DocZone • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Built by its own inhabitants before Canada was born, the Kingston Maximum Security Penitentiary is one of the oldest functioning prisons in the world. Through its 177 year-long history, the country's most famous prison has faced riots, fires, and hundreds of escape attempts. With the recent announcement that it will be shutting its doors in just under two years, a chapter of our history is ending as well. But the stories live on forever. In Tales from KP, we will unlock some of the most carefully guarded secrets of the Kingston Pen. Did you know, for example, that prisoners were not allowed to talk at all? And if they broke this rule or any other, they can be flogged, sent to solitary confinement, or be forced to stand in a coffin! Through the voices of ex-inmates and ex-guards, you will learn what it took to survive in KP. Everything was a potential threat, from knives fashioned out of toothbrushes, to soup infused with spit or urine. Tension was always high in the penitentiary. There were riots, but none so bad as the uprising in 1971. The prison was practically destroyed, and the shockwaves it sent across the country led to important reforms. In Tales from KP, you will hear rare interviews from those who were there—the inmates, a negotiator, and the last surviving hostage. Tales From KP is also a reflection on 177 years of crime and punishment in Canada. What started as a noble experiment in social enlightenment evolved into a hated and feared institution where only the worst criminals were sent and still remain. Clifford Olson spent time at KP. Prisoners like Paul Bernardo, Russell Williams, are still behind their bars. Soon they and the others will be moved to other institutions. But the stories which resonate behind those large grey limestone walls will live on forever, raising questions which will not be easily answered. "Thriller" (original upload)
Update: 1/29/01 Video can be viewed worldwide except in Germany. Why "Thriller" ? visit: http://byronfgarcia.com 1,500 plus CPDRC inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, Cebu, Philippines at practice! This is not the final routine, and definitely not a punishment! WHY THRILLER? What made me choose Michael Jackson's Thriller for the aerobics routine is that Michael Jackson was a convicted man to the eyes of those who hated him. He would have been in imprisoned had it not been for settlement arrangements, they would say. Still Michael Jackson's frailty as a human being makes him like one of us -- whether one is a prisoner or not. I saw in the lyrics and video of Thriller much of what jail culture is like. Because of the hideous conditions in jails, prisons are like tombs and inmates are like ghoulish creatures. The only difference is that dancers in the MJ Thriller video come with make-up and costumes. The Dancing Inmates come as themselves. People perceived to be evil. The message of the Thriller is a message for all of us. The funk of forty thousand years embedded in the cycle of sin and punishment is a legacy no mere mortal can resist or is capable of resisting. No prison wall can and will stop evil from lurking in the dark. No shackle can stop the beast about to strike. No punitive or brutal treatment is ever too strong to stop creatures crawling in search of blood. Unless we stop breeding demons in jails, gruesome ghouls from every tomb will seal the doom of nations and civilizations. What I wanted inmates to do in dancing to the Thriller was for them to be convicted to sin. When I uploaded this on the YouTube, what I wanted viewers to see is how evil dances in our lives without knowing its deathly consequences. But then the song and dance number is but a medium to the message. The message is, governments must stop looking at jails darkly. We have to stop being entertained and thrilled by the sting of sin. We have to look at prisons beyond the cycle of crime and punishment and certainly look inside underlying social, cultural and psychological implications of rehabilitation. No matter how jails are called, prisons by any name are still hell -- the corpse's shell. It is a location in the map that governments would like to hide but cannot conceal. It's like the "horror looking right between the eyes, you're paralyzed." This paralyzing reality is such that if we make jails a living hell, we may be breeding the next generation demons or beast and we may be sending out devils once they are released and reintegrated to society. Michael Jackson may have exposed the evils of this Earth in the Thriller but he had a strong message of saving humanity from doom in his "Heal the World" where he said "heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race." Michael Jackson's message was a message of salvation. "There are people dying if you care enough for the living, make it a better place for you and for me." We may have missed out what Michael was trying to say beyond the lyrics. PEACE TO ALL MANKIND! Byron F. Garcia

View more scary, haunted photos today at http://theywillkillyou.com/10-haunting-images-real/ Subscribe for new videos: http://goo.gl/SaufF4 From bone-chilling bloodstains to fear-inducing phantom sightings, these are the seven most haunted places in the U.S. Number 7: The Bird Cage Theatre From 1881 until 1889, the Bird Cage Theatre was used not only as a theatre, but also as a brothel & gambling parlor in Tombstone, Arizona. This was a place where miners occupying the town during the late 19th century's silver boom could gamble, buy beer & sex, & watch masquerade balls. The place had a legendary reputation for being a rowdy spot where fights would often break out. Bullet holes lined the walls of the building & it's believed that at least 26 people lost their lives here. It's also said to be haunted. To this day, the theatre operates as a tourist attraction, where workers & visitors alike have reported paranormal activity. Some claim to have seen the spirits of prostitutes & cowboys roaming the hallways while there are also rumors that sounds of a 19th century-style saloon party can still be heard some nights. On one occasion, a tourist found a $100 poker chip on one of the tables, something that had never been seen before. The manager then locked it in a safe with the plan of eventually showing it to experts. But when he later reopened the safe, however, the chip was gone. Another eerie instance involved Wyatt Earp, the sheriff famous for the O.K. Corral shootout. Wyatt Earp's statue once sat in the theatre box that he preferred when the theatre was fully operational. But curiously, every single morning for six months, his hat would be found in the middle of the floor. After consulting a historian, the theatre was told that the statue was in the wrong box. It was mistakenly placed in the box that the Clanton family frequented; the significance being that notorious outlaw Billy Clanton was an enemy of Earp's & was killed by the sheriff during the infamous O.K. Corral shootout. Clanton's ghost is said to be a visitor of the theatre & thus, was the one responsible for moving the hat. Number 6: The Biltmore Hotel Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Biltmore Hotel was erected in 1895 for textile manufacturer, Cone Mills, but was later renovated into a hotel. It also served as a brothel during the mid-20th century & still operates as a hotel to this day. But there have been frequently-reported encounters with ghosts here. Room 32, for example, is haunted by Philip. Philip worked as an accountant for Cone Mills back when the building served as the company's office. One day, his dead body was discovered in the alleyway surrounded by glass. People initially assumed he commit suicide. But when investigators turned the body over, they found that his throat had been slit. It was later uncovered that he had been embezzling money from the company & that his murder might have been retribution. The case was never solved, however, & his ghost is rumored to haunt room 32; the room that used to be his office & was the room where he was thrown out of. Patrons of the room claim to see a man standing near the window looking out. Some female guests have claimed the ghost has even hopped into bed with them! Room 23 is also said to be haunted. During its time as a brothel, a prostitute named Lydia worked at the Biltmore & always took her clients to room 23. She died there after she was pushed down the hotel's stairs. These days, patrons who stay in room 23 claim to see a red-headed woman in the room. She's also been known to take a disliking towards drunks. Hotel guests who've had too much to drink claim to have a tough time walking up the stairs, almost as if someone was pushing them down the very same stairs on which Lydia was murdered. Number 5: The Old Idaho State Penitentiary The Old Idaho State Penitentiary opened in 1872 & housed some of the worst criminals in the region for just over a century. By the 1930s, the prison garnered a reputation for being extremely violent. Famous criminals such as Lyda Southard & Harry Orchard were imprisoned here. Over the years, many riots erupted over the poor living conditions at the prison. In 1973, all the prisoners were moved to a newly built prison and “The Old Pen,” as it was known, eventually became a tourist attraction. According to the website Roadtrippers, people who visit The Old Pen experience odd, inexplicable phenomena. Some visitors, for example, claim they've been touched by unseen forces. The museum's employees say they hear wailing & screaming sounds when no one else is around; perhaps those of the inmates' ghosts. Number 4: The Villisca Axe Murder House June 10th, 1912: the Moore family & two friends are found dead in

James Burns is voluntarily spending 30 days in solitary confinement. Learn more at solitary.vice.com: http://bit.ly/2icVUGb ---- America’s relationship with its mentally ill population continues to suffer as a result of inadequacies in the country’s mental health care system. For the mentally ill in Chicago, the effects of this inadequacy are felt on a magnified scale, as budget cuts and a lack of community-based mental health resources have left these individuals with minimal support. More often than not, this means being repeatedly swept up into the criminal justice system for low-level, non-violent crimes VICE News takes an immersive look at this issue by going inside the Cook County Jail and speaking with community members on Chicago's south side. Success Is NOT A Straight Line: Using "Failure" As Feedback

A really important perspective to have any time you set out to reach a particular goal I think, is to basically be able to separate your ego from the process and to be able to look at setbacks and even flat out regression as just being nothing more than forms of feedback that you can use to adjust your actions moving forward. For a lot of people, when they don't seem to be making progress toward a particular goal, they'll tend to look at that and automatically say things like, "I guess there's something wrong with ME", "maybe I'm not cut out for this", "I failed", rather than saying what's actually much more likely true, which is just that "there's something wrong with the set of actions that I'm taking", "there's something wrong with my plan that needs to be changed", "it's not ME, it's my approach". You should already know any time you make the decision to reach a certain goal, whether it's with fitness or business or some sort of social goal or anything else, that there absolutely 100% are going to be obstacles and setbacks along the way. You should already know this for sure at the very outset before you get started, and so it shouldn't be any surprise at all when they show up and it shouldn't be any reason to get discouraged or to stop. It's not going to be a "straight line" to your goal, and if you can't accept that before starting then you might as well not even bother because that's what it's going to look like. People make the mistake of thinking that those plateaus or those regressions are "failures", when in reality it's all just part of one single process. There's no actual failure unless you stop and you give up because then you're 100% guaranteed to never get there, but as long as you keep going and you just keep adjusting and adapting to the feedback you're getting, then there's no question of "failure" because when ou do reach that end goal, again, it's all just part of one process. It's like this with all areas of life. For example, anybody who has learned to play a musical instrument (I play the guitar so I know what that's like,), you were probably completely terrible when you first started. You could barely even hold your hands in the right place, but that didn't bother you because you expected that that was going to be the case when you got started, it was a new skill that you had to learn. But you tried one thing and you "failed" and then you adjusted based on that, and then you tried another thing and you "failed" and you adjusted based on that, and you just kept going and going and going and using those little "failures" as feedback and then eventually over time you got better and you learned to play proficiently. So it's like that with everything else in life, again, fitness, business, school, your social life, sports, whatever it is. It's a messy process to get from A to B, and you should expect that right from the start, and you should just treat every challenge that shows up as being new information that you can then use to adjust your plan moving forwrad until you eventually get to your goal. And that's why you hear quotes like, "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" or things like that, which is true because a lot of the time it's not the most naturally skilled people or the most intelligent people that accomplish their goals and follow through on things, it's literally just people who stick to things and just keep going and going and going both when things are going well and when they're not. The right formula to get to where you want to go already exists, it's already out there, and so it's just a matter of having the perseverance to just keep adapting and adjusting until you land on that right formula.

Case study clinical example CBT: First session with a client with symptoms of depression (CBT model)
Case study example for use in teaching, aiming to demonstrate some of the triggers, thoughts, feelings and responses linked with problematic low mood. This section here represents the first 14 minutes of an initial therapy session, but in order to try and outline the vicious cycle, it moves faster than an average session might. The video features an actor playing the character of Lucy, but the dialogue is not scripted, and as such represents a natural therapeutic exchange. I myself am a qualified Clinical Psychologist, but would definitely not suggest that this is a perfect example of therapy! This video was produced as a collaboration between the University of Leeds and Leeds Trinity University (Ricardo Barker).

And I smell like I've been staying in something Croc left behind. Inmate 2: Do you ever stop complaining? Inmate 3: Shut up, the both of you! We've got a job to do. Penguin's crew are on the run. Joker wants us to off any them we find. Inmate 1: I thought he was offering jobs. Inmate 3: He said it's up to us. Personally, I don't like those jerks, so I say we put a bullet in their heads. Inmate 2: Fine with me. Inmate 1: This won't take long. Inmate 3: This will be easy, Bat-. Batman: Joker's got his crew moving through the sewers, hunting down what's left of Penguin's thugs. Inmate 4: Listen up! The last of the Penguin's crews are holed up somewhere up ahead. Joker wants them found. Inmate 5: Do we kill them? Inmate 4: Up to us. Inmate 6: I saw we kill them. There was some kind of fair hundreds of years ago, maybe more. Something happened, and bits were demolished. A new city was built on top of it. Inmate 11: You learn something everyday, don't you? Inmate 8: So this Old Gotham, what happened to it? Inmate 9: Don't you listen? I told you, there was some kind of accident and it . . . Inmate 12: [inaudible 00:08:19], Batman. Shocking Crimes That The Internet Solved
Criminals who were caught with the help of the online community. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Description: The Internet is truly one of the most amazing innovations of our society today. From social media, and engaging in the world of information and learning. There isn’t anything that you can do on the Internet that remains a secret these days. With the government tracking online activity, and fellow community members able to conduct research on others, it can be hard to do something online and expect to get away with it, especially these days. This includes crime. The people who are breaking the law and are of immoral character seem to suffer under the sin of vanity, meaning that they can’t stay quiet about their crimes. Once their bragging is posted online, millions of people are able to track the perpetrator and report it to police. Sometimes, the best detectives are regular people who hang out behind the computer screen. Celia Blay solved a case after she was browsing the Internet and found a suicide newsgroup. There, she discovered that there were plans for a mass suicide pact. Blay tried to report the pact to police, but they showed little interest in the case, so she did her own investigation and digging. She befriended and started looking into a suspicious user by the name of “Li Dao”, who claimed to be a young woman with suicidal tendencies. However, Blay discovered that Li Dao was actually a middle aged man by the name of William Melchert-Dinkel, who was convicted of assisting suicides after showing numerous people how to hang themselves via webcam. William’s desires of playing God with the lives of people were over thanks to Celia Blay. Of course, if there is any group that has made solving crimes via Internet a true art form, it is the hacktivist group, “Anonymous”. After declaring war on pedophiles and online predators in 2011, Anonymous have brought down over 41 pedophile websites and reported over 1,500 names of predators to the FBI for further investigation. Anonymous is still going strong to this day, making the Internet a safer place thanks to their vigilante techniques. Social media has also had a big hand in solving crimes. After a hate crime against a gay couple occurred, media outlets released the surveillance footage, hoping that the public could help police identify the people in the video. Luckily, Twitter users rose to the occasion and began retweeting the video and sharing it all over the Internet. Eventually, someone was able to identify the people in the video after they checked into the location on Facebook, and they were arrested and brought to justice. Then we have crooks that accidentally report themselves. For example, Randy Schaefer discovered that his truck was broken into, and $5,000 cash and his iPad were stolen. Randy was going to try to move on from the incident, until he noticed that the robbers were recording videos and taking pictures with the iPad, unaware that it was being uploaded to Randy’s iCloud account. The police eventually caught up with the crooks and they were arrested. For more crimes that the Internet solved, check out the rest of this video, and be ready to face palm yourself, as some of the perpetrators in this video surely did some terrible and stupid things that pretty much gave themselves away. Obama Lays Out Plans for Closing Guantanamo Bay
(23 Feb 2016) RESTRICTION SUMMARY: AP CLIENTS ONLY AP TELEVISION - AP CLIENTS ONLY Guantanamo Bay, Cuba - 2 February 2016 1. Various of Guantanamo prison camp AP TELEVISION - AP CLIENTS ONLY Washington, DC - 23 February 2016 2. SOUNDBITE (English) Barack Obama, US President: "We'll continue to securely and responsibly transfer to other countries the 35 detainees out of the 91 that have already been approved for transfer. Keep in mind this process involves extensive and careful coordination across our federal government to ensure that our national security interests are met when an individual is transferred to another country. So, for example, we insist that foreign countries institute strong security measures. And as we move forward that means that we will have around 60 and potentially even fewer detainees remaining. Second, we'll accelerate the periodic reviews of remaining detainees to determine whether their continued detention is necessary. Our review board, which includes representatives from across government, will continue to look at all relevant information including current intelligence, and if certain detainees no longer pose a continuing significant threat, they may be eligible for transfer to another country as well. Number three, we'll continue to use all legal tools to deal with the remaining detainees still held under law of war of detention. Currently, 10 detainees are in some stage of the military commissions process, a process that we worked hard to reform in my first year of office with bipartisan support from Congress." AP TELEVISION - AP CLIENTS ONLY Guantanamo Bay, Cuba - 2 February 2016 3. Various of detainees inside prison camp ++MUTE++ AP TELEVISION - AP CLIENTS ONLY Washington, DC - 23 February 2016 4. SOUNDBITE (English) Barack Obama, US President: "We're going to work with Congress to find a secure location in the United States to hold remaining detainees. These are detainees who are subject to military commissions but also includes those who cannot yet be transferred to other countries or who we've determined must continue to be detained because they pose a continuing significant threat to the United States. We are not identifying a specific facility today in this plan, we are outlining what options look like. As Congress has imposed restrictions that currently prevent the transfer of detainees to the United States, we recognise this is going to be a challenge and we're going to keep making the case to Congress that we can do this in a responsible and secure way, taking into account the lessons and great record of our maximum security prisons." AP TELEVISION - AP CLIENTS ONLY Guantanamo Bay, Cuba - 2 February 2016 5. Various of prison camp, soldiers at camp AP TELEVISION - AP CLIENTS ONLY Washington, DC - 23 February 2016 6. SOUNDBITE (English) Barack Obama, US President: "I don't want to pass this problem onto the next president, whoever it is, and if as a nation we don't deal with this now, when will we deal with it? Are we going to let this linger on for another 15 years, another 20 years, another 30 years? If we don't do what's required now, I think future generations are going to look back and ask why we failed to act when the right course, the right side of history and justice and our best American traditions was clear." AP TELEVISION - AP CLIENTS ONLY Guantanamo Bay, Cuba - 2 February 2016 7. Various of prison camp STORYLINE: US President Barack Obama on Tuesday proposed to "once and for all" close the detention centre at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and transfer remaining detainees to a facility in the United States. He said that despite significant political hurdles and congressional opposition he is making one last effort to shutter the controversial facility. Christian Prince attacks Walid Shoebat after exposing Mosab Hassan as a fraud,
After exposing Mosab Hassan as a fraud, Christian Prince says he regrets working with Walid Shoebat !! --------------------------------------------------- 'Son of Hamas' Denounced as a Phony By Gil Ronen Walid Shoebat, a former Muslim terrorist who now supports Israel, has accused former Shin Bet agent Mosab Hasan Yousef, author of "Son of Hamas," of duping his Western audience. Yousef denies the accusations. Shoebat and Yousef are both former Muslims who converted to Christianity. Yousef became a celebrity when he wrote his book, which detailed how he assisted Israeli agents against Hamas. As the son of a high-ranking Hamas official, he had access to real-time information that helped the Shin Bet nab numerous wanted terrorists and saved many Israeli lives. However, Shoebat - a noted author and commentator on the Middle East - claims in an article on hos website that Yousef "has since revealed himself to be more double agent than turncoat." "Mosab did not convert to what the West would recognize as Christianity, but to a fiery, Palestinian brand of the faith that is vehemently anti-Israel," he writes. Shoebat uses as evidence two videotapes of interviews Mosab granted to Arabic television channels. The videos, with English translation, can be seen here. Speaking on Al-Arabiya, Mosab said: "During my tours in universities and even churches, [I found] the real support for Israel stems from the church in the West. ... We need to understand the difference between "revenge" and "resistance" and once the Palestinians do, we will have our victory against Israel. Israel is the problem and as an occupation it needs to end. ... There are many ways to do this besides the cowardly explosive operations." He adds that he "suffered under all the problems of murder and the criminal operations that were carried out by the Israeli occupation against my people, my family, myself, and against humanity." When Mosab was being interviewed on Christian-Arabic television station Al Hayat, the presenter asked a caller what he would do if he were in Mosab's position and could prevent dozens of school children from being killed by turning in a Hamas man to Israel. When the caller vacillated, Mosab spoke: If I was in your shoes, you should not report it to Israel. I do not encourage anyone to give information to Israel or collaborate with Israel. If anyone hears me right now and they are in relation to Israeli security I advise them to work for the interest of their own people — number one — and do not work with the [Israeli] enemy against the interest of our people. They should collaborate with the Palestinian Authority only. Mosab's book is also "littered with factual errors and exaggerations," Shoebat accused. For example: "Mosab portrays the Jerusalem prison as a center for torture and persecution of Palestinians. The reality is much kinder; each inmate has his own bed and an in-the-cell shower as well. I know this — I was a prisoner there myself. We ate three full meals a day, and drank tea or sweet punch." Shoebat warns: "Mosab is now touring churches to end Israel's lifeline. Many Jews and Christians in the West are unable to determine friend from foe in the Mideast; they are not able to read what is said in Arabic. They must seek translations, and must be aware of double agents like Mosab." http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/144127#.Txv8DqWonuE -------------------------------------------------- Christian Prince is an author and debater on Paltalk. Offenders Urged to Stay Onside
Offenders in Northern Ireland are getting the chance to turn their lives around through the development of a new programme by the Irish FA and agencies involved in the Reducing Offending in Partnership (ROP). ROP is a Northern Ireland-wide approach to the management of priority, or prolific offenders and young people at risk of offending, by the police service, probation service, youth justice agency and prison service. This new and innovative intervention aims to reduce re-offending and reduce the number of victims of crime. Justice Minister, Claire Sugden, commenting on the launch of the new programme said: "This programme is both innovative and collaborative. I am delighted that Justice organisations including probation, police, prisons and youth justice have come together with the Irish FA to design a programme which aims to tackle the root causes of offending. We need to move beyond dealing with the symptoms of crime and instead deal with the causes and I believe this programme provides an opportunity to do just that. " Deputy Director of Probation and Chair of the ROP Steering Group, Paul Doran stated: "Through this programme young people who have offended will learn skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, how to deal with anger issues, and victim empathy. Many of those who have offended have very few positive relationships in their life and it is hoped that through this programme they will encounter positive role models who can motivate and inspire them but also challenge their attitudes and help them move away from a life of crime." PSNI Assistant Chief Constable Stephen Martin added: "The role of the police service is to help keep people safe by policing with the community. We know that to build a safe and secure society we need to work with a range of partners and have the support of the wider community. This initiative is a great example of policing with the community which has the potential to make a real impact in reducing re-offending. This new programme will be evaluated so that we fully understand the outcomes and can evidence the impact. I want to pay tribute to the leadership of the IFA for their commitment in helping to design this programme which will benefit people throughout NI." Irish FA President David Martin said: “The Irish FA is committed to football for all and believes that our sport makes a positive impact on the community in Northern Ireland. I am delighted that the association is helping to pioneer this innovative programme and I look forward to seeing the meaningful impact it has in the coming months and years.”

Suspense: An Honest Man / Beware the Quiet Man / Crisis
There have been at least two television series called simply Thriller, one made in the U.S. in the 1960s and one made in the UK in the 1970s. Although in no way linked, both series consisted of one-off dramas, each utilising the familiar motifs of the genre. 24 is a fast-paced television series with a premise inspired by the War on Terror. Each season takes place over the course of twenty-four hours, with each episode happening in "real time". Featuring a split-screen technique and a ticking onscreen clock, 24 follows the exploits of federal agent Jack Bauer as he races to foil terrorist threats. Lost, which deals with the survivors of a plane crash, sees the castaways on the island forced to deal with a monstrous being that appears as a cloud of black smoke, a conspiracy of "Others" who have kidnapped or killed their fellow castaways at various points, a shadowy past of the island itself that they are trying to understand, polar bears, and the fight against these and other elements as they struggle simply to stay alive and get out of the island. Prison Break follows Michael Scofield, an engineer who has himself incarcerated in a maximum-security prison in order to break out his brother, who is on death row for a crime he did not commit. In the first season Michael must deal with the hazards of prison life, the other inmates and prison staff, and executing his elaborate escape plan, while outside the prison Michael's allies investigate the conspiracy that led to Lincoln being framed. In the second season, Michael, his brother and several other inmates escape the prison and must evade the nationwide manhunt for their re-capture, as well as those who want them dead. Other examples include, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The 4400, Medium, revenge, Numb3rs, The Twilight Zone and The X-Files. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thriller_%28genre%29
