9 important things you should avoid doing on an empty stomach. And by “empty stomach” we mean no less than two hours after your last meal. “You are what you eat” is a statement known to everyone. But do you know that what we do before a meal also has a great impact on our health? Also, we have a bonus: what you should eat when you're really hungry. Stay healthy! TIMESTAMPS Taking anti-inflammatories 0:49 Drinking coffee 1:48 Drinking alcohol 2:49 Chewing gum 3:45 Going to bed 4:52 Intense training 5:55 Shopping 6:50 Drinking citrus juice 7:47 Arguing 8:49 SUMMARY What you can do when you’re hungry. Well, there are at least two things that you should on an empty stomach. 1. Solve problems. Your ability to concentrate reduces when you’re hungry. According to research, this is the legacy of our early ancestors who had to focus all their efforts to get food. The hunger hormone also helps to perform various tasks, stimulating the brain activity. 2. Make choices. If you can’t decide on what to choose, try doing it on an empty stomach. Research shows that hunger leads people into more successful, even though more impulsive, decisions. Of course, you’d better not use this method when matters of finances, relationships, or health are at stake. Bobby Wiggins, Drug Prevention Specialists, gives important information on how long do drugs stay in your system? Drugs stay in the body for only a short time. True or False? False. Many drugs, for example THC in marijuana, are fat soluble substance. They lodge (stay) in the fatty tissues for a certain amount of time. Mr. Wiggins was addicted to drugs for 16 years and he put an end to his addiction by doing the Narconon drug rehab program (with the sauna detox sweat out which helps a person flush / remove the drugs out of the body). You can call one of our counselors to answer questions you may have. In this video he gives details on what drugs do to the system. More drug facts and education on http://www.narconon.org/ where you can find helpful pages and articles.

Highly-addictive drugs prescribed leniently by medical professionals have contributed to our national opioid crisis. There is strong evidence to suggest that weed might be one potential cure to America’s pill-popping ways. Join Merry Jane News correspondent Brooke Burgstahler as she compares cannabis to highly-addictive prescription drugs like Percocet, Vicodin, OxyContin, Adderall, Valium, and Xanax. The scientific understanding of these potentially deadly substances and how they interact with the human body and mind to control pain, anxiety, and depression shows why marijuana may be the perfect alternative. From street drugs to over-the-counter drugs, addiction can be extremely destructive to the body and mind. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: Let us get the basic message of this video out of the way, shall we? Drugs are bad. They are very bad! According to numerous studies, about 1 in 20 people in the world abuse drugs to some degree. That’s about 230 million people, and that is a lot of druggies walking around the planet. With new drugs being created and tested each day, it seems that there is no end to the infamous “War on Drugs” and it seems that we’re losing, considering the amount of people who abuse drugs. There have been countless arguments and debates over what exactly is a drug, since marijuana is illegal while nicotine and alcohol, which have shown to be just as addicted as illegal narcotics with similar withdrawal effects, are perfectly legal. When a drug is abused over time, such as methadone, or amphetamines, they create an altered euphoric state of mind that messes with the brain. These drugs can actually force the brain to become more dependent on elevated levels of various brain chemicals that it cannot produce on its own without drugs. See how these drugs can become addictive? What tragically happens often is that a drug abuser will go get treatment and get clean, then they go back to the original amounts of drugs they were abusing before and end up dying from an overdose. Many of these drugs can be created from household products like cough syrup and bleach. Or, they can be prescriptions from a doctor that end up getting overused and abused. The drug market has become one of the most dangerous businesses to get into, as numerous gangs and mafias use drugs to make money and fund their other illegal activities. The rise in the use of drugs inspired the United States to create the D.A.R.E. program, as well as create ads such as the iconic commercial of a girl happily singing a song while displaying clear effects of using meth. If you haven’t done a search on what people look like before and after drugs, then you will be astounded as to how much drugs can change a person’s appearance, let alone their mental state and brain function. For example, cocaine creates an extreme high that lasts for about 15-20 minutes and gives the brain an overload of dopamine. This overload causes the brains natural dopamine receptors to shut down. What ends up happening is that once the high is over, the body will start to crave more and more, and thus, beginning a cocaine addiction that is hard to shake. The same effect happens in crack cocaine as well, which is a free form version of regular cocaine. However, if there is one drug that is the absolute worse to get addicted to, then it is definitely heroin. It is considered to be one of the most addictive drugs ever created. It causes the brain to release 100 times the amount of dopamine than an orgasm, and creates a euphoric and numb high that can last longer than other drugs. Heroin will actually force the body to start needing it and craving it, and the withdrawals to the drug are one of the worst of its kind with sickness that can last for weeks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Featuring: AMPHETAMINES BENZODIAZEPINES METHADONE GHB NICOTINE ALCOHOL COCAINE CRACK COCAINE CRYSTAL METH HEROIN ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/

Stress 2. Excessive caffeine 3. Bone broth and whey protein (and even L-Glutamine 4. MSG (monosodium glutamate) hidden in lots of foods – sauces 5. Artificial sweeteners (aspartame, saccharine) 6. Excess protein 7. Keto-friendly deserts (excessive xylitol) Hey guys, I want to create an important video on this 7 surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis. You may know the typical things like sugar and refined carbohydrates but these are the things that you may not know that are important. Stress can kick you out of ketosis because stress activates a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol is the main adrenal hormone that adapts the body to stress. So any type of stress, shock to the system, surgery, trauma, allergies and even the loss of the love ones can activate stress, stress in your job or relationship stress could actually knock you out of ketosis. Next one is the excessive caffeine, one cup of coffee is not going to do anything but if you are doing coffee or tea all day long with caffeine too much of that can activate adrenaline which can then activate insulin. Bone broth in large quantities, a little bit of bone broth is not going to be an issue, I’m talking about protein. Protein can bump you out. I am not too concerned about bone broth, even when you are fasting it may knock you out a little bit but it is a very small amounts. Whey proteins is one of the top proteins, because it is a low fat and is a high protein that will stimulate insulin and knock you out with ketosis. L-Glutamine, people take that for their digestive system and they can get irritable bowel syndrome, it is a protein and can knock you out in ketosis. I am not concerned about you taking that because it really helps you in a certain ways, it is not going to put weight on but the only reason that I’m bringing it up is if you test yourself and all of the sudden it knocks you out, don’t be concerned if that’s what doing it, it is a temporary thing but it will knock you out. And then we have MSG, Monosodium glutamate another name for that is modified food starch. It is in so many foods, it is easy to avoid if you are shopping but it is very hard to avoid if you are going out to restaurants because they have it in the sauces, dressings, in some of the flavor enhancers, any food that just taste too good typically has MSG on it especially if it is a fast-food restaurant. The next one, artificial sweeteners Aspartame, Splenda - that has actual dextrin, saccharine and Maltodextrin. I'm going to list out foods that are fasting-safe, or should I say drinks, and things that are fasting-safe. But, then I'm going to list out things that are no-gos, things that will definitely break a fast. I'm going to give you a little bit of the science, too. Then I'm going to talk about the gray area. What I mean by gray area is there are going to be things that may or may not break a fast. It's still undecided. The jury is still out. I'll give you my honest opinion on it, so you can take it for what it's worth. But first off, let's go ahead and let's talk about a couple of things that are good to go while you're fasting. First and foremost, we know that good, old-fashioned H2O is good to go. Unless you're doing a dry fast, water is not going to cause a problem. You're good to go. Kind of an obvious one. The next one I want to talk about, green tea. Very powerful, that epigallocatechin-3-gallate, that EGCG, is really powerful. Allows your body to mobilize fats quite a bit better, so it's a very good thing to be drinking while you're fasting. Then, we've got coffee, of course. Coffee will not break a fast as long as it's black. Totally good to go. Again, the caffeine mobilizing fatty acids. You're good there. It's going to help expedite the process of fasting. It's going to help expedite glycogen removal, or should I say, storage, that the carbs and the glycogen and the glucose isn't in your bloodstream anymore. It goes into the muscles. We definitely want that, so that's powerful. Here's a kind of a weird one. It's going to be most teas, black, green, or whatever, but I have to say this now, certain herbal teas with fruit. You see some herbal teas out there, the have little chunks of apple, they have little chunks of berries that are dehydrated. You're getting the fructose from those fruits, so I would highly recommend staying away from those. That's a no-go. So then, back to the fasting-safe, now we've got different sodas that I want to talk about. Zevia, for one, I've talked about this in a video. That's a soda that's sweetened with Stevia, so you're good to go there. And, as much as I hate to say this, I'm going to go on the record by saying I don't think that aspartame is good. I don't think it's healthy, but a lot of people ask. Diet Coke, diet sodas, you're going to be okay. Aspartame doesn't technically break a fast. So, you're okay there. I just don't think it's the best thing to do, but I know that a lot of you are wondering that, so I'm going to go ahead and say it. When we look at any kind of carbonated beverage, you're usually good to go, so I'm just going to say carbonated water, carbonated H2O, sparkling beverages, things like that. People also always ask about vaping, because there's oil, and you're ingesting the vape. Does vaping break a fast? Generally, no. You're not swallowing the oil, you're inhaling it. What I will say is that vape, the nicotine that is usually in vape, just like smoking, affects your electron transport chain. It affects NADH. That's why you get a high from it. That's why you get a buzz. The jury is still a little bit out on whether not not nicotine technically would constitute breaking a fast, but for the sake of the metabolic function of a fast, you're okay. I'm going to leave this here for now. There might be one or two more that I add, but I want to start going over the things that will break a fast. I already talked about herbal teas that have fruit in them. Now, the big one, guys. MCT oil and powder. I love that stuff and it's great for keto, but it does break a fast. There's still eight calories per gram. Unlike most fats that are nine calories per gram, MCTs only have eight. It's a little bit different. They still are digested. They still elicit a metabolic response. It's still food. It's still calories. If you have a couple of tablespoons of MCT oil, you're still looking at a couple hundred calories. That's definitely not fasting, okay? So, MCT oil does. So does coconut oil. Same kind of thing. You've got to be careful there.

Antidepressants Mixing alcohol with antidepressants is a big no-no for several reasons. First, it can counteract the effects of the medication, making you feel more anxious or depressed. Antidepressants Getty Images Second, it has the potential to impair your alertness, coordination, and judgement. Finally, it may increase the risk of side effects associated with the medication. Exercise Getty Images In one study, researchers saw a rehydration benefit when athletes drank beer instead of water. But drinking a beer after a workout isn't as amazing as it sounds. Exercise Getty Images Exercise Some of the main effects of alcohol on the body are slowing your metabolism and hindering muscle growth and repair. Beer is absolutely not what you need after a long run or lifting session. It's much better to stick to water or sports drinks. Marijuana Getty Images Marijuana Both alcohol and marijuana affect your motor skills and your judgment, and both can make you feel sedated. In combining the two, you are creating an additive effect, which makes these side effects double. Marijuana Marijuana In addition to these side effects, the combination of marijuana and alcohol can also cause nausea and vomiting. Drunk Dialing, Texting, or Posting Drunk Dialing, Texting, or Posting Look, we've all been there--texted someone we shouldn't or posted something we regret when we look in the morning. If you really mean it, you can always send your message in the morning, when you're sober! Drunk Dialing, Texting, or Posting Drunk Dialing, Texting, or Posting Save yourself that moment of anxiety and embarrassment and just don't post, dial or text while drinking! Over-the-Counter Sleep Medications Over-the-Counter Sleep Medications Over-the-counter sleep medication side effects include drowsiness the following day, impairing your ability to drive or think coherently. Mixing alcohol with taking over-the-counter sleep aids can make these side effects much more intense. Pain Relievers Getty Images Pain Relievers If you're using a pain reliever that contains acetaminophen, ibuprofen or aspirin, you may want to avoid drinking. Mixing the two can drastically increase the risk of kidney disease and liver damage. Pain Relievers Getty Images Pain Relievers The combination of alcohol and pain relievers can also lead to irritation and bleeding of the stomach and intestines. Energy Drinks Energy Drinks Fatigue when drinking alcohol is your body's way of telling you it has had enough. Downing an energy drink will mask the effects of alcohol and give you a sense of stimulation, sometimes causing you to drink more than you would have otherwise. Energy Drinks Energy Drinks Mixing these drinks can also cause irregular heart palpitations and sleeping problems. Sex Sex Though some may scoff at this, there's no denying that alcohol impairs your judgment, making you less likely to make smart decisions regarding sex. Alcohol may make you more likely to have sex with someone you don't like and to take fewer precautions, possibly leading to venereal diseases and unwanted pregnancies.

Watch more Boot Camp: Learn about Basic Training videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/498618-Can-You-Take-Prescriptions-Boot-Camp "Welcome to the first and only episode of ""What About My Prescription?"". I'm your host Sgt. Volkin, and in this episode I'll be fielding questions from a fake audience today. Alright, thank you very much. So, what will happen if you bring your prescription medicines to Basic Training? Very easy answer. It's going to be taken away from you. If you require medication you most likely won't get passed MEPS, or the Medical Entrance Processing Station. Once you're at Basic Training and you need to obtain medicine, you can go to Sick Hall and get it there. Sick Hall's not that much fun though. If the medication is strong enough that you can overdose, you're going to have to take the medication with your Drill Sargeant, and that usually comes with contingencies like doing push-ups so that's not fun. So, let's go ahead and go to the questions from our fake audience. Question number one: ""Can I bring my birth control with me to Basic Training""? The answer is 'No' Question number two: ""Can I bring my asthma inhaler?"" The answer is 'No' In fact, you can't even get into the military with asthma, so the answer is still 'No'. Question number three: ""Can I bring my heartburn pills?"" The answer is 'No'. Another question from our fake audience is ""Can I bring my heart-worm medication?"" Not unless you're a canine and if you're a canine, you can't get into the military, so the answer is 'No'. Another question: ""Can I bring my Viagra?"" 'No', not sure why you're going to want to bring that to Basic Training anyway. Thank you for joining me on the series premier and the final episode of ""What About My Prescription?"""

Codeine is an opioid found naturally in Papaver somniferum, the opium poppy. It's somewhat misleading to call it an opioid since codeine primarily functions as a prodrug, offering little of its own activity. Morphine seems to be its primary active metabolite. The drug is typically a controlled substance, yet it may also be available over-the-counter (OTC) in certain combinations. Its name comes from the Greek word "kodeia," which means "poppy head." Medically, codeine is used as an analgesic, antitussive, and antidiarrheal. It's also taken recreationally, often at higher doses. Still day 2. The following are medications and doses I recommend. But that being said again I am no doctor. Just someone who's been here many many times and knows a lot about these medications. If you do have questions the safest bet is to contact your doctor. Any doctor. .1 mg clonodine. .1-.2 mg 2-3 times a day depending on severity of symptoms. I currently only use this at night as it makes me so so weak and tired. It's a blood pressure med and old school bit of withdrawal arsenal. I wouldn't take for more then a week due to possible rebound hypertension. .25-1 mg xanax, or whatever benzo. Don't substitute one addiction for another!!! Use sparingly, and only at night if possible. Don't use for more then a few days if possible. 50 mg trazodone. Old school med used for a variety of things including most commonly depression and insomnia. Some people need a higher dose. 100 mg is really good for me. I wouldn't go higher then 150 mg ever. Above meds are prescription meds that most doctors will give you for opiate withdrawal. 15-30 mg loperamide(Imodium) every 6-8 hours if needed. Or every 12-24 as needed. Dose can be higher or lower depending on severity of addiction. People have become dependent on this. This honestly is only something I do if I have no other option. With the prescriptions that I have during this detox the loperamide isn't usually needed. Last resort...So again don't substitute addictions!! In high doses it can almost completely eliminate w/d for some people. And some only need the loperamide. I personally only take this for a day or two and taper my last couple doses down. As I believe having a BM is better then not, to continue to clean you out. (Please note high doses taken for a long period, or even a short period can prolong the length of your w/d, similar to the way a Suboxone taper would.. So this choice is entirely up to you. Taken as directed will at least help with diarrhea). Other helpful meds and things: ibuprofen. Ginger. Fish oil. Multivitamins. Healthy food. Hot baths and showers. Exercise. Magnesium. Epsom salt. Electrolytes. Sugar and caffeine at times. Marijuana. Distraction. Distraction. Distraction. If I can do this after over a decade. You can to. Do your research. Listen to people's stories of recovery. Find and keep a hobby. Anything. Get your soul back. ❤️

Cbd also known as cannabadiol, is a non-psychoactive (it won't make you feel high) compound found in cannabis. It is one of over 60 different compounds present in cannabis. CBD is usually present in cannabis in high concentrations along with THC (the compound in cannabis that is psychoactive and makes you feel high). It’s non-psychoactive because of its lack of affinity and attraction for CB1 receptors (the receptors that cause one to experience a cerebral high). There are two types of cannabinoid receptors in the human body; CB1 and CB2. Both are naturally found throughout the body but are most common in the brain and immune system. CB1 receptors are responsible for marijuana’s psychoactive effects. These receptors affect memory, mood, sleep, appetite and pain sensation. CB2 receptors have anti-inflammatory effects and are found in immune cells. Cbd does have a great affinity and or attraction for CB2 receptors making it a great natural anti-inflammatory and immune system enhancer. Cbd benefits?
