No Caffeine Day 2 - Caffeine and High Blood Pressure
Hey Guys, This is my Day 2 of no coffeine! I also discuss how caffeine can cause or affect high blood pressure. First off, today went pretty good. Got off work early so wasnt tempted to drink soda. Me and my wife grabbed some breakfast burritos and came home to relax. Was a little uncomfortable because I would usually have my 2 cups of coffee with my breakfast while watching my morning sports shows, but i got through it ok. One of the effects of caffeine is that it can have an impact on your blood pressure. If you are a daily caffeine consumer, then it wont raise your blood pressure significantly. This generally happens to those who rarely drink caffeinated drinks like coffee, energy drinks, soda, or energy shots. If you already suffer from high blood pressure or hypertension, have had a heart attack or stroke, or suffer from another type of heart disease, then limiting or cutting caffeine out of your like all together might be the best option. Even a small raise in blood pressure can cause problems for someone who has hypertension. Caffeine and Blood Pressure Q&A - What Are The Effects?
Do you feel a sudden surge in your blood pressure when you take your daily dose of caffeine? http://goo.gl/L5Ae0f - Yes, it is proven that caffeine consumption results in increasing blood pressure. But, how? There can be various causes. Caffeine is said to block the hormone needed to keep the arteries wide resulting in narrow arteries and difficulty in pumping the blood by the heart. This leads to increasing and unnatural heartbeats because heart's natural function is being tampered with. It also holds true that caffeine enhances adrenalin release, which gives your body a high, and your heartbeats go up. If all this is left untreated, it can lead to kidney and artery damage, heart problems and even brain damage. A doctor will always suggest that you eliminate caffeine from your routine if you want your healthy body back. WARNING: Why Caffeine Is Horrible For Your Health & Hormones
A scientifically researched and natural solution for increasing your energy levels WITHOUT using caffeine: 👉👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Natural-Energy-Booster Or discover the worst energy supplement for your health: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-0c7CTy6Sg =============================================== WARNING: Why Caffeine Is Horrible For Your Health & Hormones =============================================== #caffeine Most of you aren’t going to like today’s topic, because most people consume daily, the most abused drug on the planet and that’s caffeine. And YES, caffeine is a drug. So powerful that Coca Cola’s original ingredient contained cocaine and they needed a replacement for it and the substitute was and still is, caffeine! Whether it’s your morning or daily coffee and tea, the usual “energy drinks”, sodas, pre-workout products or dozens of other “energy” stimulatory products that contain caffeine. In fact, most people can’t seem to start the day without getting their “caffeine hit”. The problem with caffeine is that it “burns out” your Central Nervous System and causes numerous, negative changes in your hormones, which ultimately accelerates aging. The negative changes in hormones are: Increase in stress hormones, such as cortisol -- this means more belly fat. Decrease in testosterone -- this means less muscle and lower libido. Decrease in growth hormone & IGF -- more fat, accelerated aging. Decrease in thyroid hormones (T3) -- slower metabolism and fat gain. Decrease in adrenal hormones -- DHEA, pregnenolone, etc. Decrease in melatonin -- sleep and anti-aging hormone. Increase in estrogen -- breast cancer, gynecomastia (“Man Boobs”), irregular menstruation Higher blood sugar and insulin insensitivity -- more fat, less muscle, diabetes, etc. Another major issue is neurological in that it causes issues by decreasing dopamine release and dopamine receptor sensitivity -- both are bad because it decreases happiness and can cause parkinson's. It also causes a decrease in another neurotransmitter, serotonin. This means again, less happiness, more worry, stress, anxiety and panic. Other health problems that are non-hormonal Oxidative stress and inflammation -- related to numerous health problems, aches and pains PH imbalance (more acidic) -- acid reflux, osteoporosis, gut bacterium imbalances Insomnia & poor sleep (shallow REM sleep) -- cause of too many health problems and hormonal imbalances. High blood pressure Honestly, I can go on and on. And trust me when I tell you that when I take a little bit of caffeine, I feel AMAZING. I honestly do. I’m happy, very productive and just more focused. But I’ve done so many tests with it and no matter what I do, within a few days my body adapts, I need to increase the dose, my hormones start to change for the worst -- as does my sleep. And people who I’ve tested who habitually consume caffeine daily, for years and years (like most of us) -- trust me, they have a lot of health issues. BUT NOT ONCE, will a doctor say “get off the caffeine, it’s killing you”. This is because nobody even thinks of caffeine as a drug. And “every does it”. Remember, it’s a very potent drug and works in many ways, the same as Cocaine. And both are “natural” and found in “nature”. But they are not to be consumed in highly concentrated sources, like we do in modern society. Anyway, like I said -- I really like how I feel on caffeine, I just don’t like to deal with the negatives - especially the hormonal imbalances. So, what does this mean? Because I know right now most people are thinking “umm… no way am I gonna stop my caffeine, I love my coffee, etc., etc.” Yeah, I get it. However, the good news is that there are much safer, healthier and even better solutions -- natural herbs, plant extracts and amino acids that will give you all the energy and focus you need, but without any of the negative side-effects that I’ve mentioned today. No crash. No negative hormonal changes. Plus, they are actually GOOD for your health -- body AND especially mind. Better for memory, cognition and mood. They actually help improve your hormones and neurotransmitters. They have anti-aging benefits, especially for your mind. ======================================== Subscribe to Dr.Sam Robbins's official Youtube channel http://drsam.co/yt/subscribe Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DrSamRobbins ========================================= Thanks DrSamRobbins

Is coffee bad for you ? Shocking Side Effect of Coffee | Caffeine | Bad Effect of Coffee
Is coffee bad for you ? Shocking Side Effect of Coffee | Caffeine | bad Effect of Coffee.. Coffee is safe for most adults. Drinking more than 6 cups/day might cause “caffeinism” with symptoms such as anxiety or agitation. People who drink a lot of coffee every day may need to drink more coffee to get the same effects. They may also become “dependent” on coffee to the point that they develop withdrawal symptoms if they suddenly stop drinking it. Here are 10 side effects of coffee. 1.Pre3 gnancy Caffeinated coffee is probably safe for pregnant women in amounts of 2 cups per day or less. This amount of coffee provides about 200 mg of caffeine. However, drinking more than this amount has been linked to an increased risk of miscarriage, premature birth, and low birth weight. These risks increase as the amount of coffee the mother drinks during pregnancy increases. 2.b*ea*t-feeding. Drinking 1 or 2 of cups of coffee per day seems to be safe for breast-feeding mothers and their infants. But the caffeine in larger amounts can irritate a nursing infant’s digestive tract and also cause sleep problems and irritability. 3.Children. It may be unsafe for children to drink caffeinated coffee. The side effects associated with caffeine are usually more severe in children than adults. 4.Ble 3ding disorders. There is some concern that coffee might make bleeding disorders worse. 5.Heart disease. Drinking unfiltered (boiled) coffee increases the amount of cholesterol and other fats in the blood, and also raises the level of homocysteine, all of which are associated with an increased risk of developing heart disease. Some research suggests an association between heart attacks and drinking coffee. 6.Diabetes. Some research suggests that caffeine contained in coffee might change the way people with diabetes process sugar. Caffeine has been reported to cause increases as well as decreases in blood sugar. Use caffeine with caution if you have diabetes and monitor your blood sugar carefully. 7.Diarrhea. Coffee contains caffeine. The caffeine in coffee, especially when taken in large amounts, can worsen diarrhea. 8.Glaucoma . Drinking caffeinated coffee increases pressure inside the eye. The increase starts within 30 minutes and lasts for at least 90 minutes. 9.High blood pressure . Drinking caffeinated coffee might increase blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. However, this effect might be less in people who drink coffee regularly. 10.Thinning bones (osteoporosis) . Drinking caffeinated coffee can increase the amount of calcium that is flushed out in the urine. This might weaken bones. If you have osteoporosis, limit caffeine consumption to less than 300 mg per day (approximately 2-3 cups of coffee). Taking calcium supplements may help to make up for calcium that is lost. Postmenopausal women who have an inherited condition that keeps them from processing vitamin D normally, should be especially cautious when using caffeine. Coffee might be unsafe when given rectally as an enema. Coffee enemas have been linked to cases of severe side effects including death. -------------------------------------------- Images are licensed under CC, ------------------------------------------- Blog : https://webhealthremedy.blogspot.com/ Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/Health-Remed... However, the substance has side effects especially when it is taken beyond the body's requirements. Caffeine doesn't have any nutritional content and it has no taste. Caffeine is a substance that is naturally obtained from plants and it can be artificially produced as well. Lots of plant seeds contain caffeine like kola nut and coffee beans. ☕ The Major Health Problem With Energy Drinks and Caffeine
An “all-in-one” formula for instantly increasing your energy levels and improving memory naturally: 🤜 http://drsam.co/yt/BoostYourEnergy ======================================= ☕ The Major Health Problem With Energy Drinks and Caffeine ======================================= Unfortunately, Energy Drinks Are HORRIBLE For Your Health Do they taste good? Yes… but that’s because they either have lots of sugar (over 60 grams and 250 calories worth). Or the sugar-free ones are loaded with toxic artificial sweeteners. Are they healthy for you? Nope! Just because they contain a few vitamins, doesn’t mean they are healthy. Secondly, they make your body very acidic which is known to cause cancer and accelerate aging.9 Energy drinks are linked to many health problems, but these are the big ones in my opinion: Heart problems — cardiac arrest1, high blood pressure2, decreased arterial health1 and more. Physical problems — headaches, migraines, insomnia5, arthritis3, addictive, type 2 diabetes6, erectile dysfunction and poor blood flow11. Emotional problems — anxiety, panic attacks, nervousness, and depression.7 Do they give you energy? Yes they do, but that’s because of the massive dose of CAFFEINE they contain! That’s 3-4 cups of strong coffee. Trust me, take out the caffeine and there is no “energy” in these drinks. As you can see, there are lots of problems with energy drinks, but … The WORST Problem Of All The WORST problem with energy drinks is the caffeine consumption and the negative change in your hormones due to the RISE in your “stress hormone” called, cortisol! The elevation in this stress hormone is the cause of many of the above mentioned negative effects. Why We Like Caffeine So Much So, why do you or anyone even take caffeine products?… You can have “decaf” coffee, tea or energy drinks. It tastes the same. At the end of the day, it’s simply because you like how the caffeine makes you FEEL. After all, it IS a drug! We like the temporary extra energy levels — both physical and mental. Additionally, caffeine temporarily increases dopamine levels slightly. Dopamine is known as the “pleasure chemical”. So, another reason caffeine makes us “happy”. However, after continued use (usually 7-10 days): -your adrenal glands become overworked, -cortisol levels increase, -dopamine receptors become desensitized -and caffeine is NO LONGER making you “energized and happy”… Many times you have mid-day “caffeine crash”, which means MORE caffeine (coffee, energy drinks, etc.). Thus, why it’s addictive. And when you get off, the opposite happens — you’re super tired, anxious and depressed! How To Increase Your Energy Levels & Feel Good, WITHOUT Caffeine! The good news is that with the correct combination of natural ingredients, you’ll get MANY MORE BENEFITS. When increasing your energy levels – you want to focus on BOTH physical and mental energy. Increase ATP & Mitochondria A common complaint among people, especially older adults is the loss of physical and mental energy. You can naturally increase these by taking Rhodiola Extract, NADH, CoQ10, PQQ and Acetyl-L-Carnitine. Improve Dopamine This is a neurotransmitter that regulates your mood and cognition/memory. It’s known as the anti-aging “pleasure chemical”. It gives you a natural “high”. You can naturally increase dopamine by using wild green oat extract, velvet bean extracts and L-Theanine Decrease Stress Hormones As stated earlier, caffeine increases (NOT what you want) your stress hormones and depletes your adrenal glands, which leads to fatigue, weight gain and depression. You can naturally decrease stress hormones and improve your memory by taking Bacopa and Ashwagandha extract, Phosphyatidylserine and Tyrosine. Increase Acetylcholine & Oxygen Proper acetylcholine function is essential to muscle control, sleep, and cognition… and the prevention of dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.12 Additionally, increasing oxygen to your cells – both brain and muscle, will dramatically increase your energy levels and slow the aging process.13-16 To increase acetylcholine – you can take Alpha-GPC, Choline and Huperzine-A. And to improve oxygen to your cells, you should take Ginkgo Biloba and Vinpocetine. Total Body & Brain Energy Remember, your goal is to increase your energy levels to BOTH your body (muscles) and brain (neurotransmitters), while reducing the aging process at the same time. ======================================== Thank you for watching. 7 Facts About Coffee You Probably Didn’t Know
How to drink coffee the right way and healthy? Why is coffee good for you? Here are 7 surprising reasons why you need to get yourself a cup of coffee right now. TIMESTAMPS Coffee boosts brainpower 0:40 Coffee increases blood pressure 1:46 Coffee makes your immune system stronger 2:24 Coffee relieves a headache 3:16 Coffee reduces stress 3:51 Coffee improves your memory 4:40 Coffee helps you lose weight 5:30 An amazing coffee cocktail recipe 6:06 SUMMARY - Coffee with sugar can turn you into a little genius for a while because the combination of caffeine and glucose activates certain sectors of your brain. The caffeine in coffee acts as a mild stimulant to the central nervous system. This neuronal activity triggers the release of the adrenaline, that will affect your body in several ways: your heartbeat increases, blood pressure rises, breathing tubes open up, sugar is released into the bloodstream for extra energy. - You might want to keep off the coffee if you are going to have a blood pressure test within the next 2 days. If you have high blood pressure, ask your doctor whether you should limit or stop drinking caffeinated beverages. - Coffee is known for its energy-boosting caffeine effect -- is an abundant source of nutrients and healthful chemicals that can aid your immune system. According to scientists from several countries, coffee reduces the risk of premature death. This is because coffee alters your immune system, making it stronger and healthier. - The caffeine can cure headaches and migraines. People are aware that caffeine is found in coffee, tea, soft drinks and chocolate, but may not know that caffeine is also contained in a variety of over the counter medications. That’s why it’s an ingredient in a lot of traditional pain relievers. - Coffee acts well as an anti-stress substance due to the release of dopamine and serotonin, which "trigger" a good mood. One cup, or even just the smell of coffee, can calm your nerves. This could explain a lower risk of depression among coffee drinkers. - Coffee can positively affect mood, enhance alertness, and memory abilities. The stimulators and neuro-mediators obtained from coffee not only boost your mood and productivity but also improve your memory. Of course, this only works with your short-term memory. - Coffee can keep off and help you lose excess weight. It can temporarily suppress your appetite and may stimulate minimal calorie burning. When the level of the hormone leptin is low, your body starts storing fat, and you gain weight. Coffee, however, increases the hormone levels in your body. BONUS If you're looking for something sweet to pair your milk, this cocktail recipe is a must. It is deliciously smooth and refreshing and, if bottled, ready to take on the go. • Make your favorite coffee. • Let it cool off, then fill an ice cube tray with the coffee. • Place it in the freezer. On a hot day, add the coffee cubes to a glass of milk. Sip a delicious mix and feel wonderful! Share the video with your friends to keep them caffeinated and hit the like button below the video! How To Reduce High Blood Pressure Naturally | How To Prevent High Blood Pressure Naturally
How To Reduce Blood Pressure | How To Prevent Blood Pressure | How To Lower High Blood Pressure | Lifestyle | Diet Hey, guys! This weeks video is about high blood pressure and how you can prevent getting it with simple yet effective lifestyle changes. Healthcare professionals refer to high blood pressure as the silent killer and for a good reason! High blood pressure increases risks of many diseases and shortens your life significantly. WHAT IS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: Blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg) and is given as two figures: Systolic pressure – The pressure when your heart pushes blood out. Diastolic pressure – The pressure when your heart rests between beats. As a general guide: High blood pressure is considered to be 140/90mmHg or higher (or an average of 135/85mmHg at home) Ideal blood pressure is considered to be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg Low blood pressure is considered to be 90/60mmHg or lower. A blood pressure reading between 120/80mmHg and 140/90mmHg could mean you're at risk of developing high blood pressure if you don't take steps to keep your blood pressure under control. HOW TO PREVENT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: High blood pressure can often be prevented or reduced by eating healthily, maintaining a healthy weight, taking regular exercise, drinking alcohol in moderation and not smoking. SALT & DIET: Cut down on the amount of salt in your food and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. The NHS Eatwell Guide highlights the different types of food that make up our diet, and shows the proportions we should eat them in to have a well-balanced and healthy diet. Salt raises your blood pressure. The more salt you eat, the higher your blood pressure. Aim to eat less than 6g (0.2oz) of salt a day, which is about a teaspoonful. Eating a low-fat diet that includes lots of fibre – such as wholegrain rice, bread and pasta – and plenty of fruit and vegetables also helps lower blood pressure. Aim to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day. Eatwell guide link: https://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/Pages/the-eatwell-guide.aspx ALCOHOL INTAKE: Regularly drinking alcohol above recommended limits can raise your blood pressure over time. Staying within these recommended levels is the best way to reduce your risk of developing high blood pressure: Men and women are advised not to regularly drink more than 14 units a week. Spread your drinking over three days or more if you drink as much as 14 units a week. Find out how many units are in your favourite drink and get tips on cutting down: https://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/alcohol/Pages/alcohol-units.aspx GET ACTIVE & LOSE WEIGHT: Being active and taking regular exercise lowers blood pressure by keeping your heart and blood vessels in good condition. Regular exercise can also help you lose weight, which will also help lower your blood pressure. Adults should do at least 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) of moderate-intensity aerobic activity such as cycling or fast walking every week. CUT DOWN CAFFEINE: Drinking more than four cups of coffee a day may increase your blood pressure. If you're a big fan of coffee, tea or other caffeine-rich drinks, such as cola and some energy drinks, consider cutting down. STOP SMOKING: Smoking doesn't directly cause high blood pressure, but it puts you at much higher risk of a heart attack and stroke. Smoking, like high blood pressure, will cause your arteries to narrow. If you smoke and have high blood pressure, your arteries will narrow much more quickly, and your risk of heart or lung disease in the future is dramatically increased. SLEEP: Long-term sleep deprivation is associated with a rise in blood pressure and an increased risk of hypertension. It's a good idea to try to get at least six hours of sleep a night if you can. High blood pressure: Drinking this every day drink could raise your BP reading
If you're new, Subscribe! → https://bit.ly/2sH1zbw  High blood pressure is a reading over 140/90 mmHg, which can be measured by your GP or with an at-home blood pressure monitor. You can find out your blood pressure by measuring the levels in both arms using a monitor. Several items in your diet can raise blood pressure, including eating too much salt. Drinking caffeine-laden drinks, such as coffee, can also raise your blood pressure. The Mayo Clinic says you should test your blood pressure 30 minutes after drinking a beverage containing caffeine, to find out whether it had an effect.  “Caffeine can cause a short, but dramatic increase in your blood pressure, even if you don’t have high blood pressure,” said the Mayo Clinic online. “It’s unclear what causes this spike in blood pressure, but it can raise levels by up to 10 mmHg.” “However, if you drink coffee regularly you may experience little or no effect on your blood pressure from caffeine.” The Mayo Clinic says that if your blood pressure has been raised by five to 10 mmHg after drinking caffeine, you may be sensitive to its blood pressure raising effects. “Talk to your doctor about the effects of caffeine on your blood pressure,” they added. Although drinking caffeine-laden drinks can raise your blood pressure, this is only temporary and is unlikely to cause long term problems.  The NHS said online if you want to reduce your BP reading, you should “cut down on caffeine”. “Drinking more than four cups of coffee a day may increase your blood pressure,” said the national healthcare provider. “If you’re a big fan of coffee, tea or other caffeine-rich drinks, such as cola and some energy drinks, consider cutting down. “It’s fine to drink tea and coffee as part of a balanced diet. “However, it’s important that these drinks are not your main or only source of fluid.” There is evidence caffeine may block hormones which widen arteries and causes more adrenaline to be released, both of which can an increase in your blood pressure. Caffeine is found in several drinks including coffee, tea and fizzy beverages. Cutting the substance out of your diet could help lower your blood pressure. You can also achieve this by adding certain foods to your diet. Eating more kiwifruit is one way to help reduce blood pressure.

Decaf Coffee: Healthy or Unhealthy?
Subscribe to our free science-based videos: http://bit.ly/anvideos Decaf is short for decaffeinated coffee. It's coffee from coffee beans that have had at least 97% of their caffeine removed. So it's not completely caffeine free. There are many safe ways to remove caffeine from raw coffee beans. Most of them include water, organic solvents or carbon dioxide. This process leaves the nutritional value of decaf similar to regular coffee, apart from the caffeine content. So there's no issues with the caffeine removal process itself, but how does the end product compare to the health benefits of regular coffee? Regular coffee is the biggest source of antioxidants in the Western diet, more than we get from fruits and vegetables combined. Antioxidants are molecules thought to help protect against numerous lifestyle diseases, such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease. STUDY: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20664622 Decaf usually contains similar amounts of antioxidants to regular coffee, although some studies have found levels can be up to 15% lower due to losses in the decaffeination process. Despite this potential small drop in antioxidants, numerous studies have found strong associations between decaf coffee consumption and health benefits. STUDIES: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23193459, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24459154 Drinking coffee, both regular and decaf, has been linked with reduced risk of type 2 diabetes. Each daily cup may reduce the risk up to 7%. STUDY: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25124935 The effects of decaf on liver function are not as well studied as regular coffee, but one large observational study linked decaf with reduced liver enzyme levels, which suggests a protective effect. STUDY: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18559841 Drinking decaf has also been linked with a small but significant reduction in the risk of premature death, as well as death from stroke or heart disease. STUDIES: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22353630, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19028509 Both regular and decaf coffee also seem to have positive effects on age-related mental decline, with human cell studies showing decaf may protect neurons in the brain. This could help prevent the development of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Where regular coffee has the greatest edge over decaf is all the health effects associated with caffeine, obviously. Things like improved energy, mood, metabolic rate, and athletic performance. But otherwise decaf coffee is still a great choice if you are sensitive to caffeine or have a medical condition that will benefit from a caffeine-restricted diet. It's perfectly safe and carries most of the same benefits as regular coffee, just without the caffeine side effects. Caffeine: How to Beat Withdrawals- Thomas DeLauer
http://ThomasDeLauer.com Click here to subscribe to my YouTube Channel for more free health and nutrition tips: https://www.youtube.com/thetdelauer?sub_confirmation=1 Get The Clothes That I Wear at 40% Off - Use Code TD40 at http://www.Hylete.com Caffeine: How to Beat Withdrawals- Thomas DeLauer… How it Works and Tolerance: Caffeine is molecularly similar to that of adenosine, a molecule that builds up and causes you to feel tired - builds up throughout the day and is depleted during sleep; adenosine thus facilitates sleep and dilates the blood vessels, probably to ensure good oxygenation during sleep. So, when you ingest caffeine, the molecules bind to the receptors in the brain normally used by adenosine. Caffeine Is an adenosine-receptor antagonist; meaning it binds to the same receptors, but does not slow down neural activity. In other words, once caffeine is locked to adenosine's receptors, there’s no place for adenosine to accumulate – Which prevents it from building up and making you sleepy. All of the extra adenosine that’s floating around causes the adrenal glands to secrete adrenaline - so it increases your attention level and boosts energy. Also, it increases the production of dopamine in the brain’s pleasure circuits, giving you that feel-good sensation. Caffeine is not a direct stimulant, but rather a stimulant enabler; lets our natural stimulants run amuck - usually lasts from 4-6 hours. The blocking of adenosine receptors by caffeine causes your brain to produce more and more receptors to make up for them - this means that you’ll have to keep upping your caffeine intake in order to bind to all the new receptors (1,2) According to a study published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation, caffeine tolerance occurred after just 1-4 days among their study participants. They measured this by noting the increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, and plasma epinephrine levels - After 1-4 days these levels were back to their baseline. (3) Withdrawals: Caffeine causes vasoconstriction, but when we go through a withdrawal, a re-widening of the vessels increases blood flow to the brain, leading to a withdrawal headache (4,6) Reduce Withdrawals: Caffeine withdrawal symptoms typically begin within 12 to 24 hours after discontinuing caffeine, peaking during the first two days, and can last all the way up to day nine - however, those that consume incredibly high doses of caffeine can experience symptoms for longer. Cold Turkey: Going cold turkey can be effective, however, it can be crippling to many and is not the ideal way to reduce withdrawals. Slowly Reduce Intake- Slowing reducing caffeine intake day by day is the preferred method - the slow withdrawal of caffeine from the body will eventually result in the decrease of the extra adenosine receptors. Common Solutions:- Replace caffeinated beverages with herbal teas to soothe symptoms and counteract dehydration, which can worsen headaches and withdrawal symptoms. Get extra sleep to combat fatigue and grogginess. Rutaecarpine: Rutaecarpine is an extract from the herb known as Evodea and has been shown to help rid the body of caffeine. A study published in the Archives of Pharmacal Research looked at rutaecarpine’s effect on caffeine metabolism in rats. Since mice and humans metabolize caffeine very similarly, the effects of rutaecarpine in regards to human caffeine metabolism are likely the same. The study found that rutaecarpine increases the metabolism of caffeine, theophylline, theobromine, and paraxanthine by inducing CYP1A2 (metabolism of xenobiotics; substances foreign to the body) and CYP2E1 in rats. Rutaecarpine speeds up the rate at which caffeine is broken down and removed from the body - cleansing caffeine from the body eliminates the side effects of caffeine much quicker (5) References: 1) THE BRAIN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. how to get rid of caffeine in your body | caffeine overdose symptoms
To start off, I just want to say that I absolutely love caffeine you guys. I love drinking coffee. Caffeine is a stimulant and the world’s most popular psychoactive drug, used to help people stay mentally alert. It works by blocking adenosine (a neurotransmitter that plays a role in sleep), which prevents drowsiness. Caffeine also stimulates the heart, muscles, and blood pressure control centers. That is why I limit my coffee consumption to just 3 days per week. I only drink coffee on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Okay well sometimes all drink it on Friday. LOL. I love coffee you guys. But I wont drink it 7 days a well. A common myth of caffeine is that it causes dehydration. This has been proven by studies that this a myth and does not cause dehydration. I have included the study in the description box for you guys. Let’s find out how much caffeine a day is healthy. Up to 400 mg of caffeine a day is safe for most healthy adults. That's the amount of caffeine in four cups of coffee, 10 cans of coke a cola or two "energy shot" drinks. An 8 oz of coffee can have anywhere from 95 to 200mg of caffeine. Insomnia, nervousness, restlessness, irritability, and increase rate are all symptoms of having too much caffeine. Chest pains and vomiting are severe symptoms and you should call the position control centre pronto. You will have a caffeine overdoes if you have over 400mg a day, everyone is going to be different though. Some people may experience these symptoms with less than 400mg a day. So just be careful with the amount of caffeine you are taking in per day. So how can we get rid of it from our body? Caffeine is fat-soluble, which helps it move through your body fast. Once you are feeling the ill effects of caffeine, it's already too late for water to help you. That’s not to say water won’t help at all, it definitely will. A study has shown that a way to come back down off of your caffeine high is to eat a diet rich in cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, etc.) this increased the CYP1A2 enzyme. In the description box I have put a link to a study on CYP1A2 and caffeine, it’s a good read. The only issue with eating Brussel sprouts and broccoli after you have had your caffeine offer does, is that our digestive system doesn’t work as quickly as we would like to think. For the body to actually break down the foods, its going to take around 8 hours or so, for us to actually get the enzymes we need. By that time the caffeine high will be done. The best way to get rid of the caffeine in your body is to drink water and eat vegetables, but just understand time is ultimately the best factor, just like in drinking alcohol. Caffeine and dehydration study description box- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4725310/ Caffeine and CYP1A2 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3381939/

9 Signs You're Drinking Too Much Coffee
How to know if you drink too much coffee? Yes, coffee can perk you up and bring you back to life when you wake up feeling sluggish. It also improves your mood and, at least for some time, boosts your physical and mental performance. But if you think that you can drink as much coffee as you want without harm to your health, you’re wrong! We’re gonna tell you what can happen if you drink too much coffee. TIMESTAMPS: Insomnia 2:18 Anxiety 3:10 Stomachache 4:03 Bowel problems 4:38 Racing heart 5:22 Headaches 6:33 Tiredness 7:31 Feeling depressed 8:36 Irritability 9:14 #caffeine #quitcoffee #insomnia Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Too much coffee can make it impossible for you to fall asleep when you actually want to; that is, at night. The Pros and Cons of Caffeine
Should I be drinking as much coffee as I am now? Is caffeine good or bad for me? All these questions are answered by the video. Thanks to AsapSCIENCE for the whiteboard idea! (You may need to turn the volume up. Sorry for the bad audio quality!) (You can use the captions if you need to. Just don't use the Auto-Generated English captions!) CREDITS Pulkit Gupta- Video Editor, Drawer Bradley Bolton- Narrator SCRIPT Caffeine Script Your brain is made tired by the neurotransmitter adenosine working as an inhibitory element when it binds to an adenosine receptor. But, caffeine will also bind to these receptors, preventing you from becoming tired. This will cause an increase in neuron firing, which the pituitary gland responds to by causing adrenal glands to produce adrenaline, causing you to be awake, and alert with that amazing boost of energy in the morning, or later in the day. While the effects seem helpful, a lack of moderation can come with some harmful side effects. You can develop insomnia, higher blood pressure, indigestion, headaches, more forceful heart contractions, anxiety, depression, and will have a greater risk of bone fractures. As you can see, caffeine has many cons. There are also many pros of caffeine if you use it right. As most morning coffee drinkers know, caffeine gives you alertness, attention, and concentration. It helps to have caffeine when you have a night shift or when you didn’t get enough sleep. Most pain relievers have very small amounts of caffeine in them to relieve vascular headaches, although too much caffeine can make your headache worse. Drinking coffee throughout your life reduces your risk of Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s because it improves memory performance. A moderate amount of caffeine is about 200-300 milligrams a day, which is around 3 cups of coffee a day if you want to gain the benefits of caffeine and not the bad side effects of it. You may want to limit coffee or give it up completely if you have sleep problems, high blood pressure, or chronic headaches. Caffeine can give you many health problems if you consume it too much, but it can furthermore help you stay alert if you consume just the right amount.
