KETO Diet Menu Plan to Lose Weight In Just 7 Days

12:29
Keto Diet Menu to Lose Weight Fast. The ketogenic diet has pretty much everything you need to get the body of your dreams in no time. Among the proven health benefits of this diet are weight loss, mental focus, increased energy, controlled blood sugar, stabilized blood pressure, and so many more. While this diet seems like a dream come true, not everyone can follow it. If you have diabetes or high blood pressure and take medication for your condition, the ketogenic diet isn’t for you. TIMESTAMPS How does the ketogenic diet work? 0:41 Different types of ketogenic diet. 2:11 Foods you should base your meals around. 3:15 Foods you should avoid. 3:59 7-day ketogenic meal plan 5:01 Unpleasant side effects you might face 10:09 Health benefits of ketogenic diet 10:51 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -When you follow the ketogenic diet, it becomes easier for your system to get access to your fat stores and burn them off. As a result, you lose weight incredibly fast. -There are actually a few versions you can choose from depending on your preferences: standard ketogenic diet, cyclical ketogenic diet, targeted ketogenic diet, high-protein ketogenic diet. -You should base the majority of your meals around these foods and ingredients: meat, fatty fish, pastured or omega-3 whole eggs, grass-fed butter and cream, unprocessed cheese, nuts and seeds, healthy oils, low-carb vegetables, healthy herbs and spices. -As for the foods you should avoid under any circumstances, they are: sugary foods, fruits, grains or starches, beans or legumes, root vegetables and tubers, products labelled “low-fat” or “diet”, unhealthy fat, alcohol. -Use this 7-day ketogenic meal plan as a model to build your own plan. The good news is that you can have coffee, cupcakes, bacon, sausage and other things you probably love as long as you balance it all up. -The biggest side effect is keto flu, the symptoms of which include poor energy and mental function, increased hunger, sleep issues, nausea, and digestive discomfort. -This diet can decrease the risk of developing heart disease by stabilizing blood sugar and blood pressure levels as well as increasing the “good cholesterol” in your blood. How To Lose Weight Fast and Easy (NO EXERCISE) - Weight Loss - Lifestyle - Healthy Diet - Abigale K

SEND ME YOUR WEIGHTLOSS BEFORE AND AFTERS: (preferably email me please) EMAIL: Contact@AbigaleKirsten (Please also mention your permission for me to use your photo as inspiration to others on all my online Links aka Twitter, Instagram, My Upcoming Website, Facebook, YouTube etc). We need your support and pictures to inspire others and be part of the motivation for the world. Credits: MUSIC : Jordan Sparks - One Step At A Time. (I do not own the music, tune, lyrics, or song). How To Lose Weight Fast & Easy w/ NO EXERCISE. PRECAUTIONS: + Green Tea can cause slight seizures, although he population that carries this rare symptom is rather less, it is still a duty to advise you on it. Before starting the Greentea/Oolong Tea abby diet, i prefer you have a cup or two and see if another amounts. + Green Tea can cause slight dizziness, feelings of vomiting, nausea, headache etc.. if you follow my steps exactly in the video you can very well avoid these symptoms easily. Do not take green tea for granted and drink more cups a day than I said, and do not have it on an empty stomach unless you have tried it once and had no reactions whatsoever (like me) in which cases when your in a rush to head off somewhere, those who can withstand it on an empty stomach, it is ok to do so, but do not do it everyday, and more than once in a day, even if you know you have or CAN handle it due to experience. MOST ASKED QUESTION - Whats My Height, Age, and Weight. Height: 161.5cm - 5ft 3inches - grew an inch after weight loss, was 5"2 all my life till 17. Age: May 05 1994 - Its 2014 - I Turned 20 this year :/ BYEBYE TEEN LIFE D: Weight: My weight Fluctuates every now and then, Mainly because I am a woman, and we do have weight fluctuations quite frequently, also my body *morph* type is prone to fluctuations. Iam currently 60-63kgs, but mostly stay at 61 & 62. 63 being the highest in the middle of my monthly's for the most. HOW MANY CALORIES SHOULD YOU EAT? I personally eat 1200 cals a day but thats for my height, This doesn't apply to everyone as all women come in different shapes and sizes. What i can recommend is for you to find out your BMI and it will calculate everything for you depending on your height. Some people who saw my video got mistaken and assumed I've told all women to eat UNDER 1000 Cals, including men. In order to reduce the amount of assumptions i get and unnecessary notification that are rather unimportant as even me making a video falls of def ears to a few tempered humans, i thought of adding this into my description. Type into your "Google Toolbar" for a BMI calculator, and you shall be presented with one online. Also, notice how i said don't starve yourself. If i would say that, it would be so incoherent to saying to eat under 1000 cals which literally is STARVING YOURSELF. WHAT DID I SAY AT 11:20-11:25? I said "SOUP" can fill you Up. (btw soups with creams are Fattening). Foods That will help you see results in 2 weeks: Lemon / Lime Pineapples Apples Prunes (After or Before every meal {CAN ALSO BE USED FOR SNACKING). GreenTea ( For 3 - 4 months [MORNING + LATE AFTERNOON + EVENING] half an hour after every meal. Oolong Tea / Wulong Tea (After 3 - 4 months). half an hour after every meal. Honey + Lemon + Hot Water (Before Sleeping). TIPS & WARNINGS: Green Tea & Oolong is best from either a traditional Chinese market/store or Walmart. Do not add too much honey to your prior sleep drink because it can cause heartburn as normal honey does. Do not Eat over 5 - 6 Prunes a day. It might cause irritation to your bowl movement. Do not go overboard with Pineapples and Apples just because it helps burn fat. Everything should be eaten in healthy quantities. Fruits can cause uncomfortable bloating or a beautiful gassy BUM!!! hahahaha Eat frozen yogurt instead of regular Ice cream. Hope I haven't missed out any important Tips or Additional Information. What Changes Come to Your Body when You Throw Up | Throw Up | Vomiting

What Changes Come to Your Body when You Throw Up | Throw Up | Vomiting This video shows you what happens to your body when you throw up. Making yourself throw up could help you feel better by expelling foods and substances that make you ill. However, it’s a method you should try as a last resort, after speaking with your physician, and only in two circumstances: If you have food poisoning, If you ingested non-corrosive substances, like pills, Throwing up is a natural mechanism your body uses to get rid of toxins and substances that make you sick, but inducing the vomit needs to be done with extreme care. If done incorrectly, making yourself throw up could cause more harm than good.  Dehydration: Your body loses significant water content when you vomit.  Burns in the esophagus: The stomach acid can cause inflammation, swelling, and burns in your esophagus. This is called esophagitis.  Aspiration: Some of the vomit can reach your airways and lungs, causing aspiration pneumonia. Aspiration can cause swelling and infections in your airways.  Tooth enamel erosion: Stomach acid can soften and erode your tooth enamel.  Tears in the esophagus: This is a severe side effect that happens less often. If you vomit violently and forcefully, the esophagus could tear. Esophageal rupture can cause saliva, food, and vomit to leak into the chest cavity. This condition needs to be addressed by a doctor. Feeling Sick on a Ketogenic Diet?

04:12
Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. There are 3 reasons why they feel sick on a ketogenic diet. This could be called the keto flu. 1. Too much fat too quickly - if your gallbladder is not present or you do not have enough bile, and you add too many fats, this will overload the liver and gallbladder and create the feeling of nausea, feeling of the flu, bloating, right shoulder pain - esp. around the upper right trap, scapula or rhomboid muscle. For this I would recommend a simple solution, cut down the fats a bit - add Gallbladder Formula: https://shop.drberg.com/gallbladder-f... 2. The ketogenic diet does deplete both electrolytes and B-vitamins. This alone can create fatigue, tiredness and by simply adding back in B-vitamins from nutritional yeast or some other natural source and electrolytes (esp. potassium), you can quickly resolve this. Your running the body now on a different cellular machine, which require slightly different nutrients. https://shop.drberg.com/electrolyte-p... 3. The 3rd reason is that you are stuck in "transition phase". If you have been running your body on sugar your whole life and not you are switching to fat burning, you have to adapt. This requires new enzymes, etc. There is 2 ways you can do this - you can go cold turkey and just do it hard core OR you can do in more gradually. This would be mean avoiding sugar, grains, refined foods BUT keep in fruit, quinoa, yams or sweet potato - do this for a while, then over time you can take away the fruit. Eating After Stomach Surgery - Bariatric Surgery Diet

03:15
Eating After Stomach Surgery - Bariatric Surgery Diet Bariatric surgery for weight loss can be a wonderful thing. But bariatric surgery will also bring some dramatic changes in your life--in both your diet and your attitude toward food. Since bariatric surgery physically alters your stomach, your body will have to make some adjustments. You'll also have to consider the possibility that if you don't eat properly after bariatric surgery, you risk doing something that won't work with the new structure of your stomach and intestines. Here are some tips for changing your diet and eating patterns to accommodate the changes. Take it slow. Meals should take 30 minutes to an hour. Chew your food deliberately and thoroughly. Doctors recommend at least 30 chews per bite with most foods. Get used to taking smaller bites than before. Cut your food into smaller pieces--small enough to fit on a baby spoon. This generally makes food easier to chew. Plan your diet: schedule your meals, and stick to the schedule. Set aside time for three meals a day, eating only solid, nutritious foods. Separate eating and drinking. Don't do both at the same time. Avoid liquids for approximately 30 minutes before or after each meal. However, make sure you keep yourself properly hydrated. Sip healthy liquids slowly between meals, all day long. Healthy, in this case, probably means water, low calorie beverages, or tea. Skim, low fat or soy milk is generally okay. Avoid "eating on the run." When you eat, sit down to a meal. Don't eat while driving or doing any activity that distracts you from the most important business at hand--digesting your food properly. Similarly, avoid snacks. Snacks could make you sick if you're not careful, and they could certainly cause you to gain weight. When you begin to feel full, stop eating. If you hear your parents' voices in your head saying "Clean your plate," ignore them. If you eat more than your stomach can handle, you'll get sick. Mom and dad wouldn't want that. How to tell when you've eaten enough Your body will tell you if you've eaten more than your stomach is ready to handle. You may begin to feel some nausea. You may begin to feel a sensation of fullness or even pressure in the middle of your upper body, just below the rib cage. You may even begin to feel some pain in your upper chest or shoulders. One final note. It's important to educate people in your life about your new bariatric diet and eating habits. Some people don't feel comfortable admitting they've had bariatric surgery to help control their weight. That's a personal choice. The important thing is never to allow yourself to be rushed, or to let someone pressure you into eating or drinking something you shouldn't.

What Losing Weight Does To Your Body And Brain

02:24
Special thanks to John Gunstad, professor with the Department of Psychological Sciences at Kent State University, for speaking with us about his cutting-edge research on how losing weight affects brain function. Tech Insider tells you all you need to know about tech: gadgets, how-to's, gaming, science, digital culture, and more. Subscribe to our channel and visit us at: http://www.businessinsider.com/sai TI on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/techinsider TI on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tech_insider/ TI on Twitter: https://twitter.com/techinsider -------------------------------------------------- Following is the transcript of the video: Here’s what losing weight does to your body and brain. During the first week, you may find it easy to lose weight by simply switching to a healthier diet. But as your metabolism adjusts, you won’t burn as many calories as you used to. So losing additional weight will become harder. Making matters worse, as the fat melts away, you’ll start to experience an increase in appetite. After a meal, fat cells release a hormone called leptin into the bloodstream. This surge in leptin levels signals to your brain you’re full and should stop eating. But with less overall fat, people who lose weight show a measurable dip in leptin. Brain scans of obese patients who had lost 10% of their body weight revealed that less leptin leads to increased activity in regions of the brain that control our desire to eat. The result isn’t just an increased appetite but an even stronger urge to eat fatty, high-calorie foods, because your brain is trying to restore the body’s leptin levels to normal. However, fighting that early impulse to gorge on pizza and donuts is worth it in the long run. Besides the decreased risk of heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes, scientists studying overweight people discovered that losing just one pound of body weight reduces four pounds of pressure on knee joints. Losing excess weight also reduces strain on the blood vessels, increases blood flow to the brain, and boosts overall brain function. Several studies have shown that people who underwent weight-loss surgery saw an improvement in memory, concentration, and problem-solving skills in as soon as three months. Plus, brain scans indicate that people who lost weight and kept it off for nine months reacted differently when shown images of high-calorie foods than before they lost the weight. The brain regions that process reward, motivation, and taste didn’t react as strongly, whereas the areas that promote overall self-control had a boost in activity. So fighting those cravings early on might make them easier to control later. Turns out — like anything else — losing weight can get easier with practice.

Foods to Avoid after Bariatric Surgery | Obesity

01:37
Watch more How to Understand Obesity videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/511367-Foods-to-Avoid-after-Bariatric-Surgery-Obesity Immediately after bariatric surgery, you will be put on, most likely, a liquid diet for a few weeks. After that, your surgeon will gradually advance you to soft foods and then regular textured foods. Once you're able to eat regular textured foods, here are some things that you should probably try to avoid, initially, or at least take your time in eating. So, after weight loss surgery, you want to be careful eating anything that could expand when it gets wet. This includes really doughy breads or even sometimes rice. This isn't to say that you can never eat these things again, but the first time you try them after your weight loss surgery, you should try very small amounts because you don't want it to get stuck in your new small stomach. Other foods that you should avoid after weight loss surgery are things that are very high in concentrated sweets. Things, obviously, like candy, cake, cookies, or other foods that are just high in carbohydrates, like pasta, bread. In small amounts they may be fine, but in particular, after the gastric bypass, your body might not be able to properly digest high carbohydrate foods and you may feel sick for a short time after eating them. For the most part, after weight loss surgery you're able to eat most foods that you were able to enjoy before, however, just in much smaller quantities. And you also want to make sure that you take your time to chew very well and enjoy what you're eating. So, these are just some examples of foods that you should avoid after weight loss surgery.

Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Insulin Resistance Data: https://www.drberg.com/insulin-resist... & Intermittent Fasting Data: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-inte... LOW CORTISOL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaIeN... Dr. Berg talks about belly swelling and what is causing this problem. There are 2 reasons, one being insulin resistance and secondly is low cortisol. Insulin resistance is a state whereby there is higher amounts of insulin in the body, which is highly inflammatory. The second problem low cortisol because cortisol created from the adrenal is anti-inflammatory and if you do not have this hormone in the correct quantity, then stress through the day will cause inflammation and swell the belly. If you wake up and your stomach is small and go to bed and your belly is big. So if your belly swells and gets bigger and bloated through the day, then fix insulin resistance and maybe even low cortisol. 8 Small Food Secrets to Lose Weight In 2 Weeks

06:18
How to lose weight in a week and get a flat stomach? What to eat to get in shape fast? Here are 8 secret foods that can boost your metabolism and help you achieve your dream body with no diet! What are we ready to do in order to lose weight and to keep it off in the future? We search the Internet for different secrets, tricks and professional advice from specialists. As a result, we are often forced into strict diets, giving up our favorite food, cutting our portion sizes, even starving from time to time! This doesn't sound too motivating, does it? But it doesn't have to be so gloomy anymore! Do you want to know the way out? How to lose weight and not to damage your emotional state at the same time? TIMESTAMPS Sorbets instead of ice cream 0:50 Gingerbread instead of chocolate 1:35 Tuna in its own juice instead of tuna in oil 2:10 Popcorn instead of trail mix 2:54 Fruit instead of cookies 3:34 Oatmeal instead of store-bought muesli 4:04 Frozen potatoes instead of fresh potatoes 4:35 Veggie chip instead of potato chips 5:14 #healthyfood #weightloss #bellyfat SUMMARY - This cream-based dessert you love so much is very high in fat. You may hear that out of all desserts this one is the least harmful for your body. Perhaps. But there is an even better option. We are talking about sorbets. - Milk chocolate is among the worst products for your figure. That's why, if you are craving something sweet, go for gingerbread! It is actually healthy: gingerbread is a much lighter product. - We constantly hear that tuna is an incredibly healthy fish. Its protein content is about that of caviar. In order for protein to digest better, you should choose canned tuna in its own juice. This contains much less fat and many more vitamins (A, B12, D, E), amino acids, and healthy substances (iodine, potassium, iron, phosphorus). - It's better to have a little bit of plain or salty popcorn than trail mix as it's normally fried with oil. What is more, if you buy this mix in the store, there might be too many salty nuts, fruits extra-rich in sugar and even chocolate in packages! So it becomes a very fatty dessert. - Whenever you want to snack, your hand usually reaches for something sweet. The main trick is to hold yourself back in time. Cookies are simply extra sugar that your body doesn't really need. - Homemade oatmeal with fruits and nuts is a much healthier option than muesli that you get at a supermarket. The latter contains flavor enhancers and sugar to make it taste and smell more attractive. - Both kinds of potato are nearly identical in their contents. They have 77 Kcal for 3,5 oz. The only difference is that if you go for frozen potatoes, you will feel full longer afterward. This occurs because frozen potatoes contain a healthier kind of starch. - Homemade vegetable chips are far healthier than store-bought potato chips. First of all, the comparison of calories: 536 Kcal in potato chips to 221 Kcal in vegetable ones. Vegetable chips contain many vitamins required by our body. We hope that this video has been useful for you, and these healthy secrets will help you to get your dream body in no time! Intermittent Fasting - Bigger Meals - Avoiding Excessive Bloating

05:42
Take Dr. Berg's Digestive Formula with meals: https://shop.drberg.com/digest-formul... Dr. Berg talks about intermittent fasting, bigger meals and bloating. When you eat less meals, you need to increase the size of your meal. The problem is you may feel bloated, so we need to overcome this. This can stress the digestive system. 1. You can separate out your macro-calories - keep your vegetables separate from your protein and fat. You can stretch out your meal to 2 hours. Its about avoiding the combining too many types of food together its harder on the digestion. 2. Lots of people do not have the acid in their stomach between 1-3, making it hard to digest. 4. The next problem is avoiding certain vegetables that could bloat you. 5. Then there are food allergies - which you need to look at - milk, dairy are common. 6. Watch out eating too many fats, which can stress the gallbladder and then if you do don't have enough fats, you could be hungry between the meals. So this is the variable that needs to be adjusted to your body, since everyone is different. Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. What Will Happen If You Eat Nothing for 7 Days

10:52
How to Fast. What if you decided to quit eating for an entire week? Would it be dangerous for your body? Nowadays, many people prefer to stick to periodical water fasting, so they don't consume any food and drink apart from water. Water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and you should consult with a doctor beforehand. Among its benefits are lower blood pressure, improved insulin and leptin sensitivity, lower cholesterol levels, and weight loss. The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. As you plan your 7-day water fasting, try to pick a low-stress time in your life. Doing this during exam season or when you're moving house isn't the best time. TIMESTAMPS What will happen to your body if you stop eating 0:58 What will happen after the first 6 hours 1:59 What will happen after 3 days 2:47 What will happen after a week 3:29 What will happen after a month or up to 70 days 3:46 What is water fasting 4:52 What is intermittent fasting 6:00 How to perform a water fast 7:31 What to do after you’re done with fasting 9:22 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -For the first 6 hours of your “no food” period, everything's going to be just fine. -After 6 hours, your body begins to starve since there's not enough glucose in your blood. -After 3 “no food” days, your brain goes to another extreme and starts to break down your body's protein. This happens because proteins release amino acids, which can be converted into the glucose your body so desperately needs. -After one “no food” week, your immune system becomes extremely weak because it isn’t receiving any vitamins or minerals. -Starvation may lead to death after almost a month or up to 70 days. -There's one rule when it comes to water fasting: you don't consume any food and drink apart from water. According to specialists, water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and a consultation with a doctor beforehand is obligatory. -If you want to water fast because of the weight loss factor, you have another option: intermittent fasting. This means eating nothing (or just a few calories) for a certain period of time and then eating as usual for another period. -The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. Listen to your body carefully during your first water fasting. -When you're done with your fasting, you should break it slowly. Easily digested foods like soups, juices, pureed fruit, white rice, and mashed potatoes are the best products for your first 2 days. I Ate One Meal A Day For 30 Days (RESULTS)

10:42
I ate one meal a day for over 30 days so here are my results. Learn what to expect with an omad diet meal plan. Eating one meal a day is a form of intermittent fasting for weight loss. Learn what to eat for 1 meal a day to lose weight and belly fat fast. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Challenge: https://gravitychallenges.com/home65d4f?utm_source=ytube&utm_term=results Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/2OWgZ4a What would happen if you only ate one meal a day for the next 30 days. Would you lose weight and more specifically would you lose body fat or would you lose muscle mass? Or maybe your body would go into starvation mode and cause you to gain weight rather than lose it due to a slower metabolism? Well that's exactly what we're going to drive into in today's video. I've been eating one meal a day not every day but almost everyday for about 2 years now. And it's worked really well for me, so today I'd like to let you guys know what results you can expect if you stick to only one meal day for the next 30 days. Even though I've had quite a bit of experience with the one meal a day diet myself I'm going to be sharing scientific studies and evidence that will help you see both the pros and the cons of this diet approach. First I want to go over the proper way to set up this diet plan for yourself because there's not an abundance of information out there on the one meal a day diet like there is on shorter fasting protocols like intermittent fasting. So a lot of people that try to stick to this diet plan mess it up from the very get go and turn it into more of a warrior diet. And the warrior diet is great, but that's not what we're going for here. You see the warrior diet is a different form of fasting where you fast for 20 hours of the day and you give yourself a four hour feeding window for eating. If you don't set limits to the amount of time you spend eating you easily can drag out your one single meal into a buffet that lasts for hours. So it's very important that you understand that one meal a day is also a 23/1 fasting to feeding split. Meaning you only give yourself a 1 hour feeding window usually during the same time every day and you have to spend the other 23 hours of the day fasting. If it isn't already obvious OMad or the one meal a day diet helps you create a calorie deficit without really thinking about restricting calories. When you're only eating once a day especially when you do it the right way and limit it to under an hour, you can only fit so much into your stomach before your full. So really we're limiting calories by decreasing meal frequency. Which immediately can be a red flag for those people that believe that your metabolism slows down when you decrease meal frequency. However, numerous studies have proven this to be a myth. One study called "meal frequency and energy balance" combined and examined research from a bunch of different studies on the topic of meal frequency. And the researchers found that a nibbling pattern of eating or eating more frequently didn't present any advantage as far as the metabolic rate was concerned. So your metabolism is not going to automatically slow down from eating only one meal a day for 30 days. If you have the same amount of calories in that one meal as you would in 6 meals then your metabolism should remain the same in both situations. So does that mean that the "starvation mode" that we've all been warned about is a big phony scam? Well turns out it's actually not, it's actually called adaptive thermogenesis and it's a very real response that your body has. In response to a decrease in energy intake your body will decrease energy expenditure in an effort to avoid starvation. However adaptive thermogenesis will occur based on the total amount of energy or calories coming in. As long as you don't fast for over 48 hours It doesn't matter if those calories all come in at once or throughout the day. In fact shorter fasts that last under 48 hours have been shown to increase your metabolism between roughly 4 to 14 percent due to an increase in norepinephrine concentration in the blood. But what about weight loss. Don't you lose more weight when you have meals more meals throughout the day due to something known as thermic effect of foods which simply means that digesting food throughout... Research: Meal frequency does not accelerate or slow your metabolism: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9155494 Effects of meal frequency on weight loss and body composition (meta-analysis): https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26024494 3 meals per day vs 6 meals a day does not effect weight loss: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19943985 Resting Metabolism Increase from Short term fasting: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10837292 Metabolic response to a 48 hour starvation: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2405717 One meal a day vs three meals per day for 6 months: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2121099/ ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2645638/

Can You Drink Water When You Eat?

10:20
When it comes to health, prevention is better than cure, so it’s important to know and avoid some harmful everyday habits. Can drinking water when you eat actually do you any harm, or is it just a health myth? Some experts say that eating and drinking at the same time prevents you from losing weight, while others say water dilutes our stomach acid. Let’s find out what drinking simple water as you eat can actually do to you. Some people think that drinking water while eating decreases the acidity in the stomach. So if gastric acid gets diluted, it won't be able to digest your food thoroughly enough. The digestive process starts before you even put the fork in your mouth. When we’re just thinking about our future meal, saliva starts getting secreted in the mouth. In fact, water doesn’t just enter the stomach from a glass, it’s also in the food you eat. For example, oranges, along with raspberries and pineapples, are 87% water. Research showed that some foods can, in fact, decrease acidity levels in the stomach, but they go back to normal really quickly. There are lots of advantages to drinking while eating. It helps soften and break down solid food so that your body can absorb the nutrients better. Water also prevents constipation since it softens the stool. It’s been proven that drinking just 2 cups of water raises both male and female metabolic rates by 30%. And when your metabolism is increased, this gives you a much-needed boost in energy. Water helps with the absorption of nutrients. It dissolves minerals and vitamins, along with other nutrients you get from your food. Water is vital for flushing toxins out of your body through your urine and stool. Music: Knuckle - Text Me Records/Social Work https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Why are some people against drinking water while eating? 0:45 What happens to food and water in the stomach? 1:21 Liquids don't decrease stomach acidity. 2:38 Liquids don't influence the speed of digestion. 4:07 So can we drink while eating or not? 4:34 Reasons why your body absolutely needs water. 6:44 SUMMARY -Some people think that water pushes food that’s still in undigested into the intestines. -Water, unlike food, doesn't stick around in the stomach for 4 hours. It goes through the chewed food very quickly, moisturizes it, and leaves the stomach way before the food does. -If the stomach “feels” that it can't digest something, it pumps out more enzymes to increase the acidity of the liquid inside. Even if you drink half a gallon of water, it won't change the acidity. -Liquid leaves the body faster than solid food, but it doesn't influence the speed of digestion. -Having something to drink with your meals is harmless and can even do you some good. -Water helps regulate your body temperature, lubricates your spinal cord, tissues, and joints. Water boosts your physical performance. We all have fat converting enzymes, but the amount of them drastically increases when first entering keto - the supply of glucose falls before the body has adapted to burning fat for fuel. Hypoglycemia occurs because the body quickly burns through stored sugars and hasn’t yet learned to burn fat, leaving you with an energy deficit* Going from little fat a day to eating all the fat you can consume results in people’s body’s not being able to digest all the fat right away, this leaves a large portion of fat undigested and built up and makes some people understandably nauseated. The liver and gallbladder need time to up-regulate the number of fat-burning enzymes to burn larger amounts of fat efficiently. Loss of Minerals/Electrolytes: When we restrict carbohydrates, we remove from our diet the one macronutrient that triggers the most insulin release. While insulin is letting the cells know that there is excess energy, it also triggers the kidneys to hold onto sodium and water. Together, glycogen loss and low insulin levels cause enough water and sodium to cause dizziness, nausea, cramping, headaches, and gastrointestinal issues Increase Salt and Mineral Intake: When you go low carb, your insulin levels will tend to go down, which in turn means you don’t hold on to as much sodium as before. You also get rid of excess water that you’ve been holding on to (no carbs to hold water as well) So, to combat this decrease in sodium, the simple answer is to take in a bit more salt as to retain more water Bone broth - has electrolytes and helps the gut: Bone broth is easily digested and soothing to the digestive system - it provides essential minerals, including electrolytes, all provided in an easy-to-absorb form. Electrolytes found within bone broth include calcium, magnesium and potassium (not to mention many other minerals, such as phosphorus), which are important for supporting healthy circulation, bone density, nerve signaling functions, heart health and digestive health Gut Health: Certain bacteria prefer to consume protein, sugars, or carbs, while some prefer fats and fat is most commonly correlated with an increase in the bacteria that produce endotoxins - so on a keto, endotoxins are more likely to thrive. This can result in nausea… Collagen: The main structural protein found within the human body that helps form connective tissue and “seals” the mucosal lining of the GI tract. Glutamine: Bone broth also contains glutamine, which has protective effects on intestinal mucosa by decreasing bacteremia and epithelial cell apoptosis, enhancing gut barrier function, and influencing gut immune response - glutamine can fight against bad gut flora by protecting against mucosal breakdown in the gut. Stay Hydrated: Dehydration can often give you headaches, nausea, and fatigue so make sure you also drink plenty of water during this period is critical. NEVER IGNORE THESE WARNING SIGNS OF ULCER | stomach ulcer

NEVER IGNORE THESE WARNING SIGNS OF ULCER | stomach ulcer is very informative video you can watch more like this subscribe to our channel for daily updates https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWvbgwdELF-rWmyxuk7k8QA What i Explained In this video (((NEVER IGNORE THESE WARNING SIGNS OF ULCER | stomach ulcer))) Ulcers occur due to an imbalance of digestive juices or if the stomach lining suffers some form of damage (i.e., alcoholism). When an ulcer goes untreated, the acid can eat a hole through the stomach wall or small intestine, leading to a serious infection called peritonitis. Because ulcers can produce scar tissue, blockages can form that do not allow food to pass through the digestive tract easily, causing vomiting and weight loss. Although many ulcers will often heal on their own, sometimes serious health issues will result if medical treatment isn’t sought when necessary. Here are ten warning signs indicative of an ulcer, including the following: 1. Abdominal Pain Feeling bloated or experiencing pain or a burning sensation in the middle or upper part of the stomach after meals or at night. 2. Nausea Due to the imbalance of digestive fluids in the stomach, mild to severe nausea can occur at any time–more intensely in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Heartburn/Indigestion Someone with an ulcer can experience horrible indigestion and gastrointestinal pain, which can cause hiccups and burping after meals. 4. Flu-like Symptoms Most people with an ulcer will have flu-like symptoms such as fever, nausea, exhaustion, and general malaise that don’t dissipate over the course of a few days. 5. Abdominal Heaviness It is very common for a person with an ulcer to develop a feeling of fullness or heaviness in the stomach, similar to having consumed a great deal of fluid. 6. Unexplainable Hunger It is normal for someone with an ulcer to feel extremely hungry only a couple of hours after consuming a full meal. The feelings are not actually hunger pangs, but rather pain from the ulcer, which is caused by an increase in digestive fluids. 7. Loss of Appetite Many people experience appetite loss due to sudden and intense stomach pains. 8. Unexplained or Sudden Weight Loss With appetite loss that stems from ulcers, it is common to lose weight. This becomes even more likely if the ulcer causes vomiting after meals. 9. Vomiting Blood A perforated ulcer can lead to bloody vomit. If this happens, the ulcer has advanced and immediate medical attention is indicated. 10. Discoloration of Stool Watch Our Other Video title="These Seeds Kill Cancer Cells, Affect Your Sleep, Improve Sight And Much More!" href="//www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT0DTbsx0sY"

Getting Headaches When Doing Keto and Intermittent Fasting?

04:12
Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about getting headaches on a keto (ketogenic diet) and intermittent fasting. This is a hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) situation, your cells have not yet adapted to running on ketones. The brain is the first organ affected by low blood sugars because it depends on glucose. We are going to talk about headaches in a relationship to doing Keto and Intermittent Fasting. This is really a hypoglycemic type of issue or the low blood sugar situation, your cells have not yet adapted to running on ketones, and you’re still running on glucose. If you implement intermittent fasting and you try to go in a long period of time, it drops the sugar. The problem is that low blood sugars add a tremendous amount of stress to the brain, central nervous system and the nerves overall. In fact, the brain is the first organ to be affected by low blood sugars because they depend on glucose. There is an alternative fuel called ketones but if you don’t know how to do it you are going to run in glucose and if you implement intermittent fasting, you are gonna crash and burn. Headaches are very common symptoms of hypoglycemia but to really know if your headaches are really connected to blood sugars, all you have to do as soon as you start getting headaches is to start to consume some protein because that should instantly improve your headaches and if it doesn’t then it could be another source. The solution to the headaches is to realize that it is a blood sugar thing and go into this more gradually. For example you are going this and eating twice a day and you are getting headaches, add another meal because you are not ready to go to 2 meals a day. If you are doing 3 meals a day maybe you might really need to add more protein. But again here’s the problem, medically speaking what they’ll do to hypoglycemia is they tell you to add more snacks like 5 to 6 meals a day which is a big mistake even though you’ll feel better, you’ll never correct the problem. You might go “wow, I had some fruit, protein, and I feel better” but if you are not working towards running your body on ketones you are still going to have the blood sugar situation because as soon as you eat, you are going to spike the insulin, it is gonna come down. Primarily because it is the frequency of eating that keeps the insulin very high and if you are trying to fix this problem, you are going to work towards going longer and longer without snacking. Snacking is just very quick fix, it is a temporary situation but we want to go longer without eating in general. The other bad advice would be to add some candy. The Nutty Nutritionist: 3 tips on New Weight Loss Drug Contrave

08:40
Today I go through 3 tips to know about Contrave. A lot of people have been asking me about this drug! Here are some quick tips: 1. Contrave has two drugs in it--Naltrexone, which has typically been used to decrease cravings in those with alcoholism. In this case it is used to blunt appetite. The other component, Bupropion has been used as a smoking cessation agent and/or for depression. If you have a history of alcoholism, a seizure disorder or an eating disorder (anorexia or bulimia) you should not take the drug. I forgot to mention in the video, usually this is indicated for those with a BMI over 30 or for those who have a BMI of 27 with comorbid conditions (diabetes, osteoarthritis secondary to excess weight etc.) 2. If you experience SEVERE symptoms such as seizure or severe nausea, dizziness etc, call your doctor. I am purely sharing this information to give you guidance! :) If you feel dizzy or nausea, try taking the pill with food. Since this drug is slowly titrated over the course of 4 weeks, it should minimize those side effects. However always take caution when starting a new regimen and be aware of possible side effects. 3. The drug was studied over the course of 56 weeks and the researchers found that participants lost an average of 5% of their weight when taking the drug and making lifestyle changes (diet+exercise.) Those who received counseling or coaching lost an average of 8%!! This shows that counseling/coaching greatly improves the overall weight loss. Also it should be noted that although we often "know" what is good for us, we may have factors that block us. This is how I help my clients move forward and support them. What is "Too Much" Fat on Keto (ketogenic diet)?

03:25
To Get Dr. Berg's Full Keto Plan: https://shop.drberg.com/drbergs-new-b... Dr. Berg answers the question, how much is "too much" fat on a keto (ketogenic diet)? This is a balance of enough versus too much and getting your sweet spot (no pun intended). If you have hypoglycemia (low blood sugars) you will need a bit more to go from one meal to the next. However, you also need to make sure you do not have too much, thus overloading the gallbladder and causing (bloating, right shoulder pain, etc). Also, if you consume too much fat, esp. between meals or after meals, you will end up burning dietary fat and NOT your own fat despite being in ketosis. This is why I recommend always doing intermittent fasting with ketosis. So in other words - you'll have to adjust your fats until it's just right - no gallbladder issues, but allowing you to go from one meal to the next. If you are new to this, you may want to get my booklet or even my bigger book either on the website - drberg.com or amazon. On my website - you can get both as a discount, but not on amazon. Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Can skipping meals really effective for quick weight loss? - Dr. Karagada Sandeep

01:07
Yes, skipping meals can definitely help you with quick weight loss, but yes, at a cost. So what happens when you skip meals is the body goes into fasting, and goes into starving. Our body is built on a lot of principles and still works on a lot of principles from your Palaeolithic age. So when we skip meals the body thinks that it is fasting. So what it does it doesn’t burn the fat, it keeps the fat to burn later. It starts burning your muscle mass, starts burning the good stuff. So you start losing weight when you skip meals but at the cost of a lot of things. Health issues might come up, you might start having a headache, nausea, giddiness, and it is never healthy and it is never a heathy way of weight loss. So skipping meals might help you to lose weight quickly but at a very considerable cost. Ketosis: Post Workout Carb Timing: Thomas DeLauer

07:16
Be Sure to Subscribe to my Channel for 3x Videos per Week! http://www.thomasdelauer.com Ketosis: Post Workout Carb Timing: Thomas DeLauer Ketosis Overview When the body turns to burning fat it creates molecules called ketones Ketones are created when the body breaks down fats, creating fatty acids, and burned off in the liver in a process called beta-oxidation End result of this process is the creation of ketones, which are used as fuel by the muscles and brain In simpler terms, since you have no more glucose or glycogen, ketosis kicks in and your body will use your stored/consumed fat as energy Pre/Post Workout Nutrition Studies have looked at post workout timing and its effects on strength and hypertrophy Show that as long as you’re getting enough of the right nutrients throughout the day, you’re not going to see much added benefit from a perfectly timed post workout meal Whether you’re in ketosis or not, a proper daily intake will work the same as a perfectly timed post workout meal While on a ketogenic diet, the focus should be on maintaining ketones so that you have an adequate supply and to refrain from dipping in and out of ketosis (1) Carbs and Ketosis Carb Intake for Different Styles of Training While in Keto Cardio-Based Training Those who do a lot of cardio – running, biking, marathons, etc. don’t need to worry about carb intake Studies show that aerobic training (endurance training) isn’t affected by low carbohydrate diets A study was done on well-trained cyclists who were on a ketogenic diet for 4 weeks Results showed that aerobic endurance was not compromised at all. Their bodies adapted through ketosis, limiting both glucose and glycogen stores, and using fats as the predominant energy source. Even if you are doing very long cardio training, marathons and biking included, a ketogenic diet has been proven to be sustainable (2) Weight training and Carb-upping Carb intake may change if you lift weights The only real time where ketosis can give performance loss is in exercises that need an explosive action If you need a little boost in your performance during these, you can “carb-up” Carbohydrates do help your performance and also help with recovery of muscles. That means faster gains, and better strength performance in your training sessions There are two routes you can take here – TKD and CKD TKD A targeted ketogenic diet, where you’re intaking just enough carbs before your workout to knock you out of ketosis for the duration of your workout How it works is that you supply a glycogen source to your muscle to use, and then once it is used up after you finish your workout you will resume a ketotic state. • Could cause you to feel sick some of the time by being in the grey area of in/out of ketosis. CKD A cyclical ketogenic diet, and is a more advanced technique It’s more for bodybuilding and competitors that want to stay on a ketogenic diet while still building muscle In this method, you stay on a regular ketogenic diet for a period of time (usually 5 days) and then do what is known as a carb-up for a period of time (1-2 days) In a CKD, you are essentially replenishing all of your glycogen stores for all the training you’ll do for the rest of the week, and your goal is to deplete that glycogen – essentially a refeed period (3,4) In Summation Research suggests that carbs consumed before or after exercise should not negatively affect ketosis However, some individuals may find that they drop out of ketosis transiently due to the ingestion of pre-workout carbohydrates After a workout, there will be a short period where insulin is elevated and free fatty acid availability for ketone production is decreased However, as blood glucose is pushed into the muscles, insulin should drop again allowing ketogenesis to resume within several hours Post-workout carbs might be expected to have a greater effect on ketosis, in that insulin levels will most likely be higher than are seen with pre-workout carbs • Kicks you out of ketosis easier because insulin sensitivity is so high after a workout So individuals may want to experiment with pre-workout carbs first References 1) The human metabolic response to chronic ketosis without caloric restriction: preservation of submaximal exercise capability with reduced carbohydra... - PubMed - NCBI. Fasting vs. Eating Less: What's the Difference? (Science of Fasting)

12:50
This is about the drastic physiological differences between fasting and eating less ▲Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/WILearned ▲Twitter: https://twitter.com/jeverettlearned *NOTE* One of the key things in being able to fast in a healthy matter is entering the state of ketosis - that is, switching your metabolism from burning carbohydrate to burning fat. *Considering most people have been burning carbohydrate their whole lives* this can make fasting a challenge. Upton Sinclair recommends doing quite long fasts - 12 days, but you may want to work your way up to longer fasts. Unless you are relatively keto adapted (or have experience with fasting of course), it's important that you take precautions while doing a fast. Fasting isn't inherently dangerous, *but diving into fasting when your body is in no way geared for it can be.* I recommend doing more research before doing longer fasts. "The Complete Guide to Fasting" (http://amzn.to/2tQjxXa) is a good book to start with. As Tim Ferriss puts it: Please don't do anything stupid and kill yourself. It would make us both quite unhappy. Just in case I should also say that of course you need to balance fasting with eating - You need to survive off of something. I have been doing intermittent fasting the past year (22 hours fasted, 2 hours eating - you can widen it to 16/8, which still provides great benefits) and will fast for a couple days every other month or so. Several other people have recommend a routine like this - Tim Ferriss recommends doing a 3 day fast once per month and a 7 day fast once per year. Also make sure you're getting enough fat, protein, micronutrients and fiber to maintain a healthy weight and healthy body - *excessive* fasting can be very dangerous. Books Mentioned: "The Obesity Code" by Dr. Jason Fung - http://amzn.to/2rXtalh "The Fasting Cure" by Upton Sinclair - (If you google the title you can find the full book online) "Tools of Titans" by Tim Ferriss - http://amzn.to/2rX6P7E [BLINKIST] Blinkist is an app I've been using lately to discover new books and review the ones I've already read. It gives you the key points in text or audio form from tons of different non-fiction books. Since I'm always going through so many books to get these done, it's very useful to get me exposed to more concepts beforehand to know if it's worth my time to buy and read through that particular book. The 16 Most Common KETO Side-Effects & Remedies

04:15
Download the Keto-Adaptation Remedy Card: http://drberg.com/keto-adapt-card Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about the side effects that can occur from doing the ketogenic diet. This is called keto adaptation. Your body is switching over to fat burning from sugar burning and additional nutrients are needed. So I listed out all the potential problems that can occur and what to do about them. If you have muscle cramps, palpatations, feeling weak, bad breath, dizziness, keto flu, keto fatigue, feeling cold, etc. I listed out what you need. Lots of people need potassium, B1, and even sodium. but this way you can know whats going on and what to do about it. Hey Guys, in this video we’re going to talk about keto adaptation symptoms and solutions. When you start with ketogenic diet, you may have any one of these symptoms. Muscle cramps is usually a low potassium situation, you need to increase your potassium levels. Palpitations or Heart Arrhythmias, also increase more potassium because when you lose the glycogen reserve you lose a lot of water and the water comes with electrolytes, so the need of potassium will go way up. If you feel week that means you need more sodium, sea salt would handle it. Bad breath means you are consuming too much protein, cut down protein and maybe add some apple cider vinegar for digestion. Dizzy, that could means three things but when doing keto it means to increase your sodium because you are losing more fluid and the blood pressure goes too low and sea salt retains water. For fatigue, you need to up your B1 and B5 and nutritional yeast works great for that. If you feel more cold in intermittent fasting take some high quality iodine sea kelp, you can also do sea vegetables as well. Not satisfied after a meal means you need more fat. When your body adapts to ketosis and you actually start healing insulin resistance, the need for fat goes down because your body is running in your own fat. Right Shoulder pain means you are consuming too much fat or too many nuts which is irritating the gallbladder, there is a nerve that goes into the right shoulder that could be going up to your neck, head or jaw, having those symptoms cut back the fat and the nuts for it to go away. When having constipation, avoid too much cheese. Too much cheese and meat could constipate a person, increase your vegetables and potassium. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about the power of intermittent fasting. This is not a diet, but a pattern of eating. Why does it work? Because it triggers Growth Hormone and inhibits insulin. The purpose of intermittent fasting is to lower insulin, take the stress off insulin and the gland that makes it - pancreas, and thus restore your metabolism. This can heal a plateaued set-point. If you have fat in your mid-section, then we know you have high insulin. INSULIN RESISTANCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxl8h... WHAT TO EAT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHKay... Start with 3 meals per day, no snacking. Then do 3 meals per day but only eating your 3 meals in a 8 hour window, thus fasting for 16 hours. Ultimately, you want to fast for 20 hours and eat within a 4 hour window - 2 meals per day. If you add exercise, high intensity interval training, you can greatly enhance Growth Hormone even more. Low Carb Cory), is AVAILABLE NOW as a Kindle e-book, Audible audio book, and in Paperback! Get your copy today: http://www.manifestationmachine.com/rabylon From Amazon.com: Life is hard in the poverty-stricken village of Rabylon, where rabbits work every day from sun up to sun down, earning just enough carrots to survive—except for Mayor Monty Cottonsworth III, who lives in the lap of luxury as his villagers starve. Twin bunnies Remy and Rhea, fed up with working so long and so hard with nothing to show for it, desperately desire a better life, but don’t know how to achieve it. Just when they are about to give up hope, they are inspired by the story of a mythical carrot paradise that may exist on the other side of a big, green hill outside of their village. Now they face the most difficult decision they’ve ever had to make: Do they “play it safe” by staying in Rabylon and settle for a life of lack, loss, and limitation? Or do they risk it all—up to and including their lives—on the chance that out there somewhere is a life worth dying for? Cory Groshek is an author/blogger, investor, musician/entertainer, consumer rights advocate, metaphysician, and founder/CEO of Manifestation Machine. He is also known in the music industry as Cory Crush and considered an expert on intermittent fasting in the YouTube fitness community as Low Carb Cory. Bulimia Makes You Gain Weight: 3 Surprising Reasons Why And How To Stop It

06:43
Today we are going to go over 3 specific reasons why bulimia makes you gain weight. So, if you are still thinking that your eating disorder helps you to control or manage your weight, you are fooling yourself. Bulimia Nervosa causes weight gain overtime, let's find out how. According to National Center for Biotechnology Information, if you look at the people who are seeking for bulimia nervosa treatment, there is a deviation from the typical weight presentation to overweight or obese weight ranges. That means bulimia leads to weight gain overtime. And there are 3 main reasons why it happens. Let's dive right in. So, you might want to argue with me and still be sure that bulimia doesn't lead to weight gain. That if it doesn't help you lose weight, it at least helps you to offset the bingeing behaviors so you don't get fat. Well, the problem with bulimia is that purging catalases binging. That means the more you purge, the more you want to binge. And I don't want to sound as a broken recover over here, but the truth is the truth. Have you even binge stuck in binging and purging cycle for several hours or even days in a row? Well, that's what I am talking about here. When you are in bulimia, binging and throwing up, you feel very powerless, like the behaviors are stronger than you are, and you don't know how to stop. On top of that it is all reinforced with a bunch of hard heavy emotions such as guilt, shame, embarrassment, feelings of failure, feelings of being lost. The cycle usually stops when you are completely exhausted and drained after several rounds, or when you make a cautious decision to stop – which is we are trying to learn how to do here, or you have been interrupted. (basically you've been caught off guard – very embarrassing) So, a typical bulimic logic is: how will I gain weight, if I'm getting rid of all this food right away? Plus, it takes so long for my body to process the food, and sometimes when I purge, I literally know, that I throw up everything that I ate. First, mechanical and chemical food digestion begins in the mouth where food is chewed. Your body starts working hard as soon as you put food in your mouth; When you start eating your mouth produces a chemical called saliva, that helps with this process. Even though most the food gets processed in the stomach and absorbed in the intestines, this process starts very early. On top of that, you keep some of the food down, even if you are trying your hardest to flush yourself. Per American Journal of Psychiatry, "In 17 normal weight bulimic patients, there appeared to be a ceiling on the number of calories retained after vomiting. That is, whether or not bulimic patients had small or large binges, they retained similar amounts of kilocalories after vomiting." Which was a mean 1,200 calories. On average, a bulimic consumes 1,200 calories more on a binge day, then on a binge free day. The situation takes a compounding effect, when one day you wake up, and you realize you don't fit into your pants anymore. I've been there, it stinks! When I was in bulimia, there were times when I "purged successfully" completely got rid of all my food, and times when I "didn't do a good job purging." Bottom line is, when I was bulimic my weight was higher than my natural set point. I believe, that 100 % purging is still something impossible. At least it was for me, my weight as I already mentioned was higher than the normal set point. Because even though I purged after my binging, a lot of food still stayed in my body. Another reason why you end up putting weight in bulimia – is your slow metabolism. If we put all the food rules, regulations, moral labels aside, and simply look at physiology, your body is designed to live. So, when there is a shortage of energy it does its best to make sure that energy is going to last long. So, instead of using it, it tries to store it as fat. That's simply how your metabolism works. When you are binge eating, then purging and starving, the body doesn't know what's going on, so, it tries to preserve that energy for bad days. And that explains why it's harder to lose some of that extra weight if you have it.

Lose Weight Fast, 10 Pounds In 3 Days With The Military Diet

09:40
You can lose eight fast with the Military Diet. It will make you lose 10 pounds in 3 days. That's very fast weight loss. There are many different types of diets that are constantly being advertised and recommended. The trouble is finding one that can actually “talk the talk and walk the walk.” According to Dr. Mark Hyman, a nine-time #1 New York Times bestselling author, states that one of the number one reasons diets fail is because the person doesn’t have a plan that fits them. Good health is not something that is just given to people, they have to plan and earn. These are some weight loss tips for you. #MilitaryDiet #DietPlan #LoseWeight Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Here is the 3-day military diet that can help you lose 10 pounds! (This diet is intended for women, but men are recommended to add an extra 100 calories a day in the form of protein.) Breakfast may be one of the most essential meals of the day simply because it will give you that desired energy first thing in the morning and it can help kickstart your metabolism. For your first meal of this 3 day military diet you can have half a grapefruit, 1 slice of toast (preferably whole wheat or multigrain) with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. If you have a peanut allergy you can substitute it with almond butter, soy butter, sunflower seed butter, hummus, pumpkin butter, or bean dip. And any breakfast isn’t complete without 1 cup of black coffee or caffeinated tea. Please note, you cannot add any sugar, cream, milk or sweeteners into your coffee or tea. These beverages are not essential to the diet as you can substitute it with any amount of water. But green tea and coffee both have thermogenic properties (burns more calories) and black coffee has the ability to suppress your appetite. The next meal of the day (lunch) consists of half a cup of tuna, another slice of toast (but no peanut butter this time) and water, black coffee or tea. If you need to season your foods then go with alternatives such as garlic salt, pepper, honey mustard, and any other low or no calorie seasoning. For dinner, you can have 3 ounces of any type of meat, 1 cup of green beans, half a banana, one small apple and one cup of vanilla ice cream. As you can tell, there isn’t a lot of food in this diet and that’s because lowering calories is what causes weight loss. If you wanna drop the pounds, you got to cut the calories! The next morning, breakfast should include one slice of multigrain or whole wheat toast, one whole egg, and half a banana. This diet is intended to last three days, and then take 4 days off. Rinse and repeat until you achieve the results you desire. The 4 days off do not mean you can binge eat and eat yourself to sickness. The goal should still be to eat around 1,500 calories or less. For lunch, you are entitled to one cup of cottage cheese (or you can replace it with 1 slice of cheddar cheese), 1 hard boiled egg and 5 saltine crackers. Dinner is served! You can have two hot dogs (minus the buns), 1 cup of broccoli, half a cup of carrots, half a banana, and half a cup of vanilla ice cream. This diet dictates vanilla ice cream only (why? I have no clue) but you can substitute ice cream (who would do that?) with one cup of apple juice or one cup of vanilla, strawberry or banana flavored almond milk. The vegetables on this diet should be steamed, baked, boiled or eaten raw. Meat should be grilled or baked, and if you are a vegetarian then you can substitute the protein sources with tofu, lentils, beans and/or portobello mushrooms. The third and final day has arrived! You’re almost there, don’t give up now! For breakfast, you are to have 5 saltine crackers, 1 slice of cheddar cheese and 1 small apple. Saltine crackers can be replaced with rice cakes (one for one) and cheddar cheese can be replaced with ham, eggs, cabbage or soy cheese. Don’t forget your black coffee or caffeinated tea! This lunch is going to be a bit small but on the menu is one slice of whole wheat or multigrain toast and one hard boiled egg. You can switch the egg out for one cup of milk, or two slices of bacon or just one chicken wing. As you can probably tell, from day 1 to day 3 there is a slow and gradual reduction of even more calories (hence the rapid weight loss.) For the last meal of day 3, you can have 1 cup of tuna, half a banana and one cup of vanilla ice cream. And remember, there is no snacking allowed on this diet. You need to eat these foods and these foods only. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Bestie : https://goo.gl/tUqro6 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bestieinc/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.bestie.com/

3014 - Physical and Spiritual Effects of Fasting / From Sickness to Health - Barbara O'Neill

48:51
What exactly is fasting and what are its benefits? What actually happens to our bodies during a fast? See how fasting was historically used to benefit the body. Discover how glucose and fat gets stored and how these things affects the body during a fast. We have storage and backups in our body when we are not taking in food, so the energy that is normally reserved for digesting a meal is used elsewhere. Learn about how excess energy can then go to areas of greatest need to help the body heal itself. In this lecture with Doctor Barbara O’Neill we will learn all about fasting. Fasting provides more than just physical effects, but spiritual effects as well.
