Already feeling sick and tired of smoking? Considering quitting? If yes, you're not alone! Today, there are a whole lot of reasons to quit smoking and the good news is, it's never too late to make the decision! As we already know, smoking is incredibly bad for your health — it's more like a way drawing yourself closer and closer to the grave! But the good news is, you can quit today and start getting your life back. Yes, the benefits of quitting smoking are almost instant — you're likely to see great improvements in as little as 20 minutes! It's however important to note that quitting smoking can be pretty tough in the beginning, but trust me, it's totally worth it! Just try to figure out a plan to handle those cravings, especially in the first few weeks — do this and you'll be well on your way to a new super healthy life. Here are some of the amazing benefits that come along with your decision to quit cigarettes. After 20 minutes to 1 hour As mentioned earlier, smokers are likely to experience impressive improvements in their health just minutes after quitting the habit. For the most part, after 20 minutes, your blood pressure starts to drop back to normal and overall circulation begins to improve. After 12 hours At this point, you should be aware that the cigarettes are chock full of harmful toxins including carbon monoxide. Of course, this gas is present in cigarette smoke and it turns out that excessive inhalation can be incredibly harmful to the body. What's more, carbon monoxide in cigarettes inhibits oxygen from getting into the lungs and blood, and prolonged inhalation within a short time can trigger suffocation. But the good news is, after just 12 hours without a cigarette, the body gets rid of the excess carbon monoxide and improve oxygen levels. After 24 hours Worried about suffering a heart attack as a result of smoking? If yes, you'll be glad to know that the risk decreases just after one day of quitting. Essentially, smoking lowers good cholesterol which eventually increases the risk of developing coronary heart disease. What's more, smoking raises blood pressure and even increase the risk of stroke. But as mentioned earlier, these risks can be alleviated in as little as one day after quitting smoking. Of course, within a short time, the body's oxygen levels increases making it easier for you to exercise and perform other heart-healthy habits. After 48 hours Smokers are also at risk of having damaged nerve endings; more like the ones responsible for senses of smell and taste. But the good news is, after just two days of quitting, the nerve endings may heal and of course, the person will begin to notice a heightened sense of both smell and taste. After 72 hours Made it to the third day? Well, at this point, the nicotine levels in the body are already depleted. Of course, this is a good thing but you should brace yourself for nicotine withdrawal. In essence, after three days of quitting, there's a high chance of experiencing irritability, moodiness, terrible headaches and even cravings. This is just the way your body readjusts to the change. After 1 month At this point, your lung function starts to improve — you may notice less coughing and less shortness of breath. What's more, you're likely to notice a renewed strength to perform cardiovascular activities including running and jumping. After 9 months After nine months of quitting smoking, your lungs will start getting its life back. For the most part, the cilia would have recovered from the harmful effects of cigarette smoke and you'll notice a significant decrease in the frequency of lung infections. For those who might not know, the cilia are delicate hair-like structures inside the lungs that help fight infections. After 1 to 5 years Right now, your risk of developing coronary heart disease will decrease by half and after five years, blood vessels and arteries will begin to widen. It's good to know that this widening indicates that blood is less likely to clot, and that's great. Of course, this improvement lowers the risk of stroke significantly and it continues to reduce as the body heals more and more. All in all, quitting smoking is totally worth it — it's a way of bringing your body back to life. Now it's up to you take the decision and live the super healthy life you've always wanted. How to quit smoking. In this video I break down how addiction works. As an ex smoker, I went through many trial and error to figure out how smoking addiction works. What I learnt is that the best way to quit smoking is to remove the brainwashing associated with smoking before even you actually stop smoking. At the same time, you can set a date for quitting. I recommend to choose a date where you will have least amount of stress in your life. When you are ready, and the quitting date comes, You will be prepared to deal with cravings during 21 days. by the 21st day, nicotine leaves your body and all your physical cravings are gone. At this point you feel Happy and Excited that you quit, instead of feeling sad and angry, which is common in people when trying to quit. By subscribing on my Break Free Addiction Channel, you will help your brain to be trained and educated about the subject. Trust me this way it will be easier to deal with Addiction. I also Highly recommend you to check my other video about the Easy Method to quit smoking which also includes similar information about the 21 days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shvigOvmj9k

Let's face it; smoking is bad. Besides impacting your health, the habit takes its toll on your appearance, clothes and of course, your wallet! As a new ex-smoker, I can say for sure that smoking affects your body in more ways than one, but the good news is, it's never too late to quit. Of course, after many years of smoking, I decided to take the big step towards cessation. Although it hasn't been easy, I can say that I've been seeing the fruits of my labor — it's really amazing! So far so good, I've stayed away from cigarettes for one month — of course, I started experiencing the incredible health benefits right from day one up until this moment. In this video, I'm going to let you in on how my health changed during the first month of giving up on the habit. And of course, I hope it motivates you to quit smoking once and for all! Here's What Happened After I Stopped Smoking For One Month For starters, you're likely to experience the amazing benefits of quitting in as little 20 minutes — that's just how fast your body heals! Fast forward to one month, I started noticing great improvements in my respiratory health. Yes, I always experienced nasty coughs and shortness of breath in the past. Even cases of sinus pain and congestion was a norm. But the good news is, I've been recovering from these symptoms ever since I quit — one month down the road, I know for sure that I feel better now. Essentially, the moment you stop inhaling cigarette smoke, cilia in the lungs comes back to life. In essence, the delicate lung tissues begin to regrow and function like they ought to. For the most part, cilia help to move particulates (in this case, toxins from cigarette smoke) we breathe in back out of the lungs. But unfortunately, smoking causes them to be clogged with tar. Of course, as mentioned earlier, the delicate lung tissues begin to function again after quitting smoking. And for those who might not know, shortness of breath is a smoker's disease that impairs your ability to breathe. It actually took a toll on me back then, but I see amazing improvements today — just one month after quitting, I now breathe freely and easily. That's not all — I also found it easy to perform a range of cardiovascular activities including running and jumping. What's more, my dull sense of smell also improved — it was really amazing to smell subtle scents that have evaded me for years. In addition to the health benefits, I also found that my confidence began to grow as time went by. Of course, this new sense of empowerment has the potential to bring new positive relationships that can change other areas of your life. All in all, the journey hasn't been easy, but I can boldly say the change is totally worth it! It's all about settling in and allowing the smoke-free days pile up. With time, you'll start enjoying the fruits of your labor! Best part? The benefits continue on long after your first month; in essence, after years, you can be sure of being as healthy as can be. Do you believe that cigarettes are your friend? Do they relax you? Do they distress you? In reality, all you have is nicotine addiction. Within seconds after smoking it goes to your brain causing a temporary high, over and over you smoke again to get the same feeling. Smoking makes your heart beat faster and makes your nicotine receptors cry for more. Smoking also makes you look older, increases the risk of heart attack and not to forget drains you from the extra cash that could have been handy in difficult times. So if you want to quit smoking then it's a very wise move. Here a few simple tips that could help you to get rid from your habit of smoking: Make a plan : Make a smoking quit plan for yourself, may be a date till when you think you will be able to quit smoking forever and do not deviate from your plan. Majority of people who quit smoking do so without any outside help, by following their own quit plan. If you do somehow deviate from your plan then start again. Keep it going until you finally do it. Therapy : Work together with the counsellor or a therapist to find ways not to smoke. Find your triggers, things that trigger the temptations of smoking in you, avoid them for a while until you build immunity unless those things does not tempt you any further. Nicotine Replacement : Cigarettes in reality satiate the nicotine hunger in you, therefore finding an alternative like nicotine patches or gums can reduce your desire to light up a cigarette. Also while trying to quit smoking keep lots of lollipops and candy with you. So whenever you feel like smoking, pop a candy or suck on a lollipop, it controls your desire to smoke. Stay away from smoking zones : The first few days into the mission could be your toughest. Seeing someone smoke a cigarette may also trigger your desire, therefore avoid those places and even friends in early days who smoke. This may also keep your desire under control. Find a new hobby : Try keeping yourself engaged and your hands busy. Do something that excites you, so that the balance to your conscience shifts towards your hobby and doesn't remind you of getting few puffs any more. The road to quit smoking is not easy but if you persist and manage to quit smoking, you would have rewarded yourself with a healthy and prosperous life.

Watch more How to Quit Smoking videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501815-What-Are-the-Side-Effects-of-Quitting-Quit-Smoking Side effects of quitting smoking. Boy! What a big topic that is. So there are wonderful side effects and there are some side effects that are little painful and very uncomfortable at times. Either way they are still side effects. Most people see smoking as just being some bad habit, just one little piece, just one little aspect of their lives that they wish didn’t happen once they are thinking of quitting. However I’m here to tell you that it goes through the threat of your entire life if you are anything like me. I was a pack a day smoker for many years, and I did everything, I smoked over everything, I smoked with everything, so it went through every aspect of my life. So there were great side effects, good side effects, bad side effects and hopeless side effects. Focus on the really good ones. Focus on the fact that you won’t smell bad, you won’t look bad, you’ll have one less thing that people will be getting on your nerves about saying, WHY DON’T YA? That’s always very helpful and in fact that should you’ll be teaching people, if you have children you will be showing them that you can overcome the most difficult things. So those are the good side effects. Some of the bad side effects can be that, well maybe good actually; you might have to get rid of some people in your life. But, some of those people you may not want in your life anyway. Either way you are going to stay away from some people for a little while. Even people you love if they still smoke because that’s too triggering. And the other side effects can be really bad also like a little, weight gain, but I’m here to tell you, I gained some weight, I don’t know if you could see, but I think you can that I’m not crazily overweight anymore. Because one of the good side effects came out of that bad side effect. I gained some weight which made me decide to start exercising, which ended up being a good side effect. So you’re getting the drift? It’s a big life change and it’s a day at a time and it’s a process. So get into your process, don’t be afraid of it, get excited about, of where you are going to end up.

For some people it is very hard to stop smoking. In this video experts from the Mayo Clinic explain why. The video illustrates the way in which cigarettes deliver nicotine to the brain causing changes in the brain that lead to addiction. When a person stops smoking they often experience difficult withdrawal symptoms and powerful urges to smoke. The urges and withdrawal symptoms make quitting very hard for many smokers. But hope and help for smokers can be found at the Mayo Clinic website, http://www.mayoclinic.org/ndc-rst/

Dr. Berg discourages smoking and shares some tips to quit smoking. The best way to quit smoking is do it gradually. He talks about side effects of quitting smoking and other ways to stop smoking without causing harm to the body. The best way to quit smoking is to build up the raw materials for the neurotransmitters. Nicotine triggers certain neurotransmitters, which vasodilate the coronary artery and the bronchial tubes, which give you a sense of stress relief, but in reality, it's just the opposite, especially over time. Dr. Berg recommends making the transition with added amino acids so as to build up the neurotransmitters and support the adrenal glands. *Phenylalanine *Tryrosine *L-dopa *B-vitamins (Nutritional Yeast) For more information about Dr. Berg's program in Alexandria, Virginia, call 703-354-7336. Watch more How to Quit Smoking videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501810-How-to-Deal-with-a-Nicotine-Withdrawal-Quit-Smoking There are two types of withdrawal from nicotine. There is physical withdrawal and there is emotional withdrawal. For the physical withdrawal there are nicotine replacement therapies which have nicotine in them and will help you withdraw slowly physically. Nicotine addiction is 80 percent psychological, it's 20 percent physical. Either way it can be a very difficult withdrawal. One of the first suggestions I have is to treat yourself like a little kid, like a child. Get plenty of rest. Eat proper nutritious meals. Nap when you're tired if you can. Take walks around the block. Or, if you live near a body of water or in the mountains, take a beautiful walk and look at the sky. Deep breathe. Breathe in and out. Drink a lot of water. That will also help you with cravings. And the deep breathing will help you when you're feeling panicky and full of anxiety. It's the first thing a paramedic will tell you when you're feeling terrified. When you see a tragic accident a paramedic would tell you, take deep breaths slowly in through your nose and out through your mouth. Well, it works the same way with the nicotine withdrawal. There are many things that you can do to also help you with nicotine withdrawal. Don't let yourself get too lonely. I've already mentioned tired. If you're angry try to deep breathe. Try to talk it out with a friend whatever's going on, because these things can be exacerbated by the withdrawal. You could end up picking up a cigarette instead of dealing with the actual situation. I recommend you try all of these things. Please, reward yourself. Be good to yourself. Don't pick up a cigarette.

Watch more How to Quit Smoking videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501818-How-to-Deal-with-a-Relapse-Quit-Smoking If you've quit for a short time or a longer time and you find yourself picking up a cigarette and smoking. Most likely you're gonna feel little nauseous, little dizzy, you might even throw up. That's the nicotine entering your body saying "What are you doing? What are you putting in me?" Your body is screaming out "Poison!, poison! Danger Will Robinson!" For those of you that are my age you know what that means. It's your body rejecting but after you have a couple of cigarettes your body adapts and now it feels good again and the nausea goes away and now you're in full relapse. I wanna tell you two things. If you've take those first few pops of a cigarette and you feel that feeling and you say "Oh, why did I do it?". Let it go. Call the lapse in judgement. Don't call it a relapse and just keep moving on. Keep your quit day or whatever it is however long you've been smoke free and learn from that mistake. Don't pick up even one, not even one puff. However, if you're hearing this and you've already smoke several cigarettes or maybe a smoking a couple of days already here's what you do. Three things. One, set a new quit day. Tomorrow. Not next week. Not next month but tomorrow. Get whatever you gonna use to help you. Maybe you just need a little seven milligram patch or a little gum. It depends on how long you've been smoking again. Second thing you wanna do is call somebody and tell them "I relapse and I'm quitting again tomorrow". So now you've become you're reporting yourself. You've become accountable for your quits and your relapse. And the third thing that I want you to do is take yourself out for a nice ice cream, a nice meal. Treat yourself to something really nice. Whatever you do don't beat yourself up because if you beat yourself up you just gonna keep smoking. It's not gonna help you. But give yourself a little reward for setting a new quit date and for telling somebody and becoming accountable. It really works. It's called the relapse plan.

UPDATE - I have been using CBD to quit smoking. "This is the CBD I recommend": http://www.cbdpure.com?AFFID=331182 I've also made an updated video which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRVHYYqwS2o I want to summarize what this video is about, keep in mind this video is not scripted and is of my personal experience quitting weed and what's working for me. Currently I'm on day 5 of no smoking after 4 years of addiction. Rule 1. You need to break away from your environment, that's one of the biggest fights. In the video i suggest disbanding from friends, temporarily. B But breaking away from your environment means so much more, what are your triggers ? You have to break away from your triggers/environment, for me it was friends, so that's why i recommend temporarily going solo. Rule 2. You need proper sleep. It's a complete bitch to sleep when you're quitting weed. Your brain doesn't produce the chemicals to put you to sleep. If you'll take Melatonin, it will re-create that 1 chemical to help you sleep but it's natural and non addictive. Use it temporarily, the first week is the hardest to sleep. Rule 3. NUTRITION. You must eat, but it's not fun and all food tastes like shit, your body will hate eating and will refuse food. (feeling like throwing up) With weight gainer, i can easily drink down 400-600 calories from weight gainer and not need to eat. You need the calories to stay focused, you can't fight your hardest battle without being well prepared, so nutrition is extremely important. You must eat, if eating is too difficult, you can resort to drinking your meals, like i've been doing. The weight gainer has been my solution to stay well fed and keep focused, without being forced to eat, plus there's no more feelings of throwing up BECAUSE I'M NOT EATING! If you try to quit, these 3 rules will help you so much, but if you're not even at the stage of quitting, then you need to start preparing for when you do quit. Destroy all your paraphernalia, cut your money source and fight because you can't keep going how you have been, it's time for a change.

Stop Smoking Tips - http://bit.ly/1iAjyXE - Quitting smoking is not simple and easy. It usually is the complete opposite. It is a long and hard process. It will be difficult for the first few days and weeks. Smokers, who want to quit, have to endure many obstacles during this process. One of those obstacles is to overcome those pesky cravings and yes, those cravings are for real. They are those times when you really need to take a puff of that cigarette, so you can relax. You may wonder why you get those cravings. You need to remember that you were not only psychologically addicted to smoking, but you were also physiologically addicted. As you are dealing with those cravings and urgings, you may also notice you're feeling a bit moody -- feeling irritable, anxious, angry and sometimes depressed. Your heart rate and blood pressure may also fluctuate at times. It's normal. You're going through nicotine withdrawals. You get those feelings, because you're coming down from your dependence of nicotine. To help combat these cravings • Keep some substitutes handy that you can suck on or chew. • Buy some sugar-free gum or hard candy. • To be healthier, you may want to buy some carrots, celery sticks, raisins or apples. Those are just a few. • Just some small foods, because cravings won't last too long before it goes away. • Know that irritability, anxiety, anger and depression are normal feelings after quitting. • It will get better with time. It should be less intense after approximately two weeks. • See your doctor if these feelings last more than a month. • Take out a match. Then take a deep breath while you light that match. Hold it for a few seconds. And then exhale slowly and blow out the match. • Pretend it's that perfect cigarette. • You will more than likely feel better. Stop Smoking Tips CLICK HERE: http://bit.ly/1iAjyXE • Go for a short walk around the block • Exercise is always good and it can relieve your stress. • Start off slow at first. • It will make you get healthier. • Take a shower or bath. • It will relieve your stress and make you fresh and clean. • Light a candle instead of a cigarette. • It helps make the room smell nice. • The nice aroma will relieve your stress. • Learn to relax quickly and deeply. • Try and think of a better place. Feel the tension slip away. • Try a new hobby. • It will keep your mind occupied. • Wear a rubber band around your wrist. Whenever you feel a craving, just snap it against your wrist to remind yourself of all the unpleasant reasons that made you want to quit in the first place. • Remember to always wear a rubber band. • It will keep you in line. And finally, cravings are normal when you try to quit smoking. It's a part of the process. If you have the courage and willpower, you can overcome all these cravings as well as the withdrawal symptoms. They don't last too long. If you are able to deal with it for a couple weeks, you can quit smoking.
