Vectors in PowerPoint - Inserting, Ungrouping, Designing - PowerPoint Animation Tutorial

09:59
This PowerPoint tutorial shows how to insert and use free vector images in PowerPoint to make your own custom animations and designs. I now use Freepik to get free vectors (just download the EPS version of the file, then use Cloudconvert to convert to an EMF file, then use the same ungrouping process), since the MS Clipart site (shown in the video) is no longer in service. If you want to practice with the files in this video, you can get them from the free download link here: https://nutsandboltsspeedtraining.com/freebie-vectors-in-powerpoint/ You can also get a written tutorial of this effect on my blog here: bit.ly/1W3qKgI To make your custom designs, you just drag or insert the vectors into PowerPoint, then ungroup them to get all of the pieces of the picture to work with. You can then modify each piece of the picture and then animate it as you like. In this particular video, I show a beach scene with a woman who’s relaxing in the sun, but you can use whatever vector images you want and make everything you desire. The animation style here (gradually building onto the slide) can also be applied to photos and other types of pictures using the "remove background" or "set transparent color" features. Endless possibilities exist with this really cool PowerPoint trick – hopefully this video inspires new ideas! ► Download the sample file (just search for this video): http://bit.ly/SpicyFreebies ⚑ SUBSCRIBE: http://Bit.Ly/Spicy-YouTube-Subscribe ► Grab 4 Free Lessons From My Spicy Animations Course http://bit.ly/PPT-Animations-Mini-Course ► Get the Slides from My YouTube Tutorials http://bit.ly/Spicy-Slides ► Follow me on Twitter (if you want to hear from me more often)! http://bit.ly/FollowSpice ► For truly mind-blowing PowerPoint hacks and shortcuts, check out this free PowerPoint “speed course” from my friends Taylor and Camille of Nuts & Bolts Speed Training: http://bit.ly/PPT-Hacks-Mini-Course

How to Tell a Bible Story: What s in the Bag? Presented by The Scripture Lady

07:39
What’s in the Bag - Here is a creative way of how to tell a Bible story to kids to keep them engaged and listening. Read the following “transcript” of this video and learn how to tell a Bible story using the creative idea called “What’s in the Bag?” If you’d like some great Bible review games or Bible verse songs for your kids, go to http://scriptureladyshop.com/ for creative resources for your children. I learned about this creative form of Bible storytelling from a children's curriculum writer named Tina Houser. I highly encourage you to go online for her great curriculum for the Christian classroom. She is fun, energetic and an inspiration to me in my own ministry. For this form of Bible storytelling, you are going to take any Bible story and separate it into a number of sections. So, if you chose the story of "Creation," that really lends itself nicely to be separated into 7 sections because there are 7 days to the story of "Creation." Then you will find an object that best describes or depicts each part of the story. You will place each object inside a bag. For example, I went to my local "dollar" store and bought colorful bags and then went to my computer and created colorful number stickers that I placed on the front of each bag. Sticking with the story of "Creation" I separated my story into 8 sections and I chose the following objects to place in each bag: Bag One: A flashlight (Let there be light. Genesis 1:1-5) Bag Two: Cotton balls (Let there be sky. Genesis 1:6-8) Bag Three: Dirt (Let there be dry land. Genesis 1:9-13) Bag Four: Suntan lotion, a toy star, and some swiss cheese (Let there be sun, moon and stars. Genesis 1:14-19) Bag Five: Toy birds and fish (Let there be fish and birds. Genesis 1:20-23) Bag Six: A Barbie doll and a boy hero action figure. (Let there be people. Genesis 1:24-31) Bag Seven: A sleeping mask. (God rested on the 7th day. Genesis 2:1-3) Bag Eight: A bag of candy to give out to the class to end by saying, "And God saw all that He had made and said that it was very good!" Genesis 1:31 Once you have all the bags filled, you will hand out a bag to each child. If you have less than 8 children, you can double up on the bags, if more than 8. the children will have to take turns. You will then begin telling the story of "Creation" by asking, "Who has bag #1?" That child should come forward and pull out the object from the bag. As he pulls out the flashlight, you might say, "Hey, what does a flashlight have to do with the story of Creation?" Wait for his answer, then proceed to tell the first part of the story of Creation either from your Bible or perhaps with Power Point slides. Continue to ask each child to come up with the next bag until all the bags have been brought forward and the full story has been told. "What's in the Bag?" is a very fun and engaging way to tell a Bible story. It uses fun everyday objects that you can probably find around your house or at your local "dollar" store. This form of Bible storytelling is great for both preschoolers and elementary children. =========================================== **Click Below to SUBSCRIBE for More Videos: https://www.youtube.com/thescripturelady ======================================= Kathy Vincent The Scripture Lady http://scripturelady.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/scripturelady Pinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/scripturelady/ Get 12 Downloadable Resources for FREE! Record Screen Capture Video, Convert PowerPoint To Flash Using Jing

03:29
Go to http://www.2webvideo.com/course/ to learn making training video. In this tutorial we will see how to record a screen capture video using Jing, a TechSmith product, the makers of Camtasia Studio. The screen capture is that of a PowerPoint presentation. So in this way it is also possible to convert PowerPoint to flash video with Jing. Jing is actually a screen recorder that records anything that happens on the computer screen and converts them to flash movie. Jing has a Pro version but the free version is very good for starters. To install Jing you need Microsoft's .NET Framework 3.0 already installed in your computer. Once you install Jing it appears like a half-Sun in the middle of the top of the screen. As you move your mouse, the Jing-Sun branches into 3 rays. The left one is the all-important button for capturing video or static images off computer screen. The right button when clicked brings up a bigger circle that has more options to control Jing. Let me move on to the PowerPoint animation that I want to record with Jing to convert to flash movie. As I click on the left button, an adjustable cross-hair pair of yellow lines comes with which I converge on the actual PowerPoint animation. Notice, as I change the recording area, the figures defining the changing size also change constantly. Okay, the final capture size comes to 497x373 pixels. I now click the Capture Video button to start the screen recording of the PowerPoint animation. The recording continues for 22 seconds after which I save the flash file automatically created by Jing in my computer. For the purpose of explaining here I put the flash file on a webpage which is what you now see. Since I have used the free version of Jing, its logo appears on the flash movie. The Pro version will not have this. As I play the flash movie, notice that the play control ribbon is within the movie area. It disappears soon enough as the movie moves on. Right-clicking on the page allows me to view the page source. As you can see the HTML code for the flash movie is pretty simple. Also, the advantage here is that the SWF flash movie already has the play controls built into it. That ends this lesson on recording screen capture video and converting PowerPoint to flash movie using Jing. Thanks for watching.

Earth's Place in the Universe (NGSS)

00:51
This product was designed to help students realize Earth's Place in the Universe (NGSS). It's a Powerpoint Presentation and you can buy it at my TpT Store: https://goo.gl/kOaQuP Or at my Educents Store: http://goo.gl/nvb5SB This product helps students to better understand: - Earth's place in the universe; - Earth's orbit and rotation movements; - The Moon's orbit around Earth; - The existence of seasons, day and night and other patterns; - The occurrence of solar and lunar eclipses; - The phases of the Moon; - The apparent movement of the sun. It provides suggestions for research projects and great science fair ideas. It also has a great collection of pictures that will amaze your students. NGSS: 5-ESS1 Earth’s Place in the Universe: ESS1.A: The Universe and its Stars - The sun is a star that appears larger and brighter than other stars because it is closer. Stars range greatly in their distance from Earth. (5-ESS1-1) ESS1.B: Earth and the Solar System - The orbits of Earth around the sun and of the moon around Earth, together with the rotation of Earth about an axis between its North and South poles, cause observable patterns. These include day and night; daily changes in the length and direction of shadows; and different positions of the sun, moon, and stars at different times of the day, month, and year. (5-ESS1-2) MS-ESS1 Earth’s Place in the Universe: ESS1.A: The Universe and Its Stars - Patterns of the apparent motion of the sun, the moon, and stars in the sky can be observed, described, predicted, and explained with models. (MS-ESS1-1) - Earth and its solar system are part of the Milky Way galaxy, which is one of many galaxies in the universe. (MS-ESS1-2) ESS1.B: Earth and the Solar System - This model of the solar system can explain eclipses of the sun and the moon. Earth’s spin axis is fixed in direction over the short-term but tilted relative to its orbit around the sun. The seasons are a result of that tilt and are caused by the differential intensity of sunlight on different areas of Earth across the year. (MS-ESS1-1)

Called coronal mass ejections, these eruptions can cause serious damage when they reach our planet by disrupting satellites and other communication devices. Our TV may not work, our cell phones will be down, a high speed train may run loose and if an astronaut happens to be on the moon at the time when the sun erupts, he or she would be in great danger. NASA uses satellites such as the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), to predict these events so that we have a warning of at least 2-3 days to protect our expensive communication devices during a solar eruption. SOHO is just one of the instruments that NASA uses to help scientists understand our sun better along with other satellites and large observatories on Earth.
