The OMF 2018-2020 Strategic Plan was created through an inclusive process involving OMF employees, City bureaus, and City Council, which guided the development of the three strategies outlined within. You can view our strategic plan here: https://www.portlandoregon.gov/OMF/article/672302 The plan is a guide to focus our efforts in the same direction throughout the organization. It will also provide our customers and partners an understanding of our priorities and a tool for holding us accountable. The City of Portland is rapidly growing, with projections of continued growth well into the future. OMF services are stretched to their capacity, and systems and processes often focus on a more resource rich environment or past practices. The way OMF does business must evolve to keep pace, and this plan will be a roadmap for our new direction.

The Portland Police Bureau has started the process of developing a Strategic Plan that will guide us over the next five years. This Strategic Plan will direct our course. It will encompass my three goals: Crime prevention and reduction; community engagement and inclusion; and organizational excellence, as well as the six pillars of 21st Century Policing: • Building Trust and Legitimacy. ... • Policy and Oversight. ... • Technology and Social Media. ... • Community Policing and Crime Reduction. ... • Officer Training and Education. ... • Officer Safety and Wellness. .. This process will be inclusive, collaborative and transparent. And that means we need our community’s help! We will be talking to key partners, elected officials and community members, to gather insights and feedback. As part of the process, there will be 15 community focus groups and two public forums. There will also be a community survey. I urge you to be a part of this process and provide thoughtful feedback, so that once completed, we will have a solid, cohesive Strategic Plan that will direct the Portland Police Bureau in serving our City for years to come. Thank you. http://www.portlandoregon.gov/police/stratplan

Portland’s Central City is growing. Encompassing downtown, the Central Eastside and surrounding neighborhoods, it is home to 32,000 people and supports 130,000 jobs, thousands of businesses and dozens of important institutions. We can’t make Central City streets wider, but we can invest the existing roads, sidewalks, bike lanes and crossings to make the transportation system work better for everyone. To accommodate more users on our existing street system in a way that provides affordable transportation options, we need to invest in the Central City’s transportation network. Central City in Motion is Portland’s plan for strategic investments in our streets to create a smart, 21st century transportation system in the Central City. Our goal is to make the entire street system work better, providing more predictable travel times for businesses and residents. Tell us what you think about the proposed improvements in our online open house at www.centralcityinmotion.com. Learn more at https://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/ccim

Joining the podcast this week are two guests with a collective knowledge of how technology can streamline the process of event and meeting planning. CEO of Hubb Allison Magyar joined us from Portland, Oregon, whilst Social Tables' Senior Community Manager Laura Lopez joined us from Washington D.C. During the podcast, both Allison and Laura endorsed the idea of time investment, suggesting that the time spent learning how to use a new type of technology will ultimately be paid back by the time saved further down the line. Both guests also looked at the long-term strategic opportunities that are created by reducing the time spent ticking off tasks, giving organisers more chance to plan long-term goals and analyse targets.

Nutcase Helmets (located in Portland, Oregon) is one of many businesses highlighted in this video series for OSBDC's Grow Oregon campaign. Oregon Small Business Development Center: www.bizcenter.org Nutcase Helmets: www.nutcasehelmets.com Closed Captions: Nutcase Helmets is a lifestyle helmet company. We make very graphic multi-sport helmets that are really easy to wear and easy to get around. You know, bicycle skate, snowboard in them. The graphics combined with the name has been a big part of our success. We enrolled in Grow Oregon because we are growing so fast but we can't keep up with all the things that we need to learn and understand how to do. We have issues from growing internationally like I described before with all of our distributors. Grow Oregon has all kinds of services. They expanded upon who are consumer profiles are, what kind of stores we need to be targeting, what kind of markets we need to go after. They helped us to define what our program should be, from website, from a development, from an engagement perspective but also ongoing training so we have that knowledge in-house to grow it on our own. What Grow Oregons helped us define what our goals are, what our strategic plan needs to be a year out, two, three. The value of the services provided by Grow Oregon are really qualitative. It's difficult to put a number to what they are but it's important understand that what they provide is very practical and applicable. With Grow Oregon and the support that we've had with them, is now going to aid us in our own planning to be able to find what our most important things are to grow. We still wanna grow and be the galactic dominating helmet creative brand.

More info - http://epicdesignlabs.com/the-components-of-the-marketing-plan/ A great marketing strategy is necessary to achieving success as a business. Effectively preparing a successful advertising and marketing strategy has three steps: scenario analysis, market-product focus and also goal setting, and also the advertising and marketing program. Scenario analysis is also referred to as SWOT analysis. SWOT represents strengths, weak points, opportunities, and also threats. These four issues need to by assessed. It is not constantly essential to react in all four areas, it could be best to concentrate on any or all parts. A firm's staminas as well as weaknesses are internal elements. They can be affected. On the other hand, there is no control over external elements, such as opportunities as well as risks. Appropriate SWOT analysis includes four aspects: recognizing client trends, examining competitors, a company evaluating itself, and researching customers. SWOT analysis of a web site which delivers food may identify that rivals will certainly soon supply more organic food items. This is a possible danger to the firm, and in response it may be prudent to boost the choice of health food, possibly at a far better worth. Of course, it would certainly should be figured out to what level existing clients have an interest in health food, as well as just how sales would certainly be affected if a much better choice were offered in other places. On the other hand, buyers might seek out the site due to its choice of European chocolates. This is a strength to business, which the store might opt to increase on. The supply of delicious chocolate could be raised, or the present option could be promoted more in order to drive up sales. The two problems could be combined, by providing even more natural chocolate. It is extremely important to comprehend that the advertising setting is powerful, suggesting that it is continuously changing. Because of this it is essential to perform SWOT evaluations on a regular basis. marketing plan marketing plan template marketing plan outline marketing plan definition marketing planning process marketing plan executive summary marketing plan steps marketing plan components strategic marketing plan components integrated marketing plan components marketing plan key components marketing plan essential components global marketing plan components digital marketing plan components effective marketing plan components marketing communications plan components international marketing plan components swot analysis swot swot analysis example swot template swot definition swot chart swott analysis swot analysis of apple Tags: portland seo services, portland seo company, portland seo, portland, seo, search engine optimization (industry), oregon, portland, marketing, seo, seo portland, portland seo, portland website marketing, portland search engine marketing, portland seo services, search engine marketing (website category), seo in portland, portland seo agency, portland seo Get social with us: http://epicdesignlabs.com/ https://www.facebook.com/EpicDesignLabs https://www.youtube.com/user/EpicDesignLabs https://www.linkedin.com/company/epic-design-labs http://www.yelp.com/biz/epic-design-labs-portland http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Epic.Design.Labs.503-536-7350 https://twitter.com/EpicDesignLabs https://plus.google.com/117667418178913917495

This event was livemixed/livestreamed from Dorchester MA, Sunday 22 October 2017, 383 Blue Hill Ave, Nation of Islam Grove Hall 4:00pm Eastern Christopher Bollyn's last presentation during his 2017 seven week USA tour. Who planned, executed, and covered up the worst terrorist attack in history? Christopher Bollyn explains WHO DID 9/11, their specific roles, and the underlying strategic agenda for this devastating FALSE FLAG ATTACK. The government and media have misled us about 9/11 in order to compel public opinion to support the War on Terror. Why have we gone along with this ugly deception? 32 million Muslims have been murdered since 9/11. When will Americans have enough retribution? Do we accept endless war as normal? Are we numb to the suffering caused by our military interventions? No. We have simply been propagandized into submission. We have been deceived into thinking that the War on Terror is a good thing, a valiant struggle against terrorists who intend to attack us as we were on 9/11. Behind the War on Terror is a strategic plan crafted decades ago to redraw the map of the Middle East. 9/11 was a false-flag operation blamed on Muslims in order to start the military operation for that strategic plan. Recognizing the origin of the plan is crucial to understanding the deception that has changed our world. -- Produced: 2017, Episode: CB-NOI WD911, Category: Education, 2:33:02 -- More 911TV Films On PEGMedia http://www.pegmedia.org/index.php?q=msvr/showall/587/detail -- View This Show On YouTube: http://youtu.be/3tmqs8Xtrvk -- More 911TV Films On YouTube: http://youtube.com/911TVorg -- 911TV’s Blog http://Blog.911tv.org http://911tv.blogspot.com/2017/10/christopher-bollyn-10222017-who-really.html -- 911TV's Website http://www.911TV.org --

Like really hot. Many days are over 100 degrees. The second thing I learned is that Sacramento is livable, even with those high temperatures, thanks to its extensive tree canopy. The trees provide shade that makes me feel about 10-15 degrees cooler, and without them I probably would’ve moved a long time ago. https://www.expedia.com/Portland.d181420.Destination-Travel-Guides Portland, Saco, Cape Porpoise and Kennebunkport sit on the southern coastline of Maine. Part of Portland’s great charm is its working waterfront. Amble down Commercial Street and spend a few hours drifting around the many wharves and piers. Then, follow the salty breezes through the streets and lanes of the historic port district. Tour the ornate rooms of Victoria Mansion, and visit the historic home of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, one of America’s most beloved poets. Head west along Congress Street to the Portland Museum of Art. Many of the artists whose works feature here were inspired by Portland’s coastline, including one of the giants of American Art, Winslow Homer. Cross the Fore River to South Portland and peer through the gun ports of Historic Fort Preble. Just below the fort is the Spring Point Ledge Light, one of the smaller of Maine’s 57 active lighthouses, while just a few miles south, on Cape Elizabeth, stands one of New England’s most beautiful, Portland Head Light. Seven miles south of Portland is Scarborough, where families have been returning to sleepy havens like Higgins Beach for generations. From here, let the bend of Saco Bay sweep you further south to Saco, Cape Porpoise and Kennebunkport. On your way back to Portland, grab a ticket and take a ride at the Seashore Trolley Museum, the largest collection of streetcars in the world. Welcome to Portland. It’s more than just a city by the sea, it’s a song.

Portland's new police chief Danielle Outlaw was sworn in this morning, Jan. 22, during a ceremony at the Oregon Historical Society. The oath of office was given by Carmen Sylvester, the first Black woman patrol officer to be hired by the Portland Police Bureau in 1974. Rev. Dr. Leroy Haynes, pastor of the Allen Temple, delivered the invocation, while Mayor Ted Wheeler and actor Russell Hornsby gave remarks. Hornsby is best known for his portrayal of Detective Hank Griffin on the Portland-based NBC series "Grimm." Outlaw is the 48th Police Chief since 1870, when the Metropolitan Police Department was formed. She was selected as Chief of Police in August by Wheeler, following a national search. As a 19-year veteran of the Oakland Police Department, Chief Outlaw is the third woman to be police chief in Portland and the first African American woman to hold the position. http://www.theskanner.com/news/northwest/26410-portland-police-chief-outlaw-sworn-in

Metro, the elected regional government of the Portland area, is encouraging sustainable land use for future population growth through Making the Greatest Place. In 2005, Metro forecast that the Portland metropolitan region would grow by 600,000 people by 2030. To prepare for this growth, Metro initiated Making the Greatest Place, a comprehensive policy and investment effort, to direct growth toward central development and employment areas and transportation corridors while protecting farms and forestland. Transportation components include multimodal plans for regional transportation and Metro's Active Transportation partnership. Land use and development elements include identifying urban and rural reserves for future development or preservation and Metro's transit-oriented development program. This approach has helped facilitate increased travel choices: the average Portland resident drives four fewer miles per day than residents of other comparable U.S cities. Together, the programs and policies created by Making the Greatest Place are helping Portland's compact neighborhoods thrive and reducing the need to expand the region's urban growth boundary. In 2017, Sy Adler, Associate Dean of the School of Urban and Public Affairs at Portland State University, and Jim Irvine interviewed a series of key planners and advocates involved with Oregon's Statewide Planning Goal 10, which focuses on planning for and accommodating needed housing in the state. Don Mazziotti was the Community and Economic Development Director for the city of Beaverton from 2009 to 2013. He headed the Portland Development Commission from 2001 to 2005, served as Portland’s chief planner in the 1970s and acted as chief information officer for Oregon in the late 1990s. He also worked as the U.S. deputy assistant secretary of transportation under former Oregon governor Neil Goldschmidt. This oral history interview is part of "People and the Land," a collaboration between the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development and Portland State University. For the complete oral history collection, please visit http://pdxscholar.library.pdx.edu/planoregon_interviews/ The goal of this project is to document and preserve a record of Oregon’s land use program through the recording, transcription, collection and archiving of personal oral histories. The project is intended to enable Oregon’s statewide planning agency to make a significant, abiding contribution to the body of literature that records and analyzes the politics, policy, and practices that make Oregon's land use program unique. The Public Outreach Award visionPDX: Portland's Community Visioning Project Portland, Oregon Portland, Oregon, has a storied history of community engagement with residents, planners, and elected officials effectively working together to create better communities. With the city growing and becoming more diverse, the old ways of engaging people — public meetings, offering testimony at hearings — were not working as well anymore. Mayor Tom Potter sensed the need to realign the public with a shared vision for Portland's future. visionPDX was the result, a city-supported, community-led initiative to create a vision for Portland's development for the next 20 years and beyond. The project emphasized engaging traditionally under-represented and under-involved communities: from immigrant and refugees to sexual minorities to cultural creatives. visionPDX worked with three theater companies to create unique settings for dialogue. Mobile installations like the high-tech Vision Vessel and the grassroots T-Horse were used to interact with people in their communities. Almost 40 organizations were interviewed about barriers to engagement and ways to overcome them.

Neo-traditional planning, transit- oriented design, and modest retrofits of existing suburbs are shown. The main thesis of the video is that our dependence on the automobile is the direct result of how we build our cities. Oregon to San Francisco Planning Stage 4 of the Itinerary listing the things I want to see during the Stage for the circumnavigation of America on a Can-Am Spyder. But there are many things I would like to see that you viewers will know better than I as I get to your area and am asking for help and suggestions. Things I love are waterfalls (doh, I live in Niagara Falls), museums, oddball places and sites, country diners with good food, and the local people. I also love historical places, including burial sites of famous people, places where famous crimes or other events occurred and almost anything military, current or from the past. Would love to hear from you in the comments below and thus in a way include you on the journey.

In April 2006, Portlands City Council launched the Schools, Families, Housing initiative. It recognizes that city policies in areas like housing, transportation, and land use planning have critical impacts on the ability of schools to thrive in Portland, and the ability of students to thrive in schools. The initiative is a vehicle to achieve Portlands goal to be a great city for families with children. The Cully-Concordia Community Assessment began as a Schools, Families, Housing pilot project. The assessment explores how to increase and sustain the attractiveness and livability of the Cully-Concordia area for families with school-age children and for the community as a whole. It is intended to result in an action list of locally developed priorities, and the initiation of partnerships to follow through on these priorities. Video produced by John Cárdenas.
