How serious are health risks with Plavix?
http://www.gregjoneslaw.com For many years, Plavix was the recommended heart medication for patients with a gastrointestinal intolerance for aspirin. The drug's manufacurers, claimed that Plavix was not only more effective than aspirin in preventing heart attacks and strokes, but it also caused fewer ulcers and other gastrointestinal complications. However, recent studies have found that Plavix can cause serious bleeding ulcers and gastrointestinal hemorrhaging in some patients when taken alone or in combination with aspirin or other similar heart drugs. Research also shows that patients with no history of heart disease who are taking Plavix and aspirin combined have a twofold risk of heart attack, stroke, and death. You should NOT take Plavix if you have a medical history of ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, PUD, or have recently suffered a trauma or are anticipating an upcoming surgery. Talk to your physician about alternative drug therapy.

How to Avoid Blood Clots, a Stroke & Heart Attacks
Dr. Berg's New Book: https://bit.ly/2JWlgCR Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about avoiding blood clots, a stroke and a heart attack. The body is constantly forming clots and dissolving clots. a clot is called a thrombus, which is composed of mostly fibrin (65%), 20% platelets, 10% RBCs, 1% WBC and only 4% cholesterol. A very small fraction of cholesterol makes a clot. If there is high levels of PAI-1 (Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1), you will have an increased risk of getting getting a blood clot. This compound is an inhibitor of enzymes that keep the clot dissolved. It's an enzyme inhibitor. Now the question is what triggers clot formation: 1. Glucose 2. Pre-insulin and insulin 3. Glucocorticoids (cortisol) 4. Excess Estrogen increases the risk of blood clots by 7x. Preventing Strokes: Aspirin, Plavix, Coumadin, Pradaxa, or What?
A large clinical trial testing the effects of aspirin and Plavix to prevent small strokes was stopped because there was no added benefit by combining these drugs and the risk of bleeding was too high. This information was presented at the 2012 American Stroke Association meeting in February of 2012. A second abstract presented at the same conference showed that Coumadin and aspirin were equally effective in preventing deaths and strokes in patients with congestive heart failure. All of the drugs used to anticoagulate people in mainstream medicine, which includes, aspirin, Plavix, Coumadin, and Pradaxa are associated with potentially life-threatening bleeding. Coumadin also has the effect of causing osteoporosis and accelerating arteriosclerosis after just 2 years of treatment. Nutritional medicine offers several options that include fish oil, nattokinase, lumbrokinase, and ginkgo biloba, but they have been alll but ignored by MDs because there's not sufficient research to compare the effects of mainstream drugs to these nutrients. These studies should be done the by NIH! For more information please visit www.doctorsaputo.com

Cannabis use linked to gum disease - IN60
From Denver - Patients with heart attack are at particularly high risk of developing another heart attack or dying in the 30 days after they stop taking the anti-clotting medication clopidogrel. The risk of having another heart attack or dying was nearly twice as high when compared to another time. Current recommendations are that the medicine be used for 1 year following a heart attack that is treated medically or with a bare metal stent. From New Zealand - While smoking is known to raise the risk of gum disease, regular cannabis use may also be linked to this condition. In a study of over 900 subjects, which evaluated both cannabis use and periodontal disease, those in the highest cannabis exposure group had a 3 fold greater risk for having significant evidence of periodontal disease. And finally, from Seattle - A study is raising concern regarding the safety of baby shampoos, powders and lotions. In a study evaluating the urine of over 150 babies, researchers noted various levels of phthalates, a chemical that has been linked to reproductive problems in animals. Phthalates are a group of widely used chemicals that make plastic softer and help stabilize fragrance in personal care products. For Insidermedicine in 60, I'm Dr. Susan Sharma.

Alcohol and Blood Thinning Medications / Jennifer Friend, ANP
Alcohol intake can affect how the body metabolizes certain medications. Patients undergoing medication therapy should avoid drinking alcohol on a daily basis. Alcohol should be limited to no more than 1 to 2 servings of alcohol occasionally. The antiplatelet effect of alcohol increases the risk of major bleeding, even if the INR remains within the target range. In this video, Jennifer Friend, ANP, from Henrico Cardiology Associates, discusses the role alcohol can play in magnifying the effect of blood-thinning medications, commonly prescribed for heart problems. How to Recognize a mitral regurgitation medication|Leaking Heart Valve
How to Recognize a mitral regurgitation medication|Leaking Heart Valve Disclaimer:This Video only For Educational Purpose The heart valves enable your blood to pass between the different chambers of your heart. When they leak it is called regurgitation. This happens when blood flows back into the chamber it came from as the valve is closing or if the valve does not close completely. This can occur in any of the heart valves. Because leaks make the heart less efficient at pumping blood, they force the heart to work harder to pump the same amount of blood. Treatment may include medications or surgery, depending on the cause of the leak and its severity 1 Reduce your salt intake. A low-salt diet can help lower your blood pressure, which will in turn reduce the strain on your heart. It will not repair a defective valve, but it can reduce the likelihood that it will get worse. Even if surgery isn’t necessary for you, your doctor may still recommend you eat a low-salt diet.[10][11] Depending on how high your blood pressure is, your doctor may want you to reduce your salt intake to 2,300 or even 1,500 mg per day. Some people eat as much as 3,500 mg per day. You can reduce your salt intake by avoiding salted processed foods and canned foods with salt added. Avoid adding table salt to your food, salting meat when you cook it, or salting rice and pasta water. 2 Lower your heart attack risk with medications. Which medications your doctor recommends will depend on your particular situation and medical history. If you are at a high risk of having blood clots or high blood pressure, your doctor will probably prescribe medications for those conditions. Medications will not repair a leaky valve, but they can improve conditions that make the leakage worse, like high blood pressure. Possible medications include:[12] Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. These are common blood pressure medications for mild mitral regurgitation.[13] Anticoagulants such as aspirin, warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven) and clopidogrel (Plavix). Blood clots can cause strokes and heart attacks. These medications reduce the probability that you will develop a blood clot. Diuretics. These medications prevent you from retaining too much water. If poor circulation is causing your legs, ankles and feet to swell, you may be prescribed diuretics. They will also reduce your blood pressure. Diuretics can be used to relieve swelling caused by a tricuspid regurgitation.[14] Statins. These medications lower cholesterol. High cholesterol is often associated with high blood pressure and it may exacerbate the leakage. Beta blockers. Beta blockers reduce the rate and force at which your heart beats. This reduces your blood pressure and can reduce the strain on your heart. 3 Repair a leaking valve. The standard way to repair a faulty valve is through surgery. If you have a valve repaired, be sure to go to a cardiac surgeon who specializes in valve repair. This will give you the best chances for a successful surgery. Valves can be repaired through:[15][16] Annuloplasty. If you have structural problems with the tissue around the valve, it can be reinforced by implanting a ring around the valve. Surgery on the valve itself or the supporting tissues. If the valve itself has been damaged through infection or injury, it may be necessary to repair the valve itself to stop the leak. Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). This is a newer, minimally invasive option for people who are unable to undergo open chest surgery. Aspirin Side Effects + 7 Natural & Safe Alternatives
https://draxe.com/aspirin-side-effects/ Aspirin Side Effects + 7 Natural & Safe Alternatives If you find yourself taking an aspirin a day for heart attack and stroke prevention or to deal with painful inflammation, there are some aspirin side effects that you’ll want to consider first. There are also natural alternatives for aspirin that are deemed safer for your health. We’ve been told about the dangers of NSAIDs, but why do so many people overlook warnings when it comes to aspirin? It may be because aspirin works to reduce hormone-like substances in the body that promote inflammation and blood clotting. But I’d argue that some people who are taking aspirin regularly for a long period of time are not at a great risk of vascular disease, and the potential aspirin side effects may outweigh the pill’s benefits. Here are some questions to ask yourself and hopefully answer with the help of this information: do I fit into the category of people who should be taking aspirin every day to prevent a second heart attack or stroke? And if so, is regular aspirin use right for me? What Is Aspirin? Aspirin was discovered in 1853, but it wasn’t until 1897 that it was used medicinally in powder form. Then the little white aspirin pill that we know today was introduced in 1915. The most active compound in aspirin, acetylsalicylic acid, was originally isolated from the bark of a willow tree. Did you know that this aspirin ingredient can also be found in beans, peas, jasmine and clover? The ancient Egyptians actually used willow bark to relieve pain long before they understood the benefits of salicylic acid. Other ingredients in aspirin include cornstarch, hypromellose, powdered cellulose, triacetin (a solvent) and carnauba wax. There are three main reasons that people take aspirin regularly: to relieve pain and reduce inflammation to prevent heart attack and stroke to reduce fevers For people with a history of heart attack, chest pain or ischemic stroke, aspirin is used as a preventive therapy. Aspirin is also taken to reduce the risk of cancer, especially colorectal cancer. (1) This little white pill is ingested at a jaw-dropping rate of 120 billion tablets per year, making it the first of the three most-used drugs in the world. You may be wondering, why do so many people take aspirin on a daily basis? It’s because aspirin use is recommended for males between the ages of 45 and 79, and females ages 55 to 79, to reduce their risk of heart attack and stroke. So it doesn’t look like aspirin use will be decreasing anytime soon, with these recommendations being made by researchers and doctors. (2) Aspirin works by reducing prostaglandins, which are hormone-like substances that control the body’s inflammatory responses and processes like blood flow and the formation of blood clots. This is how taking an aspirin can help to reduce your risk of stroke and heart attack, which are caused by clots in your coronary arteries or blood vessels.

Healthy Intervention: Treatment of Heart Disease
Janice B. Dennis, RN, BC, with Cardiovascular Consultants of St. Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, explains the treatment and medications involved in Heart Disease and angioplasty. The goal of angioplasty is to open arteries that are blocked with atherosclerotic plaque and is performed on the coronary arteries and on the periphery arteries. The procedure is performed in the Cardiac Catheterization lab. Coronary artery disease occurs when atherosclerotic plaque develops in the coronary arteries. Plaque (a steno sis, lesion, or blockage) is a complex accumulation of lipid material as well as cellular material that can grow overtime to obstruct the blood flow. This process is called atherosclerosis. Angina is a medical term describing the symptoms that occur when the heart muscle is deprived of blood flow. This can occur when the artery is partially obstructed (schemia), or when you have an acute rupture of plaque (what is involved in a heart attack). Restenosis is the achilies heel of an angioplasty procedure. Angioplasty restores blood flow to the heart and reduces symptoms. It does not change the course of coronary artery disease. The correct recipe of medications can reduce your risk of cardiac events or death by 75%. Coronary artery disease involves inflammation, blood clot, and the wall of the artery. Statins may reduce your LDL or bad cholesterol as well as reduce inflammation and the chance of a blood clot as well as help the wall of your artery work. The wall of your artery works in a triangle, with the thrombus, endothelial function, and inflammation. You will be prescribed two different types of medication: Antiplatelet agents including asprin and plavix, as well as cardioprotective medication. Cardioprotective medications reduce heart rate, blood pressure, and the workload of the heart. Another important medication will include cholesterol lowering medication such as Satins and omega-3 fish oils. for more information go to www.cardiotabs.com

Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) Diminish the Efficacy of Clopidogrel
In several observation studies, it has been suggested that a true pharmacologic interaction exists between clopidogrel (Plavix) and PPIs. Pharmacodynamic data suggest that competitive inhibition of CYP2C19 by PPIs decreases the availability of the active metabolite of clopidogrel and therefore diminishes its anti-platelet efficacy. This attenuation of anti-platelet effect of clopidogrel in conjunction with PPI has been supported in many platelet function studies and recent data has further shown that the decreased anti-platelet effect of clopidogrel translates into adverse cardiovascular outcomes. Half of the Hospital Patients for Atrial Fibrillation Get Blood Thinners
A new study found that half of the patients hospitalized with a heart rhythm disorder are not given blood-thinning drugs that reduce the risk of clots and stroke. Atrial fibrillation is a irregular heartbeat condition that puts people at a higher risk for clots and strokes. The study analyzed over a million admissions for the condition from 812 hospitals across the United States over a five year period. Their analysis showed that only 46 percent of those patients received blood thinners at discharge. But a co-author of the study stated that may not be bad news, as those medications are not safe in certain cases. http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2016/11/16/Many-atrial-fibrillation-patients-missing-out-on-blood-thinners/9551479326194/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

What is a Heart Attack and How is it Treated?
Janice B. Dennis, R.N., B.C., M-CNS, with Cardiovascular Consultants of St. Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, explains what is involved in a heart attack and answers the common questions regarding what exactly a heart attack is and how it can be treated. A heart attack (or myocardial infarction) occurs when there is an obstruction of blood flow through a coronary artery. The coronary artery supplies the heart with oxygen rich blood, allowing the heart to function and pump oxygen rich blood to the rest of the body. Coronary artery disease occurs when the inner lining of the artery develops plaque. Plaque can develop quickly and can form an unstable blockage within the artery. If this clog is not removed quickly a portion of the heart muscle can die, limiting the hearts effectiveness. Urgent coronary angioplasty to restore flow of blood is usually the treatment for a heart attack. A patients symptoms and a physical examination are important parts of diagnosing a heart attack. The time of onset of symptoms and the description of the discomfort, including location, quality and severity are important in determining how to treat the heart attack. Tests are done to evaluate the cardiac enzymes and an electric cardiogram is used to determine the severity of the attack. A code STEMI (or ST Elevated Myocardial Infarction) is activated when 100% of the artery is occluded. The emergency team, led by a board certified interventional cardiologist and a STEMI registered nursed, works to open the artery as quickly as possible. In the emergency department, the patient often receives oral antiplatelet medications (such as aspirin and plavix), IV medications (such as Intravenous Heparin and Narcotics). Ask the Specialist: Medication and Vascular Disease - Charles Russo, MD
http://www.ask-the-specialist.com/ For atherosclerotic heart disease, whether it involves the blood vessels of the heart, whether it's peripheral vascular disease or cerebral vascular disease, the mainstay of treatment, and the best and most effective treatment, are still the statins. Those are the medicines like Mevacor, Zocor, Lipator, Crestor, Pravachol. They still are the most effective medicines in lowering the cholesterol, they still have the highest rate of success in regressing the disease, making the fatty plaque melt away, maybe not completely but significantly in most cases, and decreasing the heart attack and stroke rate by more than 40% over the last 2 decades. In addition to that, we add medicines that inhibit platelets. Platelets are where blood clots start. Blood clots from ruptured plaques are what cause heart attacks and strokes primarily. Beyond aspirin there is a medicine called Plavix. Plavix is like a super aspirin. It inhibits platelets even more potently than the aspirin. We usually use it with aspirin to decrease the rate of events such as heart attacks and stroke.

10 Best Natural Blood Thinners - Complete Food List
Blood thinner medicines prevent blood clots from forming. Also, they keep existing blood clots from getting larger. Blood clots can stop the flow of blood to the lungs, heart, or brain which may lead to stroke or a heart attack. However, blood thinner medicines have some side effects such as - bleeding gums, nosebleeds, vaginal bleeding, heavier than normal menstrual, coughing up blood, brown or pink urine, vomiting blood, and black or red stools. Also, because these medicines work by interfering with the blood's ability to coagulate, you may also have trouble stopping the blood flow if you sustain even a minor injury. Luckily, there are a few natural blood thinners you can have in your diet to prevent blood clots, such as: #1 Turmeric - it comes from the Curcuma longa plant, that grows in India and other Southeast Asian countries. Curcumin, the main component of turmeric, has a variety of health benefits, including being a natural blood thinner. Moreover, turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory, a natural immune modulator, and is increasingly being acknowledged as a potent cancer preventive and cancer fighter. #2 Bromelain, an enzyme found in pineapple, is a natural blood thinner, as it can help lower the excessive adhesiveness of blood platelets. In addition, it promotes a healthy complexion and hair, overall lower weight, and increased energy. #3 Garlic - it has a mild inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation (one of the first stages in blood clot formation), according to a 2001 study issued in "JAMA Internal Medicine." Some individuals also use garlic for the prevention of prostate cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, and rectal cancer. #4 Ginger - it is packed with salicylates, natural chemicals which help protect plants from disease and insect damage. Salicylates are also a major ingredient in aspirin and other pain-relieving medications. Foods containing salicylates are effective blood thinners since salicylates block vitamin K in the human body, hence, thinning the blood. #5 Ginkgo biloba, also known as gingko or ginkgo, has a compound called - Ginkgolide B which is known to reduce coagulation and increase blood flow to the brain and enhance memory. #6 Foods High In Vitamin E - vitamin E helps to prevent blood platelets from sticking together and causing clots. Vitamin E rich foods include - mustard greens, broccoli, blackberries, Swiss chard, almonds, sunflower seeds, spinach, collard greens, avocados, kale, kiwi, red bell peppers, mangoes, papaya, olives, apples, mamey sapote, and cranberries. #7 Foods High In Omega-3 Fatty Acids - omega-3 also decreases platelet aggregation, therefore, it acts as a natural blood thinner and lowers the chance of the formation of blood clots. The best source of omega-3 fatty acids is flax seeds. Other sources include - chia seeds, pinto beans, kale, red kidney beans, navy beans, pistachios, macadamia nuts, soybeans, mung beans, rice bran, walnuts, sesame seeds, and pecans. #8 Cayenne Pepper - it is a fast-acting natural blood thinner which in large quantities has the effect of a clot buster. Moreover, cayenne pepper has been used for heart attack recovery and relief from angina. It also helps increase the amount of heat the body produces, making it burn more calories for a few hours after consumption. #9 Cinnamon - it contains coumarin, a chemical which acts as a strong anticoagulant. Coumarin also has been used as both a food additive and as an ingredient in perfume due to its aromatic and sweet odor. #10 Tomatoes - they contain carotenoids, like - lycopene and lutein - which can protect the eye against light-induced damage. Also, lycopene inhibits platelet aggregation, thus, reducing the chance of blood clots. Tomatoes are also a good source of vitamin C, that can help combat the formation of free radicals. Notes - Staying hydrated can help thin your blood and sustain your cardiovascular system to function properly. It is recommended to drink half your body weight in ounces of water daily. For example, if you weigh 200 lbs., drink 100 ounces of water per day, which is 3 - 4 quarts a day or one gallon. Moderate daily physical exercise will also help thin the blood. Thank you. What is an heart attack
Myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flowdecreases or stops to a part of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort which may travel into the shoulder, arm, back, neck, or jaw. Often it occurs in the center or left side of the chest and lasts for more than a few minutes. The discomfort may occasionally feel like heartburn.Other symptoms may include shortness of breath, nausea, feeling faint, a cold sweat, or feeling tired.About 30% of people have atypical symptoms.Women more often have atypical symptoms than men.Among those over 75 years old, about 5% have had an MI with little or no history of symptoms. An MI may cause heart failure, an irregular heartbeat, cardiogenic shock, or cardiac arrest. SpecialtyCardiologySymptomsChest pain, shortness of breath, nausea, feeling faint, cold sweat, feeling tiredComplicationsHeart failure, irregular heartbeat, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrestCausesUsually coronary artery diseaseRisk factorsHigh blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, lack of exercise, obesity, high blood cholesterolDiagnostic methodElectrocardiograms(ECGs), blood tests, coronary angiographyTreatmentPercutaneous coronary intervention, thrombolysisMedicationAspirin, nitroglycerin, heparinPrognosisSTEMI 10% risk of death (developed world)Frequency15.9 million (2015) Most MIs occur due to coronary artery disease. Risk factors include high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, lack of exercise, obesity, high blood cholesterol, poor diet, and excessive alcohol intake, among others. The complete blockage of a coronary arterycaused by a rupture of an atherosclerotic plaque is usually the underlying mechanism of an MI.MIs are less commonly caused by coronary artery spasms, which may be due to cocaine, significant emotional stress, and extreme cold, among others.A number of tests are useful to help with diagnosis, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), blood tests, and coronary angiography. An ECG, which is a recording of the heart's electrical activity, may confirm an ST elevation MI (STEMI) if ST elevation is present.][14]Commonly used blood tests include troponinand less often creatine kinase MB. Treatment of an MI is time-critical. Aspirinis an appropriate immediate treatment for a suspected MI. Nitroglycerin or opioids may be used to help with chest pain; however, they do not improve overall outcomes.Supplemental oxygen is recommended in those with low oxygen levels or shortness of breath.[8] In a STEMI, treatments attempt to restore blood flow to the heart, and include percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), where the arteries are pushed open and may be stented, or thrombolysis, where the blockage is removed using medications.People who have a non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) are often managed with the blood thinner heparin, with the additional use of PCI in those at high risk. In people with blockages of multiple coronary arteries and diabetes, coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) may be recommended rather than angioplasty. After an MI, lifestyle modifications, along with long term treatment with aspirin, beta blockers, and statins, are typically recommended. Worldwide, about 15.9 million myocardial infarctions occurred in 2015. More than 3 million people had an ST elevation MI and more than 4 million had an NSTEMI.STEMIs occur about twice as often in men as women. About one million people have an MI each year in the United States. In the developed world the risk of death in those who have had an STEMI is about 10%. Rates of MI for a given age have decreased globally between 1990 and 2010.In 2011, AMI was one of the top five most expensive conditions during inpatient hospitalizations in the US, with a cost of about $11.5 billion for 612,000 hospital stays. 💗 The Most Powerful, All-Natural Solution For Improving Your Blood Flow Circulation
Improve your blood flow circulation naturally in only 30 days… Or receive a full refund + an additional $100.00 cash back: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/BoostBloodFlow Or go and watch this video revealing the best exercises for improving the blood flow to your legs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yH8fxEhguk =============================================== 💗 The Most Powerful, All-Natural Solution For Improving Your Blood Flow Circulation =============================================== Today I’m going to quickly discuss one of the most important aspects of your health, fitness and longevity … and that has to do with improving your blood flow and circulation… Not only will this help you avoid a heart attack or stroke you’ll ALSO look and feel younger! Improving your blood flow, is one of the most valuable and natural, “anti-aging” solutions! You see, most people don’t realize or have taken for granted, the fact that your blood contains Oxygen, which gives life to every cell in your body Proteins, to help repair and grow muscle, hair, skin, organs, bones, etc. Anti-aging hormones, which make you look and feel young … And enzymes, nutrients and everything you need to live… To grow, heal and thrive! Problem With poor blood flow Unfortunately, as we age and due to the negative changes in your hormones, your blood flow isn’t as strong as it used to be. Plaque, heavy metals and calcium builds up in your arteries, veins and blood vessels… Reducing circulation and thus, there’s less “life-promoting” oxygen getting to all your cells. Unfortunately, this results in less youthful hormones and nutrient-rich blood, being delivered to every muscle, organ and moving body part. And because of poor blood flow, your body slows down its internal healing and cleansing process. So, you begin to get sick more often. You feel tired and fatigued. You become more forgetful. You have more aches and pains and eventually, you start to get injured more readily and often. You skin loses that elasticity and youthful shine. Your hair begins to thin and look brittle and dry. And men, decreased blood flow is a primary reason you’re not performing as well in the bedroom anymore. Basically, you start to LOOK and FEEL “OLD”!... All because of poor blood flow and circulation! Now, when it comes to improving blood flow, doctors will either prescribe blood thinners (anticoagulants), such as Xarelto, Heparin, Warfarin or Coumadin. Or they’ll prescribe antiplatelet drugs, such as Plavix or aspirin. This is because there’s “plaque” buildup in your arteries and the opening gets smaller and thus, there’s less blood flow, which causes more pressure on your heart and body. By the way, this is a primary reason your BLOOD PRESSURE also goes up…. Because your arteries are smaller and it’s harder to get the blood through.! BUT, none of this addresses the MAIN problem – the actual plaque buildup and WHY the artery opening is SMALLER to begin with!?? … So what you REALLY want to focus on and why I formulated Blood Flow Optimizer™, is how you can -Decrease the plaque buildup and increase the openings in the vascular system – so you have better and bigger blood flow. -Strengthen the walls of your arteries and blood vessels, so they’re more pliable and flexible, to help prevent a rupture or tear. -Prevent future buildup of plaque, heavy metals and calcium. And that's why Blood Flow Optimizer™ is so effective. because you DON’T want to keep thinning your blood… Only focusing on “thinning your blood” is a faulty way to fix this problem. It’s a temporary “Band-Aid” and not a good one … Now, I formulated Blood Flow Optimizer™ based on what scientist have discovered in clinical research on humans… That about 9 specific vitamins and minerals… 5 natural herbal extracts 4 essential amino acids… that when combined together, in the correct ratio (very important!)… creates a synergistic effect that naturally helps improve your blood flow & circulation! And it does this through 7, scientifically proven mechanisms: Naturally thins your blood and helps improve circulation -Supports proper fibrin function and healthy blood clotting -Helps move calcium and other excess minerals out of your arteries and into your bones, where it belongs -Promotes strong, flexible blood vessels ================================================================================ Thank you for watching. What if your second heart attack never had to happen? Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, yet many people who have had heart attacks never start or continue their cardiac rehabilitation. Olympic Gold Medalist Kris Thorsness went to bed feeling like the healthiest 47-year-old person alive, and was wakened in the night by pain in her upper back. The hours that followed were shocking and life changing. Physical and mental rehabilitation for people who have suffered cardiac events are essential to a long and healthy life for every cardiac patient. 🚭 Causes & Natural Solutions For Improving Blood Flow & Circulation - Part 2
See Part 3: ►► http://drsam.co/yt/SeePart3 Or see my recommended solution for better blood flow: http://drsam.co/yt/BetterBF =============================================== Causes & Natural Solutions For Improving Blood Flow & Circulation - PART 2 =============================================== In my previous video, Martha, a subscriber... wanted to know how to improve blood flow to her legs and feet because she was having numbness and tingly sensations. Sometimes her hands and feet were cold and clammy. Other times she had restless legs or pain and heat - especially at night. Today I’m going to continue about this important topic because when you have poor blood flow and circulation, you’re in danger of suffering from numerous health problems and disease, such as: Heart Disease – stroke or heart attack, blood clots High Blood Pressure and kidney damage Diabetes – numbness in your extremities (hands and feet), amputation Mental & Memory – slow thinking, poor memory, Alzheimer’s, depression Muscle Loss – lack of nutrients to the muscles, weakness, fatigue as you get older Sexual Problems – erectile dysfunction affects most men over the age of 40 Accelerated Aging – skin, hair, poor eyesight, varicose veins, etc. Poor Sleep, insomnia, sleep apnea, etc. All of this is because your blood carries oxygen and nutrients to every organ and cell in your body. When there are restrictions, such as the narrowing of the arteries, plaque build-up, thick blood, and so forth… your body is not functioning optimally and nutrients aren’t being delivered to your cells, muscles, heart or brain. The Cause As stated in the previous video, aging makes blood flow worse and this is because of the negative changes in your hormones and neurotransmitters, due to aging. However, additional causes of poor blood flow and circulation7, which exacerbates this situation are Smoking Diabetes Obesity Poor diet Very little or improper exercise Stress Management Not enough sleep or rest Lack of key nutrients, vitamins and minerals The good news is that all of these causes are fixable and are under YOUR control. And that’s what I’m going to quickly discuss next… All Natural Solutions So there are lots of natural ways you can improve poor blood flow and circulation. You don’t have to take harmful drugs like Plavix or Coumadin or even Aspirin. Stop Smoking I think by now everyone knows how bad smoking is because it increases cholesterol, hardens the arteries and causes blood vessels to constrict. So if you smoke, make a decision and commit to STOPPING once and for all! Exercise Exercising daily is vital. Cardiovascular “aerobic” exercise is very important – jogging, running, swimming, biking are all great. Of course, daily brisk walking can be done by anyone, so you have no excuse not to get outside and take a 20-30 min walk daily or at least 3x weekly. But most people don’t know or realize that “anaerobic” muscle-building exercise, is just as important and maybe even MORE important than anaerobic. The more muscle you have, the better your blood flow, the bigger your arteries, the more flexible your blood vessels… Which all translates into greatly improve circulation from head to toe. Additionally, “resistance exercise” improves your hormones. And you don’t need much. Just 20-30 minutes, 2-3x weekly using cables or dumbbells at home is great. Even your own body weight is a fantastic start. Diet So the first thing to do is reduce or eliminate animal protein and animal fat. You should also reduce your sugar intake because high insulin levels corrodes your arteries and blood vessels. You should focus on eating more natural whole grains, sweet potatoes, fruits, vegetables, legumes, fish and nuts. And don’t forget the water… You should also eliminate all caffeine beverages because caffeine constricts your blood vessels and also increases the stress hormone, cortisol. Stress Management Speaking of the stress hormone, Cortisol … Even though we can’t stop or eliminate stress, you can certainly learn to manage how you REACT to stress, which is very important. This is because when you’re under heavy emotional stress, your adrenal glands secret lots of different hormones, which end up causing constriction of the blood vessels, arteries and so forth … causing anxiety and panic attacks. And if you’re not in the best of shape, this can easily lead to a heart attack or stroke. ================================================================================ Thank you for watching. Heart Attack Awareness Drill
FranciscanHealth.org Franciscan Health Lafayette East, in collaboration with Tippecanoe Emergency Ambulance Services (TEAS), Lafayette Fire Department and the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s department will be conducting a community Heart Attack drill at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, July 20 at the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair. Our goal is to help ensure our community understands the key risk factors for heart disease, recognizes the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and the importance of calling 911 so emergent intervention can be initiated immediately. As many of our staff understands, FSEH has a “STEMI Alert” which activates emergency processes prior to a patient arriving to Franciscan Health Lafayette East when they are having a heart attack. It is important our community fully understands the importance of activating the 911 system so emergency procedures can be initiated prior to the patient arriving at the hospital. Remember, time is muscle and the sooner we can intervene the better the patient’s outcome may be. Did you know? •According to the American Heart Association (AHA, 2015), cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death in the world and the leading cause of death in the United States, killing over 375,000 Americans a year. •Nearly half of all African-American adults have some form of cardiovascular disease, 48 percent of women and 46 percent of men. •The American Heart Association reported heart disease accounts for one in seven deaths in the U. S. and someone dies from heart disease about every 90 seconds. •Approximately 735,000 people in the U. S. have heart attacks each year and of those approximately 120,000 die (AHA, 2015). •About 635,000 people in the U. S. have a first-time heart attack each year, and about 300,000 have recurrent heart attacks (AHA, 2015). We invite you and your family to participate in the Community Heart Attack Drill so you can better understand why calling 911 is so very important. – Karen Bullard, Director of Cardiovascular Services Sources: American Heart Association.
