Patients with early stage of Knee Arthritis come to me at the age of 35 to 40 years, they are mainly youngsters who are gone to the gym or to a trek and they come with knee pain. There are another group of youngsters who come with rheumatoid arthritis, a little bit younger may be 30 to 35 years. These patients often come with pain on the inner aspect of the knee, swelling on the knee, a little bit of stiffness. So these are the main symptoms of Knee Arthritis. The main treatment for this early Arthritis is, it can be depicted by the mnemonic RICE meaning rest, ice, compression and elevation. Rest means stop the patient from doing those activities for 2 to 3 weeks Which gives them comfort. Ice the part or knee for around 10 to 15 minutes duration, 3 to 5 times a day with the help of gel packs, give some sort of compression as in crape compression and some amount of elevation this along with some amount of anti inflammatory medication and Physiotherapy should help the patient get back to his normal activities. One should know that this early Arthritis is quite common among youngsters. It is seen between 35 to 40 years because that's the age when the degeneration of the knee starts or setting it. So after a trek, a hill climb or a marathon these sort of pains are quite common there is nothing to get worried about this phenomenon.

8 Signs and Symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis is a serious autoimmune disease that attacks the joints and other body parts. But RA can be tough to diagnose. Symptoms can mimic other illnesses, or they may flare, then fade, only to flare again somewhere else. Lab tests aren’t perfect—you can test negative for RA factors and still have it. And X-rays don’t show signs until later on. Here are some tricky rheumatoid arthritis symptoms and hints that they’re due to RA and not some other condition. Hard to heal injuries It’s possible to think you have an injury—such as a sprained ankle that doesn’t seem to heal—when the symptoms are actually due to RA. This is more common in younger people, says Lisa A. Mandl, MD, MPH, assistant attending rheumatologist at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Numbness or tingling in the hands What happens is that the swelling in the arm compresses the nerves going into the hands. The sensation is often worse at night. If you go to a doctor with these symptoms and don’t have (or tell him or her about) other RA symptoms, you may be diagnosed only with carpal tunnel syndrome. Foot trouble One area in which people often have RA-related pain or inflammation is the forefoot. Women often stop wearing heels and head to a podiatrist due to the pain. Some people with RA may also develop pain in the heel because of plantar fasciitis, a common foot disorder caused by swelling of the tissue at the bottom of the foot, near the heel. Eye problems People with RA are also at risk for Sjogrens syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that can cause dryness of the eyes, mouth, nose, throat, or skin due to inflammation that stops glands from releasing moisture, This can happen even in the early stages of RA, but it’s unlikely to be the only symptom. Most people with dry eyes head to an eye doctor to find out the cause, but Dr. Mandl recommends telling your doctor—even an eye doctor or other specialist—about additional symptoms you’re having in any part of the body. Pairs of achy joints One of the most predominant symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis is aching in the joints. People often think their pain is due to overexertion or osteoarthritis, the type of arthritis common in old age. This achiness can also be misdiagnosed as fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome (fatigue is another symptom of RA). RA joint pain is not fleeting; it usually lasts longer than a week. It can also be symmetrical, meaning both hands, feet, knees, or ankles will be affected at the same time. Morning stiffness Another characteristic of rheumatoid arthritis is stiffness in the joints in the morning. Again, this is also a common problem in osteoarthritis, which can cause pain after long periods of inactivity, like sleeping. The difference between the two is that osteoarthritis pain usually subsides in about a half hour. Stiffness from rheumatoid arthritis will last much longer, possibly for a good chunk of the day. The right kind of exercise can help alleviate stiffness for people with RA and osteoarthritis pain. Locked joints People with RA can sometimes experience locked joints, particularly in the knees and elbows. This happens because there’s so much swelling of the tendons around the joint, the joint cannot bend. It can lead to cysts behind the knee that can puff out and inhibit motion. The symptom can be mistaken for a meniscus tear, a knee joint injury that's common in sports, and which can also lead to cysts. Nodules These are firm lumps that grow under the skin near the affected joints. They often appear at the back of the elbows, and sometimes people get them in the eyes. They're more common in people who have advanced rheumatoid arthritis, but occasionally show up earlier, The nodules can at times mimic gout, another form of arthritis.

Causes of knee pain may be related to: •Sports •Trauma •Inflammation or arthritis •Osteoarthritis Cartilage is a tough and flexible connective tissue that gives shape, support and provides a cushion between bones in the joints. Unlike other connective tissue, cartilages do not have its own blood supply, instead, it is composed primarily of water, chondrocytes, collagen, and proteoglycans, which produce and maintain a structural matrix giving cartilage tissue its form and function. Proteoglycans are composed of numerous glycosaminoglycans attached to a core protein. The predominant glycosaminoglycans in cartilage are chondroitin sulfate and keratin sulfate. Within the cartilage matrix, there are numerous prototype and monomers attached by link protein to a molecule of hyaluronic acid. This is all woven with collagen to form an elastic and compressible structure. Normal articular cartilage also known as hyaline cartilage provides a smooth crystal clear gliding surface to aid in the motion of the joint. The structure of hyaline cartilage is divided into four layers; superficial, middle, deep and calcified layer with the calcified layer representing a transition from articular cartilage to bone. This cartilage is designed to achieve and maintain proper function over the majority of a person’s life. If the cartilage is subjected to excessive weight, overuse, improper alignment or injury, it begins to wear away leaving bone to rub on bone. Articular cartilage does not have the ability to heal itself, however, there are several treatment options available to aid in the repair of injured cartilage. The knee is the most common joint in the body with cartilage injury issues. The knee joint is composed of femur, tibia, and patella. There are two types of cartilage in the knee joint, the articular cartilage and the meniscus, which is a shock absorbing cartilage. There are also important ligaments within the knee joint, the anterior and the posterior cruciate ligaments. The goal of treating cartilage injury is to reduce pain and improve the function of the affected area. Anti-inflammatory medications are commonly used to combat-injured cartilage but they can potentially cause cardiovascular or gastrointestinal toxicity. Damaged cartilage can also be treated with a series of injections. Steroid injections such as cortisone are powerful anti-inflammatory drugs used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Hyaluronic acid is a substance produced naturally in the body and is present within cartilage when isolated. Hyaluronic acid is a thick viscous solution that can be added to the natural hyaluronic acid of the knee joint. This solution uses purified Hyaluronic acid derived from either rooster combs or genetically engineered cells. Glucosamine is another option for treatment that can be injected directly into the joint. Glucosamine is a modified sugar that is formed by the human body and is used to form larger molecules involved in the formation and repair of cartilage. Other methods include gene therapy, platelet-rich plasma, growth factors, stem cells, drilling and debridement of cartilage may help with injured cartilage. Occasionally the cartilage is replaced, regrowth and implanted. When the cartilage is damaged, the choice is often simple as the patient will need a total knee replacement. Many different types of designs and materials are currently used in total knee replacement surgery. Nearly all consists of three components, a patellar component, which consists of durable plastic, a tibial component, made of a durable plastic cushion often held within a metal platform and the femoral component, which is usually made of highly polished metal. Total knee replacement is the most predictable option to treat severe arthritis of the knee joint. When the arthritis is minimal, almost all treatment methods will work, however, when the extent of arthritis is moderate, there are many different treatment options presented, but none of them are predictable. It is logical to pursue and recognize the efficacy of platelets and stem cells in cartilage regeneration, simply because it is better for the patient to be able to regenerate their own cartilages and for it to be replaced with an artificial joint.

Arthritis can affect any joint in the body but it is commonly seen in the joints of the fingers. There are different types of arthritis and the pattern of joint involvement: 1- Generalized osteoarthritis: Heberden’s nodes: Heberden's nodes are hard or bony swellings that can develop in the distal interphalangeal joints (DIP) and may or not be painful. Heberden’s nodes are caused by the formation of osteophytes due to repeated trauma at the joint and usually occurs during middle age. Bouchard’s nodes: Bouchard's nodes are bony growths that can form on the proximal interphalangeal joints of the finger (PIP). Bouchard’s nodes, like Heberden’s node, may or may not be painful. Bouchard’s nodes are typically associated with limited motion of the affected joint. Mucous cyst: small, fluid-filled sacs that form between the DIP joint of the finger and the bottom of the fingernail. The best treatment is surgical excision of the cyst and removal of the underlying osteophyte to decrease the risk of recurrence. 2- Psoriasis: it is an inflammatory form of arthritis and sometimes confused with osteoarthritis. Dactylitis is also referred to as “sausage digit”. It is inflammation of the entire digit. Sausage finger is a major finding of psoriatic arthritis. Nail pitting is small depressions in the finger nails and it is most common in people who have psoriasis. 3- Gout: gout is a form of inflammatory arthritis that is sometimes called “gouty arthritis”. Gouty arthritis will mimic infection and may develop in people who have high levels of uric acid in the blood. The uric acid can form needle like crystals in the joint and cause pain, tenderness, swelling and tenosynovitis. Periarticular erosions seen on x-ray may also be present with gout of the finger joints. Periarticular erosions are usually multiple and bilateral with sclerotic borders. 4- Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: ANA positive in 30%. Rheumatoid factor is negative in a child and later on it may become positive. Shortened digits. Polyarticular rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) is a form of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis that affects five or more joints. Polyarticular in about 30%. Pauciarticular onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a form of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis that affects less than five joints. Pauciarticular in about 50%. In pauciarticular onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis, check the iris of the eye for iridocyclitis. Firstly RA patients must not do exercises in the beginning at the first place itself. Rotator cuff arthropathy or cuff tear arthropathy is shoulder arthritis AS A RESULT and IN A SETTING of rotator cuff tears. Rotator cuff muscles hold the ball and the socket together and prevent the humeral head from moving out of the socket when the person raises an arm. In people with torn rotator cuff, the head of the humerus moves upwards and rub onto the acromion. This causes damages to the covering cartilage and eventually arthritis. Combination of cuff tear and arthritis is a devastating condition that seriously impairs functions of the shoulder joint. Post-traumatic arthritis – is arthritis that develops after physical injury to the joint. Chondrolysis - sudden loss of cartilage that happens occasionally after a shoulder surgery, commonly seen in association with infusion of local anesthetics into the joint for pain management.

Osteoarthritis vs. rheumatoid arthritis (OA vs. RA) nursing lecture about the symptoms, pathophysiology, treatment, and nursing interventions for the NCLEX exam. Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis are both forms of arthritis that affect the joints but in different ways. Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis that develops due to the deterioration of the articular cartilage. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation of the synovium within the joint space. In severe cases of RA, the patient can experience bone fusion (ankylosis). Osteoarthritis vs rheumatoid arthritis symptoms include: OA: crepitus, bony outgrowths (Heberden and Bouchard's Nodes which are found on the hands..see pictures in video), joints will feel hard, bony, morning stiffness LESS than 30 minutes, only affects joints (not other systems of the body), and is unsymmetrical. RA: morning stiffness GREATER than 30 minutes, soft, warm, swollen joints, affects joints symmetrically and other systems of the body (fever, anemia, heart, lungs etc.) Treatment for osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis include: NSAIDs, tylenol, physical exercise (low-impact exercises, range of motion, wearing-bearing), assistive devices, heat and cold therapy, corticosteriods (oral for RA and intra-arthritic injections in OA). In severe cases of rheumatoid arthritis DMARDs (disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs) may be used, and these medications suppress the immune system from attacking the joint along with helping slow down the destruction of the disease on the joints and bones. Dr. Ebraheim’s educational animated video describes the condition of rheumatoid arthritis, the etiology, signs and symptoms, the diagnostic tests and indications, and the treatment options and prognosis. Rheumatoid Arthritis involves the synovium of the joints. The condition of rheumatoid arthritis will result in deformities. Rheumatoid Arthritis occurs in females more than males. There may be a hereditary component with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Rheumatoid Arthritis has spontaneous remissions and exacerbations. The disease can have a systemic nature. Pain and stiffness of joints especially in the morning (morning stiffness). Rheumatoid Arthritis is typically polyarticular, bilateral and symmetrical and most commonly affects the hands and feet. x-rays show periarticular erosions at the time of diagnosis. Osteopenia and minimal osteophyte formation favor the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. Pathogenesis Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease. The disease has two components: immunological reaction. Increased degradative enzymes. The IgM (Rheumatoid factor) is produced by the plasma cell as ana antibody to the native IgG, which is altered in RA. 70% of patient with RA have rheumatoid factor positive. Leucocytes are attracted to the immune complex forming deposits over the inflammatory surface of the synovium. These leucocytes ingest fibrin and immune complex and is called the Rheumatoid cells. The leucocytes release lysosomal enzymes that cause acute inflammatory response and tissue necrosis as well as inflammatory mediators ( IL-1, IL-6, TNF alpha). The chondrocytes respond to stimulation by TNF- alpha, IL-1 and other inflammatory mediators causing cells to become activated and secrete more metalloproteinases which lead to cartilage damage. The synovium becomes hypertrophied (pannus), showing intimal hyperplasia and infiltration by plasma cells and lymphocytes. Stages of Rheumatoid Arthritis Early: acute: hot swollen tender joints (synovitis) •MCP swelling •Wrist swelling •Flexor sheath synovitis Complicated: digital vasculitis, ecchymosis, skin atrophy, nodules. Advanced •Swelling of MCP joints •Lateral slippage of extensor tendon ruptures •Ulnar deviation of fingers •Xrays show destruction of MCP with subluxation, ulnar deviation and wrist destruction. •Finger deformities: Mallet, boutonniere, Swan neck The thumb is also involved. These changes occur due to proliferation, inflammation and hypertrophy of the synovium. Involvement of the distal radioulnar joint is usually associated with rupture of the extensor digiti minimi. Rheumatoid nodules 25% of patients with RA will have subcutaneous nodules on extensor surfaces of elbow and forearm. Nodules are often multiple and seen along the ulnar margin of the forearm or pulp of the digits. Vasculitis is more common in patients with SC nodules, it is strongly seropositive disease (aggressive) with less favorable prognosis. Treatment •Synovitis: splint and medical treatment •Joint space narrowing, bone erosions and osteopenia: synovectomy. •Joint destruction/fixed deformity/ loss of hand function: surgery based on condition Before operating on RA patients, x-ray of the cervical spine is needed because the patient may have subluxation of C1-C2. Metacarpophalangeal joint arthroplasty of the fingers usually results in decreased extensor lag and improvement of the ulnar drift. These knee arthritis stretches and exercises are simple to do and should provide some relief from knee arthritis pain. They are also great for keeping your knees nice and fit. Read Doctor Jo's full blog post about this at http://www.askdoctorjo.com/content/knee-arthritis-stretches-exercises The first stretch is for your calf muscles. Start off with your legs out in front of you. Keep the leg you want to stretch out in front of you. Take a stretch strap, dog leash, belt, or towel and wrap it around the ball of your foot. Relax your foot, and pull the strap towards you stretching your calf muscle. You should feel the stretch under your leg. Hold the stretch for 30 seconds, and do three of them. The next stretch is for the hamstrings. Keep your leg that you want to stretch out in front of you. Try to keep your back straight and just bend at your hips. Keep your leg straight and pull your toes towards you to get an extra stretch. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds, and repeat three times. The last stretch is for your quad muscles. This time you will lie on your stomach to stretch. Wrap the strap or dog leash around your ankle, and then lie on your stomach. Bring the strap up and around your shoulder so you are comfortable. Then pull the strap towards you bringing the lower leg towards your bottom. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds doing three of them. Now we will move on to the exercises. The first exercise is going to be a quad set. Put your leg straight out in front of you again. You can use a towel roll underneath your knee as a target. Activate your quad muscle by squeezing it and pull your toes toward you at the same time. This will push your knee into the ground. Try to hold this for 5-10 seconds and do 10 of them. Next you will do a short arc quad (SAQ). For this, you will use a foam roll or a rolled up beach towel. You want something big so you have a good bend in your knee. Prop your leg over the roll with your knee on the roll. Try to keep your knee on the roll the whole time, and then lift your foot in the air until your leg is straight. If you pull your toes towards you at the end, this will help activate all the muscles in the leg. Try not to go fast because then you are only using momentum. Go slow and controlled with your movements. Start of with 10 of these. If you get to 20-25 and it is easy, then you can add ankle weights. For the next exercise, you will sit in a chair. This one is called a long arc quad (LAQ). This is similar to the SAQ where you want to go slow and controlled, and then bring your leg up straight out in front of you. Slowly come back down. Start of with 10 of these. If you get to 20-25 and it is easy, then you can add ankle weights. Now you are going to stand up for the last exercises. For the hamstring exercise standing up, you want to keep the top part of your leg as straight as possible in line with your body. It might try to come forward if your muscles are tight, but try to keep it down. Slowly bring your foot back behind you, like you are trying to kick your bottom. Make sure you are going slow and controlled with these. Start of with 10 of these. If you get to 20-25 and it is easy, then you can add ankle weights. The last one is for calf strengthening. With your feet about shoulder width apart, and holding onto something for balance if you need to, come up on your toes bringing your heels off the ground, and slowly come back down. If that becomes easy, you can do this one foot at a time. Start off with ten and work your way up to 20-25. Dr. Ebraheim’s educational animated video describes the osteoarthritis of the fingers - Heberden's nodes, Bouchard's nodes. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition of the cartilage. There is no clear etiology. Osteoarthritis is not related to tumors, inflammation, infection, gout, or trauma. Osteoarthritis is different from rheumatoid arthritis—which is an inflammatory condition. This distal interphalangeal joint (DIP) is the joint that is most often involved with osteoarthritis. The trapeziometacarpal joint (TM) is the most involved joint with osteoarthritis. When the trapeziometacarpal joint is involved, it causes pain with a weak pinch and grip. Osteoarthritis of the fingers involves the following: DIP (Heberden’s Nodes) - Heberden’s nodes are bony swellings (osteophytes) that can develop in the distal interphalangeal joints (DIP) due to the effects of osteoarthritis on these joints. Heberden’s nodes are a sign of osteoarthritis caused by osteophyte formation (bony outgrowth) of the articular cartilage in response to repeated microtrauma at the joint. Heberden’s nodes are more common in women then in men. PIP (Bouchard’s Nodes) – Bouchard’s nodes are also associated with osteoarthritis and they are similar bony growths which develop in the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joints. Bouchard’s nodes, like Heberden’s nodes, may or may not be painful. Swollen, hard, and painful finger joints (Heberden’s and Bouchard’s nodes) is the classical sign of DIP and PIP joint osteoarthritis. Mucous Cyst- Small, fluid-filled sacs that form between the DIP joint of the finger and the bottom of the fingernail are another sign of osteoarthritis. The best treatment is a surgical excision of the cyst and removal of the underlying osteophyte to decrease the risk of recurrence. This is my healing journey in pictures. In 2012 I was obese and misserable. I weighed 200 pounds. My height is 5 foot 3 inch. I had to take blood preasure meds, had constant pain in my hips and knees and was constipated most of the time. I had recurring bladder infections and sinus infections and headaches as well as itchy skin and rashes on my hands, ellbows and ears. To top it all off I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in August 2015 when practically over night, my hands and wrists were so swollen and full of pain, that I coulnd`t move them at all. Shortly after that, all of my joints became infected. My knees, my ellbows, my hips, my toes and my shoulders and my jaw. I was up to 60mg of prednison at one time and strong painkillers. The pictures will tell you the story. I have completely changed my lifestyle after I found out, that the doctors couldn`t help me. All they could do is give me steroids and painkillers for the symtoms. They told me that this was an incurable desease and that I would have to take medication for the rest of my life. I refused to believe that and took matters in my own hands, searching the internet and studying all the footage available for months. I changed my diet completely, after finding out, that autoimmune deseases where related to the food we eat. I went from a standard diet to a vegan diet. I learned a lot from Dr. McDougall, as well as from Clint Paddison, Dr. Greger, Dr. Joel Fuhrman and Dr. Goldhamer. (There is a skype interview I had with Clint Paddison in Dec. 2016. You can view it on his channel under the topic: Christina Hees and family considerations).I also watched a lot of raw foodists on Youtube and tried to make some kind of plan for myself that would work for me. I bought Dr. McDougall`s book "The starch solution" and read it with enthusiasm. I also bought the 80-10-10 book by Dr. Doug Graham and I got some of Dr. Christine Volms books as well as Dr. Goldners book: How to cure Lupus with supermarket foods. I had to illiminate all gluten and fat. I can only tolerate a minimum amount of fat in my diet otherwise I react with swelling and inflammation in my joints and great pain. The same with gluten containing foods. I get swelling and pain and rashes on my skin as well as digestive problems if consuming those foods. After changing my diet I started to do sports to keep my joints moving and become more flexible all over. I went to join the Aikido Club at TS Göppingen e.V., (Germany, Baden-Württemberg, Göppingen) tought by Sensei Dr. Thomas Oettinger, 7th Dan. Simultaniously I joined a local gym for specific muscle build up training and back mobilisation training for 18 months. Nowadays I am doing only Aikido once or twice a week and some joga exercises at home. I go swimming once a month with my little son. I managed to get my yellow belt in Aikido in July 2016. I was 51 years of age then. This was a great accomplishment for me. I lost 88 pounds and went from 60mg of Prednison down to 5mg. Now I only have to take it when I "cheat" on my food intake. It is definately the food that does it to me and makes me sick. My inflamation markers are down to 4,5. I check in with my physician twice a year for blood work and let him know of my progress. He was very sceptical in the beginning but he is very suprised now. I am so thankful to all the wonderful people that spread the message about a plant based diet, free from all animal products and who educate the world about it. Without your help I would still be miserable and taking strong medications who`s side effects are devestating. Educational video describing the condition of gout and pseudogout. The most common joint affected by gout is the 1st metatarsophalangeal joint. The most common joint affected by pseudogout is the knee joint. Gout and pseudogout are similar problems with different causes. Gout Gout is caused by the build-up of uric acid crystals inside a joint. The best test to diagnose gout is with a joint fluid analysis. Elevated uric acid is not a good criterion. 90% of patients suffering from gout are men between the ages of 40-60 years. Gout crystals are needle-shaped and negatively birefringent. When placed under polarized light they will be yellow. Uric acid builds up in the body by two main mechanisms: 1-Excessive urate production. 2-Diminished urate clearance. Uric acid is produced from the breakdown of proteins inside the body and from the proteins of food that is eaten. Precipitating factors The sudden attack of gout can be brought on by anything that increases the level of uric acid in the blood such as: •Dehydration •Increased consumption of alcohol •Eating large amount of meat or seafood •Trauma/surgery Diagnostic testing •Aspiration and analysis of the joint fluid is the best method for diagnosis. •There are blood tests such as white blood cell count, C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate and uric acid level that are helpful in supporting the diagnosis if elevated, but if normal cannot definitively rule out gout or pseudogout. Pseudogout Pseudogout is a metabolic disease where calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystals (CPPD) are formed within the joint space. Most often affects the knee, occurs more in older patients. Calcification of fibrocartilage (chondrocalcinosis). Pseudogout crystals are rhomboid shaped and positively birefringent. Crystals will be blue when placed under polarized light. Associated conditions: •Hyperparathyroidism •Rheumatoid arthritis •Gout Gout and pseudogout both show a sudden onset of pain, redness and swelling typically affecting a single joint in 80% of the cases. Gout symptoms and signs include pain, swelling and arthritis. Patients with gout have periarticular erosions along with the formation of uric acid soft tissue masses in and around the joint which can be seen on x-ray. Soft tissue tophus deposition with periarticular erosions call “punch-out” lesions. X-rays in pseudogout will show thin calcification in the articular cartilage or menisci, with involvement of the patellofemoral joint. Calcifications of the synovium, tendon and ligaments can also be seen. Treatment of Gout & pseudogout •Acute gout: indocine, colchicine (be aware of peptic ulcer) •Chronic gout: allopurinol (xanthine oxidase inhibitor), colchicine •Uricosuric drugs such as probenecid which increase uric acid excretion by the kidneys may be helpful. •Treatment of pseudogout: NSAIDs, intraarticular injections. Essentially, there is a very good reason regarding why weather changes lead to worsening conditions like arthritis in hands, knee pain, hip pain, and more. This fluid expanding from the pressure dropping is a big cause. So your body is kind of able to predict weather changes in a way.
