23 year old Josh has been suffering from extreme psoriasis for eight years. He’s tried all sorts of creams to no avail, but has found that sunlight has a positive effect. Pixie warns against over-exposure to sunlight, and suggests Josh stops smoking and cuts down on alcohol. If he does this he might be eligible for biological treatment, in which medication is administered to attack the psoriasis from inside his body, rather than applying ointments and creams externally. Cyclosporin, a potent drug, has proved to be effective. After a few tests, Josh is good to go. Cyclosporin is used in the short term to get the condition under control, after which more traditional treatments can be used to manage the psoriasis. Six weeks after starting the medication, Josh’s body is unrecognisable. The aggressive, scaly psoriasis has calmed down and his home life has improved. And Geoff Hatton has reached the end of his tether. He has severe psoriasis but due to complications can't have light therapy that is proving so successful for so many. His last hope is the Embarrassing Bodies clinic. 6 Amazing Uses of Rubbing Alcohol

04:54
Rubbing alcohol, or Isopropyl Alcohol, can be found in most home medicine cabinets. It can be used to fight infections, clean your skin and pores of toxins, disinfect surfaces and clean objects. Here are the top 6 uses of rubbing alcohol: 1. Prevents Swimmer’s Ear Swimmer's ear happens when water gets trapped deep in the ear canal. It is a common condition for swimmers and it can be quite annoying, as trapped water can cause infection and lead to swimmer’s ear. You can prevent an infection from occurring with rubbing alcohol. Here’s how to prevent swimmer’s ear: Mix equal parts of rubbing alcohol and white vinegar. Fill an ear dropper with the solution. Lie down with the affected ear facing upward. Put 2 to 4 drops into the ear and wait 10 minutes. Tilt your ear in the opposite direction to allow drainage of any excess liquid. Repeat as needed. 2. Cleans Minor Cuts and Abrasions Rubbing alcohol can also be used to clean minor cuts or scrapes because of the natural germ-fighting characteristics. It can disinfect the area and kill any bacteria to prevent infection. Rubbing alcohol can also help to stop bleeding in the cuts by tightening your capillaries, which are what are losing blood in your body. The next time you have a minor cut or scrape, try: Apply some rubbing alcohol to the affected area using a cotton ball. Leave it on for several minutes. As rubbing alcohol can dry your skin, apply some moisturizing lotion or simply aloe vera gel on the area after you are done. Do this several times a day for several days. 3. Prevents Acne and Pimples Rubbing alcohol can even help to treat and prevent acne and pimples by killing the germs, soothing your skin, removing any dirt and unclogging your pores. Be sure to begin this method as soon as you notice the first signs of a breakout occurring: Soak a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol (70% strength). Dab it on the affected area gently. Leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse the affected area with lukewarm water. You can also follow up with a light moisturizer or just aloe vera gel. Do this twice daily for a couple of days only. 4. Treats Toenail Fungus Because of its ability to fight germs and infections, rubbing alcohol is effective in fighting toenail fungus. Rubbing alcohol can help keep your skin dry, so it does also prevent fungus from growing in the first place, as fungi tend to grow and spread in warm, moist environments. Therefore, the rubbing alcohol will clear up any current infection, give you relief from any pain and discomfort and reduce the chances of more fungus growing. Here’s what to do: Mix equal amounts of rubbing alcohol and white vinegar. Soak a thick pad of cotton in the solution and place it over the infected toenail. Wrap it with a small bandage or tape to keep the cotton pad in place. Allow it to sit for about 30 to 45 minutes. Finish by gently scrubbing the toenail with a soft-bristled toothbrush, then rinse the area. Use this remedy once daily for several days. 5. Soothes Mosquito Bites Rubbing alcohol can even be used to help relieve pain and discomfort that are sustained from mosquito and chigger bites by lessening the pain, swelling and discomfort. It can also help the bite to heal quicker than it would naturally. 6. Soothes Muscle Aches Rubbing alcohol can be used on your sore and achy muscles and painful joints in order to relieve these symptoms. It can also help to reduce any swelling because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Rubbing alcohol releases any tension in your muscles and causes your blood to flow properly and increase your circulation. Here’s what to do the next time you have sore and achy muscles and joints: Apply some rubbing alcohol on your aching muscles. Massage gently in circular motions for 10 minutes. Wrap the area with a warm cloth for at least 30 minutes. Repeat 2 or 3 times a day. Have you ever used rubbing alcohol for any of these purposes? Comment below your favorite uses for rubbing alcohol. Psoriasis is a very common inflammatory skin condition affecting about 3% of the world population. It is a CHRONIC disease that evolves in the form of RECURRENT inflammatory flare-ups followed by periods of partial or complete remission. Psoriasis can begin at any age but often develops in young adulthood. The disease may LOOK contagious, but it is NOT. The most common type, known as PLAQUE psoriasis, is characterized by the presence of red, raised, itchy and SCALY patches of skin. The plaques usually appear on the scalp, in front of the knees and behind the elbows. Less common types include: - Guttate psoriasis: lesions occur in the form of SMALL numerous spots over a large area of the body. This type primarily affects children and young adults. - Inverse psoriasis: SMOOTH patches of inflamed skin that worsen with friction and sweating. These are usually found in between skin FOLDS. - Pustular psoriasis: an uncommon form with pus-filled, NON-infectious blisters. - Erythrodermic: a rare but SEVERE, potentially life-threatening form, with WIDEspread lesions all over the body. Psoriasis has a strong GENETIC component, with multiple genes linked to the SUSCEPTIBILITY to the disease. Most of the identified genes are involved in the immune system, notably inflammatory pathways. In some families, psoriasis is an autosomal DOMINANT trait. Flare-ups can be trigged by a variety of factors, including infections, traumatic injuries, stress, smoking, alcohol use and certain medications. The FIRST lesion usually appears after an upper respiratory tract infection. The exact mechanism is not fully understood but likely to involve an OVERreaction of the body’s inflammatory response. Inflammation DILATES blood vessels, releasing chemicals, resulting in redness and itchiness. Large numbers of activated T-cells infiltrate the epidermis and INDUCE proliferation of skin cells. The cells divide and move up QUICKLY, in the matter of DAYS instead of weeks. This causes cells to build up rapidly on the surface of the skin and form SCALY patches. Common complications include eye diseases, known as OCULAR psoriasis; and chronic joint inflammation in the fingers and toes, known as psoriatic arthritis. Psoriasis also associates with higher risks of cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes, low self-esteem and depression. Most people with MILD to moderate psoriasis can be treated effectively with TOPICAL agents. These creams and ointments have several effects: anti-inflammatory, slowing down skin cell growth, and reducing scaling and itching. Severe psoriasis may benefit from additional treatment such as phototherapy - the use of natural or artificial UV light to SLOW skin cell proliferation and REDUCE inflammation. The exposure time should be controlled to avoid UNwanted skin damage and cancers. SYSTEMIC treatment is considered when other methods fail. This type of treatment involves ORAL administration or INJECTION of drugs that REDUCE cell growth or SUPPRESS the immune system.

How to Treat Psoriasis

02:26
Watch more Skin Care 101 videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/259642-How-to-Treat-Psoriasis Though you can treat and control psoriasis, characterized by dry scaly patches of skin, the progress is often erratic and cyclical, so be patient and consistent in executing these steps. Step 1: Apply topical creams See a doctor about prescription topical corticosteroids for mild to moderate psoriasis. Your doctor may advise limiting their use until the outbreak is under control. Tip Over time your skin can become resistant to traditional treatments; consult a doctor before using more aggressive treatments. Step 2: Use salicylic acid Use over-the-counter and diluted salicylic acid with mineral oil, and then wash it off with a coal-tar soap or shampoo. Step 3: Avoid washing too much Avoid washing too much or otherwise drying out your skin. When you bathe, use bath oil or colloidal oatmeal and bath salts. Dry thoroughly, blotting carefully with a thick towel. Step 4: Try moisturizer Apply an ointment-based moisturizer that can control the itch. Avoid cold weather, which can also irritate and worsen the condition. Tip Dermatologists sometimes use rotational therapies, alternating months of psoriasis drugs and creams, to minimize damaging side effects. Step 5: Expose to light Expose the area to brief ultraviolet light therapy, which can slow down the cell turnover and reduce scaling. Natural sunlight is good, but less controllable so it can worsen psoriasis. Step 6: Undergo laser therapy Undergo laser therapy, which targets only the involved skin patch and eliminates plaques that cause the psoriasis inflammation. Tip Calm your life down, refusing to allow yourself to be ruled by emotions that can exacerbate the psoriasis. Step 7: Take oral or injected drugs Take prescription oral or injected drugs, but advisedly, as there can be severe side effects such as life-threatening infections. Step 8: Moisturize at night Moisturize at night and cover the psoriasis with plastic wrap. In the morning remove it and clean away scales, but always avoid cleaning with alcohol. Did You Know? Did you know? It's estimated that up to 125 million people worldwide have psoriasis.

Is There A Cure for Psoriasis?

01:49
http://bit.ly/psoriasis-solution There's no cure for psoriasis yet, but there are many ways to get relief from the symptoms of this troublesome diseasPsoriasise. Psoriasis is one of the most common skin ailments. More than 125 million people throughout the world have psoriasis. This chronic disorder affects people of all ages. Psoriasis seems to be inherited. The condition causes skin redness and irritation that can appear anywhere on the body. Most people with psoriasis have thick, red skin with flaky, silver-white patches. There is no known way to prevent psoriasis. It is not contagious. Psoriasis is the most common autoimmune disease. Researchers think it probably occurs when the body's immune system attacks healthy cells, mistaking them for dangerous substances. Up to one-third of people with psoriasis may also have a form of arthritis called "psoriatic arthritis," in which the immune system also attacks the joints. In many cases, psoriasis goes away and then flares up again. The triggers that bring on psoriasis include: stress, dry air, infections, skin injuries, some medicines, too much or too little sun, cold weather, drinking too much alcohol and smoking. If you have a weakened immune system, you may experience more severe symptoms from psoriasis. A weakened immune system comes with rheumatoid arthritis, chemotherapy and AIDS. The symptoms of inverse psoriasis include skin redness and irritation in the armpits, groin, and in between overlapping skin. It's more common in overweight people and is worsened by friction and sweating. Home remedies include oatmeal baths that soothe and loosen scales, moderate sun exposure, and relaxation techniques such as meditation to relieve stress. http://bit.ly/psoriasis-solution

Psoriasis cure

http://bit.ly/PsoriasisCureNoCostTry Hope for Psoriasis suffering. Things You Should Know About Psoriasis Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease affecting the skin and joints. When it affects the skin it commonly appears as red scaly elevated patches called plaques. Psoriasis plaques frequently occur on the elbows and knees, but can affect any area of skin including the scalp and genital area. Psoriasis can vary in severity, from minor localised patches to extensive or even complete skin coverage. Fingernails and toenails are often affected. This is called psoriatic nail dystrophy. Psoriasis can also cause inflammation of the joints. This is known as psoriatic arthritis. Psoriatic arthritis can affect any joint but is most common in the joints of the fingers and toes. This can result in a sausage-shaped swelling of the fingers and toes known as dactylitis. Psoriatic arthritis can also affect the hips, knees and spine. This is known as spondylitis. Psoriasis affects both sexes equally, occurs at all ages and is prevalent in 2-3% of the Western populations. Several factors are thought to aggravate psoriasis. These include stress and excessive alcohol consumption. Individuals with psoriasis may also suffer from depression and loss of self-esteem. As such, quality of life is an important factor in evaluating the severity of the disease. There are many treatments available but because of its chronic recurrent nature psoriasis is a challenge to treat. Psoriasis is driven by the immune system, especially involving a type of white blood cell called a T cell. Normally, T cells help protect the body against infection and disease. T cells help create scabs over wounds. In the case of psoriasis, T cells are put into action by mistake and become so active that they trigger other immune responses, which lead to inflammation and to rapid turnover of skin cells. Epidermal cells then build up on the surface of the skin, forming itchy patches or plaques. Specialist dermatologists generally treat psoriasis in steps based on the severity of the disease, size of the areas involved, type of psoriasis, and the patient's response to initial treatments. This is sometimes called the "1-2-3" approach. In step 1, medicines are applied to the skin (topical treatment). Step 2 uses ultraviolet light treatments (phototherapy). Step 3 involves taking medicines by mouth or injection that treat the whole immune system (called systemic therapy). Over time, affected skin can become resistant to treatment, especially when topical corticosteroids are used. Also, a treatment that works very well in one person may have little effect in another. Thus, doctors often use a trial-and-error approach to find a treatment that works, and they may switch treatments periodically (for example, every 12 to 24 months) if a treatment does not work or if adverse reactions occur. In conclusion, Psoriasis is a chronic condition. There is currently no cure. People often experience flares and remissions throughout their life. Controlling the signs and symptoms typically requires lifelong therapy. Disclaimer - The information presented here should not be interpreted as medical advice. Psoriasis Diet - Psoriasis Diet Plan - Psoriasis Diet Recipes - Psoriasis Diet Avoid Foods Psoriasis Diet There's no strong scientific evidence that specific foods can impact psoriasis, but there is evidence that losing extra weight can ease symptoms. Physicians recommend a healthy, balanced diet to control your weight and your psoriasis, as well as lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. The foundation of a healthy diet is lean protein, low-fat dairy, whole grains, and fruits and vegetables. 1. Omega-3 Fatty Acids Abundant in fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, sardines, and albacore tuna are the foundation of a heart-healthy diet. Fish oils are thought to reduce inflammation and help the immune system, which is overactive in people with psoriasis. 2. Fruits and Vegetables Although there are no studies connecting fruits and vegetables specifically with a reduction in psoriasis symptoms, psoriasis is an inflammatory condition. Specific vegetables that might have inflammation-fighting properties include carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, spinach, kale, and broccoli. Make Psoriasis Plaques Go Away

02:27
Simple home treatment to make the skin symptoms of Plaque Psoriasis go away. I've been spot free for 15 years, after having plaques consistently for 23 years. I still 'have psoriasis', but I don't have the symptoms on my skin. I have psoriatic arthritis, and this doesn't help that. I AM NOT SURE WHAT IS IN CONDITIONER WHICH DOES THIS, BUT SEEMS TO MOISTURIZE; HELPING TO SOFTEN AND LOCK IN MOISTURE FROM THE WATER. Whatever it is. It's working for me. Soak in a warm to hot tub, get up out of the water while wet, apply any conditioner, leave on 3-5 min; then rinse off in the bath water. Leaves some residue from the conditioner. Took about 2-3 months to clear up. Now I just maintain it doing this.

7 Common Types of Inflammatory Arthritis

05:14
7 Common Types of Inflammatory Arthritis 1. Rheumatoid Arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis is by far the most common type of inflammatory arthritis, affecting approximately 1 to 2 million people in the United States alone. In those with rheumatoid arthritis, the Mayo Clinic says the immune system “attacks the lining of the joint capsule,” called the synovial membrane. As the synovial membrane is attacked, the source says it “becomes inflamed and swollen,” which causes the pain and discomfort associated with the condition. Over time, the cartilage and bone within the joint can become permanently damaged. This most commonly occurs within the hands, wrists and feet. 2. Ankylosing Spondylitis Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of inflammatory arthritis that primarily affects the joints in the spine, causing pain and stiffness in areas such as the lower back, buttocks and hips. According to the Arthritis Foundation, these symptoms tend to develop “slowly over several weeks or months.” Arthritis Research UK adds that ankylosing spondylitis can affect other areas of the body as well, causing chest pain, inflammation of the eyes or bowels, as well as fatigue. Although the condition can affect anyone, the source says it most commonly affects men in their late teens or 20s, particularly if they have a gene called HLA-B27. 3. Psoriatic Arthritis Approximately 30 percent of people who have psoriasis—a condition that causes itchy, scaly skin—will also develop psoriatic arthritis. Symptoms of this type of inflammatory arthritis typically include painful, swollen or stiff joints, particularly in the ankles, knees, fingers, toes or lower back. Swollen fingers or toes is also common, and is caused by inflammation in the joints and tendons. Other characteristics of the disorder include pain in the ligaments or tendons, discoloration and thickening of the nails, as well as fatigue. 4. Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Approximately 300,000 children in the United States have some form of arthritis, of which juvenile idiopathic arthritis is the most common. According to KidsHealth.org, the onset typically occurs between the ages of 6 months and 16 years old, and initial symptoms often include “joint pain or swelling or warm joints.” Although there is presently no cure for the seven different types of juvenile idiopathic arthritis, the Arthritis Foundation says that with an early diagnosis and aggressive treatment, remission is possible. 5. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Inflammatory arthritis is among the most common symptoms that develop in people with lupus—an autoimmune disease that Healthline.com says “can affect your joints and many types of connective tissue in your body.” The source adds that the condition can also cause damage to the skin, lungs, kidneys, brain and other organs. Other symptoms commonly associated with systemic lupus erythematosus include joint pain, a butterfly-shaped rash on the face, hair loss, shortness of breath, and blood disorders such as anemia, leukopenia (low white blood cell count) and thrombosis (blood clots). 6. Gout Affecting an estimated 3.9 percent of American adults, gout is caused by the accumulation of urate crystals within the joints. A person’s risk of developing this type of inflammatory arthritis is affected by factors such as age, diet, alcohol use, and whether or not it runs in their family. An incredibly painful condition, Healthline.com says symptoms of gout can include “redness, swelling, and intense pain in your toes, feet, ankles, knees, hands, or wrists,” although a joint in the big toe is most commonly affected. 7. Infectious or Reactive Arthritis The term ‘infectious arthritis’ refers to several different conditions that are caused by bacterial or viral infections. According to Arthritis-Health.com, these conditions include “rheumatic fever, Lyme disease, fungal arthritis, Fifth disease, tuberculosis arthritis, gonococcal arthritis, Cogan’s syndrome, Pott’s disease, spirochetal arthritis, and Sydenham’s chorea, among others.” In addition to joint pain and swelling, infectious arthritis often includes symptoms such as a fever and chills. Reactive arthritis, on the other hand, often occurs when “an infection in one part of your body causes inflammation in a joint elsewhere in your body,“ says Healthline.com. The source adds that the infection tends to start “in your bladder or sexual organs.” See Our Another Vedeos: 1. Here Is Everything You Should Know about Psoriasis: Signs and Symptoms, Causes and the Best Remedies

05:28
Here Is Everything You Should Know about Psoriasis: Signs and Symptoms, Causes and the Best Remedies Psoriasis is a common skin condition that speeds up the life cycle of skin cells. It causes cells to build up rapidly on the surface of the skin. The extra skin cells form scales and red patches that are itchy and sometimes painful. Psoriasis is a chronic disease that often comes and goes. The main goal of treatment is to stop the skin cells from growing so quickly. This typically results in scaly, thick, red patches, which can be painful and itchy. Approximately 7.5 million people suffer from psoriasis in the U.S. alone. Unfortunately, for about 60% of those suffering from psoriasis, the disease has a serious impact on their everyday life. Symptoms Psoriasis signs and symptoms are different for everyone. Common signs and symptoms include: Red patches of skin covered with thick, silvery scales Small scaling spots (commonly seen in children) Dry, cracked skin that may bleed Itching, burning or soreness Thickened, pitted or ridged nails Swollen and stiff joints Psoriasis patches can range from a few spots of dandruff-like scaling to major eruptions that cover large areas. Most types of psoriasis go through cycles, flaring for a few weeks or months, then subsiding for a time or even going into complete remission. Treat Psoriasis at Home 1. Take dietary supplements Dietary supplements may help ease psoriasis symptoms from the inside. Fish oil, vitamin D, milk thistle, aloe vera, Oregon grape, and evening primrose oil have been reported to help ease mild symptoms of psoriasis, according to the National Psoriasis Foundation. It’s important to check with your doctor before taking any supplements to make sure they don’t interfere with other health conditions you may have. 2. Prevent dry skin Use a humidifier to keep the air in your home or office moist. This can help prevent dry skin before it starts. Sensitive skin moisturizers are also great at keeping your skin supple and preventing plaques from forming. 3. Avoid fragrances Most soaps and perfumes have dyes and other chemicals in them that may irritate your skin. They can make you smell great, but they also can inflame psoriasis. Avoid such products when you can, or choose those with “sensitive skin” labels. 4. Eat healthfully Diet may play a role in managing psoriasis. Eliminating red meat and fatty snacks may help reduce flare-ups triggered by such foods. Cold water fish, seeds, nuts, and omega-3 fatty acids are known for their ability to reduce inflammation. This can be helpful for managing psoriasis symptoms. Olive oil may also have soothing benefits when applied topically to the skin. Try massaging a few tablespoons on your scalp to help loosen troublesome plaques during your next shower. 5. Soak your body Hot water may be an irritant for your skin. However, a lukewarm bath with Epsom salt, mineral oil, milk, or olive oil can soothe the itching and infiltrate scales and plaques. Moisturize immediately after your bath for double benefits. 6. Get some rays Light therapy involves exposing your skin to ultraviolet light under the supervision of a doctor. Ultraviolet light can help slow the growth of skin cells triggered by psoriasis. This type of therapy often requires consistent and frequent sessions. It should be noted that tanning beds are not a means of achieving light therapy. Too much sunlight can actually worsen psoriasis. Light therapy should always be done under the supervision of a doctor. 7. Reduce stress Any chronic condition like psoriasis can be a source of stress. This can often turn into a vicious cycle because stress itself can worsen psoriasis symptoms. In addition to reducing stress whenever possible, consider incorporating stress-reducing practices such as yoga and meditation. 8. Avoid alcohol Alcohol is a trigger for many people who have psoriasis. A study from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School found an increased risk of psoriasis among women who drank nonlight beer. Those who drank at least five nonlight beers per week were nearly twice as likely to develop psoriasis, when compared to women who didn’t drink. 9. Try turmeric Herbs are commonly used to treat many conditions. Turmeric has been found to help minimize psoriasis flare-ups. It can be taken in pill or supplement form, or sprinkled on your food. Talk to your doctor about the potential benefits for you. The FDA-approved dosage of turmeric is 1.5 to 3.0 grams per day. 10. Stop smoking Avoid tobacco. Smoking may increase your risk of psoriasis. If you already have psoriasis, it can also make your symptoms more severe. If you like our video please give us thumbs up and share this video with family and friends. Thanks.

Psoriasis - What is Psoriasis | Psoriasis Symptoms | Psoriasis treatment | Psoriasis Diet & Causes Psoriasis Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition caused by an overactive immune system. Symptoms include flaking, inflammation, and thick, white, silvery, or red patches of skin. Psoriasis can affect any part of the body, but it most commonly develops behind the elbows and knees, as well as the scalp, back, face, palms, and feet. Who Can Get Psoriasis? It can strike at any time in your life, but tends to first develop between the ages of 15 and 30 or between the ages of 50 and 60. Psoriasis can occur in men and women and in people of all races. Psoriasis is not contagious, so if your rash accidentally rubs on someone else or another person touches it, you don't have to worry about spreading it. Symptoms of Psoriasis The common symptoms of psoriasis include: Raised, red, inflamed lesions. Silvery scaly plaques. Small, red, individual spots (more common in children and young adults). Dry skin that may crack and bleed. Itching, burning, or soreness of the skin. Pitted nails or separation from the nail bed. Causes of Psoriasis Common psoriasis triggers include: Dry skin. An injury to your skin, such as a cut, scrape, insect bite or sunburn. Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. Smoking. Stress. Certain medicines. Infections. Genetics. Diagnosis of Psoriasis In most cases, diagnosis of psoriasis is fairly straightforward. Your doctor usually can diagnose psoriasis by taking your medical history and examining your skin, scalp and nails. Rarely, your doctor may take a small sample of skin, which is then examined under a microscope to determine the exact type of psoriasis and to rule out other disorders. Psoriasis Treatment Find out what triggers, if any, worsen your psoriasis and take steps to prevent or avoid them. Taken from the leaves of the aloe vera plant, aloe extract cream may reduce redness, scaling, itching and inflammation. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil supplements may reduce inflammation associated with psoriasis, although results from studies are mixed. Do You Want To Get Rid of Psoriasis Naturally? Psoriasis Medication -- 8 Tips To Demolish This Annoying Problem!

05:12
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for an awesome free video guide to dietary supplements and alternative medicine! Today I'm going to be talking about some really good psoriasis medication that can eradicate this problem like using TNT to catch a fish in a pond. Psoriasis is a common skin disorder in which case someone's skin becomes red, hard, with thick white patches. What happens is that too many skin cells are created in an area. Unfortunately the exact cause of this problem isn't known, but it has to do with the immune system. More bad news is that once someone has psoriasis there is always a possibility of a flare up, in which case the condition comes back. Things such as smoking, stress, medication, an injury, cold weather and even alcohol may increase the possibility of an outbreak of this annoying skin problem. Almost like kissing someone on the lips with a cold sore increases the chance of a herpes outbreak. Now that the negative news is out of the way, let's focus on something more positive like how we can fix this problem. Sounds good right? Do you know what the best medication truly is for psoriasis? Yep, it's prevention and not getting the problem in the first place. This is an area I think western medicine should focus more on when it comes to all ailments. The first area of prevention is avoiding too much stress. You can't eliminate all stress, but you can reduce it through deep breathing, and sometimes just relaxing more. Being overweight and obese can increase your risk of this skin disorder as well as smoking tobacco. In fact smoking tobacco increases the risk of a ton of health problems, and costs a ton of money. One way someone can treat this problem is with vitamin D or ultraviolet B light therapy that encourages vitamin D production. How it helps is by stopping inflammatory activity. Speaking of reducing inflammation some people have reported that taking a bath in Epson salt has been helpful, so you can give that a whirl. Next up is applying a moisturizer to the affected area and by far my favorite skin moisturizer is coconut oil. Leave it on for a long period of time, then wash it away, and it can help like giving a starving person a hot dog. Another treatment idea is a person's diet. While there is no concrete proof that it can help, some people report that cutting down on sugar, processed foods, gluten and caffeine have helped, so it's worth a shot. Also there are tons of dietary supplements and herbal remedies that can work wonders with this ailment, as well as greatly improve a person's health. A big problem with supplements in many countries, is that some of them just plain suck. In fact companies that manufacture supplements don't have to ensure their products are safe or effective before selling them. What I highly recommend is that you check out a video guide that can provide some great tips and tricks when shopping for these products. It can tell you what to avoid, what to look for when shopping for supplements and a ton more like herbal remedies, alternative medicine, what to take for skincare. Oh, and it's completely free so you don't really have a risk when it comes to checking it out. Love the youtube videos! I've changed my diet about 3 months ago; switched to: fruit in the morning, and green salad for lunch. Given up on dairy & grains. Very difficult however to go all raw -mainly because of social pressure ("don't you want to enjoy life a little?" is what I hear a lot); so at night I go with the flow and eat whatever. As a spiritual person, I would like to hear what you have to say about this statement in particular. 24:17 – Melissa – I was wondering if you could please have type 1 diabetics testimonials on your channel and them telling their story? I only know of Marcie and that would give me a lot of motivation. 36:32 – I have been having bad sleeping problems.  For a while now, almost every night I start freezing at 9 or 10:00 pm and it's really hard for me to get warm.  This problem is contributing to insomnia, along with stress, anxiety... Lately it's been happening about every other night, I think because I'm on break from school.  On these nights, I end up falling asleep around 2 am.  I just want to sleep, and it's not really working and it's really frustrating.  What do you think about this? 43:04 – Carter - Howdy , found you on youtube a year ago, Love ya , so inspirational and im so glad! im turning twenty been having problems for four years started with hair loss, scalp fungus and dermatitis to psoriasis at times at 16. I still have hair thinning mainly on left top side of my head but generally all over, inflammed scalp and fungus, food allergies, at times kidney pain and underweight. Was wondering if could suggest herbs, glandular to buy single and a protocol because I can't buy your formulas. 53:29 – Kim - Please first let me tell you what privilege it is that you are answering my question. My question is in regards to tinitus. My husband suffers from it. He believes it started when he was a young child and a gun went off very close to his ear. Not sure what side but he has it in both ears. It is a constant ringing or buzzing. Of course he was told there there is no cure. I think you are the only person who can help him. Do you think this can be cured?  If so, can you outline a protocol for me.  1:01:48 – rita marie - I am hoping you can help me. I have ringworm and have had it for over a year. I am a vegan and eat a high raw fruit and vegetable diet. I do eat some cooked vegetables, beans, potatoes and 72 percent chocolate. Also, I have about 2 tablespoons of organic cocoa powder with hot water every day. I don't know how I got this ringworm and why it won't go away. It did go away in two spots but on my ankle and back there are spots that will not go away. My naturopathic doctor, who I have seen twice about this, recommended grapefruit seed extract supplements and the external use of collidal silver. I have tried creams from my family doctor and now he wants to give me oral anti-fungal pills but I do not want to take them because of the side effects. During the past year I have tried all the natural remedies I have found online including, apple cider vinegar, oregano oil, tea tree oil (all externally) epsom salt soaks, lavender oil etc etc. 1:11:17 – Georgette - Would you please speak to us about the BII (breast implant illness) movement that's taking place right now and mycotoxins as they relate to this subject? 1:16:29 – Jasmyne - dear dr morse-your love for this matter is greatly appreciated, as we are learning and learning how to get to the heart of the matter. researchers have labeled an endogenous regulation system "the endocannabinoid system" and point to the application of CBD oil from industrial hemp to augment "cannabinoid dis-regulation" in the body.  please shed some light on what it means to approach the understanding here without the use of this specific plant chemical supplement 1:24:20 – Ashley - I was in really rough shape about four years ago with tachycardia stomach pains hair loss. Started fruit fasting and heal all tea with a lot of mucus being removed. Now its three years with a lot of great progress. A couple issues is coughing little green stones and some upper jaundice. Hair loss improved but not as fast as certain areas growing out. A little apprehensive about a deeper fast, the best fruit and how long to do it. Thank you. 1:29:53 – Karolina - Hi, I'm Karolina. I'm 17 years old & have been diagnosed with closed angle glaucoma at 14. Since then I've been taking 4 cortisone eyedrops twice daily, and offered implant surgery.  i'm aware of the long-term side effects of taking these medications and how they inhibit my body's detoxification, and I want to know what I can do to possibly better my condition. In all other areas I have relatively good health, I've been vegan for a full year and I have a healthy BMI, but seeking optimal health.

5 Foods To Avoid For Psoriasis .......................................... Psoriasis is a very troublesome skin condition that affects more people around the world then you think. In the U.S. alone, there are millions of people who suffer from symptoms of this disease. This is similar to other countries around the world as well. Psoriasis is a chronic skin disease that causes both scaling a inflammation. This is because those who have psoriasis do not experience consistent cell turnover, and the skin cells begin to rise rapidly and grow on top of each other. We will discuss foods that may help treat psoriasis at the end of the video, but to start, lets discuss some foods you will want to avoid if you suffer from this disease. 1. If you suffer from psoriasis, one of the most beneficial things you can do is immediately cut alcohol from your diet. Alcohol has been known to negatively affect those who suffer from this disease. When consumed, alcohol may lead to psoriasis outbreaks due to increased inflammation. This is because alcohol opens the blood vessels of the skin, making them dilated. When they are dilated, T cells and white blood cells can get into the outer layers of our skin more easily and efficiently. These T cells are believe to be one of the things responsible for psoriasis symptoms. Drink alcohol only in moderation, or remove it from your diet all together. 2. “Junk” food, especially sugary foods and refined sugar, can also make psoriasis symptoms worse. This also includes fast food, cookies and high fat foods. Since psoriasis is an inflammatory condition, these types of fatty and sugary foods filled with saturated and trans fats, as well as refined starches and sugar, can all promote inflammation throughout the body and skin. These foods can all lead to weight gain, which not only hurts our overall health, but may actually aggravate psoriasis as well. 3. Tomatoes may also aggravate symptoms of psoriasis. This includes other “nightshade” vegetables such as peppers. Some people who suffer from psoriasis report a worsening of symptoms when they eat these foods, and exacerbates their psoriasis. These foods contain a chemical compound known as solanine, which may trigger psoriasis symptoms and lead to skin complications. 4. Fatty red meat foods can also lead to a worsening of psoriasis symptoms. If you do enjoy red meat or other meat products but suffer from this disease, it is often recommended that you stick to lean meat sources. Red meats high in fat contain a polyunsaturated fat called arachidonic acid. This type of fat can aggravate symptoms because it can be easily converted into inflammatory compounds. 5. Lastly, dairy products can also lead to worse symptoms of psoriasis and you may want to avoid them. Like fatty red meat, dairy products such as cow’s milk contains inflammatory arachidonic acid. As well, many dairy products contain casein protein, which can also lead to increased inflammation. Egg yolks are also known for being high in inflammation creating arachidonic acid, so you will want to eat these foods in moderation or remove them from your diet all together. If you suffer from psoriasis, consider trying to remove these foods from your diet and see if it is helpful for your condition. There are some foods that are said to be beneficial for psoriasis. These foods include blueberries, oatmeal, salmon, carrots and avocados, all of which have great anti-inflammatory properties. Thank you for watching the video! Please like, comment and share. PSORIASIS - NATURAL TREATMENT THAT WORKS

07:27
►► http://psoriasisrevolution.aedvz.com ◄◄ THE MOST POWERFUL NATURAL TREATMENT FOR PSORIASIS THAT EXISTS AND REALLY WORKS!!! PSORIASIS - NATURAL TREATMENT THAT WORKS Hi. And welcome once again to psoriasis revolution. This time we will see Natural Treatment For Psoriasis That Works. Of all of the skin problems people experience, psoriasis can be one of the most frustrating. It often starts with a terrible itchy scalp that keeps you awake nights...you try many skin products, only to find it can come right back with a vengeance. What starts out as being very itchy, turns into red bumps, then larger thicker 'plaques' of it, often with a white silvery scale. Needless to say, it can be quite embarrassing at work when you get an uncontrollable itch, or in public when you go swimming and people wonder if the red patches on your knees and elbows are contagious (it's not). It is especially hard on kids at school where they can be teased about it. In this article I will discuss a few new ways of understanding the problem and its causes, and some fundamental and effective naturopathic treatment strategies. Skin Cell Growth. In normal skin, there is a balance of skin cells that form and skin cells that die - it takes about 28 days for skin cells to fully form. However, when the skin is damaged, there are more skin cells formed, which also draws more blood into the area causing redness and swelling (inflammation). Similarly, in psoriasis, this process also occurs, although the process of skin cell development is accelerated to take only 4 days, with thirty times more new skin cells. What causes this rapid piling up of skin cells in people with psoriasis? Triggers and Causes of Psoriasis. About one-third of people with psoriasis have other family members with it as well. Despite the genetic predisposition, there must be a specific trigger to start the process. Recent research has found that the problem is not in the skin cells themselves, but is a reaction of the immune system. Some of the immune-related triggers of psoriasis include any infection, such as from strep throat, viruses, or yeast; physical injury (even a cut or scrape); pregnancy; an emotional crisis or stress; and medications (eg: lithium, blood pressure drugs). From a naturopathic perspective, we also know that our immunity is dramatically affected by nutritional deficiencies, a liver overwhelmed with toxins, and by what is happening in the digestive tract - with psoriasis what happens on the inside can have profound effects to the outside. Other factors that are associated with psoriasis include obesity, type 2 diabetes, alcohol consumption, smoking, and excessive animal fats in the diet. Most underlying factors tend to fall in four categories - nutrition, toxicity, digestion, and stress. In my experience, these are the basic components to address in all patients with psoriasis. Conventional Treatment. The conventional treatment of the most common forms of psoriasis include topical skin treatments like coal tar, corticosteroids, synthetic vitamin A and D ointments, and ultraviolet phototherapy. For moderate to severe cases, immunosuppressive medications may be used such as methotrexate or cyclosporine. Newer 'biological agents' have been developed that block specific parts of the immune system. Most of these treatments have significant adverse effects, and can be costly, it's no wonder that more psoriasis sufferers are looking to natural solutions. Basic Naturopathic Treatment. From the naturopathic perspective, some of the important basics to ensure positive results are to improve the diet, detoxify, improve digestive health, and balance stress. Note that topical treatment can help, but full resolution will only come from the inside out. From the dietary perspective, it is fundamental to eliminate the foods that trigger the immune system. I recommend doing an elimination diet where suspect foods are cut out for 3 weeks to see if symptoms improve - common culprits are wheat, dairy, eggs, and soy. An alternative to this is a blood test checking for immune system antibodies to common foods. It is interesting to note that 16% of psoriasis sufferers have an immune reaction to the gluten protein found in grains (wheat, barley, kamut, spelt, oats, rye, triticale). For these people, eliminating gluten in the diet usually solves the psoriasis, amazing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb1FRDLVTdY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lffGN0R-mk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv8-rhyfgYc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi3Lx08Gqzo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPx3cqawTh8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKWIN9nNqgg

Root cause of vitiligo, thyroid issues, autoimmune diseases etc!!

10:26
I strongly believe after much research that the root cause of autoimmune diseases (vitiligo, Hashimotos, psoriasis, etc.) is that our immune systems are weakened from our diets, an overgrowth of bad bacteria, and damaged intestines in which 70-80% of our immune system resides. It is now being questioned whether or not cancer is also causes by a candida yeast overgrowth and weakened immune system. Supplements: L-Glutamine powder - 1/2 tsp on empty stomach 2-3 times a day. Also helps with IBS. Helps rebuild the lining of your intestines and boosts immune system. NAC (nac-acetyl cysteine) - 600mg. Live cleanser. Helps reduce effects of HIV/AIDs and toxicity of chemotherapy. Helps with vitiligo and autoimmune diseases by eliminating toxins and pollutants from your system. Also helps with hang overs from alcohol and cleansing your system. Betaine HCL 648 mg- for low stomach acid, usually caused or related to candida yeast overgrowth. Has 150mg of pepsin in it. Take with and after meals. Keybiotics - a probiotic to boost your immune system, balance your gut bacteria, kill off the candida yeast (candida overgrowth causes yeast infections, obesity, diabetes, possibly cancer, etc). Has 37.5 BILLION organisms.

What Causes Psoriasis To Flare Up - Part 4

02:28
http://oaksmail.com/psoriasis - Discover Unknown Tips to Eliminate Psoriasis Forever! What Causes Psoriasis To Flare Up - Part 4 This video forms part of a 7-part video series on Understanding Psoriasis. This is the 4th video in the series. As a psoriasis sufferer you will be only too aware that the skin condition is at its worst when it starts to flare up. But what are the causes of psoriasis flare ups? What triggers psoriasis can vary from person to person but there are definite triggers for psoriasis flare ups. Here are the most common causes of psoriasis flare up: Dry Skin: As simple as it sounds, simple having skin that is too dry can aggrivate your psoriasis. Keeping your skin moisturized can prevent psoriasis flare ups. Stress: You're probably already aware of this one and there's good reason for that - it is a major cause of flare-ups for some people. In some cases it can even trigger the onset of psoriasis for the first time! There are many ways to de-stress your life. Just Google it. Smoking: It's not conclusive but tests are leaning toward the fact that smoking impacts psoriasis and anything that impacts psoriasis can contribute to flare ups. Alcohol: Again, the evidence that the use of alcohol alone can make your psoriasis worse is still inconclusive but it tends to form part of a group of contributory factors. For example, your alcohol intake may rise when you're stressed which in turn, may even increase your stress levels. Cold Weather: We know that psoriasis tends to flare up more in colder weather but the reason is more associated with the lack of exposure to natural sunlight than the actual impact of cold weather. If you can get away to sunnier climes during the winter, your psoriasis will benefit from the trip. And hey, son't forget the added de-stressing benefits. Beta-Blockers: Definitely an established link between beta-blockers and psoriasis. If you're taking them then you may need to speak to your Doctor about alternative options. Upper-Respiratory Infections: Infections can cause an over-active immune system which as we know, causes psoriasis (flares). Strep Throat has been identified as a common trigger so if you keep getting a sore throat... it's time to visit the Doc. Foods: Certain foods DO make psoriasis worse. Discover the foods that you should avoid here: http://the3stepcure.com/lp/lp1/?source=what-causes-psoriasis-to-flare-up Want to learn more about what causes psoriasis to flare up? Coffee and Psoriasis: Does coffee affects psoriasis risk?

01:12
http://revobiolabs.com Coffee and Psoriasis: Does coffee affects psoriasis risk? Coffee and Psoriasis: Psoriasis is a common skin condition that causes skin redness and irritation. Most people with psoriasis have areas of thick, red skin with flaky, silver-white patches called scales. Researcher's research was whether caffeine would lower the risk of psoriasis because there are hypotheses in the past that caffeine might be an anti-inflammatory. However, they found that there was no association between coffee intake and the risk of psoriasis. These findings agree with other studies that found no association between coffee and this skin condition, the researchers noted. The reason that there has been an association of psoriasis with coffee may have to do with smoking and alcohol, which are known risk factors for psoriasis. In the study, those who drank the most coffee also drank the most alcohol and smoked. There have been reports that coffee increases the risk of psoriasis and that coffee helps quell psoriasis. However, this study found no risk or benefit from coffee. The real risk factor may be smoking. Smoking is toxic to every organ system and is especially toxic to the skin. However, Day said that caffeine can be soothing to the skin and it is an ingredient in many skincare products, but it is not used for psoriasis, she said.

How to Cure Psoriasis at Home - Part 1

Get 3 PROVEN Psoriasis Cures here: http://the3stepcure.com/how-to-cure-psoriasis-at-home/ How to Cure Psoriasis at Home - Part 1 This video forms part of a 7-part video series on Understanding Psoriasis. This is the 1st video in the series. TRANSCRIPT: Of people with psoriasis, 11 to 40 percent also develop arthritis, typically between the ages of 20 and 50. Called psoriatic arthritis, this condition causes joint stiffness in the morning, along with inflammation and pain in the fingers and spine. Pink scales also appear on the knees, elbows, lower back, and chest. If the condition is left untreated, it can cause permanent damage to the joints. A recent study indicated that people with severe cases of psoriasis are more likely to develop other serious complications, including depression, obesity, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, and immune-related conditions, such as Crohn's disease. Psoriasis is a skin disorder driven by the immune system, involving a type of white blood cell called a 'T cell'. Normally, T cells help protect the body against infection and disease. In the case of psoriasis, T cells become so active that they trigger other immune responses, which lead to inflammation and to rapid turnover of skin cells. In many cases, there is a family history of psoriasis. Researchers have studied a large number of families affected by psoriasis and identified genes linked to the disease. Genes govern every bodily function, determining the traits passed from parent to child. Want to learn more about how to cure psoriasis at home? What Causes Psoriasis To Flare Up - Part 6

02:34
http://oaksmail.com/psoriasis - Discover Unknown Tips to Eliminate Psoriasis Forever! What Causes Psoriasis To Flare Up - Part 6 This video forms part of a 7-part video series on Understanding Psoriasis. This is the 6th video in the series. Q&A 316 - Scaring, Teeth, Dry Skin, Moving Lymph...

01:21:17
Have a question for YouTube? Click the link below and select "Ask a YouTube question " for your subject. http://www.drmorsesherbalhealthclub.com/pages/contact 00:34 – Jaz – “I am a 33-year-old female from Hawai‘i who currently lives in Greece. Until I was 20, I ate the typical American diet. While I always loved and ate plenty of fruit and a fair amount of vegetables, I ate pork chops, steak, and roast beef like it was my job. My consciousness began to shift in my early 20s, and by the time I was 26 I had left meat behind for good. 98% of the time I have been dairy-free (ghee–have a weakness for Indian food). For a few years in between 2007 and now, I ate fish/seafood but those days are long gone. I am grateful for this shift in consciousness, even if it took quite a while.”… 22:10 – Farnas – “How can we move our lymph? Sport? Rebounding? But what if my kidneys are not filtering how can I move my lymph?? My whole life I had excessive sweating. I was diagnose with Hyperhidrosis. about 3 years ago I had a surgery to remove my sweat glands under my arms. But know I now that sweating is very important for my body L and now I regret what I did a lot L my kidneys are not filtering L and cannot sweat a lot now so what should I do???? How can I support my IG track? Which herbs?” 32:54 – Brianna – “Can a raw food diet heal scaring? And what system is poor healing if scars linked to? I have both minor and severe scarring from an injury I attained as a child and minor scarring from an injury several weeks ago. I really want to heal them completely (they are bright red) but have not been successful. Thanks so much or all you do!” 40:09 – Bri – “Hi dr morse! I'm a 17 year old female just graduating high school; and I really need your help! I have a question regarding detoxification. I went on all fruit (mostly organic) for over a year; with absolutely no cheating whatsoever. In this time several of my teeth began to rot and I lost all my enamel. With this in mind; I also never felt better. I want to return to this diet; however I am extremely fearful that this will happen again(I spent over 3000 on my teeth to fix it). Thanks!” 45:48 – Susanne – “Hi, my name is Susie and I have had very dry skin since I was a baby. My mum tried to find cures and went to any doctor she could find, but they all only gave her creams and she was/is determined it comes from the inside. I still have not found the cause after 39 years and was wondering if you have any ideas? My skin is dry and cracks in dry cold climate and gets better in the sun. No eczema or sensitivity, get red very easily and extreme points are heels, chins and calves, but all over really.” 50:40 - Nicolas - Are sprouted Fenugreek seeds a good addition to our diet? I read very good things about them, apparently a good expectorant and act as a broom for the digestive track. Any thoughts? Can I do GI broom morning and evening or is it too much? I did it once and I felt very tired the following morning. Maybe too much pulling at once drained my nerve energy in the detox process? (see video.) 01:05:39 – Unknown - Hello i have been battling this weird illness for 6 months now. been to the hospital 3 times and they send me back home with pain killers and antibiotics. I suspect it is Lyme. My symptoms started in my upper jaw and roof of my mouth. it would feel like someone is beating me in the head with a bat and my face would start tingling. i am only 20 years old and a student. i live in fort lauderdale. i just had my wisdom teeth taken out thinking that would relieve my symptoms. For some reason i notice it is worse whever i eat bananas or anything that has sugar on it. dentist cant find anything either. i do have amaglams and 1 root canal but with limited funds it is hard for me. i would appreciate any advice you can give? 01:11:13 – Jenna - This may be a crazy question. But I am wondering what exactly do you consider to be fruits? For instance, I have always heard that foods like cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, squash ect are all considered fruits as well. Is this your belief as well? 01:14:33 – Jenn’sPOV - Thank you. You're so helpful. How does one "go after the lymphatic system"? I have hyperthyroidism so I know raw is helpful, but maybe exercise and other things as well?
