Health care and political systems are deeply intertwined, with implications for the quality and equality of access to health care. This symposium explores the political dynamics of health care laws and the way they affect people not only as patients but also as citizens. Health professionals, policy and public health experts, economists, sociologists, and political scientists draw on comparative politics and policies of the states—alone and as part of a federalist system—and on international perspectives to explore the relationships between citizens and their health care. I was beyond surprised how much misinformation is put out there by the GOP , health insurance lobbyist , swift boat ads on YouTube and on TV about health care . I went to this one page on YouTube called "Break The Matrix " . It was full of half truths , flat out lies , rehearsed view points and allot of , for lack of better words , eye candy distractions . While people are looking at this soft porn swift vote video their minds are taken off the facts that 18 to 20 thousand people die every year because of no health insurance .Or the fact half of all bankruptcies are caused by medical bills. Three-quarters of those filings are people with health insurance .Ok , let's tackle some of the claims made by "Break The Matrix " .One, there are 4 health care proposals and none have been decided on yet . Two, if the 8% tax proposal were used it would be cheaper then what most small business pay for your average Blue cross plan now . 70% of health care cost continue to rise and will rise more .Under the current system of private average healthcare employe's are being layed off due to growing health care cost .Or the employer is dropping coverage all together .Three, whatever plan there is would not be govenment run , only government funded . Under the private health care system the insurance company influnces the doctor on who is and who isn't covered for a procedure .Four, health insurance reform is an option .It is not mandated .You can choose your private insurance or one of many offered by the govenmrnt . The Problem of Electronic Harassment — a Presentation by Dr. Matthew Aaron. This is the full version of the presentation that Dr. Matthew Aaron gave at the 1st Annual Unity & Hope Conference for Targeted Individuals in Boston, MA, Oct. 21, 2017. Dr. Aaron’s talk considers electronic harassment, an atrocious crime that can manifest itself as a within-community form of high-tech terrorism. Electronic harassment (EH) involves the use of energy-emitting devices to inflict discomfort and pain, and sometimes, severe physiological effects on targeted individuals (TIs). EH can be carried out by a single perpetrator, acting alone. However, like organized stalking (OS), EH tends to relentlessly follow a victim, so it seems to be generally carried out by an organized group of perpetrators, who conspire to single out and harm their targeted victim. There is a large degree of consensus in the TI Community that EH is facilitated by two types of enabling technologies: directed-energy weapons (DEWs) and through-the-wall surveillance (TWS) technology. Dr. Aaron’s presentation is organized into four parts: (1) possible technologies, criminal actors, and motives behind EH; (2) bio-effects of EH; (3) costs to society of EH, economic and otherwise; (4) key issues related to how we might start counteracting this new crime. Part 1 highlights include: Review of so-called sonic attacks on U.S. and Canadian diplomats in Cuba; and summary (and photos) of alleged black-market drywall with embedded EM transmission medium / waveguide system, which is allegedly used for painful and debilitating microwave attacks in hotel rooms and rental apartments in Vancouver, BC, Canada (this illegal material was encountered in: Apt. 1501 at 1189 Howe Street; Room 2209 of the Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites, 1763 Comox Street; and the apartment of a Maison d’Etre employee living in Hornby Court Apts., 1330 Hornby Street). Part 1 also shows the likely organizational structure of an OS/EH network, and a conceptual map of the growth and interconnections of local and regional organized crime groups involved in OS/EH. Part 2: List of most often-reported bio-effects of EH, indicating alleged bio-effects with and without support from the biomedical literature; photos of 12 different radio wave/microwave injuries (on 7 different victims), including burns, bruises, inflammation, swelling, and apparent connective tissue damage; photos of perpetrators / domestic terrorists in 1190 Hornby Street (members of the Vancouver Microwave Terror Organization); details of 2 directed-energy attacks (from a large, witnessed beam weapon – likely a high-power microwave generator) into 1501-1189 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada on December 20, 2015, showing schematic of beam cross-section after-image burned into victim’s visual field and waveguide impressions dielectrically flash-burned and frozen into solarium window; scientific explanation of the microwave auditory effect and V2K; scientific hypothesis for visual perceptual effects from harassment with modulated radio frequency energy; and scientifically based discussion of why EH is not capable of remotely injecting thoughts directly into the mind, or extracting thoughts from the mind. Part 3: Discussion of the general costs to society imposed by OS/EH. These include: lost work productivity and ruined careers; destabilized families; huge cost of suicides; tremendous costs of racketeering activities facilitated by OS/EH; costs to taxpayers of unnecessary psychiatric holds; lost confidence in police, healthcare, and government; opening of a gateway to pervasive corruption; subversion of the rule of law and the Constitution; and the tacit endorsement of sadistic, criminal behavior, and violence. Part 4: The biggest hurdles on the road to exposure and justice are: the failure of modern psychiatry in relation to the rapid expansion of technology; the lack of traditional types of forensic evidence; the intrinsic double-sided deniability of directed-energy assaults; and the complexities and nuances of the “wicked problem” that EH has become. Dr. Aaron explores these important issues. He encourages government to take swift and decisive action to counteract this problem (or pay the much greater cost of addressing the problem down the road). Organized stalking and electronic harassment pose existential threats to the rule of law and even the security and stability of modern democratic countries. The only viable solution is deterrence. After introducing Glendon Scott Crawford (KKK member) and Eric J. Feight, who were sentenced to federal prison for trying to build a DEW from an industrial-grade X-ray machine, Dr. Aaron discusses how OS/EH will never slow down, unless the criminal leaders and orchestrating perpetrators know the threat of extreme criminal penalties (lengthy prison sentences and forfeiture of assets). Strong counter-action like this will serve as an effective deterrence for would-be perpetrators.

So today Craig is going to look at political ideology in America. We're going to focus on liberals and conservatives and talk about the influencers of both of these viewpoints. Now, it's important to remember that political ideologies don't always perfectly correspond with political parties, and this correspondence becomes less and less likely over time. So, sure we can say that Democrats tend to be liberal and Republicans tend to be conservative, but we're not going to be talking about political parties in this episode. It's also important to note, that there are going to be a lot of generalizations here, as most peoples' ideologies fall on a spectrum, but we're going to try our best *crosses fingers* to summarize the most commonly held viewpoints for each of these positions as they are used pretty frequently in discussions of American politics. It wasn't always this way for the Republican Party. Watch the history of the Democratic Party: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6R0NvVr164 Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO Today’s Republican Party opposes big government. It’s culturally conservative. Its demographic support is strongest among white voters, and it usually dominates elections in the South. And its 2016 presidential nominee has been heavily criticized for inciting racial tensions. But things weren’t always this way. Over the past 160 or so years, the party has undergone a remarkable transformation from the party of Abraham Lincoln… to the party of Donald Trump. It's about more than just economics. To learn more, visit https://reconnectingasia.csis.org/map/ Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO China's Belt and Road Initiative is the most ambitious infrastructure project in modern history. It spans over 60 countries and will cost over a trillion dollars. The plan is to make it easier for the world to trade with China, by funding roads, railways, pipelines, and other infrastructure projects in Asia and Africa. China is loaning trillions of dollars to any country that's willing to participate and it's been a big hit with the less democratic countries in the region. This makes the BRI a risky plan as well. But China is pushing forward because its goals are not strictly economic, they're also geopolitical. So I guess it’s official, if it weren’t before. The left thinks it’s more important to protect illegal aliens who knowingly violate the law than support our troops in uniform who are overseas defending our freedom. Make no mistake: the left owned this shutdown hook, line and sinker. And if they pull the same crap in two weeks, they’ll own it again. __________________________ About: MRCTV is an online media platform designed to broadcast conservative values, culture, politics, liberal media bias, and entertainment to a new and diverse audience on a social media optimized site. Supporters of the President's government takeover of health care have been very careful to not mention the word abortion. They use terms like family planning and reproductive healthcare, but it is becoming harder for them to hide the fact that under a government takeover of health care, taxpayers would be forced to fund abortion for the first time in over 3 decades. On Thursday Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) offered an amendment to insure that organizations like Planned Parenthood were included in the government plan. Sen. Orrin Hatch raised an objection about taxpayer funded abortion. Sen. Mikulski appeared to have been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. While more concerns have been raised that some treatments may not be available to some people, the supporters of this government takeover are intent on making sure abortion is not left out. Think about it, while you or your children or elderly parents may be denied certain treatments or procedures, your tax dollars will underwrite Planned Parenthood, in taking the lives of unborn children. Sign the FRCs petition to make sure your tax dollars do not fund abortion by going to FRC.ORG

Today, Congressman Shuster delivered a one minute speech on the House floor to talk about the dangers the Democrats' healthcare reform plans pose to our nation's seniors. The text of Shuster's speech follows: Mr. Speaker, Healthcare reform should empower all Americans to choose a health care plan that offers them choice and affordability. However, the Democrat plan will only lead to higher taxes, cuts in benefits, and a government takeover of seniors health care. For seniors on fixed incomes, the prospect of being forced to pay more for healthcare could become a frightening reality. The Democrat plan would raise Medicare prescription drug premiums by 20 percent over the next decade and deny seniors the choice of keeping their current coverage. The Democrat plan includes $163 billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage. Up to 38,000 seniors in my district would be directly affected by these cuts. Nothing should ever come between seniors and their doctors, yet that is exactly what the Democrats bill does. The American people and our nations seniors deserve better than this reckless rush to reform. I yield back the balance of my time.

Health care is the fastest growing type of federal spending. Back in 1976, we spent just 7% of the federal budget on health care. In 2015, however, the U.S. is projected to spend more than $1 trillion on health care programs, or more than a quarter of the total federal budget. https://democracynow.org - The Republican plan to overhaul the U.S. tax code is now one step closer to passing, after Tennessee Republican Senator Bob Corker abruptly switched his position and announced his support for the controversial bill. The surprise move came after a controversial last-minute addition to the bill that would personally enrich Corker. The provision would slash taxes on income from real estate LLCs; Corker is a real estate mogul. The New York Times reports those who will most benefit from the Republicans’ tax bill are big corporations, multimillionaires, private equity managers, private schools, liquor stores, lawyers, tax accountants and President Trump and his family. Meanwhile, Florida Senator Marco Rubio announced his support for the tax plan on Friday after an expansion to the child tax credit—even though the expansion won’t benefit the children of undocumented parents. Republican lawmakers are now pressing forward for a final vote on Trump’s tax plan this week. We speak with David Sirota, senior editor for investigations at the International Business Times. http://www.positivemoney.org/ Ben Dyson, Founder of Positive Money, speaking at the Positive Money 2014 conference. He recapped how the nature of money has changed since the Bank Charter Act of 1844, which outlawed bank creation of paper money. Most money today is electronic. There had yet to be a democratic debate on the consequences of this. Indeed, there had hardly been any democratic debate on the consequences of Quantitative Easing (QE). In terms of where this private bank money went -- 40 per cent went into the property market, 37 per cent to financial markets, 10 per cent to credit cards and personal loans and only 13 percent to productive business. In our system today, "more money means more debt". If we have a crisis and we want less debt then we have to accept that we will end up with less money circulating, because when the loans are repaid, the money disappears from the economy. Under the present system, there are two ways to get more money into the economy: The first way is to get the private banks creating new money by creating new debt. That is the situation where "more money equals more debt." So, interest rates were lowered to 0.5% in the expectation that "lower interest rates will get people to borrow more." There have also been various "funding for lending" schemes. The second way is to get the Bank of England to create money. It has initiated QE, whereby it creates money and buys bonds from pension funds and insurance companies. This money floods into the bond market and some floods into the stock market. It artificially increases bond prices, in the same way that the banks' privately-created money pushes up mortgage prices. The idea behind QE is that those who see the value of their bonds go up will then spend more on the High Street. But in reality, it means that the relatively small number of people who have the money in the first place, take their money and put even more of it into the bond market. In short, QE is a scheme which has made the very wealthy much better off, but has done very little to create jobs and get the real economy going. Incredibly, around £375 billion has been created but there has been very few questions asked in Parliament about the wisdom of this process, about how the money is created and where it is spent. This is remarkable considering the tortured debates in Parliament about the spending of sums which are a mere fraction of this figure! Ben explained that the alternative is Sovereign Money. The idea of Sovereign Money is that instead of the BoE creating money and putting it into the financial markets, it should be put into the real economy, through spending on infrastructure, through tax cuts, or through the simple expedient of giving it to people. This would allow us to escape from the debt trap where, if we need more money then we must have more debt. http://www.positivemoney.org/our-proposals/sovereign-money-creation/ He said that for every £10 billion which gets added to the government account and spent into the economy then we would get £6 billion coming back in taxes, and that for every £1 which goes in, we would get £2.80 of spending throughout the economy. He suggested that a Sovereign Money creation of £10 billion would lead to 28 billion spending, up to 284 000 jobs and 5.6 billion tax revenue, and lower personal debt. (These calculations come from CBI figures.) Furthermore, this is a policy which can be done now. Private banks will still lend, but Sovereign Money will, to an extent, offset the negative effects of debt. Once it can be shown that Sovereign Money works, then we can point to the full solution, outlined in Modernising Money which is stopping banks creating money in the first place. -------------------------- SUBSCRIBE to Positive Money UK's videos: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=PositiveMoneyUK Like us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/PositiveMoney Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/PositiveMoneyUK Follow us on Google+ http://www.positivemoney.org.uk/googleplus Positive Money is a not-for-profit research and campaign group. In particular they focus on the role of banks in creating the nation's money supply through the accounting process they use when they make loans - an aspect of banking which is poorly understood. Positive Money believe these fundamental flaws are at the root of - or a major contributor to - problems of poverty, excessive debt, growing inequality and environmental degradation. Hello, This short video is on understanding business process modeling concepts. It covers some fundamental principles, importance of creating a business process and some basic business process modeling notations, which every business analyst must be aware of. Thanks for watching this video. WHAT WE OFFER In today’s competitive environment, business analyst’s role is no longer of simply ‘A bridge between Business and IT’. Sean Hannity said in 2008 that presidential candidates who have affairs have a “character issue” because they are “living a life that’s a lie.” Hannity, who made the comments during a discussion about the affair of former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards on Hannity & Colmes, also said that Americans “have a right to know before we elect somebody” whether the candidates have had such affairs. He also speculated, “If you cheat on your wife, are you going to be honest with your country?”.. There is no doubt that patients and families will suffer because of the impossible pressure the NHS is being put under. We cannot allow the NHS to keep going from crisis to crisis. The Liberal Democrats would put a penny on income tax to raise £6bn a year of vital additional investment for the NHS and social care, and we are leading calls for the Government to start a cross-party process to develop a long-term, sustainable financial settlement for these essential services. In which John Green teaches you about the presidency of Andrew Jackson So how did a president with astoundingly bad fiscal policies end up on the $20 bill? That's a question we can't answer, but we can tell you how Jackson got to be president, and how he changed the country when he got the job. Jackson's election was more democratic than any previous presidential election. More people were able to vote, and they picked a doozie. Jackson was a well-known war hero, and he was elected over his longtime political enemy, John Quincy Adams. Once Jackson was in office, he did more to expand executive power than any of the previous occupants of the White House. He used armed troops to collect taxes, refused to enforce legislation and supreme court legislation, and hired and fired his staff based on support in elections. He was also the first president to regularly wield the presidential veto as a political tool. Was he a good president? Watch this video and draw your own conclusions. Recorded on May 11, 2017 John Michael “Mick” Mulvaney, director of the Office of Budget and Management, sits down with Peter Robinson to discuss the complex process of budget reform by having to blend President Trump's budget proposal with the realities of dealing with Congress. Mulvaney explains the need for bipartisanship in budget negotiations within the Senate to get the budget passed, which means getting at least eight Democrats to vote for the proposed budget (to get to the magic number of sixty votes) and keeping Trump's promises to his base. Mulvaney talks about the unique opportunity for the Republicans to reform the federal budget five months ahead of schedule as a result of the Obama administration’s inability to get a twelve-month budget passed. Furthermore Republicans have been able to invoke old laws that allow them to undo many policies enacted in the late days of the previous administration. That loophole allowed them to confirm several appointments and to pass the proposed budget without the requisite sixty votes but with fifty votes. But the Republicans need sixty votes in the Senate to pass the appropriations bill. The Democrats wanted a shutdown, but the Republicans were able to move money around to satisfy the Democrats and get the votes necessary to pass the appropriations bill and avoid a shutdown. For example, there was/is no money for new bricks and mortar construction of the “Wall,” but Republicans moved money around and funded their priorities for border security via a virtual wall with money already available for technology and surveillance. Mulvaney notes that the budgeting/appropriations system is set up so the House and Senate pass twelve appropriations bills every year. Those are the spending bills, which are the end process of the budget. The budget is the start of the process, authorizations go in the middle, and appropriations go on the end, which is how money gets out to be spent. Mulvaney was in Congress for six years, in which time Congress should have approved seventy-two appropriations bills but only approved three. Mulvaney says that the system is broken because of the sixty-vote rule to approve appropriations bills in the Senate. Therefore instead of small manageable appropriation bills that Congress could negotiate and pass, Congress ends up with large unwieldy bills that no one knows what is in them and thus punts with a resolution to continue with what done earlier. Mulvaney says that the system is not even close to what the Founding Fathers created and/or what is needed for a manageable and functioning government and society. Mulvaney describes his vision for the future of the American economy, noting that the way to reduce the deficit isn't necessarily cutting spending or raising taxes but creating room in the American economy for growth. He argues that the lack of new businesses and jobs, because of regulations and taxes, has prevented the ideal three percent growth necessary to eliminate the deficit and grow the economy. He also argues that regulatory reform can have twice the impact on economic growth that tax policy can. Mulvaney ends the interview saying that he loves his job and loves going to work. The eighty-plus-hour workweeks go by in the blink of an eye because the work is engaging and invigorating and because he feels he has a golden opportunity to change things for the better and get the United States, especially the economy, on a better trajectory. Mulvaney said that he is working at the highest levels on complicated but wonderful ideas, ideals, and issues with the leader of the free world and that President Trump is a great boss. http://ourfuture.org bloggers Terrance Heath and Bill Scher debate whether the Senate's health care reform bill is so badly compromised that it's no longer worth the support of progressives, and discuss why conservatives were more successful than progressives in shaping the legislation. Some progressives argue that though the Senate bill as it stands now does not have any form of public option, it is still better than no bill at all. Do you agree? Significant evidence suggests that employment leads rather than trails economic growth. That conclusion supports programmatic initiatives to create jobs directly in the public sector. At issue here are models that identify sovereign money as a public commitment that anticipates -- and enables -- productivity rather than expending a finite resource.
