Must Know: Why You Need to Stay Away From These Vitamins

09:59
Must Know: Why You Need to Stay Away From These Vitamins Multivitamin and mineral supplements became available in the 1940s, and Americans actively use them ever since. Nowadays, millions of people use supplements in order to strengthen their health and avoid nutrient deficiencies. Most people take a balanced combination of essential vitamins and minerals in the form of a multivitamin, such as Centrum vitamins. Multivitamins accounted for 40 percent of all supplement purchases, which is $5.7 billion out of the $37 billion in supplement sales in 2014 alone. Centrum vitamins, by Pfizer, are the best-selling multivitamins in the country. Their produces is the biggest pharmaceutical company worldwide, which deals mainly in manufactured chemicals. Yet, the company is also known due to the numerous legal battles, frauds, and controversy. It was recently threatened to be sued over false claims about Centrum vitamins in 2012 by the consumer watchdog group Center for Science in the Public Interest. Eventually, the company had to pull claims about breast and colon health. Moreover, it lacks regulation, specificity, and even standards. Namely, the multivitamins ask for no set standards or levels. Yet, it does what all big corporations regularly do: it pays large sums of money for advertising their chemically and synthetically enhanced supplements which can, in fact, do more harm than good. Apparently, even though these multivitamins are advertised to boost immunity and kick your metabolism they actually contain multiple additives which can be harmful or toxic to your body. Centrum vitamins contain at least 3 preservatives and several color additives, along with many toxic and even carcinogenic chemicals and additives. Here is a list of their dangerous ingredients: -Calcium Carbonate — This compound is found in rocks, shells, and even pearls. It is sometimes used to raise calcium levels in the body; but has been related to strokes and heart disease, especially in the elderly. Studies have also linked it to heart issues and myocardial infarction. -Polyethylene Glycol — It is often used in the manufacturing of coal-burning plants, rocket fuel, and over-the-counter laxatives. It might lead to kidney damage, hives and other allergic reactions, esophageal bleeding, tears, and autism. In children, it might cause encopresis, which is a continuous leakage of semi-formed feces. -Hydrogenated Oil — Hydrogenated oils quickly become toxic when processed under extreme heat, atmospheres of pressure and injections of metals. Their consumption clogs the arteries, leading to massive heart and arterial issues, and also results in producing cholesterol to bandage artery walls which have been affected. Due to the vascular issues, it affects the brain and causes Alzheimer’s and ADHD. -Food Dye Yellow 6 — This is a toxic food dye which is a carcinogen and might result in allergies, tumors on the kidneys and testes, and chromosomal damage. It might also cause ADHD, hyperactivity, and restlessness. -GMO Corn Starch — It has multiple adverse effects on the body and affects the detoxifying organs such as the liver and kidneys, but also damages the spleen, heart, and adrenal glands. Its another side effect is Hepatorenal Toxicity, which leads to kidney failure and is typically fatal. -Titanium Dioxide — It has been found to be potentially carcinogenic to humans. It’s included in various products as a whitening agent, like in ink, paper, paints, and even cosmetics and toothpaste. Even though it has been previously considered to be safe by the FDA, it has been recently found to cause lung cancer in rats. What is even more disturbing is that the Centrum vitamins for children are even more dangerous, as they include the following hazardous additives: -Cupric Oxide — This copper mineral is known to be dangerous in Europe. It causes kidney disease and childhood cirrhosis, and it is also dangerous to the environment. -Artificial Sweeteners (Aspartame) — As soon as it is ingested, this carcinogenic sweetener is converted to formaldehyde and methanol, and causes 40 adverse side effects, including birth defects, ADD, cancer, lupus, multiple sclerosis and more. -Zinc Oxide — In Europe, it is considered to be harmful, and leads to diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach and more. -Lactose (Milk Sugar) — Lactose makes up 2-8 % of the milk by weight. Specific enzymes in the stomach break it down, leading to lactose intolerance, and symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, cramping, upset stomach, and nausea. Iron Tablets | How To Take Iron Tablets | How To Reduce Iron Supplement Side Effects (2018)

How To Take Iron Tablet Properly | How To Reduce Iron Tablet Side Effects | Iron Supplements For Best Absorption | Iron Vitamin C | Ferrous Sulphate Hey guys! This weeks video is about how to take an iron supplement so you can get the most out of it and how to reduce the side effects associated with them. Iron supplements are prescribed or recommended when when your anaemic or at risk of developing anaemia because the iron stores in your body are low. Symptoms of iron deficiency anaemia can include: • Tiredness and lack of energy • Shortness of breath • Noticeable heartbeats (heart palpitations) • Pale skin HOW TO TAKE YOUR IRON SUPPLEMENT: To help get the best absorption of your iron supplement you should take it on an empty stomach (preferably one hour before a meal or two hours after) with a drink containing vitamin C, such as a glass of orange juice or another juice drink with added vitamin C. Absorption of iron from the gut is reduced by food, tea and milk, so these should be avoided for one hour before and after taking the iron supplement. The precise instructions for when to take your supplements will be discussed with you by the healthcare professional who prescribes them. The only factor that improves the absorption of iron is vitamin C. This is why we recommend that you take your iron supplement with a drink containing vitamin C. HOW DO IRON SUPPLEMENTS WORK: Iron is needed for the production of haemoglobin, which is an essential ingredient in red blood cells. Haemoglobin is very important as it carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. If you don’t have enough iron, you can develop anaemia, which means that you aren’t making enough red blood cells to carry oxygen around your body. You may become breathless, tired and have a lack of energy, your skin may become pale and you may have palpitations (noticeable heartbeats). COMMON SIDE EFFECTS: The following side effects are common, • Stomach upset • Nausea (feeling sick) • Stomach ache • Diarrhoea • Constipation These usually improve as your body gets used to the iron supplements. If the side effects continue to be a problem for you, contact the healthcare professional who prescribed the iron supplements and discuss the possible options I have recommended in the video with them. Iron supplements can also make your stools look darker in colour. This is completely harmless. IRON SUPPLEMENT INTERACTIONS: Some medicines are not suitable for people with certain conditions, and sometimes a medicine may only be used if extra care is taken. For these reasons, before you start taking an iron supplement it is important that your doctor or pharmacist knows: • If you are taking any other medicines. This includes any medicines you are taking which are available to buy without a prescription, as well as herbal and complementary medicines. • If you have ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine. Link to iron supplement interactions, this link is for ferrous sulphate a commonly prescribed iron supplement. If you are taking a different iron supplement, on the same page you can search the name of it and click interactions - https://bnf.nice.org.uk/interaction/ferrous-sulfate-2.html IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ALL MEDICINES: Never take more than the prescribed dose. If you suspect that you or someone else might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the accident and emergency department of your local hospital. Take the container with you, even if it is empty. This medicine is for you. Never give it to other people even if their condition appears to be the same as yours. If you are having an operation or any dental treatment, tell the person carrying out the treatment which medicines you are taking. If you have any questions about this medicine ask your pharmacist. About 75% of people in the world are deficient, so being deficient in zinc is very common. The 5 warning signs you’re zinc deficient: 1.) If you get sick a lot or have immune system issues 2.) Have leaky gut (http://draxe.com/7-signs-symptoms-you-have-leaky-gut/) 3.) If you struggle with diarrhea or IBS 4.) Thinning hair 5.) Inflammatory skin issues like acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis One of the biggest factors in causing zinc deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. The second most common cause of zinc deficiency is over-exercise. The third most common reason your zinc deficient is if you’re pregnant or breast feeding. Lastly, if you’re older, you may tend to have malabsorption, which causes a zinc deficiency. In order to get more zinc in your diet, you need to consume more zinc-rich foods. The top 5 zinc-rich foods are pumpkin seeds, oysters, grass-fed beef, sprouted nuts and seeds, and peas. Additionally, probiotics are a key supplement to take when zinc deficient because it can help your overall absorption of nutrients. 12 Ways Your Body Tries To Tell You That Your Liver Is Being Damaged

04:55
12 Ways Your Body Tries To Tell You That Your Liver Is Being Damaged The liver is the largest solid organ in your body. It is located in the right upper quadrant of your abdomen and partly protected by the ribs. You need your liver for many important bodily functions and cannot live without your liver. For this reason, you should know the early signs of liver damage and take care of your liver as much as you possibly can. There are more than a hundred different kinds of diseases of the liver. Each has its own set of symptoms. Some of these diseases include alcoholic liver disease, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and cirrhosis of the liver. The early signs of liver disease tend to be easily overlooked and are non-specific, related to any number of different conditions. Here are some common early signs. 1. Upset Stomach You are likely to get nausea and vomiting. They can mimic other diseases, such as migraines, food poisoning, vertigo, motion sickness, early pregnancy, depression and vomiting. It can mimic kidney problems as well. Those who suffer from early liver damage often feel persistently nauseous, because the liver has a decreased ability to rid the body of toxins. The nausea can also be due to ongoing metabolism and changes in digestion. If you have these symptoms for several days and don’t know why, seek the attention of your doctor. 2. Fatigue and Overall Weakness One of the early and obvious signs of liver damage is constantly feeling tired and weak. When the liver is not in great condition, the body must work harder and you will need more rest. This is due to an increase in toxins in the bloodstream that can’t be cleared out because the liver can’t get rid of the toxins properly. If the symptoms persist, especially with other early signs of liver damage, seek medical advice as soon as you can. 3. Lack of Appetite This happens due to a lack of production of bile that helps digest fat in the diet. When food isn’t properly digested, it can lead to a lack of appetite and a severe loss of weight. See your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time. 4. Digestion Problems The liver is important in digestion because it makes bile that helps the nutrients be better processed and absorbed by the small intestines. If the liver is failing, you can develop an increase in indigestion and diarrhea. If the bile is not produced properly, you can also experience irritable bowel syndrome, fatty food intolerance, alcohol intolerance, abdominal bloating, constipation and gallstones. If this becomes severe, you need to seek the medical attention of a doctor. 5. Alterations in the Color of Urine If you think you are drinking enough but still have a dark color of your urine, this may be one of the early signs of liver damage. The urine may look brown, amber, or orange in color because of elevated levels of bilirubin in the bloodstream. The bilirubin is elevated because the liver cannot get rid of the bilirubin and it is excreted through the kidneys. Dark urine may also be due to dehydration, side effects of taking antibiotics, taking B vitamin supplements, urinary tract infections, enzyme deficiencies or kidney abnormalities. The doctor can help sort out the cause of dark urine. 6. Changes in Stool Coloration Because the bile is not made enough by a malfunctioning liver, the color of the stool changes. Instead of being brown, it can become pale yellow, clay colored, or gray in appearance. If this happens periodically, it is not dangerous, but if it happens often, seek the advice of your doctor to check out your liver. https://youtu.be/VOx8ikPmaos

5 Top Side Effects of Iron Tablets

01:20
Common side effects of taking iron supplements include constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and black stools, according to MedlinePlus. A benefit of taking iron tablets instead of liquid iron supplements is that they don’t stain your teeth the way liquid iron supplements can. If constipation occurs from ingesting iron tablets, ask your doctor about using a stool softener. Taking iron tablets with food can help prevent nausea and vomiting. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "5 Reasons To Add Kickboxing To Your Fitness Regime" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV-tCC-ApKw -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

The 3 Huge Intermittent Fasting Mistakes

Add Your Before & After Success: https://www.drberg.com/add-client-suc... Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about the 3 big intermittent fasting mistakes. MISTAKES: 1. If it works, people change it. No -if it works, do not change it. Only change those things that do not work. 2. Not using hunger as an indicator of keto-adaptation. If you are severely hungry with low blood sugar symptoms (dizzy, lightheadedness, brain fog, irritability, etc.), then you have not adapted yet and this means you need to add more fat, add a meal and gradually do intermittent fasting as some people go too fast too quickly. 3. Neglecting vegetables. You need large quantities to offset the fat burning effect as well as getting your vitamins and minerals. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 51 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional and natural methods. His private practice is located in Alexandria, Virginia. 9 Worst Supplements (Stop Wasting Money!)

07:06
These are the 9 worst supplements that you don't want to waste your money on. Most bodybuilding and weight loss supplements don’t work for muscle growth and don't work for permanent fat loss. Some supplements like malatonin actually do work while others like mass weight gainers and multivitamins don't believe it or not.. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Challenge: https://gravitychallenges.com/home65d4f?utm_source=ytube&utm_term=timber Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/2S1bFyM Timestamps: #1 Synthetic Multi Vitamins 0:18 #2 Hoodia Gordonii 1:04 #3 Beef Protein Powder 1:39 #4 HMB 2:22 #5 Testosterone Boosters 3:01 #6 Garcinia Cambogia 3:37 #7 Weight Gainers 4:00 #8 Liquid Ketones 4:49 #9 Melatonin 5:13 Trying to burn fat? Want to build more muscle? Looking for a supplement that can help you? Here are 9 of the worst supplements for fitness goals. 1. Synthetic Multi-Vitamins Let’s kick off the list with a supplement I can guarantee most of you have sitting on your shelf: a multi-vitamin. While getting your daily dose of vitamins and minerals is a good thing, synthetic multi-vitamins can be problematic. Your body can’t effectively absorb synthetically-created vitamins and minerals, and that is why you’ll find up to 1,000% of your daily recommended allowance for a nutrient in just one serving. This poses the risk for over-dosing. What’s more, many of these nutrients compete with one another. For example, taking calcium with zinc interferes with the absorption of zinc. Finally, studies are conflicting at best on whether a multi-vitamin can truly help or not. Save your money and get your daily vitamins and minerals from whole foods. 2. Hoodia Hoodia gordonii is a plant that is native to parts of South Africa, and it made waves over a decade ago as a weight loss supplement. The problem is that it was released with reported weight loss benefits and no real studies. Once studies began, the results were embarrassing at best. One study found that the group supplementing with Hoodi – over 200 people – experienced a variety of side effects. The most common were nausea and vomiting. The placebo group had no problems at all. Despite these results, you’ll still find Hoodia being widely sold and incorporated into weight loss supplements. Steer clear of this one. 3. Beef Protein Powder Let me get one thing clear: the protein you get from eating real beef is great. It’s bioavailable, supports muscle building, and helps with weight management. With that said, beef protein powder supplements are not made from real meat. Beef protein powder is the result of taking cow leftovers such as bones and tendons, boiling them, then drying the results into a flavored powder form. It’s a way to make a cheap product and sell it at a higher price tag than the more popular whey protein. Beef protein powder has a terrible rate of bioavailability. The creatine levels found in natural beef are nonexistent in this supplement. Just because you see “beef protein” on a label doesn’t mean a thing. Stick with whey protein for weight loss and muscle building. 4. HMB Beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate is a leucine metabolite that is often touted as an excellent way to support muscle mass. Unfortunately, the research doesn’t exactly agree. One research review examined the results of several studies on HMB and guess what…Not much could be said. In fact, one of the researchers commented that stricter controls were needed on HMB studies to determine whether or not it could enhance fitness results. While HMB might be able to prevent a degree of muscle breakdown, it’s often marketed as an anabolic supplement that increases mass. However, no reputable human-based study has presented concrete evidence of it as an effective muscle mass builder. 5. Testosterone Boosters Testosterone is the holy grail for guys. It promotes muscle building, fat loss, and a positive mood. Unfortunately, most of the testosterone boosters you find online and your local supplement stores are useless. There are two problems with t-boosters: First, many blends contain ingredients with no scientific evidence to back up the claims of their test-enhancing ability. Second, when a testosterone booster does contain an effective ingredient, it’s under-dosed to the point of being ineffective. If you want to improve your t-levels, focus on diet and exercise, not a supplement. 6. Garcinia Cambogia This weight loss supplement became a superstar thanks to Dr. Oz, when he deemed it a miracle in a bottle. Not only was this not the case but Dr. Oz also landed in hot water with Congress for making unproven claims in order to sell supplements. Human trials show that there was no difference between the group taking garcinia cambogia and the control group. Want to lose weight? Look elsewhere. 7. Weight Gainers

Creatine: How to Best Use It for Muscle Growth (Avoid Side Effects)!

07:22
Creatine is one of the few supplements out there that is actually well-backed by research in terms of its effectiveness. However, there’s a lot of confusion out there as to how to take creatine and how creatine works. In terms of “what does creatine do”, it simply allows a faster regeneration of ATP in our muscles. Since ATP is the main form of energy for our muscles, this enables us to perform an extra rep or two during our training. As for the best creatine to take and how to use creatine effectively, stick to creatine monohydrate and take your creatine with your post-workout meal. There seems to be a slight benefit to taking creatine post-workout, and it actually drastically improves its effectiveness by taking creatine with carbohydrates and protein. Now as for whether creatine causes hair loss or other side effects, research is inconclusive at the moment. Long-term creatine supplementation does not cause any adverse health effects but may increase DHT which is a hormone that accelerates male pattern baldness in those who are susceptible or have it in their family history. Thus, those who are susceptible may want to consider that. But more research is definitely needed – the findings aren’t as serious as many people make it out to be. My name is Erika and welcome to my YouTube channel. I've had this channel since 2009 but only started uploading regularly last year. I am a born and raised New Yorker. I've been a performer my whole life and in 2009 was offered the job of a lifetime - performing for Disney Cruise Line. Over three years with the company, I portrayed some of Disney's most beloved characters, danced my heart out, and met my husband! In 2013, I moved up to Toronto, Canada and studied for my full STOTT Pilates certification. Then, that summer, my husband and I got our first apartment on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, NY! In December 2013, my husband (then boyfriend) came home from his last ship contract and proposed! We got married at The Russian Tea Room in New York City on January 24th, 2015. We love adventure, and after 3 years living in Manhattan, in May 2016, we moved down to Celebration, Florida! In December 2016, I danced in the Macy's Holiday Parade at Universal Studios and had the time of my life! Although we've loved Florida, in May 2017, we moved back to New York to be closer to family and friends. In June 2017, we got the best news in the world - that we were expecting our first baby due March 2018. We are so excited that our little family is growing! PHEW.. So that's my story! I don't know what adventures lie ahead but I am SO excited to share them with all of you!

This Is What Happens When You Drink a Coffee on an Empty Stomach

03:06
You might think drinking coffee in the morning is a great idea. You may even think it’s a great way to get yourself going in the morning. But you’d be surprised to learn that drinking coffee first thing in the morning- especially on an empty stomach- is a terrible idea. Why? Let’s take a look at a few reasons. 1. Stomach Acid Your stomach has hydrochloric acid, which, at the right level, helps your body digest food properly. When your stomach is empty, this acid doesn’t have much to work with, so it can slosh around and hurt your stomach. Drinking a cup of coffee on that empty stomach adds to the problem by putting more acid in your body. Always having too much stomach acid will harm your stomach and digestive tract, leading to problems like heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, and stomach ulcers. 2. Bad Digestion Having caffeine on an empty stomach ruins digestion, leading to a bloated feeling and other signs of irritable bowel syndrome, like pain and irregularity. How? Caffeine acts like your adrenal glands, which create stress hormones called cortisol and adrenaline. When these hormones flood your body, they raise your heart rate and blood pressure, and your liver starts letting out blood sugar to give energy to muscles so that you can run away. Your digestive system also shuts down to send energy to where it is needed most. 3. Anxiety When you go through your morning on an empty stomach, you lower your brain’s power to properly break down serotonin. Serotonin is the “happy, calm hormone”. When your brain is unable to break down this hormone properly, it causes anxiety and depression. Throwing a cup of coffee on top of that empty stomach causes anxiety by boosting your body’s cortisol and adrenaline levels. That will leave you feeling shaky, nervous, and weak. 4. Dehydration Drinking coffee on empty stomach raises the amount of fluid that your body passes, and can cause dehydration. If you’re like most people, you’ll likely answer to that dehydration by reaching for yet another cup of coffee, making things even worse for yourself. 5. Low Levels of Serotonin Very few people know about this, but coffee will make you feel less hungry. People who drink coffee right away in the morning sometimes end up skipping breakfast. Skipping your first meal of the day can ruin your body’s power to make serotonin, a neurotransmitter in charge of making you feel happy and calm. Also, serotonin is very important for a good night’s sleep. Your body changes serotonin into melatonin at night. Low levels of melatonin usually lead to insomnia problems. If you like drinking coffee, make sure to always have it after breakfast. Inositol Side Effects – 7 Dangers to Taking a Supplement and What It Actually Does!

05:02
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free video guide to dietary supplements and alternative medicine! Today I'm going to share with you the major inostol side effects and what it is known for. Your body runs on something called glucose, which is created from carbohydrates. Inostol is a carbohydrate that is also created from glucose. Some people believe this substance is apart of the B vitamin group, but others disagree because humans can create it, plus it doesn't have a nitrogen element. Apart from our bodies creating inositol, it can also be found in certain foods as well as in a dietary supplement. The reason it's in a dietary supplement is because it can positively impact the health of humans in a variety of ways. For starters it impacts how nerves communicate with each other. Nerves enable someone to walk, feel objects and hold objects. It also has a role in the health of cell membranes, which is the outer protective layer of them. Due to cancer having to do with a damaged cell and inositol affects cell health, some people feel this nutrient can prevent or treat cancer, but it hasn't been proven. It also plays a role when it comes to how the body converts glucose into carbohydrates, processing nutrients and improving brain function. From all the areas that this nutrient affects you can see how it might be able to help with certain ailments and this is why companies have put it in a supplement form and sale it. Like all things in life there are risks, but the good news is that with this substance they are fairly minimal. Just like with any dietary supplement your body could not like it. This could create a nauseous feeling of wanting to throw up and an upset stomach. There is a also a chance that when someone takes it they could experience diarrhea as the body attempts to eliminate the substance. One of the more serious side effects is that it may cause someone to feel dizzy. As you can imagine if someone is driving a motor vehicle being dizzy isn't the ideal state to be in. Headaches could also be created by inositol. Since it's a type of sugar a person may get a sugar rush from injected a high dose from a supplement. Some people have reported disturbances to their sleeping routine, a person may experience their skin being more red, hot and itchy. This is due to histamine levels increasing, which is an allergic reaction. If someone is pregnant or nursing they shouldn't take inositol. Lastly there are certain ingredients in dietary supplements that could be dangerous. One example is titanium dioxide, which is used in sunscreen to prevent skin cancer. Some research has noted that it's a possible carcinogen when injected and there are other ingredients that you should be aware of. To sum everything the leading inositol side effects include nausea, an upset stomach, diarrhea, dizziness, headaches, insomnia and red or itchy skin. Supplements and alternative medicine can be confusing and even harmful. Make things really simple and give your body a HUGE edge by viewing a free video guide I created at http://utahtexans.com/.

Symptoms Diagnosis and Treatment of B12 deficiency

09:14
www.DrHagmyer.com In this video Dr Hagmeyer explains the different kinds of B12 vitamins, the symptoms of B12 deficiency and the causes of B12 deficiency. The following are the most common symptoms for megaloblastic anemia. However, each individual may experience symptoms differently. Symptoms may include: Weak, Numbness or tingling in hands and feet, Difficulty walking, Nausea, Decreased appetite, Weight loss, Irritability, Lack of energy or tiring easily (fatigue), Diarrhea, smooth and tender tongue, Increased heart rate (tachycardia), The symptoms of megaloblastic anemia may resemble other blood conditions or health problems. Other types of megaloblastic anemia may be associated with type 1 diabetes, thyroid disease, and a family history of the disease. I'm also going to talk about how to overcome Vitamin B12 deficiency and the health benefits of Vitamin B12. Surprisingly, about 40% of the population is deficient. The biggest reason most people have Vitamin B12 deficiency is because they don’t have a healthy digestive system to digest this vitamin properly, also known as leaky gut. If you can’t absorb nutrients and vitamins properly, then you won’t be able to absorb the vitamins you need for optimal health. People who struggle with leaky gut or digestive issues, vegans or vegetarians, and people who don’t’ have enough probiotics in their diet all tend to have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. Some of the benefits of Vitamin B12 include red blood cell formation, which is vital to heart health, cellular function, and supporting the brain and nerve system. If you want to overcome Vitamin B12 deficiency, then you must identify the cause and then follow these specific steps: 1. Consume more Vitamin B12-rich foods (liver, wild caught fish, grass-fed lamb and beef) 2. Probiotic (increases absorption) 3. Heal your gut (getting inflammatory foods out of your diet 4. Supplementation (VitaminB12, B complex, desiccated liver supplement) 5.Get blood work and Tested for MTHFR and other possible causes. http://www.drhagmeyer.com/hashimotos-thyroid-disease/watch-out-for-vitamin-b12-deficiency-with-hashimoto/ http://www.drhagmeyer.com/natural-treatments/b12-deficiency-some-researchers-calling-it-a-silent-epidemic-with-serious-consequences/ http://www.drhagmeyer.com/natural-treatments/tests-to-understand-depression-and-anxiety-in-thyroid-disease-organic-acid-testing/

Vitamin E के नाम पर किया जा रहा है गुमराह, Vit E खाने या चेहरे या बालों पर लगाने से पहले जरूर देखें

05:31
Vitamin E is key for strong immunity and healthy skin and eyes. In recent years, vitamin E supplements have become popular as antioxidants. These are substances that protect cells from damage. However, the risks and benefits of taking vitamin E supplements are still unclear. Why do people take vitamin E? Many people use vitamin E supplements in the hopes that the vitamin's antioxidant properties will prevent or treat disease. But studies of vitamin E for preventing cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, cataracts, and many other conditions have been disappointing. So far, the only established benefits of vitamin E supplements are in people who have an actual deficiency. Vitamin E deficiencies are rare. They're more likely in people who have diseases, such as digestive problems and cystic fibrosis. People on very low-fat diets may also have low levels of vitamin E. How much vitamin E should you take? The recommended dietary allowance (RDA) includes the vitamin E you get from both the food you eat and any supplements you take. Category Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol): Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) in milligrams (mg) and International Units (IU) CHILDREN 1-3 years - 6 mg/day (9 IU) 4-8 years - 7 mg/day (10.4 IU) 9-13 year - 11 mg/day (16.4 IU) FEMALES 14 years and up - 15 mg/day (22.4 IU) Pregnant - 15 mg/day (22.4 IU) Breastfeeding - 19 mg/day (28.5 IU) MALES - 14 years and up - 15 mg/day (22.4 IU) The tolerable upper intake levels of a supplement are the highest amount that most people can take safely. Higher doses might be used to treat vitamin E deficiencies. But you should never take more unless a doctor says so. Category (Children & Adults) Tolerable Upper Intake Levels (UL) of Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) in milligrams (mg) and International Units (IU) 1-3 years - 200 mg/day (300 IU) 4-8 years - 300 mg/day (450 IU) 9-13 years - 600 mg/day (900 IU) 14-18 years - 800 mg/day (1,200 IU) 19 years and up - 1,000 mg/day (1,500 IU) Because vitamin E is fat-soluble, supplements are best absorbed with food. Can you get vitamin E naturally from foods? Most people get enough vitamin E from food. Good sources of vitamin E include: Vegetable oils Green leafy vegetables, like spinach Fortified cereals and other foods Eggs Nuts What are the risks of taking vitamin E? The risks and benefits of taking vitamin E are still unclear. Long-term use (over 10 years) of vitamin E has been linked to an increase in stroke. In addition, an analysis of clinical trials found patients who took either synthetic vitamin E or natural vitamin E in doses of 400 IU per day -- or higher -- had an increased risk of dying from all causes, which seems to increase even more at higher doses. Cardiovascular studies also suggest that patients with diabetes or cardiovascular disease who take natural vitamin E at 400 IU per day have an increased risk of heart failure and heart failure-related hospitalization. Vitamin E supplements might be harmful when taken in early pregnancy. One study found that women who took vitamin E supplementation during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy had a 1.7 to nine-fold increase in congenital heart defects. The exact amount of vitamin E supplements used by pregnant women in this study is unknown. A large population study showed that men using a multivitamin more than seven times per week in conjunction with a separate vitamin E supplement actually had a significantly increased risk of developing prostate cancer. The American Heart Association recommends obtaining antioxidants, including vitamin E, by eating a well-balanced diet high in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains rather than from supplements. If you are considering taking a vitamin E supplement, talk to your health care provider first to see if it is right for you. What are the side effects of taking vitamin E? Topical vitamin E can irritate the skin. Overdoses of vitamin E supplements can cause nausea, headache, bleeding, fatigue, and other symptoms. People who take blood thinners or other medicines should not take vitamin E supplements without first talking to their health care provider. I have complied the knowledge gained from various sources in this video, description is taken from webmd... it is 100 % authentic source of information

12 Foods That Will Heal The Pancreas & Prevent Pancreatitis

04:19
The pancreas is a large organ approximately 6 inches long and sits across the back of the abdomen, behind the stomach. It is an important part of the endocrine and digestive systems. The pancreas makes insulin, the hormone needed to keep blood sugar levels in check, as well as it produces a number of enzymes that are required to digest food. When your pancreas becomes inflamed or swollen, it cannot perform its function properly. This medical condition is called pancreatitis, that can be acute (approximately 210,000 cases occur in the United States per year) or chronic. Either form can lead to serious complications. Common symptoms of pancreatitis include - nausea, severe pain in the upper abdomen, pain which worsens after eating, unexplained weight loss, lethargy, oily stools, fever, and vomiting. The most common cause of chronic pancreatitis includes - chronic alcohol consumption, cystic fibrosis, smoking cigarettes, some medicines, carbonated beverages, and hereditary disorders. Therefore, the health of the pancreas is essential for overall human health. Luckily, there is a variety of foods which can heal your pancreas and prevent pancreatitis, like: #1 Sweet potato - is high in vitamin A, dietary fiber, vitamin C, antioxidants and manganese, all necessary nutrients which enhance pancreatic function and lower the instance of pancreatic cancer by more than 50 percent. #2 Broccoli - is primarily known for reducing the risk of pancreatic cancer, on account of having high quantities of quercetin, a flavonol which is very healthy. #3 Garlic - a San Francisco Bay area study issued by the National Cancer Institute linked people who consumed a high garlic diet with a 54% lower risk of pancreatic cancer. #4 Mushrooms - are a great source of selenium, dietary fiber, potassium, thiamin, copper, folate, vitamin B6, and riboflavin; they are great for pancreatic health and also for preventing numerous chronic diseases. #5 Zucchini - is low in carbs, calories, and sugars, but high in essential nutrients, such as manganese, potassium, vitamin B2, and antioxidants including - vitamin A and vitamin C which can play a significant role in pancreatitis prevention. #6 Onion - contains flavonoids that are potent cancer-fighting compounds. Also, onion contains sulfur compounds that are good for keeping the pancreas in good working order. #7 Blueberries - are one of the best sources of antioxidants, that can protect the pancreas from oxidative stress resulting from free-radical damage. Moreover, blueberries can lower your risk of developing life-threatening conditions like pancreatic cancer. #8 Red grapes - are a good source of resveratrol, a strong antioxidant. It is recommended to avoid red wine (and other alcoholic beverages) if you have pancreatitis, and eat plenty of red grapes instead. #9 Kale - a member of the cabbage family, it is a popular vegetable that contains essential minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants which aid in pancreatic health. Additionally, kale contains very little fat; however, a large portion of the fat in it is the omega-3 fatty acid. #10 Spinach - is an excellent source of iron and vitamin B, which can help ward off inflammation of the pancreas. #11 Turmeric - possesses cancer-fighting properties which help prevent various types of cancers, including pancreatic cancer. The main reason is the compound curcumin, which is useful in identifying potential cancer cells and also helps in destructing these malignant cells without damaging healthy cells. #12 Carrots - are a great source of vitamin C and beta-carotene. Furthermore, carrots contain falcarinol, a natural compound which has been shown to be able to inhibit the development of pancreatic cancer. Tips Reduce as much as possible your intake of trans-fatty acids, usually found in commercially-baked goods such as crackers, cookies, donuts, and cakes. Moreover, avoid onion rings, French fries, margarine, and processed foods, since all these foods negatively affect the health of your pancreas. Thank you. Drinking Apple Cider Vinegar Before Bedtime Will Change Your Life For Good

04:45
Although Apple Cider Vinegar has an overpowering acidic taste, you don’t have to drink it straight to benefit from its amazing properties. Some of those properties include raw enzymes and the promotion of good bacteria in the digestive tract. In order to avoid the taste, some people will substitute Apple Cider Vinegar for regular vinegar when pickling their favorite vegetables, or pair it with olive oil to make a salad dressing with a little kick. However, by simply diluting Apple Cider Vinegar or adding it to tea before bedtime you can significantly improve several areas of your health. Consider a few ways that ACV helps if you take it before bedtime: 1. Halitosis You know that awful taste in your mouth that you wake up with in the morning? It’s probably due to too much bacteria in your mouth. Drinking one tablespoon with eight ounces of water and a slice of lemon before bed, will keep that bacteria at bay and let you wake up more refreshed. 2. Lower Blood Sugar Some people have difficulties sleeping because of a peak in their blood sugar level at night. It’s one of the leading causes of insomnia, and it also impedes the body from burning fat. Apple Cider Vinegar lowers blood sugar levels because it increases insulin sensitivity. If you aren’t already on blood sugar medicine, try taking two teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar right before bed each evening and see if you don’t have a more restful night. If you are taking prescription medication for diabetes, please speak with your doctor before using this natural remedy. 3. Hiccups This nice trick overrides nerves in your throat that are responsible for hiccups. If these nerves have to deal with powerful taste in Apple Cider Vinegar, hiccups become less of an issue. For this, you’ll need to drink one undiluted teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. 4. Sinus Relief If you’ve got a stopped up nose because it’s pollen season again, don’t forget about Apple Cider Vinegar. Rather than reaching for an over-the-counter decongestant, rely on the B vitamins to work with the potassium and magnesium in Apple Cider Vinegar, to loosen up your sinuses so you can breathe easier. 5. Drop Unwanted Pounds More and more people are incorporating Apple Cider Vinegar into their weight loss regimen. However, did you know that not getting a good night’s sleep is also associated with being overweight? Researchers now know that Apple Cider Vinegar inhibits the body when it tries to convert starches into calories. Not only that, but it also reduces your appetite. The pectin it contains actually makes you feel more satisfied, so when it’s time to go to bed and your hungry, sip a little Apple Cider Vinegar tea to feel satisfied and sleep better. 6. Reflux Remedy When your stomach is void of the necessary amount of acid, it tends to move around to do the job that the full amount would easily do. When that happens, some of the acid can sneak up the esophagus and burn your throat. Apple Cider Vinegar helps to replace that stomach acid and balance your intestinal tract. Try a tablespoon with a full glass of water about an hour before lying down. 7. Sore Throat Apple Cider Vinegar is a powerful anti-bacterial. Its acidity helps kill bacteria that live in the back of your throat. If you have a sore throat, in thirty minute intervals, take one teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. About an hour before bed, drink one teaspoon. After thirty minutes, drink another. Finally, drink the third just before bed. 8. Restless Legs If you have restless legs or are often plagued with leg cramps in the middle of the night, it’s probably a sign that you’re not getting enough potassium in your diet. By adding two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to eight ounces of water, you can quickly boost your potassium levels and avoid these annoying issues. 9. Upset Stomach Sometimes a simple remedy like Apple Cider Vinegar can settle an upset stomach. Again, by helping restore the pH level in the digestive tract, you can rid yourself of excess gas and even stomach cramping. Try a warm cup of water with one teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to calm an upset stomach. Le Vel Thrive side effects - What Happens When You Take Thrive

http://bit.ly/2gQXY67 - Le Vel Thrive Side Effects If you are interested in the products by Le vel you may want to know about the Le Vel Thrive side effects. Being both a user and independent promoter of Thirve I have spoken to a lot of people that have used the Le Vel products. Firstly though I have personally not had any Le Vel Thrive side effects what so ever, I have only experienced extremely positive effects from Thrive such as increased energy levels, increased focus, improved skin complexion and a general feeling of well-being. I always ask the people who I introduce if they have any Le Vel Thrive side effects and the only thing I have been told is a slight jittery feeling on the first day which may be caused by the natural caffeine in the products. It is important to remember that most of us do not get the nutrition we need for out bodies to function at their best so some people may experience effects of their body detoxing (which is a good thing) Apart from that I have not heard of any bad Le Vel Thrive side effects but would be interested to know of any experiences people have had. Fat Soluble Vitamin Deficiencies, Hemorrhagic Disease of the Newborn Vitamin D3 K A

07:38
http://www.stomponstep1.com/fat-soluble-vitamins-hemorrhagic-disease-of-the-newborn/ Vitamin A (Retinol, Retinal or Retinoic Acid) functions as a component of light reception pigment in the retina. Therefore, deficiencies affect vision and cause Night Blindness. Vitamin A also acts as a growth factor that causes the differentiation of cells. Therefore, vitamin A can be used to treat certain types of AML as it causes differentiation of immature leukemic cells. This effect of differentiation of Vitamin A also means deficiencies can affect the immune response. Vitamin A supplements for deficient patients can be an effective treatment for disease like Measles. Deficiencies can result from fat malabsorption or inadequate intake of foods high in vitamin A (Liver, fruits, & vegetables). Vitamin A is also a teratogen that can cause numerous problems for an unborn fetus. This makes sense as prenatal development is a period where cell differentiate needs to be highly orchestrated. Too much vitamin A could interrupt this delicate process due to its effects on cell differentiation. Vitamin A should not be used as a treatment for women who may be pregnant. Vitamin A toxicity can result in a wide array of non-specific symptoms like nausea, irritability, headaches, visual problems, and changes to skin or hair. Most other vitamin deficiencies or toxicities have a more specific classic presentation. Therefore, I usually just rule out the other answer choices and select Vitamin A toxicity if nothing else fits. Vitamin D [1,25-(OH)2D3] is synthesized in the body as a result of sun exposure or ingested as part of cow's milk (breast milk is actually low in vitamin D). The inactive precursor to Vitamin D undergoes enzymatic processing in the liver and the kidney to become 1,25-(OH)2D3. This active form of Vitamin D primarily increases the absorption of calcium and phosphate from the diet. Therefore, deficiencies of Vitamin D lead to decreased bone mineralization. Vitamin D deficiency in children leads to Rickets and in adults it leads to Osteomalacia. Vitamin K is responsible for the modification of numerous proteins required for coagulation. Therefore, deficiencies of Vitamin K lead to deficiencies of Coagulation Factors II, VII, IX & X as well as deficiencies in Protein C & S. This can lead to an increased PT, increased PTT, bruising (purpura, ecchymosis, perifollicular hemorrhages) and other problems related to clotting. Vitamin K is taken in through the diet & synthesized by normal gut flora. Both of these routes lead to an inactive form of Vitamin K that must be activated by liver Epoxide Reductase. Coumadin (AKA Warfarin) inhibits Epoxide Reductase to intentionally create a Vitamin K deficiency and inhibit clotting. Patients with liver failure may have difficulty activating their vitamin K also. Patients who are on wide spectrum antibiotics may have a deficiency if Vitamin K because antibiotics can kill off the normal gut flora which produce Vitamin K. Newborns also often have Vitamin K deficiency because they have not yet been colonized with the normal flora that create Vitamin K and breast milk is low in Vitamin K. This is referred to as Hemorrhagic disease of the Newborn and is why newborns are usually given a shot of Vitamin K soon after birth. Now that you are done with this video you should check out the next video in the Vitamins section which covers Folate & B12 Deficiency (http://www.stomponstep1.com/folate-b12-deficiency-megaloblastic-anemia-hypersegmented/)

Vitamin D Deficiency Symptoms || Vegan Nutrition Q&A

Vitamin D helps you absorb and use calcium properly, and the lack of both calcium and vitamin D will weaken the structure of your bones. Researchers are also starting to link vitamin D deficiency with all kinds of health problems and diseases. Then you can come up with a strategy for getting enough vitamin D, which might include getting some daily sunshine and taking a supplement. If you take a vitamin D supplement (which I think it a great idea, and I have a recommendation for you here: http://bit.ly/supplements-for-vegans), this is one vitamin that can build up in your body and cause issues if you take too much. 5 eating tips to ensure a healthy pregnancy

03:19
This information is adapted from the BabyCetner LLC website. For more information on this topic and many others click the following link to read more on their website. http://www.babycenter.com Here are 5 eating tips to ensure a healthy pregnancy. Number 1 - avoid dieting. Pregnancy is definitely not a time to diet, but as women, we get really scared when we step on the scale and we see the numbers climb, but that's okay. You need to gain the appropriate amount of weight during pregnancy. And if you're unsure about what that is, talk with your doctor. It's going to be based on your pre-pregnancy weight. Be sure that you're eating enough calories, and avoid dieting, because it will make you skip out on essential nutrients and vitamins that your body and your growing baby need. Iron and protein are very important, and oftentimes, those are skipped out on if you're dieting. During the 1st trimester, you don't actually need to eat extra calories, but this is the time when you're sick and not feeling very well. Really, you're just going to go into survival mode and probably eat whatever you feel like you can eat. But once you're in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, you need to be sure to eat 200 to 300 extra calories a day. And make sure that they count. It's not a good excuse to eat an extra doughnut. Make sure that you're eating whole grains, lots of fruits, veggies, lean protein, low-fat dairy, and healthy fats. Number 2 - avoid foods that could be contaminated by bacteria, and also avoid alcohol. There is no safe amount of alcohol during pregnancy, whether it be in the beginning or the end. So if you're trying to conceive, skip alcohol altogether, because it can lead to birth defects and developmental problems for the child later in life. Be sure to cook all of your food thoroughly. So this includes meats, and eggs, maybe skip that cookie dough for now while you're pregnant. And also think twice about food. Sushi is something that a pregnant woman should skip, because even if it has cooked fish in it, it may have been prepared along side of fish that was raw, and it can have bacteria and parasites in it that could make you sick. Also avoid unpasteurized juices and unpasteurized milk, as well as products made from unpasteurized milk, like soft cheeses, brie, camembert, and Mexican cheeses. Number 3 - take a prenatal vitamin, and talk with your doctor to find out if you need other supplements, like iron, calcium, or vitamin D. A prenatal vitamin is important because it has folic acid and other vitamins and nutrients that you and your growing baby need to make sure you're as healthy as possible. You should actually take a prenatal vitamin before trying to conceive, during pregnancy, and while you're nursing. Number 4 - eat smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. Maybe shoot for 6 small meals over the course of the day. And this will help as your stomach gets bigger, you can't eat much, you feel like you get fuller faster, and it will also help with heartburn because your stomach is getting squished, and if you eat more frequently throughout the day, that will help. If that doesn't help alone, talk with your doctor about medications that can help with nausea and heartburn. Number 5 - treat yourself to something sweet on occasion. You don't need to give up all of your favorite treats during pregnancy. It's okay to have a cookie or a piece of cake every now and then, but be sure to eat it in moderation. And if you do crave something sweet, have some fruits available on hand, because they're packed with nutrients and they're going to be good for you and your baby. If you have any other questions for me in the future, feel free to ask them on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/IntermountainMoms, and recommend us to your friends and family too.

Vitamin B12 Deficiency Symptoms || Vegan Nutrition Q&A

05:08
One nutrient that vegans in particular need to supplement is B12, although vegetarians and meat eaters may need to supplement as well. SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/1fNLSVx VEGAN NUTRITION Q&A playlist ▹ bit.ly/vegan-nutrition-tips-playlist VIT B12 SUPPLEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib6FqReK5pg Can you get B12 from dirt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQgIhQF8GgU Your body stores an extra supply of it, so it can take up to 2 years for any vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms to creep up on you. You risk permanent damage to your nervous system and brain if you let this one get too far though, so be on the lookout for those symptoms. Early Vitamin B12 Deficiency Symptoms: Unusual fatigue Faulty digestion No appetite Nausea Loss of menstruation Tingling hands and feet (start of serious deficiency) If you don't get levels back up from there, it can result in permanent nerve damage and get very serious, causing blindness or deafness. Also, homocysteine levels will be high (risk factor for heart disease, stroke and complications during pregnancy) long before any of the early vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms show up. If children don't get enough B12 during childhood, their levels can be corrected but the period where they didn't have enough can have permanent effects on their brain and nerve functions. Maintaining your own B12 levels while breastfeeding is crucial. You can be tested for B12 deficiency by your doctor, and the most accurate method of testing is a urine or blood test called a Methylmalonic Acid test (MMA). It can detect deficiency much earlier and much more accurately than the standard blood test most doctors use to test for serum cobalamin levels and pernicious anemia. If you're seeing vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms, or show low levels in a blood test, the obvious solution is to raise B12 levels. Depending on how low your levels are, go for any or all of the following: - supplements (my recommendations here: http://bit.ly/vit-B12) - fortified foods (nut/grain milks, cereals, certain nutritional yeasts) - B12 injections (done by a doctor, for severe deficiency or people who aren't absorbing B12 through digestion) Have you ever noticed any of these symptoms in yourself? Foods That May Kill You!

11:29
By simply opening your pantry, you would be shocked to realize how many items you own that could kill you. It’s true, poor preparation could mean that chicken is lethal, but these are foods we consume without putting too much thought into its preparation. Here are some foods you need to be extra cautious of. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr Watch our "Evidence That Aliens HAVE Visited Earth " video here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL227eb9FSI Watch our "CRAZY Ideas That Actually Worked!" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0n2wEAiOcg Watch our UNBELIEVABLE Items Found After Tsunamis !" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNNLwdBI7Gk 10 - The World Is Your Oyster It may not be something you eat all the time, but rather indulge in on the odd occasion, just always be aware of the risks involved when ordering your shellfish. Step number one is to ensure you’re not allergic to any form of shellfish, because blowing up like a puffer fish trying to impress your date by slurping down oysters is not going to go down well. Step number two, don’t just buy shellfish from anybody, trust your sources. Shellfish poisoning is terrible and happens when you eat shellfish contaminated with bacteria. This can include crabs, shrimp, oysters, clams and fish. 7-million Americans are allergic to shellfish. 9 - This Is Nuts Cashews, like our almonds we mentioned earlier, are also not healthier when they’re raw! Real raw cashews are crammed with a chemical called urushiol. Other foods which contain urushiol in small amounts are egg whites, mushrooms and potatoes. Just a few raw cashews can send you into an early grave. Rest assured, the raw cashews you purchase in the store have been treated thoroughly. Never try to grow your own cashews! 8 - Salt Attack Salami, ham, polony all have a rather bad reputation, and for very good reason. Deli meats are crammed with nitrates, sodium, preservatives, and additives which increase the risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and behavioural problems in children. If you need to buy cold meats try opting for lean, natural turkey and roast beef from your local butcher as opposed to the supermarket. 7 - Beans Feast We mentioned lima beans earlier on, which were dangerous enough, but nothing to lose sleep over. Kidney beans, on the other hand, are a different story. They are a key ingredient in chili, so you may think twice next time you’re enjoying yours. Kidney beans have very high levels of phytohemagglutinin, and if the beans are not boiled properly before eating, you could suffer with nausea, stomach ache and diarrhoea. People often make the mistake of cooking the beans in a slow-cooker, but the temperatures are too low to destroy the toxin, and this could make the beans even more toxic! 6 - Do Not Swallow The fruit of the apricot is just fine, but don’t eat them too quickly because ingesting a stone could be a huge problem. The pits contain amygdalin which breaks down into cyanide when absorbed in your system. 5 - Catch of The Day Tuna is consumed all around the world daily in large quantities, yet the risk of mercury poisoning is very real. Tuna is especially high in mercury which can have very serious side-effects. It can damage your major organs, cause high blood pressure, wreak havoc on your nervous system and more. Younger children are at a higher risk than adults and should not eat tuna every day. Mercury is not a natural element of tuna and is the direct result of our pollution in our oceans. 4 - A Bad Egg Pregnant women are advised to steer away from eggs unless they’re fully cooked – so no sunny-side up eggs at all. Even if you’re not pregnant, eating an undercooked egg can bring on salmonella. Ensure that when you prepare your eggs that the white is cooked all the way through. 3 - Spice It Up Nutmeg was once the cause of a couple collapsing and needing hospitalization in 1986. The couple had allegedly prepared pasta and added one-third of a 30-gram spice jar of nutmeg to the dish. How they managed to eat the dish still astounds me, but they poisoned themselves in the process. Ingesting over 4 teaspoons of nutmeg can bring on fevers, chills, blurred vision, paranoia and death. 2 - In the red Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamins A and C but eating too many of them could bring on serious heartburn. They’re high in acid and anyone struggling with gastroesophageal reflux disease will really feel the effects. Their leaves and stems are also full of glycoalkaloid which can cause gastrointestinal irritation. Fortunately, the chances of you losing your life to this is minimal, but it’s just something to remember for the future. 1...
