The field of guided surgery is moving at a rapid pace. Advancements have now made it possible for doctors to have an entirely digital workflow using just a cbct and an affordable 3d printer. We can now scan a patient in the morning, treatment plan the case, and have a guide ready for surgery by the afternoon and do it all in house. Furthermore, we can even have implant supported restorations ready to deliver at the time of surgery, whether it's full arch hybrids or single tooth crowns. This can dramatically reduce the number of appointments and the overall treatment time. The future has arrived. Dr. Glenn graduated from University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he went on to complete the Lutheran Medical Center’s advanced education in general dentistry residency at the UT Memphis branch. He is a graduate of the Georgia Maxi Course in Implant Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society’s Comprehensive Ortho Program, and is an Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is the current Chairman of Continuing Education for both the TN AGD and the Middle TN Dental Study Club and serves as on the teaching faculty for CADRAY Dental Implant Continuum. Dr. Glenn operates a private practice in Winchester, TN where he performs all disciplines of dentistry with a particular focus on utilizing technology and innovative techniques to provide treatment in an efficient and cost effective manner while still maintaining the highest level of quality. He has spoken on numerous occasions on the topics of CAD/CAM, conebeam technology, dental implants, dental photography, digital smile design, complete dentures, and complex full mouth rehabilitation.

Script for Special Education Milestones: As a Special Education major, you will have program milestones that may vary from your fellow students in other majors. A good general rule of thumb is to not take advice about milestones from anyone other than your advisor in the program or instructors in courses that support successful completion of the milestones. This can save you much confusion and possibly unnecessary time and expense. Upon admission to Professional Education you have completed any necessary testing requirements for admission (for example, you earned high enough scores on the ACT or passed the three sections of the CORE). Once admitted, you will have additional requirements at various points in the program. Your advisor will walk you through these and help you plan when to take subsequent tests. Always ask your advisor if you have a question about milestones. The first testing milestone post-Professional Education admission is the Praxis II. This is the Middle School Content Knowledge (test number 5146). Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction currently requires Special Education majors to pass this test rather than one specific to Special Education. The rationale behind this is that Wisconsin’s schools are largely inclusive of students with special needs, meaning they are educated along their same-age peers without identified special needs. Thus, any staff supporting students in inclusive classrooms should have a basic understanding of middle school content. Following the Praxis II is the Wisconsin Foundation of Reading exam (WIFOR). This test is specific to being able to support and teach all students basic reading skills. In Special Education there are two courses that prepare students for the WIFOR. They are SPECED 486, Academic Interventions I, and SPECED 487, Academic Interventions II. Students are typically advised to have completed at least SPECED 486 before attempting the WIFOR. It is preferable to have completed both SPECED 486 and 487 if your program plan is arranged to allow you time to take and pass the exam in time for student teaching placement. If timing is a concern, please consult with your advisor about the best course of action. The final milestone, in addition to student teaching (i.e., directed teaching or internship) is the edTPA. (Teacher Performance Assessment). This milestone is completed during the student teaching semester and is fully supported in SPECED 480, Student Teaching Seminar. It is especially important for Special Education majors to only ask questions about the edTPA and take advice about the edTPA from their Student Teaching Seminar instructor. Special Education has a completely different handbook than do other teacher education programs in the college.

This lecture "Black Buddhist and Dr. Ambedkar take on Japanese Racism by "Amp" is a Buddhist lecture by Anthony "Amp" Elmore who lives in Memphis, Tennessee. Elmore is a community activist and he began practicing Buddhism while in high school in Memphis in 1970. In 1974 Elmore became a Nichiren Buddhist via joining a Japanese Buddhist sect called NSA or Nichiren Shoshu of America. Elmore tagged this lecture as one of his most significant and important Buddhist lectures. While Elmore challenges Japanese racism in this lecture, Elmore notes that this lecture is perhaps his most important is because this lecture is the most comprehensive document ever produced noting the connection and relationship between the Dalit iconic India hero Bhimrao Ambedkar and the Black community in America. Dr. Ambedkar attended Columbia College in New York form 1913 to 1916 only about 50 years since slavery formally ended in America. After slavery ended in America there existed harsh "Jim Crow laws" that was almost tantamount to the cast system in India. While Dr. Ambedkar could go to Columbia College in America in 1916 when Ambedkar attended college in America Blacks were not allowed on the campus. Certainly such discrimination and racism must have affected Dr. Ambedkar. There is little or no information in the public that documents Dr. Ambedkar's relationship to the plight of Blacks in America. Dr. Martin Luther King preached "injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere." Certainly a man with the spirit and heart of an Ambedkar must have joined the fight against injustice of Blacks in America as well as injustice of Blacks or Dalits in India. Anthony "Amp" Elmore in this video shows that Dr. Ambedkar had more than just a casual relationship with Blacks in America but Elmore notes that Dr. Ambedkar was just as passionate about discrimination in America as discrimination in India. Elmore notes that Dr. Ambedkar considered the struggle of Blacks in America the same struggle as with the Dalits in India. Elmore in posting this video shows conclusive evident that Dr. Ambedkar in his 1946 letter to Black leader W.E.B. Du Bois makes it clear that he was not only a student of the Black movement in America but the struggle of Dalits in India and Blacks in America was the same struggle. In regards to Japanese Racism Elmore notes that the Nichiren Buddhist sects; The SGI, Nichiren Shoshu and Nichiren Shu have adopted Hindu or Brahman ideas in their extricating Black history and Culture from their Buddhist teachings. Dalits call themselves "Aidi Buddhist or the original indigenous people of India. Elmore notes history and science that proves the "indigenous people of India were Black. Moreover the original Buddhist were Black. In regards to the cast system Dr. Ambedkar studied cast and he was an anthropologist and sociologist regarding the social system in India. Elmore notes that his resource and understanding of India's social system comes documented from the works of Dr. Ambedkar. Ambedkar's resources and background knowledge is direct contradiction to the Japanese sects whereas Elmore proves their resources are in error and are Brahman teachings that has been debated in India by Dr. Ambedkar. Elmore notes it is not Anthony "Amp" Elmore challenging the Japanese Nichiren Buddhist sects but it is "India's greatest hero" Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar who is taking own the Japanese Nichiren sects. Elmore notes that their effort to extricate Black history from Buddhist is the revisionist history of the Brahmans that Dr. Ambedkar debated. Elmore has taken Buddhism as a life mission and understand that his mission is to bring the Dalits together with Black Americans to fight for equality and against our world's injustices. Elmore calls those who fight against "Social Injustice" the "Bodhisattvas or the earth" who are described in the 15th Chapter of the Lotus Sutra preached by Shakyamuni Buddha. Elmore use this video to show the Dalits in India that their connection in America is fellow Buddhist Anthony "Amp" Elmore who lives in Memphis, Tennessee. Elmore notes that it is Memphis, Tennessee where Dr. Martin Luther King fell. Elmore notes the way to honor both Dr. Martin Luther King and Dr. Ambedkar is for the Dalits and Blacks to join together as family. Memphis, Tennessee is the place where we connect notes Elmore. Dr. Cory Glenn completed his B.S. in Biology with a minor in chemistry from Arkansas State University and attended dental school in Memphis at the University Of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. Upon graduation Dr. Glenn was chosen to do the advanced education in general dentistry residency associated with Lutheran Medical Center. As a continual student of dentistry, he completed the year long AOS Comprehensive Orthodontic Continuum, the yearlong AAID Georgia Maxi Course, and has been credentialed as an associate fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Glenn has served as the Continuing Education Director for the TN Academy of General Dentistry and as President and CE director for the Middle TN Dental Study Club. Dr. Glenn’s areas of interest are dental implants, guided surgery, digital dentistry, photography, and complex full mouth rehabilitation. Since 2009, he has owned and operated a solo practice in Winchester, TN. Dr. Cory Glenn traveled and taught extensively on a variety of dental topics but particularly on guided surgery using the Blue Sky Bio software. For the first half of his career he did not have CBCT and did not embrace guided surgery, mainly due to the cost. The BSB software changed all that and has led him to become what he calls a "recovering freehander". Dr. Glenn is now a huge advocate for guided surgery and do most of my implant surgeries fully guided and at a cost of $20 per case. When not doing dentistry, traveling, or teaching, you will find him enjoying the outdoors with his wife and daughters. Dr. Glenn’s recent battle with APL leukemia has sharpened his focus on what's most important in life: faith, family, and helping others. His professional goal moving forward is to bring digital dentistry to the masses by making it easier and more affordable and his hope with Blue Sky Bio Academy is that we can educate and inspire doctors as we lead the charge through the new frontier of digital dentistry. http://www.blueskybio.academy/ https://www.maxxeusdental.com/biologics https://www.osteogenics.com/v/product-group/TXT-200-TXT-200-Singles/va/ https://www.osteogenics.com/v/product-group/Non-resorbable-PTFE-Monofilament-Suture/ve/ http://www.woodlandhillspharmacy.com

Join National Park Ranger Matt Atkinson as he explores the controversial Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest. Forrest entered the service as a private and surrendered as a Lieutenant General. Along the way, this uneducated backwoods fellow learned the art of war, culminating in the year 1864 with the controversey at Fort Pillow, his greatest victory at Brice's Crossroads, and an all-out effort by General William T. Sherman to thwart "that devil Forrest."

Noticed that the non-live version of this song wasn't on youtube.. Lyrics: I pulled into Nazareth, was feelin' about half past dead I just need some place where I can lay my head "Hey, mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?" He just grinned and shook my hand, "no" was all he said Take a load off, Fanny Take a load for free Take a load off, Fanny And (and) (and) you put the load right on me (You put the load right on me) I picked up my bag, I went lookin' for a place to hide When I saw Carmen and the Devil walkin' side by side I said, "Hey, Carmen, come on let's go downtown" She said, "I gotta go but my friend can stick around" Take a load off, Fanny Take a load for free Take a load off, Fanny And (and) (and) you put the load right on me (You put the load right on me) Go down, Miss Moses, there's nothin' you can say It's just ol' Luke and Luke's waitin' on the Judgment Day "Well, Luke, my friend, what about young Anna Lee?" He said, "Do me a favor, son, won't you stay and keep Anna Lee company?" Take a load off, Fanny Take a load for free Take a load off, Fanny And (and) (and) you put the load right on me (You put the load right on me) Crazy Chester followed me and he caught me in the fog He said, "I will fix your rack if you'll take Jack, my dog" I said, "Wait a minute, Chester, you know I'm a peaceful man" He said, "That's okay, boy, won't you feed him when you can" Yeah, take a load off, Fanny Take a load for free Take a load off, Fanny And (and) (and) you put the load right on me (You put the load right on me) Catch a cannon ball now to take me down the line My bag is sinkin' low and I do believe it's time To get back to Miss Fanny, you know she's the only one Who sent me here with her regards for everyone Take a load off, Fanny Take a load for free Take a load off, Fanny And (and) (and) you put the load right on me (You put the load right on me)

ISR Distinguished Speaker Judith Bishop Director of Computer Science Microsoft Research Connections "Open Source Software and Industry: Exploring the Reality" Friday, February 5, 2016 Faculty Host: Walt Scacchi ABSTRACT: Open Source Software (OSS) is a movement that the IT industry has subscribed to with great success over many years. The benefits for an IT company are both tangible and intangible. Adopting code that is already a standard is the easy part. Contributing to and initiating new software requires sustained commitment and upfront scrutiny of the return on investment. After relinquishing financial income from sales, the intangible benefit has to be maximized – making the company look good and drawing in top talent. Both of these are a challenge. On the technical side, major software companies experience an added level of complexity in OSS involvement in that the software might not match the platforms they build. Virtual machines and browsers can come to the rescue, with varying degrees of efficiency loss. Finally, for some disciplines such as accountancy and auto manufacture, OSS is regarded as far too risky to contemplate. In this talk we shall survey this landscape, present statistics and examples, explore the challenges, and make some predictions as to where the most exciting industry OSS developments will launch in the future. ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Judith Bishop is Director of Computer Science in Microsoft Research Connections, based in Redmond, USA. Her research expertise is in programming languages and distributed systems, with a strong practical bias and interest in compilers and design patterns. She has 100 research publications and has written or edited 15 books on programming languages that are available in six languages and read worldwide. She has presented many keynotes and tutorials and serves frequently on international editorial, programme committees, review boards, and award panels. She joins a team of research managers in her role to create strong links between Microsoft’s research groups and universities globally, through encouraging projects, supporting conferences and engaging directly in research. Her goal and passion is to clearly demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of open technologies to computer science research and teaching today. After completing her degrees at Rhodes and Natal in South Africa, Judith received her PhD from the University of Southampton, UK, on the relationship of languages to computer architecture. Then followed a distinguished career in academia, most recently as a professor at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She has had visiting professor positions in the UK, Germany, Canada, Italy and the USA. In 2014, Judith was elected an ACM Distinguished Educator. She has received numerous other awards including the IFIP Outstanding Service Award in 2009 and the IFIP Silver Core Award 2006 for service to the worldwide computer science community, the Computer Society Fellowship Award in 2008, the South African DTI Award for Distinguished Woman Scientist of the Year for Innovation 2005, and the Rhodes University Distinguished Alumna Award in 2011. She is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and the Royal Society of South Africa.

https://youtu.be/_85q47nBAvM In Graham Swift’s novel Waterland his narrator, a history teacher going through a mid-life crisis, says: “And where history does not undermine and set traps for itself in such an openly perverse way, it creates this insidious longing to revert. It begets this bastard but pampered child, Nostalgia. How we yearn to return to that time before history claimed us, before things went wrong.”At some point analysis of decline becomes an ordeal, particularly when the causative factors seem numerous and varied and not independent of one another.Nostalgia lends itself to convenient explanations of why things are not as good as they were, which may overshadow the fact it is perhaps more important that one looks back to move forward and not vice versa.Dutch football has seen four talented generations of players, right from Cruyff and Van Hanegem’s cohort in the 70s, Gullit, Rijkaard, Van Basten and Koeman in the 80s, Bergkamp’s batch in the 90s and the 1983-84-born class of the 00s led by Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder. In the wake of failing to qualify for next year’s World Cup finals in Russia Dutch footballers are now criticised for a lack of “winning mentality”.Marcel Brands of PSV, in a discussion in 2014 with his fellow technical directors of the so-called big three, Marc Overmars of Ajax and Feyenoord’s Martin van Geel, remarked: “We develop many intelligent, tactically strong players. We just need to improve substantially in the winning factor. I went to Portugal recently: Sporting, Benfica and Porto. There it is completely different. There it is all about winning. With us, it’s the exact opposite: ‘80% possession, played well, yes but we lose 1-0.’“That’s not how it should be. If you look at Germany, they have taken a step. There was always physical football, a lot of running. Now, there is a lot more [technical] football than 10 years ago. They also observed us [the Dutch] a lot.”Tellingly, nearly all of the successful recent exports from the Eredivisie have been players who were scouted between the ages of 16 and 19 – Uruguay’s Luis Suárez, Denmark’s Christian Eriksen and Belgium’s Toby Alderweireld found the Netherlands a prime location to hone their talent, having developed initially elsewhere. But even if the current Holland side lacked extraordinary talents, there was sufficient quality for them at least to make the qualification play-offs.That suggests there are deeper structural problems with the national team. It is clearly more complicated than just Memphis Depay’s preference for wearing hats.In 2014 all the big three’s technical directors agreed that the KNVB, the Dutch FA, needed a strong technical director.Jelle Goes had functioned as “technical manager” since 2013 and played a big role in drafting the Winnaars van Morgen, “Winners of Tomorrow”, plan for reviving Dutch football; and, when Hans van Breukelen was made technical director in 2016, Goes’ focus shifted to youth. However, this summer both Goes and Van Breukelen left their roles, with the latter resigning, having made a mess of the national coach situation after Danny Blind’s departure and saying he had not been able to make “his – and the KNVB’s — ambitions come true”.The KNVB’s lack of a clear long-term vision seemed evident as they let Hakim Ziyech slip through their fingers. The 24-year-old, who played for Dutch youth teams up to the under-21s and was the outstanding Dutch midfielder of his generation, was injured on his first call-up in May 2015 and could not play, but then seemed to be overlooked. He then elected to represent Morocco, making his debut in October 2015. In March 2016 Blind was asked why there had not been more of an effort to tie down Ziyech. The then Holland manager responded with the specious excuse that Ziyech was not playing as a “true No10” at Twente at the time but as more of a second striker.Immediately his then-assistant coach, Marco van Basten, sitting at the back of the room, turned to the reporter who had suggested the KNVB had failed in this regard and said: “Why? He has gone with the choice with his heart? Then, in my opinion, you should ask him.”In May 2016 Van Basten called Ziyech and the St-Etienne winger Oussama Tannane “stupid boys” for not having the patience to wait for their chance: “How stupid can you be to choose Morocco if you are in contention for the Dutch national team?”This, beyond the disrespect, suggests some delusions of grandeur and superiority persist despite Holland’s shortcomings on the pitch.Nearly tw

Born and raised in the Mountain West, David Alan Clark produced his first commissioned sculpture while still in his teens. After college, he left fine arts for about a dozen years while he worked in advertising and got his family started, then moved everyone back home to Wyoming to pursue sculpture full time. Wyoming Chronicle visits with the artist in his Lander studio as he created "Fight On", the capstone statue of the new renovation of Kelly Walsh High School.
