If you cant follow any particular diet / tired of those boring diet plan and /or you have tried everything for losing weight and nothing is working..Then this is for you.... Best Way To lose extra fat from body: Intermittent Fasting. For most people, the word fasting brings up the notion of prolonged periods without food or maybe even drink. Some people fast periodically for religious reasons or medical necessity (say, before a procedure). But a new type of diet has people fasting to lose weight, improve health, live longer (and healthier), boost mental clarity, and more. How Intermittent Fasting Affects Your Hormones Body fat is the body's way of storing energy (calories). When we don't eat anything, the body changes several things to make the stored energy more accessible. Here are some of the things that change in your metabolism when you fast: Insulin: Insulin increases when we eat. When we fast, insulin decreases dramatically (4). Lower levels of insulin facilitate fat burning. Human growth hormone (HGH): Levels of growth hormone may skyrocket during a fast, increasing as much as 5-fold (5, 6). Growth hormone is a hormone that can aid fat loss and muscle gain, among other things (7, 8, 9). Norepinephrine (noradrenaline): The nervous system sends norepinephrine to the fat cells, making them break down body fat into free fatty acids that can be burned for energy (10, 11). Interestingly, despite what the 5-6 meals a day proponents would have you believe, short-term fasting may actually increase fat burning. BOTTOM LINE: Short-term fasting leads to several changes in the body that make fat burning easier. This includes reduced insulin, increased growth hormone, enhanced epinephrine signalling and a small boost in metabolism. Intermittent Fasting Helps You Reduce Calories and Lose Weight The main reason that intermittent fasting works for weight loss, is that it helps you eat fewer calories. All that being said, the benefits of intermittent fasting go way beyond just weight loss. It also has numerous benefits for metabolic health, and may even help prevent chronic disease and expand lifespan (15, 16). BOTTOM LINE: Intermittent fasting is a convenient way to restrict calories without consciously trying to eat less. Many studies show that it can help you lose weight and belly fat. Intermittent Fasting May Help You Hold on to Muscle When Dieting One of the worst side effects of dieting, is that the body tends to burn muscle as well as fat (17). In my opinion, one of the main benefits of intermittent fasting is the simplicity of it. I personally do the 16/8 method, where I only eat during a certain "feeding window" each day. Instead of eating 3+ meals per day, I eat only 2, which makes it a lot easier and simpler to maintain my healthy lifestyle. The single best "diet" for you is the one you can stick to in the long run. If intermittent fasting makes it easier for you to stick to a healthy diet, then this has obvious benefits for long-term health and weight maintenance. How to Succeed With an Intermittent Fasting Protocol Food quality: The foods you eat are still important. Try to eat mostly whole, single ingredient foods. Calories: Calories still count. Try to eat "normally" during the non-fasting periods, not so much that you compensate for the calories you missed by fasting. Consistency: Same as with any other weight loss method, you need to stick with it for an extended period of time if you want it to work. Patience: It can take your body some time to adapt to an intermittent fasting protocol. Try to be consistent with your meal schedule and it will get easier. Most of the popular intermittent fasting protocols also recommend strength training. This is very important if you want to burn mostly body fat while holding on to muscle. In the beginning, calorie counting is generally not required with intermittent fasting. However, if your weight loss stalls then calorie counting can be a useful tool. BOTTOM LINE: With intermittent fasting, you still need to eat healthy and maintain a calorie deficit if you want to lose weight. Being consistent is absolutely crucial, and strength training is important. At the end of the day, intermittent fasting is a very useful tool to lose weight. WHO SHOULDN’T TRY INTERMITTENT FASTING? Do not attempt fasting if you’ve had an eating disorder or signs of disordered eating, which include (but aren’t limited to) binge eating, food obsession, misuse of laxatives and extreme food restriction. If you’re pregnant or breast feeding, you should not attempt intermittent fasting. Anyone being treated for diabetes (with medications) as well as anyone with cancer and those with a compromised immune system should also avoid intermittent fasting (or speak to their doctor before trying it).

Is Your Diet Causing Your Hair Loss? A lot of you have asked me about hair loss or hair thinning. First, you should always talk to a dermatologist to see if there’s a medical reason for hair loss. However, if you’ve noted hair loss specifically within a 1-2 year time frame of trying to lose weight, it could be related. Some Weight Loss Diets Can Lead to Hair Loss Hair loss and hair thinning can occur when you don’t get enough proteins, minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids. So if you’re on a weight loss diet where you’re restricting healthy foods, it could lead you to have hair loss or hair thinning. This could include a lot of different diets such as ketogenic, no or low carb diets, calorie restriction diets, and intermittent fasting diets among many others. Basically, any diet plan that has you cutting back on fruits, vegetables, healthy proteins or healthy grains. Is This Really True? The studies I could find about this are limited, but if you’re really desperate about your hair loss, it’s worth considering. According to the studies I could find for healthy hair your diet should contain protein, healthy low glycemic index carbohydrates, vitamins (including vitamin C, B group, and A), and minerals (including zinc, iron, copper, selenium, silicate, magnesium and calcium). Before you run to GNC or Amazon and buy all these supplements, consider that the supplements may not work. As they note in this dermatology journal article trying supplements for vitamin, mineral, or protein deficiencies doesn’t seem to be effective for hair loss reversal and in some people even made their hair loss worse. What Can You Do About It? If your hair loss is concerning to you it may be worth trying to change your diet. Obviously, the most effective thing to do would be to add back in whatever food you took out of your diet to lose weight. This does not mean add back cupcakes and cookies, it means add back the healthy food you took out. However, it’s possible this could cause you to gain the weight you lost. You have to decide if the hair loss is concerning enough to you to take this risk. This is how you could try to add back in some of the healthy food you took out while trying to minimize the related weight gain: Try adding back the food you took out slowly, for example, one serving once a day. If you’re on a diet that restricts the amount of food you’re eating (fasting or calorie restriction) try adding back low saturated fat protein first, for example, almonds, walnuts, and soy nuts. If you think protein is not the problem, then add back one serving of raw vegetables. If you’re on a ketogenic or low/no carb diet, then try adding back fruits and carbs that are lower glycemic index. Don’t forget about cheat meals as I mentioned in the guide you got when you signed up for the If We Were Family email list. This will help you stay in a cycle of losing weight and keep your weight loss from plateauing. How Long Does It Take For Your Hair to Grow Back? Let’s say you start eating the healthy foods you took out of your diet, you might be wondering how soon your hair will start growing back. This depends on your hair and your hair follicle cycles. It could be anywhere from a few months to a few years. It’s very person to person dependent so be patient if your hair is important to you. Cancer is an abnormal growth of cells. There are more than 100 types of cancer, including breast cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and lymphoma. Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss and a change in bowel movements. Many cancers can be prevented by not smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, not drinking too much alcohol, eating plenty of vegetables, fruits and whole grains, not eating too much processed and red meat, and by avoiding many cancer causing foods that we have listed below. Microwave popcorn bags are lined with perfluorooctanoic acid, a compound that has been linked to various types of cancer, including liver, testicular and pancreatic cancer. Canned foods allow you to enjoy your favorite vegetables throughout the year. However, if you are concerned about your health, avoid canned food, especially canned tomatoes. The cans used to pack tomatoes and other foods are lined with a product called bisphenol A, BPA, an endocrine disruptor that may mimic or disrupt hormones and increase the risks for breast cancer, prostate cancer, early puberty, metabolic disorders, infertility, and several other problems. Farmed salmon is nowhere near as healthy as wild salmon, and eating farmed salmon puts you at a higher risk of developing cancer. Farm-raised fish are fed unnatural diets and contaminated with chemicals, antibiotics, pesticides and other known carcinogens found in materials like asbestos. Hydrogenated oils are vegetable oils, which cannot be naturally extracted like olive oil, soy or canola oil, they are chemically extracted from vegetables and is again chemically treated to change the smell and taste. This process turns unsaturated fat into a stable solid fat, resulting in trans fatty hydrogenated oil which is considered to be the worst type of fat and is known to cause cancer, heart disease, and immune system problems. Potato chips are deep-fried in temperatures above 120 degrees Celsius, which causes them to create a material called acrylamide, a well-known carcinogen found in cigarettes. Genetically modified foods (GMOs) are a rapidly growing industry and have made their way into the majority of our foods like corn, potatoes, grains and soybeans. Such food products are grown using harmful chemicals and, when consumed, can lead to immune system, brain and liver damage. Refined sugar, artificial sweeteners and fructose-rich sweeteners like high-fructose corn syrup are not good for your health. These products tend to rapidly spike insulin levels and feed the growth of cancer cells. Refined White flour contains excess carbohydrates that are not good for your health and even increase the risk of cancer. During the milling process, white flour is bleached with chlorine gas, which is highly toxic for the body. Processed meats such as ham, sausage and bacon have chemicals and preservatives like sodium nitrates, which make them bad for your health. In addition, processed meat contains excessive salt, which is also not good for you. Pickled and smoked foods are delicious but, at the same time, very harmful to the body. In fact, smoked meats that pick up tar from the smoking process cause extreme harm to your body. Plus, most pickled foods contain nitrates that turn into N-nitroso, which increases your risk of cancer.
