Getting an erection is really a complicated process. Anatomy of an Erection In the shaft of the penis there are two side-by-side chambers of spongy tissue called the corpora cavernosa. They're mainly responsible for erections. Just below them is another chamber called the corpus spongiosum. The urethra, which carries semen and urine, runs through the center of it. The corpora cavernosa are made of small arteries and veins, smooth muscle fiber, and empty spaces. The chambers are wrapped in a sheath of thin tissue. When you get an erection, signals from the brain or nerve endings in the penis cause the smooth muscle of the chambers to relax and arteries to dilate, or open wider. This allows a rush of blood to fill the empty spaces. The pressure of blood flow causes the sheath of tissue around the chambers to press on veins that normally drain blood out of the penis. That traps blood in the penis. As more blood flows in, the penis expands and stiffens, and you have an erection. When the excitement ends, the smooth muscle contracts again, taking pressure off the veins and allowing blood to flow back out of the penis. Then the penis returns to a flaccid state. High Blood Pressure and Other Causes of Erectile Dysfunction High blood pressure is a major cause of erection problems. A study in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society found that about 49% of men ages 40 to 79 with high blood pressure had erectile dysfunction. Another study of men with high blood pressure, published in the Journal of Urology, found that 68% of them had some degree of erectile dysfunction. For 45% of the men, it was considered severe. And the basic definition of premature ejaculation is when a guy ejaculates either before or shortly after sexual penetration or anything sexual (hand or oral). And the main issue is that there’s minimal sexual stimulation and thus, the end result is dissatisfaction by BOTH partners. Basically, you “came” way too early. Most guys don’t feel “manly” because of this. They feel they have no control over it. They’re embarrassed and ashamed and at the same time, very worried that their partner is just going to NOT have sex with them again... and will go find someone who can “last longer” and isn’t called a “minute man”. By the way, this “problem” affects guys of all ages, but typically younger guys. And the cause is BOTH physical and psychological and I’ll address both and give you PROVEN solutions, including a surprise “fix” that I discovered by accident a few years ago… and I’ll tell you about that in minute, near the end of this video. So let’s get started with the 5 proven solutions: 1. Practice Practice trying to last longer. Assuming you masturbate, as you bring yourself close to an orgasim, STOP… And tightly pinch the head of your penis for a few seconds and that’ll usually send a signal to your penis to pause and stop the ejaculation. It’ll reverse the blood flow. If you’re thinking “how many seconds to I pinch”, it depends on the person. But at least 5-10 seconds… The goal here it so stop and reverse the blood flow. 2. Non Sexual Thoughts Next thing you can do when you’re getting close to an orgasim, is to think about something else… non-sexual thoughts. Think about cars, playing sports, work, cooking or my favorite - your parents! Hehe… this will typically kill the mood for anyone. Remember, your brain is the most powerful sexual organ in the body. Stop focusing on the pleasure and almost detach yourself from the situation. Again, just long enough to tell your penis to STOP getting so excited. You don’t want to go overboard or else you may go limp. Again, as you’re getting close to an orgasm, stop focusing on how good it feels and start thinking about non-sexual thoughts. 3. Focus On Your Partner Speaking of thinking about something else - I want you to focus on your partner. Your only goal should be to pleasure her…. Kiss her, touch and massage her… play with her breasts and nipples… and really get her “warmed up”. Then, focus on giving her an orgasm … but withOUT your penis. Give her oral sex and use your tongue. Don’t forget your fingers, use them as well. … I can go on and on about this topic and maybe I will in a future video, if see a lot of questions about it. One way to describe how to do it is, by contracting your anus muscle, as if you’re trying to hold in gas. Go ahead and give it a try now... Another way to do it is stop peeing midway through. Thus, as you’re peeing, “contract the muscle” that will STOP the pee, midway through. That’s it - that’s a kegel exercise. Super simple, but extremely effective. You can literally do it anywhere, anytime and nobody would know. Sets & Reps You should do kegel’s about 3x a week to start with. Over time, slowly build up to 5x weekly. Just don’t do it every single day because like any muscle, it requires rest to gain strength. Contract the muscle (holding in gas or stop peeing) and hold for 3-5 seconds. Relax for 1-2 seconds. That’s ONE repetition Do this 10 of these, for 10 repetitions. That’s ONE set Do one set of 10 repetitions, 3x weekly. Then maybe the next week do 2 sets of 10 reps and work up to 3 sets of 10 reps, 3x weekly. You can do it all at once, or break it up 2-3x daily. Nothing it set in stone. What matters is consistency, persistence and patience. This affects your entire body - from head to your two, inside and out. Remember, your blood contains oxygen, youthful hormones and nutrients to feed all of your cells. We certainly know that a lack of sleep will actually prevent your brain from being able to initially make new memories, so it's almost as though without sleep the memory inbox of the brain shuts down and you can't commit new experiences to memory. So those new incoming informational emails are just bounced, and you end up feeling as though you're amnesiac. You can't essentially make and create those new memories. We also know that a lack of sleep will lead to an increased development of a toxic protein in the brain that is called beta amyloid and that is associated with Alzheimer's disease because it is during deep sleep at night when a sewage system within the brain actually kicks in to high gear and it starts to wash away this toxic protein, beta amyloid. So if you're not getting enough sleep each and every night, more of that Alzheimer's-related protein will build up. The more protein that builds up, the greater your risk of going on to develop dementia in later life. What are the effects of sleep deprivation on the body? Well, there are many different effects. Firstly, we know that sleep deprivation affects the reproductive system. We know that men who are sleeping just five to six hours a night have a level of testosterone which is that of someone ten years their senior. So a lack of sleep will age you by almost a decade in terms of that aspect of virility and wellness. We also know that a lack of sleep impacts your immune system. So after just one night of four to five hours of sleep, there is a 70% reduction in critical anticancer-fighting immune cells called natural killer cells. And that's the reason that we know that short sleep duration predicts your risk for developing numerous forms of cancer. And that list currently includes cancer of the bowel, cancer of the prostate, as well as cancer of the breast. In fact, the link between a lack of sleep and cancer is now so strong that recently the World Health Organization decided to classify any form of nighttime shift work as a probable carcinogen. So in other words, jobs that may induce cancer because of a disruption of your sleep rate rhythms. We also know that a lack of sleep impacts your cardiovascular system because it is during deep sleep at night that you receive this most wonderful form of effectively blood pressure medication. Your heart rate drops, your blood pressure goes down. If you're not getting sufficient sleep, you're not getting that reboot of the cardiovascular system, so your blood pressure rises. You have, if you're getting six hours of sleep or less, a 200% increased risk of having a fatal heart attack or stroke in your lifetime. There is a global experiment that is performed on 1.6 billion people twice a year and it's called daylight saving time. And we know that in the spring, when we lose one hour of sleep, we see a subsequent 24% increase in heart attacks the following day. Another question, perhaps, is what is the recycle rate of a human being? How long can we actually last without sleep before we start to see declines in your brain function or even impairments within your body? And the answer seems to be about 16 hours of wakefulness. Once you get past 16 hours of being awake, that's when we start to see mental deterioration and physiological deterioration in the body. We know that after you've been awake for 19 or 20 hours, your mental capacity is so impaired that you would be as deficient as someone who was legally drunk behind the wheel of a car. So if you were to ask me what is the recycle rate of a human being, it does seem to be about 16 hours and we need about eight hours of sleep to repair the damage of wakefulness. Wakefulness essentially is low-level brain damage.

Alyaa Gad -Dyspareunia What is dyspareunia? Dyspareunia is the medical term for ‘painful intercourse’. ‘Dys’ means bad or difficult Pareunia: ‘Par’ + ‘unia’ = pairing or sexual union, so, sexual intercourse. It is a general term used to describe all types of sexual pain. Sexual pain can occur during or after the sexual intercourse. It can exist anywhere in the genital area – the clitoris, labia, vagina, or the lower abdomen. If you experience painful intercourse, you may feel: - Pain only at sexual penetration (entry) - Pain with every penetration, even while putting in a tampon - New pain after previously pain-free intercourse - Deep pain during thrusting - Burning pain or aching pain - Throbbing pain, lasting hours after intercourse Physical causes of painful intercourse differ, depending on whether the pain occurs at entry or with deep thrusting. Emotional factors can be associated with many types of painful intercourse. Entry pain: Pain during penetration may be due to: - Insufficient lubrication. Mainly as a result of not enough foreplay, after menopause or childbirth or during breast-feeding. - Certain medications are known to inhibit desire or arousal, which can decrease lubrication and make sex painful. These include antidepressants, high blood pressure medications, sedatives, antihistamines and certain birth control pills. - Any injury or irritation from an accident, pelvic surgery, female circumcision or a cut made during childbirth to enlarge the birth canal (episiotomy). - An infection in your genital area or urinary tract can cause painful intercourse. Eczema or Bartholin gland cyst or abscess can give you pain with sexual intercourse. - Discrepancy between the size of the penis and that of the vagina. A very large penis might cause pain to the partner’s vagina. - Vaginismus. Involuntary spasms of the muscles of the vaginal wall (vaginismus) can make attempts at penetration very painful. - Congenital abnormality. A problem present at birth, such as the absence of a fully-formed vagina (vaginal agenesis) or development of a membrane that blocks the vaginal opening (imperforate hymen), could be the underlying cause of dyspareunia. Deep pain: Deep pain usually occurs with deep penetration and may be more pronounced with certain positions. Causes include: - Certain illnesses and conditions: endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine prolapse, retroverted uterus, uterine fibroids, cystitis, irritable bowel syndrome, hemorrhoids and ovarian cysts. - Surgeries or medical treatments. Scarring from pelvic surgery, including hysterectomy, can sometimes cause painful intercourse. Medical treatments for cancer, such as radiation and chemotherapy, can cause changes that make sex painful. There are also Emotional factors involved: Emotions are deeply intertwined with sexual activity and may play a role in any type of sexual pain. Emotional factors include: - Psychological problems. Anxiety, depression, concerns about your physical appearance, fear of intimacy or relationship problems can result in discomfort or pain. - Stress. Your pelvic floor muscles tend to tighten in response to stress in your life. This can contribute to pain during intercourse. - History of sexual abuse. Most women with dyspareunia don't have a history of sexual abuse, but if you have been abused, it may play a role. It is important to bear in mind that vaginismus can co-exist with any condition that causes dyspareunia. Vaginismus may also continue to be present even after the original cause has been resolved or managed. Normal sexual intercourse should not cause you any pain. If it does, it can harm your sex life, your emotional intimacy and your self-image. It might also be a sign of life- threatening medical condition. The next time your partner asks, "Was it good for you?" you can say yes — in more ways than one! Here are 13 healthy reasons why you should get busy in the bedroom some more: 1. Sex burns calories: Yes, rocking the boat counts as exercise — and it sure beats the gym! Depending on how physical you get, sex can strengthen muscle tone, increase your heart rate, and get your whole body working, says Justin Lehmiller, PhD, a lecturer in the department of psychology at Purdue University and author of The Psychology of Human Sexuality. And according to a 2013 study in which volunteers wore activity trackers while they did the deed, men burn about 101 calories per session, while women torch an average of 69. "Relatively speaking, that's not a huge amount," says Lehmiller. He points out, however, that sex in the study (from foreplay to orgasm) lasted an average of 25 minutes. "If you have sex for a longer period of time, you can have even more of those calorie-burning benefits." 2. Sex helps you sleep: After orgasm, the body releases a relaxation hormone called prolactin, says Kristin Mark, PhD, director of the Sexual Health Promotion Lab at the University of Kentucky. "If you're not feeling particularly tired beforehand, having sex and reaching orgasm may certainly help you nod off a little more quickly than you would have otherwise." 3. Sex lowers your blood pressure and stress levels: In a 2005 Scottish study, volunteers were asked to record their sexual activity for two weeks and were then given anxiety-inducing tasks, like public speaking or solving math problems out loud. Those who'd had sex over the study period experienced smaller blood pressure spikes, and recovered from them more quickly, than those who hadn't. (Only penile-vaginal intercourse seemed to have this effect, not masturbation or other forms of sexual activity). The study suggests two important benefit of regular sex, says Mark: Better blood pressure control, and better stress management overall. "Sex not only lowers people's perceived levels of stress, but it also appears to helps them handle stress more effectively, as well," she says. 4. Sex strengthens your heart: Regular sex may benefit the cardiovascular system in other ways. A British study found that men who had sex at least twice a week over a period of 20 years were less likely to have died from heart disease than those who got it on less than once a month. After 10 years, in fact, their risk of sudden death was 50% less than that of the group that had less sex, although that gap lessened over the next decade. These sorts of findings only show a correlation, not causation, says Mark. "People who have healthy sex lives probably have overall healthy lifestyles."
