It seems that there was Lithium found in drinking water. Yeah, you heard me right, Lithium. Im not sure how it got there, but seems to them it is a good thing. So, it happens that the suicide rate in the communities where the Lithium was discovered is lower than in other communities. Well, it stands to reason that the next logical step is to suggest that we look into adding trace amounts to everyones water. At least, thats what she said. That news story makes me wonder what is being found in the water and how much of an affect it has on our physical and mental health. Could something like this be whats causing so much sickness around us? Well, I guess I can only speak for myself, but it seems like everyone I know feels sick quite often for no apparent reason. Not major illness, but things like stomach aches and headaches. I am going to be looking deeper into this subject.

Lithium. Yes, the Lithium in the periodic table and the satanic eyes of the Duracell bunny. But as a drug for humans - lithium’s got a bit of a bad rep. In the 50s, scientists discovered it helped treat mood disorders like depression, and it became widely used in the 60s & 70s. Problem was, the recommended doses at the time were way higher than they needed to be, so, many patients had all kinds of bad side effects. Hence the bad rep. The 60’s - not such a great time for mental healthcare in America! But decades of research is now piling up to show that lithium may actually be a good guy after all… call it... the Danny Zuco of drugs. Sorry I don’t have a more modern pop cultural reference. In a meta-analysis - so, a study of studies, often considered the gold standard of scientific studies (quick side note - for more intel on how to better understand scientific studies, check out this vid up here). Anyway! A meta-analysis of dozens of lithium studies over dozens of years found an association between lithium in the drinking water and low rates of suicide, homicide, mortality and crime. It’s like having lithium in your water is the same as having batman in your neighborhood - the neighborhood becomes a lot safer and happier. No, this vid is not sponsored by Lithium. There’s been some studies that didn’t find a connection between lithium and suicide, for example, a Danish study in 2017 couldn’t confirm the link. And we still don’t know exactly how lithium works to protect the brain, only that it may promote normal cell function in neurons that secrete neurotransmitters like dopamine, epinephrine, and help brain cell connections remodel themselves - basically lithium may protect brain cells and keep them healthy. But the body of science we do have is suggesting that right now we could be sitting on a cheap, effective way of lowering suicide rates and making communities healthier. If lithium is able to lower depression, suicide, homicide, crime, and death rates - why isn’t everyone researching lithium? Well, 3 reasons: Pharma companies aren't interested - its a generic drug, so they can’t trademark it, or make money off it. It’s Difficult to market directly to consumers, because of all that bad PR. Because of the bad PR, there’s not many researchers or funding bodies, who want to award money to study it. Now, look - I may seem very pro-lithium. But don’t worry, I’m just pro science. You’re not going to catch me tainting the water supply with Li3 anytime soon…. Although now that I mention it… we do add fluoride to our drinking water, iodine to salt, and vitamins to our cereal. We add those things because they make the entire community healthier. I want to see a lot more investment in researching lithium in drinking water. If it can save thousands of lives, its worth looking into. But what do you guys think? If lithium is as good as it sounds, should we be adding it to the public water supply? But it’s also an element that occurs naturally all over the Earth’s crust — including in bodies of water. That means that small quantities of lithium wind up in the tap water you consume every day. Just how much is in the water varies quite a bit from place to place. Naturally, that made researchers curious: Are places with more lithium in the water healthier, mentally? Do places with more lithium have less depression or bipolar or — most importantly of all — fewer suicides?"

Recently, a few news outlets, backed by research and several scientists, have suggested adding a small amount of the element lithium to the U.S. water supply, with the rationale that higher groundwater lithium levels have been linked to lower levels of suicide in various studies. Is this an idea we should seriously consider implementing, similarly to the addition of fluoride to the water supply? The proponents claim that thousands of lives a year could be saved by adding a little bit of lithium to the water, but is there sufficient evidence to back that up? Let's look at the data in detail then and you can make up your own mind on whether or not you like em' putting chemicals in the water that turn the freaking frogs sane. The government influenced by the pharmaceutical industry is looking into contaminating our drinking water supply with another drug. Lithium salts are mood stabilisers. They are used in the treatment of bipolar disorder since, unlike most other mood altering drugs, they counteract both mania and depression. Lithium continues to be the gold standard for the treatment of bipolar disorder. It is also helpful for related diagnoses, such as schizoaffective disorder and cyclic major depression. In addition to watching out for the well-known complications of lithium treatment, hypothyroidism and decreased renal function, health care providers should be aware of hyperparathyroidism. Lithium can also augment antidepressants. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium#Medical_use www.kfwb.com/pages/5918658.php

WASHINGTON — New research suggests that 47 locations in 27 states are exposed to drinking water that has been affected by highly toxic perfluorochemicals. The study says the water is consumed by 15 million people. The investigation was carried out by Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization the Environmental Working Group and Northeastern University in Boston. The results include EPA data, as well as information gathered by from Northeastern University. According to the research, the affected locations include 20 industrial installations, 21 military bases and seven firefighting sites. Some include multiple contamination sources. Also known as PFCs, perfluorochemicals are highly fluorinated toxic chemicals linked to major health problems. The research focuses on the spread of two types of PFCs: perfluorooctanoic acid and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid. Due to their non-stick properties, these types of PFCs are found in everyday items such as frying pans, waterproof jackets and even carpet stain protection. PFCS are linked to a variety of ailments, including thyroid disease, kidney cancer, and testicular cancer. They’ve also been shown to weaken some childhood immunizations, reported USA Today, citing the research. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Should we trust "big brother" to put MORE trash and poison in our water? "In the April 1995 issue of the international science journal, Neurotoxicology, a private Australian research group reported that the widespread use of aluminum salts to purify water may lead to brain damage and may account for the large scale loss of memory experienced by people suffering from Alzheimer's disease! The Australia Institute of Biomedical Research, based in Sydney, reported that experiments with rats showed that tiny amounts of aluminum consumed in water found its way to their brains and accumulated there. It has been known for twenty years that if aluminum accumulated in the brain over a period of time, it could kill off neurons and cause memory loss. Institute researcher Judie Walton noted the worldwide massive increase in Alzheimer's disease over the past 70 years. She pointed out: 'We are drinking it and eating it throughout our lifetimes, so by the time we are quite old we have had a lot of exposure to aluminum.' Aluminum is also found in food emulsifiers, anti-perspirant deodorants, baking powder, some toothpastes, and many of the commonly used cooking utensils. The research on rats found measurable amounts of aluminum in their brains after just one glass of aluminum treated water. Walton observed: 'We really should look seriously at revisiting this possibility that aluminum addition to foods and drinking water is a health hazard.' Due to the concerns about a link between aluminum and Alzheimer's disease, Sydney, Australia's largest city, is already gradually withdrawing aluminum treatment of water. Using aluminum to purify water may be even more dangerous than the use of fluoride and chlorine in our water. It is believed that the problem is worsened by the action of fluoride in facilitating the absorption of aluminum." http://www.all-natural.com/water.html "One intriguing and disturbing fact about fluoridation is that over 90% of the agent used in US fluoridation schemes is not pharmaceutical grade sodium fluoride, on which practically all toxicological testing has been performed, but industrial grade hexafluorosilicic acid obtained from the air pollution scrubbing systems of the superphosphate industry (e.g. Cargill Fertilizer). By law, this waste cannot be dumped into the sea but the EPA allows it to be diluted down with our public drinking water. The union representing scientists at the EPA headquarters in Washington, DC has gone on record as opposing this bizarre form of hazardous waste management (See www.fluoridealert.org)." http://www.fluoridedebate.com/introduction.html DISCLAIMER, WARNINGS, AND NOTICE TO READERS: This website does not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any of the information, content collectively, (the "Materials") contained on, distributed through, or linked, downloaded or accessed from any of the services contained on this website (the "Service"). Science advances and is now able to filter the sea water in a sustainable manner thanks to the invention of a new membrane that ensures greater sustainability and filtering of minerals. So far, lithium is one of the most common minerals in the entire planet, and although it may seem complicated, it can also be extracted from seawater, which ensures its presence for thousands of years. Thanks to the invention of a new membrane for filtering sea water, it is possible not only to filter lithium from water, but also to produce drinking water. It is difficult to extract minerals from seawater without contaminants because of their difficulty in separating them in the process, and one of them would be lithium. But American and Australian scientists have invented a new technique of desalination of sea water that not only turns water into drinking water, but also is able to separate minerals present in it. The protagonist of this new technique are the so-called metal-organic structures (MOF) that have a large internal surface area. Thanks to the MOF membranes, it is able to dehydrate specific ions as they pass. Thanks to this, it is possible to eliminate salt water ions in a more efficient way in terms of energy and sustainability. The current membranes have pores that allow the passage of water molecules, but small so that the rest of the contaminants do not pass the process.

A team of scientists from Australia and the US has developed a new water desalination technique that can not only make seawater fresh enough to drink, but recover lithium ions for use in batteries. The key to the process is metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), which boast the largest internal surface area of any known material. Unfolded, a single gram of the material could theoretically cover a football field, and it's this intricate internal structure that makes MOFs perfect for capturing, storing and releasing molecules. Recent research into the material could see MOFs put to work as carbon emission sponges, high-precision chemical sensors, and urban water filters. Currently, reverse osmosis membranes are the most commonly-used technology for water filtration, and they work on a fairly simple principle. The membrane's pores are large enough for water molecules to pass through, but too small for most contaminants. The problem is that to work, these systems require water to be pumped through at relatively high pressure. MOF membranes, on the other hand, can be more selective and efficient. Researchers at Monash University, the CSIRO and the University of Texas at Austin have now developed just such a membrane. The design was inspired by the "ion selectivity" of biological cell membranes, allowing the MOF material to dehydrate specific ions as they pass through. Better yet, these filters don't require water to be forced through, saving on energy use as well. "We can use our findings to address the challenges of water desalination," says Huanting Wang, an author of the new study. "Instead of relying on the current costly and energy intensive processes, this research opens up the potential for removing salt ions from water in a far more energy efficient and environmentally sustainable way." But clean drinking water isn't the only end product of the MOF membrane. Lithium is in high demand, thanks to the lithium-ion batteries that power everything from smartphones to electric cars. http://livingtraditionally.com/use-cilantro-water-daily/ Your tap water contains fluoride, aluminum, led, chloride, chlorine and lithium. Use cilantro to purify water Why I Use Cilantro In My Water Daily Our tap water contains chlorine, fluoride, and different amounts of dissolved minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, chlorides, sulfates, and bicarbonates. It can also contain iron, manganese, copper, aluminum, nitrates, insecticides and herbicides. Additionally, according to a report by the Associated Press, that’s the conclusion from a study of 24 municipal tap waters, yes, small quantities of pharmaceuticals — including antibiotics, hormones, mood stabilizers, and other drugs – are in our drinking water supplies. The problem with heavy metals is that they accumulate in the body, causing numerous health problems that can seriously impact literally every major organ in the body. Studies show that heavy metals in the body may be implicated in everything from Alzheimer’s to cardiovascular disease, from behavioral problems to kidney dysfunction, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and even paralysis. Fortunately, the popular herb cilantro has now been found to be an excellent water purifier, absorbing harmful chemicals and heavy metals such as led and nickel. Why Cilantro? Chemical agents in cilantro bind to toxic metals, wresting them free from tissues and flushing them out of the body. The secret to cilantro’s purifying power lies in the structure of the outer walls of the microscopic cells that make up the plant. The architecture of these walls make them ideal for absorbing heavy metals. According to a research team led by Douglas Schauer from Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, Indiana along with a group of Mexican researchers, cilantro leaves is a cheaper way to filter water especially poorer regions where water is not clean. The team tested various samples of plants and determined that cilantro is the most prevalent and powerful bioabsorbant material in the Tule Valley in Mexico City where water is heavily contaminated with led and nickel. The cilantro bioabsorbant is replaced by the typical charcoal, which is more costly, in order to capture metal toxicity. Schauer says, “The organic toxins we can take care of pretty easily with a number of different methods, but the only way to really get rid of those heavy metals is to treat them with filtering agents like activated charcoal, but those types of materials are kind of expensive. They are a little expensive for us to use, but they are very expensive for the people living in that region.” How to Use Cilantro Just a handful of cilantro will clean a pitcher (about 2 liters) of highly contaminated water.

Why do we age? Why do we grow older even though our cells have the ability to regenerate and clone themselves? Shouldn’t we then live forever since we have the ability to repair ourselves? Well the answer lies locked up within our cells. The human body is composed of skin cells, muscle cells, brain cells, cardiac cells and a whole array of other cells and connective tissue which we know as the human body. Within each cell lies the ability to replicate itself locked up in a building plan we call DNA or dioxy ribo nucleic acid. One of the reasons we age is because each time the cell divides protective caps on the end of the DNA called telomeres gets shorter. This is a ticking time bomb because when the cells have divided enough and the telomeres are too short they cannot replicate themselves anymore and this is one of the reasons for ageing. Taking into account our cells have a finite amount of divisions available in them it is important to minimize cell damage and cell divisions to slow down ageing. One phenomena responsible for accelerated cell death and cancer is free radicals. These are oxidative molecules that rips electrons from protein and DNA and complex molecules. Free radicals are metabolic byproducts, Free radicals are caused by an unhealthy lifestyle, stress and certain foods. When DNA is damaged by free radicals cell death or even cancer results from this because the cell building plan is damaged. Here I have a simple experiment to show the destructive nature of oxidation and free radicals. In the one glass we add sodium hypochloride also known as bleach. This is a strong oxidizing agent, In the other control glass we will add normal tap water Now we add a strawberry to both glasses and wait 10 hours. You can see how the chlorine oxidises molecules reposnible for colour absorption in the strawberry. It also damages cell membranes and is highly destructive to cells in the strawberry When we cut the strawberries we can see that the chlorine has infiltrated almost the entire strawberry within 10 hours. The control strawberry looks the same as before Chlorine kills bacteria and small organisms easily because it disrupts cell membranes. Chlorine is widely used in drinking water and studies suggest that long term exposure to chlorinated drinking water is associated with an increased risk for bladder and rectal cancer. Even though studies is limited on this topic I advise users to filter tap water. Long term exposure to chlorinated tap water could be a major contributor to cancer. Just another quick way to see the aggressive oxidation nature of chlorine is to eliminate the color of methylated spirits with a few drops of sodium hypochloride.

In this excellent documentary "THE GREAT CULLING" (Now "Fluoride Poison on Tap") by Paul Wittenberber we see yet another clear witness they are literally pouring poison into our water which is hurting us every time we drink, cook, or shower in it, causing cancer, mental malfunction, and retardation of our children, which science has proven beyond a doubt, yet year after year while Europe and the rest of the world has banned it, America does nothing to stop the poisoning of our people. Yeah, we wonder why God's wrath come upon the god, so very good people of America, yet we continue to defend the policy of dumping poison into our water, causing probably autism, downs syndrome, ADD, and many things, making us weak and ever more incompetent so that we can be good little slaves and food for reptilians. And then the very people with autistic kids are screaming at me that I should not talk about reptilians that eat us and are clearly behind this. (Published by permission from the documentary maker). To obtain the latest version of this movie on DVD go to: http://store.framingtheworld.com/products/fpot Get a copy and give to your family and community, and stop this crime against humanity right out of our own tap water. Personally I think those involved in government who allowed this to happen should be made to sit down and drink a strong solution of "fluoride" water. So the obvious solution would be to either avoid the contaminates or find a way to remove them. So what do we do about our drinking water and does boiling alone help remove these harmful agents? Well watch on and maybe this information can help.

Lithium is a potent psychiatric drug, one of the primary prescribed medications for bipolar disorder. Do places with more lithium have less depression or bipolar or — most importantly of all — fewer suicides? A 2014 review of studies concluded that the answer was yes: Four of five studies reviewed found that places with higher levels of trace lithium had lower suicide rates. And Nassir Ghaemi, the Tufts psychiatry professor who co-authored that review, argues that the effects are large. High-lithium areas, he says, have suicide rates 50 to 60 percent lower than those of low-lithium areas. “In general, in the United States, lithium levels are much higher in the Northeast and East Coast and very low in the Mountain West,” he told me on a new episode of the Vox podcast Future Perfect. “And suicide rates track that exactly — much lower suicide rates in the Northeast, and the highest rates of suicide are in the Mountain West.” If you apply that 50 to 60 percent reduction to the US, where about 45,000 people total died by suicide in 2016, you get a total number of lives saved at around 22,500 to 27,000 a year. That’s likely too high, since you can’t reduce suicide rates in places that are already high-lithium. Ghaemi’s own back-of-the-envelope calculation is that we’d save 15,000 to 25,000. Ghaemi and a number of other eminent psychiatrists are making a pretty remarkable claim. They think we could save tens of thousands of lives a year with a very simple, low-cost intervention: putting small amounts of lithium, amounts likely too small to have significant side effects, into our drinking water, the way we put fluoride in to protect our teeth. The case for skepticism on lithium The size of the numbers Ghaemi is claiming should make you skeptical: Those are huge, arguably implausibly huge, effects. In 2015, the Open Philanthropy Project, a large-scale grantmaking group in San Francisco, shared an analysis with me implying that if two specific studies were right, a “small increase in the amount of trace lithium in drinking water in the U.S. could prevent 4,000 suicides per year.” That’s significant, but far short of 15,000 to 25,000. And while Ghaemi is very enthusiastic about the potential of groundwater lithium, other researchers are more wary. A comprehensive list of lithium studies, updated just last month, shows that while many studies find positive effects, plenty more found no impact on suicide or other important outcomes. In particular, a large-scale Danish study released in 2017 found “no significant indication of an association between increasing … lithium exposure level and d

OAKLAND (KRON) — A cancer-causing compound in East Bay drinking water has reached a near critical level, with concentrations of the compound higher than they have been in the last 20 years. This came to light Tuesday in a report by the East Bay Municipal Utility District, which provides drinking water to 1.4 million people, and the district also assured KRON4 the water is safe to use. Two places have reached the near critical level–Lafayette and the Oakland Hills. In the water, at issue, is the presence of trihalomethanes or THMs. THMs are known to cause cancer in laboratory animals. It is formed when chlorine, used to disinfect, reacts with organic matter in the water. It’s always in the water, but concentrations of THMs have increased sharply in the last few years. The drought is partially to blame, according to East Bay MUD. “So when people are using less water, it means the water sits longer in our system, which means we need to add additional chlorine to make sure that it does not dissipate,” East Bay MUD spokeswoman Andrea Pook said. The Environmental Protection Agency set the rules for THMs in water at 80 parts per billion. East Bay MUD’s goal is much more strict at 40 parts per billion. But the most recent testing from the second quarter of 2017, showed concentrations above 80. These elevated levels are a cause for concern to East Bay MUD. “Is this the new normal? That is the real question,” Pook said. “Is this something that is the result of the last drought that we had? Is this something that will be here to stay?” Now, East Bay MUD would like to explore other ways to treat the water, such as adding new chemicals and changing equipment at treatment plants, lowering the levels of cancer-causing elements of the water. “East Bay MUD water is safe and meets all state and federal standards,” Pook said. In the short term, crews will begin flushing out the system starting Wednesday.

What is LITHIA WATER? What does LITHIA WATER mean? LITHIA WATER meaning - LITHIA WATER definition - LITHIA WATER explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Lithia water is defined as a type of mineral water characterized by the presence of lithium salts (as lithium carbonate or lithium chloride). Natural lithia mineral spring waters are rare and there are few commercially bottled lithia water products. An example of a noncommercial lithia water can be found in Ashland, Oregon's Lithia Park, a popular tourist attraction because of its lithia water fountain. The water is pumped from a spring to a fountain where thousands of people come to drink the water for its alleged health benefits. An example of a commercially bottled lithia spring water product is Lithia brand water. One other example of lithia water is Bear-lithia water, a mineral water from Bear-Lithia Springs, Virginia. It contains carbonates of calcium and magnesium. Between the 1880s and World War I, the consumption of bottled lithia mineral water was popular. The most premium of all the mineral water brands were lithia waters because of their acclaimed health benefits. One of the first commercially sold lithia waters in the United States was bottled at Lithia Springs, Georgia in 1888. During this era there was such a demand for lithia water that there was a proliferation of bottled lithia water products, however only a few were natural lithia spring waters. Most of the bottled lithia water brands added lithium bicarbonate to spring water and called it lithia water. With the advent of World War I and the formation of the new US government food safety agency, mineral water bottlers were under scrutiny. The new agency posted large fines against mineral water bottlers for mislabeled, misrepresented, and adulterated products. These government actions and their publicity along with public works that made clean tap water readily accessible caused the American public to lose confidence and interest in bottled mineral water. The health benefits of lithia water have been supported by countless testimonials, but no independent scientific research had been conducted on lithia water until the 1980s. A published researched study in 1992 about trace elements indicated that individuals with heart disease, learning-disabilities, and incarcerated violent criminals were found to have lithium deficiencies (as measured through hair sample analysis). Research studies measuring the effects of trace levels of lithium, commonly found in lithia waters, have demonstrated neuroprotective abilities, as well as improvements in mood and cognitive function. In 1949, psychiatrist John Cade discovered the anti-manic effects of lithium ions. This finding led to lithium carbonate to be used to treat mania. Lithium compounds yield positive outcomes as a treatment for bipolar disorder. Research studies published by the British Journal of Psychiatry 2009 found that communities with naturally occurring lithia waters have lower suicide rates, mental hospital admissions, incidences of crimes, and arrests related to drug addictions. On February 8, 2011, German researchers at Friedrich Schiller University Jena published their findings in the European Journal of Nutrition (Nature Publishing Group) indicating that lithia waters lead to an increased life expectancy in humans and metazoans. The researchers concluded the following: Taken together, these findings indicate that long-term low-dose exposure to lithium may exert anti-aging capabilities and unambiguously decreases mortality in evolutionary distinct species.

UPDATE april 25 2013: GET MORE INFO HERE: http://youtu.be/LEZ15m-D_n8 THE FLUORIDE DECEPTION Thanks for all your interest, your nice personal messages, and for taking me seriously. The clip above is a good start to your own research. The Fluoride in our drinking water is toxic waste, collected from the mining industry. Educate yourselves! Check into GMO's too. Our food is being modified in ways our bodies can't handle. It's happening right in front of our eyes. There's tons of studies out there. Read them. Fluoride is in the drinking water because it is toxic waste and can't be legally disposed of - unless, it passes through an organism first. Foods are being genetically modified for the profit of a few, risking the health and future of all of us. WE MUST SPEAK UP!
