What medications are safe to take during pregnancy? - Dr. Shefali Tyagi

01:23
Any medicine in pregnancy should not be taken without doctor's advice.Be it antibiotics, be it sleeping pills all have an effect on the baby. Most of the medicines cross the placenta, reach the baby and they can have effects on the baby. Many of the pills that are taking in non pregnant state are not allowed in the pregnancy. For example voveran tablets which are taken for back pain can really harm the baby. Pregnant women having any kind of trouble or ache or infection should consult the doctor and should take prescribed medicine.Sleeping pills are not at all recommended because they cross the placenta and sedate the baby.So baby will become depressed which is not good for the baby..

what can i take for heartburn while pregnant | How to Treat Heartburn during Pregnancy For many people, pregnancy can cause different problems and heartburn is one of them. Uncomfortable and frustrating, heartburn can make you forget about the pleasure of being pregnant as your mind becomes occupied by the pain and burning sensation in your chest. There are two main causes of heartburn during pregnancy – the ongoing hormonal changes in the body and the increasing pressure on the stomach from the growing womb. The hormonal changes in the body can cause the muscles in the esophagus to relax more frequently. This allows stomach acid to flow back up into the esophagus, especially when you’re lying down to take a nap or after you’ve eaten a large meal. With each passing day, your uterus expands to accommodate the growth of your baby. This means your stomach is under more pressure, which also results in food and acid being pushed back up into your esophagus. It’s common to have heartburn during the first and third trimesters, but it doesn’t mean you have to just bear with it throughout your pregnancy. While medicines are not recommended for pregnancy-related heartburn as they can have lasting effects on the unborn baby, there are many simple things that can help you deal with this problem and maintain a healthy pregnancy. Here are the top 5 ways to treat heartburn during pregnancy. 1. Eat Less, But More Often When you are pregnant, you start paying more attention to your diet so your baby stays healthy. But this does not mean that you need to eat for two, it is just an unwarranted pregnancy myth. In fact, overeating is a big “NO” as it can worsen the symptoms of heartburn. 2. Sleep on Your Left Side Whether it is during pregnancy or any other time, health experts recommend sleeping on your left side. Lying on your left side at night may decrease acid reflux, as it is more difficult for acid to flow into the esophagus while you’re in this position. 3. Chew Gum Chewing gum after eating can help prevent heartburn, which is just one of the many discomforts that you will face during pregnancy. It stimulates your salivary glands, and saliva can help neutralize the acid that has backed up into the esophagus. 4. Elevate the Head of Your Bed To prevent heartburn while sleeping, you can raise the head of your bed. Elevation will prevent acid from flowing back up into the esophagus. Plus, it will prevent swelling in the legs. 5. Sip on Water Sipping small amounts of water throughout the day is another simple and effective way to keep heartburn under control during pregnancy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Links: For more tips see our blog: https://naturalhealthcarenhc.blogspot.com like us in Facebook: https://goo.gl/MmjtyD Follow us on twitter: https://goo.gl/USDg3k Google plus: https://goo.gl/B5B2oz Special thanks to: http://www.top10homeremedies.com If you found this information cool, useful or valuable please hit share and let your friends benefit from this as well!

Signs My Baby Has Acid Reflux

02:01
What are the signs my baby has acid reflux? He upchucks more than the average baby. That could be because he has food allergies. Food allergies will cause digestive upset for that particular food. If you take that food out of the diet and the vomiting stops, you know it isn’t acid reflux. Then there’s the possibility he’s just eating stuff he shouldn’t be. Yeah, that bottle from yesterday he put down under the crib and picked back up today could cause him to puke tonight. But careful controlling what he eats eliminates those symptoms in a day or two. I’ve heard babies can have acid reflux, but it isn’t like I can give him a Tums. You could try mixing a little baking soda with his bottle, since that’s an all natural base to neutralize stomach acid. I know it seems like he eats everything, but I don’t think he’ll eat that. So cut back on the acidic foods in the diet like soda, beer and coffee. If my kid was consuming any of that, we have a problem. OK, that’s a standard answer for an adult with acid reflux. For a baby, cut back on the tomatoes, oranges or grapefruit. Grapefruits are as good as lemons for those cute bitter face baby videos on Youtube. Cut back on the high fat foods like cheese and nuts, since the high fat consumption can trigger indigestion. So let the kid have more baloney and less cheese. And pressure on the stomach could make acid reflux worse. So let the kid sit up for a while or hold them upright for a while before you put them down for a nap. If that doesn’t work, I could ask the pediatrician for a kid safe antacid. Or you could just give the kid either pasta or cheese or orange juice to drink but not all three at once. Serving spaghetti does just as well, since half of it ends up on the kid’s head.

Ciprofloxacin tablets|Use|Side effects|Mechanism of action

05:14
Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic used to treat a number of bacterial infections. This includes bone and joint infections, intra abdominal infections, certain type of infectious diarrhea, respiratory tract infections, skin infections, typhoid fever, and urinary tract infections, among others. For some infections it is used in addition to other antibiotics. It can be taken by mouth or used intravenously. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and rash.Ciprofloxacin increases the risk of tendon rupture and worsening muscle weakness in people with the neurological disorder myasthenia gravis.[2] Rates of side effects appear to be higher than some groups of antibiotics such as cephalosporins but lower than others such as clindamycin.[3] Studies in other animals raise concerns regarding use in pregnancy. No problems were identified, however, in the children of a small number of women who took the medication. It appears to be safe during breastfeeding. It is a second-generation fluoroquinolone with a broad spectrum of activity that usually results in the death of the bacteria. Ciprofloxacin was introduced in 1987. It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system.[8] It is available as a generic medication and not very expensive. The wholesale cost in the developing world is between 0.03 and 0.13 USD a dose.In the United States it is sold for about 0.40 USD per dose. Medical use: Ciprofloxacin is used to treat a wide variety of infections, including infections of bones and joints, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, malignant otitis externa, respiratory tract infections, cellulitis, urinary tract infections, prostatitis, anthrax, and chancroid. Ciprofloxacin only treats bacterial infections; it does not treat viral infections such as the common cold. For certain uses including acute sinusitis, lower respiratory tract infections and uncomplicated gonorrhea, ciprofloxacin is not considered a first-line agent. Ciprofloxacin occupies an important role in treatment guidelines issued by major medical societies for the treatment of serious infections, especially those likely to be caused by Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. For example, ciprofloxacin in combination with metronidazole is one of several first-line antibiotic regimens recommended by the Infectious Diseases Society of America for the treatment of community-acquired abdominal infections in adults. It also features prominently in treatment guidelines for acute pyelonephritis, complicated or hospital-acquired urinary tract infection, acute or chronic prostatitis, certain types of endocarditis Thanks. OMEZ D Capsule Uses ,Composition,Price ,Dosage ,How To Use & Review in Hindi OMEZ DSR Capsule

01:51
OMEZ D Capsule Uses ,Composition,Price ,Dosage ,How To Use & Review in Hindi OMEZ DSR Capsule Reflux Oesophagitis OMEPRAZOLE is used to treat the symptoms of reflux oesophagitis or reflux disease in adults and in children. This can be caused by "washing back" (reflux) of food and acid from the stomach into the food pipe (oesophagus). Reflux can cause a burning sensation in the chest rising up to the throat, also known as heartburn, which usually occurs after eating or at night and which worsens when bending over. OMEPRAZOLEis also used to help stop reflux oesophagitis coming back or relapsing. Acid-Related Dyspepsia OMEPRAZOLE is used to treat acid-related dyspepsia. Dyspepsia is an uncomfortable feeling in the stomach or belching after eating. It is also known as indigestion. Peptic Ulcers OMEPRAZOLE is used to treat peptic ulcers. Depending on the position of the ulcer it is called a gastric or duodenal ulcer. A gastric ulcer occurs in the stomach. A duodenal ulcer occurs in the duodenum which is the tube leading out from the stomach. These ulcers can be caused by too much acid being made in the stomach. They can cause pain and discomfort (indigestion) which is felt between the naval and the breast bone. OMEPRAZOLEis also used to help stop gastric or duodenal ulcers coming back. Peptic Ulcers Associated with Helicobacter pylori Infection Most people who have a peptic ulcer also have a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori in their stomach. When OMEPRAZOLEis taken with antibiotics, they will kill Helicobacter pylori and let your peptic ulcer heal. When OMEPRAZOLEis taken together with two antibiotics, they are more effective than taken one or two at a time. It is possible that the antibiotics may not always kill Helicobacter pylori. You may need furthertreatment. Peptic Ulcers Associated with Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) Some peptic ulcers are caused by taking medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. These medicines are commonly taken to relieve pain, swelling and other symptoms of inflammation, including arthritis. OMEPRAZOLE is also used to heal and prevent ulcers associated with NSAIDs. Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome OMEPRAZOLE is also used to treat a rare condition called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, where the stomach produces large amounts of acid, much more than in ulcers or reflux disease. OMEPRAZOLEis a type of medicine called a proton-pump inhibitor. It works by decreasing the amount of acid made by the stomach, to give relief of symptoms and allow healing to take place. This does not stop food being digested in the normal way. Your doctor will have explained why you are being treated with OMEPRAZOLE and told you what dose to take. Follow all instructions given to you by your doctor carefully. Your doctor may prescribe this medicine for another use. Ask your doctor if you want more information. The name of your medicine is Domperidone. This belongs to a group of medicines called ‘dopamine antagonists’. Domperidone works by helping to move food faster through your food pipe (oesophagus), stomach and gut. This is so that it does not stay in the same place for too long. It also helps stop food flowing the wrong way back up your food pipe. Domperidone can be used for the following: Adults •To stop or prevent you feeling sick (nausea) or being sick (vomiting) •To stop or prevent the feeling of fullness during or shortly after a meal •To treat stomach discomfort, or heartburn caused by the flow of the stomach contents back into your food pipe Children •To stop or prevent children feeling sick (nausea) or being sick (vomiting) #onlinemedicine,#medicine,#ayurveda,#ayurved ,#Ayurvedic

Product Reviewed: AbGard Omeprazole paste |Before & After treatment endoscopy

01:29
Here we see before and after images of a horses stomach with signs of ulcers and effectively treated with AbGard omeprazole paste. Omeprazole was the first acid pump inhibitor to be approved for use in humans, now it’s the approved treatment of stomach ulcers in horses. Omeprazole is a highly effective inhibitor of acid secretion in horses, creating an intra gastric environment allowing the ulcers to heal. Omeprazole improves ulcers and prevents their re occurrence, even during training. Also alleviates stomach pH throughout the 24 hours after dosing, allowing convenient once-a-day- dosing. Omeprazole inhibits the acid pump, so when receptors are activated, the acid pump does not initiate acid secretion. Omeprazole is the only medication approved for use in horses that acts directly on the acid pump, preventing acid secretion no matter what receptor is activated. With AbGard, horse owners can be confident that their horses are ulcer-free. Find out more about AbGard at www.abler.com
