What Causes Diabetes - Natural Treatment!
http://tinyurl.com/Naturally-Cure-Diabetes Find out More about Diabetes What causes Diabetes In many ways the massive increase in diabetic sufferers has crept up on us over the last few years and gone relatively unnoticed until now. What causes diabetes is a subject which will create many different arguments and comments but we need to know what is causing diabetes before the situation can be fully addressed and rectified. What is causing diabetes to become more commonplace? Poor diet A poor diet goes hand-in-hand with obesity which is an epidemic that is grabbing hold of every area of the globe. Many experts believe that low protein and low fiber intake together with excessive amounts of refined products such as these find fat are behind the massive increase in the number of diabetics. Obesity As you mention above, obesity and diet habits go hand-in-hand as well as a lack of exercise for many people around the world. The more overweight you are the more precious places upon the body and the more likely you are to become insulin resistant. It has been shown that an improvement in your exercise as well as improvement in your diet can have an immediate impact upon your blood sugar levels. Stress Even though many experts have been predicting a shorter working week and more leisure time for many people around the world this situation has not appeared as yet. Life can be more stressful than ever for many people which can lead to other medical conditions including diabetes. Hereditary Many people believe that both types of diabetes can be hereditary but it is more likely that type I diabetes would be past generation to generation. Even if the diabetes gene is present in any one person it is not certain they will develop the condition and it is unclear exactly what "switches on" the rogue diabetic gene. Conclusion In the eyes of many experts there is no one reason why instances of diabetes continue to grow in the modern world. However, there is a very close association between obesity and lack of exercise citing many experts suggest we need to control the current obesity epidemic which will then bring down the number of future diabetic sufferers. http://tinyurl.com/Naturally-Cure-Diabetes #What Causes Diabetes

How to Fix Diabetes Naturally - CHTV 175
Diabetes has become a massive epidemic. Nationwide, the rates have nearly doubled in the past 20 years, and numbers keep getting worse. More than 29 million American adults have diabetes, and the CDC projects that 1 in 3 adults could have diabetes by 2050. It's the 7th leading cause of death in the US, accounting for about $245 billion in medical costs and lost productivity each year. Clearly, current treatment and prevention approaches aren't working. To dig into the issue further, and discuss natural solutions that actually work, we bring back brilliant diabetes expert Dr. Jason Fung. Dr. Fung and I both remain passionate about the topic because we've seen countless lives change from strategically implementing simple, FREE, ancient healing strategies like fasting and ketosis to reverse the disease. How to make diseases disappear | Rangan Chatterjee | TEDxLiverpool
Can you actually make a disease disappear? Dr Rangan Chatterjee thinks you can. Often referred to as the doctor of the future, Rangan is changing the way that we look at illness and how medicine will be practised in years to come. He highlighted his methods in the groundbreaking BBC TV show, Doctor In The House, gaining him much acclaim from patients, his contemporaries and the media. He is the author of the international bestseller, The 4 Pillar Plan - http://amzn.to/2yGfpuB which has been released in the USA and Canada under the title, How to Make Disease Disappear - https://amzn.to/2GstJf6 Rangan’s 15 years of clinical experience in the NHS includes internal medicine, immunology and general practice. A pioneer in the emerging field of progressive medicine, he also uses techniques from other disciplines he has studied including movement kinetics and functional medicine. His own journey of learning was accelerated when family members fell ill and now Rangan is helping people to take control of their health by addressing the root causes of their illnesses, something which is often not achieved in 21st century health care, evidenced by a steady increase in the rates of chronic disease. Rangan is a super-generalist, looking at as many factors as possible which can create wellness or illness. His talk is testament to how our thinking around the concept of disease needs to change to help form a map for future healthcare. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

5 Ways to Improve Your Eyesight Without Glasses
How to improve your vision at home? How to say goodbye to your glasses without expensive surgery? Here’s a list of 5 effective home remedies that will help you improve your vision naturally and boost your eyes. These remedies you most likely have at home have proven their effectiveness over centuries. TIMESTAMPS Aloe vera 0:56 Ginkgo biloba 4:18 Green tea 5:29 Bilberry 6:41 Almonds 7:21 Music: Someways - Nicolai Heidlas is licensed under a Creative Commons license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/) SUMMARY -Aloe vera is a great source of important vitamins and antioxidants that help with white blood cell production and tissue recovery. Aloe vera is effective enough even when used alone, but we’ll spice it up with following ingredients: 1 lb of ground walnuts, 300 ml of pure honey and freshly squeezed juice from 4 lemons. -Ginkgo biloba can help relieve anxiety and boost your memory and thinking process, which is especially good for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s. As for our vision, it’s great at increasing blood flow to the eyes. -Green tea is rich in antioxidants called flavonoids, which fight off free radicals that can cause a number of eye diseases, like glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts. -Bilberries improve nighttime vision, and help regenerate important parts of the retina, which can be damaged because of high blood pressure and diabetes. -Raw almonds are a natural source of omega-3 fatty acid, vitamin E and antioxidants, all of which are great at improving vision. What you have to do is soak 5 to 10 nuts overnight. When you wake up in the morning, peel and grind them. Today, Ashkan is a public speaker and consultant for tech startups in Stockholm. He also appears on Swedish national television as a science reporter. HDAC inhibitors may provide a novel way to cut excessive blood glucose levels at the source

Salk Institute - 5/13/2011‬ LA JOLLA, CA—A uniquely collaborative study by researchers at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies uncovered a novel mechanism that turns up glucose production in the liver when blood sugar levels drop, pointing towards a new class of drugs for the treatment of metabolic disease.

Their findings, published in the May 13, 2011, issue of the journal Cell, revealed a crucial role for so called histone deacetylases (HDACs), a group of enzymes that is the target of the latest generation of cancer drugs. HDACs get sugar production rolling when blood glucose levels run low after prolonged periods of fasting or during the night.

"In liver cells, so-called class II HDACs are usually sequestered outside the nucleus but in response to fasting signals they quickly shuttle into the nucleus where they help turn on genes needed for glucose production," says Howard Hughes Medical Institute early career scientist Reuben J. Shaw, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the Molecular and Cell Biology Laboratory. "Drugs that specifically inhibit HDACs involved in gluconeogenesis may be very useful for the treatment of diabetes and metabolic syndrome."

Why diversity is upside down: Andrés Tapia at TEDxIndianapolis
Andrés Tapia explores ways we live in an Upside Down World. So much of what we know of how the world works has been flipped on its head. The US' position in geopolitics. The way healthcare will work in the US. How products get manufactured. How we consume entertainment. How we connect with one another. The best practices have become obsolete. But we're not sure what the new and next practices are. If all these and many more things are in the midst of questioning their basic presuppositions, then diversity should be no different. In what ways is diversity upside down? Tapia, Senior Partner at Korn/Ferry International's Diversity, Inclusion & Talent Optimization Practice, has been one of the leading voices in shaping a contemporary, next generation approach to diversity and inclusion. The approach is global, deeply integrated into talent systems, and focused on enabling marketplace success. He has over 25 years of experience as a C-suite management consultant, diversity executive, organizational development and training professional, and journalist. Throughout Europe, Asia, North America, and his native Latin America, Tapia has served clients in shaping their enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion business cases and strategies across industries -- including financial, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, government, not-for-profits, and education -- with dozens of Global 500 organizations such as John Deere, Marriott, United, Target, Cigna and Novartis as well as non-US multinationals in Brazil, South Korea, and India. Tapia, the author of a groundbreaking book, "The Inclusion Paradox: The Obama Era and the Transformation of Global Diversity," is a frequently sought after speaker on the topic of diversity and inclusion. He is the recipient of numerous leadership and diversity awards and has served on a number of boards, including currently serving on the editorial board of Diversity Executive Magazine, the corporate advisory board for the Bentley University Center for Women and Business, and Ravinia Festival. Video 7 - M7 Secret. Can You Reverse Diabetes? It's Not Invincible
http://www.m7secret.com For a many years now, doctors have been treating diabetes with medications including various pills and insulin. However now there is an increasing trend for doctors to recommend weight loss surgery as yet another option. It seems more and more doctors are saying more people should be offered the surgery as a first option, and not just as last resort. Whilst surgery might seem an attractive quick-fix option, and figures of diabetes reversal are encouraging, there are many serious factors which must be taken into consideration. Two of them being; #The first factor is of course the danger that surgeries have the potential to pose. #The second is the prohibitive cost. Weight loss surgery can cost in the vicinity of $15,000 to $25,000 Staggeringly, nearly 26 million Americans have Type 2 diabetes. This translates to more than a third of American adults being obese. And more than 8 percent have a form of diabetes. Whilst these figures cannot be ignored, surely there has to be more emphasis placed on lifestyle changes as a more economic and long term solution. Some would see surgery simply as a "get out of jail free" card, as the patient is not forced to deal with the lifestyle which led to obesity and diabetes in the first place. If people took on the responsibility of adopting positive lifestyle change, then they could also pass this down to the next generation of potential diabetics which is rapidly coming through. Take action. Unlock the M7Secret...before it's too late! http://www.youtube.com/user/theM7Secret http://www.facebook.com/pages/M7secret/273817669359149 https://twitter.com/#!/m7secret

Why does it take so long to grow up today? | Jeffrey Jensen Arnett | TEDxPSU
It takes so long to “grow up” today—finish education, find a stable job, get married—that it makes sense to think of it as a new life stage, emerging adulthood, in between adolescence and young adulthood. But why? Four revolutions of the 1960s and ‘70s explain it: the Technology Revolution that changed the economy and led to more education for longer than ever before; the Sexual Revolution that made it possible to have a sex life without marriage; the Women’s Movement that gave women an incentive to postpone marriage to pursue a career; and the Youth Movement, which gave adulthood a bad name. Older adults grumble that it takes “too long” to grow up today, but most people will be better partners and parents if they wait longer, so why not use most of the twenties for adventures you’ll never be able to have again? Jeffrey Arnett is a professor in Clark University’s Department of Psychology in Massachusetts. Starting with his Bachelor in Science in Psychology at Michigan State University, Arnett’s education continued with a Masters and a Ph. D. from the University of Virginia. Arnett has held a lot of professorships and research positions with a variety of universities across the United States. Arnett coined the phrase emerging adulthood, the phase of life between adolescence and full-fledged adulthood. Arnett has also authored three publications including a book about the heavy metal subculture and teens. In addition to his background in academia, Arnett has appeared on television and given speeches to further his theory of emerging adulthood. WCU student to present one-man dramedy about living with diabetes
Western Carolina University sophomore Jonathan Cobrda will present his original one-man show "Sweet 'N Low: The True Story of One Diabetic's Journey to Keep Spirits High and Sugars Low" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011. The production, which chronicles Cobrda's life since being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 12, will be held in the performance hall of WCU's Fine and Performing Arts Center. An initiative of WCU's Quality Enhancement Plan sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Office for Undergraduate Studies, "Sweet 'N Low" is more than just a show; it also is an interdisciplinary learning event focusing on health and wellness, community outreach, research and creative scholarship, service learning and advocacy, said Glenda Hensley of WCU's Office For Undergraduate Studies. http://www.wcu.edu (This short video clip from the show was filmed and edited by WCU student Joseph Hader)
