What is DISASTER RECOVERY? What does DISASTER RECOVERY mean? DISASTER RECOVERY meaning - DISASTER RECOVERY definition - DISASTER RECOVERY explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Disaster recovery (DR) involves a set of policies, procedures and tools to enable the recovery or continuation of vital technology infrastructure and systems following a natural or human-induced disaster. Disaster recovery focuses on the IT or technology systems supporting critical business functions, as opposed to business continuity, which involves keeping all essential aspects of a business functioning despite significant disruptive events. Disaster recovery is therefore a subset of business continuity. Disaster recovery developed in the mid- to late 1970s as computer center managers began to recognize the dependence of their organizations on their computer systems. At that time, most systems were batch-oriented mainframes which in many cases could be down for a number of days before significant damage would be done to the organization. As awareness of the potential business disruption that would follow an IT-related disaster, the disaster recovery industry developed to provide backup computer centers, with Sun Information Systems (which later became Sungard Availability Services) becoming the first major US commercial hot site vendor, established in 1978 in Sri Lanka. During the 1980s and 90s, customer awareness and industry both grew rapidly, driven by the advent of open systems and real-time processing which increased the dependence of organizations on their IT systems. Regulations mandating business continuity and disaster recovery plans for organizations in various sectors of the economy, imposed by the authorities and by business partners, increased the demand and led to the availability of commercial disaster recovery services, including mobile data centers delivered to a suitable recovery location by truck. With the rapid growth of the Internet through the late 1990s and into the 2000s, organizations of all sizes became further dependent on the continuous availability of their IT systems, with some organizations setting objectives of 2, 3, 4 or 5 nines (99.999%) availability of critical systems. This increasing dependence on IT systems, as well as increased awareness from large-scale disasters such as tsunami, earthquake, flood, and volcanic eruption, spawned disaster recovery-related products and services, ranging from high-availability solutions to hot-site facilities. Improved networking meant critical IT services could be served remotely, hence on-site recovery became less important. The rise of cloud computing since 2010 continues that trend: nowadays, it matters even less where computing services are physically served, just so long as the network itself is sufficiently reliable (a separate issue, and less of a concern since modern networks are highly resilient by design). 'Recovery as a Service' (RaaS) is one of the security features or benefits of cloud computing being promoted by the Cloud Security Alliance. Disasters can be classified into two broad categories. The first is natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes, tornadoes or earthquakes. While preventing a natural disaster is impossible, risk management measures such as avoiding disaster-prone situations and good planning can help. The second category is man-made disasters, such as hazardous material spills, infrastructure failure, bio-terrorism, and disastrous IT bugs or failed change implementations. In these instances, surveillance, testing and mitigation planning are invaluable. Recent research supports the idea that implementing a more holistic pre-disaster planning approach is more cost-effective in the long run. Every $1 spent on hazard mitigation(such as a disaster recovery plan) saves society $4 in response and recovery costs. As IT systems have become increasingly critical to the smooth operation of a company, and arguably the economy as a whole, the importance of ensuring the continued operation of those systems, and their rapid recovery, has increased. For example, of companies that had a major loss of business data, 43% never reopen and 29% close within two years. As a result, preparation for continuation or recovery of systems needs to be taken very seriously. This involves a significant investment of time and money with the aim of ensuring minimal losses in the event of a disruptive event. ...

RECONASS - Reconstruction and REcovery Planning
In a duration of 42 months (December 2013 - May 2017) and implemented by a consortium of 10 partners from 7 MS, RECONASS prototyped and delivered a holistic monitoring tool for buildings (critical or conventional ones) comprised of a multitude of technological components for assessing the status of the facility during normal operations and after extraordinary ones. RECONASS is positioned across two realms; this of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and this of Disaster Management and the final outcome is a complete Information System for Crisis Response, Reconstruction and Recovery Planning (Disaster Management Platform, sensors, communications and software assessment modules) towards monitoring buildings. Its primary goal is to provide the stakeholders, be them civil protection agencies, building owners or insurance companies with an accurate, updated and near real-time assessment of the monitored facility’s structural and non-structural status after an explosion, an earthquake or a fire. In more detail, RECONASS delivered a multidisciplinary Information System for Crisis Response, Reconstruction & Recovery Planning by researching, adapting and integrating cutting edge technologies: a) a compact and highly energy efficient local positioning system was prototyped which cooperates, under the deployment of a wide sensor network, with strategically placed strain, acceleration and temperature sensors; b) the aggregation of sensor information is realised by a robust, secure, intelligent and resilient communication module; c) a remote sensing framework complements the aforementioned data extraction methodologies, using air and space borne systems and; d) capitalising on the data derived from above systems, data fusion is enabled and overall structural and non-structural assessments are executed in the interoperable Post Crisis Needs Assessment Tool in regards to Construction Damage and related Needs (PCCDN). Such platform embeds the structural and economic loss and needs assessment modules which output appropriate data for comprehensively depicting (GUI featuring 2D/3D visualisations and a rich set of building information) the end-user with the structure’s status, including external data (e.g. meteorological data, newsfeeds) whilst permitting information exchange among the response, reconstruction and recovery planning agencies. Application of RECONASS is expected to impact crisis functions and enhance resilience in the below principal ways: • When RECONASS is monitoring a disaster affected building, relief organizations can begin funding restoration efforts at a much earlier date; • During Response and Reconstruction phases Emergency Response crews will receive critical information promptly to pinpoint danger and in turn respond in precision; • When RECONASS is monitoring a disaster affected building, disaster cost is to be reduced by preventing monitored structures from collapsing; • Knowing functionality of Critical Buildings immediately after the disaster enhances asset utilisation; • By RECONASS operates, all major recovery stakeholders using it will acquire a common picture of the situation; • Preparedness may be enhanced, as the RECONASS system may act a simulation software; • By using RECONASS system in critical buildings, early, effective handling of the reconstruction and recovery process will have long term financial repercussions. “RECONASS has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no [312718]”

How to Fix a Bulging Disc (NO SURGERY!)
Pick your program here - http://athleanx.com/x/my-workouts Subscribe to this channel here - http://bit.ly/2b0coMW Bulging discs are one of the most common conditions that will derail your workouts quickly. In this video, I’m going to show you how to fix a bulging disc in your lower back without requiring surgery. In just 3 simple steps you are going to be able to get rid of the pain that is wreaking havoc on your training and making your life miserable. The first thing that needs to be discussed however are the terms used to describe the condition. Some people refer to a bulging disc as a herniated disc. In both cases, we are talking about a scenario where the inner disc material has protruded from the disc but has not reached a point of no return. The point at which the disc can no longer be repaired without surgery is more accurately called a ruptured disc. Bulging discs are a very common problem and one that we all might have to some degree if we were to MRI our backs. The thing is however, just because we may have a disc that is bulging does not mean that we will have symptoms. The only time it starts to matter is when the presence of the disc starts to become symptomatic and interferes with your life or workouts. The good news about disc issues however is that 98 percent of them are non-operative and solved with a dedication to just a few simple steps. One of those steps however is not stretching the lower back. This may come as a surprise to you, especially if you feel that your low back has become tight or sore as a result of your disc issues. Far too many people are told to lay on their back and start pulling their knee or knees up to their chest to stretch out the tight muscles in the low back. They may even be told to get on their knees and sit back on their heels to stretch out all of the muscles of the back. Both of these would be horrible advice because they not only aren’t treating the cause of the problem but they are aggravating the actual cause and making the disc protrude even more. What you need to do is focus on fixing the disc and recentralizing it through extension. If you can do this, the spasm that you are experiencing in the low back muscles as a result of the herniation will resolve once the disc itself is fixed. There are 3 parts to fixing this issue however and it starts with a decompression of the spine to allow for more room for the nerves that are being compressed by the disc protrusion. This can easily be done by hanging from a pullup bar with your toes slightly in contact with the ground. Let the pelvis drop and feel the spine open up. Do this for about 30 seconds to a minute and then proceed to step two if you need it or just skip to step three if not. Step two is a list correction. This is needed if you find that you are leaning to one side because of the pain of the protrusion. This can easily be done against a wall and will help to put the spine back in the proper alignment prior to moving on to the final step. Lay on your stomach with your hands under your shoulders. Press down on the floor and lift your upper torso off of it. Be sure to keep your hips in contact with the ground to avoid overextension of the lumber spine. Do this a few times a day and always within a zone of comfort. Before you know it, your disc will be centralized and your pain and symptoms down the leg and in the lower back should subside. You will be ready to start attacking your workouts again in no time. If you are looking for a workout program that puts the science back in strength and helps to injury proof your body from letting this happen again, head to http://athleanx.com and get the ATHLEAN-X Training System. 6 Foods That Naturally Cleanse the Liver
We are all consuming lots of processed foods on a daily basis. Then there is the environmental pollution. We intake so much preservatives and additives on a daily basis. All this makes it crucial that our body be given a boost from time to time so that it keeps working properly and remains healthy. Our liver plays one of the most important roles in eliminating toxins from our body. Without the liver, your body will not be able to absorb nutrients from foods. In order to flush toxins out of your body and detox your liver, you should ensure that you include into your regular diet these 6 good foods for your liver. Garlic Garlic is loaded with so many powerful benefits for your liver. It has selenium in it, a mineral that helps boost antioxidant action which is great for detoxification of liver. The vitamin B6 in garlic works as an anti-inflammatory in your liver. The arginine in garlic, which is an amino acid, helps in giving relaxation to the blood vessels. This helps in easing blood pressure within your liver. Grapefruit How grapefruit works to help your liver is that it contains high amounts of vitamin C and glutathione. The liver also produces glutathione naturally. There are so many processes in our body that require glutathione. This includes producing proteins and chemicals essential for the body, tissue building and repair, and making a stronger immune system. Leafy Green Veggies Leafy green vegetables can help in protecting your liver, as they neutralize chemicals, metals and pesticides from the environment and your foods. You should take more spinach, chicory and arugula because they can help in increasing bile flow and eliminating waste products. You should also take beets because they help in cleansing and purifying your blood. This helps in boosting liver function and increases the production of nutrients in your body. You should also take cruciferous vegetables like Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and broccoli. They are beneficial for the liver in the production of enzymes that aid in removing toxins. Avocados Avocado is well known as a superfood. When you realize that it is also a superfood for your liver, you will have more reasons to eat it. Avocado has glutathione, vitamin C, and vitamin E. These nutrients work as antioxidants that help in neutralizing harmful free radicals and in protecting liver cells against damage. Both vitamin E and K present in this fruit further help in protecting your liver against harmful inflammation because they are anti-inflammatory. They have healthy fats that further help in improving your cholesterol levels. Walnuts You should be taking more walnuts because they are rich in amino acid arginine. It plays an important role in helping your liver in the detoxification of ammonia. Besides, walnuts also contain high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids and glutathione. They support liver detoxification. They are loaded with antioxidants, thus helping in the neutralization of harmful free radicals. They also have healthy unsaturated fats which help in two main ways: Protecting from the accumulation of fat in your liver. Development of strong cell membranes around the liver cells. Turmeric Turmeric contains curcumin as its primary active ingredient. It is known as a very powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. This ingredient also helps in protecting your bile duct. This helps in boosting bile flow, thus working as a liver cleanser. It also helps in rejuvenating your liver cells through the prevention of alcohol and toxins from converting into compounds that could cause damage to your liver. When you sprinkle some turmeric over your food, it helps in adding little flavor while giving its amazing health benefits. Data backup, data recovery and business continuity planning
http://FiberLineCommunications.com Data backup, data recovery and business continuity planning Thank you for joining us for the latest in our series on the advantages of cloud computing. This week we will discuss the cloud computing advantage of, automated data backup, recovery, and business continuity! Does your business have an IT backup, recovery and business continuity plan in place? Is it a plan that will keep your business from shutting down if you have an extended IT failure? Could your company survive if you permanently lost all of the data on your servers? Have you assessed how much would it cost your business if you lost all computer services for 10 or more days? Do you have a clear understanding of the difference between data backup, disaster recovery and a business continuity plan? Data loss data loss often originates due to human error. Software corruption, this is often caused by failed backups Hardware malfunctions, often caused by human error, electrical failure, or power spikes. Inability to access, could be caused by snow storms or floods. There are many other possibilities that could result in an IT disaster and disrupt business continuity. Businesses across the US experience these disasters daily. Examples can include something simple like the plumbing of your building floods the floors above your server room, taking out all of your servers. Or, a virus that wipes out all of your software and destroys your data. Fires totally destroy many businesses every day. And natural disasters like hurricanes Katrina and Sandy have each destroyed tens of thousands of businesses in one day. Cloud computing provides automatic data, application, and system backup, stored in multiple locations. With cloud computing, following the worst of natural disasters, your business can continue critical business processes. Cloud providers can offer preventive measures that most business owners cannot afford to implement themselves, because the cost is too high. SAS-70 or SSAE-16 enterprise grade data centers. With cloud computing, you get service level agreements (SLAs) that can provide a written guarantee that key components of your IT system will be back up and running within two hours of a disaster. If your company has been utilizing cloud based hosted PBX for telephone service during the normal course of operations, you and your employees can actually take your IP phones with you when evacuating for the disaster If your company uses virtual desktops, another great offering of cloud computing, you and your employees will have full functionality of the most recent Windows operating system, from any mobile device, at any evacuated location that has internet. With a good disaster recovery and continuity plan, your business will not need to experience significant down time while your permanent IT system is being restored. Retinal Detachment | Signs, Symptoms and Treatment
Welcome! I'm Randall Wong, M.D., a retina specialist in Fairfax, Virginia in the United States. Thank you for watching this video where I discuss retinal detachments. While there are two types of retinal detachments; traction retinal detachment and rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, I am only talking about the more common, rhegmatogenous retinal detachment - those caused by a retinal hole retinal tear. A retinal detachment is a potentially blinding condition and occurs when fluid gets underneath the retina through a retinal tear. Just as though you were to peel the wall paper off your walls, a retinal detachment can separate from the inner wall of your eye. Symptoms of retinal detachment include loss of peripheral vision (early) and may involve your central vision, new flashes and new floaters. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should alert your eye doctor immediately and follow his/her instructions. Suspected retinal detachments should be handled as an emergency. Your eye doctor should dilate your pupils and examine you for a retinal detachment, retinal hole and/or retinal tear. The best way to rule out a retinal detachment is by dilating your pupils and directly inspecting your retina. There are 3 ways to fix a retinal detachment: pneumatic retinopexy, scleral buckle and vitrectomy. Your eye doctor will have his or her own reasons for using a particular approach or technique. There is no substitute for surgery to repair a retinal detachment. Timing of surgery for repair of a retinal detachment should be based upon the integrity of your central vision. If the macula is NOT detached, your central vision should be unaffected. Every attempt should be made to fix a retinal detachment before the central vision is affected. If your central vision is already affected by the retinal detachment, then, in my opinion, the timing is slightly less crucial. Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy. Please feel free to leave a comment or ask questions, here or on www.RetinaEyeDoctor.com Randy Randall Wong, M.D. Retina Specialist

ACL Surgery Physiotherapy
Learn about rehabilitation post ACL reconstruction surgery. Our registered physiotherapists and orthopaedic surgeon provides you with a summary of the phases of rehab following your knee surgery. ACL rehab video transcript: My name is Adam Brown, I am an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and the CEO of Therapia. I’d to discuss your rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction surgery. So you have torn your ACL. At Therapia we have put this video together to help you navigate your recovery to help you to get the best possible outcome following your injury. The first question patients usually have is “Do I need surgery?”. And the answer is “maybe”. Not everyone who tears their ACL needs to have it repaired. Following a well-constructed rehab plan, many patients can return to all of their previous activities without having to undergo surgical repair. The question we need to ask is “Is the knee “functionally stable” enough to do all of the things you normally do without an ACL?” Functionally unstable knees will “give way” or “collapse” when you plant your foot and try to pivot or change direction. These instances of giving way may be present at first and then go away after your swelling goes down and your physiotherapist teaches you how to get your muscles properly supporting your knee. If your knee continues to “give way” even after the swelling is down and your muscles are working well – this is a good indication that you will need surgery. Each time a knee “gives way” it is a subluxation of the tibia on the femur and it can potentially damage your other cartilage as well as the menisci inside your knee. If you participate in sports, like soccer, that require “cutting” or rapid changes in direction, there is a higher likelihood you will need to have your ACL reconstructed in order to return to those sports. If you participate mainly in sports and activities that do not require “cutting” and after your initial rehabilitation phase your knee stops giving way, there is a good chance you will not require surgery. For more detailed information on the surgical reconstruction of an ACL please have a look at the great video by Dr. Jas Chahal entitled ACL Reconstruction Surgery. An ACL rupture is a significant injury and its reconstruction is quite invasive. You will need to commit yourself to a lengthy physical therapy process in order to come out the other side with a great knee. It takes about 1 year before patients begin to feel like the knee is “normal’ again and it takes 6 months of intense rehabilitation in order to return to sport. Your Physiotherapist will guide you through this process using established protocols and considering your own specific needs as well as your reponse to treatment. Weeks 1 - 2 Manage pain and swelling Gentle ROM exercises Stop crutches Return to work Over the first two weeks you will be managing pain and swelling, as well as beginning some gentle exercises to restore joint motion and muscle function. Most patients are able to stop using crutches and return to work or school within the first two weeks. This of course depends upon your specific job. Weeks 2 – 6 More aggressive physio for joint mobility Work on full knee extension Strengthen quads, hams, calves, hips, core Weeks 6 – 12 Muscular strength Muscular endurance Proprioception and balance Joint range of motion (if needed) Functional Exercises Over this time the focus will be on; • Muscular strength • Muscular endurance • Proprioception and balance • Joint Range of Motion (if not already full) • Functional exercises Your Physiotherapist will progress your program based on how your knee is responded to the increases in stress. It is critical at this time to progress exercises at the appropriate pace to avoid having the knee swell up creating a temporary setback. Weeks 12 – 24 Functional exercises Single leg Proprioception and balance Plyometrics Sport specific • Functional exercises (squats etc) • Single leg exercises • Proprioception and balance • Plyometric or power exercises • Sport specific exercises Return to sport stages Conditioning Conditioning + Drills Drills + Scrimmage Return to Competitio A good way to think about the stages of return to sport is; • Conditioning only • Conditioning and drills • Drills and scrimmage • Return to competition 5-10% tear ACL Strengthen core, hip, leg Consult your physiotherapist Between 5 and 10% of people who undergo an ACL reconstruction will tear their new ACL at some point. Ongoing strength training of the core, hip and leg muscles can help reduce your likelihood of re-injury and the future development of knee arthritis. It is important to have your Physiotherapist teach you these exercises before your rehab is complete. The Physiotherapists here at Therapia are always standing by to help guide you through the rehab process.

Link to download checklist: http://www.dpctechnology.com/hurricane-preparedness-checklist/ Link for Network Assessment: http://www.dpctechnology.com/backuptechtip/ John Rankin - Hurricane season is here. Storms are unpredictable and their impact can devastate not only the landscape, but also your practice. As a business, we understand the importance of communicating with clients throughout crisis mode. Failing to have a Backup and Disaster Recovery Plan (or BDR) in place can be costly. Hours or days of lost production and unrecoverable data can cause irreversible damage to your practice. How much would losing a couple days of production cost you? Can you practice afford to be down for days? If your data is important to your practice and you cannot afford to have your operations halted for days – even weeks – due to data loss or corruption, then take advantage of our 10 easy, but critical, steps that you need to incorporate into your office network before a natural disaster strikes. A disaster can happen at any time on any day and is likely to occur at the most inconvenient time. If you aren’t already prepared, you run the risk of having the disaster coming before you have a plan to handle it. Here’s our 10 Hurricane Disaster Planning Essentials for Your Practice: Number One – Have a written plan As simple as it may sound, just thinking through in ADVANCE what needs to happen if your server is destroyed by a flood or a hurricane wipes out your office, will go a long way in getting it back fast. At a minimum, the plan should contain details on what disaster could happen and a step-by-step process of what to do, who should do it and how. Every year, we provide our clients with a checklist of items to prepare for a hurricane evacuation. We’ve made a few updates to our checklist, so it’s important for you to download your 2018 Hurricane Preparedness Checklist and fill it out as soon as possible. Our Hurricane Preparedness Checklist includes emergency contact information, vendor lists, equipment inventories, insurance information, evacuation protocols and protocols or responsibilities for various lengths of downtime. Number 2 – Hire a trusted professional to help you Trying to recover your data after a disaster without professional help is one misstep during the recovery process can result in forever losing your data or result in weeks of downtime. Make sure you work with someone who has experience in both setting up business contingency plans (so you have a good framework from which you CAN restore your network) and experience in data recovery. If you are a Complete Care Client, we will help you fill out the documents and provide inventories of your equipment as part of your plan with us. Number 3 – Have a communications plan If something should happen where employees couldn’t access your office, e-mail or use the phones, how should they communicate with you? Make sure your plan includes this information including MULTIPLE communications methods. Number 4 – Automate Your Backups If backing up your data depends on a human being doing something, it’s flawed. The #1 cause of data loss is human error. This includes people not swapping out tapes properly, someone not setting up the backup to run properly, and so on. ALWAYS automate your backups so they run like clockwork. Number 5 – Have an offsite backup of your dataAlways, always, always maintain a recent copy of your data off site, on a different server, or on a storage device. Onsite backups are good, but they won’t help you if they get stolen, flooded, burned or hacked along with your server. Number 6 – Have remote access and management of your network Not only will this allow you and your staff to keep working if you can’t go into your office, but you’ll love the convenience it offers. Plus, your IT staff or an IT consultant should be able to access your network remotely in the event of an emergency or for routine maintenance. Make sure they can. Number 7 – Review Your Insurance Policies Now is a great time to reach out to your Insurance Agent to discuss your policy. Take inventory of your business equipment. Photograph and videotape items for verification and keep in a safe place. Read your insurance policy and know what is covered and what is not covered. If you purchased any new equipment, make sure it’s added to your policy. Review things such as wind and flood policies, and know your general/specific policy limits and deductibles. Number 8 – Network documentation Network documentation is simply a blueprint of the software, data, systems and hardware you have in your company’s network. Your IT manager or IT consultant should put this together for you. This will make the job of restoring your network faster, easier AND cheaper.

How to Recover Data After Resetting Windows 10, Resetting a Laptop to Factory Settings 📁🔥⚕️
👍 Watch how to recover data after resetting Windows 10, resetting a laptop to factory settings, or reinstalling Windows. Read: Data Recovery After Windows 10 & 8 System Restore - https://hetmanrecovery.com/recovery_news/restoring-data-after-system-reset-to-the-initial-state.htm. In one of the previous videos we have already shown you how to reset Windows 10, 8 or 7 to its original state of factory settings (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JDhsCmIdQQ). Often it takes users some time after resetting or reinstalling their operating system to realize that the files which they need right now are missing. So, here is a computer containing files, documents and images... In order to demonstrate data recovery after resetting the system, let us reset the test computer. In a similar way, you can recover user files after resetting a laptop to factory settings or reinstalling Windows. To do it: • Go to Settings • Update and Security • Recovery • Click on “Get started” in the submenu “Reset this PC.” • Select the option “Remove everything” in the window that appears. • “Just remove my files” • Next. • The system will be reset automatically. In the process, the computer will restart several times. It will take some time. • To complete the reset, some additional settings are required. They are similar to those used when reinstalling Windows. Watch one of the videos in our channel to see it; find the link in the description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3WKliYVERU • The system has been reset, and the files stored in this computer are lost. After reinstalling Windows or resetting a laptop to factory settings you will have the same situation. In order to restore files lost after system resetting, reinstalling Windows or resetting a laptop to factory settings do the following: • Download, install and launch Hetman Partition Recovery. To do it, go to the developer’s website and download it for free. Find the link in the description: https://hetmanrecovery.com/ru/hard_drive_recovery/software-3.htm • Scan the hard disk of your computer with the tools that this program offers. • Click on drive C, choose “Full analysis” and click Next. Remember that in Windows 8/10, the default location to save all documents and user files is the folder “Documents” which can be found in disk C:, images and photos go to “Pictures” folder, downloaded files to “Downloads” folder and desktop files to “Desktop” folder. You should start looking for lost user files in these directories. The paths to them will be given in the description for this video. The folder “Documents” is actually located in disk C: following this path: C:\Users\UserName\Documents “Pictures” folder: C:\Users\UserName\Pictures Files downloaded from the Internet go to this folder: C:\Users\UserName\Downloads Desktop files are stored here: C:\Users\ UserName \Desktop • When the process of scanning the hard disk is over, use the program to go to the folder with the files that you need to recover. Lost files can also be located in the program’s folder “Lost and Found” or “Content-Aware Analysis.” The folder “Lost and Found” contains the files and folders the location of which could not be determined. Make sure you check this directory if you can’t find the files in their original location. The program searches for deleted files not only from file tables but based on their contents as well. Using a complex analysis of the disk contents, the utility finds signatures that identify the beginning and end of a file. Files found in such manner are placed in the folder “Content-Aware Analysis” and sorted into folders by file type. • Drag the necessary files to the Recovery List and click “Recovery” • Choose the method to save files. I will choose “Save to hard disk.” I strongly recommend saving the recovered files to another disk or media to make sure they won’t be erased. That is why I choose disk E, and create a folder for the recovered files. OK. • Recovery. • Ready. • Go to the folder created on disk E to see the files have been recovered. In a similar way, you can use Hetman Partition Recovery to restore data after formatting the hard disk, operating system or hard disk failures, file system damage, recover data from damaged or inaccessible disk partitions, as well as after emptying the Recycle Bin or accidental deleting of files. How to treat acne scars- Dermatology Secrets revealed
https://www.instagram.com/drdavinlim/ More on acne scars & how to treat https://www.lasersandlifts.com.au Much more in-depth explanation on acne scar revision techniques and how to assess your acne scars Realself reviews: http://www.realself.com/find/Australi... Google + for up to date info. Posted daily. https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/1139391... Ultimate Guide early 2016 acne scars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQUM3Xxzm3Q The first step is to see if you have pigmentation issues -not really classed as acne scars, but this is controversial, or if you have contour changes. The best thing to do is to examine under tangential or angled lighting, as this will reveal all. Once this is done, scars can be subtyped and mapped, with high resolution photos. The second aspect, which is equally as important is to examine scars upon animanation, namely when you speak, smile and move your face. This will give me an idea of the amount of tethering and anchored acne scars. Time and time again I get request for ‘what is the treatment’ with static photos, an impossible task to answer correctly. Acne scar assessment has to be done live- with the patient in front of you, and lighting from all angles. Photos do not map scars as well a real time examination under magnification and lighting. I then select the best method to address our acne scar type. Once again it is the method of acne scar removal that will give the biggest change. Taking note of your skin colour, I devise a plan that may consist of - Ice pick scars are best treated with chemical peels such as TCA CROSS or punch excision Rolling scars are best treated with fractional lasers Fraxel, INFINI Microneedling, Dermarollers, skin needling and subscision Box car scars are best treated with laser resurfacing using a co2 or erbium laser such as Profractional Atrophic scars are best treated with fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Bellafill, or even fat transfer Most clinics will by default ‘prescribe’ a laser treatment such as Fraxel, fractional laser, or have an answer such as Derma Roller or microneedling. Whilst these treatments can give some results, they do not offer Gold Standard acne scar treatment solutions. A bespoke or individualised treatment approach is best, because it is your scars that are being treated and not just a device that is being used for ‘acne scarring.’ If you look at my acne scar before and afters you will notice one trend- everyone will have a mixture of scars and very rarely will a person have only one scar type. Most patients will present with a variety of scars, some patients will have more atrophic acne scarring, whilst others will have deep ice pick scars. Some patients will present with acne –pimples- zits and acne scars as well. The combinations are endless. So the very first step I do is to ask- what types of acne scars do you have? What gives me the most information is angled lighting. This is how you visualise scars, and it is the same method I use to find acne scars, map them out, and then treat them. Most patients notice their acne scars when lighting conditions changes, classic examples are when they are in the bathroom, or in a dimly lit room, or when light shines at a certain angle. It might be at night in the car, or the reflection of glass or a mirror. I use the same principles that patients see their scars to examine, identify and treat acne scarring. Any specialist who does scar revision to a high level would use angled lighting to determine scar types and if appropriate ask you to animate. Shining direct and bright surgical lighting reveals very little, but by dimming lights and shining light at different angles reveals a whole dimention of acne scarring. In many of my upcoming videos you will see me using newer techniques such as INFINI PRP with PRP mask occlusion, and various subsciion filler combination techniques. Thanks for watching, and remember to subscribe- one new video every Saturday morning Brisbane, Australia time. Dr Davin Lim Laser and aesthetic dermatologist BRISBANE, Australia.

Boeing B-29 Superfortress "Kee Bird" , "Frozen in Time" ! NOVA
Don't Forget To : Comment / Like / Share / Subscribe ThankYou ! This Channel does not Recieve Monetization for Anything ! B-29 Superforttress "Kee Bird" of the 46th Reconnaissance Squadron Transcripts: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/military/b29-frozen.html DVD: http://www.amazon.com/NOVA-B-29-Frozen-Darryl-Greenamyer/dp/B000HEWGYW http://www.boeing.com/history/products/b-29-superfortress.page The “Kee Bird” was a United States Army Air Forces B-29-95-BW Superfortress, 45-21768, of the 46th Reconnaissance Squadron, that became marooned after making an emergency landing in northwest Greenland during a secret Cold War spying mission on 21 February 1947. Although the entire crew was safely evacuated, after spending three days in the isolated Arctic tundra, the aircraft itself was left at the landing site. It lay there undisturbed until 1994, when a privately funded mission was launched to repair and return it. The attempted recovery resulted in the destruction and loss of the airframe by fire on the ground. The Boeing B-29 Superfortress is a four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber designed by Boeing and was flown primarily by the United States during World War II and the Korean War. It was one of the largest aircraft operational during World War II and very advanced for its time. It featured a pressurized cabin, all dual wheeled, tricycle landing gears, and a remote, electronic fire-control system that controlled four machine gun turrets. A manned tail gun installation was semi-remote. The name "Superfortress" continued the pattern Boeing started with its well-known predecessor, the B-17 Flying Fortress. Designed for high-altitude strategic bomber role, the B-29 also excelled in low-altitude nighttime incendiary bombing missions. One of the B-29's final roles during World War II was carrying out the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Due to the B-29's highly advanced design for its time, unlike many other World War II-era bombers, the Superfortress remained in service long after the war ended, with a few even being employed as flying television transmitters for the Stratovision company. The B-29 served in various roles throughout the 1950s. The Royal Air Force flew the B-29 as the Washington until phasing out the type in 1954. The Soviet Union produced an unlicensed reverse-engineered copy as the Tupolev Tu-4. The B-29 was the progenitor of a series of Boeing-built bombers, transports, tankers, reconnaissance aircraft and trainers including the B-50 Superfortress (the first aircraft to fly around the world non-stop) which was essentially a re-engined B-29. The type was finally retired in the early 1960s. The B-29 production total was 3,970 aircraft. Dozens of B-29s remain as static displays but only one example, Fifi, remains on flying status. As of 2015, another B-29 is being restored for flight. A transport developed from the B-29 was the Boeing C-97 Stratofreighter, first flown in 1944, followed by its commercial airliner variant, the Boeing Model 377 Stratocruiser in 1947. This bomber-to-airliner derivation was similar to the B-17/Model 307 evolution. In 1948 Boeing introduced a tanker variant of the B-29 as the KB-29, followed by the Model 377-derivative KC-97 introduced in 1950. A heavily modified line of outsized-cargo variants of the Stratocruiser is the Guppy / Mini Guppy / Super Guppy which remain in service today with operators such as NASA. Restoring Balance: Santa Cruz Island
Close to the mainland yet worlds apart, Santa Cruz Island is home to plants and animals that are found nowhere else on Earth. The introduction of of non-native, exotic plants and animals have caused the loss of some of these rare species and pushed many others, including the island fox, to the brink of extinction. In order to save these island species, as well as protect sacred Chumash Native American cultural sites, the National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy embarked upon a multi-year program to help restore balance to Santa Cruz Island’s naturally functioning ecosystems. This high-definition video documents the various aspects of this complex restoration program, including the removal of golden eagles, reintroduction of bald eagles, captive breeding island foxes, removal of sheep, and eradication of pigs. The Santa Cruz Island restoration program is part of the National Park Service mission, as mandated by Congress, to preserve unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the national park system for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.

RTO vs RPO in Data Back-Up and Disaster Recovery | Magnet Solutions Group
In this video we’re going to do one of our favorite things: explain confusing IT acronyms! Today, we’re talking about RTO and RPO. RTO stands for Recovery Time Objective. RPO stands for Recovery Point Objective. Both are key parameters for businesses when formulating their data back-up and disaster recovery plans. Both are calculated in time. They are measures of what is the maximum acceptable amount of time down and maximum acceptable amount of data lost in a disaster. RTO is the amount of time you’ve set for your network to recover from a disaster and be operational again. This will vary for different businesses. Some businesses can accept being down for a week, while others need to be operational again within the hour. How critical it is for your network to be back up quickly will dictate how short your RTO is. Generally speaking, shorter RTOs require greater financial investments. RPO is the maximum amount of data you’re willing to lose. It’s calculated in time as well because it’s directly related to how frequently you’re backing up your data. So, if your data is backed up every morning at 2 am and you have a disaster at ten pm, you’ll have lost 20 hours of data possibly. Is this acceptable? Again, it depends on the business. Backing up data more frequently generally requires a greater financial investment. http://MagnetSolutionsGroup.com

FEMA Accessible: Federal Emergency Management Agency's National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF)
Closed captioning is available in English, Chinese, German, Hindi, Italian, Khmer, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese. [Transcript:] During and after a disaster, the affected communities try to figure out how to recover and rebuild to a new normal. They also work on mitigation solutions to reduce the risk of damage from the next disaster. The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF) is scalable and flexible guidance on how the whole community can build, sustain, and coordinate delivery of recovery capabilities. The focus of the NDRF is to help prepare the community to recover, regardless of the size of the disaster, and encourages an inclusive recovery process which brings together traditional and nontraditional whole community partners to lead, manage, coordinate and participate in recovery efforts while increasing the community’s resilience. An important focus of the framework is that the community leads their recovery process and they have a realistic, well-planned, and a clearly communicated plan for a successful recovery. The framework explains how whole community partners – emergency managers, government agencies, private sector, nongovernmental organizations, and the public – collaborate and coordinate the best recovery and resiliency plan that fits the community’s need. The state and federal government play important roles as supporting partners, providing the community with resources and the support they need. It is important that the recovery plan and process includes the whole community. This includes people with disabilities and others with access and functional needs, as they are a part of the whole community and they can offer knowledge and expertise on what they need to recover and how the community can better help prepare for next disaster. A successful recovery requires flexibility, a unified and coordinated effort from the community, commitment to completing projects on time, understanding, and addressing various challenges and needs the community has. Each community’s recovery plan will be different and is based on the circumstances of the disaster’s impact on the community, the obstacles they may face, how they design their plan, and what their priorities are for recovery. The National Disaster Recovery Framework has six Recovery Support Functions (RSF) that are led by designated coordinating federal agencies that work with other primary agencies and supporting organizations whose programs may apply to a specific support function. The Recovery Support Functions are Natural & Cultural Resources, Housing, Economic, Infrastructure Systems, Health and Social Services, and Community Planning and Capacity Building. The Natural & Cultural Resources Recovery Support Function is led by the Department of Interior, and supports the protection of natural and cultural resources and historic properties in the community. The Housing Recovery Support Function is led by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and coordinates housing solutions that are affordable and accessible to the whole community, including people with disabilities and others with access and functional needs. The Economic Recovery Support Function is led by the Department of Commerce, and works with the local community, state, tribal and federal governments, and the private sector to rebuild the local economy. The Infrastructure Systems Recovery Support Function is led by the US Army Corps of Engineers, and works with the community to restore their infrastructure systems and develop a stronger mitigation plan to protect them from future disasters. The Health and Social Services Recovery Support Function is led by the Department of Health and Human Services, and addresses the community’s public health, health care facilities, and important social services needs. The Community Planning and Capacity Building Recovery Support Function is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and engages the community in their recovery planning and capacity to implement and manage their recovery plans. This function builds short-term and long-term community resilience, and empowers the local community leaders and members to make decisions on how to improve recovery outcomes for the whole community. As the NDRF is flexible and adjustable, the community is able to modify its recovery plan to fit their needs. Each part is an important piece in helping you and your community recover from a disaster and be better prepared for the next disaster. The recovery process will be a long and challenging one, but when all of these different parts of the framework work together as a team, they can help reduce the challenges and length of your recovery. For more information about your community’s recovery plans, contact your local emergency manager and learn more about how you can prepare, participate and best support your community.

SQL AlwaysOn High Availability Group - Part 3 - step by step
SQL AlwaysOn High Availability Group video 3: (SQL Server) Database replica Servers configuration with Primary and Secondary Database servers. Replicaton of 3 databases has been shared in this video. ----------------------------Details about AOHA groups---------------------- The AlwaysOn Availability Groups feature is a high-availability and disaster-recovery solution that provides an enterprise-level alternative to database mirroring. Introduced in SQL Server 2012, AlwaysOn Availability Groups maximizes the availability of a set of user databases for an enterprise. An availability group supports a failover environment for a discrete set of user databases, known as availability databases, that fail over together. An availability group supports a set of read-write primary databases and one to four sets of corresponding secondary databases. Optionally, secondary databases can be made available for read-only access and/or some backup operations. An availability group fails over at the level of an availability replica. Failovers are not caused by database issues such as a database becoming suspect due to a loss of a data file, deletion of a database, or corruption of a transaction log. In this Topic: • Benefits • Terms and Definitions • Interoperability and Coexistence with Other Database Engine Features • Related Tasks • Related Content Benefits AlwaysOn Availability Groups provides a rich set of options that improve database availability and that enable improved resource use. The key components are as follows: Supports up to five availability replicas. An availability replica is an instantiation of an availability group that is hosted by a specific instance of SQL Server and maintains a local copy of each availability database that belongs to the availability group. Each availability group supports one primary replica and up to four secondary replicas. For more information, see Overview of AlwaysOn Availability Groups (SQL Server). Important Each availability replica must reside on a different node of a single Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) cluster. For more information about prerequisites, restrictions, and recommendations for availability groups, see Prerequisites, Restrictions, and Recommendations for AlwaysOn Availability Groups (SQL Server).

Reconstruction and 1876: Crash Course US History #22
In which John Green teaches you about Reconstruction. After the divisive, destructive Civil War, Abraham Lincoln had a plan to reconcile the country and make it whole again. Then he got shot, Andrew Johnson took over, and the disagreements between Johnson and Congress ensured that Reconstruction would fail. The election of 1876 made the whole thing even more of a mess, and the country called it off, leaving the nation still very divided. John will talk about the gains made by African-Americans in the years after the Civil War, and how they lost those gains almost immediately when Reconstruction stopped. You'll learn about the Freedman's Bureau, the 14th and 15th amendments, and the disastrous election of 1876. John will explore the goals of Reconstruction, the successes and ultimate failure, and why his alma mater Kenyon College is better than Raoul's alma mater NYU.
