Find out what do your total cholesterol numbers mean. Discover why Dr. Sam Robbins, recommends CholesLo ™ as the solution for lowering your cholesterol with less effort and time. 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/CholesterolLevels-CholesLo ********************* What Is A Normal Cholesterol Level? *************************** Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that is naturally present in cell walls or membranes everywhere in the body. Your body uses cholesterol to produce many hormones, as well as one of the most important vitamins in the body – Vitamin D. High cholesterol in your bloodstream can lead to narrowing of the arteries, which can cause a heart attack or stroke. Your goal is to have “healthy” cholesterol levels – not too high or too low. Your goal should be to keep cholesterol level below 140 mg/dL. What do your total cholesterol numbers mean? Your total blood cholesterol is measure of LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and other lipid components. It is a combination of numerous numbers and this is why most people just focus on this number for simplicity reasons. Improving your cholesterol levels is very important but it is just one factor out of many, when it comes to preventing and reversing heart disease. You also need to improve your HDL/LDL ratios, triglycerides, homocysteine and other lipid levels. Managing your lipid profiles is probably one of the most important aspects to health, longevity, and disease prevention. Making dramatic life-style changes — such as eating much better, eliminating many different foods and exercising daily — is very important but for many people can be difficult to start and it takes a longer time to see results. Do you know how to start easier and get faster results? CholesLo ™ contains ingredients that have been scientifically research and clinically tested to help support healthy cholesterol levels. What's the DASH Diet and Why Doctors Call It the Best Diet

09:04
How to lose belly fat? How to lose weight fast without exercises? Doctors say that this diet is the most effective way to improve your overall condition. According to the National Institute of Health, it scored a 3.3 out of 5 in the “Weight Loss Effectiveness” category and 4.5 out of 5 in “Health Usefulness”. Out of 40 diets evaluated, it was chosen number one! So who is this all-star? It’s something called the DASH diet. The DASH diet is an easy, safe, and useful plan that can help you feel better and get rid of excess weight. You can lose weight gradually, no starving or yo-yo dieting. It won’t shock or stress your body out. DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. It’s a diet developed specifically to reduce blood pressure in those with hypertension. But scientists understood later on that this diet resolves tons of other health issues. It reduces cholesterol, prevents stroke and heart failure, and brings the weight down to a healthy level, even for those with obesity. Plus, it’s considered the best diet to prevent diabetes. Besides controlling blood pressure, people following it managed to improve insulin resistance. TIMESTAMPS What's it all about? 1:23 A few general rules to lose weight 2:15 What you can eat to lose fat 3:37 What food you should avoid for losing weight 5:13 How to plan your diet 5:44 Weight loss benefits 6:18 Is it easy to follow the DASH eating plan? 7:17 SUMMARY The DASH diet wasn't originally designed for weight loss, but there have been some studies proving that this eating plan can help people get rid of unwanted pounds. The DASH diet balances all the necessary nutrients and minerals, like calcium, potassium, protein, and fiber, that are responsible for brain and overall organ function. It improves the condition of your hair and skin as well. What’s convenient about this diet is that you don't have to calculate and monitor each nutrient: you just need to reduce your salt intake and eat certain recommended foods, for instance, fruits, vegetables, grains, protein-rich foods, and dairy products. Compared to trendy crash diets, DASH is different. This is a complete lifestyle change. It’s for people who need to take care of their eating habits throughout their lives. There’s no cutting out or starving involved. You can have all sorts of tasty dishes. Have you ever tried the DASH diet? If so, how did you like it? Tell us in the comments below. What BMI doesn't tell you about your health

05:00
The way we define obesity is flawed. Read more about Body Mass Index's flaws on Vox.com: http://bit.ly/2nxeQ2U The body mass index, better known as BMI, is a measure of obesity that has been in use for over 200 years. It was a formula created by Belgian mathematician Adolphe Quetelet. It takes your weight (sorry my fellow Americans, everyone else is on the metric system) in kilograms divides and divides it by height in meters squared. And from this you get a number that represent your total body mass relative to your height and weight. The ranges go from underweight to obese, and one decimal point can tip you in either direction. BMI has been used to study obesity in large populations, and for the most part it’s okay for those types of studies. However, when individual health is the topic at hand, using the body mass index can make judging a person’s health a little bit trickier. See the state of obesity in your area: https://stateofobesity.org/adult-obesity/ CDC’s BMI considerations for practitioners: https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/downloads/bmiforpactitioners.pdf And to check Marshawn Lynchs stats visit: https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/marshawn-lynch/ http://www.nfl.com/player/marshawnlynch/2495663/combine Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO Vox.com is a news website that helps you cut through the noise and understand what's really driving the events in the headlines. The Ideal Diet for Humans | Galit Goldfarb | TEDxWilmington

16:22
Galit Goldfarb begins with her own story -- becoming bulimic as a teen, and determining to learn all she could about science and nutrition in college, and yet still not achieving health. She studied medical science, opening a clinic after her return. But everyone she treated felt better only in the short-term. She was also diagnosed with cancer. She began to learn all about human health, reading from all the scientific fields until she was able to understand the answer: the guerilla diet (food choices that fight back against everything she had learned!). Goldfarb takes us through ancient human history, demonstrating evidence of the earliest humans' health and diet (living into their 70s and eating plants, nuts, fruits, and legumes) and how humans moved shortsightedly away from that diet. Cancer free (without radiation), her final argument is simple -- while an "omnivore" diet may in the short term taste better, in the long term, it is unhealthy, not only for us but for our planet. Galit Goldfarb has worked within the health field for over 22 years. While working in different research laboratories and with many private clients, Galit has written eight books in the fields of health and personal development, including #1 International Bestseller “The Guerrilla Diet & Lifestyle Program” based on her in-depth research into the ideal diet for humans. Galit is a Professional member of the American Nutrition Association, and the American Society for Nutrition, and holds a BSc (honours) in Biochemistry and Nutrition, an MSc in Medical Science with Distinction, and studied Immunology for a Post Graduate Certificate. Galit is currently doing her PhD in Nutrition. Galit offers workshops, speaking engagements, online programs and coaching to help people achieve optimal health. The Controversy of Optimal Cholesterol Levels

01:29:20
Depending on age, gender, and even where you get your lab tests done, optimal value ranges for blood test markers tend to vary from source to source. In reality, it is often a mixture of factors that dictate what values are appropriate for you. This discussion between Michael Lustgarten and I will cover the highly varied and controversial ranges of cholesterol optimal values.

What is the best diet for humans? | Eran Segal | TEDxRuppin

19:13
Prof. Eran Segal presented conclusions from the research on the TEDxRuppin stage and made us question common dietary beliefs. For additional information see http://genie.weizmann.ac.il New research led by Prof. Eran Segals and Dr. Elinavs research unit indicates a drastic change in blood sugar levels between two individuals on identical diets - this may explain why some struggle to lose weight while others, on the same diet, stay lean and fit. The scientists even developed an algorithm that can calculate ones blood level based on his or her biology and lifestyle. 13 Health Benefits of Cucumber You Must Know

04:43
Cucumbers are the fourth most cultivated vegetable in the world and known to be one of the best foods for your body's overall health. They are frequently referred to as a superfood. Cucumbers are often sprayed with pesticides so it is important to buy organic or even better, grow them yourself. Here are 13 Benefits of cucumbers 1 healthy weight management Cucumbers are extremely low in calories, but extremely high in nutrients, so they make a great healthy snack. When cucumbers are digesting they dissolve into a gel-like texture which helps to slow down digestion, helping you feel full for longer. This is why fibre rich foods are great for weight management. 2. Skin and hair care – If you don't like to eat the skin of the cucumber, it can be used for skin irritations and sunburns as aloe Vera would be used. Place a slice over puffy eyes and its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce puffiness. Cucumber juice can also be used as a hair rinse to get silky and shiny hair. Why Does It Work- It conditions the hair owing to the presence of silica and makes it more beautiful 3 Get Fresh breath If your breath is no that fresh, you can freshen it up by placing a slice of cucumber on the roof of your mouth. This will help rid your mouth of odour-causing bacteria. 4 Cancer risk reduction Cucumbers contain polyphenols which can help lower your risk of various cancers such as breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate. (4) They also contain phytonutrients which also have anti-cancer properties! 5 Stress buster Cucumbers contain an assortment of B vitamins including vitamin B1, B5, and B7. B vitamins are known to help ease Anxiety and reduce the damaging effects of stress. 7. Hangover cure – To avoid a morning hangover or headache; eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish many essential nutrients, reducing the intensity of both hangover and headache. 8 Anti-oxidant properties Cucumbers are loaded with antioxidants, including vitamin C and beta-carotene. They also contain antioxidant flavonoids. One of these is Quercetin is an antioxidant that has been shown to prevent histamine release, making it a natural antihistamine. Another one Kaempferol can help fight cancer and lower your risk of heart disease. _________________________________________________________________________ 9 Reduce inflammation Cucumbers can literally help “cool” the inflammatory response system in your body. Some studies conducted on animals found that cucumber extract helps to reduce unwanted inflammation partially by inhibiting activity or pro-inflammatory enzymes. 10 Brain protection Cucumbers contain an anti-inflammatory flavonal called fistein that has been shown to play a crucial role in promoting brain health. It is known to improve memory and even protect your nerve cells from declining due to aging, and fisetin has also been found to prevent learning and memory impairments in mice with Alzheimer’s disease. 11Digestive help Cucumbers are loaded with fibre and water, two of the most essential elements that are needed for optimal digestive health. Also Cucumbers may help to raise the stomach pH, which can assist with symptoms of acid reflux. 12. Helps diabetes, Reduces cholesterol and controls blood pressure - Cucumber juice contains a hormone which is needed by the cells of the pancreas for producing insulin which has been found to be beneficial to diabetic patients. 13 benefits the blood Researchers found that a compound called sterols in cucumbers may help reduce cholesterol levels. Cucumbers contain a lot of potassium, magnesium and fibre. These work effectively for regulating blood pressure. This makes cucumbers good for treating both low blood pressure and high blood pressure.

Ketosis: What is the Best Ketone Range for Fat Loss- Thomas DeLauer

Click Here to Subscribe: http://Bit.ly/ThomasVid Website: http://ThomasDeLauer.com Ketosis: What is the Best Ketone Range for Fat Loss- Thomas DeLauer… Ketone Ranges Overview: -Below 0.5 mmol/L is not considered ketosis -Between 0.5-1.5 mmol/L is light nutritional ketosis -Around 1.5 – 3 mmol/L is optimal ketosis and is ideal for fat loss -Over 3 mmol/L do not mean better or worse results than being at the 1.5-3 level -Between 0.5 & 3 mmol/L **Nutritional Ketosis = 1.5-3 mmol/L, which is the optimal range for fat burning** -Ketones in the 1-3 mmol/l range are not acidifying the body -Over 3 mmol/L Ketoacidosis: Because ketones are acid substances, high ketone concentrations in the blood may create acidosis. Ketoacidosis, commonly referred to diabetic ketoacidosis, is a very dangerous state where an individual with uncontrolled diabetes is effectively starving due to lack of insulin. In normal individuals, or those with well controlled diabetes, insulin acts to cancel the feedback loop and slow and stop the overproduction of ketones (insulin has a suppressant effect on ketone production.) Without this feedback loop, dangerous levels of ketones build up, acidifying the body. The levels can build up to a state that is highly toxic. If someone is in this state, they are usually accompanied with excessive thirst and urination, hyperglycemia, pain, nausea, and deep, labored, gasping breathing (2) References: 1) Pmhdev. (n.d.). Ideally, the body’s pH levels should sit around 7.35 to 7.45 in order to function properly. Unfortunately, the majority of people consume a highly processed diet that is high in sugar. This causes the body’s pH to become acidic. Therefore, most of the people walking around today have pH levels that are not stabilized and are acidic. Luckily, the pH in the human body can be restored. Today’s video will discuss ten powerful foods that are consumed on the alkaline diet and can improve one’s health. 1. Spinach Spinach is a powerful vegetable that has many health characteristics, including its alkaline effects. This is largely due to it’s high content of chlorophyll, which causes the spinach to be an alkalizing agent to the body and restore the pH level back to its ideal. 2. Lemons This may be surprising, as lemons are often seen as an acidic fruit. However, they are actually high in alkaline properties. This is because once the citric acid in lemons are metabolized, they provide an alkaline effect on the body. They help to cleanse and detox the body, using essential minerals like calcium and iron. 3. Kale Kale is another powerful green that should be added to a daily diet. It has the ability to stabilize the body’s pH levels, while providing detoxification and antioxidant properties. Kale contains Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Magnesium, Calcium, Copper, Potassium, Iron, Protein, Phosphorus and Manganese. 4. Avocados Avocados are another one of those foods that are packed with essential vitamins and minerals that help to flush out harmful toxins from the body and help to restore the body’s pH level to its optimum level. By doing so, avocados help the cardiovascular system, the immune system, the circulatory system and the digestive system. 5. Wheatgrass Wheatgrass also helps to detoxify the body. In doing so, it also helps to protect the liver from harmful toxins. Since it contains essential vitamins and minerals, along with ridding the body of toxins that weigh it down, wheatgrass helps to boost energy, lose weight, stabilize blood sugar and fight cancerous cells. 6. Celery Celery is a healthful food that is not given the credit it is deserved. Celery is normally found on every diet’s menu. This is largely because celery is a diuretic, as it helps the body to get rid of any excess fluids. Celery can also neutralize the acid in the body and bring the pH level back to a slightly alkaline level. 7. Broccoli Broccoli is one of the most important foods to eat in order to maintain an alkalized pH levels. That is because broccoli contains phytochemicals that alkalize the body, reduce estrogen dominance and increase estrogen metabolism. Broccoli also contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. 8. Cucumbers Cucumbers are another food that have a high water content and help to flush out harmful toxins from the body. They can help to restore the pH level of the body by neutralizing the acids. They also help to reduce any inflammation within the body. 9. Bell Peppers One highly underestimated food is the bell pepper. Not only can the bell pepper help to neutralize the acid in the body and raise the pH level to alkaline, but it can help to reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, and fight cancer. 10. Garlic Like many contained in this list, garlic has so many healthy characteristics that go far beyond restoring the pH level in the body. Garlic helps to support the body’s overall health. It contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Calcium, Copper, Selenium and Manganese. It acts as an antibacterial food, an antiviral food, an antioxidant food, and an anti-fungal food. 15 Mistakes That Shorten the Life of Your Phone

09:07
How to charge the battery correctly? Why do the phone batteries decrease so quickly? We have 15 amazing tips that will make your smartphone live a longer life! Nowadays one can hardly imagine life without a cell phone. And it happens quite often that our gadgets start to act up just half a year after we bought them. It is frustrating, but in most cases, we ourselves are to blame! Let’s face it — we don’t always handle our devices properly. TIMESTAMPS Recharge your battery more often 0:45 Don’t keep the battery charging all the time 1:24 Don’t buy cheap chargers 2:01 Be careful with «ultrafast» chargers 2:28 Remove your protective case 2:49 Drain your battery from time to time 3:10 Avoid high temperatures 3:29 Avoid cold temperatures 4:02 Avoid bright wallpaper and adjust screen brightness 4:34 Watch out for voltage fluctuations 5:19 Clean the ports and wipe the display 5:45 Keep the phone far from water 6:40 Handle your phone carefully 7:15 Avoid software updates 7:42 Use cloud storage 8:29 SUMMARY - To increase your gadget’s battery life, you should recharge it more often. The best option is to do it each time the battery power indicator drops to 10-20%. This will increase the number of discharge cycles up to 1000-1100 cycles. - An inbuilt controller stops the battery from taking more current than necessary, so there is absolutely no risk of overcharging the battery and destroying it. - There have been situations when a person was using a non-native charger, and it caused a fire in the house! And another terrible thing that can happen if you use non-native chargers and cables is getting an electric shock. - We recommend you to avoid using chargers that claim to charge your battery fully in less than an hour. - If your smartphone has a bulky protective case, it might cause the device and its battery to overheat during a lengthy recharging session. - It is recommended to discharge your phone’s battery every three months to 0% and then immediately charge it to 100% to get rid of the extremes of full charge/discharge. - A high temperature is the worst thing you can imagine for lithium-ion batteries: they totally can’t stand overheating. - Carry the phone in an inner pocket of your coat or an outer pocket but encased in a protective covering. Low temperatures are harmful to the battery because it needs more power to keep itself warm enough to function. - Try to lower the brightness of your screen at least by 30-40%. - At the approach of a thunderstorm, never charge your phone. Actually, the same goes for all the electrical appliances you have. - To wipe the screen, use lint-free wipers and whatever you do, never use window cleaning liquids. They contain ammonia which can damage the screen irrevocably. - If you drop your cell phone into a pool or a sink, the first thing you should do after you get it out is turn it off and remove the battery (if it’s possible, of course). - Don’t put your cell phone on the dashboard when driving. Constant moving and bumping can cause a lot of damage. - Read user reviews before you hit the update button. The problem with such updates is that it’s either very hard or impossible to go back to the previous version of the software. - Even if you have a lot of free space on your hard drive, it’s better to use cloud storage anyway. This way your phone won’t be clogged with too much data so that it will perform much better. My 7 Year Vegan Blood Test Results: Shocking B12 & Protein

After following a strict vegan diet for seven years - no meat, dairy, or eggs - paleo gurus and low carb bloggers say long term vegans like me are always deficient in vitamins B12 and D, and of course protein: gotta eat that grass fed beef. ♂ 4 Clinically Proven Ways To Increase Your Testosterone Levels, Naturally

07:32
My favorite, clinically proven formula for naturally increasing your testosterone and sex drive: ►►http://drsam.co/yt/MoreTestosterone Or you can look at this complete A to Z video about testosterone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wAaxL3UMuY #testosterone, #erectiledysfunction =============================================== 4 Clinically Proven Ways To Increase Your Testosterone Levels, Naturally =============================================== Healthy testosterone levels is important for optimal health, bone density, positive mood, sex drive, maximum muscle and strength, and also disease and cancer prevention for BOTH sexes. The good news is that many people, including doctors are aware of the numerous benefits of optimal testosterone levels. Unfortunately, many people are looking for a quick fix with “exogenous” (outside) testosterone -- such as injections, creams and pills. Unfortunately, when you add testosterone into your body, it has many negative side-effects if it’s not managed properly. It can actually cause the OPPOSITE effects over time. Doing it naturally is much better because you won’t have the negative effects and you’ll easily be able to maintain all the benefits long-term. Besides, even if you wanted to take exogenous testosterone (injections, creams, pills, etc.), utilizing today’s “natural” methods will only ENHANCE the positive effects and give you even more benefits. Diet What you eat, is just as important as what you DON’T eat. Food controls your hormones. PROTEIN About 25-35% of your protein source should be from fish, eggs and free range, grass fed bison/buffalo. All the other sources, even the “free range” chicken and cow/beef, still have lots of negative hormones -- despite what the government or “label” tells you. Make sure you also have WHOLE eggs daily because the cholesterol is needed to produce testosterone and other sex hormones. Just make sure it’s free range eggs. CARBS Have about 40-50% of your diet from healthy carbohydrates -- vegetables, fruits, lentils, yams, quinoa, and some white rice is fine in small amounts. FATS Make sure you have some healthy fats, about 25-30% of your diet. It helps produce many of your sex hormones, including testosterone. Most people eat the WRONG forms of fats, which can lower testosterone.13,14,15 Good fats are RAW coconut oil, macadamia oil, hemp oil, avocado, raw nuts/seeds and egg yolks. Exercise The RIGHT type of exercise can have dramatic effects on your hormones -- positive OR negative. Lifting heavy weights (6-10 repetitions) increases testosterone. You only need 3-4x weekly because too often will do the opposite because it’ll increase your stress hormone, Cortisol. Eliminate intense cardio such as running because it lowers testosterone and increases Cortisol, your stress hormone. Life-Style Lifestyle changes has to do more with stress management and rest. Sleep is very important. Most of us don’t get enough. So try to get to bed earlier. Squeeze in a little nap in the day as well if you can. This means negative thoughts, information, media … as well as negative people. You can’t eliminate it, but you can certainly REDUCE some of the negatives in your life. Supplements -- Natural Herbs & Vitamins Most of us are deficient in numerous herbs, vitamins and minerals. In fact, it’s estimated that we would need to eat at least 27,575 calories daily to get all the nutrients our bodies need. Because of this, I HIGHLY suggest you take specific herbs, vitamins and minerals to help boost your testosterone levels naturally, from within. Not only will your libido and sex drive increase, but you’ll feel younger, have more energy, increase your muscle mass and lose belly fat because of the naturally higher testosterone levels. And because this all happens naturally from WITHIN your own body, it’s safe for long-term use. Some of most effective and clinically proven herbal remedies boosting your testosterone are: Testofen® Fenugreek Extract (Trigonella foenum-graecum; 50% fenusides, 50% Saponins) Avena Sativa Extract (Oat Straw 100:1) Tongkat Ali Extract (Eurycoma Longifolia Jack 100:1) Maca Root (6% Extract) Bulgarian Pro-Tribulus™ Terrestris Extract (90% Sapongenins + 40% protodioscin) Stinging Nettle (95% Extract) (Urtica Dioica) L-Arginine Zinc + Copper Click here for a proven, 100% natural solution: ►http://drsam.co/yt/MoreTestosterone Or you can watch other videos related to erectile dysfunction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_z5fqph5YU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGfazrFHi70 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT8_UoaqTC4 ========= Thank you for watching. How to Experience Good Health? - Sadhguru at Duke University with Tracy Gaudet

During an episode of "In Conversation With The Mystic" at Duke University Medical School, Sadhguru, with Dr.Tracy Gaudet and Dr. Mitchell W. Krucoff, looks at how we can create health and wellbeing for ourselves. Sadhguru highlights the role of the 4 elements - air, water, earth and fire - and their importance in experiencing good health and a stress-free life. Full Transcript: Tracey: And so the title of this conversation… the subtitle of conversation with the mystic… Sadhguru: That’s only for you. I am not conversing with a mystic, so I am at ease. (Laughter) Tracey: ___ (Unclear) got it. I know and I have many questions you know. Sadhguru said, ‘I have never seen someone with so many questions.’ He said, ‘No answers, only questions.’ I think that the… the subtext which I actually am talking about because I liked it, is an experiential… for today, an experiential symposium on optimal health and well-being. And I think there is a tremendous amount for us to talk about even in that phrase. One is the role of experience and… and I will say that, you know, my office being responsible for cultural transformation, I’ve become obsessed with what is culture and the definition that I use because it guides our strategies. is behavior. This definition was given to me by Erma Rosenberger is behavior either collective or individual behavior based in experience and in sentence; meaning that if we are going to transform or shift what medical… the medical model is today and what healthcare is today, we can’t start with just the data, if people do not have an inner experience, not much will change. Do you… can you say some about what do you think the role of experience is in today and… and in healthcare and for us? 4 Popular Diet Tips - YOU SHOULD NEVER FOLLOW!!

08:04
Get a step by step diet plan that will get you ripped year round here… http://athleanx.com/x/diet-plan-for-ripped-muscle Everywhere you turn, people give out diet tips and advice for how to lose fat or build muscle fast. The problem is, most of that advice is terrible and will not help you to get to your goal any faster. As a matter of fact, many popular diet tips will do exactly the opposite of what they are supposed to be helping you to do. In this video, I cover four of the most popular diet and meal plan tips that need to be buried right here and now. Right off the bat, some will have you believe that eating fat makes you fat. That can’t be further from the truth. Eating fat, COULD make you fat if you eat in excess of your daily caloric maintenance levels just as eating too many carbs and protein can as well. The simple act of eating a fat molecule will not cause it to be stored as body fat in your body. In fact, nutritional fats are a necessary part of a healthy diet plan, with fat making up a portion of the surrounding layer of nearly every cell in your body. Next diet myth that needs to die is the concept that eating after 6PM at night is somehow going to make you fat. Again, it comes down to where you are at in your daily caloric intake in relation to your maintenance levels. If you are 800 calories below your daily caloric maintenance intake, eating these calories at 7 or 8 or even 10PM is not going to adversely affect you in your pursuit of getting a ripped six pack. The fact of the matter is, you are still at or below your level to maintain your current level of body fat and simply shifting the time at which you consume these calories does not change their thermal effect. That said, eating your meals too infrequently throughout the day can wreak havoc on your blood sugar levels. Having wildly unstable levels of blood sugar can lead to severe alterations in mood, focus and most importantly cravings. When you allow your cravings to build too significantly, you often find yourself in a position where you will grab foods that don’t align themselves with your healthy eating approach needed to get ripped and stay ripped as you build muscle. The next popular eating and diet tip that is dispensed all too often these days is the concept that you cannot build muscle if you are following a vegan or vegetarian meal plan. Why? There are plenty of protein options available to those following a meat and dairy free meal plan including quinoa, chick peas, and even pea protein powders that enable vegans to get adequate protein without having to follow a meat based eating plan. The total amount of protein needed to build new muscle is still a hotly debated topic however it has been shown to vary from individual to individual and could be far less than what you may have been told previously. Finally, there is a mistaken belief by some that taking supplements and fat burners will get you ripped. That is simply not the case if you refuse to also take your daily diet plan seriously. If you think that you can eat like garbage the whole day and simply pop a supplement and get lean, ripped abs you are wrong. That said, someone that is committed to eating healthy and then supplements their diet plan with workout and nutrition supplements is often able to get much faster results than those that don’t. A lot of the success of workout supplements has to do with their ability to help you remain consistent with your nutrition plan and stay accountable to it. Starting your day with a supplement that you are financially invested in will help you to be emotionally invested in the goals you set forth for getting ripped and muscular that you set when you initially purchased the supplement. The consistency that supplements provide in helping you to get in high quality nutrition in a portable and easy to prepare way is likewise priceless. As you can see, there are many workout and nutrition or diet myths that are popular and preventing you from getting abs and building muscle. If you want to follow a step by step diet plan for building muscle and getting ripped at the same time, head to http://athleanx.com and get the ATHLEAN-X Training System. What Will Happen to Your Body If You Walk Every Day

10:09
Walking is a totally free, easy exercise that requires little effort, and benefits not only your physical but also your mental well-being. If you’re looking for a simple yet very effective way of losing weight and improving your overall health, walking is something just for you. People who are physically active throughout their life are much less prone to this disease than those who have a more sedentary lifestyle. And that’s because they have more volume in their hippocampus, the part of the brain responsible for verbal memory and learning. A daily half-hour walk helps avoid serious problems, like coronary heart disease to name one, by lowering high blood pressure and cholesterol levels and improving blood circulation. Because of better-quality and deeper breathing, some symptoms associated with lung disease can show significant improvement thanks to walking. Muscle tone and weight loss is also totally achievable through simple walking. Find your optimal pace, but don’t break out into a jog. This sort of speed walking is low impact and doesn’t require any recovery time, which means no sore muscles to keep you from getting out and walking the next day. The Arthritis Foundation recommends at least 30 minutes of moderate walking a day to reduce pain, stiffness, and inflammation in the joints. Building strong bones will help you prevent osteoporosis and reduce bone loss. Walking contributes to better blood circulation within the spinal structures, pumping important nutrients into the soft tissues and improving posture and flexibility, both of which are vital for a healthy spine. A group of researchers at Iowa State University worked with hundreds of college students. Walking changed their mood for the better, even though no one warned them it could do so. If you still don’t feel motivated enough to start walking for your health, try joining a class or find a buddy who also wouldn’t mind getting all the benefits of walking. Another idea could be to hire a personal trainer. Eat 1 Spoon Of Raw Honey Every Morning, THIS Will Happen To Your Body!

04:06
Follow us on Twitter: @foods4health1 Recipes4Health: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2bZhXBHIb51n1fE3VWPmcQ/videos To learn more about the health benefits of food, visit: http://www.benefitsoffood.blogspot.com Honey offers a wide range of health benefits for those who consume it, especially in its raw form. Unfortunately, most honey eaten today is processed honey, which has been filtered and heated after being collected. Raw honey is different from this processed kind. It is a unfiltered, unpasteurized and pure, and in this form, it maintains its incredibly healthy nutritional profile. In addition to offering many healthy nutrients, it also promotes many health benefits while promoting our overall health. Lets discuss some of the incredible health benefits raw honey can offer when it is consumed consistently. 1. First, raw honey has amazing antioxidant properties and this has been backed up by studies. These wonderful antioxidants can help to boost your immune system and block free radicals in the body, which can help prevent a number of unwanted diseases. Raw honey contains powerful antioxidants known as polyphenols, which have been shown to reduce the chances of disease, such as heart disease. In addition to this, raw honey also contains antioxidant flavonoids. 2. Consistent consumption of raw honey may also help to reduce the risk of developing diabetes and is even used to treat diabetes. Raw honey and cinnamon is especially helpful for diabetes since it is beneficial for healthy blood sugar levels, as we have discussed in a previous video. Raw honey can also benefit insulin levels and decrease hyperglycaemia. As well, raw honey has been found to cause a lower elevation of plasma glucose levels in diabetics when it is compared to sucrose and dextrose, as studies have indicated. 3. It is also a great source of natural energy. This is because raw honey contains a majority of natural sugars, and many different vitamins and minerals. It is an easily absorbed energy supply in the form of liver glycogen, which is why many people consume it before their workouts and sport competitions, or in the mornings. 4. Raw honey has also been shown in studies to help with weight loss when consumed. When compared to sugar, raw honey may actually work to lower serum triglycerides in the body. Other studies have shown that consistent consumption of raw honey can help to suppress appetite and activate our hormones. Like with any healthy food, just make sure you are not overeating raw honey and managing your intake. 5. Raw honey can also help to promote sleep. More importantly, it can increase and promote restorative sleep, so we wake up feeling more rejuvenated and awake. If you consume raw honey before going to sleep, it can work to restock the liver’s glycogen supply. As well, consuming raw honey also works to release melatonin in the brain. It stimulates the release of tryptophan which converts into serotonin, leading to the release of melatonin. Melatonin is great for promoting restorative sleep since it boosts immunity and also helps to rebuild tissue while we rest. 6. It can also help with treating a cough and is often considered a natural cure for both cough and cold. Persistent cough may be able to be remedied by consuming just a couple of teaspoons of honey as some studies have indicated. This is said to be due to the thick consistency and sweetness of the honey, which work to coat the throat and stimulate nerve endings which protect the throat from persistent cough. 7. Lastly, raw honey can help to improve the quality of your skin and provide a clearer complexion. This can occur when raw honey is consumed, but is even more beneficial when it is applied topically. When applying it to your skin, make sure you are using, pure, organic raw honey for best results. It can also help to relieve acne and other skin problems. As well, when applying it to your face, dilute it with water before applying. Thank you for watching the video! Please like, comment and share. Often known as the "Queen of Spices", its main characteristics are a peppery aroma, strong flavor, and golden color. People from all over the world use this herb in their kitchen. It is also loaded with many healthy nutrients such as protein, dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, potassium, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and zinc. Because of all these factors, turmeric is often used to treat a wide variety of health problems. 1. Prevents Cancer Turmeric can help prevent prostate cancer, stop the growth of existing prostate cancer and even destroy cancer cells. Several researchers have found that the active components in turmeric make it one of the best protectors against radiation-induced tumors. 2.Relieves arthritis The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric are great for the treatment of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, the antioxidant property of turmeric destroys free radicals in the body that damage the body's cells. It has been found that those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis who consume turmeric on a regular basis experience much relief from mild to moderate joint pain as well as inflammation of the joints. 3. Immunity Booster Turmeric contains a substance known as lipopolysaccharide, which helps stimulate the body's immune system. Its antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal agents also help strengthen the immune system. A strong immune system decreases the chances of colds, flu, and cough. 4. Control Diabetes Turmeric can be used in the treatment of diabetes by helping to moderate insulin levels. It also improves glucose control and increases the effect of medications used to treat diabetes. Another significant benefit is the effectiveness of turmeric in helping to reduce insulin resistance, which can prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes. 5. Heals the wound Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent and can be used as an effective disinfectant. If you have a cut or burn, you can spray turmeric powder into the affected area to speed up the healing process. 6. Reduce cholesterol level Research has shown that simply using turmeric as a food condiment can lower serum cholesterol levels. It is a known fact that high cholesterol can lead to other serious health problems. Maintaining an adequate level of cholesterol can prevent many cardiovascular diseases. 7. Weight control Turmeric powder can be very useful in maintaining an ideal weight. A component present in turmeric helps to increase the flow of bile, an important component in the breakdown of fat in the diet. Those who wish to lose weight or treat obesity and other associated diseases can benefit from having a teaspoon of turmeric powder with each meal. 8. Prevent Alzheimer's Disease It is suspected that inflammation of the brain is a major cause of cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Turmeric supports the general health of the brain helping in eliminating plaque buildup in the brain and improving oxygen flow. This can also prevent or slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. 9. Prevents Liver Disease Turmeric is a kind of natural liver detoxifier. The liver detoxifies the blood through the production of enzymes and turmeric increases the production of these vital enzymes. These vital enzymes break down and reduce toxins in the body. Turmeric is also believed to invigorate and improve blood circulation. All of these factors support good liver health. 10. 9. Improves digestion Many key components in turmeric stimulate the gallbladder to produce bile, which then improves digestion and reduces the symptoms of swelling and gas. In addition, turmeric is useful in the treatment of most forms of inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis. To get the optimum benefits of turmeric water, try this recipe: Ingredients: 8 ounces of filtered water Half teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon honey (optional) Preparation: Heat the water just below the boiling point. Put turmeric in a cup. Slowly stir warm water until thoroughly mixed.

How to Use Whey Protein for Weight Loss

03:52
To support our channel and level up your health, check out: Our Fast Weight Loss Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/the-science-of-fast-weight-loss-course Our Better Health Basics Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/food-health-happiness In this short video, you will learn exactly how to use whey protein for weight loss and better health! Men and women can both use whey protein shakes to lose weight, find out how! A lot of people think whey protein is only for bodybuilders, bros, and super jacked stick figures like myself. Not true. Whey protein is actually a tremendous tool for those of you looking to lose weight. That’s why today, I am going to show you exactly how to use whey protein for weight loss. Here are the 7 best tips and steps for beginners. 1. Understand what whey protein actually is. Whey is the liquid part of milk that gets separated when cheese is made. If you’ve ever opened a yogurt container and have seen a watery substance at the top, this is whey protein. This liquid substance is what is turned into powder form to create whey protein. Just in case you’re wondering, this process also cuts out the 95% of the lactose so if you’re allergic to dairy, you really have nothing to fear. 2. Understand the different types of whey protein powder. There are three main forms of protein powder: whey concentrate, isolate, and hydrolestate. Concentrate is about 70-80% protein with some milk sugar and fat. Isolate is 90% protein and has a little less sugar and fat. Hydrolysate is also known as hydrolyzed whey, has virtually 0 sugar and fat, and is mixed with enzymes for the faster digestion into the blood stream. So, you may be wondering, does the type of protein matter? Not really. The minute differences between to two are not enough that it should cause you any stress or concern. Leave that sort of worrying for your overall diet and exercise routine. For what it’s worth, most of the studies are done using whey isolate and it’s what I use as well. 3. Understand why protein works so well for weight loss There are 3 reasons are particularly compelling… #1. It will keep you full. Protein can cut down sugar cravings by as much as 60%. #2. It’s easy. As long as you have a blender bottle on hand, all you need to do is add water. Which is great to have on the go or at work where eating healthy is more difficult. #3. It preserves lean muscle tissue when dropping weight. This ensures that when you do lose weight the majority of it is fat. We talk a lot about protein on this channel and this is just the short list of reasons why. 4. Whey protein has lots of other proven health benefits, which helps the body function better and makes weight loss easier. Things like: Improves muscle performance Lowers blood pressure Reduces symptoms of stress Helps you get in more water naturally And contains a small amount of antioxidants. Are additional reasons why whey protein is important and helpful for weight loss. 5. What are the best times to take whey protein? In order of importance. Take 30 minutes before or after your workouts. This has been shown to help with muscle development and recovery after a workout. Take 30 minutes before meals or dinning out. This will help you keep you from binge eating and give you more control over what you eat when out with friends or family members. Finally, you can use it as a healthy snack. Whenever my chocolate cravings hit mid day, I use it to get in my chocolate fix without all the sugar. 6. What should you mix it with? Water or unsweetened nut milks like cashew, almond, and coconut work best. Try to avoid using milk as it has a good amount of sugar. Other great places to use protein is in oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and smoothies for a flavor boost. This really adds a great taste to the otherwise bland healthy foods. 7. How much should you get in? Best Brands: The best brand of whey protein that we like is ISO 100 Hydrolized by Dymatize, and it can be found here: http://amzn.to/2iVZrt7 Need a vegetarian/vegan option? The best brand of non-whey that we like is Vega Sport Performance, and it can be found here: http://amzn.to/2imXwwr The Health Nerd is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. https://www.ars.usda.gov/research/publications/publication/?seqNo115=209388 http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0921448806002574 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18469287 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19640952 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11838888 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20847729 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18469287 http://www.smallruminantresearch.com/article/S0921-4488(06)00257-4/abstract https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2289832/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24724774
