Dr. Berg's Complete Hair Formula: https://bit.ly/2MzLZcS Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. CORTISOL Low cortisol is when one has either a stress event (including losses). This could trigger alopecia (an autoimmune condition). It could be both high and low cortisol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66ujy... HIGH ESTROGEN This can also effect the hair by lowering the thyroid function. High estrogen blocks thyroid function. This could happen during the pregnancy when estrogen is spiked. However, right after the pregnancy, the estrogen drops and this can increase androgen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZDUo... INSULIN Increase insulin can trigger the increase of androgens, which turns into DHT effecting the hair. High androgens can cause PCOD, but its high insulin that causing that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTjDi... MENOPAUSE At menopause, estrogen drops, but not as low as testosterone, so the ratio makes testosterone higher this converts to DHT, thus effecting hair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4uoj... THYROID Having a slow thyroid can effect hair. But most thyroid issues are secondary which means it's really not a thyroid problem itself. If the gallbladder is a problem, then T4 will not convert to T3. Also if estrogen is high, the thyroid will be inhibited. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3z9p... TESTOSTERONE If testosterone is high, it can turn into DHT thereby blocking the growth of hair. Or, the lower amounts of estrogen can make the testosterone appear to be too high. I’ve discussed different reasons for weight-loss resistance in past blogs. Many obstacles have nothing to do with what you eat or how much you exercise. Instead, they involve things like nutritional imbalances, chronic inflammation, metabolic challenges, leaky gut, changes in your microbiome, environmental toxins and your genes.

Menopause Symptoms | menopause symptoms after hysterectomy | recognize menopause symptoms

09:49
Menopause symptoms. menopause symptoms after hysterectomy. Am I menopausal? menopause symptoms age 40. menopause symptoms age 50 Recognizing menopausal symptoms depression, anxiety, hot flashes and night sweats. What is menopause? Menopause: The time in a woman's life when menstrual periods permanently stop; it is also called the "change of life." Is it menopause? Menopause symptoms. Symptoms of menopause. Menopause is defined as the time when there has been no menstrual periods for 12 consecutive months and no other biological or physiological cause can be identified. It is the end of fertility, the end of the childbearing years. (A woman may still, however, be able to become pregnant unless 12 consecutive months have passed without a period.) Menopause can result from: Natural decline of reproductive hormones. As you approach your late 30s, your ovaries start making less estrogen and progesterone — the hormones that regulate menstruation — and your fertility declines. In your 40s, your menstrual periods may become longer or shorter, heavier or lighter, and more or less frequent, until eventually — on average, by age 51 — your ovaries stop producing eggs, and you have no more periods. Hysterectomy. A hysterectomy that removes your uterus but not your ovaries usually doesn't cause immediate menopause. Although you no longer have periods, your ovaries still release eggs and produce estrogen and progesterone. But surgery that removes both your uterus and your ovaries (total hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy) does cause immediate menopause. Your periods stop immediately, and you're likely to have hot flashes and other menopausal signs and symptoms, which can be severe, as these hormonal changes occur abruptly rather than over several years. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy. These cancer therapies can induce menopause, causing symptoms such as hot flashes during or shortly after the course of treatment. The halt to menstruation (and fertility) is not always permanent following chemotherapy, so birth control measures may still be desired. Primary ovarian insufficiency. About 1 percent of women experience menopause before age 40 (premature menopause). Menopause may result from primary ovarian insufficiency — when your ovaries fail to produce normal levels of reproductive hormones — stemming from genetic factors or autoimmune disease. But often no cause can be found. For these women, hormone therapy is typically recommended at least until the natural age of menopause in order to protect the brain, heart and bones. Menopause and depression, menopause and sleep, menopause and weight gain, menopause and anxiety. These are completely normal symptoms during menopause. Do you have any of these menopausal symptoms in 2018? Well, I have all of them. Yippee! how do you know if you're in menopause? In the months or years leading to menopause ( peri menopause) you might experience these symptoms. Some woman may have unpleasant symptoms due to the lack of estrogen and hormonal changes in their body. Symptoms of menopause include: insomnia vaginal dryness weight gain depression anxiety, difficulty concentrating memory problems reduced libido dry skin, mouth, and eyes increased urination headaches racing heart urinary tract infections (UTIs) reduced muscle mass painful or stiff joints reduced bone mass hair thinning or loss increased hair growth on other areas of the body, like the face, neck, chest, and upper back. Check with your primary care or OBGYN to discuss symptoms you may be having and identify them. A simple blood test at your next visit will help determine which phase you are in. Then ask your physician what options there are to help with the symptoms you are experiencing. Ladies, you are not alone and you are definitely NOT crazy! 10 Common Signs of Thyroid Problems, No. 3 is Shocking

15:00
10 Common Signs of Thyroid Problems About 4.6 percent of the United States population suffers from underactive thyroid . The risk for developing hypothyroidism and infertility is higher in women over age 50 and postpartum females. If you have multiple signs and symptoms of this problem, ask your doctor to check your thyroid hormone levels and get treatment of thyroid. Here are the signs and symptoms that you have Thyroid Problems review : 01:02 Unexplained Weight Gain 02:05 Dry and Flaky Skin 03:08 Muscle Soreness and Pain 04:06 Hair Loss 05:11 Constant Fatigue and Tiredness 06:08 Menstrual and Fertility Problems 1. Unexplained Weight Gain Weight gain without any change in diet or physical activity may indicate low levels of thyroid hormones. These hormones help regulate basal metabolism and thermogenesis as well as the metabolism of fats and glucose. An underactive thyroid contributes to a lower metabolic rate, which may cause excess weight gain. If you have unexplained weight gain, it is essential to consult your doctor to determine the exact cause and get hypothyroidism treatment weight loss. 2. Dry and Flaky Skin If you are following your usual beauty and skin care regimen and haven’t changed any of the products you use but your skin is dry and itchy, it could be a symptom of hypothyroidism or thyroid dry skin. The change in skin texture and appearance can be due to reduced blood circulation, one of the side effects of having low thyroid hormones. In addition, a slowed metabolism due to low thyroid hormone production can reduce sweating. Without proper sweating, the skin becomes dry and flaky. As these skin signs are rather nonspecific and often subtle, people tend to ignore them or attribute them to other causes. It is best to consult your doctor to see if there is an underlying health condition causing these skin changes. 3. Muscle Soreness and Pain People suffering from hypothyroidism often experience muscle weakness, pain, stiffness, or cramping. There may also be general joint pain. Low metabolism disrupts how your body burns energy, which can affect how your muscles feel after doing your regular exercises. Low thyroid often increases inflammation that may be contributing to your muscle and joint pain. In fact, about 40 percent of the hypothyroid patients had predominantly sensory signs of a sensorimotor axonal neuropathy early in the course of thyroid disease. 4. Hair Loss hypothyroidism hair loss and Proper functioning of the thyroid gland is essential for the development and maintenance of the hair follicles, and an underactive thyroid can result in significant changes in hair growth and texture. It may also affect eyebrows and body hair. The thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) modulate several aspects of hair anatomy, from the hair growth cycle to the hair’s pigmentation. If you are worried about hair loss and other hair-related issues, see your doctor to get your thyroid checked. 5. Constant Fatigue and Tiredness Fatigue and extreme tiredness are very common in people who have an underactive thyroid. When low thyroid hormones flow through the blood, cells do not function properly, leading to less energy, fatigue and constant tiredness. These symptoms persist even after getting proper sleep and rest. A 2012 study published in the European Journal of Endocrinology notes that autoimmune hypothyroidism patients had significantly higher levels of fatigue as compared with differentiated thyroid carcinoma patients health thyroid. 6. Menstrual and Fertility Problems Women with hypothyroidism may experience menstrual as well as fertility problems. Thyroid hormones have a great influence on menstruation, thyroid pregnancy, lactation and even uterine involution after childbirth. Is it Safe for Menopausal Women with Adrenal Fatigue to do Keto and Intermittent Fasting

Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about if is it safe for menopausal women with adrenal fatigue to do ketosis and intermittent fasting. The answer is YES. The adrenals are normally supposed to help counter a drop in blood sugar and when you do intermittent fasting with adrenal issues, you could have a hard time because of the drop in blood sugars. The hormone called cortisol is what is called a glucocorticoid, which is a glucose regulating hormone. So the adrenals are definitely connected to blood sugars. Cortisol if too high can mobilize more sugar and even turn your body protein into sugar thus raising your insulin and even causes insulin resistance or diabetes. So in other words, if your cortisol is high, chances are you could also have high insulin. This means you need to do things to lower insulin – ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting! Here are some tips: 1. Take electrolytes to increase potassium and other minerals 2. B vitamins (nutritional yeast) 3. Sea salt - the adrenals need more sodium, because they lose more. 4. Trace minerals, esp, chromium and zinc. 5. More protein 6. Omega 3 (Krill is great) 7. Take long walks 8. Go slow - go at this gradually and eventually you'll be in full keto adaptation and no longer running only on glucose (avoid the blood sugar swings). Hi guys, in this video we are going to talk about is it safe for a menopausal women with adrenal fatigue to do ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. There are some confusion about this things are floating out there that says it is dangerous and don’t do ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting if your adrenals are stressed especially if you are going through menopause but it is the exact thing that you need to do but you need to do it correctly. The problem is that when you get into your 40’s to 60’s, the adrenal gland takes over and backs up the ovary so you actually put more stress on the adrenal gland so what happens it has a hard time countering this drop in blood sugar as you go longer between three meals when you do intermittent fasting. The blood sugars are not able to rebound like you should so you feel dizzy and weak and all of the sudden you eat and feel better and then you think that you would need to eat more frequently, No. It just means that we need to strengthen the adrenals and tweaks some things because here is the main issue, with adrenal fatigue you are going to have higher levels of cortisol. Cortisol, another name for cortisol is called glucocorticoid – that is a glucose releasing hormones. When cortisol is high, you are going to release more glucose which is more sugar and increase more insulin. Adrenal problems in general have higher problems in insulin and we are trying to fix that because the insulin is going to create the insulin resistance and keep people from losing weight. So if you are trying to lose weight and you are menopausal and stuck, you need to do ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting but you want to do it more gradually. DR. 7 Best Ways To Lose Weight After Menopause

04:08
Are you a woman who is nearing your late 40s? Do you often worry about the undesirable physical changes that occur when you have to go through your menopause? Well, every woman experiences menopause normally between the ages of 45 and 55 years, and she may feel rather surprised by a few psychical changes that she experiences during this phase. Menopause is a natural phenomenon in which a woman's reproductive hormones cease to be produced and hence she no longer menstruates. Usually, menopause happens gradually, and during this phase, numerous hormonal changes occur in a woman's body, creating certain undesirable physical and psychological symptoms. During menopause, a woman's body decreases its production of oestrogen to a great extent and the androgens and testosterone levels in her body increase. This phenomenon can lead to symptoms like increase in unwanted body hair, weight gain, decreased bladder control, vaginal dryness, depression, mood swings, hot flushes, etc. Weight gain during menopause can be quite different when compared to regular weight gain, as it is caused mostly by a hormonal imbalance. So, if you want to lose the weight gained after menopause, have a look this video! 1. Cut Down On Sugar Sugary foods can worsen your hormonal imbalance and add on to those extra pounds, apart from putting you at the risk of diabetes and obesity! 2. Add Fish To Your Diet Fish or fish oil capsules can help older women maintain a healthy weight, as the vitamin E content in fish can burn more fat and also regulate the hormones! 3. Walk Often Make sure you walk as often as possible, take the stairs instead of elevators, walk to the grocery store, etc. This habit can help keep your metabolism active and also help you lose weight. 4. Change Your Exercise Routine Continuing the same exercise routine, which had worked for you while you were younger, could be a bad idea, as you may need special exercises after menopause. Talk to a professional and follow a suitable workout routine. 5. Cut Down On Alcohol Your body is not the same how it was when you were 30 years old, so excess alcohol consumption can lead to quick weight gain and also pose a threat of related disorders. 6. Treat Stress Many women going through menopause tend to experience stress and depression, which may in turn lead them to overeat! So, make sure you stay calm and get treated by a professional. 7. Have A Diet Plan You can visit a dietitian or your physician and follow a safe and healthy diet plan that is best suited for your health needs. Video URL : https://youtu.be/TYlKg0I-76w

Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy After a Hysterectomy - Karyn's Testimonial

03:30
TRANSCRIPTION: Hi my name is Karyn. I am 41 and about five years ago I had a complete hysterectomy. Since then I had a bad tumble. About six months ago I came into contact with Dr. Shel and it was the best decision that I could have made. Whenever I saw Dr. Shel for the first time I was physically and mentally exhausted. I wasn't sleeping at night. I couldn't handle the stresses of family and work. I would lose my temper very easily with my family, with my co-workers, and it just wasn't me. So, I had gone to my gynacologist to get reevaluated to see if an adjustment of my hormones needed to be to be made. I went there, I got some sort of adjustment and it just wasn't working. So, the ultimate was whenever my family found me passed out on the floor. I literally could not tell you what happened for three days. I was exhausted, my body had hit bottom. So, I have a dear friend recommend coming to see Dr. Shel. She had great success with Dr. Shel so I decided to call the office. My first conversation with them was in desperation. They could tell that it was not a good situation and I was able to see Dr. Shel the same week. My first impression of Dr. Shel was genuine and sincere. I was a mess whenever I came into her office and she spent a lot of time with me asking questions, wanting to get to know who I was and ultimately who I wanted to be. After a lot of testing of hormones and thyroid and food sensitivities we both together came up with a plan to get me back on track. She is very sincere. She takes the time to not only look at test results on paper but she listened to your symptoms and your concerns, and she goes by that. Whereas most doctors will look at the test results on paper and treat the results on the paper. That's not always true when it comes to women and their hormones. That was six months ago. Now I am resting. I having much better relationship with my family. I have a better balance. Dr. Shel had taught me that it is ok to take time for yourself. It's needed, and now I agree. So, I really thank Dr. Shel for giving me my life back. My family thanks you, my friends thank you, and you have a patient for life. Learn more at http://www.drshel.com/
