About Us. It is very hard to believe that AmeriPlan® as we know it began in 1992. In the early 90's, identical twin brothers Dennis and Daniel Bloom saw the need for a value-oriented discount fee-for-service dental program, and founded AmeriPlan® Corporation. The business was an outgrowth of the demand for dental care services. From the beginning, the demand for the services that AmeriPlan® provides strengthened steadily. Soon Dennis and Daniel expanded their vision to include a broad array of high quality, affordable supplemental healthcare programs. To provide greater value to the consumer, they added prescription medication, vision, and chiropractic care to the program, at no additional charge. Confident that they had assembled the right mix of programs, Dennis and Daniel looked for the most efficient and effective system for bringing them to the public. Through research, trial and error and perseverance, the brothers decided that by using the best features of the network marketing model, they could provide financial opportunity to thousands of people and bring these needed healthcare programs to the public. AmeriPlan® Corporation under the capable guidance of the Blooms and the staff of professionals that they have assembled, is now positioned as the nations' largest discount fee-for-service dental, vision, prescription and chiropractic program provider. Over the last few years the company has added medical programs to its lineup of services, including physician medical care, ancillary medical services, hospital advocacy and telemedicine. Most recently AmeriPlan has rolled out two new savings programs that focus on saving its members money in areas outside healthcare, such as family legal, financial (including credit repair and debt relief), ID theft protection, national child identification and roadside assistance services and everyday savings on things people use most, such as dining, automotive, recreation and shopping. AmeriPlan is truly living up to its mission of "Saving America... One Household at a Time." AmeriPlan® Corporation and it's outstanding field sales force of Independent Business Owners are poised to reach new levels of achievement and growth, both personal and professional. Dental, Vision, and Hearing coverage all in one GREAT plan!

12:04
Finally, great dental, vision, and hearing coverage all in one great plan! Get Your Dental Quotes at: https://www.medicarehero.com/dental-insurance Ready to apply? Click the link below to learn more and enroll online! https://www.manhattandirect.net/individualproducts/dental/productinfo.aspx?AN=43J0786&AGC=19353&State=0 I cant tell you how excited we are to bring you this video on the best dental insurance we have ever found! In the next couple of minutes you will learn the exact reason our clients love this plan so much, why dental and vision plans are a better value, and how it will save you money by filling the gaps in your Medicare coverage. Why do our clients care so much about great dental coverage? Because dental work is expensive! Average dental procedure cost: X-rays & Cleaning : $130 Filling: $160 Crown: $810 Little to no coverage provided by: Original Medicare Medicare Advantage Medicare Supplement Plans As you may already know, Medicare provides no coverage for Routine checkups, cleanings, fillings, or other common dental procedures. Even Medicare Advantage plans only cover a cleaning or two and maybe an Xray… IF it provides any dental coverage at all. All of these services can add up to have a large financial impact especially for those of my clients in retirement and living on a fixed income. So having a big bill for dental services is not a very good thing for my senior clients. Now a few great features of this plan include: no networks- you don’t have to check networks or even check if you dentist accepts this plan. Even If you go to a dentist that doesn’t accept any insurance at all then all you have to do is send your bill into the insurance company and they will reimburse you directly based on actual charges for the procedure or treatment you received. Additionally you can select either 1000 or 1500 per year in annual benefits. Now these benefits are a pool of money allowing you to spend your full benefits each year on Dental, Vision, or hearing services That’s the great part about this plan…YOU get to pick where you your pool of $1500 is spent. So if you don’t need as much dental coverage one year then you can use all of your benefits on Glasses, eye exams, or even hearing aids! That’s why I believe this is the most benefit rich plan available today.. You are really getting the benefits of 3 separate plans for the price of one. This flexibility really allows you to easily use all of your benefits each year maximizing the return on your money. Here are a few of the most common questions: My Dentist doesn’t take insurance No problem! Work out a cash deal with your dentist and then get your receipt over to the insurance company. And again whether you paid nothing or you paid a lot, this plan is going to pay based on reasonable and customary charges. so if you have other discounts or negotiated a really good deal then you could even walk away with cash in your pocket. And remember your benefits get better the longer you have the plan. 60% first year… 70% second year… and 80% the 3rd year. In Need Major Dental work NOW! The good news is once you start this plan your coverage will begin the first of the next month and that starts clock starts ticking toward your major coverage being covered for the future after a 12 month wait. But you can have your other stuff done now. Get a cleaning to keep your other teeth from going bad. Get any extractions or fillings you need to have down right away… those are all basic services. And again you will know that your clock has already started for your major items. It is good to know your coverage is going to get better and better the longer you have this plan. I Don’t Need Vision or hearing coverage yet That’s great.. Because the vision and hearing benefits are included at no additional cost. You can spend your entire 1500 in benefits on dental coverage immediately and have the peace of mind know thing that when you do need a vision screening, glasses, or even hearing aids in the future you will have 70% or even 80% coverage waiting to help pay those bills because you were able to plan ahead. How much does it cost for this dental and vision plan? For those of my clients who are new to medicare, a 64 year old would pay $38 per month for $1,500 per year in benefits. Again most of my clients are opting for the $1500 in benefits because it only costs about 30% more in premiums to get 50% more in benefits… so its just a better deal. ================================================== QUICK AND EASY MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT QUOTES http://www.MedicareHero.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Medicarehero/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/medicare-hero YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC76BF06WxgcKZXrK4O438MQ

What is Medigap and What Do Medigap Plans Cover?

05:30
Wondering what is Medigap? In this video, we explain what Medigap plans are, how they work, what they cover, and why it’s so important not to miss your one-time Medigap open enrollment window. TIMESTAMPS: Your Cost-Sharing 0:43 Definition of Medigap 1:33 How Medigap Works 1:44 The 10 Standardized Plans 2:10 How to Narrow Down Options 3:01 One-time Open Enrollment Window 3:19 Underwriting 4:00 How to Get Free Claim Support 4:39 Get the Guide: 5:10 When you turn 65 and you begin using your Medicare benefits, you’ll notice that your medical services aren’t free. You’ll have inpatient and outpatient deductibles to pay as well as copays for things like visits to the doctor. The most expensive thing that you also must pay is your coinsurance. Medicare Part B only pays for 80% of your expenses. This leave you paying the other 20% for things like labwork, diagnostic imaging, medical supplies and even big-ticket items like outpatient surgery or chemotherapy. What’s really concerning is that there no cap our out of pocket limit on that 20%. You pay it forever with no stopping point. Paying 20% of the cost of a surgery or dialysis could be financially devastating. Fortunately, there’s a way for you to protect yourself against those future expenses, and that is by signing up for a Medigap policy during your Medigap open enrollment window. What Medigap Plans Are A Medigap plan, sometimes called a Medicare supplement plan – same thing – is a supplemental health insurance policy that fills in the gaps in Medicare’s coverage. Here’s how it works: Your medical provider bills Medicare for your healthcare services that you received. Medicare processes your claim and pays it share, minus any deductibles and coinsurance that you would normally be responsible for. Medicare then sends the remainder of that bill onto your Medigap policy which will then kick in to help you pay for some of those deductibles, copays and coinsurance that would normally be your responsibility. What Medigap Plans Cover There are currently 10 standardized Medigap plans available in all states except Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin, where plans are slightly different. But most of you will have these 10 plans to choose from, and each plan covers a different set of benefits. The most comprehensive plans, like Plan F and Plan G, leave you with little to nothing out of pocket. There are also less comprehensive Medigap plans like Plan N with lower premiums that pay for some of your gaps and leave others for you to pay. This gives you the ability to choose a plan that has the right price and the right benefits for you. Because the federal government standardized Medigap plans in most states, you can shop the plans in your area based on price. For example, the benefits for a Plan G policy are the same no matter which insurance company you purchase it from. Here at Boomer Benefits, when we provide quotes for our clients, we quote all the insurance companies in their zip code, and in addition to their current rates, we also look at their rate increase history. This helps us narrow down to the insurance company that is the perfect choice for that client. Your One-Time Medigap Open Enrollment Window Everyone gets a 6-month open enrollment window to enroll in any Medigap plan they want. This window starts with your Part B effective date, and it is a “use it or lose it” window. This can be really important if you have some serious health conditions. You’ll have this one opportunity to buy a Medigap plan with no underwriting and no health questions asked. Sometimes we meet people who tell us that they were pretty healthy when they turned 65, so they failed to exercise that one-time chance to get any Medigap policy they wanted. They thought that they would just wait until they get sick, and then they would buy the Medigap policy. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that in most states. If you miss your open enrollment window, you can still apply for a Medigap plan later on, but they don’t have to accept you. They can turn you down for health conditions, so don't miss your one chance to enroll in a Medigap plan if you have health conditions. How Health Insurance Works

06:30
When I consider purchasing an individual health insurance plan for myself or my family, do I have any financial obligations beyond the monthly premium and annual deductible? Answers: It depends on the plan, but some plans have the following cost-sharing elements that you should be aware of. Co-Payments: Some plans include a co-payment, which is typically a specific flat fee you pay for each medical service, such as $30 for an office visit. After the co-payment is made, the insurance company typically pays the remainder of the covered medical charges. Deductibles: Some plans include a deductible, which typically refers to the amount of money you must pay each year before your health insurance plan starts to pay for covered medical expenses. Coinsurance: Some plans include coinsurance. Coinsurance is a cost sharing requirement that makes you responsible for paying a certain percentage of any costs. The insurance company pays the remaining percentage of the covered medical expenses after your insurance deductible is met. Out-of-pocket limit: Some plans include an out-of-pocket limit. Typically, the out-of-pocket limit is the maximum amount you will pay out of your own pocket for covered medical expenses in a given year. The out-of-pocket limit typically includes deductibles and coinsurance. But, out-of-pocket limits don't typically apply to co-payments. Lifetime maximum: Most plans include a lifetime maximum. Typically the lifetime maximum is the amount your insurance plan will pay for covered medical expenses in the course of your lifetime. Exclusions & Limitations: Most health insurance carriers disclose exclusions & limitations of their plans. It is always a good idea to know what benefits are limited and which services are excluded on your plan. You will be obligated to pay for 100% of services that are excluded on your policy. Beginning September 23, 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (health care reform) begins to phase out annual dollar limits. Starting on September 23, 2012, annual limits on health insurance plans must be at least $2 million. By 2014 no new health insurance plan will be permitted to have an annual dollar limit on most covered benefits. Some health insurance plans purchased before March 23, 2010 have what is called "grandfathered status." Health Insurance Plans with Grandfathered status are exempt from several changes required by health care reform including this phase out of annual limits on health coverage. If you purchased your health insurance policy after March 23, 2010 and you're due for a routine preventive care screening like a mammogram or colonoscopy, you may be able to receive that preventive care screening without making a co-payment. You can talk to your insurer or your licensed eHealthInsurance agent if you need help determining whether or not you qualify for a screening without a co-payment. There are five important changes that occurred with individual and family health insurance policies on September 23, 2010. Those changes are: 1. Added protection from rate increases: Insurance companies will need to publically disclose any rate increases and provide justification before raising your monthly premiums. 2. Added protection from having insurance canceled: An insurance company cannot cancel your policy except in cases of intentional misrepresentations or fraud. 3. Coverage for preventive care: Certain recommended preventive services, immunizations, and screenings will be covered with no cost sharing requirement. 4. No lifetime maximums on health coverage: No lifetime limits on the dollar value of those health benefits deemed to be essential by the Department of Health and Human Services. 5. No pre-existing condition exclusions for children: If you have children under the age of 19 with pre-existing medical conditions, their application for health insurance cannot be declined due to a pre-existing medical condition. In some states a child may need to wait for the state's open-enrollment period before their application will be approved.

Medicare Supplement Plans (NY and CT)

17:26
Plan F-HD As a resident of New York or Connecticut, your Medicare supplement plan strategy is different than with any other state but very simple. Go with the low cost of a Medicare supplement Plan F high deductible to keep your premiums down. Our website & other videos: https://medigapseminars.org/on-demand-educational-medicare-video-webinars/ Call Us at 1-800-847-9680 Plan F-HD: https://medigapseminars.org/medigap-plan-f-high-deductible-hv/ Request A Quote: https://medigapseminars.org/medigap-plans-independent-medicare-insurance-broker/m-quote-request/ You enjoy all the benefits of a Medicare supplement plan. You can see any doctor in any state and go to any medical facility, as long as they accept Medicare. Your out-of-pocket risk is limited. If you ever believe you are about to face high medical expenses, just switch to a more comprehensive plan. Once those expenses are behind you, switch back to the lower cost plan. No medical questions asked and you are guaranteed to be accepted. This is what your strategy should be: Go for the lowest cost coverage now. This will be coverage that limits your maximum out-of-pocket liability. It makes certain you can’t have medical bills beyond what you can manage. No matter what. If something happens, you get ill and you are looking at higher medical costs in the near future, you can switch to the Medicare supplement plan with the most comprehensive coverage. You will pay a higher premium, but you will not have to deal with Medical bills. The Medicare supplement plan with the lowest premium is typically your Medicare supplement Plan F –high deductible. Anyone who is eligible for Medicare prior to 2020 can get a Medigap Plan F-High Deductible. After 2020 this plan will be replaced with an identical plan called the Medigap Plan G - high deductible. Different name, same benefits. If you want to switch to that plan after 2020, you can. Original Medicare is the Medicare parts A & B and D that we have detailed in previous videos. In this video we will talk about Medicare Advantage plans. In our next video of this series we will discuss Medicare Supplement or Medigap plans. You are only allowed a Medicare Supplement plan if you keep your Original Medicare. You cannot have a Medicare Supplement or Medigap plan and a Medicare Advantage plan at the same time. So, let’s talk about Medicare Advantage plans. 1. Medicare Advantage plans replace your Original Medicare. They are not supplements. They do not supplement or enhance your Medicare coverage, they replace it. (show book) When you choose a Medicare Advantage plan the benefits and appeals processes outlined in this guide are no longer relevant. You can throw this book away. Your benefits will be detailed in an “Evidence of Coverage” provided by the insurance company you choose to replace your Medicare, along with their “Annual Notice of Change”. You no longer need to show your doctor your red, white and blue Medicare card or Medicare number, you will have a new card provided to you by the insurance company. You can no longer appeal your benefits to Medicare. Medicare is out of the picture as far as your personal service in concerned. If you decide to appeal an insurance decision, you must appeal to the insurance company. 2. Medicare Advantage plans are typically HMOs or PPOs and on occasion a Private-Fee-for-Service plan. HMO stands for Health Maintenance Organization. PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization. We will talk more about both of those in a minute. What is important to understand is that Medicare Advantage plans are not standardized, they are regulated to meet a certain minimum coverage. That is an important concept, so let me explain further. Medicare Part A & B is standardized. Medicare Supplement plans are standardized. Everyone in those plans receives the exact same benefits, they can see the exact same doctors and should have the exact same experience. With Medicare Advantage plans, each plan has different benefits, different co-pays, and deductibles, covers different medical services and has a different network of doctors and hospitals. Everyone’s experience is different and depends on which plan they have chosen. In additional; all the benefits, co-pays, deductibles and the doctors and hospitals in the network can and will change each and every year. It will be your responsibility to keep up with the changes via their mandatory Annual Notice of Change. It’s your responsibility to study this annual notice and determine how the changes may impact your healthcare. Medicare Advantage plans are regulated to meet a certain minimum standard. That minimum standard dictates that they must be actuarially equivalent to Medicare Parts A and Part B. That’s an interesting term “actuarially equivalent”. What does that mean?

Explaining Healthcare.gov Confusion

02:06
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) Browsing the Obamacare website to see how much health insurance coverage will cost in your area? The prices you see won't tell you the whole story. The plan browser on healthcare.gov was added a few weeks after the launch of the federal exchange, and was meant to help Americans shop after technical problems made it tough to log in. But the feature that allows visitors to see insurance plans without creating an account provides only limited information, and may lead users to think they will pay less than they actually will. The browser is only meant to be a preview of plans and prices, according to Joanne Peters, spokeswoman with the Department of Health and Human Services. For consumers to see the actual premium they will pay, including potential tax credits, they must complete an application, she said. This browser, however, may be the best consumers in the 36 states serviced by healthcare.gov have to go on. Multiple attempts to log into healthcare.gov were unsuccessful. Here's what the browser won't tell you:Your age-based premiums: One problem is that the plan browser is based on only two ages. And since premiums rise with age, it's likely many people will find pricier plans when they actually apply. If a visitor is looking for coverage for himself, the browser feature only asks if he is younger than 50 or age 50 and older. For younger folks, it spits back prices for a 27-year-old. For older people, it provides premiums for someone age 50.Unless you happen to be one of those ages, you're likely getting a lowball estimate of the actual rates, said Judy Solomon, vice president for health policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. The difference in the rates from someone who is 27 versus someone who is 49, could amount to a hundred dollars a month or more.In Montana, for instance, a 27-year-old Billings resident would pay $215 a month for a silver plan through Montana Health Co-Op, but a 49-year-old would have to fork over $357. Meanwhile, a 50-year-old would pay $374 a month for that plan, but a 64-year-old would have to shell out $629, according to the insurer's website. This is not what you should use to pick a plan, said Solomon. Anyone who really want to know needs to get into the website and create an account.Until this week, the site did not warn visitors of the age variance. It now has an initial information page that indicates prices vary by age.Your out-of-pocket costs: The healthcare.gov plan browser also provides very little information on the plans themselves, including information on deductibles, co-pays, covered services and doctor networks. For example, users searching for bronze level plans in Atlanta see a list of 22 options that range from a Humana plan for $166 a month to an Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield policy for $243.Some plan names give hints about their coverage -- the Anthem plan offers pediatric dental services, which may account for part of the price differential. And the Humana Connect Bronze 6300/6300 Plan likely has a $6,300 deductible.Healthcare.gov suggests on the initial page that consumers call the insurance company to learn more about the plans. Also, if visitors don't click on a link on the initial page to learn more about the five plan categories, they may not realize that catastrophic plans are only available to those under age 30 or have hardship exemptions.Your subsidies: The plan browser makes it clear on every web page that consumers may be eligible for federal subsidies that will lower prices, but they must create an account to know whether they qualify. The subsidies apply to people making less than 400% of the poverty line, and could reduce costs to zero for some consumers who pick bronze plans. Those eligible for government assistance will not pay more than 9.5% of their income for the second-lowest cost silver plan in their area.

The biggest psychological experiment ever is being conducted, and we’re all taking part in it: every day, a billion people are tested online. Which ingenious tricks and other digital laws ensure that we fill our online shopping carts to the brim, or stay on websites as long as possible? Or vote for a particular candidate? The bankruptcies of department stores and shoe shops clearly show that our buying behaviour is rapidly shifting to the Internet. What Does Medicare Supplement Plan G Cover? Medigap Plan G is the same as Medicare Supplement Plan G

What Does Medicare Supplement Plan G Cover? Medigap Plan G provides the exact same coverage that the Medigap Plan F provides, with the exception of the Medicare Part B deductible. On Medigap Plan G, you pay the Medicare Part B deductible yourself, each year as you go to the doctor (or for any Medicare Part B charges), instead of the plan paying it for you- like on Medigap Plan F. It's a calendar-year deductible, so once it's met (2018 Part B deductible is $183), everything above that is covered at 100%. This video outlines what Medigap Plan G covers as it relates to your Medicare coverage. Medigap Insurance 2018: Which Medicare Supplement Plan is Best? Plan F vs Plan G

08:45
Medigap Insurance 2018: Which Medicare Supplement Plan is Best? Plan F vs Plan G CLICK HERE http://seniormarketsolutions.com - 1-800-784-8969 The 2 most popular Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans are Plan F & Plan G. Should you choose Medigap Plan F or Plan? For those with Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance (also called Medigap) can help ease the burden of potentially high out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, coinsurance and other fees. When comparing Medigap Plan F and Plan G, you'll see there's only one major difference in benefits — Plan F covers the Medicare Part B deductible and Plan G doesn't. Medigap Plan F Coverage With Medigap Plan F, you get coverage on all nine basic benefits listed above. In fact, 56% of Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in a Medigap policy in 2014 were enrolled in Plan F. A Medigap Plan F policy could cost more in monthly premiums than some other Medigap plans that offer fewer benefits. Newly eligible Medicare beneficiaries won't be able to purchase Medigap Plan F or Plan C starting in 2020. Until that time, you can still likely purchase Plan F in your area if it is available and if you qualify. So how does Plan F compare vs. Plan G? Medigap Plan G Coverage Medigap Plan G has almost all of the same basic benefits as Plan F, except for coverage of the Medicare Part B deductible ($183 in 2018). This means that once your Part B deductible is paid in full, a Medigap Plan G policy would offer the same coverage as Plan F. Opting for Medigap Plan G coverage could equal lower monthly premiums depending on your location, your insurance provider and other factors. Deciding which plan is right for you could come down to availability, the cost of monthly premiums and whether or not you want coverage for the Medicare Part B deductible. Deciding on Medigap Plan F vs. Plan G How much your monthly premium costs could be determined by several factors. Your current health, age, gender, your location and your Medicare Supplement Insurance company could all influence your premiums, depending on when you buy your policy. The best time to buy a Medigap plan is during your Medigap open enrollment period. Insurers can't use your health against you during this time. You can't be denied coverage or charged higher premiums due to your health history. Your Medigap open enrollment period begins the month you are 65 years old and enrolled in Part B. 01:21:15
Families living in rural communities are disproportionately uninsured compared to those from urban and suburban areas across the country. They can face many barriers to ensuring proper health coverage, including language disparities, low literacy rates, and limited access to enrollment assistance in programs such as Medicaid and CHIP. Watch this webinar to take a closer look at the barriers to health care in rural America and learn from partners and community-based organizations specializing in helping eligible families enroll in Medicaid and CHIP in these communities. Women as Background Decoration: Part 1 - Tropes vs Women in Video Games

31:44
Please watch: "The Courageous Life of Ida B. Wells #OrdinaryWomen" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ip-SEYvRTA -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Content Warning: This educational episode contains graphic sexual and violent game footage. In this episode we explore the Women as Background Decoration trope which is the subset of largely insignificant non-playable female characters whose sexuality or victimhood is exploited as a way to infuse edgy, gritty or racy flavoring into game worlds. These sexually objectified female bodies are designed to function as environmental texture while titillating presumed straight male players. Sometimes they're created to be glorified furniture but they are frequently programmed as minimally interactive sex objects to be used and abused. Full transcript, links and resources available at: http://wp.me/pwSlB-4QZ ABOUT THE SERIES The Tropes vs Women in Video Games project aims to examine the plot devices and patterns most often associated with female characters in gaming from a systemic, big picture perspective. This series will include critical analysis of many beloved games and characters, but remember that it is both possible (and even necessary) to simultaneously enjoy media while also being critical of it's more problematic or pernicious aspects. Medicare Supplement Plan Options: Medicare Plan F, Plan C, Plan G, Plan N, and Plan HDF

08:39
My Website: http://www.medicarescreenshare.com Lets look at the different Medicare Supplement Plan Options you have. There are a total of 10 to choose form, and this video will cover the 5 most popular. Medicare And You Guidebook: 0:18 Medicare Plan F: 1:48 Medicare Plan C: 3:37 Medicare Plan G: 5:03 Medicare Plan N: 6:12 Medicare Plan HDF: 2:52 Price's: 7:02 Lets start with the most popular plan there is… Plan F. Why is it so popular you ask, probably because it covers 100% of the gaps in medicare. So if you have a medicare approved claim, your plan F will pay anything left over that original medicare parts A and B do not cover. So It will pay all your extra co pays and deductibles that medicare does not cover. Some other things medicare and medicare supplements do not cover are dental, eye care, cosmetic surgery, acupuncture, hearing aids, and long term care. So as long as you do not go to some witch doctor for you care or need any of these services your Plan F will cover 100% of the cost. Now because plan F covers the most it is usually the most expensive per month. As you can see a 65 year old female from Hebron Illinois will pay $134.59 to be on a plan F. We will use this premium to show the value in some of the other plans later. Now High Deductible Plan F covers %100 of what medicare does not cover, but you need to meet a $2180 dollar deductible first. That is the only difference. So, You must pay for medicare coved costs up to a deductible amount of $2180 before your policy pays anything. As you can see High Deductible Plan F is much cheaper than plan F with it being $102 less. This is a good option for people on very limited budgets, that are very healthy. You defiantly do not what to sign up for this plan at 65 if you have already had health issues, because you will meet you max deductible fairly quickly. The next option is plan C. Now this is exactly the same as plan F and covers 100% of the gaps in medicare with one difference. It does not pay for part B excess charges. Now part B excess charges are when doctors do not take medicare assignment. So some doctors can charge you 15% more than what medicare is willing to pay for a test, visit, or procedure. Lets give you an example. Lets say you have a surgery with a doctor that does not accept assignment. According to medicare his service cost $1000. Well medicare will pay $800 of it and your supplement will cover the other $200. But this doctor is able to charge 15% more because he does not accept assignment. So he bills you $150 more, and with a Plan C you will have to pay that $150 bill… Now you can avoid this by just asking your doctor if they take medicare assignment, and You will actually find out that most doctors do take assignment and it only happens in rare cases. Now lets look at the premium, its $146.42 and that is $12 more a month than the plan F. So you get less benefits for more cost, so this would not be a good recommendation for our 65 year old female from Hebron Illinois. Next up is plan G and much like plan C it covers everything that medicare plan F covers except for one thing. Instead of not covering part B excess charges like plan C, plan G does not cover your medicare part B deductible. So you pay for the first $166 of medicare approved amounts that fall under part B of medicare. Now with plan F the insurance company pays this $166 for you but they do charge you every year to make this payment for you. You can see how much this payment is by doing some simple math. So if plan F cost $134.59 and plan G cost $104.59 then the difference per year is $360. Now subtract the $166. So basically you are paying an insurance company $194 a year to write a check for you. So, With plan F leaving the market in 2020 along with the savings that go with writing your own check for your part B deductible, I can see plan G becoming much more popular in the years to come. Now plan N covers everything plan F does, except for 3 things. It does not cover part b excess charges much like plan C, and it also does not cover your part B deductible of $166 just like plan G. Now whats the third thing, well there is also a $20 copay for office visits and a $50 copay for emergency room visits that do not result in inpatient admission. So there are some copays, the one deductible for $166, and excess charges, but this can be a good option for people that what a reasonable premium, that are in good health, and that do not mind paying a copay once in a while. The total premium for our 65 year old from Hebron Illinois would be $88.89 a month. www.thevenusproject.com A film by William Gazecki 2006. Original Score by Diane Louie. The Venus Project proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be if we apply what we already know in order to achieve a sustainable new world civilization. It calls for a straightforward redesign of our culture in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable but as totally unacceptable. Anything less will result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in today's world.
