The Importance of Cholesterol for Your Testosterone & Muscles

03:25
Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about the importance of cholesterol for testosterone and muscles. People who take statins, which block the pathways for cholesterol end up having muscle damage (myopathy), wasting, inflammation (myositis). This is due to the starvation of the raw material - cholesterol to testosterone. Cholesterol is needed for bile production, cell membranes. This shows up in back pain, muscle pain and achiness. Low CoQ10, which is needed for the heart to function. There is much more side-effects from low cholesterol than high cholesterol. Statins Linked to Low Testosterone

03:57
Statins are the Most Prescribed Drug in History By Far. If you are taking Statins, your health and even your manhood may be destroyed in the process. Find out more about this article in https://agelikeaman.com/ I am not a doctor or giving medical advice, however I urge you to dig deeper into this class of drug and make an informed decision about your health. Statins are taken by more people than any other prescription drug in the history of mankind. There are many startling things about that statement. Firstly, the connections between cholesterol and heart disease have been misinterpreted and misunderstood for years. Yet rates of heart disease continue to climb. And yet the the AMA recommends routinely prescribing statins for people with a risk of heart disease as low as 7%! That is a third of the entire population. With their track record, what makes the healthcare industry think they have a handle on this? What is wrong with this picture? The well-published side effects are liver damage and muscle weakness. A much lesser discussed side effect is lower testosterone and libido. I suppose that would not be great for sales to read that as a disclaimer. Yes, statin use has been linked to low testosterone and lower libido. It only make sense. It lowers cholesterol - the substance that your testicles use to make testosterone. And it compromises liver function - your liver removes estrogen from your body. Is it a big surprise that statins lower testosterone? Well if so, your doctor can prescribe Viagra and Androgel. I have never been a conspiracy theorist, but this stinks. A big part of this problem stems from doctors who follow the guidelines faithfully because it's easy and it minimizes any liability on their part. But as far as the drug companies are concerned - it is pure profit. Tens of billions per year and drastically rising. Is it any wonder that men's testosterone levels have been plummeting? There is a direct link between heart disease and low testosterone. Most studies conclude that therefore heart disease causes low T - that low T is a symptom. Correlation can be determined, but what about causality? Could low T effect your heart? It is a question that doesn't seem to be asked enough.

How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs. However, I’ve noticed I started having erectile problems. Things don’t seem to work as well. In fact, I’m just not in the “mood” or have the drive for sex like I used to. Do you think the statin drug is the cause? =============================== Links for the refferences: 1. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4023379/ 2. http://www.webmd.com/erectile-dysfunction/news/20100416/statins_may_lower_testosterone_libido Hi Daniel. To answer your question - YES! In fact, it’s been clinically shown that statin cholesterol lowering drugs do in fact, cause erection problems and impotence.1 And this is because statin drugs lower cholesterol by blocking the enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in your liver, that is responsible for making cholesterol. Unfortunately, cholesterol is required to make your “sex hormones” in both men and women, such as testosterone, estrogens, etc. And these hormones, especially testosterone, is required for your sex drive, libido, erections and an orgasm. In fact, in addition to erectile problems, both men and women taking statin drugs, report having difficulty reaching an orgasm.2 Another common side-effect with statin drugs is depression. And let’s be honest, when you’re not feeling happy or excited, then you’re not feeling “sexual” and you just don’t care or have the DESIRE to have sex, right?... One thing I’d like to point out on the OPPOSITE side of this story and that’s having very high cholesterol can ALSO cause erectile dysfunction. This is because of plaque build-up in your arteries, leading to poor blood flow and circulation. So your goal is to have healthy cholesterol levels - not too high or low. You want to do it naturally, without the use of drugs such as statins. The truth is, 98% of people do NOT need statin drugs to lower cholesterol. I know this because I dealt with this problem back in 1998 with both my parents. You can easily do it naturally. A healthy diet, regular exercise program and more importantly, the specific use of clinically proven herbs can dramatically lower your cholesterol naturally, while ALSO improving your sex drive and libido. Statins and Cholesterol

08:17
Statins are one of the most highly prescribed and commercially successful drugs in modern society, due to their ability to decrease LDL-cholesterol and lower the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Learn more about the history, mechanism, and side effects of statins in this episode of Medicurio. Other lipoprotein particles: You may have heard of LDL cholesterol as "bad" cholesterol because it clogs up the blood vessels with plaque. Its counterpart, HDL or "good" cholesterol does the opposite - HDL particles move throughout the bloodstream and pick up any cholesterol it finds and brings it back to the liver. Often times, plaque formation is dependent on both how much LDL and how little HDL there is in the blood. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg explains what statins are and what the pros and cons are. Find out what the risks are of taking this medication and why it is prescribed in the first place. Among the risks of statins, it blocks the enzymes that produce cholesterol. Why is that important? It's because your body makes cholesterol naturally everyday for vital functioning of your body. Without it, your body will start to break down. It's one thing to lower your cholesterol in your diet so you have the normal levels of cholesterol, but it's completely different to make your body stop producing it altogether. 💊 Natural & Clinically Proven Alternatives To Lipitor

08:44
Watch the natural alternative to lower your cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs. 👉http://drsam.co/yt/Natural-Lipitor Or discover the most powerful fruit to lower high cholesterol: 👉https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYFY4Vl19Fo =============================================== 💊 Natural & Clinically Proven Alternatives To Lipitor =============================================== #cholesterol #statins Before I reveal clinically proven, natural alternatives to Lipitor, a cholesterol lowering drug and why you MUST get off this or any statin drug, I’d like to share a true story. Dr. Duane Graveline (M.D., M.P.H) is a physician, a flight surgeon and former astronaut. One year NASA was doing a yearly physical on him. He passed all the tests (physical, cognitive, etc.). Yet, they noticed his cholesterol was in the “high” range and told him to take Lipitor (atorvastatin) - a cholesterol lowering statin drug. Six weeks later, he had severe memory problems, so bad that he had short term, global amnesia (TGA). Additionally, when NASA retested him, his cholesterol was lower and he passed that test … yet he failed the cognitive test and he wasn’t allowed to go to space. Dr. Graveline decided to get off Lipitor, despite the fact other physicians, doctors and pharmacists said it couldn’t be Lipitor causing these problems. A year later, when it was his next annual NASA physical, they again told him to take Lipitor, but this time at half the dosage. So, Dr. Graveline reluctantly followed their recommendation. This second time, the results were even worse - amnesia PLUS “retrograde loss of memory” going back to his high school years. Yes, his memory loss was even more severe. He again stopped taking Lipitor and wrote about this situation in a book called, “Lipitor Thief of Memory” which was written in 2005. Which also includes liver damage, high blood pressure, arthritis, elevated blood sugar levels, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, muscle loss and lowered sex drive and impotence, to name a few. Add to the fact that my dad’s mom (my grandmother) had Alzheimer’s, I didn’t want to risk it and got my dad off of Lipitor … against his doctor’s orders. Instead, I decided to research, natural, safe and healthy ingredients and alternatives for having healthy cholesterol levels. And that’s what I’m going to reveal today. Natural Alternatives So let’s get right to it, I’ll make this quick. First, your goal is NOT to have “low” cholesterol, you want HEALTHY cholesterol levels. Now, one of my favorite natural ingredients to help improve cholesterol levels is called, Red Yeast Rice, which is a common food in Asia. In fact, this is a natural statin. However, the “secret” to using Red Yeast Rice is you only want to use it in small doses. Plus, you must use the “extract” form, not the “root” or “powder” form which is worthless. And finally, you want to make sure that the “toxic” by-product, Citrinin is removed. Any other form either won’t work or you’ll need such a high dose that you’ll have statin side-effects - obviously, no where near as bad as Lipitor. Again, keep in mind that if you ONLY use Red Yeast Rice to improve your cholesterol levels, you’ll need to use a high dosage, which will eventually lead to some of the same, statin side-effects. THIS is the real secret to having healthy cholesterol levels, naturally - without drugs. Other Cholesterol Optimizing Herbs Other clinically proven, natural herbal extracts that promote healthy cholesterol levels and balanced lipid levels, which are: Artichoke Leaf Extract (15% Chlorogenic Acid, 5% Cynarin) Phytosterols Complex (40% extract from non-GMO pine tree extract) Garlic (Extract 5% alliin) Policosanol (from Sugar Cane - Saccharum species) Improve Your Thyroid Cleanse Your Liver Did you know that 80% of the cholesterol in your body is made by your liver, and NOT from the foods you eat? This is why many times, the change in your diet doesn’t make dramatic improvements in cholesterol levels. The irony is that ALL drugs, especially statins, cause liver damage and thus, will eventually increase your cholesterol levels and this is why you keep having to increase the dosage of these drugs. So make sure you try to eliminate anything that stresses your liver - this includes all drugs, including alcohol and caffeine. But, since this is almost impossible for most people, I suggest you take Milk Thistle (80% Extract) NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) - which also boost your immune system. R+ Alpha Lipoic Acid (r+ ALA) - which also helps lower your blood sugar. Reduce Homocysteine Levels ======================================== Subscribe to Dr.Sam Robbins's official Youtube channel http://drsam.co/yt/subscribe Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DrSamRobbins ========================================= Thanks DrSamRobbins

Statins - BBC - The Men Who Made Us Spend

Statins can increase the risk of heart attacks and there is no evidence to support patients taking them, warn researchers The report suggests statins are more likely to cause calcium in the arteries Statins block production of vitamin K, which stops calcification of the heart Report suggests there is 'no evidence' to support people taking drug Around 12 million people in the UK take statins to lower cholesterol By SHARI MILLER FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 15:33, 10 January 2016 | UPDATED: 18:05, 10 January 2016 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/art... A new report suggests people are actually at greater risk of a heart attack if they take statins A new report suggests people are actually at greater risk of a heart attack if they take statins Statins, which are designed to help protect people from heart failure, can actually increase the risk of a heart attack according to a new study. Researchers say the drugs, which are taken by around 12 million patients in the UK, are more likely to cause calcium deposits in the arteries, which can lead to a heart attack. Statins were developed to lower cholesterol, but they also block a molecule needed to produce vitamin K, which prevents calcification of the arteries. The author of the report, published in Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology, says there is 'no evidence to support people taking statins', which opponents say also cause other health issues including skeletal weakness and muscle pain. Professor Harumi Okuyama, of Nagoya City University, Japan, told the Sunday Express:'We have collected a wealth of information on cholesterol and statins from many published papers and find overwhelming evidence that these drugs accelerate hardening of the arteries and can cause, or worsen, heart failure.' Similarly, Dr Peter Langsjoen, a heart specialist based in Texas who is co-author of the study, said: 'These drugs should never have been approved for use. The long-term effects are devastating.' However, there is plenty of support for statins within the medical profession and the drugs are considered to generally lower cholesterol levels by 25 to 35 per cent. The medications Lipitor, Crestor, Zocor and other statins have been the standard treatment for lowering cholesterol for more than 20 years. Those pills work by curbing the production of cholesterol in the liver. Statins have also long been recommended for people who already have heart disease and have been credited with helping to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. A spokesman for MHRA, the Government drug regulator, said: 'The benefits of statins are well established and are considered to outweigh the risk of side effects in the majority of patients.' Last year, NHS watchdog NICE encouraged GPs to prescribe the cholesterol-busting drugs to anyone with a 10 per cent chance of having a heart attack. That change has resulted in 17million adults - nearly all people over the age of 40 - now being eligible to take the drugs.

It involved a study by Kasim-Karakas of PCOS patients. They compared hormone responses to glucose vs. protein dietary challenges. Ghrelin stabilized after the protein challenge. However, ghrelin increased again starting at 3 hours after a glucose challenge. Evidence indicates that low-carb, high-protein meals decrease the fluctuation of blood glucose and ghrelin as well as other hormones. 💓 Natural Alternatives To Statin Cholesterol Lowering Drugs

How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Low-Cholesterol Or you can see 5 WORST high cholesterol foods: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QyL7WydW_c Refferences: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3108295/ http://www.nature.com/nrd/journal/v2/n7/full/nrd1112.html http://www.nature.com/nrd/journal/v2/n7/fig_tab/nrd1112_I1.html www.fda.gov/.../ucm082054.htm Endo A. CRC Press, 1999; pp. 35-47. https://cen.acs.org/articles/87/i23/Story-Statins.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homocysteine ======================================= 💓 Natural Alternatives To Statin Cholesterol Lowering Drugs ======================================= One of the best selling and most profitable drugs for over 2 decades are cholesterol lowering, “statin drugs”. The first “commercially” available, FDA approved statin was introduced over 30 years ago (lovastatin 1997) and this was formulated based on a natural substance, that I’ll reveal to you in a minute. The most popular ones that you’ve probably heard of are Lipitor (Atorvastatin), Crestor (Rosuvastatin) and Zocor (Simvastatin). Muscle pain AND damage. Just keep in mind that your body, including your HEART is functional ONLY because of your muscles. Liver Damage 80% of your cholesterol is made within the liver, NOT from the foods you eat. These drugs go inside your liver, prevent the formation of cholesterol and in the process, DAMAGE your liver. Elevated Blood Sugar and Type 2 Diabetes One of the worst things for again and every problem in your body is high blood sugar and insulin levels. Neurological Problems Sure, it causes depression, anxiety, panic attacks, worry, etc., etc. I’m not even going to get into arthritis, elevated blood pressure and probably the WORST problem of all - hormonal imbalances. Natural Alternatives So let’s get right to it, I’ll make this quick. First, your goal is NOT to have “low” cholesterol, you want HEALTHY cholesterol levels. Additionally and more importantly, you ALSO want optimal ratios of your HDL (“good” cholesterol/lipoprotein) and LDL (“bad” cholesterol/lipoprotein). Well, that’s from Red Yeast Rice, which is a common food in Asia. The natural form of this extract, in small doses, has all the positive “cholesterol lowering” benefits, but without the negatives of the synthetic drugs. Other Cholesterol Optimizing Herbs Other clinically proven, natural herbal extracts that promote health cholesterol levels and balanced lipid levels, which are: Artichoke Leaf Extract Phytosterols Complex Garlic Policosanol Instead of taking thyroid drugs, I suggest taking Guggulsterones (10% Pure Extract; E and Z) Iodine (Kelp Extract) Cleanse Your Liver As stated earlier, most people don’t know that 80% of your cholesterol is created within your body, by your liver… and NOT from the foods you eat. This is why many times, the change in your diet doesn’t make dramatic improvements in cholesterol levels. Thus, the stronger your liver, the easier your body will eliminate and detox “excess cholesterol” from your blood. The irony is that ALL drugs, especially statins, cause liver damage and thus, will eventually increase your cholesterol levels. Reduce Homocysteine Levels All doctors are so focused on improving cholesterol to help you avoid heart disease, a heart attack or stroke -- that they forget (or don’t KNOW!) about something super important and that’s your Homocysteine Levels. In fact, researchers now believe that testing homocysteine levels is over 47% more accurate at predicting heart disease, than checking cholesterol. The cool part is that you can easily and quickly improve Homocysteine levels by simply taking a specific ratio of certain B-Vitamins Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCL) Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) Folate (as 5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF)) Vitamin B5 [Pantesin® d-Pantethine (special form of B5)] Reduce Inflammation Finally, one of the leading causes of many illnesses and diseases is inflammation. And there are a few ingredients that’ll help reduce it, 3 of my favorites are: Turmeric (95% curcuminoids Extract) Ginger (10% extract) Mixed Vit. E - Tocotrienols (90% Delta &10% Gamma Tocotrienols) ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. Sex | Three Drugs That Inhibit Sexual Function

02:51
Hey, it’s Dr. Jack Wolfson here, The Paleo Cardiologist. I want to talk to you today about three classes of drugs that are known to inhibit sexual function. First off, when it comes to sexual function, there are a lot of pieces to the puzzle. Number one is your interest in having sex. This is called libido. Number two is the arousal necessary for intercourse. Number three, maintaining the arousal and erection. There is a part of the brain and neurological system called the autonomic. Balance in the autonomic nervous system is essential to sexual function. This is really where the doctor of chiropractic shines to restore that balance. But let’s talk about these three classes of drugs. Number one as a cardiologist of course are the cardiovascular drugs. Specifically, the blood pressure drugs. Beta blockers are absolutely classic for that side effect but any class within the cardiovascular space can cause those effects and, once you remove those drugs, typically sexual desire and sexual performance comes back into play. And the statin class of drugs that reduce cholesterol levels down, and by reducing cholesterol levels down, some people can actually have their testosterone levels reduced because testosterone comes from cholesterol and if we’re not making cholesterol, if the statin drugs block our ability to make cholesterol, then we could have problems with that and I’ve seen that many times in my career. The second class of drugs is of course the anti-depressants. This class includes some of the best-known drugs. The Prozacs, the Zolofts. All of those drugs can certainly lead to sexual dysfunction, loss of interest, loss of performance etc. The third class of drugs, and this is mostly for the men out there, some of the drugs used to treat prostate issues can certainly affect sexual performance. They clearly interfere with the body’s hormone production, so it could be something else that you need to look into and maybe look to your doctor for some natural remedies to help with sexual function. Now one of my favorite products when it comes to boosting sexual function is of course organic beetroot powder. We affectionately term that product the “boner juice.” It is tremendous for cardiovascular health but also can help with erectile function because it increases nitric oxide. What else increases nitric oxide? Viagra. Some why not do it naturally with a with an organic food-based source that has so many different benefits there? So, when it comes to sexual health, look at the drugs first. When it comes to any complications or any side effects or any problems you are having, always think of the pharmaceutical side effect first. There is a natural way. There is a better way. Continue to watch me and we’ll talk about it. Have a great day! Heart healthy tips from The Natural Cardiologist and my wife, Dr. Heather Wolfson. Should You Take Hormones When You Get Older?

Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis In this video, Dr. Berg talks about do we need to take hormones when we get older. Hormone which is made by the glands are the communications or the messages that tells the body what to do and travels by the blood. When the hormone connects with the receptor on the other end, the function will be activated and the feedback loop comes back to the gland if the function is complied so it would stop producing the hormone. He also talks about the basics to help the Endocrine System. There are no studies that compare bioidentical hormones to synthetic hormones (Comes with risk). Possible Reasons Why the Gland Stopped Talking • Counter Hormones – Insulin, Estrogen, Cortisol (These hormones can nullify or interfere with testosterone) • Insulin – It can increase androgens in women and decrease testosterone in men. • Endocrine Disruptors – Block Receptors • Junk Food / Alcohol – Destroys the Liver (Fatty Liver would make the liver not have the full capacity of the liver function) • Statins – Drugs that blocks the body to make Cholesterol Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 52 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional and natural methods. Statin Side Effects: What Cholesterol Meds Are Doing to Your Brain - Audio Article

04:34
Article At A Glance: Statins are drugs that lower your cholesterol. They work by blocking an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which makes your body much slower at synthesizing cholesterol. When statins lower HMG-CoA reductase, they disrupt a lot more than cholesterol synthesis, causing less than desirable side effects. Blocking HMG-CoA reductase messes with energy production, brain function, metabolism, and hormone balance. Statin side effects aren’t worth the risk, especially because lowering your cholesterol doesn’t actually make much of a difference when it comes to heart disease. You’re better off focusing on lowering inflammation. Oats and Testosterone: Do NOT Eat This Grain...

05:05
Until recently, I wasn't aware of what I'm going to share with you today about oats and oatmeal. However, you may want to reconsider consuming oats. There is a powerful anti-androgen compound in oats. If you go searching around for 'are oats healthy' are oats good for you, you'll probably find lots of articles saying they are good for you. The problem is, none of those people ever cite any research and they're basically just perpetuating conventional wisdom. One of the main compounds found in oats is beta glucan, a polysaccharide that has very potent anti androgen effects on the human body. avena sativa is another word for the common oat. Beta glucan has been found to suppress cholesterol production. Pointless reductions in cholesterol often bring about reduced levels of steroid hormones like testosterone. Beta glucan was found to: - reduce testicular size - reduce testosterone levels - high in PUFAs There is definitely some concerning side effects for oats. How Statins Work

01:57
Twice as many Americans will be eligible for cholesterol-lowering drugs, based on new guidelines from leading heart groups. Known to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke, Jeff Steffel is no stranger to statins. "I've been on statins almost 20 years," says Steffel. Along with his doctor, Steffel closely monitors his condition. "We look at the levels, I have those checked twice yearly," says Steffel. "I do have high cholesterol in my family." "Statins are medications that have been around for many years now- going on several decades - and they're really the main therapy to treat high cholesterol," says Lee Memorial Health System cardiologist Dr. Brian Taschner. A necessary building block for some hormones, too much cholesterol increases the risk of heart disease. Our liver makes all the cholesterol we need, but we also get it through animal-based foods like milk, eggs and meat. Statin drugs help by turning off the body's natural production. "They actually prevent cholesterol - prevention from the liver. So they limit the body's production of cholesterol, they're also felt to have anti-inflammatory effects and maybe some blood thinning effects," says Dr. Taschner. Diet is the first stop in controlling cholesterol. But several factors are prompting doctors to prescribe drugs to more people, based on previous heart events, age, existing medical conditions and statistical risk. Experts believe a wider use of statins - in the right patients - will save lives. "There are many cholesterol medications that have been available over the years, but the statins are the first group of cholesterol medications that have consistently shown reductions in cardiovascular events. So they don't just reduce the numbers, they actually reduce the events." Despite his family tree, Steffel is changing his personal history by taking a preventative prescription. "The benefits to your health are huge." You’re also much healthier because youthful testosterone levels improves cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and many other health ailments.. In the past, I’ve spoken about a variety of ways of naturally increasing your testosterone levels. However, it does you no good to increase testosterone, if you’re still doing things that are KILLING and lowering your testosterone levels, right?... Top 10 Things That Reduce Testosterone Stress Increased and chronic stress is one of the biggest testosterone killers. In fact, don’t sleep for one night and then take a testosterone blood test the next morning and I guarantee that your testosterone will easily be at least 50% lower. Poor Diet Diet plays a major impact on your health, especially all of your hormones, including your testosterone. You want to avoid packaged foods, soy, low fat and low carbohydrate diets. You want to reduce your sugar intake, especially high fructose corn syrup. Nutritional Deficiencies Even with a “healthy” diet, most people are not intaking enough nutrients to reach peak efficiency and increase testosterone. The combination of poor food choices, over-processed foods, and poor farming practices has resulted in a food system that provides substandard nutritional support.4 Lack of Exercise One of the easiest ways to boost testosterone production is with exercise. Simply put, the RIGHT form of exercise increases testosterone.2 Just the same, the WRONG form kills testosterone. Obesity Having too much body fat has a lot of negative consequences for your health. One of the main problems with higher body fat is that your fat cells produce estrogen and estrogen lowers testosterone5 Sadly, the older we get the slower your metabolism and harder it it to lose body fat. Alcohol As your liver processes alcohol, it produces compounds that inhibit the release of testosterone.6 Unfortunately, just one or two drinks results in a decrease of testosterone levels, as well as an increase in estrogens and cortisol levels. Medications The side effects of many popular medications is definitely adding to the rapid decline in testosterone levels. Some commonly prescribed medications, such as statin drugs used to lower cholesterol, are indirectly contributing to Low T.7 Lack of Sex Sex is a natural way of keeping your endocrine system stimulated and boosting your T levels.10 With a lack of sex, your body is missing out on the opportunity for these natural surges in testosterone. Female Hormone Mimickers Female hormone mimickers (exenoestrogens) are found almost everywhere: from skincare and personal care, to household cleaning and outdoor products. In addition, they are found in our food – commercially raised meats and poultry, soy products, flax seed, as well as food wraps and plastics. Age One inescapable influence on your testosterone level is aging. According to the Mayo Clinic, “Testosterone peaks during adolescence and early adulthood. As you get older, your testosterone level gradually declines – typically about 1-3% a year after age 25.”12 ======================================== Thank you for watching. 💓 How I Lowered My Parent’s Cholesterol By 30+ pts in 30 days - NO diets, exercise or drugs

05:08
See the exact formula my parents used to lower their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/TheCholesterolFormula Or you can see 5 WORST high cholesterol foods: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QyL7WydW_c ======================================= 💓 How I Lowered My Parent’s Cholesterol By 30+ pts in 30 days - NO diets, exercise or drugs ======================================= Back in 1998, my parents went for a full checkup because of a new life-insurance policy. In that blood test, things were good for the most part, except for their cholesterol levels - both of them had “high” levels. I don’t remember the exact numbers, but my mom’s cholesterol was about 245 and my dad was 222. I just remember my mom’s was higher. So immediately, both their doctors prescribed my parents cholesterol lower, “statin” drugs (Lipitor & Zocor). Of course, back then we didn’t know about all the negative side-effects that we know of now - such as Muscle pain and damage, leading to muscle loss. Joint pain and arthritis. Liver damage and kidney problems Increase blood sugar and type 2 diabetes Neurological side-effects such as memory loss, confusion, dementia and even Alzheimer’s Fatigue Insomnia Depression Etc., etc. The truth is, at that time I didn’t know much about these drugs - nobody did. They were new. But they sounded great. So my parent’s started taking these statin drugs and we all felt good about it. Well, except that over the next few months, the negative side-effects started. My dad had muscle weakness, loss of strength and high blood sugar levels, which also lead to high blood pressure. My mom had super dry skin, became very forgetful and had joint pain. BOTH had elevated liver enzymes. Anyway, to make a long story short - I got them off the drugs because I knew these problems were only going to get worse as they age and the longer they use the drugs. I then researched everything I could about this topic - causes and solutions. So the first thing I did was I put them on a super strict diet and daily exercise plan. We then did more blood tests and the good news is that their cholesterol did improve - but, not by much. Certainly not enough to justify the super strict life-style they had to follow. So I dug deeper into the research to see what were commonalities between people who had high, low and “healthy” cholesterol levels -- both in the US and around the world. And what I discovered was very interesting. First of all, 80% of your cholesterol is made internally by your LIVER -- and NOT from the foods you eat. … this explains why the change in diet for my parents didn’t make that dramatic of improvements in their cholesterol levels. Secondly, the real cause of high cholesterol is genetics and most importantly, the negative changes in your hormones due to aging! And this made total sense. This is why young people can eat junk and not have any problems. Their youthful hormones and better absorption of nutrients, naturally cleanses and detoxes their body of excess cholesterol. Of course, you can’t change your genetics or turn back your age to have all of those youthful hormones of a 20 year old. So, improving your diet, exercising and so forth is great - but for most people it’s just not enough. And this is exactly what my own parents had to deal with. However, when I gave my parents specific nutrients that an “aging” or “mature” body needs, their cholesterol levels dropped quickly and their lipid levels improved dramatically. And this is because their body was now healing itself from within, because of these key nutrients scientifically proven to promote total cholesterol health and improved lipid levels. Remember, your body is a SELF cleaning, SELF healing organism… as long as it gets what it needs to do its job -- nutrients, rest, etc. With that said, if you’re looking for the “most powerful” solution for improving your cholesterol levels - I suggest you click the link below, in the description area and read the article about how my parent’s lowered their cholesterol by over 30 pts in about 30 days. ======================================== Thank you for watching. 💪The Most Powerful Testosterone Boosting Food - Clinically Proven

How to instantly increases testosterone, naturally - without side-effects: 👉http://drsam.co/yt/More-Testosterone How to lower high cholesterol, naturally - no drugs: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Lower-Cholesterol Or watch this proven natural alternative to Viagra: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=297yrrlyT4Q Refferences: 1. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22037012 2. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0026049565900028 3. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23021013 4. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8120521 =============================================== 💪The Most Powerful Testosterone Boosting Food - Clinically Proven =============================================== So a little while ago I did a video about the “4 Clinically Proven Ways To Increase Your Testosterone Levels, Naturally!” In fact, when I don’t eat this one food for a few days, I notice that my morning erections are less and sometimes, they don’t even happen Emotionally, I’m not as happy or as driven in life I also notice I’m not as muscular AND, even my memory isn’t as good. It’s all minor initially …. but over time, it becomes more noticeable because the minute I add this ONE food back into my diet - it’s like WOW… My morning erections and sex drive is super powerful again … especially when I add in some specific herbs, vitamins and supplements… which I’ll tell you about in a minute. And today you’ll discover exactly What this one food is What’s the best kind to buy How to prepare it correctly How much to eat When it’s the best time to eat it. And all of this will only cost you about a dollar or two a day! Okay, so without any further delay - this super, testosterone-boosting food is: WHOLE EGGS! And yes, I said whole eggs, with the yolk! Egg whites are for losers. Nature made the perfect protein because the egg contains all the essential amino acids - half are in the white and the other have in the yolk. THAT’S why you need to have the entire egg. However, it’s not the “protein” that’s important for increasing your testosterone - it’s the CHOLESTEROL found in the yolk! And no, this doesn’t mean you should then have only the yolks - you need the entire egg. And before I tell you why the cholesterol is so important for testosterone production - I want to first stop and tell anyone listening who is thinking “wait a minute, isn’t this going to raise my cholesterol? Isn’t cholesterol bad for your health?” The answer is that yes, eggs do raise cholesterol - but it’s the good, HDL cholesterol!1,2 So, that’s the first myth that I want to expose. The second is that “high” blood cholesterol is not due to the cholesterol you eat from your diet. This is because 80% of cholesterol is made INTERNALLY, by your liver.1,2 Unfortunately, as we age, as you liver becomes weaker and you have negative changes in your hormones due to aging, your body and liver isn’t as efficient for getting rid of excess cholesterol and that’s why there’s an increase. Remember, cholesterol is good for your health. EVERY cell in your body requires cholesterol to function properly. And, this is especially important for testosterone production. This is also why taking cholesterol lowering “statin” drugs causes lowered libido Muscle loss and weakness Depression Memory loss And other health ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure, alzheimer's, etc. So if you do have high cholesterol - eating eggs isn’t the problem WHEN it’s done correctly and that’s what I’ll tell you in a minute. However, in the description area below this video, I have a link for a simple and 20 year proven solution for lowering high cholesterol naturally - without drugs or even a change in your diet. But you can get that info at the end of this video. Eggs and Testosterone Levels Okay, so getting back to why eggs and cholesterol is so important for testosterone production. First, cholesterol has a similar 4-ring structure to testosterone. And, testosterone is also produced from cholesterol. And the best time have eggs is before bed because most of your testosterone is produced during sleep. So your body will now have enough “fuel” from the cholesterol from the eggs, to maximize production of testosterone while you’re sleeping -- assuming all of your hormones are functioning correctly. The best kind of eggs to have are “pastured” eggs… You want to have about 2-3 eggs a day, again before bed would be the best time. I have 4 or more eggs myself. Do the eggs at night and take specific “testosterone boosting herbs” in the morning and you’ll be set. ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. According to some research, eating meat and dairy can increase your risk of cancer as much as smoking. Eating animal foods can also increase your cholesterol, and research shows that people who take statin drugs eat even more high-fat foods after starting the drugs. Today I'll give you some good reasons to reduce your intake of animal foods, and avoid statins.

↑ How To Lower Cholesterol Naturally For Women

09:40
How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►http://drsam.co/yt/TryMySolution =============================== How To Lower Cholesterol Naturally For Women =============================== In the “old” days, men usually had higher cholesterol levels than women. “Heart Disease” was more associated with men, than women. But these days because of similar life-styles, eating habits and environmental toxins, both sexes have similar rates of high cholesterol and heart disease. Sadly, the rate of heart disease for women has almost DOUBLED in the past 20 years! In fact, BOTH my parents were diagnosed with “high cholesterol” about 15 years ago – so I’m very familiar with this topic. But today I’m going to focus more on what WOMEN can do to lower their cholesterol levels naturally, and help prevent a heart attack, stroke and heart disease all together. The CAUSES Of High Cholesterol Diet and exercise are always major factors to your over-all health. But ultimately – genetics, aging and the change in your hormones is the PRIMARY cause of cholesterol problems. In women, as you age the following changes happen hormonally: Estrogen and progesterone lowers. Testosterone-to-estrogen RATIO increases. Thyroid decreases. Stress hormones increase. Growth hormones decrease. Liver function is impaired. All of these changes cause an increase in “bad” LDL and decrease in “good” HDL levels… In addition to a host of other lipid problems and imbalances. The “Hormone” Solution So what we want to do is improve your hormones naturally … by giving your body the specific nutrients it lacks and needs, so you can decrease your cholesterol from within. And as an added bonus, also look and feel younger! Remember, hormones control everything. This is why teenagers eat junk and don’t have cholesterol problems… it’s because their healthy hormonal levels, naturally “fix” everything from within. The 4 Healthiest, Fastest, Easiest & Safest Ways Of Lowering Your Cholesterol Naturally… 1. DIET Of course you know your diet is very important, so let me give a quick overview and summary. Carbohydrates – Eliminate or at least limit all man-made carbohydrates – such as cakes, crackers, breads, chips, etc. Anything that comes in a “box”, isn’t good for you. Stick to natural carbohydrates such as vegetables, fruits, legumes, sweet potatoes and a small amount of steel-cut oatmeal. Proteins – Americans eat way too much animal protein. Reduce the protein and limit it to vegetable sources, grass fed bison and wild-caught fish such as salmon. Fats – They are very important for proper hormone function. The best are RAW almonds, walnuts, avocados, fish oil and extra virgin coconut oil. Fiber – Eat lots of fiber, about 10-25 grams daily. The best sources would be from vegetables, legumes, fruits with skin, and nuts (walnuts are best). 2. EXERCISE Walking is a great start… Lifting weights has many hormonal benefits. Swimming, playing sports, etc. are all very helpful. 3. STRESS MANAGEMENT 4. NATURAL HERBS & VITAMINS [important!] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCYUe4I8xfU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqU64hnrFmU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtUp1JiHKnU ======================================== Thank you for watching. 2 Best Exercises For Lowering Cholesterol

04:29
See how my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerYourCholesterolBy30Points =============================== 2 Best Exercises For Lowering Cholesterol =============================== The best part is that it requires no money and can be done anywhere, anytime... But before I start with the exercises, I want to first discuss the REAL CAUSE of high cholesterol… something that most doctors don’t know Back in 1998 my parent’s blood work both showed high cholesterol levels. To make a long story short, we tried everything… Cholesterol lowering “statin” drugs - but these just had a ton of negative side-effects, as I’m sure you know. Change in lifestyle -- better diet, exercise, rest, etc.. -- this did help in the long-run, but it requires a lot more discipline and sacrafices Supplements, herbs and vitamins - most were just a waste of time and money. Only about 6-7 key ingredients had a magical effect. And I’ll tell you which ones at the end of this short presentation What I discovered through all of these things we tested is that the real cause of high cholesterol is genetics and the change in your HORMONES due to AGING! And this is why the older we get, the higher the cholesterol levels. And why women who go through menopause, all of a sudden have high cholesterol… Again, the change in hormones. And this is why teenagers and people in their 20’s rarely have cholesterol problems and yet, they live a very unhealthy life-style. Exercise And this is where the correct type of exercise can make improvements in your “youth hormones”, which will eventually cause an improvement in your cholesterol and lipid levels. One of the best ways to improve your “youth” hormones and help reverse aging, is by utilizing “resistant exercise”. Basically, lifting weights! This can be done with free weights, cables, machines or even your own bodyweight. Thus, this can be done almost anywhere, anytime -- no machines or gyms. When you lift weights, you increase testosterone, growth hormones, thyroid hormones and other “youth” hormones, which naturally help “fix” many health problems over time -- one of them being high cholesterol. And don’t worry, you’re not going to get “buffed” out - especially women. That’s just genetics and lots of steroids. Walking The next best exercise is walking. Again, you can do it anywhere, anytime. Walking is great because it is AEROBIC (with oxygen), while lifting weights is ANAEROBIC (without oxygen). You need both. The REAL benefit with walking is that it helps lower your stress hormones, such as cortisol -- which is an “aging” hormone. As far as how much, how often and how long? Start off lifting weights 3x a week, 20-45 min max. That’s all you need. And walk 3-4x weekly, 20-45 min. Start low and build up over time. You can do your walking and lifting weights on the same day or on alternate days … or whenever. What’s important is that you just do it! Click here for a natural solution: ►►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerYourCholesterolBy30Points Or you can watch other videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCYUe4I8xfU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqU64hnrFmU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtUp1JiHKnU ======================================== Thank you for watching. Even in the MRFIT study and Framingham, over 20 years ago - showed that elevated CRP causes heart attack and stroke. Paul Ridker and Gavin Blake noticed in the WOSCOP trial that the decrease in heart attacks and stroke were higher than you'd expect from the impact on LDL and the minor impact on the size of the plaque. Also, they noticed an improvement in the major available marker for inflammation (at that time) C reactive Protein. So they designed the JUPITER study and published it in the New England Journal. They selected only people with low LDL and high CRP. They had a big decrease in heart attack and stroke. Paul Ridker made the headlines in August 2017 with the topic of inflammation and CV risk. The study was CANTOS, using the major anti inflammatory drug Ilaris. It made a big decrease in not only heart attack and stroke, but even with cancer. Unfortunately, the number of lives saved from prevented heart attacks, strokes and cancer were all given back with increased deaths due to serious infection. That's not surprising; Ilaris is a heavy duty anti inflammatory used to stop inflammation associated with major auto immune diseases. That level of anti inflammation is likely to cripple the body's immune system. In these cases, it resulted in death due to serious infection. About Dr. Brewer - Ford Brewer is a physician that started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many patients coming in dead from early heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. How to Lower Cholesterol: LDL vs. HDL- Thomas DeLauer

08:06
Please Be Sure to Subscribe for 3x Videos Per Week! http://www.thomasdelauer.com How to Lower Cholesterol: LDL vs. HDL- Thomas DeLauer... Good vs. Bad Cholesterol: LDL cholesterol is not bad. HDL is not cholesterol and neither is LDL. “High” and “low” refer to the relative proportion of protein to fat in the bundle. HDL stands for High Density Lipoprotein. LDL stands for Low Density Lipoprotein. (There are three other lipoproteins; chylomicrons, VLDL and IDL) Cholesterol and fat are not water-soluble so they need to be carried around the body in something to do their vital work. The carriers of such substances are called lipoproteins. (4) Lipoproteins: Lipoproteins travel round the bloodstream and act as transporters. So LDL and HDL are carriers of cholesterol, as well as triglycerides and phospholipids and proteins. LDL is the carrier of fresh cholesterol and HDL is the carrier of recycled cholesterol. VLDL, LDL, and HDL: The liver is central to the regulation of cholesterol levels in the body. Not only does it synthesize cholesterol for export to other cells, but it also removes cholesterol from the body by converting it to bile salts and putting it into the bile where it can be eliminated in the feces. Chylomicrons and VLDL deliver TAG to cells in the body. Two types of lipoproteins are triglyceride-rich: the chylomicrons and VLDL. Chylomicrons are synthesized by enterocytes from lipids absorbed in the small intestine. VLDL is synthesized in the liver. The function of these lipoproteins is to deliver energy-rich triacylglycerol (TAG) to cells in the body (pink pathway). TAG is stripped from chylomicrons and VLDL through the action of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that is found on the surface of endothelial cells. HDL is involved in reverse cholesterol transport. Excess cholesterol is eliminated from the body via the liver, which secretes cholesterol in bile or converts it to bile salts. The liver removes LDL and other lipoproteins from the circulation by receptor-mediated endocytosis. It travels in the circulation where it gathers cholesterol to form mature HDL, which then returns the cholesterol to the liver via various pathways. LDL delivers cholesterol to cells in the body. As VLDL particles are stripped of triacylglycerol, they become more dense. These particles are remodeled at the liver and transformed into LDL. The function of LDL is to deliver cholesterol to cells, where it is used in membranes, or for the synthesis of steroid hormones. Cells take up cholesterol by receptor-mediated endocytosis. LDL binds to a specific LDL receptor and is internalized in an endocytic vesicle. Receptors are recycled to the cell surface, while hydrolysis in an endolysosome releases cholesterol for use in the cell. LDL is what we call a carrier protein, and one of its important jobs is to carry a fundamentally important chemical to every cell in the body. This chemical is a critical component of cell membranes, serves as a brain antioxidant, and is the raw material from which your body manufactures vitamin D, cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Study - The British Medical Journal (BMJ): The research team — comprised of experts from seven different countries — evaluated data collected from 19 studies on a total of 68,094 older adults. The team was seeking to determine if LDL cholesterol is associated with death in the older adults. According to the cholesterol hypothesis, it should directly relate. According to the BMJ study, it doesn’t. Researchers say almost 80 percent of the participants in the studies who had high LDL cholesterol did not die because of their cholesterol level. On the other hand, researchers discovered people with low levels of LDL cholesterol, or LDL-C, had the highest rates of death related to cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. Hello Hashi's & Thyroid Sisters! Have you been told by your doctor that you have high cholesterol? Has a statin medication been prescribed? Please watch this video before taking any cholesterol lowering drugs! Thyroid hormone and cholesterol have an inverse relationship. This means that when thyroid hormone is LOW, cholesterol levels will be HIGH. Statins aren't the answer here...correcting thyroid imbalance is the only intervention that will effectively and safely lower cholesterol levels in thyroid disorders. Unless you're an excellent converter of T4-only medication, you won't seen any improvement necessarily in cholesterol levels, because it is T3 that exerts the "magic" to directly lower cholesterol. IMPORTANT: A couple side effects related to statins that are of note are FATIGUE & MUSCLE CRAMPS.... hello! These are also common side effects of thyroid imbalance. My message here is to push back with your doctor by requesting a full thyroid panel, or find one who will listen, OR order your own self-ordered labs very inexpensively. See below for the correct tests you need: http://shannongarrettwellness.com/thyroid-disease-what-lab-tests-do-you-need/ Follow Holistic Thyroid Care on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/HolisticThyroidCare Twitter: @AutoimmuneRN Website: http://shannongarrettwellness.com

A new Swedish study found that among women who used hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and took statin medications, the risk of death from any cause was lower. Past research has indicated that HRT might increase the risk of heart disease in some women. These researchers noted that Swedish women use a specific type of HRT that may be different from what doctors in the US prescribe.

House Call: 6 Steps to Healthy Cholesterol

07:10
Contrary to conventional wisdom, cholesterol is not the enemy. The question on the lips of many Americans these days is, "How do I lower my cholesterol?" We've all been told that the secret to living a long, healthy, heart disease-free life is lowering your cholesterol. And believing that a low cholesterol count is the best way to prevent heart disease, doctors often prescribe medications like statins to keep those levels low. But these drugs can introduce a whole host of problems and may not even work. The truth is your body needs cholesterol in order to function properly. So, it's not about having lower cholesterol; it's about having the right type of cholesterol. The important questions are: • How do I get the right type of cholesterol? • How do I lower my triglycerides and raise my good cholesterol or HDL? • What's the best way to prevent heart disease without drugs? Watch this week's edition of House Call with Dr. Hyman to learn the steps you can take to improve your cholesterol and live healthy and free of heart disease.
