I've had people who have tried for years to lower their triglycerides and raise their HDL by eating diets recommended by such websites as WebMD and Mayo Clinic, come to me after they failed. It seems that no matter how hard they tried, they just couldn't improve these proven risk markers for Heart Attack and Stroke. Turns out that these people were not stupid or lazy or gluttons, the advice they had taken was just WRONG. The AMA/AHA/ADA/WebMD/Mayo Clinic have been giving ignorant advice on this subject for decades. Their advice would be laughable, had it not killed and crippled so many... If you want to lower your Triglycerides and raise your HDL, and in the process slash your risk of heart attack and stroke, the you need to do the opposite of what these organizations tell you. See how my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/StartLoweringYourCholesterolNaturally =============================== 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven] =============================== Cholesterol has many benefits and it’s definitely NOT your “enemy”. In fact, “low” cholesterol is just as bad as “high” cholesterol levels. However, there are certain foods that are really bad for you and can quickly increase your “bad” cholesterol levels and dramatically increase your risk for heart disease, a heart attack or stroke. Under this video I’ve got a special bonus video about how you can quickly lower your cholesterol levels in less than 30 days, naturally - without changing your diet or exercising. So make sure you take a look... However, let’s first start with the 5 worsts, clinically proven - “high cholesterol” foods that you must avoid! Dairy I’ve been saying this for over 2 decades - Milk is for babies and cow milk is for baby cows! Additionally, 99% of dairy products are pasteurized, which kills any benefits milk could have. Not to mention, the toxins, hormones and drugs these animals are given are highly concentrated in the milk - which goes inside of YOU! All of these factors, plus the saturated fat inside milk, increases your cholesterol and stresses your liver. It doesn’t matter if it’s whole, low or nonfat dairy, it’s all the same. Unfortunately, this also includes two of my favorite foods, ice cream and cheese! Fast Foods It doesn’t matter if it’s a burger, tacos, french fries, pizza or anything else - they’re all high in carbohydrates, hydrogenated and saturated fats, using unhealthy and toxic proteins. It’s cheap food. It may be easy and good for your wallet, but it’s bad for your health and cholesterol levels and you’ll pay the price later in life. Animal Protein The saturated fats and “marble fat” found in meat, pork, poultry and shell-fish is horrible for your health and cholesterol levels. I’ve noticed even grass-fed meat and free-range poultry can still cause high cholesterol in some of my patients, especially the “sensitive” ones. Limit your intake and focus more on vegetable proteins and fish - especially wild-caught salmon. Eggs Eggs can be good or bad. All the cholesterol and fat is located in the egg YOLK, which is why most “experts” say you should only consume egg whites. However, most of the nutrients, antioxidants and half the essential amino acids (protein) are also found in the yolk. The problem is when you COOK the yolk - such as hard-boiled, scrambled and fried eggs. The heat oxidizes the egg and damages both the structure of the protein and fat. So the healthiest way to eat eggs is raw or lightly cooked, so the yolk is still runny. Don’t fry it with butter or vegetable fats. And make sure it’s organic, free-range eggs. Baked Foods/Carbs (Snacks Too) Baked foods such as muffins, cakes, breads, donuts, croissants, rolls, cookies, danishes, scones, pie, etc… The types of foods most people eat in the morning when they’re in a rush, or with their coffee or at work as a snack… These are all bad because they contain hydrogenated and saturated fats, as well as dairy. Not to mention, they’re high in simple carbohydrates and sugars. “Bad” fats increase cholesterol. “Bad” fats + carbs/sugar REALLY increase your cholesterol and lead to numerous health issues. The combination is super unhealthy. Under this same category -- “Snack Foods” such as chips, pretzels, crackers and similar items are almost as bad as these bakes foods. How bad is the cholesterol in Shrimps? How often can you eat them and how much? Discover what Dr. Sam Robbins, a leading natural health expert, has to say how shrimps affect on your cholesterol levels. http://drsam.co/yt/Shrimps-CholesLo ********************************* Are Shrimps High In Cholesterol?********************************* A small serving of 4 ounces of shrimps supplies about 220 mg of Cholesterol. For people at high risk of heart disease, that amounts to a full day’s allotment. This doesn’t mean that shrimp can’t be a healthy choice. As with any food, it just means that you should be mindful of how often you are eating shrimps and how much. Shrimps are very low in total fat with almost no saturated fat at all - which is good for the arteries. Another desirable aspect to shrimps fat content is that it’s high in omega-3 fats, which are very important for cardiovascular health. However, the cholesterol in your foods is not really the main cause of a heart attack or stroke. There are many other factors that are far more important-such as your hormone profile, life-style and proper supplementation. Improving your cholesterol levels is very important but it is just one factor out of many, when it comes to preventing and reversing heart disease. You also need to improve your HDL/LDL ratios, triglycerides, homocysteine and other lipid levels. Managing your lipid profiles is probably one of the most important aspects to health, longevity and disease prevention. Making dramatic life-style changes — such as eating much better, eliminating lots of different foods and exercising daily — is very important but for many people can be difficult to start and it takes a longer time to see results. Do you know how to start easier and get faster results? I've created simple and convenient solution - that can help optimize you cholesterol levels, HDL/LDL ratios, triglycerides, homocysteine and other lipid levels. It's called: CholesLo ™ and contains ingredients that have been scientifically research and clinically tested to help support healthy cholesterol levels. CholesLo ™ Has Been Called: “A Super Vitamin For Your Heart”. Why is it so important to keep cholesterol at the normal levels and how to maintain it within the health limits? Cholesterol is a vital, fat-like substance that is contained in each cell of our body, as well as in our blood. Most of the cholesterol is produced by the liver, and the rest is procured through food. Please subscribe, click the bell and watch this video until the end to know the complete information. Cholesterol has extremely important reasons for our body and functions: it participates in the construction of cell membranes and in the formation of sexes and adrenal hormones; without cholesterol, the body can not synthesize vitamin D, which is indispensable to healthy bones, nor produces bile acid, without which fat in the body cannot be processed properly. When an excess of cholesterol accumulates in the body, it can not be broken down and this increases the risks to our health. The main danger is the onset of atherosclerosis, which in turn is the cause of most cardiovascular diseases such as a heart attack for example. The causes of increased levels of cholesterol in the blood are different: hereditary predisposition, chronic liver disease thyroid gland and diabetes. A sure way to maintain a normal cholesterol level is regular testing. Specialists recommend except for total, to monitor still poor (LDL) and good (HDL) cholesterol, as well as triglycerides. It is known that 20 years is the age in which the first examination for determining the values of cholesterol should be done. Revealed in time, increased cholesterol can be overcome and can not lead to serious health problems later. Here are 6 signs that you may have high cholesterol. 1. yellow growths on your eyelids. Did you know that yellowish eyelid can be a sign of high cholesterol? Take a good look at the eyelids, if you notice yellow spots, make a doctor’s appointment, check your cholesterol levels and your heart’s health. Also, do you notice painless yellow growths of the upper and lower eyelids? This phenomenon is called “xanthelasma” and it is a clear indication that you have high blood cholesterol levels. 2. gray-colored ring around your cornea. Often this is a sign of aging, so it should not be a cause for worry. But if you are far from retired, the gray circle around the iris may indicate high cholesterol and blood fat, which very often means a risk of heart attack or stroke. This gray colored ring or lacquer is actually composed of cholesterol that collects in the deeper parts of your cornea. 3. tingling sensation in the hands and feet. The tingling sensation of the hands and feet may indicate a problem in your body. This should be taken seriously because these symptoms can be caused by serious health problems. If the blood vessels are blocked by cholesterol, it is likely that you will feel tingling in your hands and feet, because your peripheral nerves are not getting do enough blood oxygen and nutrients for their proper functioning. 4. pain in the neck and back of the head. Because cholesterol levels that are too high can cause some of your blood vessels to block, it’s very possible that your circulation is obstructed. Such can leave your neck sensitive and deteriorate from time to time. The shoulder can also be felt in the same way. Medical practitioners say that high blood cholesterol levels can also make you have a headache, especially in the back of your head. 5. rapid or pounding beating of the heart. When a person says that she has heart palpitations, she thinks of the inner feeling that her heart beats something different from the usual one. Or, it simply has the awareness of the heartbeat. Most of the time, heart palpitations are harmless and they are often experienced after exercise or engaging in the intense physical activity. Sometimes they are due to anxiety, stress, and the intake of certain drugs. Palpitations may also indicate problems with the cardiovascular system, but and high cholesterol levels are one of them. Clogging the blood vessels due to cholesterol can lead to an accelerated operation of your heart. 6. unhealthy diet and lifestyle. If you eat plenty of fatty foods and avoid fruits and vegetables that contain a lot of fiber if you are a smoker and if you drink alcohol in excessive amounts, if you are overweight and do not exercise regularly, then there is a great chance that your cholesterol level is already high. But sometimes high cholesterol depends on our genes. About 1 in 500 people have a specific genetic mutation that leads to the accumulation of cholesterol in their blood. These people suffer from high cholesterol regardless of their lifestyle. if you suspect that you may have high cholesterol then please start eating a healthy diet and get levels checked out at the hospital. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about cholesterol being high on a ketogenic diet. This is an oversimplified talk and for more detailed data - see the video on LDL. However, as your fat cells shrink, the fat cell not only releases triglycerides, but cholesterol too. Many people do not know the fat cells are filled with both. The excess cholesterol needs to either be eliminated through the liver and gallbladder (bile) or be recycled. This is all a normal process on ketosis. Hey guys, I want to talk about what will happen if your cholesterol went high on a ketogenic diet. The first thing you should know is that when you lose weight, the fat cells actually shrink. They won’t go away completely, you can’t get rid of the fat cells but you can shrink it. Second thing you need to know is inside that fat cell you have, triglycerides and cholesterol. A lot of people don’t realize that cholesterol is also stored in the fat cells. As the fat cell shrinks, you can burn triglycerides for fuel but you cannot burn cholesterol, it is not a fuel source. It is going to be eliminated to the body as you lose weight. As the fat cell is squeezed, the cholesterol is going to increase in the blood and is going to go in the liver and comes out to the bile. As long as your liver is healthy and you’re eating a lot of vegetables, and you have enough bile, you are totally fine even if your LDL is fine. The key thing is to make sure that your triglycerides are low because if you are not using your triglycerides as a fuel then there is a problem, you are probably eating too much sugar but when you are in ketogenic diet and you are doing it correctly and your triglycerides are low and your HDL and LDL is high, all that means is that you are burning more LDL and there is no bad effects that are going to happen, just keep your vegetables high and as you keep closer to your weight loss goal, that will level out and come back normal. It sounds logical that adding fat to the body will increase more fat in the arteries and on the body, however, that’s not how it works. Hormones turn calories into different things. The main hormone insulin is responsible for changing carbs into clogged arteries and fat on your body. If you keep insulin low by keeping carbs low - the dietary fat will not clog the arteries nor will it end up making you fat. Insulin is very inflammatory and can also start the progressive inflammatory process of your arteries. Hey guys, dr. berg here and in this video we are going to talk about will doing a high fat ketogenic diet clog your arteries. Just from the pure observation of eating more fat and a fatty clogged artery, it sounds logical that if you were to eat fat you are going to get a clogged artery. It sounds logical that you would eat more fat and then get more fat in your body but it is not how it works in the body because in the body there is a various hormones that tell certain types of calories what to convert into and the hormone that tells the body whether to clog or clean out the artery really is called insulin. Insulin is like the switch that converts fat into the body storage and also clogs arteries. Insulin is a very inflammatory hormone if you have too much of it you could get a lot of inflammation which can set you up for a whole series of events from the body starts healing the inflammation in the arteries with a combination of the cholesterols, calcium and fibrous kind of a connective tissue to form a little bit of a clot. What started that would be the high levels of insulin, not necessarily consuming cholesterol. Cholesterol is made by almost every single cell in the body. Your body makes about 3,000mg of cholesterol every single day. 3,000mg of cholesterol is equal to 300 strips of bacon, about a pound of butter or 14 eggs. Your body makes a lot of cholesterol. When you consume more fat, your body just makes less. That’s how it works. What really creates this clogged arteries is high levels of insulin by consuming too many carbohydrates. If you were to cut your carbohydrates down, like the breads, pasta, cereal, crackers, things like that, and sugar. If you would cut that down, you would notice your cholesterol would go way down. Also your triglycerides and your bad cholesterol will go way down. If you were to increase the sugar and the insulin, your cholesterol goes up and you should even experiment yourself to see if this is true for you. But what I want to give you is I have a little mini course that is very quick and you can probably get it done in maybe 20 minutes on ketosis to give you the basics. I show you how it works, what to eat, the tweaks that I am going to recommend and the side effects. DR. Does A Paleo Diet Raise Our Cholesterol Levels? Part 1 Schedule a FREE Consult: http://www.justinhealth.com/free-consultation In this video, Dr. Justin Marchegiani answers the questions that so many people are asking: 'Does going on a paleo diet inrcease one's cholesterol levels? Many people aren't aware that consuming dietary cholesterol has very little effect on blood cholesterol levels. Dr. Justin has seen vegan patients that eat zero cholesterol but still have very high cholesterol levels anyway. Sugar and its effect on insulin has a powerful effect on stimulating cholesterol. Also eating healthy proteins can stimulate glucagon which can also decrease cholesterol production naturally. Most people aren't aware of the many side effect of statin drugs and with many people they may be causing more harm than good. ===================================== Gluten Video Series: http://www.justinhealth.com/gluten-video-series Thyroid Hormone Balance Video Series: http://www.justinhealth.com/thyroid-hormone-balance Female Hormone Balance Video Series: http://www.justinhealth.com/female-hormone-balance ===================================== ***Click below to SUBSCRIBE for more Videos http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=justinhealth ===================================== Dr. Justin Marchegiani Email: email@example.com Newsletter: http://www.justinhealth.com/newsletter Google +: https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/115880353981241082117/115880353981241082117/ Visit us at: http://www.JustInHealth.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/justinhealthwellnessclinic Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/just_in_health Linked In: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dr-justin-marchegiani/56/804/50a/ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "GI Issues — Malabsorption, Infection & Inflammation in the Eye and Joint | Dr. J Live Q & A" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGf7F1Xi6po -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

They likewise considered that for the past few years, individuals have actually been encouraged to eat monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats to lower the threat of establishing heart diseases caused by high cholesterol. Hydrogenated fats are what raise cholesterol levels and increase the risk of blocked arteries and lethal illness, like heart attacks or strokes. Researchers examined exactly what results avocados have on cardiovascular risk factors, knowing that they are one of the greatest unsaturated-fat-containing fruits around. To obtain their outcomes, they substituted saturated fats in the diet plans of 45 healthy patients that were obese or overweight, between the ages of 21 and 70. The volunteers started by consuming a high saturated fat diet for 2 weeks. They then followed three types of diet plans, reducing the quantity of saturated fat: One low-fat diet, without avocados One moderate-fat diet without avocados One moderate-fat diet, while consuming one avocado a day The results : After finishing their analysis, the scientists determined that LDL cholesterol levels were minimized by including one avocado a day into their diets. In total, numbers were lowered by 13.5 mg/dl, compared with 8.3 mg/dl in those who took in a moderate-fat diet plan without avocado, or 7.4 mg/dl in the low-fat diet plan. They also discovered that when you consume avocado, it has a favorable impact on cholesterol and triglyceride control. The conclusions : After seeing the surprising outcomes, the researchers highlighted the importance that more research studies were required in order to figure out if these effects were the same in other populations. They did, nevertheless, show that unsaturated fats in avocados could produce a heart-healthy diet, undoubtedly while being supported by highly nutritious foods. Healthy fats, micronutrients, and bioactive components consisted of in avocados are accountable for these essential cardiovascular advantages. Cent Kris Etherton, among the scientists, has ensured that she wishes to continue researching to identify more precisely exactly what bioactive elements are contained in avocados, in addition to their results on the body. If you want to see more foods, then you should also see these 5 WORST high cholesterol foods: 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QyL7WydW_c How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Improve-Cholesterol =============================================== 🥥 HDL - 15 Foods Proven To Increase Your Good Cholesterol =============================================== #cholesterol The past 3-4 years, my mom’s cholesterol has been between 225 to the highest of 243 (mg/dL). According to the numbers based on what you “should” have, my mom has HIGH cholesterol. Ideally, you’re *supposed* to have your total cholesterol under 200 and anything over 240 is “high”. And for those of you who know me, you’re probably shocked that I would ever allow her numbers to get so high. On top of it, why hasn’t her cardiologist prescribed her a statin cholesterol lowering drug such as Lipitor, Crestor or Zocor? Well, this is because her “good” HDL cholesterol (High-density lipoprotein) is crazy high and off the charts - averaging around 115 mg/dL. According to the stats, you want your HDL to be over 40 and my mom’s is almost 3x the amount! And because of this, her cardiologist said “Sam, I honestly don’t care at all what her total cholesterol is, with HDL levels that high - she’s got nothing to worry about” And yes, he’s done all the tests and checked her arteries and everything. Things have only improved and gotten better in the past 20 years. And the reason both her cardiologist and myself have no concern is because your HDL (High-density lipoprotein) is like a vacuum cleaner for cholesterol in the body. When it’s at healthy levels in your blood, it removes extra cholesterol and plaque buildup in your arteries and then sends it to your liver. Your liver then expels it from your body. Ultimately, this will help reduce your risk of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke. This is what keeps your “bad” LDL cholesterol in check. It’s the ratio that matters and the higher your HDL, the better and less concern with your LDL. So, with said, let me give some of the foods my mom eats that have improved her HDL cholesterol from about 50 mg/dL to what it is now, 20 years later -- 115 mg/dL Healthy Fats: I’ve changed the type of fats my mom eats. She’s almost eliminated all the regular vegetable and seed oils you see at the supermarket - such as canola, corn, sunflower, soybean and so forth, to eating fats such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil Macadamia Nut Oil Avocados Flaxseed Oil (Udo’s Oil is my favorite) Walnuts She has about 25% - 40% of her diet from these healthy fats Healthy Proteins: I’ve actually reduced her protein intake. She has eliminated all dairy - no milk, cheese, yogurt, etc. She eats: Salmon - 3x weekly Pasture Raised Bison/Buffalo - 1x weekly Pasture Raised Whole Eggs - 4 - 6 eggs weekly Pasture Raised Chicken - 1x weekly Vegetable protein powder - 2x weekly (no soy) It’s not much protein at all, maybe just one meal daily. The rest her protein will comes from plant based, vegetables, beans and so forth. Healthy Carbohydrates: Everyone is afraid of carbs these days, but you shouldn’t be at all. My mom has reduced “bad” carbs such as cereals, pastries, pastas, breads and so forth. Anything that’s packaged, “man-made” and has a long shelf life, which contains a ton of ingredients. You want natural carbs She now eats: White or wild rice (her favorite) Quinoa Beans and Legumes - black beans and lentils are her favorite, cooked in a pressure cooker to remove lectins which cause inflammation Fruit - NO juice, whole fruit Vegetables - she’s not a fan, but will eat some broccoli, carrots and spinach mainly And that’s it for the diet. Water, Tea and CholesLo She drinks more water these days, but not as much as she should. She loves her tea (Earl Grey and green tea). Of course, she still takes CholesLo daily. But she’s increased her dosage as she’s gotten older, which has made additional improvements in her lipid levels… Lowering triglycerides Decreasing Homocysteine Levels Improving HDL/LDL ratios dramatically Cleansing and detoxing her liver, where 80% of your cholesterol is made (NOT from the foods you eat) Reducing inflammation and blood sugar ======================================== ======================================== Subscribe to Dr.Sam Robbins's official Youtube channel http://drsam.co/yt/subscribe Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DrSamRobbins ========================================= Thanks DrSamRobbins

Do you want to lower your cholesterol? In this short video, I share three unusual ways of improving your cholesterol levels naturally. Links to all the studies and further info on improving your cholesterol naturally, so you may be able to avoid medication altogether: http://bit.ly/cholesterol-heart-attacks You're unlikely to hear the tips in this video from a doctor. Yet they can be highly effective at getting your cholesterol to a healthy level. In fact, one of them was found in a study to lower the heart disease risk for 9 out of 10 people. My name is Gareth Churchill and I’m natural health researcher for Erudite Lifestyle magazine. We report on the latest breakthroughs in alternative medicine as well as expose the bogus claims. When it comes to cholesterol, new advances are being made all the time on how to balance your cholesterol and lower your risk of heart disease naturally, and avoid spending a lifetime on pharmaceutical drugs with possible side effects. My first unusual tip is to eat FAT. That's right, I said FAT. But not any fat. I mean healthy fats that can help boost your GOOD HDL cholesterol. This includes fatty fish, olives, flax seeds and avocados. My next tip is to drink ALCOHOL. Or to be precise, one glass of red wine a day. Again, research suggests it can raise HDL cholesterol by as much as 15% and help get your cholesterol to a healthy ratio. My final tip is to try CHELATION therapy. This was first developed to remove heavy metals from the arteries of factory workers. However, doctors were amazed to discover it can help flush out cholesterol plaque as well, and has been found to lower the risk of heart disease for 9 out of 10 people. In this short video I’m only scratching the surface on how to get your cholesterol to a healthy ratio and lower your risk of a heart attack or stroke. On the Erudite Lifestyle website we explain in detail how to flush toxic cholesterol plaque from your arteries, to lower your blood pressure and improve your all round health. We also reveal why cholesterol may not be the #1 cause of heart attacks at all. And what you need to ask your doctor to check for instead. What’s more, you can get our FREE report on 7 Brain Foods for a smarter, faster and clearer mind. Sounds interesting? Then click the link below. I hope you find our information helpful in balancing your cholesterol and improving your all round health. Maybe your doctor's telling you that you're doing something terribly wrong. Maybe he's telling you you need to get off that ketogenic diet because your cholesterol levels are high. Maybe you're just scared. Maybe you're just concerned as to why they're higher, or maybe you're trying to be proactive and trying to understand why they might get higher. In this video, I'm going to help you understand that higher levels of cholesterol on a ketogenic diet could very well mean a very, very good and rather cool thing. You see, we have to remember that we're on a ketogenic diet. Everything is surrounding fats. We're eating a lot of fats, we're metabolizing fats, we're going to have more lipids and we're going to have more cholesterols in the bloodstream, plain and simple. We have to remember that. What's interesting is that higher levels of cholesterol on a ketogenic diet are being linked and associated with weight loss. Believe it or not, once weight loss starts and fatty acid metabolism really kicks in, we see an increase in cholesterol. So it usually means that you're having an influx of weight loss occurring at that very point in time. You see, as fat starts to break down, cholesterol goes up, and it has to do with the fact that triglycerides are mobilized and they end up getting broken down into fuel but the cholesterol just kind of hangs out. The cholesterol doesn't really get burned for fuel. It's not metabolized like that. It's not energy. So what it does, it ends up sitting in the bloodstream, waiting to get recycled by the liver. It's not doing anything good or doing anything bad. It's just elevated and it's usually indicative of the fact that your body is using a little bit more fat for fuel at that very point in time. So you will find it's a temporary increase and once the weight loss starts to plateau a little bit and starts to slow down, your cholesterol levels will probably start to come down. You've probably seen an increase in both your HDL and your LDL, and it just has to do with the fact that both of them are mobilized. On that note, we have to understand HDL and LDL and the relationship with ketosis, and once you understand this, everything's going to make a lot more sense and I can almost guarantee you're going to come out of this video overall feeling a lot less stressed out about this situation. First off, HDL and LDL, they're not even cholesterols. They're transport vehicles. They deliver cholesterols. So you've got high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein. Low density lipoprotein, the "bad cholesterol" delivers nutrients. It delivers cholesterol, delivers fat and fat-soluble nutrients to the cell. Very important, but for some reason it gets a bad rap. Then we have HDL. HDL's job is to go around and pick up waste particles or used LDL, particles of LDL, and take them back to the liver for recycling. So somewhere along the lines, messages got going to confused. For some reason we think that LDL is bad because it's delivering fat, even though it's totally important. For some reason we think that purely recycling that fat is the only good thing that should be occurring. Watch more Healthy Eating videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/432350-How-to-Reduce-Bad-Cholesterol A little attention to detail never hurt anyone and may have benefits if it involves monitoring what you put in your body. Reduce your bad cholesterol through simple disciplined measures that are proven to help. Step 1: Disrupt fat with exercise Use exercise to naturally disrupt the metabolism of fat. Eating less helps, but excess body fat will keep cholesterol up until you actually lose pounds by breaking a sweat. Moderate walking and workouts five days a week can raise good cholesterol by 10 percent. Tip The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health suggests everyone 20 and over should check their levels of bad cholesterol every five years. Step 2: Relax and reflect Relax and reflect periodically, rather than give in to the high tension that constricts arteries and raises blood pressure. If you're constantly stressing out, consider making some long-term changes that will eliminate some of your stres for good. Step 3: Get good greens Drink green tea, full of compounds that can help lower bad cholesterol. Eat leafy greens as well, for soluble fiber that sponges up cholesterol in the digestive tract. Step 4: Consume nuts Consume nuts instead of cheese, meat, or croutons in salads. According to the Food and Drug Administration, a daily handful of 42.5 grams of nuts may reduce cholesterol and the risk of heart disease. Step 5: Substitute fish Substitute meat with fish twice or three times weekly. Consuming fish can profoundly lower cholesterol and triglycerides. Step 6: Choose smart fats Select smart fats for your diet, substituting canola or olive oils for vegetable oil, butter, margarine, lard, or shortening. It's not merely fats, but the kind of fats you eat, that make the difference. Tip Eggs do not drastically increase cholesterol. Step 7: Take drugs to lower cholesterol Take a cholesterol-lowering drug if you have evident cardiovascular risks. Beforehand, consider alternatives like niacin, bile acid resins, and fibrates. Step 8: Commit to win Resolve to make changes, and live a healthy lifestyle. It's your life -- only you can make the changes to lower your bad cholesterol. Did You Know? In 2010, researchers identified nearly 100 gene variants possibly linked to as much as one third of hereditary factors influencing cholesterol production.

Please Be Sure to Subscribe for 3x Videos Per Week! http://www.thomasdelauer.com How to Lower Cholesterol: LDL vs. HDL- Thomas DeLauer... Good vs. Bad Cholesterol: LDL cholesterol is not bad. HDL is not cholesterol and neither is LDL. “High” and “low” refer to the relative proportion of protein to fat in the bundle. HDL stands for High Density Lipoprotein. LDL stands for Low Density Lipoprotein. (There are three other lipoproteins; chylomicrons, VLDL and IDL) Cholesterol and fat are not water-soluble so they need to be carried around the body in something to do their vital work. The carriers of such substances are called lipoproteins. (4) Lipoproteins: Lipoproteins travel round the bloodstream and act as transporters. So LDL and HDL are carriers of cholesterol, as well as triglycerides and phospholipids and proteins. LDL is the carrier of fresh cholesterol and HDL is the carrier of recycled cholesterol. VLDL, LDL, and HDL: The liver is central to the regulation of cholesterol levels in the body. Not only does it synthesize cholesterol for export to other cells, but it also removes cholesterol from the body by converting it to bile salts and putting it into the bile where it can be eliminated in the feces. Chylomicrons and VLDL deliver TAG to cells in the body. Two types of lipoproteins are triglyceride-rich: the chylomicrons and VLDL. Chylomicrons are synthesized by enterocytes from lipids absorbed in the small intestine. VLDL is synthesized in the liver. The function of these lipoproteins is to deliver energy-rich triacylglycerol (TAG) to cells in the body (pink pathway). TAG is stripped from chylomicrons and VLDL through the action of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that is found on the surface of endothelial cells. HDL is involved in reverse cholesterol transport. Excess cholesterol is eliminated from the body via the liver, which secretes cholesterol in bile or converts it to bile salts. The liver removes LDL and other lipoproteins from the circulation by receptor-mediated endocytosis. It travels in the circulation where it gathers cholesterol to form mature HDL, which then returns the cholesterol to the liver via various pathways. LDL delivers cholesterol to cells in the body. As VLDL particles are stripped of triacylglycerol, they become more dense. These particles are remodeled at the liver and transformed into LDL. The function of LDL is to deliver cholesterol to cells, where it is used in membranes, or for the synthesis of steroid hormones. Cells take up cholesterol by receptor-mediated endocytosis. LDL binds to a specific LDL receptor and is internalized in an endocytic vesicle. Receptors are recycled to the cell surface, while hydrolysis in an endolysosome releases cholesterol for use in the cell. LDL is what we call a carrier protein, and one of its important jobs is to carry a fundamentally important chemical to every cell in the body. This chemical is a critical component of cell membranes, serves as a brain antioxidant, and is the raw material from which your body manufactures vitamin D, cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Study - The British Medical Journal (BMJ): The research team — comprised of experts from seven different countries — evaluated data collected from 19 studies on a total of 68,094 older adults. The team was seeking to determine if LDL cholesterol is associated with death in the older adults. According to the cholesterol hypothesis, it should directly relate. According to the BMJ study, it doesn’t. Researchers say almost 80 percent of the participants in the studies who had high LDL cholesterol did not die because of their cholesterol level. On the other hand, researchers discovered people with low levels of LDL cholesterol, or LDL-C, had the highest rates of death related to cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. 11 Foods That Increase Your HDL Levels When choosing foods that increase HDL cholesterol, what you have to bear in mind is that the food you eat is not the be-all and end-all of how you balance your cholesterol levels in the first place. For instance, other factors have to come into consideration such as lifestyle choices including whether you smoke or not, how much alcohol you consume and if you do not exercise. That said, one of the things that you do want to do is ensure that you have as much HDL in your blood as possible to help control the LDL cholesterol. Following are three foods that increase HDL cholesterol. Oily fish - Oily fish such as sardines, mackerel, salmon and tuna are excellent at helping to increase your HDL levels. The reason for this is because they reduce your triglyceride levels, and when triglyceride levels are low this enables HDL levels to increase. Oats - Foods such as oats are high in soluble fiber, and soluble fiber not only helps to increase HDL levels but also helps reduce total cholesterol as well. As well as oats other foods that contain soluble fiber are whole-grain food, brown rice, lentils and legumes. Onions - Onions are one of the little-known foods that increase HDL cholesterol levels. In studies that were carried out, when people with cholesterol problems ate approximately half a raw onion a day, 25 percent of them found a reduction in their cholesterol levels. Foods that you definitely want to avoid as they will decrease your HDL levels are any foods that are contain or are cooked in trans fats. Trans fats otherwise known as hydrogenated vegetable oil are added to certain foods to extend the shelf life and also used by fast food outlets for deep frying. Trans fats are notorious because not only do they lower your HDL cholesterol but they also increase your LDL cholesterol; this of course is the exact opposite of everything that we are trying to achieve. In addition to eating foods that increase HDL cholesterol, you may also find it helpful to take supplements as well. This is proving increasingly popular because there are certain nutrients that are found in supplements that can have a significant impact on your HDL levels. To find out more about supplements and how they can help you increase your HDL please visit my website where I explain it more detail. It’s all minor initially …. but over time, it becomes more noticeable because the minute I add this ONE food back into my diet - it’s like WOW… My morning erections and sex drive is super powerful again … especially when I add in some specific herbs, vitamins and supplements… which I’ll tell you about in a minute. And today you’ll discover exactly What this one food is What’s the best kind to buy How to prepare it correctly How much to eat When it’s the best time to eat it. And all of this will only cost you about a dollar or two a day! Okay, so without any further delay - this super, testosterone-boosting food is: WHOLE EGGS! And yes, I said whole eggs, with the yolk! Egg whites are for losers. Nature made the perfect protein because the egg contains all the essential amino acids - half are in the white and the other have in the yolk. THAT’S why you need to have the entire egg. However, it’s not the “protein” that’s important for increasing your testosterone - it’s the CHOLESTEROL found in the yolk! And no, this doesn’t mean you should then have only the yolks - you need the entire egg. And before I tell you why the cholesterol is so important for testosterone production - I want to first stop and tell anyone listening who is thinking “wait a minute, isn’t this going to raise my cholesterol? Isn’t cholesterol bad for your health?” The answer is that yes, eggs do raise cholesterol - but it’s the good, HDL cholesterol!1,2 So, that’s the first myth that I want to expose. The second is that “high” blood cholesterol is not due to the cholesterol you eat from your diet. This is because 80% of cholesterol is made INTERNALLY, by your liver.1,2 Unfortunately, as we age, as you liver becomes weaker and you have negative changes in your hormones due to aging, your body and liver isn’t as efficient for getting rid of excess cholesterol and that’s why there’s an increase. Remember, cholesterol is good for your health. EVERY cell in your body requires cholesterol to function properly. And, this is especially important for testosterone production. This is also why taking cholesterol lowering “statin” drugs causes lowered libido Muscle loss and weakness Depression Memory loss And other health ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure, alzheimer's, etc. So if you do have high cholesterol - eating eggs isn’t the problem WHEN it’s done correctly and that’s what I’ll tell you in a minute. However, in the description area below this video, I have a link for a simple and 20 year proven solution for lowering high cholesterol naturally - without drugs or even a change in your diet. But you can get that info at the end of this video. Eggs and Testosterone Levels Okay, so getting back to why eggs and cholesterol is so important for testosterone production. First, cholesterol has a similar 4-ring structure to testosterone. And, testosterone is also produced from cholesterol. And the best time have eggs is before bed because most of your testosterone is produced during sleep. So your body will now have enough “fuel” from the cholesterol from the eggs, to maximize production of testosterone while you’re sleeping -- assuming all of your hormones are functioning correctly. The best kind of eggs to have are “pastured” eggs… You want to have about 2-3 eggs a day, again before bed would be the best time. I have 4 or more eggs myself. Do the eggs at night and take specific “testosterone boosting herbs” in the morning and you’ll be set. ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. Drinks to Lower Cholesterol. High levels of bad cholesterol and total cholesterol increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. Total cholesterol takes into account levels of both low-density lipoprotein, or bad cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein, or good cholesterol. According to the Mayo Clinic, your diet plays a critical role in reducing cholesterol levels. Adding particular beverages to your diet may be beneficial. Green Tea Green tea contains the highest levels of antioxidants known as polyphenols. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, several studies show that this beverage can lower LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol levels. It also boosts levels of HDL cholesterol, which sweeps bad cholesterol from your arteries. Researchers believe that green tea’s polyphenols inhibit absorption of cholesterol in the intestines and enhance its excretion from your body. Berry Juice Berries help reduce blood cholesterol levels, but some are more effective than others. In a study conducted by the University of California at Davis, researchers found that fresh berries significantly decreased LDL cholesterol. Blackberries were the most effective, followed by red raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. More research is needed to determine the amount of berries or juice people should consume to lower cholesterol. However, drinking more berry juice on a regular basis may be beneficial. Tart Cherry Juice Tart cherries are loaded with antioxidants that provide several benefits, including reducing cholesterol levels. In a study conducted at the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center, rats that received whole tart cherry powder as part of a high-fat diet had significantly lower levels of cholesterol than other rats. Cherry juice is readily available at supermarkets and natural health stores. However, you can also make your own at home using dried cherries or cherry powder. Ginger Tea Ginger has been used medicinally for centuries to treat health problems such as nausea and diarrhea. Preliminary studies also indicate that it may also help lower cholesterol and prevent atherosclerosis, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center, which recommends not consuming more than 4g of ginger daily. Caution While green tea and ginger tea are generally safe, in some cases they may cause side effects. For instance, drinking too much green tea may cause insomnia, dizziness or irritability. Ginger tea may cause heartburn or stomach upset. Also, these drinks can interact with certain medications. Consult your doctor about consuming these drinks to control your cholesterol levels.
