Make your pet healthier and allergie free by making their food at home. A good siter for foods NOT to feed your dog http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+1659&aid=1030 (((( I am not a vet and you are solely responsible for what you feed your pet )))) As for the recipe: All will depend on the size batch you are making so go by the percentage below. You may alter this according to how you believe you should feed your pet. We use: about 30-40 percent protien (more around 40 right now for the puppy) beef, fish, pork, turkey, chicken. If you dog is itching... just use beef and fish to start with and if they stop or improve add pork next time and see if they are still goog to go. if so try the next protien until you find the one that makes them itch. then don't use that one ever lol. 30 - 40 percent veggies (stear away from corn as it just passes through dogs because their system is to short to absorb it). But if there is a great deal on mixed veggies by all means use it. about 10 percent potatos mixed with sweet potatos or by thereselves. 10 -15 percent jasmine rice. (add about a half a cup extra water and cook slightly longer so the rice is really soft. You can add fruits as well and also veggies like squash and cucumber eggplant etc. Also you can get a multi-vitemin to make sure you are giving them all the vitemins and minerals.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BRZZSQS - homemade dog food 10 tips for making homemade dog food tip 1 - Make sure you chop or grind the vegetables up really well. Keep in mind that dogs have a shorter intestinal tract. They also don't chew their food as much as we do. Both of these factors affect food breakdown and the amount of nutrients being absorbed. Make sure you chop or grind the vegetables up really well. article: http://turtlewoman.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Healthy-Homemade-Dog-Food tip 2 - Poultry, Meats, and Fish Are Excellent Sources of Protein Use protein sources that you would use in your regular diet, but stay away from bean sources of protein such as soy, as well as pork, as they can be difficult for your dog to digest. Choose poultry, and red meats such as beef, lamb, venison or even buffalo. article: How to Find Good Protein Sources for Dogs | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_2212985_find-good-protein-sources-dogs.html#ixzz2MmU0Hnr9 tip 3 -make sure your dog gets enough calcium Calcium is generally one of the deficiency concerns when feeding a homemade dog food recipe diet. Calcium is also found in broccoli, spinach, and kelp seaweed. You may supplement calcium with plain yogurt, cheese, egg shells, and sardines. article: http://turtlewoman.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Healthy-Homemade-Dog-Food tip 4 Add Omega 3 Fatty Acids Into Your Dogs Diet Omega 3 fatty acids are found in salmon fish oil. Omega-3 fatty acids are used to control inflammation and maintain joint health. The most bioavailable Omegs 3 appears to be salmon oil. article: http://www.dogarthritisblog.info/treatment-of-dog-arthritis/a-dog-owner%E2%80%99s-guide-to-omega-3-fatty-acids/ tip 5 Avoid feeding your dog chocolate Chocolate in any form is as dangerous to a dog as caffeine. The darker the chocolate, the higher the danger to the dog. The chemical theobromide present in cocoa can cause damage to the kidneys, heart, lungs and the central nervous system.Typical symptoms include seizures, tremors, and over-excitement, diarrhea, vomiting, hyperthermia, abnormal heart rhythm and coma Tip 6 - Add Probiotics to You Dogs diet for Better Digestion Adding a probiotic to your dog´s food helps reduce gas, control loose stools, help in some cases of diarrhea, and may be helpful in constipation. Probiotics are also suggested for dogs that have skin problems that may be secondary to digestive problems. article: http://drmark1961.hubpages.com/hub/dog-food-supplements Tip 7 A scratching dog is a sign of food allergies Dogs can develop allergies to their food, just like humans can. Of all allergies that dogs experience, about 10% are caused by food. 20% of itching is caused by food allergies and another 20% by food allergies with atopy . article: http://barbara-kay.hubpages.com/hub/Food-Allergies-and-Dogs TIP 8 - FEED YOUR DOG RAW BONES Perhaps you have heard that there are several different types of bones you should never feed your dog. There are a few, but typically any bone in raw form is going to be safe for your dog. Much to most owner's amazement and initial disbelief this includes chicken bones, turkey bones, lamb bones and even oxtails, all fed in a natural raw state. In addition whole fish, including the head, can also be fed to dogs on raw food diets. These bones are known as the soft bones and the dog will actually chew and eat the bone, bone marrow and the attached meat. The only bones to avoid are those that that break into shards. This only happens when they have had their nutrients depleted from heat. article: http://julieannamos.hubpages.com/hub/Bones-To-Feed-Your-Dog# TIP 9 Use brown rice flour in homemade dog food recipes Use of brown rice flour is advised as it is easily digestible.Avoid white flour as there is no worthy nutrient content when compared to whole grain. Flour made from whole grains like rice, wheat, oats, etc can be used. article: http://EzineArticles.com/6453873 Tip 10 - Avoid Soy and By-products According to the Rodale Institute avoid soy because it leads to bloat, which is potentially fatal in dogs. Rodale advises you to skip anything labeled as a "byproduct" because it is a leftover waste product resulting from the removal of the more nutritional aspects of the original product. article: http://pets.thenest.com/veterinary-advice-homemade-dog-food-5621.html dog eating bone phot0 http://s4.hubimg.com/u/1166971_f520.jpg dog with carrot photo http://www.rodale.com/files/images/dog-food-recipes-320.jpg probiotic photo http://www.baselinenutritionals.com/products/probiotics.php For more great homemade dog food information, recipes, and ideas go here now http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BRZZSQS

Cooked/Raw Food for Dogs! What i am feeding allergy prone Pitbull

08:31
Follow us on Instagram: Haloskeeper This video shows just a few things I have been feeding my dog Halo since taking her off of kibble aka commercial dog food... Keep in mind there are many many other options for her this is just what I started out with. She is doing amazing. Her body is healing and that's all we can ask for! I have tried her on so many different commercial so called healthy dog foods and none of them worked out for her. This diet was approved by my veterinarian and it was suggested to me by watching Dr. Karen Beckers videos here on YouTube. she is with Mercola Healthy Pets... Raw is the best diet for a animal hands down but if you cannot do raw then cooking the meat is the second best. This works out for our family and it is working out perfectly for our dog. If you do not agree with cooking I am sorry but it is very healthy for your pets and it was suggested by a holistic vet. so please do not leave any hate!! we have been struggling with food and environmental allergy issues with her since she was a puppy so this is what's best for her and I will not feed her dog food ever again... thank you so much for watching!! Junior is our 2 year old Chocolate Rednose American Pitbull Terrier from the bloodlines of Danger Zone & Boogie Man. Halo is our 5 yr old Bluenose American Pitbull Terrier from the bloodlines of Watchdog & Colby... My Pitbulls are loving, loyal, caring, athletic, determined, incredibly smart, perfect all around family and protection dogs that make our family complete. ♥ I could not imagine my life without them, and I will never be without a Pitbull for as long as I live..... If you are interested in the breed, do lots of research before you commit. This is one of the strongest breeds, despite their body size. They are determined, intelligent, loyal, respectful, gentle yet protective and aggressive if they are not trained and treated properly. A Pitbull puppy is one of the most active, destructive animals that I have ever known but this is ONLY if you let them be. If you train them properly you will have the best all-around family dog there is in the world, hands down! That wild puppy will grow into the most amazing adult you will ever know. They will lay down their lives for you w/out a blink of an eye and you will never feel alone or more protected with a Pitbull. A long cotton training lead (10-12ft) attached to a Pitbull puppy is the best thing that you could ever do. By doing this you can have immediate access to correction and control of a wild Pitbull puppy and they have no choice but to follow you everywhere you go if you simply attach it to yourself. Just put it on them when supervised and let them go about their day.. I still use a lead on my adult when we have company if she won’t settle. As soon as I put it on her she become a completely different calm dog, just like magic! Pitbull puppies need constant care and supervision so if you don’t have the time or energy I strongly caution against getting a puppy. Adopt an adult one that is already trained, they are amazing, resilient and grateful dogs that love nothing but second chances.. Even an adopted adult will still lay his life down for you and your family and love you like no other with the intelligence and loyalty of a Pitbull, you can never go wrong.... God Bless you Haloskeeper♥

Dog Food Recipes for Skin Allergies

01:00
http://www.HomemadeDogFoodRecipesGuide.com Dog Food Recipes for Skin Allergies | Dog Food Recipes for Skin Allergies The best way to know what goes into your dog's food is to make it yourself. With the recent pet food recall, many pet owners are doing just that. Though some experts argue that a homemade diet is best for dogs, this is best done temporarily until you can consult your veterinarian, as canines have definite nutritional requirements. Dietary changes should be done slowly to avoid digestive upsets. Recipes or ingredients may be rotated to ensure nutritional variety. Do not feed your dog bones, especially cooked bones. Fragments can become lodged in the digestive tract. Canines in the wild who eat bones have the benefit of consuming hair and hide too, which have been found to 'pad' the bone fragments and aid in their passing. Other foods to avoid that are dangerous for dogs are chocolate, avocados, mushrooms, macadamia nuts, grapes, raisins, onions, and garlic. Making homemade dog food is a healthy and inexpensive way to feed your beloved pet. Many homemade dog food recipes use the same ingredients that you use to cook for your family, so you won't even have to go out of your way to begin preparing your dog's food at home. Before you start feeding your dog homemade food, you should consult your veterinarian for advice on ingredients, preparation and portion control. http://www.HomemadeDogFoodRecipesGuide.com dog food recipes for skin allergies dog food recipes home made dog food recipe natural dog food recipes homemade dog food recipes raw dog food recipe dog food recipe raw dog food recipes homemade dog food recipe dog food recipes for allergies healthy dog food recipes home made dog food recipes dog food recipes for dogs with allergies homemade dog food skin allergies making dog food recipes homemade dog food recipes for allergies

How to Make Dog Food for Dachshunds

07:32
This is how we make homemade Dog food for our dachshunds "Stella and Merlot" They usually would have kibbles / fish for their Morning meal and the homemade food with boiled brown rice and maybe chicken feet or chicken backbone for their Evening meal. For this video we are using Organic Grass Fed Beef and Organic Vegetables and fresh wheatgrass along with Supplements such as Spirulina and Glucosamine, Barley Grass and Coconut Oil etc, total cost of around 20$SG. Obviously the ingredients can be changed to other meats and vegetables etc, and this can make the total cost a lot lower, often cheaper than most commercial pet food. Thanks for watching. There have been recent recalls on dog food, which have now exposed it as being far from the best option to give to your pet. In many cases these food contain high amounts of fillers, artificial colors as well as unnatural flavors. Homemade Gluten Free Dog Food Recipe (Super Easy to Make)

04:10
Some dogs have to eat gluten free food because of certain allergies or digestive sensitivities that they have. Some owners just prefer to feed their dog this type of diet to mimic the diet that they themselves eat. This homemade gluten free dog food recipe may be just what you're looking for. Read the full review here: https://topdogtips.com/homemade-gluten-free-dog-food-recipe/ In a small casserole dish, layer the cooked rice and vegetables. The vegetables do not need to be cooked. In a small bowl, beat the egg and milk together and pour the mixture over the rice and veggies. Sprinkle the cheese over the top of this homemade gluten free dog food and bake in the 350° for 20 minutes. Once it's done cooking, wait for the food to cool and you can feed it to your pup. I recommend a serving size of about 1/2-3/4 cup of food for every 25 pounds of body weight. This serving size is estimated based on a twice-per-day feeding schedule.

Easy Homemade Healthy Dog Food Starring our Westie Mia! Jacob's New Adventures

07:26
Our Westie (West Highland Terrier) is 7 now and I've always given her Blue Buffalo dog food because it had such great ingredients but I always had a really hard time getting her to eat it and she seemed sick to her stomach a lot. I finally decided to stop the Blue Buffalo and make our own homemade healthy dog food for her and see if she would get better. I did research on the internet and found different ideas and just put together my own dog food that I thought she would like. I made it and she went crazy for it and has been eating it everyday for probably two years now. Her stomach issues ended and she is always excited to eat now. Westies tend to have skin issues and my westie does so I choose to give her tuna in her food to help with that. Recipe for 2-3 days worth of dog food twice a day: 2 cups of Jasmine rice made in the rice cooker 4 cups of water 1 can of green beans (do not include liquid) 1 can of a mixture of peas & carrots (drain) Small can of pumpkin (or you can buy a big can and divide) 2 cans of tuna in water Sometimes I will put sweet potatoes instead of pumpkin but she likes pumpkin better. Add all of these ingredients to the cooked rice and mix. If you want to cook down the green beans, carrots, and peas before you add to cooked rice you can do that too. I don't really measure it out but just put some on a paper plate and give it to her in the morning and another in the evening.

Lamb & Rice homemade dog food for allergies 💕🐶👌

01:01
This Homemade Dog Food for Allergies recipe is great for dogs that are active, maintaining a healthy coat and has common protein allergies. This recipe combines lamb, rice and sunflower oil providing active dogs with a long lasting low fat meal. INGREDIENTS: 3 lbs (raw weight), lamb, cooked 4 1/2 lbs rice, cooked 7 teaspoon sunflower oil 1/2 cup Azestfor Homemade Dog Food Vitamins YIELD: This recipe will yield approximately 7 3/4 lbs of food. Equating to 5,299 calories (Kcals) Approximately enough servings of food for one week for an 30 lb dog to maintain weight. STEP 1 In a large skillet or pot place cubed or ground lamb. Add just enough water to cover. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer gently for about 30 minutes or until lamb is cooked. Remove from heat. Drain excess liquid. STEP 2 Place rice in a saucepan with double the amount of water. Bring to the boil, then turn the heat all the way down and cover the pan tightly with a lid. Cook on the lowest heat possible for 10-15 mins without uncovering the pan. Use a fork to fluff up the cooked rice. STEP 3 Sunflower oil is added as a source of linoleic acid. If you would like a substitute oil you can add Wheat germ, Walnut or Corn oil in the amount of 1.2 teaspoons. When the lamb, and rice are cool to touch you can add the Azestfor nutritional supplements and sunflower oil. Combine all ingredients and serve. Heat destroys the potency of vitamins. STORAGE The recipe can be prepared in large batches and frozen. It will keep for up to a year in the freezer, or one week in the fridge. Freezing vitamins preserves their potency. I would recommend portioning the food into meal size servings before freezing it. To defrost a frozen meal – put it in the fridge overnight. FEEDING GUIDELINES: We suggest dividing the daily amount into two servings, one in the morning and one in the evening. Every dog’s nutritional requirements are a little bit different due to age & amount of exercise. If your dog is losing weight, increase food by 1/4 cup a day, if they are gaining weight reduce accordingly. Homemade Dog Food: A Recipe of Canine Allergies

01:45
► http://homemadedogfoodrecipes.aedvz.com ◄ LEARN HOW TO MAKE THE BEST & MOST DELICIOUS FOODS TO YOUR DOG NOW!!! Homemade Dog Food: A Recipe of Canine Allergies Does your dog have skin and allergy issues? It might not be an environmental factor that is affecting him or her. The vast majority of dog owners feed their pets commercially processed dog food. The commercial dog food industry has seen tremendous growth in the last 30 years. It has truly become an industry with a driving purpose and focus of making a profit. Health and well-being is not their mission focus. It is actually easier and more profitable for commercial dog food companies to spend a lot of money and resources on creative marketing and branding than it is on quality. Images of chicken and beef surrounded by fresh vegetables with happy and vibrant dogs being attended to by doting owners is what consumers have been conditioned to see, and believe is the experience they will have by feeding a particular brand. Unfortunately for our dogs and us, those images and ideals are far from reality. A commercial based diet is the poorest dietary option available to you and your pet. Dog food companies love to show us images that conjure up optimal health and well-being, but that's not an accurate portrayal of what is really happening. If they used images of what actually goes into the making a bag of dog food, that would scare most of us from ever purchasing and feeding a single nugget to our dogs ever again. The meats used in commercial grade dog foods come from the poorest sources available, sources so low in quality that they should be destroyed and not used in any type of food. But even that poor source of protein is used only in a small dose. You see the meat is actually only used as part of a shell game played by the dog food companies. They need to be able to say that there is meat in their product and that it is high in protein. What they are not telling you is that the real protein source for their kibble is plant-based. The true source of protein is provided through soy, soybean meal, soy flour, corn gluten meal, wheat gluten and brewers rice and not actually the images of fresh meats and veggies on the outside of the bag Protein is protein, right? Wrong, and when it comes to our canines it definitely is not. Most of the protein comes from soy and soy products as well as grains. Dogs cannot digest grains and soy is horrible for their immune systems and kidney function. Dog food companies over load their products with preservatives, dyes, and salt. Dyes and preservatives make dogs over eat, leading to weight gain. The grains and gluten make kibble high in carbohydrates, which lead to weight gain as well. The grains, gluten, soy and preservatives are a perfect cocktail for itchy skin and allergic conditions. It is very common to hear stories of people getting their dogs off of kibble and feeding healthy homemade dog food only to see incredible results. No more constant itching, hot spots, weight lose, more energy, better breath, less waste and a host of other benefits. As humans we once ate raw food, and at that time it was best suited for our physiology. Our obsolete appendixes are evidence of our ancient eating habits. Dogs are no different; they once ate raw food in the wild. Then they became domesticated animals and evolved very much the way we did. Their bodies are very much accustomed to eating the way we eat. The concept of feeding dogs "dog food" in relation to the time they have been living with man is a very new one, and only been a practice for a very small fraction of their existence. Dogs are no more meant to eat "dog food" than we are meant to eat TV dinners and fast food our entire lives. We know that as humans eating a healthy balanced diet is optimal to our well-being and that if we indulge on foods that are unhealthy for us there will be consequences. It's the same scenario with our dogs, feeding them kibble versus a natural diet of homemade prepared meals with ingredients that are optimal to their well-being has its consequences. The days of dog owners getting their guidance on what's best for their pets from giant pet food conglomerates is becoming less and less. Many dog owners are learning about proper nutrition and care for their canines, and it begins with the most basic and fundamental practice, what you feed him or her. science diet dog food dog food storage dog food container innova dog food dog food coupons high quality dog food kirkland dog food dog food recipes healthy dog food dog food ratings best dry dog food canidae dog food best puppy food dog biscuits best cat food dog biscuit recipes dog meat canned cat food homemade dog food recipes natural dog food raw dog food dog food analysis

Flour made from whole grains like rice, wheat, oats, etc can be used. article: http://EzineArticles.com/6453873 Tip 10 - Avoid Soy and By-products According to the Rodale Instituteavoid soy because it leads to bloat, which is potentially fatal in dogs.
