7 Best supplements that will clean your arteries naturally at home

7 Best supplements that will clean your arteries naturally at home : Heart attacks are caused by the blood supply to the heart being suddenly interrupted. Without this supply, heart muscles may be damaged and begin to die. fatty deposits called plaque buildup in your arteries, they can narrow the vessels and raise your risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease. Several supplements are available that, over time, might help dissolve plaque and improve the function of your arteries, lowering your risk of chronic circulatory problems. Here are 7supplements that can help you unclog your arteries 1. Take fish oil supplements. If you don’t like fish or don’t have access to fish, you can simply take fish oil supplements to help get omega-3 fats. Look for fish oils that contain EPA and DHA oils. Although you might expect consuming fat to increase arterial plaque, omega-3 fatty acids may help slow plaque deposition and, over time, reduce its amount, according to experts at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Consuming supplements containing these unsaturated, healthy fatty acids can lower levels of blood triglycerides while raising levels of HDL, helping to keep your blood cholesterol in a healthy range. They may also help prevent inflammation of the arterial lining and reduce the risk of blood clots, both of which promote plaque deposits. 2. Take psyllium supplements. If you have difficulty getting enough fiber from foods, you can take psyllium supplements. Psyllium is a water-soluble fiber available in pill and powder forms. 3. Increase soy protein through supplements. Soy proteins are commonly available as powders that you can mix into a variety of foods and beverages (juices, smoothies, etc.). Several studies have shown that soy protein supplementation can have a beneficial effect on your cholesterol levels. 4. Take niacin supplements. You can also take niacin (vitamin B3) to help lower cholesterol levels. However, talk to your physician and monitor niacin supplementation closely. Common side effects at high doses include: • Flushing of the skin • Stomach upset • Headaches • Dizziness • Blurred vision • Increased risk of liver damage 5. Garlic Supplement. Garlic isn't just a culinary herb but is also a useful supplement if you're concerned about arterial plaque and atherosclerosis, according to evidence summarized at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Garlic contains a compound that's converted into allicin when cloves are crushed. Allicin could help lower blood levels of cholesterol by suppressing a liver enzyme that makes cholesterol. This eventually reduces plaque so You can simply add more fresh garlic to your food or take garlic supplements if you don’t enjoy garlic in foods. 6. Take plant sterol supplements. Beta-sitosterol and sitostanol are two additional supplements that may have a positive impact on cholesterol. You can find these options in supplement form at most vitamin shops or health food stores. 7. Take coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ-10) supplements. CoQ-10 is an essential nutrient used to treat a variety of heart and blood vessel conditions. It can also counteract muscle pain resulting from other cholesterol-lowering medications called “statins.” Consider taking CoQ-10 if your doctor has prescribed one of these medications. check out my other similar videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFE8MFBZURI 😍 15 Foods That Unclog Arteries Naturally And Protect Against Heart Attack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-yVQyl2k4s 😍 7 Lifestyle Changes That Will Clean Your Arteries Naturally And Protect You From Heart Attack NOTE: The materials and the information contained onNatural ways channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. Vitamin B or Thiamine

02:32
Hi, I'm Dr. Jared Nielsen. I'd like to talk today about the importance of a vitamin called thiamine or B1. B1 is very, very important for liver function, especially for people who have a history of alcoholism. It's quickly depleted in the system and is essential for that person to be repleted, if you will, their B1 vitamin. There are a lot of people that don't think, "I am really an alcoholic or I don't really have a drinking problem." What's interesting is they'll start to manifest some of the symptomatology of B1 deficiency, peripheral neuropathies, sensitivity or hyper‑sensitivity in the legs and feet. These are very commonly overlapped with diabetics. Diabetics also would get that type of symptomatology as the liver becomes congested or a fatty infiltrated liver. When we look at blood labs, a lot patients will actually say, when we see cholesterol levels going up and triglyceride levels matching or even exceeding that they don't drink alcohol. What we see a lot of times is that they're chronic soda pop abusers. Without naming specifically different brands or types of soda drinks, what we find is people who have a daily soda pop actually will start to also have fatty infiltrated livers and their thiamine levels can start to go down. Equally is important is when we have patients that have eating disorders that begin to experience metallic taste in their mouth is associated with the gall bladder but it also as an indication of thiamine or B1 deficiency... http://thenielsenclinic.com/videos/vitamin-b-or-thiamine

Supplements To Lower Cholesterol Tips

02:29
One way to lower cholesterol is with supplements. Choosing a good supplement should know the ingredients in the supplement. Here are some tips before you buy supplements for cholesterol : Fish oil. It can help lower triglyceride levels by 30%, thanks to the omega-3 they have in them such as EPA and DHA. You will need a high dose - 2-4 grams of fish oil EPA and DHA per day. Ask your doctor about a safe and effective way to try. Psyllium. Fiber is a cholesterol-buster large and part of a healthy diet. Fiber also helps to lower triglycerides and total cholesterol, especially for people with diabetes type 2. If you do not, or can not, get enough fiber from foods - such as vegetables, fruits, and grains - psyllium can fill the void. This will whisk away the cholesterol, but like other fibers, can make you need to go to the bathroom more often or cause constipation if you do not also increase your water intake. Soy protein supplements. Soy can lower total cholesterol and LDL a little. Eating soy protein instead of animal protein (such as meat and full fat milk) will also help. Niacin. Vitamin B can raise HDL "good" cholesterol and LDL "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides - but only use them if your doctor advised you to. Red rice yeast. This supplement has the same active ingredient found in cholesterol-lowering statin drugs. However, the FDA has classified as a drug and has banned the sale as a supplement in the United States, saying it needs more regulation because of side effects. Remember, that before deciding to buy and use a supplement, it is better that you consult your doctor, in order to get the best results. We wish you healthy always. Which Vitamins Help to Fight a Fatty Liver

02:46
http://bit.ly/fattylr Which Vitamins Help to Fight a Fatty Liver Fatty liver disease, the development of fat deposits in your liver tissue, can develop due to alcohol abuse, while non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, or NAFLD, is not linked to excessive alcohol consumption. While vitamins can't necessarily treat a fatty liver, they might help limit liver damage or reduce your risk or fatty liver disease. Vitamin E The inflammation associated with fatty liver disease causes the liver tissues to become abnormally stiff and fibrous. As this progresses, the liver can be permanently damaged and unable to do its job, which is to produce substances for use in food digestion, manage red blood cell reprocessing, store vitamins, build proteins and clear toxins such as alcohol and bacteria out of your system. Vitamin C Vitamin C is another antioxidant. Niacin Niacin might also help fight fatty liver disease. It helps lower high triglyceride levels in your blood, explains the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Visit the website. Can I Overdose on Vitamin D?

Yes, you can overdose by taking high amounts of vitamin D3 without vitamin K2 and end up with hypercalcemia (high blood calcium). Vitamin K2 takes calcium from the soft tissue and from the blood and sticks it into the bone. If a person is taking lots of vitamin D with calcium, then it's even worst. The symptoms of too much calcium can be vomiting, kidney stones, abdominal pain, depression, frequent urination, extra thirst and heart problems. For years doctors have mistakenly told their patients (you) that you only need 400-800 IU of Vitamin D daily (if they even mention it at all). Niacin effects on Cholesterol (Mechanism of Action)

02:20
See Text below for more information about Niacin and its effects on Lipids overall. Niacin (or Nicotinic Acid) is a form of vitamin B3. Niacin is one of the essential nutrients for the human body. Niacin deficiency can cause pellagra, while insufficient niacin in the diet can cause nausea, skin and mouth lesions, anemia, headaches, and tiredness. A recommended daily allowance of niacin would be 2–12 mg/day for children, 14 mg/day for women, 16 mg/day for men, and 18 mg/day for pregnant or breast-feeding women. Niacin in much higher doses than those recommended as daily dietary allowance is a potent agent against Dyslipidaemia. In doses as high as 1.500 - 2.000mg is proven to reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol by 20%, increase HDL (good) Cholesterol by 30%, and also reduce Triglycerides by almost 40%. It is also proven to reduce the atherogenic fraction of LDL: Lp(a), and apolipoprotein Apo-B (which is the carrier of lipids in LDL-C). Two large studies have been conducted with these doses of Niacin with patients under treatment with Statins. (AIM-HIGH & HPS2-THRIVE). These studies concluded that there is no added cardiovascular benefit by concomitant use of high doses of Niacin along with statin treatment, when LDL-C levels are already very low. It seems though that Niacin treatment is effective in patients not treated with statins. Niacin in such high doses can cause Flushing. Another form of vitamin B3 is Nicotinamide, but only Niacin has been found to have this strong effect on dyslipidaemia.

Cholesterol (Part 4): Bad Cholesterol (LDL) is NOT Bad!

Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. LDL is not cholesterol, Low density lipoprotein is a protein that shuttles cholesterol and triglycerides. LDL is the carrier that transports cholesterol from the liver to the vessels and cells and HDL transports the cholesterol from the arteries back to the liver. The body makes 3000 mg of cholesterol. Why? 1. Makes cell membranes 2. Antioxidant properties 3. Anti-inflammatory properties 4. Makes vitamin D 5. Helps you make bile thus extracting fat soluble vitamins 6. Makes cortisol 7. Makes sex hormones (testosterone, estrogen, etc. AND 8. Helps the body respond to crisis (infection) 9. It binds and inactivates bacterial toxins 10. Helps inhibit the damage from microbes 11. Acts as a band-aid to help in the healing of the endothelium layer. There are 2 types of LDL. Type A (large buoyant) *normal, not involved in damage repair. *last 2 days in the body Type B (small dense) *because these are small, they can enter the damaged wall of the artery and are involved in the clotting and plaquing. *last 5 days Look at your triglycerides - if they are high and your HDL is low, then you have more type B LDL. But if your triglycerids are low and high HDL, then you have type a. Saturated fats will increase type A and sugars will increase type B. LOW CARB, HIGH DIET DIETS CAN SWITCH YOUR TYPE B TO TYPE A. Why would someone have too much LDL pattern B 1. Sugar 2. Cortisol 3. Vegetable oil (soy and corn) 4. Trans fats (hydrogenated fats) 5. Low vitamin C 6. Glycation (adding glucose/fructose with protein and fat): donuts, fries, carmelization, dark soda. Fructose cause 10X more glycation. 7. Surgery 8. Please Be Sure to Subscribe for 3x Videos Per Week! http://www.thomasdelauer.com How to Lower Cholesterol: LDL vs. HDL- Thomas DeLauer... Good vs. Bad Cholesterol: LDL cholesterol is not bad. HDL is not cholesterol and neither is LDL. “High” and “low” refer to the relative proportion of protein to fat in the bundle. HDL stands for High Density Lipoprotein. LDL stands for Low Density Lipoprotein. (There are three other lipoproteins; chylomicrons, VLDL and IDL) Cholesterol and fat are not water-soluble so they need to be carried around the body in something to do their vital work. The carriers of such substances are called lipoproteins. (4) Lipoproteins: Lipoproteins travel round the bloodstream and act as transporters. So LDL and HDL are carriers of cholesterol, as well as triglycerides and phospholipids and proteins. LDL is the carrier of fresh cholesterol and HDL is the carrier of recycled cholesterol. VLDL, LDL, and HDL: The liver is central to the regulation of cholesterol levels in the body. Not only does it synthesize cholesterol for export to other cells, but it also removes cholesterol from the body by converting it to bile salts and putting it into the bile where it can be eliminated in the feces. Chylomicrons and VLDL deliver TAG to cells in the body. Two types of lipoproteins are triglyceride-rich: the chylomicrons and VLDL. Chylomicrons are synthesized by enterocytes from lipids absorbed in the small intestine. VLDL is synthesized in the liver. The function of these lipoproteins is to deliver energy-rich triacylglycerol (TAG) to cells in the body (pink pathway). TAG is stripped from chylomicrons and VLDL through the action of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that is found on the surface of endothelial cells. HDL is involved in reverse cholesterol transport. Excess cholesterol is eliminated from the body via the liver, which secretes cholesterol in bile or converts it to bile salts. The liver removes LDL and other lipoproteins from the circulation by receptor-mediated endocytosis. It travels in the circulation where it gathers cholesterol to form mature HDL, which then returns the cholesterol to the liver via various pathways. LDL delivers cholesterol to cells in the body. As VLDL particles are stripped of triacylglycerol, they become more dense. These particles are remodeled at the liver and transformed into LDL. The function of LDL is to deliver cholesterol to cells, where it is used in membranes, or for the synthesis of steroid hormones. Cells take up cholesterol by receptor-mediated endocytosis. LDL binds to a specific LDL receptor and is internalized in an endocytic vesicle. Receptors are recycled to the cell surface, while hydrolysis in an endolysosome releases cholesterol for use in the cell. LDL is what we call a carrier protein, and one of its important jobs is to carry a fundamentally important chemical to every cell in the body. This chemical is a critical component of cell membranes, serves as a brain antioxidant, and is the raw material from which your body manufactures vitamin D, cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Study - The British Medical Journal (BMJ): The research team — comprised of experts from seven different countries — evaluated data collected from 19 studies on a total of 68,094 older adults. The team was seeking to determine if LDL cholesterol is associated with death in the older adults. According to the cholesterol hypothesis, it should directly relate. According to the BMJ study, it doesn’t. Researchers say almost 80 percent of the participants in the studies who had high LDL cholesterol did not die because of their cholesterol level. On the other hand, researchers discovered people with low levels of LDL cholesterol, or LDL-C, had the highest rates of death related to cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. 05:29
According to one study carried out by the University of Pennsylvania, unsaturated fats in avocados might help support bad cholesterol levels to prevent blocked arteries. This is simply one thing that takes place when you consume avocado every day. A lot of people are fretted about their cholesterol levels. This lipid, present in blood, can collect in big quantities, producing a number of cardiovascular issues that put your health at risk. In some ways, cholesterol carries out a necessary function in physical functions making numerous essential organs function optimally. However, due to a poor diet plan, cholesterol levels might increase to relatively unsafe levels. Among the most worrisome things, as what happens with other illness, is that in the beginning it could be fairly hard to identify without particular symptoms. In fact, countless people today are believed to struggle with high cholesterol, without even understanding it. The good news is that thanks to different studies, we understand that making dietary modifications and assuming a healthy way of life can be one of the very best solutions for keeping it under control and reducing your risks. One study released in the Journal of the American Heart Association revealed that if you eat avocado every day you might keep bad cholesterol levels under control. The research study : Researchers at Penn State University suggested replacing saturated fatty acids, which are present in many diets, with unsaturated fats which you get when you eat avocado. They likewise considered that for the past few years, individuals have actually been encouraged to eat monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats to lower the threat of establishing heart diseases caused by high cholesterol. Hydrogenated fats are what raise cholesterol levels and increase the risk of blocked arteries and lethal illness, like heart attacks or strokes. Researchers examined exactly what results avocados have on cardiovascular risk factors, knowing that they are one of the greatest unsaturated-fat-containing fruits around. To obtain their outcomes, they substituted saturated fats in the diet plans of 45 healthy patients that were obese or overweight, between the ages of 21 and 70. The volunteers started by consuming a high saturated fat diet for 2 weeks. They then followed three types of diet plans, reducing the quantity of saturated fat: One low-fat diet, without avocados One moderate-fat diet without avocados One moderate-fat diet, while consuming one avocado a day The results : After finishing their analysis, the scientists determined that LDL cholesterol levels were minimized by including one avocado a day into their diets. In total, numbers were lowered by 13.5 mg/dl, compared with 8.3 mg/dl in those who took in a moderate-fat diet plan without avocado, or 7.4 mg/dl in the low-fat diet plan. They also discovered that when you consume avocado, it has a favorable impact on cholesterol and triglyceride control. The conclusions : After seeing the surprising outcomes, the researchers highlighted the importance that more research studies were required in order to figure out if these effects were the same in other populations. They did, nevertheless, show that unsaturated fats in avocados could produce a heart-healthy diet, undoubtedly while being supported by highly nutritious foods. Healthy fats, micronutrients, and bioactive components consisted of in avocados are accountable for these essential cardiovascular advantages. Cent Kris Etherton, among the scientists, has ensured that she wishes to continue researching to identify more precisely exactly what bioactive elements are contained in avocados, in addition to their results on the body. Eat avocado, a healthy food : In spite of the fact that avocados had a bad credibility for several years due to their high calories and fat content, they are presently thought about to be among the most total and healthy foods around. They can be added to your day-to-day diet, always in small amounts. In addition to the useful fats currently discussed, this popular fruit also includes fiber, vitamin E, vitamin B, folic acid, and more than twice the quantity of potassium in bananas. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Despite having a BAD reputation as a high-risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, cholesterol is an ESSENTIAL component of all animal cells. It is an INTEGRAL part of the cell membrane, providing membrane FLUIDITY and participating in a number of cellular processes. Cholesterol also serves as a PRECURSOR for production of bile, steroid hormones, and vitamin D. While the body can obtain cholesterol from food, many cells SYNTHESIZE their own ENDOGENOUS cholesterol. Cellular production of cholesterol is under NEGATIVE FEEDBACK control. LOW levels of intracellular cholesterol INDUCE its own production, while HIGH cholesterol levels INHIBIT it. Cholesterol, together with other lipids, is transported in blood plasma within large particles known as LIPOPROTEINS. A lipoprotein is an assembly of lipids and proteins. Lipoproteins are classified based on their DENSITY. Because lipids are LIGHTER than proteins, particles that contain MORE lipids are LARGER in size but have LOWER density. Different types of lipoproteins have different sets of proteins on their surface. These proteins serve as “ADDRESS tags”, determining the DESTINATION, and hence FUNCTION, of each lipoprotein. For example, LOW-density lipoprotein, LDL, carries cholesterol FROM the liver to other tissues, while HIGH-density lipoprotein, HDL, RETURNS excess cholesterol TO the liver. Major events in cholesterol metabolism include: - Dietary cholesterol ABSORBED in the intestine and carried in chylomicron to the liver. - The liver PACKAGES its cholesterol pool - a combination of endogenous and dietary - together with triglycerides, another type of lipid, into particles of VERY-LOW-density lipoprotein, VLDL. - VLDL travels in bloodstream to other organs. During circulation, muscle and adipose tissues EXTRACT triglycerides from VLDL, turning it into LOW-density lipoprotein, LDL. - Peripheral cells TAKE UP LDL by endocytosis, using LDL receptor. Cholesterol is used in cell membrane and other functions. - EXCESS cholesterol is exported from the cells and delivered to HIGH-density lipoprotein, HDL, to be RETURNED to the liver in a process called REVERSE cholesterol transport. - The liver uses cholesterol to produce BILE; bile is secreted to the intestine, where it helps break down fats. Part of this bile is EXCRETED in feces; the rest is RECYCLED back to the liver. LDL has the highest cholesterol content and is the MAJOR carrier of cholesterol in the blood. High levels of LDL in the blood are associated with cholesterol plaque build-up and cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes. For this reason, LDL is known as “BAD” cholesterol. On the other hand, HDL is called “GOOD” cholesterol, because it REMOVES EXCESS cholesterol from tissues and bloodstream. Common drugs used to LOWER cholesterol include: INHIBITORS of endogenous cholesterol PRODUCTION; INHIBITORS of intestinal cholesterol ABSORPTION; and INHIBITORS of bile reuptake.

Ketogenic Dieting May Increase Your Cholesterol: Don’t Panic- Thomas DeLauer

Maybe your doctor's telling you that you're doing something terribly wrong. Maybe he's telling you you need to get off that ketogenic diet because your cholesterol levels are high. Maybe you're just scared. Maybe you're just concerned as to why they're higher, or maybe you're trying to be proactive and trying to understand why they might get higher. In this video, I'm going to help you understand that higher levels of cholesterol on a ketogenic diet could very well mean a very, very good and rather cool thing. You see, we have to remember that we're on a ketogenic diet. Everything is surrounding fats. We're eating a lot of fats, we're metabolizing fats, we're going to have more lipids and we're going to have more cholesterols in the bloodstream, plain and simple. We have to remember that. What's interesting is that higher levels of cholesterol on a ketogenic diet are being linked and associated with weight loss. Believe it or not, once weight loss starts and fatty acid metabolism really kicks in, we see an increase in cholesterol. So it usually means that you're having an influx of weight loss occurring at that very point in time. You see, as fat starts to break down, cholesterol goes up, and it has to do with the fact that triglycerides are mobilized and they end up getting broken down into fuel but the cholesterol just kind of hangs out. The cholesterol doesn't really get burned for fuel. It's not metabolized like that. It's not energy. So what it does, it ends up sitting in the bloodstream, waiting to get recycled by the liver. It's not doing anything good or doing anything bad. It's just elevated and it's usually indicative of the fact that your body is using a little bit more fat for fuel at that very point in time. So you will find it's a temporary increase and once the weight loss starts to plateau a little bit and starts to slow down, your cholesterol levels will probably start to come down. You've probably seen an increase in both your HDL and your LDL, and it just has to do with the fact that both of them are mobilized. On that note, we have to understand HDL and LDL and the relationship with ketosis, and once you understand this, everything's going to make a lot more sense and I can almost guarantee you're going to come out of this video overall feeling a lot less stressed out about this situation. First off, HDL and LDL, they're not even cholesterols. They're transport vehicles. They deliver cholesterols. So you've got high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein. Low density lipoprotein, the "bad cholesterol" delivers nutrients. It delivers cholesterol, delivers fat and fat-soluble nutrients to the cell. Very important, but for some reason it gets a bad rap. Then we have HDL. HDL's job is to go around and pick up waste particles or used LDL, particles of LDL, and take them back to the liver for recycling. So somewhere along the lines, messages got going to confused. For some reason we think that LDL is bad because it's delivering fat, even though it's totally important. For some reason we think that purely recycling that fat is the only good thing that should be occurring. Lose Weight, Lower Cholesterol and Blood Sugar With Just An Avocado a Day why? because Without a doubt, avocado is a lot of people’s favorite fruit, and this isn’t the case with Americans only, but with people from many other countries as well. This tasty fruit contains a lot of nutrients and so it offers numerous health-benefits. Additionally, numerous studies have shown that people who consume avocados regularly have lower Body-Mass-Index and better nutrient intake when compared to those who don’t eat avocados frequently. Here is what 1 Avocado a day can do to your body. 1.It’s a Healthy fat The avocado is virtually the only fruit that has monounsaturated fat (good-fat). According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, good-fats are those that can lower bad-cholesterol levels, reduce the risk of heart-attack and stroke. So instead of mayonnaise why not spread some Avocado on your toast and sandwiches. 2.Helps lose weight According to a study published in the Nutrition Journal, ½ avocado with lunch can be of great help for overweight individuals as it keeps you satiated for a longer period of time. According to the participants in the study, they had 40% lesser desire for eating for more than 3-hours and 28% lesser desire for eating 5-hours after a meal. 3. Reduces Cholesterol level Statistically speaking, 1 in 3 American adults suffer from problems related to high cholesterol levels which only double the risk of cardiovascular diseases. However, there are natural ways to lower high cholesterol-levels. Studies have shown that regular consumption of avocado is an excellent way to decrease cholesterol-levels. Avocado has the amazing power to lower blood-triglycerides and cholesterol levels, as well as to lower LDL cholesterol levels and to increase HDL levels. 4.Avocardo is rich in nutrients Avocados have an abundance of nutrients and each serving has more than 20-vitamins and minerals. Through consumption of one avocado you intake the following recommended daily values: 33% of vitamin-C, 21% of vitamin-E, 26% of vitamin-B6, 53% of vitamin-K, 19% of copper, 41% of folate, 28% of potassium, and 28% of pantothenic-acid. 5.Prevents diabetes According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at one point in our lives, diabetes is going to affect around 40% of people in USA. In order to minimize this risk, you must balance your blood-sugar levels. One study showed that participants who were given ½ avocado with their lunch, and had their insulin and blood-glucose levels checked at intervals, raised their carb and calorie intake, but showed no increase in the blood-sugar levels, unlike those who didn’t consume an avocado with lunch 6.Improves Bone health Avocados are rich in Vitamin-K, folate, copper, and numerous other nutrients. When regularly consumed, avocados help in the building and maintenance of strong bones. 7.Helps in Digestion Avocados keep the digestive-system working smoothly. A single avocado has 13 grams fiber which is 54% of the daily recommended fiber. 8.It is Anti-Carcinogenic According to a study, avocado may be helpful in inhibiting or stopping prostate-cancer cell growth. Another study pointed out that avocados can be significant in the reduction of chemotherapy side-effects. Smart Tips - Lower Your Cholesterol Naturally by Dr. Allen Peters

03:29
Dr. Allen Peters, Healthy Aging and Culinary Medicine Expert at http://NourishingWellness.com, shares his smart tip about 5 ways to lower your cholesterol naturally, without conventional medications. "Smart Tips" is produced by Geffner Productions. Please visit http://GeffnerProductions.com to find out how to become a featured on-camera expert in your very own series of "Smart Tips" videos. Transcript: Do you worry about your cholesterol creeping up and you want to avoid using the pharmaceutical, anti-cholesterol drugs, such as statin drugs, with the side effects that they have? Well, my smart tip is going to teach you how to regulate and lower your cholesterol naturally. Before I get to my "Smart Tips" on how to lower and regulate cholesterol naturally, I want to make one very important point and that is cholesterol is a vitally important substance for every single cell in your body. It is your friend, not your foe. It is used for many normal functions. It is important in controlling inflammation, as a response to inflammation. It is not inflammatory itself. This is very misunderstood. Cholesterol is also the substrate for all your sex hormones: for your cortisol, for your Vitamin D, for Coenzyme Q10, which is an essential energy molecule for your entire body. If you have been told by your doctor or you have done some investigating yourself and you feel that your cholesterol level is definitely too high, then here are the natural things that you can do. Number one, exercise. Get that fat off. Your fat creates cholesterol itself. Get down to your ideal body weight. Number two, avoid grains and sugars and too much alcohol. This can raise your triglyceride level. Number three, enjoy three to four servings a day of high fiber foods such as vegetables, fruits and flax seed meal. Number four, have several servings of healthy fats every day. Healthy fats means nuts, avocado, flax seed meal or olive oil. Or fish, preferably wild-caught fish, or grass-fed beef. These are all high in Omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for all your membranes and help lower your cholesterol. And by the way, you can even enjoy a couple of eggs a week, including the yolks. Lastly, there are many natural supplements that you can use, that will also lower your cholesterol before you have to resort to a statin drug. One of them is Red Yeast Rice, which is a natural statin drug, the basis of all the statin drugs, it's just not so concentrated so it's unlikely to have so many side effects. And I always recommend you use Coenzyme Q10 if you are taking a statin drug or if you're even taking Red Yeast Rice because these deplete the Coenzyme Q10, as I mentioned earlier. And then you can take, besides eating fish, fish oil and we almost always recommend that to everybody and it does help lower your cholesterol. The last one that I go to before going to a statin drug is Niacin. Niacin is a natural B vitamin, B3 which is wonderful for lowering cholesterol and raising your HDL which is your good cholesterol. So between all of these things that I have mentioned to you today, it's very very rare that I have to resort to using an anti-cholesterol statin drug. Enjoy wonderful food and lowering your cholesterol naturally. I'm Dr. Allen Peters, expert in healthy aging and culinary medicine. How An Inexpensive Vitamin Halted Cholesterol Issues Among Women

03:30
http://www.VitaminDCouponCodes.com How An Inexpensive Vitamin Halted Cholesterol Issues Among Women? A recent study has shown that taking vitamin d and calcium after reaching menopause can lower the cholesterol levels amongst women. Much of that effect has been tied to consuming higher levels of vitamin D, based on a study made by the Women's Health Institute or the WHI, which is by The North American Menopause Society or NAMS. Though the question of whether it's calcium alone or vitamin D, or perhaps the combination of both, is responsible for improving cholesterol levels has been debated for many years, a recent study made by the NAMS board of trustees hoped to study the effects of Vitamin D, andby doing so, settle these questions once and for all. The women within the WHI trial were made to take either a supplement containing 1,000 mg of calcium and 400 IU of vitamin D3 or a placebo. This analysis looked at the relationship between taking supplements and levels of vitamin D and cholesterol in some 600 of the women who had both their cholesterol levels and their vitamin D levels measured. It was found out that the women who took the calcium and vitamin D supplements were twice as likely to have vitamin D levels of at least 30 ng/mL, which are the normal vitamin D levels according to the Institute of Medicine. This was as opposed to the women who took the placebo. Supplement users were also found to have lower levels of low-density lipoprotein, otherwise known as the "bad" cholesterol, that were between 4 and 5 points lower than those who took the placebo. In addition to these findings, the researchers discovered that among the supplement users, those with higher blood levels of vitamin D had higher levels of high-density lipoprotein, which is the "good" cholesterol, and lower levels of triglycerides, although for the triglycerides to be lower, blood levels of vitamin D had to reach a threshold of about 15 ng/mL and lower. According to the authors, though these findings do not automatically mean that consuming calcium or vitamin D translates to an effective decrease in the rate of cardiovascular failure, or whether vitamin D deficiency could be a factor in higher levels of bad cholesterol, the authors do believe that the study's results is a good reminder that women at higher risk for vitamin D deficiency should consider taking a quality calcium and vitamin D supplement such as our PLAINTUM Series Vitamin D3, which delivers 5,000 IU of vitamin D in each pill. "The results of this study should inspire even more women to be conscientious about their calcium and vitamin D intake—a simple and safe way to improve health. One action can lead to multiple benefits!" says NAMS Executive Director Margery Gass, MD. It’s water soluble vitamin and an essential nutrient for our body. It is required to synthesize a compound called Coenzyme-A (CoA), which is used to break down fats and sugars for energy. More generally, it is used by the body to help synthesize and metabolize carbs, fats and proteins. It’s used by the body to create red blood cells, which carry oxygen around our body as well as cortisol, a stress hormone. In this video I talk about vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid. Some of the potential benefits include lowering cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL and HDL cholesterol; help with Wound healing, Rheumatoid Arthritis, diabetes and complications including ulcers and peripheral neuropathy, improving athletic performance, skin problems, allergies, asthma, carpal tunnel syndrome, colitis, depression, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and many others.
