Today is 1 month without salt. When I say no salt, I mean No added or table salt. I have always poured salt onto my food religiously since I was a child and saw my father doing it. Since then, it has been another unhealthy habit I have added to my life. So does salt cause high blood pressure? It definately can depending on other factors! How does salt increase blood pressure? Too much salt or sodium can be hard on your kidneys, cause water retention which may result in swollen hands, feet, and face, and also high blood pressure. High amounts of sodium can cause high blood pressure or hypertension because of the pressure cause by water rentension. I will say that everyone is different and is effected by sodium or salt intake differently as well. I also dont taste food for what it is anymore. I use it heavily on my vegetables and meats. I even put large amounts of salt on fruits like watermelon and cantelope. I will create more videos on this journey and have a topic to share.
