Levothyroxine Side Effects - Complete List + Dosing Guide for Patients

21:10
In this video, I go over the complete list of Levothyroxine side effects ranging from weight gain to hair loss and everything in between. Yes, Levothyroxine can cause hair loss and it can also cause weight GAIN. How can that be if levothyroxine is supposed to boost your metabolism? In this video I explain how the metabolism of thyroid hormone in your body from T4 to reverse T3 may help explain why many people actually gain weight on this particular medication. I also go over the recommendations I give to patients if this happens to them. I also go over how to determine which thyroid medication is right for YOUR Body and how to dose your levothyroxine. When patients have reactions to levothyroxine it's from 1 of 3 reasons typically: 1) they are reacting to a filler ingredient or a dye within the medication itself. 2) they are converting or metabolizing the thyroid hormone into by products that don't promote proper activity 3) they are getting too much thyroid hormone for THEIR body (this one is less common) The side effects when patients react to fillers or dyes include reactions like facial swelling, edema, hives, itching sensation, etc. The side effects from improper metabolism include reactions like weight gain, hair loss, slower than normal metabolism, cold hands/extremities, etc. The side effects from TOO much medication include hot flashes, tachycardia or rapid heart rate, palpitations, hair loss, intolerance to heat. The treatment for each of these reactions is quite different and I explain what to do depending on how you are reacting. Leave your questions below! Recommended thyroid supplements to enhance thyroid function: - For thyroid hormone production and conversion: https://www.restartmed.com/product/thyroid-adrenal-reset-complex/ + https://www.restartmed.com/product/t3-conversion-booster/ - For hair loss: https://www.restartmed.com/product/thyroid-hair-regrowth-complex/ - For weight management: https://www.restartmed.com/product/gut-bomb-350-billion/ + https://www.restartmed.com/product/functional-fuel-complete/ - For gut health: https://www.restartmed.com/product/ultra-biotic-x100/ - For energy and adrenal health: https://www.restartmed.com/product/thyroid-adrenal-reset-complex/ + https://www.restartmed.com/product/power-b-complex/ If you are interested in having Dr. Childs evaluate your labs you can find more information here: https://www.restartmed.com/lab-testing/ You can read more on my website here: https://www.restartmed.com/ This video is not intended to be used as medical advice. 10 Important Tips for Taking Synthroid: Dosing, Side Effects, T3 Medications & More

18:27
Today is all about Synthroid. If you take this medication then you'll want to learn more about these 10 tips and tricks that you can use to help feel better. Synthroid is one of the most common thyroid medications used to treat hypothyroidism but it's not without problems. These tips are designed to help you find your optimal dose, help you understand if you are absorbing Synthroid, help you figure out if you need a new medication and more. 10 Tips to know when taking Synthroid: #1. Peripheral T4 to T3 conversion First off, you need to understand that Synthroid contains the inactive thyroid hormone T4. This means that in order for thyroid hormone to be utilized in your body it must first be activated through peripheral thyroid conversion. Several factors including genetics, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies and so on can impact this process. There are situations in which you may be taking enough Synthroid but your body is not able to activate it. #2. Absorption of Synthroid In order for your body to use Synthroid, it must also be absorbed in your intestinal tract! Several medications, supplements, and even foods can impact how much you absorb. Do your best to take Synthroid away from supplements such as Calcium and Iron which can limit absorption. #3. Are supplements helping or hurting you? Some supplements can decrease absorption but there are others that can help. The use of Selenium and Zinc can help your body activate Synthroid after it is absorbed. #4. The time of day that you take Synthroid Synthroid can be safely taken in the morning but it can also be taken at night. Studies have shown that patients who take it in the evening actually have higher free T4 and free T3! #5. Levothyroxine vs Synthroid: Are they the same? Levothyroxine and Synthroid both contain the same active ingredient but they are not considered bio-equivalents. Some patients do better on Synthroid over Levothyroxine so switching which one you take can impact how you feel. #6. Tirosint Tirosint is another T4 only medication but it is unique because it has the fewest inactive ingredients. Tirosint is more expensive than Synthroid but it can be used in cases where you may be reacting to fillers or dyes in Synthroid. #7. Dosage In order for Synthroid to work properly, you must be getting an adequate dose. You can ensure that you get a high enough dose by following all of the thyroid lab tests (more info below). #8. Switching to NDT or T3 medication Your thyroid naturally produces both T4 and T3 but Synthroid only has T4. In some cases, you may need to switch medications or add T3 in order to feel better. #9. The full thyroid lab panel While monitoring your dose you need to be looking at more than just the TSH. If you take Synthroid you should be looking at the following tests: - TSH - Free T3 - Total T3 - Free T4 - Reverse T3 These tests will give you an idea as to how your body is utilizing Synthroid. #10. Synthroid side effects Lastly, make sure that you watch our for the side effects of Synthroid which include: - Weight gain - Hair loss - Heart palpitations - Rashes - Headaches - Insomnia - Hot flashes - Changes in menstrual cycle Any of these side effects may indicate you need to switch medications! Hey guys! I'm Dr. Westin Childs and I focus on thyroid health, hormone balance, and weight loss. How to tell if the palpitations you are getting are serious or not

11:40
York cardiologist, Dr Sanjay Gupta discusses palpitations and how to work out if the palpitation represent a heart rhythm problem by tapping out the different beats. www.yorkcardiologist.co.uk. Hello, my name is Sanjay Gupta and I’m a cardiologist in York. Today I thought I’d do a little video on the subject of palpitation. Palpitations are really common symptoms that I see in my clinic and majority of palpitations are not serious. The big worry when people experience palpitation is whether they may have a heart rhythm disturbance. Even if they have a heart rhythm disturbance, most heart rhythm disturbances are not serious. So, that’s a little bit of reassurance. The first thing that I would like to talk about is what is a palpitation? I suppose palpitation is a rareness of one’s heartbeat to the extent that it feels abnormal. So, the hart could be beating normally but us sensed abnormally. Now, there are many normal causes of palpitations, so to speak. So, for example, if you were walking down a dark alley and someone jumps out suddenly, then that would cause palpitation; that would cause the heart to beat very fast and that would be felt as a palpitation. But that doesn’t signify a problem with the heart itself; the heart is just doing what is meant to do, it is beating fast in response to the adrenaline that is circulating around the body. Similarly, anxiety and stress can cause palpitation; caffeine can cause palpitation, people who drink a lot of caffeine; alcohol can cause palpitation; exercise can, obviously, cause palpitation. So, these are the plan that of sort of normal things that can cause palpitations which don’t signify anything to be worried about.

Don’T Ignore These Common Signs Of A Prevalent Thyroid Condition

03:38
Don’t ignore these common signs of a prevalent thyroid condition The thyroid, which is found in the front of the neck, is a gland which produces hormones important for proper organ function. Thyroid hormones have an impact on the entire body, affecting the brain, muscles, liver, heart, and other parts of the body. When the thyroid gland fails to produce enough thyroid hormone, the body suffers from a condition called hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland). Since the major function of the thyroid hormone is to run body`s metabolism, it is completely understandable why those with hypothyroidism experience symptoms associated with a slow metabolism. While only an estimate, up to 10 million Americans have this condition. As a matter of fact, about 10 percent of women are likely to have certain degree of thyroid hormone deficiency. There are two major causes of hypothyroidism. The first one involves an inflammation of the thyroid gland, which damages a great deal of the cells of the thyroid and makes them unable to produce sufficient hormone. The most common cause of thyroid failure is Hashimoto`s thyroiditis, a type of thyroid inflammation caused by the immune system. The thyroid might be inflamed as a result of an infection or iodine deficiency. Given that the body doesn’t produce iodine, it is important to eat iodine-rich foods like cranberries, strawberries, navy beans, potatoes, and yogurt. The second cause is the category of medical treatments. The treatment of most thyroid conditions includes partial or complete removal of the thyroid gland. If the total mass of the thyroid producing cells is not enough to meet body`s needs, the patient will eventually develop hypothyroidism. If left untreated, hypothyroidism can lead to life-threatening depression, heart failure, and even coma. However, if diagnosed on time, it can be treated with a daily pill. Learn the signs and symptoms of this condition and don’t leave your health to chance! Weakness and fatigue. Abnormal menstrual cycles in women. Coarse, dry hair and dry, rough, pale skin. Cold intolerance. Constipation. Depression and irritability Muscle cramps and muscle aches. Memory loss. Note that each patient might have one or more of these symptoms, which will vary with the severity depending on the hormone deficiency and the amount of time the body has been depleted of the proper amount of hormone. If you experience any of these symptoms, it is crucial to discuss them with your doctor. In addition, you might need to seek help of an endocrinologist. If you have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and already treated for it but you still continue having these symptoms, make sure you consult your physician as soon as possible. Treatment for Hypothyroidism The conventional treatment for this condition includes daily use of the synthetic thyroid hormone levothyroxine such as Synthroid and Levothroid. This oral drug restores proper hormone levels, reversing the symptoms of the condition. Determining the proper dosage of levothyroxine might take time and the doctor should check the level of TSH more often. Excessive amounts of this hormone can cause symptoms like insomnia, increased appetite, and heart palpitations.

Thyroid Medications and Your Body

01:58
The thyroid gland can affect the function of organs such as the brain, heart, kidneys, liver, and skin. Hypothyroidism can cause weight gain, fatigue, depression, moodiness, and dry hair and skin. Hyperthyroidism can cause weight loss, heart palpitations, tremors, heat intolerance, and eventually lead to osteoporosis. Treatment for both underactive and overactive thyroid involves getting your body’s metabolism back to normal. Thyroid medication can help the patient to feel a sense of normalcy. Hormones in women reduce heart attacks and death Mark Starr MD

Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com. http://fatnews.com/ https://twitter.com/fatnews Mark Starr, MD talks about how hormones in women reduce heart attacks and death. Mark Starr is the author of the wonderful book "Hypothyroidism Type 2: The Epidemic". Mark Starr, MD defines Type 2 hypothyroidism. "Type 1 Hypothyroidism I’ve defined as failure of the thyroid gland to produce sufficient amounts of thyroid hormones necessary to maintain normal blood levels of those hormones and normal blood levels of the thyroid stimulating hormone, the TSH, produced by the pituitary gland." "Type 2 Hypothyroidism is peripheral resistance to thyroid hormones at the cellular level." "It is NOT due to a lack of thyroid hormones." "Normal amounts of thyroid hormones and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are usually detected by blood tests." "Therefore, blood tests do NOT detect Type 2 Hypothyroidism." "Type 2 Hypothyroidism is usually inherited however, environmental toxins may also cause or exacerbate the problem." "Type 2 Hypothyroidism has yet to be recognized by mainstream medicine, but is already epidemic." "There is a lot of ‘Subclinical Hypothyroidism’ but I can guarantee you that it is anything but subclinical." Mark Starr, MD 21st Century Pain & Sports Medicine 10565 N. What Happens if Thyroid Level is High During Pregnancy?

01:56
What happens if thyroid level is high during pregnancy? The clinical term for the thyroids over producing hormones is hyperthyroidism. It can make you nervous, tired and with poor concentration. Kind of like pregnancy. You could end up with excessive sweating and diarrhea. That could leave someone dehydrated, on par with morning sickness. You could develop heart palpitations or an irregular heartbeat. That's life threatening. Aside from a blood test, what are signs of a high thyroid? Weight loss, an irregular heartbeat, moist skin and an enlarged thyroid to start. You'd also have hyperactive reflexes. I thought I already did, trying to keep up with a hyper toddler. Hair loss sometimes occurs. And don't joke about already wanting to pull your hair out, because thyroid problems can put your health at risk. What does the high thyroid level do when you're pregnant? Some women naturally have a highly active thyroid in the first trimester, especially pregnant with multiples, but the 10% of affected women usually go back to normal. Aside from dealing with twins or more. If you have chronic and uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, you are more likely to have a miscarriage, stillbirth and pre-term baby. What type of complications can it cause, other than the kid coming out too soon? You're at risk of pre-eclampsia, which is life threatening. And it can cause pre-term labor on its own. If you don't have enough thyroid hormone, I know they can give you artificial ones, like a diabetic taking insulin. What do they do for someone with too much thyroid production? PTU and MMI are used. While it affects the baby a little, lack of treatment is not an alternative. At least it's all over when I have the baby. If you have an over-active thyroid throughout the pregnancy, it may last a life-time. Let's focus on saving this kid's life first.

Natural Alternatives For Chronic Fatigue, Thyroid Disorders and Adrenal Burnout

Wellness doctor explains the confusion about the thryoid. http://www.wellness24.org/recommends/thyroidconsult/ If you have been struggling with chronic fatigue, losing weight, moodiness or hormone imbalance you have probably at one time or another thought...could it be my thyroid? Here is what medicine does: Blood tests, usually not very comprehensive, they may find TSH high (hypothyroid) or low (hyperthyroid). Based on this they will give you synthetic hormone medicine like synthroid or levothyroxine which artificially regulates the hormones. Commonly thyroid sufferers will stay on medicine for 10 plus years but often times they are not any healthier or feeling any better; no changes in energy, weight loss, moodiness or hormone balance. How we are different, what does Dr. Hamel do as a holistic doctor to help support hypothyroid, hyperthyroid and Hashimoto's? First of all Dr. Hamel will have you order more extensive blood work, to look at not only TSH, T3, and T4, but FT3, FT4, Reverse T3, TBG and TPO. From this bloodwork it is much easier to recommend a natural thyroid restoration program and monitor how these blood levels change over time. Have you ever heard someone you know say, I went to the thyroid doctor with all of these thyroid complaints, they ran my blood tests but everything was NORMAL. If one is struggling with symptoms such as chronic fatigue, can't lose weight, moodiness, hot flashes, insomnia, digestive issues, hair falling out, heart palpitations and anxiety...there has to be someone wrong. Dr. Hamel can also run a hair analysis to check for mineral imbalances which also plays a big part in telling how well the thyroid gland is working. After gathering information from blood work, hair analysis, and a comprehensive history this alternative medicine doctor of 17 years will give his best recommendations on the process to get the thyroid healthier. There are 2 components of Dr. Hamel's natural thyroid programs. 1. Whole food supplements to support the thyroid gland, and other hormone producing glands. 2. Diet modification to help take stress off of the thyroid and other hormone producing glands. 3. Weekly visits of phone calls with Dr. Hamel to monitor changes in your symptoms, i.e. weight, energy, digestion, anxiety, moodiness and sleep. 4. Rerun blood tests and hair analysis every 6 months 5. Optional modalities that Dr. Hamel offers in his office including ionic foot baths, spine/nervous system treatments, and cold laser therapy. Note that much of what Dr. Hamel does to naturally support his thyroid patients is not covered by insurance and this is because insurance is very limited on what they can do. Dr. Hamel's mission is to help his patients get health and stay that way by using only natural means. He does not and cannot recommend or prescribe any type of medicine, surgery or radiation for the thyroid. If you are tired of mainstream medicine's approach to thyroid support and you are open to alternative medicine please sign up for our introductory thyroid phone consult to further see if you are a good candidate below: http://www.wellness24.org/recommends/thyroidconsult/ The only thing you have to lose is continuing not feeling any better taking thyroid medicine of what ever methods or therapies you have tried thus far. I look forward to working with those who are ready to make a big change in their health; if you have any additional questions Dr. Hamel's contact information is below: Dr. Tyler Hamel, DC, ACN Pinnacle Health and Wellness - 3039 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood TX 77339 - 26110 Oak Ridge Drive, Spring TX 77380 Phone 281-360-8387. Iron Tablets | How To Take Iron Tablets | How To Reduce Iron Supplement Side Effects (2018)

03:26
How To Take Iron Tablet Properly | How To Reduce Iron Tablet Side Effects | Iron Supplements For Best Absorption | Iron Vitamin C | Ferrous Sulphate Hey guys! This weeks video is about how to take an iron supplement so you can get the most out of it and how to reduce the side effects associated with them. Iron supplements are prescribed or recommended when when your anaemic or at risk of developing anaemia because the iron stores in your body are low. Symptoms of iron deficiency anaemia can include: • Tiredness and lack of energy • Shortness of breath • Noticeable heartbeats (heart palpitations) • Pale skin HOW TO TAKE YOUR IRON SUPPLEMENT: To help get the best absorption of your iron supplement you should take it on an empty stomach (preferably one hour before a meal or two hours after) with a drink containing vitamin C, such as a glass of orange juice or another juice drink with added vitamin C. Absorption of iron from the gut is reduced by food, tea and milk, so these should be avoided for one hour before and after taking the iron supplement. The precise instructions for when to take your supplements will be discussed with you by the healthcare professional who prescribes them. The only factor that improves the absorption of iron is vitamin C. This is why we recommend that you take your iron supplement with a drink containing vitamin C. HOW DO IRON SUPPLEMENTS WORK: Iron is needed for the production of haemoglobin, which is an essential ingredient in red blood cells. Haemoglobin is very important as it carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. If you don’t have enough iron, you can develop anaemia, which means that you aren’t making enough red blood cells to carry oxygen around your body. You may become breathless, tired and have a lack of energy, your skin may become pale and you may have palpitations (noticeable heartbeats). COMMON SIDE EFFECTS: The following side effects are common, • Stomach upset • Nausea (feeling sick) • Stomach ache • Diarrhoea • Constipation These usually improve as your body gets used to the iron supplements. If the side effects continue to be a problem for you, contact the healthcare professional who prescribed the iron supplements and discuss the possible options I have recommended in the video with them. Iron supplements can also make your stools look darker in colour. This is completely harmless. IRON SUPPLEMENT INTERACTIONS: Some medicines are not suitable for people with certain conditions, and sometimes a medicine may only be used if extra care is taken. For these reasons, before you start taking an iron supplement it is important that your doctor or pharmacist knows: • If you are taking any other medicines. This includes any medicines you are taking which are available to buy without a prescription, as well as herbal and complementary medicines. • If you have ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine. Link to iron supplement interactions, this link is for ferrous sulphate a commonly prescribed iron supplement. If you are taking a different iron supplement, on the same page you can search the name of it and click interactions - https://bnf.nice.org.uk/interaction/ferrous-sulfate-2.html IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ALL MEDICINES: Never take more than the prescribed dose. If you suspect that you or someone else might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the accident and emergency department of your local hospital. Take the container with you, even if it is empty. This medicine is for you. Never give it to other people even if their condition appears to be the same as yours. If you are having an operation or any dental treatment, tell the person carrying out the treatment which medicines you are taking. If you have any questions about this medicine ask your pharmacist. 🔴 Don’t Ignore These Common Signs of a Prevalent Thyroid Condition - Symptoms of Thyroid in Females

05:02
★ ☆ ★ SUBSCRIBE★ ☆ ★ ►►https://goo.gl/SNOqSn Don’t Ignore These Common Signs of a Prevalent Thyroid Condition - Symptoms of Thyroid in Females The thyroid, which is found in the front of the neck, is a gland which produces hormones important for proper organ function. PAIN RELIEF IS A PHONE CALL AWAY Most Insurance Plans Accepted Dear Stomach/Thyroid Sufferer, Some 20 million Americans are affected by thyroid disorders….that are 1 in 13 people! And more than half of those people are unaware they have a thyroid problem because it frequently goes undiagnosed….until it gets severe. Symptoms of Hypothyroidism Fatigue, tiredness, or sluggishness Cold feet and/or hands Require excessive amounts of sleep to function Gain weight easily Have difficult or infrequent bowel movements Depression Lack of motivation Morning headaches that wear off as the day progresses Thinning hair or excessive hair loss Dryness of the skin and/or scalp Mental sluggishness Symptoms of Hyperthyroidism Heart Palpitations Inward Trembling Increased Pulse (even at rest) Lose weight easily Difficulty gaining weight Nervous and Emotional Insomnia Night Sweats Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis is an autoimmune disorder in which the patient’s immune system attacks the thyroid. Patients that suffer from Hashimoto’s experience some or all of the above symptoms. Let’s talk about the thyroid gland a bit. The thyroid “runs” our metabolism. It is the “gas pedal” of the body. Thyroid hormones have a direct effect on most organs, including the heart, which beats faster and harder under the influence of increased thyroid hormones (this is why heart problems can often accompany chronic thyroid problems in women, and perhaps why heart problems are more common in women under the age of 50). T3 is the more biologically active hormone. It’s more important for cellular function, and in fact, 80% of T4 is converted to T3 in the body’s peripheral tissues. Basically, T4 is just a precursor for the more active hormone, T3. One of the problems in some thyroid disorders is that you may have trouble converting T4 to T3 in your tissues. Have you been checked for this? This can create a deficiency of T3, disrupting the body’s ability to properly regulate metabolism, which leads to specific symptoms. There are some clinicians that are treating thyroid conditions with iodine. I do not recommend iodine in the treatment of thyroid conditions. According to renowned thyroid expert Dr. Datis Kharriazian, author of the book “Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms?”, using iodine to treat thyroid conditions is like throwing gasoline on a fire. How Do We Successfully Treat Thyroid Patient Sufferers? By using specific metabolic and neurological protocols! #1: SPECIFIC METABOLIC TESTING AND TREATMENTS Sensitivity Testing: to determine if you have a sensitivity to gluten (wheat, rye, oats, and barley), milk, eggs, yeast, and soy. If you are sensitive to ANY of these food groups, it could be making your symptoms worse as it will increase inflammation in your brain and throughout your body! Here are some of the symptoms of these sensitivities: Chronic pain or fatigue Frequent indigestion Bloated after eating Frequent loose bowel movements Constipation Mouth ulcers or sores Vomit often The only way to find out if you are suffering from any of these sensitivities is to run these tests. We are one of the only clinics in Bergen County Midland Park, NJ to use a combined functional metabolic and neurological protocol that deals with the TRUE causes of Thyroid Disorders. Hundreds of our patients have been helped with our comprehensive approach to address chronic conditions. Among multiple drug free ways to address your symptoms that our doctors provide, we usually recommend a nutritional supplementation as an adjunct medical treatment. The nutritional supplementation recommended is designed to support overall health, your body function and well-being and not to treat or cure any medical illness, disease, or condition. Alternative Approaches to Hypothyroidism - Dr. Adrian Hohenwarter

16:18
In my office, we use RLC Labs, Nature-Throid, which I've had good success with. If you are taking synthetic thyroid medication and you're still tired, you have cold hands and feet, your weight is up, you can't lose weight, you're tired, you're depressed, you can't think clearly, your job is a struggle, your hair is thinning-- then you may want to see a doctor like myself to get prescription porcine thyroid. Now, the one question would be, so what is different between the porcine thyroid and the synthetic, prescription thyroid? Well, the Nature-Throid contains not only T4, but it contains T3. T3 is the active form of thyroid hormone. That is what actually exerts the benefits on the tissues in the body. And the T4 is the reserve, or repository form, that can be converted over to T3. Now, many people have poor conversion-- this is the theory, that they don't convert T4 to T3 very well. So that's one explanation. Another theory would be that there's tissue resistance to thyroid hormone, much the same way a Type 2 diabetic can have receptor resistance to the insulin. Many patients come in who are reading books who want to overdose on thyroid. I discourage overdosing, and I teach patients-- the symptoms of overdosing, such as palpitations, being nervous or jittery-- sometimes you're unmasking their caffeine they've been eating. I find that patients will replace a thyroid deficiency with caffeine. The caffeine is their substitute--it's a poor substitute for thyroid hormone. Now, there's other hormones at play here, as well. Birth control pills can slow thyroid function-- the synthetic estrogens and progesterones. And the deficiency of progesterone that we get with birth control pills actually worsens thyroid function. Your synthetic estrogens raise TBG, thyroid binding globulin, thereby tying up or binding the active thyroid hormones, making the patient more hypothyroid. Thyroid also plays a role on fertility in women. So replacing that is essential, and also making sure that you're not over-replacing is also essential. There are other things you can take to improve thyroid function, besides just taking prescription thyroid. And so I would encourage patients to take an appropriate dose of iodine, either through kelp or other sea vegetables, like dulce, or the other seaweeds like hijiki, there's quite a few of those. We also carry a water soluble iodine trichloride, which is called atomidine on the website, and this can also serve as an iodine source. So if you are hypothyroid and you're not treating it, you are probably increasing your risk of cardiovascular disease, specifically heart attack, which is myocardial infarction. We know that taking thyroid can lower cholesterol, as well. So, of course overdosing on thyroid can cause heart arrhythmias-- abnormal rhythms, like AFib, or atrial fibrillation, or atrial flutter. I'd also recommend that you do not self treat with any overseas product that you have shipped to yourself. Among multiple drug free ways to address and help your symptoms, we usually recommend and provide nutritional supplementation which are designed to support overall health, your body function and well-being and not to treat or cure any medical illness, disease, or condition. 8 Reasons Why You Are Still Suffering With Symptoms of Your Thyroid, Chronic Fatigue, Sleep Difficulty, Low Libido, Memory Loss, Anxiety or depressive Condition: Do you wonder why, even though you are on thyroid or other medication, you still suffer with all of the symptoms of your thyroid condition? Or maybe initially you felt better on your thyroid medication until all the symptoms started to come back? Here are eight reasons why you are still suffering… The cause of your thyroid condition could be coming from your gut. Everybody knows about TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) “My doctor says my TSH is too high.” “My doctor said my TSH is too low.” TSH this and TSH that-but are you aware that in order for TSH to be released form the brain you need adequate amounts of two very important neurotransmitters Serotonin and Dopamine? And guess where these are made? The gut! So, bad gut= bad thyroid. The cause of your thyroid problem could be coming from your adrenal glands. These are your stress glands. When they are overtaxed they emit, in high amounts, a hormone called cortisol. High Cortisol is the arch-enemy to your thyroid function. The cause of your thyroid problem is a faulty immune system. The number one reason for under-active thyroid is a condition in which your immune system is mistakenly attacking the gland. This is called Hashimotos thyroiditis. It is estimated that 70-80% of thyroid patients have this but few know it because the doctor doesn’t check for it. Most doctors look at T4 as the main hormone when in actuality T3 is the active form of the hormone! Most doctors don’t even check for T3 on the blood work. Most hormone replacement medications like synthroid and levothyroxine are NOT T3 but are T4 and your doctor is assuming it gets converted to T3 in the body. This isn’t always the case. Estrogen dominance is something that almost all women suffer from for many reasons. When there is not enough progesterone in the body to balance your estrogen, your thyroid will not function properly. Doctors always follow lab ranges. Lab ranges are determined by who has been to the lab in the last year. What kind of people go to labs sick or healthy? Sick for the most part. When your doctor is making a determination on whether you have a problem or not he or she is comparing you to the average sick American. That’s crazy! We use functional ranges in which health exists. This is why so many are told they are OK when they really are not OK.

Thyroid Patient Testimonial after Dr. Michael Veselak's Advanced Metabolic Therapy Program

00:43
Another success story from one of Dr. Michael Veselak's Thyroid Patients. She has finally found relief from her thyroid symptoms after completing our Advanced Metabolic Therapy Program! At Camarillo Functional Health, Dr. Michael Veselak specializes in treating auto-immune disorders, such as Thyroid Dysfunction using a Functional Medicine Approach. As a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Board Certified in Integrative Medicine, Dr. Michael Veselak addresses each auto-immune condition by first identifying the underlying cause of the dysfunction, rather than treating symptoms with medications. The Thyroid gland is complex in that it affects almost every organ in the body by producing essential hormones for the body to function properly. One of the main problems in some thyroid disorders is that the body has trouble converting T4 to T3 in the tissues. This breakdown can create a deficiency of T3, disrupting the body's ability to properly regulate metabolism. Another common Thryoid issue is Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Hashimoto's is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system begins to attack the thyroid. Patient's who suffer from Hashimoto's can experience many symptoms including fluctuations in weight, heart palpitations, insomnia, migraines, dry skin, brain fog, and even depression. Dealing with Thyroid Dysfunction is no simple task and often involved dietary, nutritional and lifestyle changes. In addition to examining your blood work, lab tests and medical history, Dr. Michael Veselak will work to find the root cause of your thyroid issues to heal the source of the problem. Hypo-Hyperthroid, Similar Symptoms, Similar 'Fixes' ~~~Nancy

34:10
'Fire Eats Fire' is the premise behind a substance when it is used to eliminate a substance of the same nature. It seems that iodine can https://youtu.be/6P5zykFGO24 be used to treat even an over-iodine situation. (See below for this source). On an intermitant basis I use red iodine, a few drops, in my glass of water - as a 'fix' for my hypothyroidism. Now I find that iodine may be what it takes to also 'fix' the overproduction of idoine in hyperthyroidism. It's the 'fire eats fire' situation. Autoimmune disorders are grouped by symptoms, what I believe is that a century back in time, the symptoms of hypo or hyperthyroidism were decreed as disorders so that medicines could be prescribed for people by the medical community. This would be done in place of what had been used which might be, as example, prescribing castor oil (which is vitamin D) to fix symptoms. In place of this, symptoms got grouped, named and treated easily. Greed and corruption is what is at the root of this, of course and it is what perpetuates the ongoing process of this. This video is not a medical video and does not offer medical advice or treatment. I am a cosmetologist who is interested in staying healthy through natural means. ~~~Nancy Gurish Your Health And Tech Friend Magazine "Iodine can be used to slow thyroid hormone release. Potassium iodide, Lugol’s solution, or, my personal preference, nascent iodine, can be used to initiate this effect. Applied in this way, iodine can halt complications like those of a Thyroid Storm, where the thyroid overproduces and over releases thyroid hormones leading to serious and potentially fatal effects. In some cases, small amounts of Iodine-131 (a radioactive iodine) will be applied to slow thyroid hormone production. Studies of individuals exposed to iodine-131 radiation have shown consistent development of hypothyroidism, a condition of reduced thyroid hormone output. [3] In medical applications, only the smallest amount is used to achieve the necessary result." Read more at: http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/iodine-and-hyperthyroidism/ "Manage Iodine Levels for Best Health Conditions like hyperthyroidism can lead to serious complications – heart problems, osteoporosis, problems with the eyes from vision to physically bulging eyes, and thyroid storm can create life-threatening situations. Maintaining healthy iodine levels is the best method to promote thyroid health and function. Antithyroid medicine may or may not make your hyperthyroidism symptoms go away. The medicine is much more effective in people who have mild disease. Up to 30 out of 100 people in the United States will have their hyperthyroidism go away (go into remission) after taking antithyroid medicine for 12 to 18 months.3 Antithyroid medicine works best if you have mild hyperthyroidism, if this is the first time you are being treated for Graves' disease, if you are younger than 50, or if your thyroid gland is only swollen a little bit (small goiter). It is not used for thyroiditis. Antithyroid medicine is used instead of radioactive iodine if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or trying to become pregnant. Children are treated with antithyroid medicine, because experts do not know if radioactive iodine treatment is safe for children. Treating children with antithyroid medicine is challenging. It is hard to know how much medicine they need when they are growing so quickly." http://www.webmd.com/women/tc/hyperthyroidism-medications "To make sure Synthroid is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have: a thyroid disorder called thyrotoxicosis; heart disease, coronary artery disease, or a history of blood clots; diabetes (insulin or oral diabetes medication doses may need to be changed when you start taking levothyroxine); anemia (lack of red blood cells); osteoporosis, or low bone mineral density; problems with your pituitary gland; any food or drug allergies; http://www.mercola.com/article/aspartame/fraud.htm http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hypothyroidism/symptoms-causes/dxc-20155382 LET'S CONNECT! ~~~Nancy's Store!
