About (we're BIG on "about") 75 years ago the British, Irish and Scots took advantage of black outs or early setting sun and were thus driven to soaking almost anything in booze. Lo and behold they discovered soaking golden raisins in gin provided pain relief even when eating less than a dozen at a time. Over the years this home remedy for pain relief grew in popularity and the word spread throughout the world. Then, sadly, modern, very expensive medicine became the new symbol of healthy living (oxymoron). WELL...the gin soaked raisin is back and better than ever. Having joined the ranks of the DrunkenRaisin the gin soaked raisin has been improved with special honey and imported cinnamon enhancing both the flavor and effective ingredients for pain relief. 80% of those who eat gin soaked raisins enjoy pain relief as demonstrated by the many testimonials found on our links to other sites. After hearing about anti-inflammatory values of the gin-soaked raisin our founder, Larry Wright, who had arthritis in both of his hands, started eating them himself. They worked for him and he found others who had eaten them and also had great results. He was making them for his friends and was curious as to why they couldn't just go out and buy them. Consequently he had Toby help to develop a logo, Molly have it federally registered then got a domain site on his own. To create his unique blend he selected special both honey and cinnamon added to enhance the anti-inflammatory value and significantly improve their flavor so that everyone could enjoy them. The DrunkenRaisins became popular with some friends as an after dinner treat since they went so well with wine, port and other after dinner drinks. Finally the decision was made to package and sell them to others which has lead to the development of this website by a youthful team of knowledge-based pros who are enthused about the product and its future. Our team is working hard to make DrunkenRaisins a popular product in the marketplace. We hope you will try them and join us in our enthusiasm.

Did you know that raisin water can be great for you? It’s a good thing to add to your diet, especially to better your liver health. Why is raisin water so good for your health? It helps certain biochemical processes in the liver, which help it force the poisons out of your bloodstream. If you follow this treatment for four days straight, you’ll see that your digestion will rise and you’ll have more energy. Do you know what the benefits of raisin water are? It is advised to eat raisins in the morning to take better care of your heart, get rid of bad cholesterol, lower your triglyceride levels, and stop constipation or an upset stomach. Raisins have a lot of vitamins and minerals, and they help you even more when you drink the water they are soaked in. This is because they have less sugar this way, but you still gain the excellent medicinal cure for your liver. A natural source of antioxidants Raisins are one of the best sources for antioxidants. This is because they’re dried grapes, which are fruits that are full of bioflavonoids that help keep the body safe from free radicals and sickness. Raisins and raisin water have been used for many years to stop different heart and liver diseases. Helps detox the body The liver and the kidneys are important organs. They help clean your blood by taking out the poisons and heavy metals that can pile up and make you sick. But sometimes the liver and kidneys can be slowed by bad diet choices, eating too many fatty foods, and bad daily habits. If you drink raisin water for four days straight at least once a month it can help your liver work better, especially when it comes to detox. You’ll be able to tell that it’s helping at the times when you feel heavy, or feel that your digestion is slow or painful. Aids in digestion Drinking raisin water can help to clean the bloodstream and keep the liver working properly. It also helps to better digestion. How? By making the stomach acids separate, which helps you break down your food and take in the nutrients. You’ll start to see the difference around 2 days after you start drinking the raisin water. How do you make raisin water? Ingredients: - 2 cups of water (400 ml) - 150 grams of raisins Preparation Make sure to choose your raisins carefully. Look for raisins that are a darker color, and not too hard or soft. Check that the raisins are whole, and clean. Wash the raisins and then put them aside. Heat the water to a boil. Add the raisins and then let them bubble for 20 minutes. Then leave them to soak overnight. In the morning, strain the water from the raisins, and then heat the water up. You can drink it warm or hot, but make sure to drink it on an empty stomach, right after you wake up. Then wait 30- 35 minutes before eating breakfast. Remember to follow this for four days. If you also have a diet that’s low in fat, and has plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables you’ll have better liver health. Raisin water would be a great thing to add to that diet. Grandma's Natural Remedies for Arthritis Are Peculiar but Work! Natural remedies According to the National Center for Health Statistics, 76.2 million, or 26 percent of Americans, suffer from chronic pain – and more than half of those have some form of arthritis or related condition. Doctors traditionally treat arthritis with anti-inflammatory medications and painkillers. However, some medications cause side effects, and a natural approach to pain relief is becoming more popular. Remember to consult your doctor before trying these natural remedies. Ingredients: 1 cup Golden or white raisins (can’t be any other kind) Approximately 3/4 cup good quality Gin Preparation: -Dump them into a glass or ceramic bowl (a large canning jar works too) then pour the alcohol over top until they are fully covered. -Cover bowl with a piece of cheesecloth or a coffee filter to keep out dust and set it out of the way, keep at room temperature. -Leave for two weeks or until all the liquid has been absorbed by the fruit for minimum one week, top up with more if necessary. -Store them in a sealed glass jar and refrigerate. Directions of use: Eat 9 of them each day, you can add them to a bowl of cereal if you don’t care for the taste of them on their own. You can also sprinkle with cinnamon to help with the taste. May take 4 to 6 weeks of daily consumption before it starts working. One tip suggested eating 15 each day for the first two weeks, then drop to 9.

7 Bizarre Home Remedies Our Grandparents Used That Actually Work! Sometimes, our grandparents have a lot to say and teach us, even though we are doubtful at the beginning. This is especially the case with some homemade remedies they offer to us, whenever we encounter some health issue. Yet, I must admit that the majority of them actually work! Therefore, we will reveal several bizarre solutions grandmas come up, but really solve the problem: 1. Potatoes for Spider Bites. Raw potatoes have potent anti-itching, and anti-inflammatory properties, so all you need to do is to cut a slice of potato, and rub the area for a couple of minutes. 2. Raisins for Arthritis. According to grandparents, you should soak some golden raisins overnight, in a couple of spoonfuls of gin. In this way, the vitamins in raisins will combine with the anti-inflammatory effects of the juniper berries used to make gin, and this will relieve the pain and swelling in the case of arthritis. 3. Celery for Bad Breath. All you need to do to combat bad breath, is to put a bunch of celery in your mouth and chew it. 4. Nettles treat Hair Loss. The nettle leaves are rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, and beta-carotene, and high amounts of the vitamins A, C, D, and B complex, all of which are beneficial for hair and its growth. Since our hair is mostly made of proteins, the nettle leaves will maintain its health, and make it shiny and strong. You should brew a kettle of boiling water. Then, add 4-6 leaves in a mug, pour the hot water, and enjoy the nettle tea. 5. Yams for Menopause. Yams have a thicker rougher skin, and are darker than sweet potatoes, so you should not confuse them. They are rich in vitamin A and C, which balance hormones, as well as dietary fiber, which reduces cholesterol levels. 6. Dried Apricots for Indigestion. Grandparents believe that, one should eat exactly five apricots after dinner every single day to help digestion. These fruits are rich in dietary fiber, which helps digestion and prevent bloating. 7. Baking Soda for a Urinary Tract Infection. You should add a sprinkling of baking soda to a glass of water. This will treat the symptoms in no time, as the baking soda fights infections and alkalizes the bladder, thus protecting it from harmful bacteria. Hence, we suggest that you try some of these tricks next time, even though it sounds strange, they really work! http://homeyog.com/7-bizarre-home-remedies-grandparents-used-actually-work/ https://youtu.be/zxHp7uxC8dI

This is especially the case with some homemade remedies they offer to us whenever we are in pain, weak, or encounter some health issue. Yet, I must admit that the majority of them actually work! Therefore, we will reveal several bizarre solutions grandmas come up but really solve the problem: Baking Soda for a Urinary Tract Infection. A bus driver in Benton Township, Pennsylvania has been accused of driving under the influence. A bus driver in Benton Township, Pennsylvania has been accused of driving under the influence. What makes the case even more troubling is that the driver was allegedly on duty at the time of the incident. Police have filed charges of reckless driving and DUI against Jennifer Watson. "She got so confused that school officials say that Watson got spun around and started driving her morning route. She stopped several times at places where she's supposed to pick up kids and then she ultimately brought them all back to school." [WKRC] A few of the children went up front to talk to Watson and informed her they had already gone to school and needed to go home. She refused to accept that as the truth and continued her trip back to the school. Fortunately she got all the students there safely. The kids later said they smelled alcohol on Watson's breath. They also claimed she cursed, yelled and swerved all over the road. Police were at the school when she pulled up. Watson denied drinking but instead blamed her bizarre behavior on gin soaked raisins, which she eats for headaches. The Benton Area School District immediately sent a letter home to all parents notifying them of the incident.

Raisins as an Energy Food Raisins are high in simple carbohydrates, mainly in the form of the monosaccharides fructose and glucose, making them an excellent source of readily available energy. Because these sugars are already in their simplest form, your body doesn’t need to break them down further for absorption and use. According to U.S. Department of Agriculture data, a packed 1/4-cup serving of seedless raisins provides approximately 123 calories, 1.3 grams of protein, 0.2 gram of fat and 32.7 grams of carbohydrates, of which 1.5 grams are dietary fiber and 24.4 grams are the naturally occurring sugars fructose and glucose. Golden raisins are slightly higher in protein and fiber but otherwise nutritionally comparable. Additional Nutrients Raisins are a rich source of antioxidant compounds, potassium, iron, vitamin B-6, thiamine and boron, a trace mineral essential to healthy bones and muscles. They also supply appreciable amounts of numerous other important vitamins and minerals, including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin K, riboflavin and niacin. A packed 1/4-cup serving of seedless raisins provides approximately 9 percent and 4 percent of the daily values for potassium and iron, respectively. The same serving also contains roughly 3 percent each of the daily values for vitamin B-6 and thiamine. Golden raisins contain similar levels of potassium and iron but are significantly higher in vitamins B-6 and C and significantly lower in thiamine than the sun-dried variety. Raisins pack more nutrition than their small size might indicate. When grapes are dehydrated to produce raisins, the nutrients become more concentrated, making a handful of raisins a snack rich in B vitamins, iron and potassium. Besides nutrients, raisins are also a good source of carbohydrates for energy. Title: 8 Bizarre Home Remedies Our Grandparents Used That Actually Work Description: Before medical science advanced, our grandparents relied on home remedies to treat various ailments. While some of these sound strange, many actually worked. Here are 8 of the most bizarre home remedies that our grandparents actually used that really do work. 1)Eat Raisins To Protect Your Joint: Our grandparents would soak golden raisins in gin overnight, allowing the raisins to soak up the gin. The raisins and the juniper in the gin reduce inflammation, which can reduce the pain associated with arthritis. 2)Chew On Celery To Fight Bad Breath: Before chewing gum was invented, people would chew small pieces of celery to get rid of bad breath. This actually works because it keeps your mouth hydrated, which can prevent halitosis. 3)Use Lemons For Earaches: If you have an earache, drip a few drops of lemon juice into your ear, then wipe it out with a Q-tip. The juice will help balance the pH in your ear and help remove the bacteria that may be causing this discomfort. 4)Cure Hair Loss With Nettles: Nettle or horsetail herbal tea were used to prevent hair loss in men. That's because the silica found in these teas can strengthen your hair tissue and make your head of hair look fuller. Be careful with this, as too much silica can actually be toxic. 5)Fight Motion Sickness With Olives: When we have motion sickness, our mouths produce too much saliva, which makes us feel more nauseous. The tannin in olives can dry out your mouth, preventing you from throwing up. 6)Treat Indigestion With Dried Apricots: The fiber and potassium in apricots can aid in digestion, preventing heartburn and other stomach problems. It will also make you feel less uncomfortable after a large meal. 7)Treat Spider Bites With Potatoes: If you've been bitten by a spider or any bug, just rub a raw potato on it. Potatoes possess anti-inflammatory properties, which can prevent a bug bite from itching. It also keeps your skin hydrated, which can prevent itching due to dry skin. 8)Balance Hormones With Yams: Mexican yam, as well known as wild yam, contains diosgenin which can be converted into progestrone and is a good source of Vitamin E with its regenerative and nourishing properties. Thus helps to balance hormones naturally.
