How To Take Metformin Without Side Effects | When Is The Best Time To Take Metformin | How To Build Up Metformin | Metformin 500mg Side Effects Constipation Diarrhea Hey guys! This weeks video is about metformin and the importance of slowly building up your dose to the prescribed dose to help reduce it's side effects when you're first started on it. Metformin is a medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes and sometimes polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Type 2 diabetes is an illness where the body doesn't make enough insulin, or the insulin that it makes doesn't work properly. This can cause high blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). PCOS is a condition that affects how the ovaries work. KEY FACTS: • Metformin works by reducing the amount of sugar your liver releases into your blood. It also makes your body respond better to insulin. Insulin is the hormone that controls the level of sugar in your blood. • It's best to take metformin with a meal to reduce the side effects. • The most common side effects are feeling sick, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach ache and going off your food. • Metformin does not cause weight gain (unlike some other diabetes medicines). • Metformin may also be called by the brand names Bolamyn, Diagemet, Glucient, Glucophage, and Metabet. HOW AND WHEN TO TAKE: It's best to take metformin tablets with a meal to reduce the side effects. Swallow your metformin tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not chew them. Metformin tablets come in different strengths. Your doctor will tell you how many tablets to take a day. DIFFERENT TYPES OF METFORMIN: Metformin comes as 2 different types of tablet - standard-release tablets and slow-release tablets. Standard-release tablets release metformin into your body quickly. You may need to take them several times a day depending on your dose. Slow-release tablets dissolve slowly so you don't have to take them as often. Your doctor or pharmacist will explain what type of metformin tablets you are on and how to take them. Metformin is also available as a liquid for children and people who find it difficult to swallow tablets. Liquid metformin is called by the brand name Riomet. WILL MY DOSE GO UP OR DOWN: Your doctor will check your blood sugar levels regularly and may change your dose of metformin if necessary. When you first start taking metformin standard-release tablets you will be advised to increase the dose slowly. This reduces the chances of getting side effects. (See video for explanation on how to build up dose slowly) If you find you can't tolerate the side effects of standard-release metformin, your doctor may suggest switching to slow-release tablets. HOW TO COPE WITH SIDE EFFECTS: • Feeling sick - take metformin with food to reduce the chances of feeling sick - it may also help to slowly increase your dose over several weeks. • Diarrhoea or vomiting - have small but frequent sips of water. It may also help to take oral rehydration solutions which you can buy from a pharmacy or supermarket to prevent dehydration. Don't take any other medicines to treat diarrhoea or vomiting without speaking to a pharmacist or doctor. • Metallic taste in the mouth - if you find that metformin is giving you a metallic taste in the mouth, try chewing sugar-free gum. If you find you are suffering from side effects talk to your doctor about switching to a slow-release tablet. Fruits to Eat and Avoid If You Have Diabetes

06:42
Download my diabetes diet and management guide here: https://goo.gl/tjuN80 I think I want to start with those fruits we should avoid and end this video on a happy not today. Among fresh fruit, there are only a handful that fall above the low level of glycemic load. They are: Banana 11 Grapes 11 Figs 16 Dried Dates 18 Raisins 28 And the last 2 on the list aren’t actually fresh fruit. Dried fruit is a food we really should avoid as one with diabetes. They just compact all the sugars into a small package and really bump up the impact they can have on your blood sugar. Another fruit we need to avoid is any canned fruit packed in heavy syrup. Heavy syrup is honestly just another way to say “SUGAR.” It truly is a can of sugar waiting to elevate your blood sugar. Fruits canned in heavy syrup, on average, will add 40 to 50 grams of sugar per serving! So we should avoid those at all costs. If you need to get canned fruit, get those canned in water or in the fruits own juices, that is a much better substitute. While talking about fruit, we also must be sure we stay away from fruit-like foods like fruit roll ups, fruit chews and the like. Some may say made with real fruit juice and they are, but they are also made with real sugar. Also while speaking of fruit, fruit juices are something you need to be leery of as well. Many of the fruit juices have added sugar and even if not, the juice has little if any dietary fiber which helps to off set some of the sugar’s effect on your blood sugar levels. When thinking about the best fruits to eat, pick those that you like. I think choosing fruits that have edible skin is always good because of the dietary fiber they bring with them. Apples, pears, tomatoes (yes a tomato is a fruit) are all good choices. Berries are good choices for the same reason. Strawberries and blueberries bring a ton of antioxidants and Vitamin C to the table and their skin has a bit of fiber as well. As a matter of fact, apples and strawberries have the lowest GL among the most common fruits enjoyed by humans. Other great fruits are melons. For years, those of us with diabetes were told we couldn’t have melons because they were too high in sugars. The glycemic index of most melons is quite high. But when the glycemic load scale came to light, we saw that even though melons have a high GI, they really have little effect on our blood sugar at all. Watermelon is a wonderful example. Depending on what type, the GI of watermelon can be from 75 to 95. Now there is no way a person with diabetes would have even considered it OK to eat a food with a glycemic index that high, but the glycemic load of watermelon is only about 5, a perfectly fine food to eat. Citrus fruits are another great food. Oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes all have a low GL in the 1-4 ranges. Each of these fruits bring all important Vitamin C to our bodies which helps our immune system tremendously. Other fruits that are awesome are peaches, mangos, nectarines, cherries, I mean I could really just go on and on. Fresh fruit is a wonderful choice. Also, consider frozen fruit. Most frozen fruit is great as well. Just be sure to get frozen from the field, or without additives. Sometimes those additives are sugar or some other form of unhealthy carb. How do we incorporate fruits into our daily mean plan? Hey, they are great as one of your snacks through the day. Many fruits are also a great addition to things such as greek yogurt, oatmeal, sugar free jello. Many frozen fruits are just ready for a smoothie or a bowl of milk. Cut up a peach or put some frozen peaches in a bowl with some milk and a little sucralose and you will thank me tomorrow.

Take Dr. Berg's Body Type Quiz: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz Dr. Eric Berg talks about Sugar and diabetes. Sugar increases insulin which lowers the sugar in the blood and puts it in storage as fat. A healthy diet should consist of fats and moderate amount of proteins. A diabetic diet should have high quantities of fat. Sugar stimulates hunger and you carve for more food. 40 % of all heart diseases are related to excess sugar. Keeping your blood sugar levels in control is a primary objective for a healthy body. The current recommendations for carbohydrates based on the American Diabetes Associations is 45-60 grams of carbohydrates PER MEAL!!!!! not per day, per meal. http://www.diabetes.org/food-and-fitn... blood sugar problems can be improved if the right foods are eaten, but overall sugars and carbs must be reduced. Fats can be increased. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 50 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional and natural methods. Metformin: Diabetes worst enemy

06:26
Part 2: Defending metformin (from the haters) http://youtu.be/oH_6yW_YKLA Please watch my Glycemic index video as a supplement to this http://youtu.be/wGBqEojeEDE Metformin is often times the first diabetic drug I use in new diabetics. It is inexpensive, can be used with many other diabetic drugs in combination, it can cause weight loss and has been shown to decrease cardiovascular risk and even pancreatic cancer. It can be used safely in non-diabetics, and pre-diabetics. It can cause GI side effects, so when I start someone on it, I usually give them 1000mg pills, and the goal is to take 1000mg twice a day. Start with 1/2 pill once a day at dinner, in one week, Take 1/2 pill twice a day with food, in another week, take 1/2 pill in the morning and one at dinner, Finally advance to 1 pill twice a day. Some people cannot tolerate the full dose, and have to take somewhat less of a dose. Switching to the ER version can be helpful. If you eat lots of carbs, you will have more side effects. Limiting carbs, helps to tolerate it better AND can help you to lose more weight.

Find out how to tell if you’re doctor is giving you the best treatment, or whether he’s on the big pharma payroll. The Breakthrough “Pancreas Jumpstart” Technique Will Lower Your Blood Sugar And Even REVERSE Your Type 2 Diabetes It fixes your insulin resistance so you can throw away your insulin injections and diabetes medication. Study after study has shown this natural technique works, regardless of how old you are, how long you’ve had the disease, or how high your blood sugar is. The “At-Home” Medical Discovery That Saved My Life I did it without relying on the pharmaceutical companies, or their “bandaid fix” medications. I couldn’t believe the results… Everyone who stuck to this program lowered their blood sugar and reversed their Type 2 Diabetes. In case you have questions, I’ve collected a couple of the most common ones here to answer: Does Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer really work? Yes! Like I said, virtually every single person who has completed the program has been able to reverse their diabetes. It jumpstarts your pancreas to start producing enough insulin again, and retrains your body to absorb and use that insulin. Obviously, you can’t just download the system and then never use it. Its works, if you work it. That’s why I’ve made it so simple to follow. How soon can I stop taking my medication? Remember, I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes, and then decide with your doctor when to go off your medication. Dr. Taylor’s study showed that within 8 weeks, every participant had brought their blood sugar down to normal levels, and reversed their disease. Around half reversed their disease at 4 weeks. The fastest recorded was 11 days. So depending on factors like your genetics, the severity of your disease, and how committed you are to the program, most people will destroy their Type 2 Diabetes in between 2 and 6 weeks. Is it scientifically proven? Absolutely. The Diabetes Destroyer System is based on research at Newcastle University in England, Harvard University here in the US, and dozens of other studies. There have been studies all over the world showing that these principles can reverse your type 2 diabetes. How difficult is this program? The first step is the toughest, but like I said: if you can say no to donuts and pizza once in a while, you can handle this temporary meal plan. And it’s obviously not too hard, since people all over the world have successfully used these methods. Plus, once you finish the first step, the next 2 are practically effortless. If for some reason it doesn’t work for you, just let me know, and I’ll refund your money 100%. Can I Do Keto & Intermittent Fasting If I am a Diabetic on Metformin and Insulin?

02:52
Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg answers the question, "can I do a keto and intermittent fasting if I am a diabetic on metformin and insulin. The answer is yes, because in both situations your sugar is high and your insulin will also be high. This is because in type 1, you're taking insulin and fluctuating be a higher high sugar state and a low blood sugar state and taking some carb to raise it. The big point is rarely does one focus on the triggers to blood sugars in the first place. This is a deeper root cause and if you could take the least amount of insulin to control blood sugars then you will receive the least amount of side effects. High insulin is a bit more dangerous than high sugars, but both are equally bad for your eyes (retina), your kidneys, your heart and blood vessels and your nerves and brain. So the top two things you need to do is reduce your carbs and do intermittent fasting. Both of these actions will greatly take the stress of the cells of the pancreas and liver and allow you to take less insulin. Get with your doctor as you manage your medications on this. Someone had a question, can I do Keto and Intermittent Fasting if I am diabetic, on Metformin and Insulin at the same time. I don’t know if this person is type 1 or type 2, chances are here type 2 going into type 1 eventually. But here’s the difference, type 1 is the problem of pancreas not producing insulin. Type 2 is more of a problem with the receptor and not receiving insulin and the feedback goes back and causes the pancreas to produce more insulin to compensate. It is a compensatory type of thing and you have high amounts of insulin. But both of these situations type 1 and type 2 have high blood sugars. Metformin makes the receptor more receptive to insulin and the insulin gives you what the pancreas is not providing in the body. But the problems is, if you are type 1, they are giving you insulin, your insulin is going to be high now because you are going to be taking insulin to control this out of control blood sugar. So in both of this conditions you have high sugar and high insulin at the same time. Now it’s more dangerous to have high insulin than it is to have high sugar, there is more problems. Sustain high levels of insulin destroys the retina, kidney, arteries and the brain. Of course high sugars will do it too but high insulin creates even more destruction. The goal is to take the least amount of insulin possible. If you are type 1 and maybe your cells are completely destroyed of any chance of recovery but we still want you to take the least amount of insulin possible so it would make sense to avoid the triggers of insulin. Unfortunately, the American Diabetes Association does not recommend what i'm gonna recommend but the needs to be more focus on the diet and the frequency of eating because reducing your carbohydrates and doing the intermittent fasting are the two things they are gonna allow the person to take the least amount of insulin. And it's also gonna help improve insulin resistance which will take the stress off the liver and the cells. DR. 02:38
Polycystic ovarian disease is a disease in women where there are changes in the hormonal levels leading to overweight and irregular cycles. And patient has hyperinsulinemia and the patient is on metformin. So we cannot put the patient on metformin lifelong. So the lifelong treatment for Polycystic ovarian disease is diet and exercise. BMI has to be maintained between 18 to 25. BMI is weight in kgs, to height in meter square. So it has to be maintained. So the girl has to be counseled with diet and exercise. So do one to one and a half hours exercise daily and like gymming, aerobics and swimming, walking, jumping, and climbing. So the mode of exercise the girl has to take high protein diet like egg white, milk products, all types of dals, sprouts, pulses, non-veg pieces. No gravies, almonds, acrot has high proteins. The fruit which has high protein is guava. So high protein diet and daily means of exercise depending upon the BMI is very necessary to bring down a proper BMI for girl with PCOS.

Metformin

17:48
The inexpensive drug generically available as metformin remains the first choice for type 2 diabetics in whom diet and exercise fail to work. Not only does it dramatically improve blood sugar levels and hemoglobin A1c, but unlike other diabetes drugs, its use may lead to weight loss and is rarely associated with hypoglycemia. When necessary it may be combined with additional anti-diabetes medicines. Additionally preliminary reports suggest metformin may act to prevent a variety of tumors and even increase survival in colon cancer.

What should I do when fasting? What shouldn’t I do when fasting? And the biggest question, “What can I eat while I’m fasting.” This video will sum it up pretty easily in terms of the three things you should definitely avoid during your fasting periods. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consume anything during, as dehydration can lead to sluggishness and foggy thinking. You can stay hydrated with water or herbal tea. Both water and herbal tea help your body to stay hydrated without interrupting your its fat burning processes. Plus they can be cozy, comforting, or refreshing, helping to fulfill some of those psychological needs we often try to fill with food throughout the day. Yuri also touches on the importance of following your doctor’s guidelines when it comes to daily medications, especially if you need to take them with meals. Staying on top of an illness is more important than any fasting routine. Lastly, Yuri will also teach you how intermittent fasting can help with your weight loss efforts. What Is The Best Diet for PCOS?

04:25
For more details, click here: http://www.dietvsdisease.org/best-diet-pcos/ To subscribe to the channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/DietvsDiseaseOrg?sub_confirmation=1 PCOS is one of the most common hormonal disorders in the developed world. In fact, it’s thought to affect almost 7% of pre-menopausal women in the US. But there is surprisingly limited information on how to treat it naturally. That's the topic of this video. What Is The Best Diet for PCOS? PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) is a condition characterised by hormonal imbalances in women. Specifically, an imbalance in male hormones (or androgens) produced by the ovaries. Unfortunately there is no known cure yet, and the cause is unknown. However, genetic predisposition coupled with inadequate diet is thought to be a major driver. STUDY: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23420000 Research shows the most effective eating pattern for PCOS is one that promotes weight loss and reduces levels of the hormone insulin. This is because PCOS coupled with weight gain drives insulin resistance. That’s why PCOS dramatically increases risk of type 2 diabetes and other metabolic health conditions. Additionally, studies show high insulin levels appear to upset regulation of the sex hormones. This worsens PCOS in a viscous cycle. Whichever diet or eating pattern helps you to successfully lose weight and lower insulin will have the best possible outcomes. Assuming you have been unsuccessful following a low-fat diet (which can work), the best alternative is a low carb diet. A low carb diet is an eating pattern where carbs make up roughly 30% or less of your energy intake. By comparison, the average American diet is around 60% carbs. Reducing carbs tends to equal a higher protein intake, shown to keep you feeling full for longer and reduce total calories consumed through the day. That’s why low carb diets can work well for weight loss when not counting calories. A ketogenic diet, which is an extremely low carb diet, has also shown to be promising, but it's incredibly hard to stick to long-term, so mch so that I don't typically recommend it. Aside from overall eating patterns, there are some common food concerns of PCOS patients that should be clarified. One of the main issues is dairy consumption. Some observational studies have linked low-fat dairy intake with increased risk of PCOS, while others suggest full-fat dairy has a protective effect. It’s really unclear at this stage, but we cannot draw any firm conclusions from observational studies. If low-fat dairy is indeed bad for PCOS, and full fat dairy is not, it’s likely because low-fat dairy and other “diet” products tend to have significantly more sugar. In any case, dairy-free is certainly worth a try if other changes have not helped. With a wholesome diet, dairy is not essential. There have also been some concerns with soy and PCOS, but again there isn’t much evidence to go by. It seems moderate soy consumption is likely safe, but at the same time it seems an unnecessary risk to eat a lot or increase your intake. STUDY: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21793705 Several studies indicate those with PCOS tend to have high levels of a compound in the blood called homocysteine. High levels are thought to be an independent risk factor for heart disease and stroke The most efficient way to reduce homocysteine is by increasing folate or folic acid intake, which are forms of vitamin b9. Folate comes from whole foods, while folic acid is the synthetic version. The top folate sources per 100-gram serve are beans and lentils, raw spinach, asparagus, and romaine (cos) lettuce. Lastly, you must Limit Junk Food and Added Sugars, which are a nightmare for treating PCOS. They’re typically high in calories and added sugars, which can raise insulin levels and disrupt other hormones. Know that treating PCOS also involves reducing chronic stress, increasing physical activity levels and getting adequate sleep. All these factors greatly influence our hormones, and in the end PCOS is a hormonal problem. Dietitian: Joe Leech (MSc Nutrition)

Now, they’re good for your heart and blood sugar because they reduce inflammation and blood sugar - even when eaten with carbs such as white rice.2-5 3 - Nuts Raw nuts taste great and are good for you. They’re high in fiber, very low in carbs and contain healthy, essential fats.6-8 All of this helps reduce inflammation and lower blood sugar, A1C and Cholesterol levels. 4 - Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Extra-virgin olive oil is extremely beneficial for heart health and blood sugar. It contains oleic acid… This is a type of monounsaturated fat that has been shown to improve triglycerides and HDL, which are often at unhealthy levels in type 2 diabetes. It also increase the fullness hormone, GLP-1.9 This reduces your cravings, especially for sugars. 5 - Seeds Raw seeds such as flax, sunflower, pumpkin, hemp and sesame seeds have lots of health benefits. They’re very high in fiber and full of amazing minerals and vitamins. They’re proven to help Decrease your risk for heart disease 10 Improve your blood sugar levels 11 Reduce your A1C levels 11 Improve blood flow and circulation 12 6 - Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and lower fasting blood sugar levels. It may also reduce blood sugar response by as much as 20% when consumed with meals containing carbs. 13-15 7 - Berries Most people are told not to have sugar, especially fructose which is the sugar found in fruit. To a certain degree, this is correct. So those are the 7 foods clinically proven to lower your blood sugar. However, there’s one category even more powerful... Herbs, Plants & Extracts Even though today’s topic is about food… there are specific plants, herbs, spices and extracts which can have dramatically positive effects on your blood sugar -- much more than food. And if you want the truth, plants and herbs are food and probably one the most important categories of food. And specific plants, herbs and extracts can have drug-like results, but without any of the negative side-effects. Which, shouldn’t be surprising because most drugs, well over 50%, are actually based on plants and herbs found in nature. The pharmaceutical companies change the original structure, patent them and make billions. Unfortunately, in the process of changing the natural structure, they also create side-effects. Anyway, my favorite are Bitter Melon, Gymnema Sylvestre, Fenugreek, Banaba Leaf and Cinnamon Extract.18-21 ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. How To Lower Blood Sugar Immediately

05:00
You can find Sensolin here: https://www.truthnutra.com/sensolin-yt In the next 60 seconds I'm going to show how to lower blood sugar immediately and naturally increase insulin sensitivity. So first off, let's take a look at… What is insulin? Insulin is a hormone that's produced by the pancreas, that helps turn sugars from carbohydrates to energy. It also allows the body to store glucose for future use. The muscles and liver store the sugars as glycogen, which causes muscle cells to expand. Likewise, fat cells store the sugar as triglycerides and may expand as well. Now, what is insulin sensitivity, and insulin resistance. Insulin sensitivity is how receptive the body is to the insulin it produces. When the body is properly sensitive to insulin, it uses that insulin produced and effectively removes it from the bloodstream, making energy and storing glucose for later. A healthy body is sensitive to insulin, which means it needs to make less insulin to stay healthy. Better yet, being more insulin sensitive allows the body to utilize carbohydrates properly for more energy, building muscle, and will also help the body store less fat. What's even better, is that greater insulin sensitivity is going to lead to higher T levels in men. Now what are some signs that a person might have poor insulin sensitivity? Or have developed insulin resistance? Higher insulin levels can cause weight gain, higher insulin levels can cause aging, higher insulin levels can cause reduced T, higher insulin levels increases cravings for junk foods, and also leads to blood pressure issues. With all of this in mind, for anyone who feels as though they're one of those people who is constantly riding the blood sugar roller coaster, with blood sugar all over the place, depending on what you eat, when you eat, and you get hangry and get crazy when they don't have food, For everyone who needs help with blood sugar control and needs to increase their insulin sensitivity naturally, and for the good people out there who don't want to go take drugs to achieve this, I've got 3 natural compounds to use today to simply, and quickly increase insulin sensitivity naturally and get control over those cravings once again. Now the first thing is what's known as berberine. Now berberine is an alkaloid extract taken from various plants and it's been used in traditional chinese medicine for centuries. Some of the benefits of berberine include, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic effects, improved intestinal health, improved cholesterol numbers, increased exercise performance, and decreased blood pressure. Now the recommended dosage for berberine is between 500-1500mg/day. It's also recommended to take this dosage split between 2-3 times throughout the day. Now next up, we have cinnamon ceylon oil. Cinnamon is commonly used as a spice but it's also known for its numerous biological effects on the body. The best type of cinnamon is ceylon because it has lower coumarin content. Cinnamon has a ton of benefits, including reducing the rate at which glucose enters the body, improved glucose usage in cells, lower fasting blood sugar, and improved cholesterol levels. Now the recommended dosage for daily cinnamon intake is between 1-6g per day. And the third compound, the third natural ingredient that you can consume on a daily basis is actually what's known as chromium. Chromium is an essential mineral that's consumed through your diet. It's found in plant products and grains. The benefits of chromium include, a regulation of glucose metabolism, improved insulin sensitivity, it is used to treat glucose intolerance in type 2 diabetes, leads to a great reduction in appetite, improved symptoms of depression, and a noticeable increase in libido with the right amount of chromium. Now the daily recommended dosage of chromium is between 800-1000 mcg. At this point, some of y'all are probably wondering: where do we get all these things? One option is to search around on Amazon and try to find them, but we did at Truth Nutra is that we put together a supplement known as Sensolin (hold up sensolin bottle). Sensolin is specifically designed with these three ingredients at the exact clinical dosages shown in human studies to actually work, to actually help regulate blood glucose and to help with insulin sensitivity. Now we put them all in here, it's a very simple supplement. And it actually works. 🍬 How To Lower Your A1C Levels - 10 Easy & Clinically Proven Ways

A simple formula that lowered my uncle’s blood sugar by 46%, and lowered A1C levels, naturally: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/FixYourBloodSugar Or go and watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1w65TPrd88 Refferences: 1. http://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2434682 2. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26965765 3. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15331548 4. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1325029/ 5. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19099589 6. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11893482 7. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10731498 8. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2194788 9. http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1038/oby.2004.61/full 10. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10372237 11. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12450884 12. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21994426 13. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/108167 14. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11174021 =============================================== 🍬 10 Clinically Proven Ways To Lower Blood Sugar & Avoid Diabetes =============================================== If you want to avoid or reverse type 2 diabetes … lose belly fat… have more energy… look and feel younger and slow down the aging process, you’re going to have to manage your blood sugar levels and more importantly, monitor your A1C levels. A1C test is a blood tests that gives you an average level of your blood sugar over the previous 90 days. The higher the percentage, the higher your average blood glucose levels are, and the higher your risk for either diabetes or related complications due to chronic high blood sugar and insulin levels. It’s much more accurate than checking your blood sugar levels. Needless to say, all of us will look and feel much better and actually help prevent MOST diseases by keeping your A1C levels lower. So with that said, I’m going to quickly discuss 10 clinically proven ways that you can quickly, easily and naturally improve your blood sugar levels, lower your A1C and help avoid and/or reverse many health problems. 1. Exercise Daily Regular, daily exercise can help you lose unwanted fat. But more importantly, helps improve “insulin sensitivity”. 2. Eat The Correct Carbohydrates When you eat carbs, your body converts it into sugar (mostly glucose). As your blood sugar goes up, your body secretes insulin to help lower it back down to a normal, healthy range. Now, carbs are not evil. However, the wrong carbs, especially in high amounts ARE bad for your health. Focus more on vegetables, some yams, little bit of rice, legumes, quinoa and whole grains. Get rid of the bad carbs and eat less total carbs.(2,3,4,5) 3. Eat More Fiber Fiber has so many benefits and sadly, most people are barely getting any. You should be eating at least 25 grams or more. While most Americans are barely getting around 5-10. 4. Eat Smaller Meals, More Often I’m sure you’ve heard about this when it comes to weight loss. However, one of the reasons for the weight loss is the lower blood sugar levels from eating smaller meals. (9,10,11) 5. Watch What You Drink You should never drink your calories -- no sodas, juices, alcohol, “shakes” or anything similar. They all digest quickly and spike up your blood sugar. 6. Manage Your Stress Levels You can’t have health without also discussing stress management. What’s interesting is that stress increases blood sugar levels AND decreases insulin sensitivity. (15,16) And this is because of a change in hormones such as glucagon, cortisol, testosterone, adrenal hormones and so forth. (17,18) 7. Better Quality Sleep You can’t manage your stress if you don’t get enough, quality sleep. Again, this has to do with a negative changes in your hormones when you don’t sleep well. (20,21) 8. Drink Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar, like exercise, helps lower blood sugar levels AND improve insulin sensitivity. (22,23,24). 9. Lose Fat Losing unwanted fat and decreasing your belly fat has numerous health benefits. This is even more true with blood sugar levels because the lower your body fat, the higher your insulin sensitivity. 10. Take Natural Supplements Most people just give up after a week or two since they aren’t getting results fast enough, especially for the amount of time and effort. This is why I always suggest people take natural supplements. ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. Jay Campbell (From TRTRevolution.com) interviews Nelson Vergel, a heath expert and founder of www.ExcelMale.com , www.ClinicOptimizers.com & www.DiscountedLabs.com, about Metformin's effects on aging, body composition, metabolism, hormones and more. Since the discovery of Metformin (way back in 1922), the medication has become one of the most vital medications in the world. The World Health Organization has included it in its List of Essential Medicines among other drugs used to provide basic healthcare, and it is currently the most widely used oral diabetes medication. But what Jean Sterne, its creator, might not have realized is that Metformin can offer a lot of health benefits beyond just the treatment of diabetes. How To Control Blood Sugar Levels With a Boiled Egg

02:22
The blood sugar levels in your body rise after every time you eat something, especially if you are a Type 2 diabetic or insulin resistant. It is not easy to learn how to get your blood sugar levels under control. It can take a newly diagnosed patient several months to figure out what they can and cannot eat. While figuring this out, a patient with Type 2 diabetes will likely have some spikes in their sugar levels. Having high blood sugar is important to take seriously, as it can cause some serious health issues. If you have high blood sugar for too long, it can cause you to be more at risk for heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, vision issues and nervous system problems. Luckily, there are many foods that you can consume which will help you to control your blood sugar levels naturally, without medication. One such remedy only contains three ingredients to keep your blood sugar stabilized. You will need: - Apple Cider Vinegar. - Water. - Hard-boiled egg. Hard-boiled eggs are a great snack if you have diabetes because it is so high in protein. The protein in the egg helps you to feel full without causing your blood sugar to rise quickly. Protein slows down your digestive system and your body s absorption of glucose. This is extremely beneficial to people with diabetes. Apple cider vinegar makes your body more sensitive to insulin and helps your body from raising your blood sugar quickly. This is especially true after eating food that is high in starch. There was one study done in particular that showed positive results with Type 2 diabetics when they took apple cider vinegar before eating a meal high in glucose. How to do it: - Boil an egg in the afternoon, and peel it. - Pierce the egg a 2-3 times using a toothpick. - Put the egg in a mason jar and pour just enough vinegar over it so that it is completely covered. - Close the jar and let it soak overnight in your refrigerator. - The next morning, drink a glass of warm water and eat your egg. - Repeat this every day. Soon, you will notice that your blood sugar levels have improved and are more stabilized. If you like the video, give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends! PrevMedHeartRisk.com When we get a diagnosis of insulin resistance or metabolic syndrome is given, patients often want to know which is more effective- lifestyle or metformin. The NEJM published landmark research in 2002 showing that lifestyle is clearly more effective, IF - it involves intense lifestyle changes. This included 1-on-1 training for 6 months, a 7% weight loss, and over 150 minutes per week. Today we have found that HIIT, resistance training and low carb diets are also especially effective for preventing diabetes, heart attack, stroke, ED and dementia. What I eat: restaurant food: Gaining weight on a Low carb diet- FORD BREWER MD MPH

I come from a family with a bad family culture around food. My father was my height (5'10") and at times over 350 pounds. There were other problems with my family food culture. I have my own personal issues. My birth weight was 10.5 pounds. And my own peak weight was 185 pounds. I was plant-based for 30 years. However, during most of that time, I ate A LOT of plant carb sources, like grains, carrots, and juices. Based on that background, I developed a "license to eat" over the past 6-12 months. After a couple of years of a 6/1 intermittent fasting, and adding low carb, then Mimicked Fasting - I struggled to keep my weight up to 150 pounds. After having a couple of hypoglycemic episodes, I relaxed several of my food limits. I added some things I've never ate before, like garnishes with cheese and even bacon. I porked up quickly. Then after gaining 10 pounds, I confirmed what I'd suspected for years: I have atrial fib. As we get older, it's hard maintaining low blood sugars and balancing that against hypoglycemic episodes. One way to do that is stopping meds, like Metformin. I have stopped metformin when I go through caloric restriction episodes now. They told me to do that. I ignored it at my own peril. I also go through a few rules for eating out at restaurants, like: 1. limit myself to salads, salmon and egg white omelets; and 2. there are A LOT of foods served by restaurants that you just can't eat. How to prevent heart attack and stroke with METFORMIN; part 2 in a series

Blood glucose levels over 140 ( clearly pre-diabetic) causes damage to tissue in the kidney, retina, tendon, and arteries. The P21 gene on chromosome 9 was first thought to be a cancer gene, then a heart attack gene. It has been found to be due to diabetes, which causes both. This genetic problem leads to a problem with the metabolic function of glucose metabolism. Metformin is used by many to prevention cardiovascular inflammation. Pioglitazone is better at reducing existing inflammation, but has more serious side effects. There's always a trade-off. Diabetic foods to avoid

00:49
Diabetic foods to avoid-visit http://fumix.info/diabetes-cure to know more Think Twice Before Eating These Foods At Diabetic Living, we believe that eating with diabetes doesn't have to mean deprivation, starvation, or bland and boring foods. However, some foods really are best left on the table or in the store. Everyone -- with diabetes or without -- would be wise to avoid or limit the foods on this list because they are high in saturated fat, sodium, calories, or carbs, or might contain trans fats. High amounts of sodium and saturated fat can lead to heart disease, while excess sugars, high carb counts, and added calories can cause unwanted weight gain and blood sugar spikes. If you see some of your favorite foods on this list, don't despair: We've picked healthier options for you to choose from that taste great. So you can have your fries and eat them, too -- provided they're baked rather than deep-fat fried. *Nutrition information cited was gathered from company websites or food packaging. Best Choices Whole-grain flours, such as whole wheat flour Whole grains, such as brown rice Cereals containing whole-grain ingredients and little added sugar Whole-grain bread Baked sweet or white potato or baked steak fries Whole-grain flour or corn tortillas Corn, popcorn or products made from corn Worst Choices White flour Processed grains, such as white rice Cereals with little whole grain and lots of sugar White bread French fries Fried white-flour tortillas Vegetables and Diabetes Most vegetables contain fiber and are naturally low in fat and sodium (unless they are canned or frozen in sauces). Starchy vegetables, such as potatoes and corn, aren't included in this category. They are considered part of the breads, grains, and other starches group. Best Choices: Fresh vegetables, eaten raw or lightly steamed, roasted, or grilled Plain frozen vegetables, lightly steamed Low sodium or unsalted canned vegetables Lettuces, greens, kale, spinach, arugula Worst Choices: Canned vegetables with lots of added sodium Vegetables cooked with lots of added butter, cheese, or sauce Pickles (if you need to limit sodium; otherwise, pickles are okay) Sauerkraut, (same as pickles; limit only if you have high blood pressure) Fruits and Diabetes Fruits have carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They are naturally low in fat (except for avocados) and sodium. Most fruits have more carbs than do vegetables. Diabetic foods to avoid
