6 Thyroid Pain Symptoms | You Should Not Ignore Descriptions of thyroid pain symptoms: About 4.6 percent of the United States population suffers from underactive thyroid . The risk for developing hypothyroidism and infertility is higher in women over age 50 and postpartum females. If you have multiple signs and symptoms of this problem, ask your doctor to check your thyroid hormone levels and get treatment of thyroid. Here are the signs and symptoms that you have an underactive thyroid. 1. Unexplained Weight Gain Weight gain without any change in diet or physical activity may indicate low levels of thyroid hormones. These hormones help regulate basal metabolism and thermogenesis as well as the metabolism of fats and glucose. An underactive thyroid contributes to a lower metabolic rate, which may cause excess weight gain. If you have unexplained weight gain, it is essential to consult your doctor to determine the exact cause and get hypothyroidism treatment weight loss. 2. Dry and Flaky Skin If you are following your usual beauty and skin care regimen and haven’t changed any of the products you use but your skin is dry and itchy, it could be a symptom of hypothyroidism or thyroid dry skin. The change in skin texture and appearance can be due to reduced blood circulation, one of the side effects of having low thyroid hormones. In addition, a slowed metabolism due to low thyroid hormone production can reduce sweating. Without proper sweating, the skin becomes dry and flaky. As these skin signs are rather nonspecific and often subtle, people tend to ignore them or attribute them to other causes. It is best to consult your doctor to see if there is an underlying health condition causing these skin changes. 3. Muscle Soreness and Pain People suffering from hypothyroidism often experience muscle weakness, pain, stiffness, or cramping. There may also be general joint pain. Low metabolism disrupts how your body burns energy, which can affect how your muscles feel after doing your regular exercises. Low thyroid often increases inflammation that may be contributing to your muscle and joint pain. In fact, about 40 percent of the hypothyroid patients had predominantly sensory signs of a sensorimotor axonal neuropathy early in the course of thyroid disease. 4. Hair Loss hypothyroidism hair loss and Proper functioning of the thyroid gland is essential for the development and maintenance of the hair follicles, and an underactive thyroid can result in significant changes in hair growth and texture. It may also affect eyebrows and body hair. The thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) modulate several aspects of hair anatomy, from the hair growth cycle to the hair’s pigmentation. If you are worried about hair loss and other hair-related issues, see your doctor to get your thyroid checked. 5. Constant Fatigue and Tiredness Fatigue and extreme tiredness are very common in people who have an underactive thyroid. When low thyroid hormones flow through the blood, cells do not function properly, leading to less energy, fatigue and constant tiredness. These symptoms persist even after getting proper sleep and rest. A 2012 study published in the European Journal of Endocrinology notes that autoimmune hypothyroidism patients had significantly higher levels of fatigue as compared with differentiated thyroid carcinoma patients health thyroid. 6. Menstrual and Fertility Problems Women with hypothyroidism may experience menstrual as well as fertility problems. Thyroid hormones have a great influence on meenstruation, thyroid pregnancy, lactation and even uterine involution after childbirth. In fact, the study puts emphasis on the assessment of thyroid function in all patients with menstrual disorders to avoid unnecessary interventions like curettage and hysterectomy. Infertility can also be due to undiagnosed thyroid conditions. For any change in menstrual pattern as well as problems becoming pregnant, it is important to get your thyroid checked. It is used to treat thyroid hormone deficiency including the severe form known as myxedema coma. It may also be used to treat and prevent certain types of thyroid tumors. It is not indicated for weight loss. Levothyroxine is taken by mouth or given by injection into a vein. Maximum effect from a specific dose can take up to six weeks to occur.Side effects from excessive doses include weight loss, trouble tolerating heat, sweating, anxiety, trouble sleeping, tremor, and fast heart rate. Use is not recommended in people who have had a recent heart attack. Use during pregnancy has been found to be safe. It is recommended that dosing be based on regular measurements of TSH and T4 levels in the blood. Much of the effect of levothyroxine is following its conversion to triiodothyronine (T3).Levothyroxine was first made in 1927. It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system. Levothyroxine is available as a generic medication. The wholesale cost in the developing world is about 0.58 to 12.28 USD a month. In the United States a typical month of treatment is less than 25 USD. Levothyroxine was the most commonly prescribed medication in the US as of 2015.

Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland is underactive and doesn’t properly make or release thyroid hormones. The thyroid gland normally releases many crucial hormones that travel through the bloodstream to reach receptors found throughout the whole body. So a disturbance in thyroid function can cause widespread, noticeable health problems. According to the American Thyroid Association, 12 percent of Americans will develop a thyroid condition at some point in their lives. It has many beneficial properties but can also have some very serious side effects and can be very dangerous if combined with some types of medications. If you have any of these conditions, do not use apple cider vinegar to avoid complications. THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF THE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR One of the most common uses of apple cider vinegar is weight loss. Stroke reduces the appetite because it empties the stomach more gradually and makes you feel sated for longer without feeling the need to eat. According to a Chinese study, consumption of ACV reduces the risk of esophageal cancer by 37%. Apple cider vinegar can be used for the treatment of yeast infections and athlete's foot because it has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is related to some very serious conditions. Because of its acetic acid, stroke reduces bad cholesterol levels, blood pressure and reduces cancer risks. In addition, it has anti-glycemic properties and avoids the digestion of starches that cause blood sugar levels to rise, so it may be useful for diabetics. DO NOT USE THE SIDRA VINEGAR OF APPLES IF YOU USE ANY OF THESE MEDICINES! Although apple cider vinegar has wide use for various medical problems, you should know the side effects if combined with some medications, as they can be very serious. When apple cider vinegar interacts with some medications it lowers potassium levels in the body. Here is the list of medications that should not be combined with apple cider vinegar. Digoxin or Lanoxin This medicine is used to treat heart disease. Apple cider vinegar obstructs the absorption of potassium in the body, so it increases the risk of manifestation of side effects of this medication, which include vomiting, vision problems, mood swings, diarrhea and dizziness. Diuretics: Diuril, Lasix, Microzide and Thalitone These medications are used to treat swelling and stimulate the body to remove accumulated fluid. Potassium maintains the balance of water in the body and, as apple cider vinegar reduces potassium levels, can cause dehydration. Insulin Insulin is a medicine used by diabetics to balance blood sugar levels in the body. According to some studies, apple cider vinegar may help control blood sugar levels, but should never be taken in combination with insulin because the combination of these can greatly reduce potassium and sugar levels in the blood. blood. Consumption of apple cider vinegar should be taken with caution. Prolonged use of apple cider vinegar can cause low levels of potassium in the body, which can lead to other health problems. For example, consuming 8 ounces of apple cider vinegar every day for a couple of years can cause osteoporosis. OTHER GROUPS OF PERSONS WHO SHOULD NOT USE THE VINEGAR OF SIDRA OF APPLE Pregnant women and nursing mothers There is insufficient evidence of how apple cider vinegar affects the body and the fetus during pregnancy, so it is best to avoid taking ACV. This also goes for breastfeeding mothers because it is not so clear how it affects newborns. Diabetics If you have any type of diabetes, you should be very careful when taking apple cider vinegar. Stroke can lower blood sugar levels, so if you take any medication, you should adjust it if you want to include stroke. Potassium levels in the body can be reduced with insulin and apple cider vinegar. Therefore, taking ACV and insulin at the same time can greatly reduce potassium levels in the body. Postmenopausal women Postmenopausal women are already at risk for reduced bone density and taking large amounts of apple cider vinegar can cause osteoporosis because it reduces potassium levels in the body.

According to a Health Day News article, seniors may be at increased risk for fractures because they take "excessive" doses of drugs used to treat thyroid problems. It suggests that regular dose monitoring of thyroid drugs is essential into older age. Researchers examined the link between fractures and levothyroxine, widely used to treat an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism). * Many patients with hypothyroidism are diagnosed in early or middle adulthood but remain on the same drug dose as they age. * This can lead to excess levels of thyroid hormone, which increases the risk of fractures, especially in older women. They analyzed data from over 213,500 patients, aged 70 or older who filled at least one prescription for levothyroxine during the study period. More than 22,000 (10.4 percent) of the patients suffered at least one fracture. So check with your physician about your dosage if you are using this medication. Medication management and cross-management of medications is so important. My mom recently had an operation in which she may not have survived. She survived and thrived. However, he recuperation has been hindered by a cocktail of medications, all of which interact and cause other medical problems. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Media Compilation Bureau Friendly" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yohOce9qu6E -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Root Cause Book Review by Hair Loss Specialist Root Cause written by Izabella Wentz, PharmD, FASCP. Hashimotos’s Thyroiditis, lifestyle interventions for finding and treating the root cause by Izabella Wentz, PharmD, FASCP with Marta Nowosadzka, Md, is an amazing book to help you understand there is more to hashimoto’s than just hypothyroidism. Root Cause Book Review by Hair Loss Specialist, what I love about this book is the medical and science background on top of personal experience. The author is familiar with the symptoms patients with hashimoto’s present with and the fact that many regular medical testing methods fail to prove a diagnosis or address many of the symptoms or indeed the root cause. She explains how it can take years of nonspecific health problems and lifestyle choices for the condition of hasimotos’s to develop. Root Cause Book Review by Hair Loss Specialist: • An amazing, educational book • Helps you understand there is more to hashimoto’s than just hypothyroidism • Addresses many symptoms and root causes • Learn what is harming your immune system • Educate yourself tom learn how you can help yourself As Absolique Trichologist and avid reader of health books, I find this book to show the same consistent underlying information about supporting heath through nutrition and avoiding the thing we are now learning are harmful to our health and immune system. Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism have underlying autoimmune causes. This book could be yet another tool for you to identify the triggers and also how to protect, prevent and get out of the deep hole one can fall into when facing the many common symptoms of these problems. My motto is to educate yourself to help your own body, as nobody knows it better than you. As all of the other book reviews we have done at Absolique, I highly recommend this good read to help you to understand the choices you have and how you can choose your own direction with the help in finding a functional practitioner who also has the same ethos as you do. This book also covers many science based finding and common misconceptions about the overload or deficiency of iodine related to thyroid function. If you or anyone in your family have any thyroid or autoimmune concern, I highly recommend ready this complete guide to the start of a new beginning. For more on gluten sensitivity: http://draxe.com/gluten-sensitivity-diet/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Sept-2014&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=gluten In this video, I’m going to talk about what gluten sensitivity is, symptoms, and side effects. A few of the warning signs that indicate you are gluten sensitive are digestive issues, food allergies, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, weight gain, joint pain, arthritis, brain inflammation, ADHD, autism, hypothyroidism, or hormone imbalance. Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye that has been hybridized today, resulting in a new breed of gluten. This protein gets into your gut and causes intestinal inflammation, resulting in autoimmune disease and other problems. If you're gluten sensitive and are going gluten free, you can follow the GAPS diet, which supports your digestive system. In addition, taking supplements like L- Glutamine, digestive enzymes, and probiotics will help your body heal from gluten sensitivity. Following these tips you will notice an overall improvement in your gluten sensitivity symptoms! This chronic disease is an inflammatory disorder wherein the blood’s antibodies perceive the thyroid and its hormones as threats which lead to thyroid hormone deficiency. Due to the numerous differences in its symptoms, detection and diagnosis can be difficult. So today, Dr. Justin Marchegiani and Evan Brand talk about the different factors which act as Hashimoto’s triggers to help those who suffer from the disease. Tune in to discover several issues concerning Hashimoto’s and its symptoms, the various detection methods, the effects on the immune system, how to lessen the inconvenience, reasons why women are more prone to it than others, and ultimately, the most effective ways to avoid developing an autoimmune thyroid. In this episode, we will cover: 01:29 Hashimoto’s Disease 09:24 Socialized Medicine 13:40 Use of Secretory IGA in Measuring the Immune System 15:39 Women and Stress-sensitivity 18:24 Ketogenic Diet, Insulin Resistance and Hashimoto’s ===================================== Subscribe on I-Tunes: http://www.beyondwellnessradio.com/itunes Review us at: http://www.beyondwellnessradio.com/itunes Visit us at: http://www.beyondwellnessradio.com Have a question: http://www.beyondwellnessradio.com/question REFERENCE/S: “Hashimoto’s Protocol” by Izabella Wentz www.evanbrand.com www.justinhealth.com https://www.youtube.com/user/JustInHealth -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "GI Issues — Malabsorption, Infection & Inflammation in the Eye and Joint | Dr. J Live Q & A" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGf7F1Xi6po -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Have a questions for youtube? Send it to: email@example.com 01:53 - Yvette - How can Dr. Morse/Marcie instruct one to go on a vegan (fruit) diet without telling the person how to get all their required nutrients? They should tell people this: "I recommend an all fruit diet for detoxing, but you should know that this diet will not be entirely healthy for you. It will not be entirely healthy for you because on such a diet, you will not be getting all the essential nutrients that a body needs; and because you won't be getting all the essential nutrients a body needs, you may run into problems." Therefore, in addition to being on an all fruit diet, I recommend you get the missing nutrients by doing this: _____________________________." And they should fill in the blank by telling the person how they can get the missing nutrients. 17:24 - Matt - I am a 17 year old male who recently suffered from cystic acne. I went to the dermatologist about two years ago and they prescribed me Minocycline along with topical Benozyl Peroxide. I ran the antibiotic for three months with what I thought were amazing results. For the following 6 months my skin was perfectly clear but in August of 2013 I had the worst breakout of cystic acne on my cheeks and forehead of my life. I went back to the dermatologist and went on another round of Minocycline. Yes, it has cleared my acne, but it makes me uncomfortable knowing that the long term side effects of the drugs are probably far worse than I realized in regards to my digestive and immune wellness. I honestly believe that the drug is destroying my immune system to the point that if I got off my acne would return with vengeance. Is there any way I can improve the strength of my immune system so that I won't need the antibiotics to fend off the acne bacteria if/when it begins to resurface? 22:29 - Reggie - Is there a way to completely reverse diabetic neuropathy and regenerate nerves if the blood sugars are kept in control and proper diet is maintained? Please let me know what supplements need to be added and how long this process can take? 25:32 - Tracy & Sean - I have many health issues: Major depression w/ 2 suicide attempts, Anxiety, Instability of Lumbar Spine (LS), Forward slippage of LS, Sciatica, Weak pelvic floor, Cyst between L5 and S1, Lichen Sclerosis, Arthritis, No thyroid (1/2 removed in 95 (pap carcinoma) ½ removed 2005 (Hashimoto's thyroiditis -- cell changing), Radiation 2007 to remove all excess thyroid tissue, Dental -Root exposure , No alcohol, cigarettes, Benzodiazapines since June 2012. History of allergies (hayfever and food). I know from listening to you that all of my health issues are going to resolve themselves. The root exposure already is; and my teeth are cleaning themselves. Amazing. Love it! Have lost a lot of weight as well. (30 pounds in 40 days on fruit). woohooo! I am wondering, however, if I should continue taking my levothyroxine or if I should take one of your glandulars eventually? As for my son, he is still not feeling well. I am convinced that he has degenerative adrenals and kidneys. His acne is severe right now even after 40 days fruit and not quite a week on twice/day dose of your herbs. How long do you guess that we will be feeling better? We've both had extraordinary mental, physical and emotional detox symptoms. 36:16- Sara - A close family member (37 year old male) has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He is determined to do what he can to go the natural/detox way and has immediately started eating 100% raw. I am still trying to convince him to go completely fruit and I would like to know which of your formulas should he begin taking to start this journey the healthville.

Like, Comment, Subscribe and invite all your friends to see our videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfR3Y90G-fFDYI6i7E7xPBQ 8 Foods that Impact Thyroid Health 1. Seafood You may love to gobble down shrimp and fish of all kinds, but did you know that seafood is high in iodine, a mineral that is vital to a efficiently functioning thyroid, the gland that manages metabolism and growth. If you’re deficient in iodine, your thyroid may swell and you can become lethargic, fatigued, depressed, and void of energy. However, if you suffer from hyperthroidism (when the gland makes too much thyroid hormone), a diet high in iodine can exacerbate the symptoms—including accelerated heart rate, heart palpitations, mood swings, tremors, and anxiety. 2. Soy There has been a bit of controversy over soy and its good or bad affect on the thyroid. According to research from the Mayo Clinic, soy and soy products (i.e., soy milk and edamame) are believed to interfere with the body’s ability to utilize synthetic thyroid hormone and product thyroid hormones (if you are being treated for hypothyroidism). However, studies are still inconclusive. Unless you’re suffering from an iodine deficiency, soy is typically safe to eat and won’t mess with your thyroid’s ability to make thyroid hormones, but always check first with your doctor. Typically, an all or nothing mentality when it comes to food (total food group exclusion) tends to rob of of healthy, nutritious foods in or diets. 3. Leafy Greens Magnesium largely impacts several major body processes—including the thyroid’s function. In fact, the mineral is necessary for thyroid function (making thyroid hormone) in particular. If you’re not getting adequate magnesium, you may suffer low energy, heartbeat irregularities, and muscle cramps and painful spasms. Luckily, leafy greens are a powerful source of magnesium and incorporating daily doses of spinach, Swiss Chard, and leafy lettuces into your diet will ensure a well functioning thyroid gland. 4. Kale I know you might consider kale among the family of leafy greens (as mentioned in the previous slide). However, the green superfood is a high source of goitrogen, a substance that interferes with idodine uptake and suppresses thyroid function—meaning it may hinder the thyroid’s production of hormones necessary for regulating metabolism. This means that goitrogen-rich foods (i.e., kale, broccoli, Brussel’s sprouts) can be perfectly fine if you are getting adequate iodine in your diet. However, if you’re suffering iodine deficiency (or suffer from hypothyroidism) eating foods like kale can cause metabolism and energy issues. 5. Organ Meats For many, organ meats (i.e., liver, heart, and kidney) might not sound very appetizing. However, if you’re like my father, you can’t stay away from the fatty-acid rich meats. Organ meats are all high in a type of fatty acid, known as lipoic acid. And unfortunately, lipoic acid can cause thyroid function disturbances, such as lowering levels of thyroid hormone. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, also keep in mind that your doctor may ask you to steer clear of foods high in lipoic acid because they’ve been linked to interfering with certain thyroid medications (i.e., Levothyroxine). 6. Salt A very well known source of iodine is salt, but for most North Americans, we get plenty of salt in our daily diets (i.e., iodized table salt) in order for proper thyroid functioning. Keep in mind that if you suffer from low iodine enough that it affects the regular function of your thyroid, the switch to sea salt may not be adequate. Sea salt as well as salt used in most processed snack foods don’t normally contain iodine. 7. Gluten and Your Thyroid It seems as though gluten has made a bad name for itself in North America. With so many “gluten free” diets and “gluten intolerance” issues, many of us steer clear of the protein present in barley, wheat, and rye. However, unless you suffer from Celiac disease (which is a auto-immune responsive gluten allergy), your thyroid likely won’t suffer any ill function. However, if you do have Celiac disease, consuming even a small amount of gluten can damage the lining of your small intestines and increase your risk of Hashimoto’s disease (underactive thyroid) and Graves’ disease (overactive thyroid). 8. Nuts We’ve already established the magnesium is vital to healthy thyroid function. This means that if you’re nuts for nuts—including almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts, and even pumpkin seeds—your thyroid will thank you. Unlike the aforementioned almonds, cashews, and pumpkin seeds, which are, by themselves, a rich source of magnesium, Brazil nuts give you double the thyroid-powering benefits of magnesium and selenium, a mineral that boosts the thyroid as well as the immune system.

The kidneys are small, only about the size of a fist, but they perform vital functions that play a role in overall health. Each day, the kidneys filter about 120-150 quarts of blood, to produce 1-2 quarts of urine, filtering waste and extra fluid out of the body. The kidneys prevent the buildup of waste in the body, keep electrolyte levels stable, and make hormones that regulate blood pressure, make blood cells, and maintain strong bones. Many factors can lead to kidney damage, including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, a disease called glomerulonephritis, which damages the kidney’s filtering units, infections, kidney stones, and overuse of some over-the-counter pain killers. Repairing the kidneys after damage just may lie in a common household item: baking soda. How Baking soda it Work? The endocrine system produces hormones and enzymes to help digest food into safer chemicals that the body can process. The pancreas is usually the organ that produces the majority of sodium bicarbonate to protect the kidneys during digestion. Sometimes, the kidneys will produce additional amounts, depending on the type of food you eat. If your diet includes added sugar, fried foods, fatty foods and other unhealthy choices, the endocrine system can become stressed. Both the pancreas and the kidneys will suffer a significant reduction in their ability to produce sodium bicarbonate effectively. Without sufficient production of bicarbonate, the acids produced during digestion cannot be effectively neutralized, causing kidney damage. How to Use Sodium Bicarbonate for Kidney Damage Talk to a health care professional before starting any type of treatment. Sodium bicarbonate is not toxic, but it can be difficult for a sensitive stomach to digest. Proper administration for those in danger of developing kidney disease includes: On the first day, dissolve 1/2 teaspoon baking soda under the tongue. The next day, mix 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda with 1/2 teaspoon of salt into 1.5 liters of water, and drink each day for 2-3 days. Then, reduce your daily dosage to 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/3 teaspoon of salt. Kidney damage can be caused by living an unhealthy lifestyle, so the best way to protect your kidneys is to maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet! Graves’ disease - it may be one of the most common diseases you’ve never heard of. For young women in particular, it can be a grave concern. “Graves’ disease is one of the most common diseases in females. So the ratio from male to female is like 8 females to 1 male. And usually it affects young - around the age of 20,” says Dr. Heitham Ajlouni, who is an endocrinologist for Lee Memorial Health System. An autoimmune disease the body attacks itself. In Graves’ the thyroid gland over-produces hormones that impact metabolism. “You will start losing weight regardless of your appetite. The other thing you have is fast heartbeat. You have changes of your hair and skin. You will have heat intolerance, excess of sweating. Graves’ disease affects the eye, so their eyeball will protrude,” says Dr. Ajlouni. Patients are quick to realize something’s wrong. If it’s not treated, the disease can have serious consequences. “One of the most important thing it affects - the heart. When you have palpitations you are prone to something called arrhythmias. And this is life-threatening. If you are not treated, it will affect your bones. They are more prone to osteoporosis,” says Dr. Ajlouni. There are two fundamental ways to treat Graves’ disease. One is taking medications to regulate hormones. It requires frequent checkups to manage dosing. The other option is to remove or disable the thyroid. By surgery, or what is more common today, taking radioactive iodine. “We are giving a dose of radioactive iodine that will shut down your thyroid and you will end up having hypothyroid, under-active thyroid. And you will be taking levothyroxine for the rest of your life. It doesn’t have a lot of side effects. It’s easy to control, less frequent visits to your doctors, less frequent blood tests, and if you want to conceive, it’s easier to control while pregnant,” says Dr. Ajlouni. A Graves’ diagnosis means a lifetime of medical management, but in managing hormones, women can find balance in their lives. Graves' disease (or Basedow-Graves disease) is an autoimmune disease. It most commonly affects the thyroid, frequently causing it to enlarge to twice its size or more (goiter), become overactive, with related hyperthyroid symptoms such as increased heartbeat, muscle weakness, disturbed sleep, and irritability. It can also affect the eyes, causing bulging eyes (exophthalmos). It affects other systems of the body, including the skin, heart, circulation and nervous system. It affects up to 2% of the female population, sometimes appears after childbirth, and occurs seven to eight times more often in women than in men. Genetic factors are a major factor accounting for possibly around 80% of the risk. Smoking and exposure to second-hand smoke are associated with the eye manifestations, but not the thyroid manifestations. This video is targeted to blind users.
