He will get his main meal later today. *To answer a question I know I will get in the comments: Yes, it's OK to feed your dogs 'RAW' bones. It's only cooked bone you should never feed your dogs - including those large Smoke Bones they sell at pet stores. Cooking the bone makes it undigested, brittle and prone to causing obstruction of the g-track and a perforated bowel. Canines are meant to digest raw bones and have been doing it for millions of years. Don't take my word for it though, I'm just some guy on YouTube... lol. Do your research. Are Eggs With Blood Spots Safe To Eat? - - - This question is on of the: “Seriously gross, but I gotta know,” category. On our Facebook Fan Page we have also received questions like: “Is that weird reddish splotch really … blood?” “Is my egg safe to eat?” “How did that get in there anyway? So dear followers and fans it is time to put some of these worries to rest. Here’s what the blood spot is all about. WHY IS THERE A BLOOD SPOT? Yes, a blood spot is indeed a spot of blood. But it’s not the result of a bad egg or even an indication of a fertilized egg, it’s the result of a burst capillary in the hen’s ovary or in the yolk sac. This can be caused by many things, including the age of the hen and her diet, but it’s not a sign that the hen is unhealthy or has been mistreated in any way. In short: Blood spots are unsightly, but they’re also normal. HOW COMMON ARE BLOOD SPOTS? It’s also rare for us to get an egg with a blood spot. All commercial eggs are scanned and sorted by “candling,” which involves shining a light through the shell to spot defects. Most eggs with blood spots are sorted out by this process, but a few get through. If you have your own chickens or buy eggs from a farm, you may get a few with blood spots from time to time. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF AN EGG HAS A BLOOD SPOT? Blood spots don’t mean you have to toss the egg, though. The American Egg Board says that these eggs are completely safe to eat. If the blood spot bothers you, scoop it out with the tip of a knife and carry on with breakfast. Occasionally found on an egg yolk. These tiny spots do not indicate a fertilized egg. Instead, they are caused by the rupture of a blood vessel on the yolk surface during formation of the egg or by a similar accident in the wall of the oviduct. Mass candling methods reveal most eggs with blood and those eggs are removed. However, even with mass scanners, it’s impossible to catch them all. Both chemically and nutritionally, eggs with blood spots are fit to eat. You can remove the spot with the tip of a knife, if you wish.

When this occurs, swelling, and possibly pain, will result In other words, dehydration causes a buildup of fluid in the tissues and causes blood vessels to enlarge, which gives the face a “puffy” look Dehydration - Sodium High sodium intake is the number one culprit for fluid retention - the typical american diet is plagued with excessive sodium levels The job of the kidneys is to filter the excess sodium into the urine so that the body can get rid of it - Sodium attracts water to it and is known as being osmotic. Water follows the sodium and is drawn into the bloodstream. Excessive salt keeps the circulatory volume higher than it should be, creating and increased pressure in the blood stream and pressing on the blood vessel walls (5) One way to flush sodium out of the body is by getting more potassium - We average 2,500 mg a day, about half of the 4,700 mg minimum recommended for adults Potassium blunts the effects of sodium by helping relax the walls of blood vessels - The more potassium we eat, the more sodium we pass out of the body through urine. Cream of Tartar: Cream of tartar, also called potassium hydrogen tartrate, provides a bioavailable form of potassium rather than taking a potassium supplement One teaspoon of cream of tartar = 495 mg of potassium Note: Most people don’t realize that fresh and frozen poultry is sometimes injected with a sodium solution - so check the label Stomach Bloating Stomach bloating is the result of gas or fluid accumulating in your GI tract, or when bacteria in your large intestine have a hard time breaking down certain foods The most common type of foods that cause stomach bloating are high FODMAP foods. FODMAP is an acronym that stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides And Polyols Since your body is unable to completely digest these sugar molecules, they travel through your GI tract and reach your colon undigested, where the bacteria that live in your colon begin to ferment them. The fermentation can produce gas and bloating Raw Cruciferous Vegetables (Kale, Broccoli, Cabbage) Cruciferous veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, etc.) cause bloating and gas when eaten in their raw form - extremely high in insoluble fiber, which can be difficult for your body to break down. Cooking vegetables helps break down the fibers they contain, which makes them easier on the digestive system because they’re already partly broken down. Cruciferous veggies also contain raffinose, a sugar molecule - Raffinose cannot be broken down in the small intestine as humans lack the alpha-galactosidase enzyme required to break it down. It passes through your GI tract completely undigested. Once it reaches the large intestine though, the bacteria there thrive on it and ferment raffinose into large volumes of hydrogen, methane and other gases. Fermented Veggies: Sauerkraut, kim chi, sauerruben and curtido are excellent alternatives for people with gut issues. First, the fermentation process “pre-digests” the vegetables and makes them easier to absorb. I suffered from an upset stomach for most of my childhood, and was deemed "lactose intolerant" at a young age. But, once high school began, I was getting too sick to just avoid dairy. Upon my diagnosis, I began experimenting with my diet, in addition to taking over a dozen prescription drugs for my illness. I found myself eating the "white diet" for almost six years, which consisted of mostly fiberless, processed foods such as white bread, processed meat, egg whites, and sugary cereals. This diet allowed me to live my life outside of the bathroom, but did not aid in healing. Additionally, I developed chronic migraines, debilitating allergies, depression, and anxiety. Around age 19, I began experimenting again with my diet, and tried to incorporate more healthy foods. I introduced vegetables and fruits into my diet, and started eliminating highly processed foods. Through this journey, I stumbled upon a whole foods diet, leading to veganism eight months later. One month after going vegan, I found Fully Raw Kristina on YouTube, and binge watched her videos. The next morning, I woke up and ate bananas for breakfast, and have been a happy frugivore since. It’s been over two years now! I suffered from an upset stomach for most of my childhood, and was deemed "lactose intolerant" at a young age. But, once high school began, I was getting too sick to just avoid dairy. Upon my diagnosis, I began experimenting with my diet, in addition to taking over a dozen prescription drugs for my illness. I found myself eating the "white diet" for almost six years, which consisted of mostly fiberless, processed foods such as white bread, processed meat, egg whites, and sugary cereals. This diet allowed me to live my life outside of the bathroom, but did not aid in healing. Additionally, I developed chronic migraines, debilitating allergies, depression, and anxiety. Around age 19, I began experimenting again with my diet, and tried to incorporate more healthy foods. I introduced vegetables and fruits into my diet, and started eliminating highly processed foods. Through this journey, I stumbled upon a whole foods diet, leading to veganism eight months later. One month after going vegan, I found Fully Raw Kristina on YouTube, and binge watched her videos. The next morning, I woke up and ate bananas for breakfast, and have been a happy frugivore since. It’s been over two years now! This lifestyle shift allowed me to get off all prescription drugs, and be completely symptom free! The fruit-based raw vegan lifestyle has helped me turn a negative diagnosis into a positive lifestyle change. Through this journey, I have manifested my dream life of optimal health and happiness.

If you do shop at a grocery store, go around the walls where produce, meats, and other wholesome ingredients are: avoid the aisles with prepackaged items. Avoid sugars, especially hidden in different sauces, as they are candida foods. Salt should also be avoided as excessive amounts deplete the body of vital nutrients. I suffered from an upset stomach for most of my childhood, and was deemed "lactose intolerant" at a young age. But, once high school began, I was getting too sick to just avoid dairy. Upon my diagnosis, I began experimenting with my diet, in addition to taking over a dozen prescription drugs for my illness. I found myself eating the "white diet" for almost six years, which consisted of mostly fiberless, processed foods such as white bread, processed meat, egg whites, and sugary cereals. This diet allowed me to live my life outside of the bathroom, but did not aid in healing. Additionally, I developed chronic migraines, debilitating allergies, depression, and anxiety. Around age 19, I began experimenting again with my diet, and tried to incorporate more healthy foods. I introduced vegetables and fruits into my diet, and started eliminating highly processed foods. Through this journey, I stumbled upon a whole foods diet, leading to veganism eight months later. One month after going vegan, I found Fully Raw Kristina on YouTube, and binge watched her videos. The next morning, I woke up and ate bananas for breakfast, and have been a happy frugivore since. It’s been over two years now! This lifestyle shift allowed me to get off all prescription drugs, and be completely symptom free! The fruit-based vegan lifestyle has helped me turn a negative diagnosis into a positive lifestyle change. Through this journey, I have manifested my dream life of optimal health and happiness.
