Connect with a specialist: http://bit.ly/1np12hH Learn more about aneurysmal bone cysts (here: http://bit.ly/1np1mwN) and how we are using minimally-invasive techniques to treat them (here: http://bit.ly/1np1HiY). Learn about our Radiology Department (here: http://bit.ly/1np1nAX) and Dr. Shiels (here: http://bit.ly/1np1mNp). When Amanda was diagnosed with an aneurysmal bone cyst in her neck, she feared it would change her life and limit her physically. After researching her treatment options, she came to Nationwide Children's for a breakthrough, non-invasive treatment. This treatment uses a specially formulated medication that is injected through needles into the cyst, which then kills it. The process was created by Dr. William Shiels as an alternative to invasive surgery. Now, Amanda is back to living an active, healthy life with full range of movement in her neck. Patient with a growing abscess in her armpit, presented to the ER for evaluation and treatment. She had a history of similar infections in the past, and she already was on BACTRIM for 3 days. However the infection kept growing and hurting more and more. Patient received a shot of IM dilaudid for pain control before the attempt at incision and drainage. When we went to do the procedure, the site was already draining spontaneously.

It is my opinion only, that the damage these antibiotics are causing to people's bodies may be partially or fully due to the drug's destruction of crucially important healthy forms of bacteria in the gut. This, along with leaky gut which I believe is epidemic, may cause both a fungal version of yeast called candida to breach the barrier in the gut, and give the immune system a particularly difficult time managing it, as well as oxalate to also permeate the entire body causing a potential double-whammy that if addressed, may reverse the condition. Lots to be pissed off about with this situation. But one biggie is in how people are being told this condition is permanent. Although I believe it can be difficult to reverse, I believe it is entirely possible if approached from the above theoretical standpoint. That is how I approached it, and have had tremendous results. See my programs as well as the free info over at http://MaintenanceMotions.com. If you have some organic expeller-pressed coconut oil...or oil of your choice according to options available via Ayurvedic tradition...I'd give oil pulling a try, sticking with it for a solid few months. I have found it to be incredibly effective for joint/tendon issues, with dietary change, gut health with probiotics, and candida management to offer profound improvements. I need to consistently maintain the effort, but it's a part of my lifestyle regardless. Then I added some high quality ubiquinol to assist with mitochondrial damage, and energy production. http://FacelessFatloss.com My Over 40 program: http://Over40andRipped.com And Facebook: http://facebook.com/tim.ripped Love, Happiness, Health and Peace.........Tim .

A milium (single for milia) is a small superficial cyst formed in the top layer of the skin called the epidermis. They appear as tiny, pearly-white bumps just under the surface of the skin. They contain keratin (skin protein) and are harmless. They are often seen on the face, in particular on the delicate skin around the eyes. They can be prevented or minimized with exfoliating like chemical peels, microdermabrasion or topical retinoids. However, they are sometimes difficult to remove without a physician’s help, since they cannot simply be squeezed out. Often, the surface of the skin has to be pierced first with a lancet, a sharp pointed blade, or a needle, in order to successfully remove the milium. Often a comedone extractor is used to express the milium. Thank you so much for watching!! Get Purified Biles Salts Here: https://shop.drberg.com/gallbladder-f... Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about keto rash. When you release more fat than usual. Fat is the substance that stores all sorts of toxins. And if your liver or gallbladder is not releasing toxins in a regular manner, your body could back up with toxic slug causing a reaction in the skin. Hi guys its Dr. Berg, in this short video I want to discuss this thing called keto rash. Here you go in this ketogenic diet and you end up with this terrible rash. If you look this up there is not much information about this and it’s hard to know what it is and so people try all sorts of things and they would start eating more carbs. This is my theory about what it is, if you look at a rash it is usually itchy called pruritus. Itchiness is coming from the liver. High levels of histamines are dumped up in to the liver because when you switch over to ketogenic and or you are running on ketones, you are releasing tons of fat that is coming out through the liver and if you don’t consume enough vegetables you are going to actually have a fatty liver but you are dumping more fat and that fat holds a lot of stuff like chemicals and toxins. If you don’t have enough bile in your gallbladder and you do a ketogenic diet, you might not be able to release the toxins that are coming out with the fat in the proper matter and you are going to create a little bit of the immune reaction with the histamines. One of the purposes of bile is to break down fats but the other purpose is to eliminate toxins. The solution is to add purified bile salts, you can use my formula which is the gallbladder formula or you can just find purified bile salts but it will increase the flow of the bile to the liver and gallbladder so you will eliminate the toxins a lot better and reduce the rash reaction that is occurring. The lorikeet had been placed in an aviary with other rescued wild rainbow lorikeets. 3 birds died within a few days but were not presented promptly for necropsy while their carcasses were still fresh. This lorikeet's pectoral muscles were moderately wasted indicating it had been sick and /or had been starving for perhaps 3 to 5 days. It might well have benefited and still be alive it he had closer monitoring by someone with better awareness of signs of disease and given a prompt veterinary health check while he was still alive!. Bleeding from the stomach was a key post-mortem finding. Lots of Pasteurella-like bacteria (often associated with mice in aviaries) were seen in some stained smears but were not necessarily the cause of death as the carcass was not fresh when necropsied.

Some chicks fall out of these and often get injured. Others are injured or killed when the trees are being chopped down. Historically Ibises are sacred birds as depicted in Egyptian and many other cultures.

Painful arm pits, thighs indicate that there is swelling of the lymph nodes and they are infected bad painful. Second thing is foul smelling vaginal discharge indicates infection. So these are all parts of infection that is happening, can be STD. Do not indicate always an STD, can also be a vaginal infection which can also be a part of STD, or may not be an STD also. It can be a part of pelvic tuberculosis, or it can be a part of STDs like chlamydia, gonorrhea. So these are associated with all these symptoms. So vaginal swab has to be taken, investigated, seen by a gynecologist, find out what is growing and treatment of the same appropriately because any small infection of the pelvic region has to be treated otherwise in future it will lead to chronic pelvic pain or ectopic pregnancies, or any type of pelvic pain or tubal blockage, infertility. So it has to be appropriately treated after investigation.

Sorry for my sniffles. This is our lil bubba, Rose, hanging on til the end. she's one of the few rats we've owned who has held on for so long that we can really see the effects that old old age has on our rat friends. our previous rats have either died in surgery (grr), an accident, or just suddenly passed for no foreseeable reason. only Scribbles and her, Rose, have gotten THIS old to pass away of extreme old age. these are the signs, symptoms, behavior, and meds for your older rats. we liked to think that they were holding on out of love. we could 'feel' their need to be with us. edit: rose passed a couple days after this was posted. a month after that, her daughter, charlotte, who showed no signs of illness, passed away as well. we could tell she was depressed and missing her mom. we showered her even more (if that's possible, lol) with love and attention... she gladly received it and gave us lovins back... but one day she decided to just let go and find her mom again.

"Buddy Pedigo" was euthanized on 14-December-2016, due to an Almost Certain OsteoSarcoma Cancer in his Left-Leg & Wrist....."Buddy" had been in a 2-Month Decline, gradually losing weight, coughing and gagging on an ever increasing basis....He eventually stopped eating on 13-December....the suspected Cancer had degraded the strength of the Wrist Bone to the point that the Ulna Bone at the Wrist Joint was Soft & Spongy, and Extremely Painful for "Buddy" to walk on......I saw "Buddy" running down the highway in front of my property on Thursday-24-March-2016, the morning after a series of late night thunderstorms & rain.....Within 3-hours I had Buddy's photograph and a "Found Ad" on Craigslist in San Marcos, Austin, and in San Antonio.....I kept that ad posted for at least 2-months, but no one ever responded, and I never found any "Lost" Ads on Craigslist for a dog of Buddy's description, looking in Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Waco, San Marcos, etc.......Anyway, for the next 9-months Buddy and I became close friends.....Then on 13-August-2016, I noticed a Deep Black & Purple Lump on a toe of Buddy's Left-Foot.....The toe was amputated the very next day, and the Doctor warned me that the Lump was almost certainily Cancer.....and that the Cancer could have spread to other areas of Buddy's body.....Sure enough, in late October-2016, just 2-months later, Buddy's Left-Leg and his Left-Shoulder became severely swollen.....For the next 6-weeks Buddy was treated as if the Swelling was from a Bacterial Infection, and I had Buddy on Doxycycline & Clindamycin & Clavamox.....Buddy's Left-Wrist never responded to any treatment, and gradually the wrist became so painful, that Buddy simply would not use it unless forced to......He was a "Damn Good Dog", and whoever owned Buddy before I found him did a great job taking care of him, and making him feel "loved"....because he was never a discipline problem in any way, shape, or form.....always calm, obedient, and kind to my other dogs.....He will be missed.

He also explains how camelid antibody fragments are changing medicine. Talk Overview: How does our immune system protect us against all of the infectious agents and foreign substances we encounter? Much of the answer lies in antibody diversity. In his first talk, Dr. Hidde Ploegh explains how B cells shuffle their genetic material such that regions of the immunoglobulin protein are rearranged. This generates the antibody diversity needed to recognize an almost infinite number of antigens. Interactions of B cells with T helper cells results in the formation of structurally distinct classes of immunoglobulins, further increasing antibody diversity. T killer cells are primed to attack infectious agents when immunoglobulins on their surface recognize antigens presented by the major histocompatibility complex (MHC). Ploegh explains that by subverting the MHC pathway, viruses and cancer cells can evade the immune system. In part two, Ploegh describes how his lab takes advantage of the unique properties of antibodies from the Camelidae family (alpacas, llamas, camels, etc). In addition to traditional antibodies, these animals naturally make small, heavy-chain only antibodies (nanobodies). These molecules can be isolated, amplified in bacteria, and engineered for new applications. As well as using nanobodies to target viruses and inflammasomes, Ploegh explains how his lab uses labelled nanobodies for non-invasive, live imaging of cancer tumors in mice. These technologies have exciting implications in basic and biomedical studies. Speaker Biography: Dr. Hidde Ploegh is an immunologist at Boston Children’s Hospital. His love for immunology began when he was an undergraduate at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. As a student, he wrote a letter to renowned immunologist Jon van Rood but never heard back. However, as an undergraduate researcher, he had an opportunity to work with Dr. Jack Strominger at Harvard University for 6 months. The experience was so great that after earning a BS and Masters in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Groningen, he returned to Strominger’s lab for his graduate studies. Ironically, his thesis committee chair ended up being Jon van Rood. Ploegh ultimately received his PhD from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Following graduate school, Ploegh was highly sought after by several institutions. Fresh from his PhD, Ploegh was first offered a position as a junior group leader in immunology at the University of Cologne, Germany in 1980. Since then, he has worked at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard Medical School and most recently, the Whitehead Institute. His accolades, in addition to prestigious awards, include induction into the European Molecular Biology Organization (1986), the American Academy of Arts and Science (2002) and the National Academy of Sciences (2012). He has contributed to over 500 papers. This video shows my 5-year old cat with degenerative neurologic disease twitching when he lays down (at .3, .8, .18, .21, and .27 seconds in this video - though it's kind of hard to see in this video). My 5-year old cat Churro is suffering from an undiagnosed degenerative neurologic disease. He started developing balance problems when he was only 2 ½ years old by miscalculating distances when he tried to jump. At 3 ½ years, he was losing his ability to jump at all; his gait started to change into a high-stepped, deliberate gait; and he was having a harder time coordinating his steps to run. He also started having periodic seizures where his body would freeze up for several seconds (I call these episodes "seizures" for lack of another word, but the vets tell me they're not seizures because his body isn't convulsing, he isn't foaming at the mouth, etc.) These symptoms kept progressing, and now at 5 years old, he: • Can't run or jump at all; • Falls over when he walks (see videos at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIx7YJRxqCk; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KTy5GTH_OI&feature=youtu.be); • Has difficulty walking and controlling his legs (it's like he's losing the ability to control where his legs go and his back legs are atrophying); • Is losing the ability to perceive distance because his nose bumps into things when he sniffs them; • Has a hard time focusing and his head will bob a little bit sometimes when he's trying to focus (you can see a little bit of his head bob in this video at 18 seconds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=metywqDtjkA&feature=youtu.be); And look how his body wobbles when he walks between the couch and the wall in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxK9S7pHUDg&feature=youtu.be; • Has seizure episodes where his whole body tenses up, his legs stick straight out, his head pulls back, and his eye go wide and blank for about 5-10 seconds. His whole body turns rock solid and every muscle tenses up. Here is a seizure caught on video (but it's slightly blurry: http://youtu.be/wpV-FchJxeA). There is also a slight example of his body freezing up in this video at 16 seconds(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svnlg2SJo6Q); • Drops his head straight down to the ground after he looks up or backwards, and when he's coming out of his seizures (you can see an example of his head dropping down to the ground after looking backwards at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNEMBY3feMY); and • Muscles twitch a lot when he's lying down (see THIS VIDEO at 3, 8, 18, 21, and 27 seconds). Despite all of this, Churro is still the same ornery and fun-loving cat he has always been, which is why it's so incredibly sad and painful to watch him deteriorate from this undiagnosed neurologic disease. TREATMENT: Churro has been to three different neurologists (one at a vet school), and several internists to try to figure out what's going on. He's had a slew of tests and has been on every antibiotic imaginable in case it was a brain infection, but the tests were inconclusive and no drugs helped him. The final diagnosis was simply that he has degenerative brain disease (degenerative cerebellar abiotrophy?). I'd be really interested to see if anyone has any thoughts or ideas. TESTS/PROCEDURES: 1. Ear infection (April '12): treated and cured w/ DMSO drops. 2. CT scan (May '12) showed large mass in left nasal sinus and septum deviated to right. 3. Rhinoscopy (May '12) to clear out mass. Biopsy showed chronic rhinitis. 4. Cryptococcus test: normal 5. Toxoplasmosis test: normal 6. Thyroid test: normal 7. UPenn genetic testing: normal 8. MRI and CSF Spinal tap (August 8th, 2012): Brain normal, fluid normal. ANTIBIOTICS/DRUGS: Zeniquen, Chloramphenicol, Cefpodoxime, Levofloxacin, Doxycycline, Clindamycin, SMZ/TMP (sulfa-methoxazole trimethoprim), prednisone.

http://www.nycdermatologist.com/ (212) 644-6454 cne is one of the most common of all skin problems. It affects most teenagers to some degree and even more adults. Acne shows up as whiteheads, blackheads, pimples and deep painful bumps that look like boils. Acne most commonly occurs on the face but can also appear on the neck, back, chest and shoulders. It is estimated that as many as 80% of people between 12 and 25 years of age suffer from acne. While in most people, acne clears up after few years, many suffer from permanent scarring of the skin. Even when there are few physical marks left, the emotional ones can be devastating. Acne problems are commonly faced by many young adults and teenagers today. Some people develop acne even at forties and fifties. http://x.vu/acnereviews http://topreviewblog.com/acnetreatmen... Acne is a common inflammatory skin disease that mainly affects the face, neck, chest and upper back. It is caused by an interaction between Hormones, bacteria and sebum produced by the sebaceous glands in the skin. Symptoms show as comedones (pimples), pustiles (lessions filled with pus) and occasionally Cysts. Acne is traditionally thought to developat Puberty but many women have acne throughtout life or it may develop in adulthood. It can develop premenstrually or may be associated with the talking or stoping of Oral Contraceptive Pills. This is possible caused by changing hormone levels. Treatment for acne depends on severity. Mild cases may be eased by washing the face with a gental toilet soap or by drying agents such as benzoyl peroxide. Severe acne may need oral treatment with antibiotics such as tetracycline or hormone therapy such as dianette, which also act as a contraceptive. http://topreviewblog.com/acnetreatmen... Acne is the term for plugged pores, pimples, and even deeper lumps that occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and even the upper arms. No one factor causes acne. As physicians understand it, acne happens when oil (sebaceous) glands come to life around puberty, when these glands are stimulated by male hormones that are produced in the adrenal glands of both boys and girls. Welcome to Acne Treatment Care.com We have compiled and consolidated latest information on Acne, acne causes, acne treatment, acne symptoms with lots of home remedies for acne cure. Some Important Facts about acne http://topreviewblog.com/acnetreatmen... * Anything that stimulates the growth of skin cells, such as scrubbing, can block ducts. You should simply wash the affected area with mild, un medicated soap once or twice a day, and dry gently. * Hot, humid weather causes skin cells to swell and thus increases the chance of blocked ducts. This is why face-steaming treatments are useless or even harmful. * Acne is definitely stress-related, so you are more likely to have a flare-up when you are under physical or emotional strain. * Some women notice an outbreak before periods, probably due to female hormones being converted in the body to male hormones. http://topreviewblog.com/acnetreatmen... * You must avoid picking or squeezing, which may force more sebum into deep skin layers and increase inflammation. Fingers may also intro-duce infection. * Fresh air and a little exposure to the sun may help some acne, but too much sun causes skin inflammation, which worsens it. Sun should be totally avoided during some treatments: your doctor, pharmacist or instructions with the medication will warn you about this. * Disguising an unsightly spot with a water-based cover cream will not aggravate the condition and is good for your morale. * Oily applications to affected skin usually worsen things. Very severe acne can be treated using a derivation of VITAMIN A, called tretimoin or Retin-A. This cream is applied each night and takes about 3 weeks to be effective. An oral version called Roaccutane is very good against severe acne but carries serious risks of foetal abnormality during PREGNANCY. This drug is carefully monitored for any side-effects in the patient but can be of considereable benefit, and the effects of treatment can last for a long time. Acne Treatment Care All acne can be improved, and sometimes it can be completely cleared up. Mild to moderate acne is usually remedied by over the counter pharmaceutical products that help to prevent blockage of sebaceous ducts. The manufacturer's instructions should be followed carefully. For more marked and persistent acne see your doctor, who may prescribe medication. Severe acne may need to be assessed by a dermatologist. You will not see the benefit of any treatment for about 6 weeks, so persevere and be patient. http://topreviewblog.com/acnetreatmen... http://x.vu/acnereviews http://x.vu/acnereviews http://www.AcnePractice.com Unbelievable acne transformation in a few weeks without pills.
