It is very common to find dogs sitting next to the dinner table, waiting for their masters to give them a bit of food off their plates. Dog lovers are always giving their furry friends table scraps or small treats. If you are part of the group of dog lovers who can’t say no to the puppy dog eyes at mealtimes, it’s important to know that you may be harming your pet by feeding it certain leftovers. Here are the top 10 foods you should never give your dog. 1. Chocolate Chocolate, especially dark chocolate is one of the most well-known foods that are bad for dogs. Dark chocolate is worse than milk chocolate and white chocolate. 2. Onions Onions have bad parts that can hurt the red blood cells and cause hemolytic anemia and Heinz bodies to form in the erythrocytes of animals like dogs and cats. 3. Macadamia Nuts Macadamia nuts can also be really bad for dogs. Sometimes, after a dog eats macadamia nuts, it can cause the body temperature to rise, a faster heartbeat, weakness, and vomiting. In the worst cases, it can even cause paralysis in dogs. 4. Grapes and Raisins Grapes and raisins are bad for dogs because of the fungicides, herbicides, or pesticides that dirty them. Other ways they may be harmful is because they have a lot of metal, vitamin D, and fungus or mold in them. 5. Avocados Avocado is another thing that should never be given to your dog. The compound persin, which can be found in avocados, upsets the stomach, and is very bad for dogs. Persin is found in the avocado fruit, and its plant and leaves. Also, the slippery pit can easily get stuck in your dog’s intestinal tract, and cause pain because of the blockage. Your dog will need surgery to fix this this problem. 6. Apple Cores The core and seeds of an apple have toxic cyanide, which can be bad for your pet. Cyanide stops blood from carrying oxygen through the body, and many bodily functions will stop if they don’t get the right amount of oxygen. The poisonous apple core will cause a few things, like apprehension, dilated pupils, drooling, breathing problems, dizziness, collapse, seizures, hyperventilation, shock, and coma. You can give your dog an apple as a treat, but only after taking out the seeds and core. Also, don’t give a rotten apple to your dog. 7. Alcohol Do not give any kind of alcohol to your pets, and make sure your pet doesn’t lick up any spilled beer or whiskey. Alcohol can harm your dog’s liver and brain, like it does to yours. But it’s worse for dogs, because their organs are smaller than human organs. Also, having alcohol can cause the blood sugar level of your pet to drop. This can be really harmful, and your pet will need to get glucose very quickly to stop brain damage. Very low blood sugar can cause seizures in animals. 8. Bacon You should never give raw or cooked bacon to your dog, even if he gives you puppy dog eyes. Cooked bacon is a very fatty food that can cause canine pancreatitis, which can cause death. Fat trimmings, if they’re cooked or uncooked, can also cause this problem. Because bacon has a lot of calories, it can cause obesity, hypothyroidism, and cardiovascular disease. Also, the high amount of salt found in bacon can lead to bloating. Bloating can cause a lot of gas in the stomach, which can be very harmful to your pet. 9. Wild Mushrooms Eating wild mushrooms is dangerous for dogs, although common white mushrooms seem safe for dogs to eat. If eaten, wild mushrooms can cause abdominal pain, drooling, liver damage, kidney damage, vomiting, restlessness, diarrhea, convulsions, excessive urination, salivation, coma, or death. If not treated right away, the toxins will gather in the body, and can lead to kidney or liver failure. 10. Any Food with Artificial Sweeteners Anything that has artificial sweeteners should not be given to your dog. These things can have xylitol, an artificial sweetener that can lead to too much insulin being sent into the blood, kidney failure, and worse. How to Make Yourself Throw Up Easily and Quickly Note: Inducing vomiting is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women as well as children under 12 years of age. Also, it is not recommended as a mechanism for weight loss. vomiting as first aid for toxic substance. Throwing up is a natural mechanism that should be practiced as a last resort and only after consulting your doctor. Here are some of the effective methods to make you throw up. #1. Use Your Fingers You can use your fingers to activate the body’s natural gag reflex, which will make you throw up easily. Choose where you’re going to vomit and sit firmly in a comfortable position with your head pointing downward to prevent choking. Insert your clean and well-washed index and middle fingers into your mouth. Press your fingertips downward to induce vomiting. Soon you will start getting stomach cramps. Remove your fingers and allow the stomach contents to come out. After vomiting, rinse your mouth with water and also wash your hands. Note: Do not use any hard objects like sticks or spoons to induce vomiting. #2. The Toothbrush Trick The toothbrush trick also uses the gag reflex to induce vomiting. Moisten a soft-bristled toothbrush. Gently rub the bristles on the back of the tongue to stimulate the gag reflex. Do this several times until you feel the need to vomit. After vomiting, make sure to rinse your mouth thoroughly. #3. Mustard Water Mustard water is another option that can make you throw up quickly. Add 1 tablespoon of mustard sauce or paste to a glass of warm water. Stir thoroughly, then drink the solution in a single gulp. Wait 20 to 30 minutes for the solution to work and induce vomiting. #4. Apple Cider Vinegar If you suspect of eating some rotten food that can cause food poisoning, apple cider vinegar is a good remedy to try at home. Consume 1 to 2 tablespoons of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. The strong odor and taste of it will lead to instant queasiness and vomiting. #5. Warm Salt-Water Solution Salt and water, two ingredients that you can find readily at home, can help induce vomiting if you suspect you ate something toxic or poisonous. Add 3 teaspoons of table salt or rock salt to a glass of lukewarm water. Stir thoroughly and sip the solution slowly. You do not need to drink the solution completely. Just drink till you feel queasy. The extreme salty taste will force you to throw up immediately. Note: When following this remedy, it is important to keep in mind your salt intake. It is not recommended for those who are on a sodium restricted diet. #6. Sensory Stimulation The sensory stimulation of the human body reacts to different situations in different ways. Even exposing yourself to unpleasant smells, such as rotten fruits or vegetables, can also make you throw up very quickly. It is not necessary that sensory stimulation always work, but there is nothing wrong in giving it a try at least. #7. Spin Around The act of spinning can also make you very dizzy and make you vomit the contents of your stomach fairly quickly. Sit calmly in a chair that spins. Slowly start the spinning motion and gradually increase the speed. Spin around until you feel dizzy, which induces vomiting. Some Additional Tips Drinking 1 tablespoon of castor oil mixed in a glass of orange juice or lukewarm water may also help induce vomiting. Always keep your head facing downward while vomiting. Any hair or clothing should be kept away from the mouth. Try to vomit into a bucket or a toilet to remove the waste promptly. After 1 to 2 hours of throwing up, try to eat soup or warm broth to get proper nutrients and help your body recover. Do not brush your teeth for about 30 minutes after you throw up. Make sure to wash your hands and face thoroughly. Drink herbal teas to improve your digestion and protect your digestive tract. Never self-induce vomiting for the purpose of weight loss or “purging”. This can be really dangerous for your health. Is my dog sick? For immediate local help you can click on the emergency vets link available on every page. Wondering if your dog is sick?. There are many sick dog symptoms and poor dog health problems that can appear, signaling that something is wrong. These signs can range from small changes in dog behavior and subtle signs of dog sickness such as dog allergies, dog itching, dog ear infection or dog constipation, to much more obvious signs like dog vomiting, dog diarrhea, kennel cough and dog diabetes leading to even more serious dog diseases. Also, if you have a dog not eating normally it may be a sign of a dog illness. Therefore, recognizing the warning signs is a very important call for action on your side. Do not forget that the sick puppy or Ill dogs are looking at you as their leader and expects your help. It is always a wise choice to go to see your veterinarian if your dog displays unusual behavior and any of the mentioned symptoms are appearing. Do not wait until your dog has seizures or experiences serious difficulty of breathing or collapses. When in doubt, a call to your vet may put your concerns to rest or prompt a visit. Some dog health symptoms may be recognizable and you may be able to remedy or reduce the symptoms, but do not experiment on your dog and make sure a qualified professional assesses your dog’s condition for any dog illnesses as there are many. If your dog paces around and seems very restless, then it is a clear indication of discomfort or even pain. If he or she tries to vomit, but fails to produce any matter, it’s called unproductive retching. If that is the case, your dog may have a condition commonly called ‘bloating’ and you should get your vet on the phone. Almost everyone knows that when a dog has a dry and warm nose it is a sign of dog Ilness. If a dog does not want to eat, you should not consider that an affront to your culinary prowess. Weight loss is a definite sign that your dog is in trouble, even if none of the other symptoms are evident. If your dog is drinking an excessive amount of water and urinating much more than usual, it is a sure sign of a serious illness, the least being an infection of the urinary tract, the worst being kidney failure. On the other hand, a dog having trouble urinating or even displaying visible discomfort when trying to urinate is in need of help as well, and if your dog is licking itself in that region and looking at it is becoming a constant action, then all warning signs signal that he or she is in danger. Make sure you keep a keen eye on your dog; early detection of dog health problems reduces the risk of permanent damage considerably.

GET YOUR GUIDE here → http://istheonlinedogtrainer.club If you are worried because your dog does not want to eat, in this video we will talk about the possible reasons why this happens and how they could be solved. 1. Possible causes why your dog does not want to eat The fact that your dog does not want to eat can be linked to serious diseases such as cancer, pain, dental problems, kidney failure, some infection or liver problems. Sometimes vaccines have certain contraindications, one of these is lack of appetite, if your dog has been recently vaccinated this can be a side effect. Your dog may have ingested some object or food that is obstructing your stomach or intestines, so it is important that the veterinarian perform a full check. Another reason why your dog has lost his appetite could be a neuronal damage that is affecting the area responsible for producing the need to eat. If your dog is under some treatment that involves the consumption of medicines, you can consult with your veterinarian what kind of effects you can get on your dog, some of them make the appetite disappear. Advanced age is another important factor, some dogs lose the potential of their senses like smell or taste. It is likely that the dog does not want to eat if it is in an unknown environment due to a trip or a move, some dogs feel uncomfortable or stressed in these situations and changes in environment. The heat can also reduce your pet's appetite. Depression as happens in humans, causes a total lack of control of our lives, with food being one of the affected aspects and because of this the dog can stop eating. 2. Main situations in which you should worry if your dog does not want to eat. His dog was subjected to some surgical intervention. He has lost more than 10% of his usual weight. In addition to lack of appetite, you have nausea and diarrhea. He has fever. If your dog is being treated with antibiotics due to some serious illness. Tumors and kidney problems. 3. Recommendations to improve your dog's appetite. Change your diet, offer a more appetizing food. Clean your nose, so you can perceive the aroma of food in a much simpler way and encourage you to eat them. With the recommendation of your veterinarian, you can provide some type of supplement to increase your appetite. Feed the food to your snout directly with your hand. Alternate the type of food, canned and dry. In some cases being next to your pet will make you feel more at ease and therefore eat your food more easily. Consider the idea of providing a diet based on homemade foods, ask for guidance from the veterinarian, remember that dogs can not eat any kind of things. Natural yogurt, that is, without additives or artificial colors, can help the dog feel like eating. Cut out the amount of rewards offered to your dog. Take your dog for a walk before lunchtime. Establish a fixed schedule to feed it daily. Change the feed containers, maybe the ones you have now are not right for your size or do not give you the comfort you need. → http://todosobreperros.online/go/onlinedog ← CLICK HERE Arthritis in the dog, what is this disease? Arthritis is a painful inflammation of the joints of the can, which is degenerative and can reduce its mobility. "Arthritis is one of the most common causes of chronic pain in dogs, especially in elderly dogs." This degenerative disease reduces the cartilage that protects the joints. The painful consequence? The bones of the dog rub, losing the protector that separated them, which can cause an abnormal growth of the bone, with immense pain for can. Following are eight signs to recognize arthritis in the dog, and go to the vet as soon as possible. 1. Arthritis in the dog: limp. A can with arthritis may limp or, using pain, use more legs than others, as it will try to carry the least possible weight on legs painful by arthritis. The limp is more evident when the dog begins the walk, and has not yet warmed, and may become less visible once it has warmed the body. This is a clear reason to go to the vet. 2. The dog has trouble moving. The limp of the can also becomes evident when it has difficulties to make movements or to go up to places that previously arrived with normality. An example? A dog with arthritis will have trouble getting into the car or jumping in order to snuggle with his human on the couch as he once did. 3. The dog does not find the posture. A dog with joint pain will have complications to find a comfortable posture. You will try to change your position a thousand times until you find a less painful one, although it will not always succeed. The reason for so much change is the pain. 4. Canine arthritis affects the spine. Arthritis can also affect several parts of the spine. In this case, the dog may have a sore neck and adopt strange positions, such as lying down with a too hunched back. 5. Arthritis in the dog: irritability. The pain makes the dog do not want to eat, and this explains why one of the signs of arthritis in dogs is loss of appetite. Other changes in behavior may also alert you to pain: unusual nervousness, irritability (a consequence of pain), or failure to heed learned behavioral patterns. 6. Dogs tired from arthritis. The pain is exhausting, and a sick canine will be more tired than normal. For a dog, tiredness means avoiding long walks, but also spending more time sleeping. 7. Muscle atrophy in dogs. The inactivity of the muscles due to pain clarifies why dogs with arthritis suffer atrophy of certain parts of the body, such as the less used legs. When this happens, this is already a symptom that the state of arthritis is advanced, and you have to go to the veterinarian urgently. 8. Compulsive licking in the body. The pain makes the dogs affected by arthritis insist insistently the painful areas of the body. This compulsive licking in dogs can cause baldness and even wounds. And what to do when the dog suffers arthritis? You must go to the vet as soon as possible, so that you can give him the treatment you need and also to offer guidelines in order to help you get rid of your overweight with health. Title: Top 5 Most Serious Pet Diseases Description: As a dog parent, it is important to recognize the signs and symptoms of common illnesses so you can seek veterinary help for your canine friend as soon as possible. Here are the top 5 most serious pet disease. 1)Heartworm: Heartworm disease or dirofilariasis is a serious and potentially fatal disease. It is caused by a blood-borne parasite known as Dirofilaria immitis. Adult heartworms are found in the heart and adjacent large blood vessels of infected dogs. One dog may have as many as 300 worms present when diagnosed. It causes breathing difficulties in dogs. It also results in coughing and tiredness in dogs. As a result of heartworm, there will be weight loss in dogs. 2)Parvo: The canine parvovirus (CPV) infection is a highly contagious viral illness that affects dogs. The virus manifests itself in two different forms. The more common form is the intestinal form, which is characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, and lack of appetite (anorexia). The less common form is the cardiac form, which attacks the heart muscles of very young puppies, often leading to death. 3)Dog Distemper: The virus, which is spread through the air and by direct or indirect (i.e. utensils, bedding) contact with an infected animal, initially attacks a dog’s tonsils and lymph nodes and replicates itself there for about one week. It then attacks the respiratory, urogenital, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems. 4)Rabies: Initially, a dog who’s become infected may show extreme behavioral changes such as restlessness or apprehension, both of which may be compounded by aggression. Friendly dogs may become irritable, while normally excitable animals may become more docile. A dog may bite or snap at any form of stimulus, attacking other animals, humans and even inanimate objects. 5)Flea And Tick Borne Diseases: Tick borne disease is a growing threat to both canine and human health. Ticks are parasites that attach themselves to animals and people, feed on blood, and transmit diseases directly into the host’s system. Disease occurs when an infected tick bites a dog or a human and transmits the disease into the victim’s body. People usually lie down or sit comfortably in a chair after having dinner, but this is a big mistake you should never make. According to experts, these habits are highly dangerous and can put your health at risk. In this video I’m about to share with you 6 things you should never do after eating 1.Smoking Smoking is bad enough, but after a meal, it’s ten times the killer. Yep, that’s right! smoking right after a meal is very bad and if you must do it, you should wait for at least a couple of hours after the meal. Cigarette contain nicotine, a substance that binds to oxygen your body desperately needs for digestion, which makes your body absorb carcinogens. According to several studies, smoking a cigarette after a meal has the same effect as smoking 10 cigarettes at once, and increases your risk of bowel and lung cancer significantly as well. 2.Never go to bed after a meal Lying down for a nap or sleeping after a meal is the favorite thing of millions of people, but this habit is not healthy at all. When we lie down some digestive juices from your stomach flow back to the esophagus because of gravitational force, due to its acidic nature it can burn the inner layer of the esophagus causing acid reflux. 3.Never rush to shower after a meal Waiting 30 minutes after a meal in order to take a shower is the best suggestion one could give on this topic. Digestion needs a lot of energy and blood flow in our body. But when we take a warm water shower, blood flows towards your skin to release off the heat, thus making it difficult to digest. 4.Drinking tea Teas are healthy, but shouldn’t be consumed after a meal. Drinking tea after having a meal can interfere with the iron absorption in your body as tea contains tannic acid which binds to the iron and protein from our food. This can result in 87% decrease in iron absorption and even iron deficiency, which can lead to anemia, dizziness, weakness and fatigue 5.Eat your fruits before not after a meal Fruits are recommended by almost everyone, be it some expert dietician, or just some inexperienced house-wife. But few of them know that fruits just after any meal can be harmful, and thus neglect to mention it to you. Fruits are the easiest to digest, and just take 20 minutes to travel from your stomach to intestines, where they are finally digested (bananas and dates being the two exceptions). So when you eat a fruit after a meal, it gets stuck with the food, thus not travelling in time to the intestines, and getting spoiled as a result, thus spoiling food too. 6.Avoid cold water after a meal The reason is very simple . Ice water does not let the food digest properly because it causes clumping of food. Hot warm water helps absorbs nutrients better. Pet Care - Serious Issue Dog Loose Motion Find more at http://www.bholashola.com Also, Like our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/bholashola Pet Care is a pet awareness initiative by Harwinder Grewal. Who is an owner of Grewal Pet Shop and Farm, Main Road, Adampur. In this video, he tells about Serious Issue Dog Loose Motion in the Hindi Language. 1. Every dog suffers from diarrhea at some point in his life. This can be a distressing – and messy – problem for both of you, but it doesn’t have to be! Here are the easiest, most natural ways to stop dog diarrhea at home. 2. Most animals will fast themselves when they have digestive disease and it’s a good idea to stop feeding your dog if he doesn’t fast himself. You can start with 6 to 12 hours of no food or water with most dogs. If your dog is very small and prone to hypoglycemia, you should give him tiny licks of honey or karo syrup each hour, or as needed, if he appears weak and trembly. 3. After the fast, if there is no further vomiting and the diarrhea has stopped or slowed, offer small sips of water (a few teaspoons in very small dogs and up to ½ to 1 cup in large dogs) every few hours. Be certain to use filtered or spring water. After six hours of water only, you may start some broth or small amounts of food. Gradually increase the amounts of food over the next four to five days. 4. Once your dog is reintroduced to food, a bland diet will help prevent a recurrence of diarrhea. Starting with soup is a gentle way to smooth your dog’s transition back to his regular diet. 5. Other bland diets include: a mix of half white rice and half low fat meat (you can add a 1 to 2 tablespoons plain yogurt and baked yam); a mix of cooked white rice and low fat cottage cheese. 6. These will help repopulate the intestine with healthy bacteria and there is a growing research base showing they boost the immune system in the digestive tract as well as the rest of the body. Probiotics help maintain the mucosal barrier and enhance cellular repair. 7. Probiotics can be given while a dog is on antibiotics; just be sure to give them at a different time than the antibiotic. They can also be used during stressful times, such as weaning, boarding, agility trials and when traveling. 8. If your dog’s digestive disease is severe or persistent, your veterinarian’s suggestions may include: fecal exams to rule out parasites; blood work to rule out liver, kidney, endocrine or other problems; x-rays or abdominal ultrasound to rule out foreign objects, obstructions, and cancer; and endoscopy to visualize the stomach and intestinal mucosa. Train Your Dog Here → http://istheonlinedogtrainer.club You will see both the ribs and bones, and the vertebrae. If we look at our dog from above we will see it easily. If in the abdominal area we touch and we do not notice abdominal fat, our friend is below his weight. 1. Very thin The vertebrae, ribs and bones are noticed, and they are also very marked and can be seen perfectly. If you notice a loss of muscles and have no abdominal fat. 2. Causes of why your dog does not get fat The main cause may be a poor diet or the food you eat does not have the necessary nutrients. It is very advisable to look at what type of feed our dog is eating, and look at the properties they have because most are of very poor quality. A small dose may also be the reason why we should be vigilant to check when our faithful friend lacks food. A dog with more activity as a rule tends to eat more than one that is calmer. Another cause, may be that the nutrient of what we are giving is not absorbed in the right way. A possible problem of pancreas can cause that the animal does not create the necessary enzymes to realize a good digestion, and therefore it does not take advantage of all the necessary nutrients. A bowel disease may be another reason. This type of disease can be inflammatory. Irritable bowel syndrome or an intestinal wall affected by some type of infection. Annoying parasites can also be some of the reasons why our dog does not get fat. They lodge in the intestines and absorb nutrients. Diabetes in dogs is a very common disease, and they tend to lose weight very drastically. The lack of insulin created by the pancreas means that nutrients do not become energy. Addison syndrome can make our dog vomit or have diarrhea, hence weight loss. It is difficult to diagnose because the veterinarians themselves may hesitate with other types of diseases, but with a good medical study they will find the solution. Diseases related to the thyroid make our dog can have a metabolism much higher than a dog in perfect condition, which causes its nutrients are insufficient and bring about that weight loss. When we observe that our dog does not act as usual, we must have a more exhaustive control of what he eats or drinks so we can find an immediate solution. If your dog tends to be up and down, in the field and has an important caloric expenditure, remember that you must increase your portion of food. 3. Solutions for my dog to grow fat. First of all, assist a veterinarian to do a study and find the source of the problem. Administer food two, three or four times a day and that is constantly hydrated. The second is to deworm it. In the veterinary clinic they sell some pills that if you mix them, but with a piece of small sausage our dog will take the medicine. In two or three days we will see an improvement. Do not subject our dog to many efforts until it is fully recovered. A little rest would not hurt. If after these solutions does not improve, even worse it should be taken immediately to a veterinarian. Any signal that we notice outside of normal we will tell the veterinarian in order to reach a solution as quickly as possible. Train Your Dog Here → http://istheonlinedogtrainer.club

Apple cider vinegar saved my pet, Sasha. This simple home remedy does wonders for cats and dogs. It cures stomach problems including runny stool, vomiting and urinary tract infections common among house pets. It also curbs those pesky hair balls and unnecessary vomiting. It does wonders with their immune system and their respiratory system, and aids their digestive track. It's also good for urinary tract infections or prevents crystals from forming in the urine, and it gets rid of those brown tear stains. In fact, it helped my cat who was near death get back on track. I really love this stuff. Less is more so please don't give your cat more than a recommended dose of 1/4 tsp diluted in 8 ozs. of water. They trust you, so don't hurt them. My cat, Sasha, had been sick for 3 weeks straight before I stumbled on this information. It really, really works. I thank God for it because I'm not sure if my cat would have survived. He lost a lot of weight while he was sick. He weighs 20 pounds and it was noticeable. Now, he's gained 80 percent of his weight back and he's not sick anymore. He got sick because I changed to high quality cat food, but he was too old to adjust to the change, so I had to switch him back. He is happy as a little clam now. He's birthday is in December. He will be 15 years old -- that's a major milestone for any cat. Sasha has since gone on to heaven, but he was 17 years old when he passed, and he had a fabulous quality of life before he passed. So, I could be the poster child for this stuff. In the past four years, consumers have made more than 3,000 online complaints about dogs becoming ill or dying after eating Beneful, the lawsuit says.Bill Salzman, director of corporate communications for Nestle Purina PetCare, issued a statement denying the allegations in the lawsuit."We believe the lawsuit is baseless, and we intend to vigorously defend ourselves and our brand. Beneful had two previous class action suits filed in recent years with similar baseless allegations, and both were dismissed by the courts."Like other pet foods, Beneful is occasionally the subject of social media-driven misinformation. Online postings often contain false, unsupported and misleading allegations that cause undue concern and confusion for our Beneful customers."Bottom line: Consumers can continue to feed Beneful with total confidence."The class action lawsuit, filed February 5 in U.S. District Court in Northern California, seeks million in damages. The plaintiff, Frank Lucido of Discovery Bay, California, says he first purchased Beneful food in December or January, the suit says.Lucido's German Shepherd, Nella, became ill on January 17 and his English bulldog, Dozer, was found dead January 23 in the yard, the lawsuit says. Lucido's third dog, a Labrador named Remo, became sick around the same time, the suit says. The lawsuit says Purina Nestle knew Beneful dog food was harmful and sold it without adequate testing and without properly investigating reports of pet deaths and illnesses.Beneful contains propylene glycol, an auto antifreeze component, and mycotoxins, toxins produced by fugus found in grains, the lawsuit says. The eight kinds of dry Beneful food are Purina Benful Healthy Weight, Original, Incredibites, Healthy Growth for Puppies, Healthy Smile, Healthy Fiesta, Healthy Radiance and Playful Life.Follow us on Twitter @Local12 and LIKE us on Facebook for updates!

#VETForPET #Signs&Symptoms #KidneyDiseaseInDogs What is kidney disease? Kidneys are very important because they remove waste substances from the blood, and maintain the normal balance of fluid and minerals within the body. Any condition which damages the kidneys is referred to as kidney or renal disease. In some cases, dogs may show early warning signs of kidney disease. However, signs of serious illness only appear after 75% of the kidneys’ function has already been lost. This is the reason why early detection is so important, especially for dogs age 7 or older. A simple blood test and urinalysis are all that is required to detect kidney disease. Does my dog have kidney disease? The signs of kidney disease can be difficult to recognize but if you notice any of the following, it could mean your dog has a kidney problem. Dog With Acid Reflux Not Eating http://acidreflux.product-truths.com - Acid reflux and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) are closely related, but the terms are not necessarily interchangeable. Acid reflux is definitely the backward flow of stomach acid in to the esophagus - the tube that connects the throat and stomach. Acid reflux is far more especially generally known as gastroesophageal reflux. During an episode of acid reflux, you could taste regurgitated meals or sour liquid in the back of one's mouth or really feel a burning sensation within your chest (heartburn). In some cases acid reflux progresses to GERD, a extra severe form of reflux. The most prevalent symptom of GERD is frequent heartburn. Other indicators and symptoms may include regurgitation of food or sour liquid, difficulty swallowing, coughing, wheezing and chest discomfort - particularly even though lying down at evening. Should you have occasional acid reflux, life style alterations will help. The virus manifests itself in two different forms. The more common form is the intestinal form, which is characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss and lack of appetite (anorexia). The less common form is the cardiac form, which attacks the heart muscles of fetuses and very young puppies, often leading to death. The majority of cases are seen in puppies that are between six weeks and six months old. The incidence of canine parvovirus infections has been reduced radically by early vaccination in young puppies. Signs & Symptoms of Parvo in Dogs The major symptoms associated with the intestinal form of a canine parvovirus infection include: Severe, bloody diarrhea Lethargy Anorexia Fever Vomiting Severe weight loss The intestinal form of CPV affects the body's ability to absorb nutrients, and an affected animal will quickly become dehydrated and weak from lack of protein and fluid absorption. The wet tissue of the mouth and eyes may become noticeably red, and the heart may beat too rapidly. When your veterinarian examines your dog’s abdominal area, your dog may respond due to pain or discomfort. Dogs who have contracted CPV may also have a low body temperature (hypothermia), rather than a fever.

How to Fast. What if you decided to quit eating for an entire week? Would it be dangerous for your body? Nowadays, many people prefer to stick to periodical water fasting, so they don't consume any food and drink apart from water. Water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and you should consult with a doctor beforehand. Among its benefits are lower blood pressure, improved insulin and leptin sensitivity, lower cholesterol levels, and weight loss. The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. As you plan your 7-day water fasting, try to pick a low-stress time in your life. Doing this during exam season or when you're moving house isn't the best time. TIMESTAMPS What will happen to your body if you stop eating 0:58 What will happen after the first 6 hours 1:59 What will happen after 3 days 2:47 What will happen after a week 3:29 What will happen after a month or up to 70 days 3:46 What is water fasting 4:52 What is intermittent fasting 6:00 How to perform a water fast 7:31 What to do after you’re done with fasting 9:22 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -For the first 6 hours of your “no food” period, everything's going to be just fine. -After 6 hours, your body begins to starve since there's not enough glucose in your blood. -After 3 “no food” days, your brain goes to another extreme and starts to break down your body's protein. This happens because proteins release amino acids, which can be converted into the glucose your body so desperately needs. -After one “no food” week, your immune system becomes extremely weak because it isn’t receiving any vitamins or minerals. -Starvation may lead to death after almost a month or up to 70 days. -There's one rule when it comes to water fasting: you don't consume any food and drink apart from water. According to specialists, water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and a consultation with a doctor beforehand is obligatory. -If you want to water fast because of the weight loss factor, you have another option: intermittent fasting. This means eating nothing (or just a few calories) for a certain period of time and then eating as usual for another period. -The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. Listen to your body carefully during your first water fasting. -When you're done with your fasting, you should break it slowly. Easily digested foods like soups, juices, pureed fruit, white rice, and mashed potatoes are the best products for your first 2 days. Cat Kidney Failure - Causes and Symptoms 1 Cat kidney failure is also called feline kidney failure or feline renal failure and it's a fairly common occurrence in older cats. Kidney failure is a frequent cause of death in older cats. But kidney failure can also strike relatively young cats, sometimes as early as four years old. 2 There are two risk factors that seem to be common in cats who develop kidney failure. Distemper vaccinations. Recent research seems to indicate a link between distemper vaccinations and cat kidney problems. 3 A dry food diet. For centuries cats have been getting moisture from the prey they kill and eat. When domesticated cats eat nothing but dry food, they sometimes don't supplement their diets with enough water. This lack of water stresses the cat's kidneys over the course of their life. 4 What are the symptoms of kidney failure in cats? When cat kidney failure begins to present symptoms, you'll notice that your cat will begin to drink more water than usual. This is the cat's instinctive way of dealing with a damaged or failing kidney. This means the cat will also begin to urinate more. This cycle of unusual drinking-and-urinating is usually the first symptom of a problem. 5 Unfortunately, by the time the cat shows this symptom, kidney function has probably dropped to around 25 percent. Your vet will most likely want to perform a blood test to confirm renal failure. 6 Sadly, cat kidney failure is incurable. By the time symptoms appear, it's too late to do anything. It's not even likely that any medical procedure can slow down the progress of the disease as scar tissue replaces healthy kidney cells. 7 Toxins will also accumulate in the cat's body, and as the disease progress, the cat will exhibit lethargy, lose weight, vomit or show other general signs of ill health. 8 Some cats survive longer than others as cat kidney failure progresses. It may not be possible to control some symptoms with medication the way you can with a human. So the only thing you can hope to do is make your cat as comfortable as possible during the ordeal. 9 There are, however, some supplements that seem to help slow the progress of kidney failure in cats, including omega-3 fatty acids and several anti-oxidants. Talk to your vet. 10 Your vet might also recommend fluid supplements. This is important because cats with kidney failure can't drink enough water to compensate for the loss of fluids they're experiencing.

How To Stop Diarrhea In Dogs Diarrhea is a common problem in dogs, often because they will put almost anything in their mouth. But it can also be caused by more serious health problems, some of which require close attention, especially if the diarrhea is severe or occurs frequently. Dog Diarrhea: What To Watch For Loose stools are, of course, the main indicator of diarrhea. Diarrhea may also be accompanied by vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss, abdominal pain, lethargy, and other symptoms of disease. Primary Causes of Diarrhea in Dogs Diarrhea that develops suddenly in an otherwise healthy dog is often due to scavenging behavior, stress, a sudden change in diet, or viral, bacterial or parasitic infections. More chronic diarrhea can be caused by dietary allergies or intolerances, stress, some types of parasites (e.g., Giardia, hookworms, roundworms and whipworms), bacterial infections, pancreatic disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, some types of cancer, and diseases outside of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g., liver failure or heart disease). These type of health issues will need to be discussed with your veterinarian and can require prescription pet medication. Immediate Care for Dog Diarrhea If your dog is very young, very old, has a preexisting health condition, call your veterinarian for advice on how to handle the diarrhea. These individuals can become severely debilitated even when suffering from relatively mild diarrhea. Also, call your veterinarian if your dog’s diarrhea is frequent and/or very watery; contains more than just a streak of blood; is dark and tarry; or if your dog is vomiting profusely, lethargic, depressed, and/or is in pain. These can be signs of potentially serious health conditions. But if your dog is an otherwise healthy adult and, it is reasonable to try some home treatment. For dogs who just have diarrhea: Make sure the dog has access to plenty of clean water to avoid dehydration. Encourage the dog to drink. If needed, offer dilute chicken, beef broth or Pedialyte in addition to the water. Give the dog a small meal of boiled white meat chicken (no bones or skin) and white rice. This can be the dog's diet until the stool consistency returns to normal. If the diarrhea continues for more than 24 hours or your dog’s condition worsens at any time, call your vet immediately. For dogs with diarrhea who have vomited only once or twice: Remove all food for 12 hours. To avoid dehydration, offer the dog small amounts of water frequently throughout the day. If needed, you can also offer some dilute chicken or beef broth or Pedialyte in addition to water. When the dog has not vomited for at least six hours, offer a small amount of boiled white meat chicken (no bones or skin) and white rice. Wait two hours. If the dog has not vomited then offer another small meal of cooked chicken and rice. Continue this treatment, gradually increasing the amount of food offered at each meal and lengthening the time between meals until the stool consistency returns to normal. If the diarrhea continues for more than 24 hours or your dog’s condition worsens at any time, call your vet immediately. Heartburn a symptom of Acid reflux. This video is about treatment, causes, diet & foods to avoid to naturally stop acid reflux. Heartburn is a burning feeling in the chest caused by stomach acid travelling up towards the throat (acid reflux). If it keeps happening, it’s called gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). Acid reflux is very common in fact 1 in 10 people get acid reflux almost every day! In this weeks video I’m going to give you some great tips that should really help. This video was sponsored by Dr Fox (Online Doctor & Pharmacy): https://www.doctorfox.co.uk MAIN SYMPTOMS OF ACID REFLUX: • Heartburn – a burning sensation in the middle of your chest an unpleasant sour taste in your mouth, caused by stomach acid You may also have: • Cough or hiccups that keep coming back • Hoarse voice • Bad breath • Wind, Bloating and feeling sick • Your symptoms will probably be worse after eating, when lying down and when bending over. TIPS THAT HELP WITH ACID REFLUX: • Eat smaller, more frequent meals • Raise one end of your bed 10 to 20cm by putting something under your bed or mattress – make it so your chest and head are above the level of your waist, so stomach acid doesn't travel up towards your throat • Try to lose weight if you're overweight • Try to find ways to relax • If you are a smoker stop smoking • Some foods and drinks may make reflux worse in some people, here is a link to a great acid reflux diet sheet which I mentioned in the video: https://patient.info/health/acid-reflux-and-oesophagitis/features/diet-sheet-for-oesophageal-reflux • Some medicines may make symptoms worse. They may irritate the oesophagus or relax the sphincter muscle and make acid reflux more likely. Tell your pharmacist if you suspect that a medicine is causing the symptoms, or making symptoms worse. • Posture. Lying down or bending forward a lot during the day encourages reflux. Sitting hunched or wearing tight belts may put extra pressure on the stomach, which may make any reflux worse. • Bedtime. If symptoms recur most nights, the following may help: Go to bed with an empty, dry stomach. To do this, don't eat in the last three hours before bedtime and don't drink in the last two hours before bedtime. If lifestyle changes and pharmacy medicines aren't helping then please see your GP. RED FLAGS: Any of the following red flags should prompt you to urgently see a GP: • Have heartburn most days for 3 weeks or more • Have other symptoms, like food getting stuck in your throat or difficulty swallowing • Are frequently being sick • Have unexplained weight loss • Have black or tarry stools • Have a gnawing, sharp or stabbing pain. • Feel like you have a lump in your stomach • Have bloody vomit or poo I have tried my best to add as many red flag symptoms but incase I have missed anything please make sure to visit the following pages as well, https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/heartburn-and-acid-reflux/ https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/indigestion/ https://patient.info/health/acid-reflux-and-oesophagitis https://patient.info/health/acid-reflux-and-oesophagitis/features/diet-sheet-for-oesophageal-reflux https://patient.info/doctor/gastro-oesophageal-reflux-disease https://www.chemistanddruggist.co.uk/feature/ask-expert-indigestion-and-heartburn Want to see more videos about everything health and pharmacy? (5 Dec 2018) Elm Pet Foods is the latest maker of dog food to issue a recall over elevated levels of vitamin D, which can cause kidney failure at high enough levels. Dr. Tracey Maione, DVM, medical director of Chicago's Oz Animal Hospital tells The Associated Press that dogs need vitamin D. "Unfortunately. what's happened is an excessive level of vitamin D has been found in these foods," she said. "In dogs, excessive levels of vitamin D are an issue because of how they're metabolized in their liver." Similar recalls have been issued by ANF Inc., Sunshine Mills Inc., Natural Life Pet Products, and Nutrisca over the last month. Elm and others urge consumers to either dispose of or return several types of chicken and chickpea recipe dog food. They also urge dog owners to contact their veterinarian if the food was eaten. Symptoms of vitamin D toxicity include vomiting, weight loss, increased urination and excessive thirst. What happens to your brain and body when you eat spicy food. Hot peppers trick your brain into thinking your mouth is on fire. But there's no real heat in a pepper. So, what's going on? It's all about a chemical compound in peppers called capsaicin. Capsaicin binds to pain receptors on our nerves called TRPV1. Normally, it reacts to heat by sending warning signals to the brain. Capsaicin causes TRPV1 to send those same signals. So, you react as if there's something hot in your mouth. Your body tries to cool itself off. So, you start to sweat and your face turns red. At the same time, your eyes tear up and nose runs. This is your body's way of removing the "threat". After swallowing, the capsaicin binds to more receptors on its way down. In severe cases, you may develop blisters in the throat, vomit, and even go into anaphylactic shock. So, why do so many people enjoy spicy food? In response to the pain, your brain releases endorphins and dopamine. Combined, these chemicals create euphoria similar to "runner's high". Ultimately, your response to spicy food depends on your tolerance. So, if you're the type who cries over a jalapeño, don't sweat too much. You can build up a tolerance over time with practice.
