Comment, like, share this story. Cameron was super excited to turn 18. After all, that was the age where there could be no doubt that he was an adult, no longer a kid. He could vote. He could serve in the armed forces, and he could do all sorts of things that, when he was younger, only the grown-ups could do, and a lot of it didn't real interest him. But, four months after his 18th Birthday, a week before he graduated from high school, he felt the urge to do something nice for himself, to buy himself a late birthday present and something that was like a congratulations for moving onto the next chapter of his life as an adult now! And what was that gift he bought himself, to symbolize his freedom and his new life as a grown-up? A pack of cigarettes. Of course, Cameron knew how bad smoking was for him, knew about the awful consequences - addiction, wasted money, sickness, cancer - but, he was a curious and rebellious teenager, testing his freedom, he decided he would try smoking just once, for the experience. He promised himself that he wouldn't make a habit of it, wouldn't become a smoker. So, he snuck out of his house one night while his family was sleeping, and walked to the nearest gas station that sold cigarettes. He was really nervous about buying them, afraid he would look and sound stupid, and, he did have to show his ID to the clerk - but, finally, he had done it. He had bought his first pack of cigarettes. He couldn't wait to try one - got outside, took on out, lit it up and pulled some smoke into his mouth. It tasted totally bitter and harsh and just plain nasty. Finally, he decided to try to inhale - he pulled the smoke deep into his lungs - and suddenly, his lungs felt like they were collapsing. He was coughing, couldn't stop, and felt like he couldn't breathe. He literally thought he was about to pass out and die. He threw the cigarette on the ground and stomped it out! But, for some reason, he kept the pack of cigarettes with him. And, a few weeks later, he tried smoking again and this time he didn't cough, his lungs didn't hurt as much, and there he was, a little bit excited about it - smoking. He started smoking and before he knew it, had become a smoker. And not a vape user, a vaper, , not vaping or jeweling either, straight up packs of cigs. Cameron thought it would just be a casual habit of his, that he might smoke a cigarette only every once in awhile, but he was wrong. He kept buying packs of cigarettes, smoking them all, quickly, and buying more for the next full year! He made numerous attempts to quit smoking, but he just couldn't - he was feeling unhealthy, addicted, and was starting to run low on money - all because of a few bad choices. The reality is that he simply could not stop smoking. He was desperate to quit smoking but it was so incredibly difficult. Cameron has found that nicotine is one of the hardest addictions to break, and, the best way to do it is to never get started in the first place. He learned anti smoking opinions from first hand experience with smoking; tobacco, cancer, addiction, nicotine, first hand smoke, second hand smoke, vaporizer, the high cost of cigarettes. Peer pressure can be a very healthy thing, take it directly from this story. Smoking is expensive in so many ways. He started smoking, and now he feels like he is in a prison that he created. Unfortunately, many people are looking for a quick fix with “exogenous” (outside) testosterone -- such as injections, creams and pills. Unfortunately, when you add testosterone into your body, it has many negative side-effects if it’s not managed properly. It can actually cause the OPPOSITE effects over time. According to experts, these habits are highly dangerous and can put your health at risk. In this video I’m about to share with you 6 things you should never do after eating 1.Smoking Smoking is bad enough, but after a meal, it’s ten times the killer. Yep, that’s right! smoking right after a meal is very bad and if you must do it, you should wait for at least a couple of hours after the meal. Cigarette contain nicotine, a substance that binds to oxygen your body desperately needs for digestion, which makes your body absorb carcinogens. According to several studies, smoking a cigarette after a meal has the same effect as smoking 10 cigarettes at once, and increases your risk of bowel and lung cancer significantly as well. 2.Never go to bed after a meal Lying down for a nap or sleeping after a meal is the favorite thing of millions of people, but this habit is not healthy at all. When we lie down some digestive juices from your stomach flow back to the esophagus because of gravitational force, due to its acidic nature it can burn the inner layer of the esophagus causing acid reflux. 3.Never rush to shower after a meal Waiting 30 minutes after a meal in order to take a shower is the best suggestion one could give on this topic. Digestion needs a lot of energy and blood flow in our body. But when we take a warm water shower, blood flows towards your skin to release off the heat, thus making it difficult to digest. 4.Drinking tea Teas are healthy, but shouldn’t be consumed after a meal. Now a study adds a new type of cancer to the list, and it's an unexpected one: Brown University researchers say that drinking, even in moderate amounts, is associated with higher rates of melanoma -- the deadliest form of skin cancer. Their research revealed more interesting facts, as well. In the study, white wine had a bigger impact on melanoma risk than red wine, beer, or liquor. You may know that ginger is a common ingredient in Asian and Indian cuisine, but did you know that it’s been used for centuries for its healing properties? Ginger has a long history of health benefits, including relief from nausea, digestive issues and pain. The most commonly used part of the plant for medicinal purposes is the root or underground stem, known as the rhizome. It can be consumed fresh, powdered, dried as a spice, or used in the form of an oil or as juice. If you don’t use ginger in your kitchen, here are 8 reasons why you might want to start! 1. Ginger Relieves Digestive Issues The phenolic compounds in ginger have been shown to help relieve irritation in the gastrointestinal tract. They help to stimulate saliva and bile production while allowing food and fluids to move through the GI tract more smoothly. In a study of 24 healthy individuals, taking 1.2 grams of ginger powder before a meal accelerated emptying of the stomach, reducing indigestion by 50%. 2. Ginger Relieves Nausea Drinking ginger tea or even consuming raw ginger is a common and safe home remedy for nausea, especially during cancer treatment or pregnancy and morning sickness. A review of 12 studies that included a total of 1,278 pregnant women found that 1.1-1.5 grams of ginger significantly reduced nausea. 3. Ginger Can Relieve Pain A study conducted at the University of Georgia found that daily ginger supplementation reduced muscle pain by 25%. Ginger has also been found to reduce pain during menstrual cycles. Researchers also believe that ginger is effective at reducing the day-to-day progression of muscle pain. 4. Ginger Reduces Inflammation Osteoarthritis is a common health problem that involves the degeneration of the joints in the body, causing joint pain and stiffness. In a trial of 247 people with osteoarthritis of the knee, those who took ginger extract had less pain and required less pain medication. 5. Ginger May Reduce Risk of Heart Disease In a recent study involving participants with type 2 diabetes, researchers found that 2 grams of ginger powder each day lowered blood sugar and led to a 10% overall reduction over a period of 12 weeks. High blood sugar is a major risk factor for heart disease. With the effects of ginger on blood sugar, your risk of heart disease may be lowered by at leas 10%. 6. Ginger May Lower Cholesterol Levels A 45-day study involving 85 people with high cholesterol concluded that 3 grams of ginger powder each day caused significant reductions in cholesterol levels. Researchers believe that ginger can aid in lowering cholesterol levels and reducing the risk of heart disease. 7. Ginger May Have Anti-Cancer Properties A substance in ginger known as 6-gingerol has been studied as an alternative treatment for several types of cancer. Research on this theory is still being conducted, but one study found that 2 grams of ginger extract each day significantly reduced pro-inflammatory signaling molecules in the colon. 8. Ginger May Improve Brain Function Oxadative stress and chronic inflammation are two factors that can accelerate the aging process, and become a key driver of Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related cognitive impairments. Some studies suggest that the antioxidants and bioactive compounds in ginger can inhibit inflammatory responses that occur in the brain. In a study of 60 middle-aged women, ginger extract was shown to improve reaction time and working memory, suggesting that ginger supports brain health in multiple ways. We are defining mild to moderate beer consumption of no more than 1 glass for women and 2 glasses for men (1 glass = 12 fluid oz.) at 5% ABV. We you start to increase your consumption to more than that, the health benefits go away and the problems, such as liver disease, cardiac problems, various forms of cancer increase, cognitive disorders, and many more. As with most things in life, and very important again, moderation is key here. With that out of the way, here are some of the things that beer can actually help with: 1) Bone health – Beer contains silicon, which is important for bone density. A study done at Tufts university found out men that consumed 1-2 beers a day at a 4.5% greater bone density than those that did not consume alcohol. Men that had more than 2 beers had a 5.2% decrease in bone density. It has also been found to help osteoporosis and decreased risk of certain fractures from osteoporosis. 2) Cardiovascular disease – Beer can increase levels of HDL cholesterol (the good type), and mild-moderate drinking has been found to decrease risk of heart disease by 25-45%. For the ladies, mild to moderate consumption lower risk of stokes. 3) Brain health – A review of research by Rush University Medical Center revealed moderate alcohol consumption has been found to decrease risk of developing memory cognitive disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease or Dementia, by 23% 4) Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus – A meta-analysis of research found that moderate alcohol consumption can decrease risk of Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 by 30%.
