Cancer cell dies when you eat these 7 foods, time to start eating them | 7 Anti Cancer Foods An anti-cancer diet is an important strategy you can use to reduce your risk of cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends, for example, that you eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables daily and eat the right amount of food to stay at a healthy weight. In addition, researchers are finding that certain foods that prevent cancer may be an important part of an anti-cancer diet. 1. Carrots Like kale and spinach, carrots pack carotenoids, an antioxidant group that may help prevent rectal cancer. Evidence suggests that consuming high levels of carotenoids from fruits and vegetables can be protective in relation to cancer recurrence. Studies show that these antioxidants in carrots may be able to fight leukemia cells and may play a role in reducing your risk of some of the most widespread types of cancers, including ovarian and breast cancer. 2. Tomatoes Cooked tomatoes are especially good for the guys in your life they contain a carotenoid called lycopene that might lower prostate cancer. The juicy red fruit can help guard the DNA in your cells from damage that can lead to cancer. Tomatoes contain a particularly high concentration of an effective antioxidant called lycopene. Your body may absorb lycopene better from processed tomato foods such as sauce, which means that whole-wheat pasta with marinara sauce could be a delicious way to get your dose of cancer-fighting foods. 3. Fiber Fare rich in fiber, including certain cereals, root and other types of vegetables, and legumes, seems to protect against colon cancer. Every 10 grams of fiber you eat is associated with a 10 percent reduced risk of colorectal cancer and a 5 percent fall in breast cancer risk, says a study published in the Annals of Oncology. In addition to the anti-cancer effects of fiber, the foods that contain it like veggies and fruits—are also rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals that could further reduce your odds, notes Sheth. Allium vegetables, especially garlic, and their bioactive sulfur compounds are believed to have effects at each stage of cancer formation and affect many biological processes that modify cancer risk. 5. Turmeric Turmeric May Reduce Cancer Risk. This orange-colored spice, a staple in Indian curries, contains an ingredient called curcumin (not the same as cumin) that may be useful in reducing cancer risk. According to the American Cancer Society, curcumin can inhibit some kinds of cancer cells in laboratory studies and slow the spread of cancer or shrink tumors in some animals. This cancer-fighting food is easy to find in grocery stores, and you can use it in a variety of recipes on your anti-cancer diet. 6. Berries The ORAC scores of nearly all berries are very high, making them some of the top high-antioxidant foods in the world. Blueberries, raspberries, cherries, strawberries, goji berries, camu camu and blackberries are easy to find and use in numerous types of recipes which is good news considering they supply vitamin C, vitamin A and gallic acid, a powerful antifungal/antiviral agent that increases immunity. 7. Organic Meats Organic meats including beef or chicken liver are recommended on many cancer-fighting diets since they’re considered some of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet and extremely high in vitamin B12. So, here is a list of foods that contain chemical compounds that help slow the development of cancer. Green Tea Green tea is rich in polyphenols and catechins. These substances are antioxidants that protect our cells from DNA damage caused by free radicals. One cup of green tea per day is the recommended amount. Pomegranate juice Pomegranate juice also contains polyphenols. According to recent studies, pomegranate juice has the potential to be a preventative tool for certain types of cancer, including breast cancer. Blueberries, strawberries and black raspberries These fruits contain large quantities of polyphenols, that may contain anticancer properties. Furthermore, they are rich in antioxidants, such as vitamin C. You should eat from ¾ of a cup to 1 cup of fruit a day. Plums and peaches Studies indicate that the polyphenols found in plums and peaches can help prevent breast cancer cell formation and keep them from multiplying. Evidence suggest that polyphenols help kill cancerous cells, without harming healthy cells. Cruciferous vegetables These vegetables are normally rich in antioxidants (such as vitamins C, E and K) and fiber. The most popular cruciferous vegetables are: - Broccoli; - Cauliflower; - Brussel sprouts; - Arugula; - Cabbage. Green vegetables The greener the vegetable, the denser the nutrients. Green vegetables are normally rich in antioxidants and fibers, which makes them valuable tools against cancer. Carotenoids Carotenoids are found in red, orange, dark green and yellow fruits and vegetables. These foods are very rich in vitamin A, lutein, beta carotene and lycopene, all of which are effective against free radicals. Apigenin Apigenin is a flavonoid found in certain fruits, vegetables and herbs. As apigenin is an antioxidant, these foods may have anti-inflammatory properties as well. Omega-3 Fatty Acids Found abundantly in cold water fish, omega-3 fatty acids are an essential nutrient for the functioning of your immune system. Whole grains Whole foods also tend to be high in anticancer polyphenols, they usually include other essential nutrients such as fiber, magnesium and protein. 9 Foods That Help Prevent Prostate Cancer! NATURAL CURES for PROSTATE CANCER in Men. If you want to do all you can to prevent prostate cancer, your first stop should be the grocery store, a top expert says. “There are foods that contain nutrients which have been found to help prevent prostate cancer so what you eat may help make a difference,” Dr. Edward Gheiler said. Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in men. According to the American Cancer Society, about 161,360 men will develop prostate cancer this year, and the disease will result in about 26,730 deaths. Eating a healthy diet that contains foods that reduce prostate cancer also pays off in helping to prevent cardiovascular disease – heart disease and stroke – which is the biggest killer of men in the U.S., Gheiler notes. “Any diet that is good for your heart is good for your prostate, so you can help prevent cardiovascular disease and cancer at the same time,” adds Gheiler, an urologist at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Fla. He also advises patients to eat a diet that is low in fat, which is a culprit in cardiovascular disease and plays a role in cancer development as well. There is also evidence of a dietary connection between cancer and diet found in the differing rates of the disease in certain cultures, Gheiler says. “The Japanese have low rates of prostate cancer, but when they move to the U.S., the rate in their offspring doubles,” he notes. The Japanese diet is high in green tea, soy, vegetables, and fish. Whole, fresh foods, as compared to supplements, are better for prostate cancer prevention as they contain an array of flavonoids and antioxidants, which may work together to provide more cancer-fighting power, says Gheiler. “But even though these foods are healthy, people should avoid eating them in large quantities. A healthy, balanced diet is best,” he says. Here are Gheiler's top picks for nine foods that may prevent prostate cancer: Broccoli: Research finds men who eat a diet rich in vegetables generally have a reduced prostate cancer risk, but cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli, may have an edge. They are rich in contain sulforaphane, a compound that target human cancer cells and slows them down. Don’t like broccoli? Brussels sprouts, kale, and cauliflower contain it too. Brazil Nuts: Selenium helps prevent the cellular damage that leads to cancer. Brazil nuts contain the most of it of any food by far, but smaller amounts of this trace element are also found in yellow fin tuna, halibut, and sardines. Tomatoes: Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant found in tomatoes, could explain why studies show foods made with tomatoes reduce prostate cancer risk. “This cancer-fighting effect is found only in cooked tomatoes, so choose tomato sauce over raw tomatoes,” says Gheiler. Salmon: A cold-water fish, salmon is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which are polyunsaturated fats that have been shown to reduce prostate cancer risk. Coffee: Studies find that drinking multiple cups of coffee daily – at least three – may reduce prostate cancer risk. “The effect may be due to stepped up metabolism,” says Gheiler. If you prefer green tea, research finds it also may help protect against prostate cancer. Carrots: While all vegetables may help prevent prostate cancer, a small study published in the Journal of European Nutrition found that men who ate carrots three times a week cut their prostate cancer risk by nearly 20 percent. Oranges: Citrus fruits contain vitamin C, which some studies find is toxic to cancer cells. Coconut Oil: This popular oil may help prevent prostate cancer. “It’s also good for the brain and it takes away food cravings,” says Gheiler. Berries: Berries, particularly raspberries, have been linked to a reduced risk of prostate cancer. The natural pigments that give berries its color denote their high antioxidant content.

Many cancer survivors have been fortunate enough to use a combination of natural cancer treatments themselves at home, in conjunction with conventional medical treatments, in order to overcome their disease. This duel approach can help support the entire body and mind in the healing process that can sometimes be long and very difficult. Today, the early combination of chemotherapy and nutrition therapy is able to save the lives of thousands of cancer patients. Inflammation is the underlying issue that dictates cancerous tumor initiation, progression and growth. Studies suggest that 30 percent to 40 percent of all kinds of cancer can be prevented with a healthy lifestyle and dietary measures! And other sources claim that this number is in fact much higher, with around 75 percent of cancer cases being lifestyle-related. Featuring Dorothy and Toto, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow, The Wicked Witch, and even the Yellow Brick Road!! These family theme costumes were great but what really took them to the next level was the extreme face painting from Denise Cold with Painted Party! Seriously insane face painting. The face makeup was what made our Wizard of Oz costumes come to life and look like characters out of a Hollywood movie!
