I use to really struggle with my weight. At one point, I went through invasive Infertility treatments as a result of being overweight. But I hit rock bottom in 2011 when I was crying in an Old Navy changing room because I couldn't zip up a pair of size 16 jeans. I was mad, embarrassed and felt destine to be fat forever. I tried everything to lose weight from counting points to low carb diets, Nutrisystem, even taking diet pills, but nothing seemed to work. Then I found a program like this and within 90 days I lost 30 lbs. Since then I've lost 80 lbs and I've never looked back. I enjoyed the programs so much that I went into business for myself so I could make them available to people who struggled with weight loss, like I use to. Thank you for visiting - I hope you stay! I'm here to spread awareness about the emotional rollercoaster journey of trying to conceive a baby. Please consider liking this video and subscribing :) TTC Instagram: lindsayjillian_ttc A little background story... My husband and I started trying December 2014. After many appointments and tests we were diagnosed with "unexplained infertility" In July 2016 we had our first appointment at a fertility clinic after already being on clomid for a few cycles. We started treatment with a combination of Femara(Letrozole), Metformin & IUI (intrauterine insemination). After that didn't work we moved on to injections of Gonal F, monitored cycles with ultrasounds and IUI again. After 2 failed cycles with this treatment, I knew my body needed a break. We continue to hope we will conceive on our own as we continue to live a healthier lifestyle. Who knows what the future holds but I know I will be a mommy one day.

Video Link - https://youtu.be/s4ep6eVe2zc A lot of women asks this question - "Why I'm not getting pregnant?" Well, the answer can vary a lot, and there are a different number of treatment for infertility. But before assuming that you have no other option than vitro fertilization, it’s really important to rule out some of the very common and treatable causes of infertility. The only way to get pregnant faster is of course having a body for both of the partners. In this video, you can see the five most possible and common reasons why you are not getting pregnant and what you can do about it. #1. You don’t ovulate. 5 to 10 percent of women are affected by Polycystic ovary syndrome which can cause irregular menstrual cycles and increase in male hormones. It’s one of the most common reasons for women’s infertility. #2 Maybe It’s his problem. Up to a third of infertility cases caused by male infertility. If your husband is overweight, obese or a smoker, your chances of getting pregnant could be affected. Doctors also sometimes suggest that, an infection or inflammation of the prostate glands might also be the cause. #3. You don’t have enough healthy eggs. Women are born with a fixed number of eggs. But the number and health of eggs declines as women get older. According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, a healthy and fertile 30-year-old has only a 20 percent chance of getting pregnant each month. #4. Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a disorder that affects 30 to 50 percent of women. It causes the lining of the uterine cavity to appear in the abdominal cavity, which can cause painful periods, heavy bleeding, and infertility. #5. Maybe Your fallopian tubes are blocked. Tubal factor accounts for almost 35 percent of infertility cases. When the fallopian tubes are blocked or damaged, tubal factor occurs. What’s causing your infertility? Hormonal treatments are used to help women ovulate or to help them “super-ovulate”, ovulate more than one egg. Women who do not ovulate spontaneously and have normal estradiol levels are traditionally prescribed Clomiphene Citrate, or Clomid. This medicine is a partial estrogen and partial anti-estrogen. Since 2003, stronger anti-estrogens, the aromatase inhibitors such as Letrozole, have become increasingly popular for ovulation induction. For women who don’t ovulate spontaneously, 80% will ovulate with clomiphene and 50% will conceive. Clomiphene Citrate is associated with multiple follicle growth, so twins and triplets may occur, 20% of pregnancies may be multiples. This medicine can have side effects such as hot flashes, sensitivity to light, headaches and mood swings. Also sometimes the cervical mucus is drier and thicker and sometimes the inside of the uterus doesn’t grow as thick as it should. Letrozole seems to have less side effects, is more likely to make more than one follicle, and the cervix and endometrium are less affected. In comparison studies, letrozole is as good as and maybe more effective than clomid for inducing ovulation. Letrozole has less birth defects compared with clomid in one comparison study. Both medicines are pills taken for 5 days after the start of a period. The pills are started between day 2 and 5. Dosage starts at one pill and can be increased in subsequent cycles to 2 pills or 3 pills as needed. Ovulation typically occurs one week after the last pill but may be later than that. For heavier women a higher dose or longer dose for up to 7 days may be the initial dose. For those with associated high testosterone levels, sometimes a low dose steroid, dexamethasone, can be added to the regimen to increase fertility. Insulin sensitizers such as metformin can also be added. When oral pills do not directly induce follicular growth, the next step has been ovulation induction with injectable pituitary hormones including FSH or a FSH/LH combination. The oral medications work by “tricking” the pituitary to produce more FSH to stimulate the ovary to make follicles. When this stimulus isn’t strong enough, the injectables provide the FSH directly to the ovary. These are usually successful but may produce multiple follicles. If there are too many follicles and the risk of multiple gestations is too high, then the cycle needs to be cancelled or converted into an IVF cycle where all the eggs can be removed and then we control how many embryos get transferred back in. Depending on the individual, doctors may use a combination of pills and shots that ultimately has a cost advantage and may work better than pills alone. Factors that may directly impact the success of these treatments are weight, diet and exercise. Weight is the biggest impediment to successful OI, especially with pills. A low calorie diet along with weight loss may help improve the odds of success. . A diet which included whole fat dairy is beneficial to fertility as is a plant based diet heavy in fruits and vegetables. Vigorous exercise may also improve a woman who was sedentary to ovulate. Of course some women don’t ovulate because they exercise too much. For some, weight loss is needed, however, for others weight gain, especially in body fat, is needed to ovulate. It is ultimately extremely important to discuss your individual situation with your doctor to create the best treatment option for you to produce your ideal results.

http://usfertilitynetwork.com (877) 977-2959 Obesity and infertility in women 2/3 of the US is either overweight or obese. You calculate your BMI by dividing your weight in kilograms by the square of your height in metres. A healthy BMI is considered to be between 18.5 and 24.9. Having a BMI between 25 and 29.9 is considered ‘overweight’ and a BMI over 30 is considered ‘obese’. Obesity and ovulation Obesity is a known risk factor for ovulation problems. Obese women typically need increased levels of hormone medications to facilitate ovulation for conception. It used to be thought that if an obese woman was able to ovulate ok, then the chance of conception was normal. We now know this is NOT true. Obesity and infertility Studies are now showing a link between obesity and infertility even in women who ovulate normally. Van der Steeg et al – 3029 couples. (Human Reproduction) Obesity – BMI over 30 Severe obesity – BMI over 40. Obesity and infertility BMI = 35 – 26% less likely to achieve spontaneous pregnancy. BMI over 40 = 43% less likely to get pregnant. The link is known, but the why is not. Authors thought maybe hormone leptin is involved. Obesity and infertility Obesity is also associated with PCOS, which is a common cause of infertility. Excess estrogen is also a common problem in obese women. This can make one’s body think it is on birth control. Obese women have miscarriage rate that is double that of those with healthy weight. Obesity and infertility Obese women take longer to conceive than women in the healthy weight range. When they do conceive they have a higher risk of pregnancy complications such as miscarriage, diabetes and premature birth. Latest update with what's been going on with my very first pregnancy!!

Infertility is on the rise, whether is the first time you are planning for a baby or you already have one. There is a problem getting pregnant nowadays. So to make things better, the first line of treatment is to put on clomiphene citrate. So what are the chances of getting pregnant when out on clomiphene citrate? The most common problem in conceiving is the ovulation. Majority of the women are not able to produce the egg and that is the reason why they are not able to conceive. Clomiphene citrate, increases the chances as to as high as 80% if ovulation is the problem. Of all the women who have been put on clomiphene citrate, 50% will conceive. So that is the first line of treatment for infertility treatment. If the clomiphene is not working, there are other steps, which will be discussed by your doctor and go into the detail and go ahead with the treatment.

Fertility drugs are available in the form of tablets and injections. Tablets are those containing clomiphene citrate, anastrozole and letrozole. Injections are the ones known as the gonadotropin injections containing follicle stimulating hormones and luteinizing hormones either in the ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 or highly purified forms prepared from the DNA recombinant techniques. The oral medication is usually given from the 2nd day to the 5th day of the period or from the 5th day for 5 days. The doses 50 to 150 mg in the case of clomiphene citrate and 1 to 5 mg in the case of anastrozole and letrozole. The oral medications acts by inhibiting the estrogen receptors or by inhibiting some enzymes like the aromatase, thereby decreasing the estrogen level in the blood which indirectly stimulates the pituitary hyopothalamus axis to produce more follicle stimulating hormones which indirectly stimulates the ovary to form multiple eggs. These medicines are used in case of medicines with anovulatory cycles or in case of women with PCOS. Coming to the gonadotropin injections, they can be combined with the oral tablets in a low dose in case of intrauterine insemination cases to they are given purely from the day 2 in case of IVF cycles the treatment is usually given for 3 to 6 cycles in case of oral tablets and in case the woman does not get pregnant, we see stopping the oral medications or after stopping the gonadotropin injections, the woman starts producing the normal eggs and she gets pregnant naturally as the irregular hormones gets corrected the effect of the hormones lasts for 3 to 6 months even after stopping the medications, that is the oral tablets or the gonadotropin injections.

My name is Erika and welcome to my YouTube channel. I've had this channel since 2009 but only started uploading regularly last year. I am a born and raised New Yorker. I've been a performer my whole life and in 2009 was offered the job of a lifetime - performing for Disney Cruise Line. Over three years with the company, I portrayed some of Disney's most beloved characters, danced my heart out, and met my husband! In 2013, I moved up to Toronto, Canada and studied for my full STOTT Pilates certification. Then, that summer, my husband and I got our first apartment on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, NY! In December 2013, my husband (then boyfriend) came home from his last ship contract and proposed! We got married at The Russian Tea Room in New York City on January 24th, 2015. We love adventure, and after 3 years living in Manhattan, in May 2016, we moved down to Celebration, Florida! In December 2016, I danced in the Macy's Holiday Parade at Universal Studios and had the time of my life! Although we've loved Florida, in May 2017, we moved back to New York to be closer to family and friends. In June 2017, we got the best news in the world - that we were expecting our first baby due March 2018. We are so excited that our little family is growing! PHEW.. So that's my story! I don't know what adventures lie ahead but I am SO excited to share them with all of you!

I trust my body. My body is healthy and young. New balance is coming to my body now. My reproductive organs work in perfect harmony with my body to allow an easy conception. Every time my period comes I rejoice in the fact that my body is functioning correctly. My hormones are perfectly balanced and my menstrual cycles are becoming more and more regular.
