7 Signs That Adrenal Fatigue is Behind Your Anxiety, Sleep Problems And Joint Pain Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11 Adrenal fatigue is a condition when the adrenal glands are struggling to manage stress and an extremely busy schedule and causes feelings of tiredness, dullness, and a burnout. Your doctor won’t diagnose this condition, but we will reveal its symptoms and things you should change in order to treat them. In case one surpasses the 4 stages of adrenal fatigue, an adrenal insufficiency might appear, which can be medically diagnosed. Therefore, make sure you treat the symptoms on time and avoid even more aggravated issues. Stress leads to increased cortisol levels and weakened bodily functions, as the adrenals cannot cope with the burden. The following 7 signs indicate that you suffer from adrenal fatigue: 1. Poor Digestion. Stress does not allow the body to digest the food properly and inhibits the absorption of nutrients. In this case, the metabolism and digestion are poor, and you might experience bloating, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, and weight gain. You should eat a healthy diet, drink sufficient amounts of water, take probiotics and minerals regularly, and take the time to savor your meals. 2. Insomnia. Every night, you should sleep for at least 8 hours without interruptions, in order to help the body to reset, recharge, and recover. This will make you wake up fresh and energized. Moreover, never give up sleep for more work, as it will throw you off balance and make you struggle to fall asleep. Also, try to be in bed by 10:30 pm, even if you can’t fall asleep, stay in the dark to help the body release melatonin, the sleeping hormone. Also, warm baths, relaxation techniques, and yoga calm the body and mind and help you fall asleep. 3. Anxiety or Depression. The pressure of deadlines and a busy schedule might lead to various complications, changes of mood, and a poor cognitive function. Anxiety and depression are directly linked to stress, so make sure you find some way to control it and reduce it in order to preserve your health. 4. Stiffness and pain. When the body is not recharged due to stress, you might suffer from stiffness and pain, as well as stress in the back, jaw, and neck. Try to change the sleeping habits, and practice stretching exercises and yoga. Furthermore, warm baths offer potent anti-inflammatory effects – as the natural magnesium alleviates the muscles and the crystal blend detoxes and balances the body. 5. Feeling Overwhelmed By Life. Sometimes, things definitely can be easier and better, but you should not apply too much pressure on yourself. 10 key points for a KAATSU Corporate Wellness Adrenaline Rush workout performed in your office or cubicle are as follows: 1. Do the KAATSU Cycle modality where the KAATSU Air Bands are inflated for 20 seconds and then deflated for 5 seconds 8 times in sequentially higher pressures. 2. This 3 minute 20 second KAATSU Cycle can be repeated as desired. Limit your KAATSU workout to 15 minutes on your arms and 20 minutes on your legs. 3. Movements should be gentle and steady even with push-ups or leg extensions. This allows you to exercise without perspiring or being uncomfortable or having to change out of your work clothes. 4. As the KAATSU Air Bands inflate, move slowly as desired (from stretching to twisting). As the Bands deflate, rest and relax. 5. The KAATSU Air Bands should only be placed in two locations: around your upper arms near the armpit immediately below your shoulders (deltoids), but above the biceps and triceps for an upper body workout, and around your upper legs immediately below the groin, but above your quadriceps and hamstrings for a lower body workout. 6. Be well-hydrated before doing KAATSU and confirm with your physician that you are ready for exercise and KAATSU. 7. The KAATSU Air Bands should be placed on your arms and legs snugly and moderately to allow normal arterial flow into your limbs. As a result, your skin should have a pinkness or redness to it and your pulse should continue normally. Your veins may become distended (more visible). The Bands are neither a tourniquet nor BFR (Blood Flow Restriction) Occlusion Bands. They are not designed or intended to occlude or cut off any blood flow. The arm and leg bands should not be used simultaneously. 8. You should feel comfortable throughout your KAATSU workout. If you have tightened the Bands too much, there may be a whiteness or paleness to your skin or you may be lightheaded. In these cases, immediately remove the Bands or loosen the Bands appropriately. The Bands are BFM (Blood Flow Moderation) equipment that enables adequate and safe blood flow to the limbs during exercise.

Adrenal fatigue occurs when your adrenal glands aren’t able to produce enough of certain hormones, such as norepinephrine, cortisol and DHEA, which allow you to respond to the conditions of your daily life in healthy and flexible ways. Simply put, the theory behind adrenal fatigue is that your adrenal glands are unable to keep pace with the demands of perpetual fight-or-flight arousal. As a result, they can't produce quite enough of the hormones you need to feel good (1) So, What are Your Adrenal Glands? Located at the top of each kidney, the adrenal glands are two, triangular-shaped organs that measure about 1.5 inches in height and 3 inches in length They are also known as your body’s shock absorbers - produce hormones that help the body control blood sugar, react to stressors like a major illness or injury, and regulate blood pressure. Cause(s) of Adrenal Fatigue Adrenal fatigue is caused when your adrenal glands cannot cope due to you being overly stressed – basically, the main cause is stress The adrenal glands are an essential part of your body's responses to any kind of physical, emotional or psychological stress. Many different types of stress can cause adrenal fatigue. Examples of physical stress include any severe or recurrent infection or illness, having an operation, poor diet or a severe injury. An emotional or psychological stress may be caused by many situations, including relationship, family or work difficulties. (3) However, there are 3 specific hormones that can be a cause of adrenal fatigue: Norepinephrine Also called adrenaline is commonly thought of as the fight-or-flight hormone. It’s produced when something is (or you think it is) threatening. This hormone makes your heart pound, your blood rush to your heart and large muscle groups, your pupils widen, your brain sharpens, and your tolerance for pain increase—basically, it prepares you for battle. Cortisol Cortisol increases your appetite and energy level while toning down your immune system’s allergic and inflammatory responses. This hormone stimulates the storage and release of energy in the body, helps the body resist the stressful effects of infections, trauma, and temperature extremes, and helps you maintain stable emotions. Ideally, cortisol is released into the system only on an occasional basis, rather than in response to chronic stress. If cortisol levels become too high for too long, they may have undesirable side effects, including muscle wasting, kidney damage, fluid retention, spiking blood sugar levels, weight gain, and increased vulnerability to bacteria, etc. Solutions Rid the diet of excess sugar and processed grains These are very hard on the adrenal glands. Eating excess sugar/starches will cause blood sugar to spike and insulin to come to the rescue due to excess glucose in the bloodstream. Blood sugar then drops or plummets, causing the adrenals to work to bring levels back up. When you are suffering from fatigued adrenal glands, cortisol levels drop and make it difficult to maintain normal blood sugar levels. People with adrenal fatigue tend to have low blood sugar. I've recently discovered I'm able to give myself a jolt of energy at will. I'm just now tapping into this ability. The mental effect is a strong rush of energy. The physical effects are immediate pupil dilation, uncontrollable limb movement and increased heart rate. In this video I show my heart rate increasing from a normal rate of 91 BPM to around 170 BPM in roughly 25 seconds. After I was finished I was completely drained. Please note during this video I was standing completely still and had not been working out prior.

A panic attack is felt by some people because of extreme or unwarranted agitation due to stimuli which are perceived or unreal. This can case the person to lose control over oneself, feel very agitated and the physical or physiological concomitants of panic disorder are increased heart rate. This happens because of two reasons. The first is the sudden rush of adrenaline to enable your body to go through the fight or flight mode. The brain perceives a threat and prepares your body to either fight the enemy or flee from the scene. Any case your body needs to be sufficiently prepared to take either of these options. So the sudden rush of adrenaline can cause your heart rate to increase or to be irregular. The second is hyperventilation. When you are in panic you may not that your breath tends to be shorter and irregular as a result the insufficient carbon dioxide that is required is lowered and your heart has to pump several times more frequently or faster in order to maintain the blood supply or the circulation to all parts of the body. As a result the psychological stimulus is causing a physiological response which can have deleterious effect on your overall health. These irregular heartbeats can be experienced by one as tachycardia, arrhythmia, extra systole and palpitation which are sudden spurts in your heart beat, missed heart beat or irregular or dysfunctional beating of the heart. First of all you need to take a medical check up to check whether something is really the matter with your heart or is it due to the panic disorder. If it is panic disorder there are number of things you can do. First is remain calm because it is the opposite of getting agitated and one is agitated the heart beats get irregular. When one is calm the heart beats become stable and functional. So you have to be calm and the best way to do that is breath normally, easily, focus on your breathing, calm your mind down and just think of your breath. This is the simplest and most effective way of bringing down your heart beat. Doing meditation regularly can have a very good effect on not only your heart beat but also on your anxiety and panic disorders. Look at your lifestyle and see what are the modifications or changes that you may need to bring into. Sleep the number of hours of sleep per day, eat right, diet is very essential, exercise regularly, maintain healthy habits and a healthy lifestyle, cut down on caffeine, alcohol and smoking and give up on any habits which you feel are undesirable or detrimental to your lifestyle. Once your lifestyle is set in a particular pattern you will find that your body is better able to cope because anxiety and stress are the main ingredients of increased heart rate. Suppose your heart rate is still irregular then you may need to consult a doctor and see what can be done. Also check all your prescriptions and medications that you are currently taking because these could also contribute to irregular heart beat. Once you are done with these you can lead a happy and healthy life.

Now people with adrenal fatigue can sometimes present with shortness of breath despite a normal work up. In other words, they feel that they are not catching a full breath of air, especially on exertion and when under stress as well. After extensive work up for the lungs and the heart, they are given a clean bill of health. What is really going on? As far as conventional medicine is concerned there is no clear explanation, and sufferers are universally sent home with no solution. Sometimes they are put on some form of an inhaler to help the breathing mechanism, but generally speaking, this doesn't really help it as well. Now, we don't have the exact physiological basis to know why, but what we do see is this shortness of breath usually happens in two situations; in the setting of adrenal fatigue, one is when the person is extremely nervous with anxiety and this can have some trouble of shortness of breath associated, but this usually is more associated with panic attack-like symptoms where the person is breathing rapidly, and the intake is shallow, resulting in the build up of carbon dioxide. Therefore, this shortness of breath is a vicious cycle that propagates itself. There is another possibility; it's that those people with advanced adrenal fatigue who are in a catabolic state, these people tend to lose muscle mass; now usually by the time that this comes upon, the person is rather skinny. They not only lose muscle mass in their big muscles such as their biceps or the triceps, but the intercostal muscles, the muscles that hold ribs together are also decompensating. So, when a person wants to take a deep breath, it does not happen because when you have wasting of the intercostal muscles the muscle strength becomes compromised. When this happens the ribcage can not be expanded as it normally can. So, there are physical and structural limitations to this breathing when this happens. So this is usually presented as I said earlier in a person who is already somewhat catabolic, losing weight, severe fatigue, not necessarily doing a lot of exercises, mostly housebound, and in the advanced stages of adrenal fatigue. Normally when this happens there are also signs of GI disturbances, gastric slow down, palpitations in the heart, neurotransmitter imbalances, so we are getting with a clinical picture that is rather serious in terms of presenting itself in an abnormal fashion. The shortness of breath is just one of those things that goes along; by itself it is not indicative of anything because the person still can breathe, its just that when under stress they feel that they are very tight. They try to take a deep breath and there are some limitions, but by and large normal breathing mechanisms in terms of oxygen saturation are still intact, but the complaint is there. So if a person has this complaint of shortness of breath, and you look at the person and there is an adrenal fatigue setting, you have to really think about whether it is an issue of catabolism undergoing as well as whether it is an issue of other triggering factors. Together, put the whole clinical picture together, and when you put the clinical picture together, you will be able to see that it is really a bigger problem going on underneath. Now, the good news is that usually as the adrenals recover and the muscle rebuilding and the catabolic process is reversed then this will improve. Nevertheless, it is an important symptom to recognize because an unresolved catabolism can lead to shortness of breath which can then lead to many other structural problems because if the lung cannot expand then it is more prone to getting infections, etc. So, you don't want to leave this unturned, uninvestigated. Today I want to talk about a poorly condition called POTS which causes a lot of young patients (children and women mainly between the ages of 14-45) a lot of debilitating symptoms and distress and because POTS is a relatively newly recognised condition, many doctors don’t know very much about it and attribute symptoms to anxiety or psychological issues and therefore the poor patient’s distress is compounded by having to find a doctor and support system that takes their symptoms seriously. Basically what happens in POTS is that the patient develops Orthostatic intolerance which means that they don’t tolerate standing up for any prolonged period very well and therefore have to sit down and the reason for this is that their heart speeds up excessively when they stand up and that feels very uncomfortable and they get palpitations, dizziness, sometimes headache and feel worn out. POTS is thought to be a disturbance of the autonomic nervous system which s that part of our nervous system that regulates body functions such as our heart rate, respiratory rate, pupillary response, digestion and urination. The way the autonomic nervous system works is by 2 contrasting systems… The parasympathetic system which controls our body processes during ordinary situations and the sympathetic system which prepares our bodies for stressful situations. So for example, if we are suddenly scared, the sympathetic system is activated and immediately our heart rate goes up, we start breathing harder, our pupils dilate and blood starts going to our muscles rather than our gut and therefore any digestion slows down and we recognise this as an ‘adrenaline rush’ However after the initial stressor has been taken away, slowly our body slowly returns back to normal and this is done via the parasympathetic system and the autonomic system comes back to achieve an equilibrium. An analogy I think which may help explain what happens in POTs is that of a see saw with the pivot point in the middle. A stressor is like pressing down on one side of the see saw and this activates the sympathetic system which causes all these changes within the body to prepare you for flight or fright. Now what happens in POTS is that the pivot has been moved so only a small stressor causes an exaggerated rise in sympathetic activation and therefore the patient notices this florid flight or fight response which feels really strange and uncomfortanble because it is happening when the patient is not really doing anything to trigger such a reaction. SO lets see what happens when we stand up from a lying position. As we stand up gravity starts taking effect and therefore because our blood vessels are stretchy, Immediately blood starts getting sucked down by gravity and if nothing were to happen then our brain which is the furthest away from ground will be drained of blood and we would collapse.

Anger is a usually a normal emotion that stems from a prevised hazard to a part of our identity, our self-image, our property, our loved ones, or us. Bytesize Science talked with Abigail Marsh, professor of psychology at Georgetown University, to find out how the brain processes fear. We feel fear because we see or hear something that makes us anticipate harm. Say you're walking through a haunted house this Halloween and a spooky skeleton jumps out at you. That skeleton acts as a stimulus that triggers a signal in your brain. The signal travels to the amygdala - a region near the base of the brain. The amygdala fires a brain chemical called glutamate out into two other regions of the brain. The first region makes us freeze or involuntarily jump. These reactions are so automatic because the signal is sent deep into the base of the brain to an area that we have little control over. The second signal is sent to the hypothalamus and triggers our autonomic nervous system - the system responsible for the fight or flight instinct - when our bodies go into superman mode. It elevates our heart rate and blood pressure and pumps adrenaline throughout our bodies. That's the rush you feel when scared. We experience fear in three stages: 1. Freeze . This is the evolutionary response designed to keep us hidden from the potential predator we sense near us. 2. Run away . If we've already been spotted, the adrenaline coursing through our bodies helps us run away quickly. 3. Fight . If running away is no longer an option, that same adrenaline helps us fight off - or at least try to fight off - whatever threat we're facing. If we aren't in a real life-threatening situation, luckily our bodies have a quick way of reversing this fear response. The parasympathetic nervous system is the counter to the fight or flight instinct - it reverses the flood of adrenaline and lowers our heart rate back to its normal state. That's why every time we jump during a scary movie our bodies are not suddenly coursing with adrenaline. After the initial reaction our brains recognize the threat is not real and the parasympathetic nervous system calms us down.
