Steps to do this pose: Stand with your feet together and hands by your side. Now extend your right leg forward and keep your left leg extended backwards. Gently bend your right knee so that you get into the lunge position. Twist your torso to face your bent right leg. Slightly turn your left foot sideways (about 400-600) to give you that extra support. Exhale, straighten your arms and raise your body up and away from your bent knee. Stretch your arms upwards and slowly tilt your torso backwards so your back forms and arch. To get out of this pose exhale and straighten your right knee. Now push off your right leg and come back to your original position. You can use your hands to support you. Do not rush out of this pose; you might injure your back or legs. Repeat this aasana for the other leg as well. Veerbhadrasana 2 or warrior pose 2: Benefits: This aasana is great to strengthen the muscles in your back, thighs, abdomen and core and also helps you with weight loss. Avoid this pose if you suffer from diarrhea or high blood pressure. Steps to do this pose: Follow the same steps as Veerbhadrasana I, but instead of raising your hands above your head twist your torso so you face sideways and raise your hands to either side (so your fingers are extended and are parallel to your extended right and left leg). Now, turn your head so your eyes are facing in the same direction as your right hand. Repeat this posture for the other leg as well. 3. Utkatasana or the chair pose: Benefits: It strengthens the core muscles, thighs and tones the buttocks. Avoid this pose if you have a knee or back injury. 4. Vrksasana or tree pose: Benefits: This aasana is great for the muscles of your abdomen and tones the thighs and arms. If you have injured your knee or back please do this aasana under the supervision of a trained expert. Steps to do this pose: Stand with your legs together. Now put most of your weight on one leg and a little weight on the other leg. Now raise the leg with the least weight such that your foot is facing inwards, towards your opposite knee. You can hold your ankle to help you pull up the leg. Place the heel of your foot on your inner thigh of the other leg, as close to the pelvis as possible. Now gently raise your hands above your head making sure your fingers are pointing towards the ceiling. Make sure you focus your mind and try to maintain your balance. Boat pose 9:50 Crunches 0:32 Crunches are a champion of burning belly fat and flattening the stomach in a snap. So lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet planted firmly on the mat about hip-width apart. Put your hands behind your head, making sure that your thumbs are placed behind your ears and that your fingers support your head. Then, use your abs to lift your upper body off the floor, keeping your elbows wide apart. Go back to the initial position and repeat. Vertical leg lifts 3:31 Leg lifts are a true miracle-worker for toning the lower abs. Lie on your back with your arms down at your sides and your legs straight and pulled together. From this position, lift both legs up until your hips form a 90-degree angle. Then, lower them back down until they hover above the floor. Hold this position for about 2-3 seconds, and then lift your legs up again. Bridge exercise 6:02 Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet hip-width apart. Keep your arms down at your sides. Now, raise your hips up to create a straight line from your knees to your shoulders, curl your spine, and come back down. We’re gonna do 3 sets of 20. Cobra pose 8:52 Cobra pose tones your abs, strengthens your arms and shoulders, and even boosts your mood! You'll see these results in no time once you start doing this simple exercise regularly. Lie on your stomach, straighten your legs out behind you, keep your hands under your shoulders, and point your elbows back. Press your feet and thighs against the floor, then straighten your arms, and lift your chest off the ground. Press your tailbone towards your pubic bone and your shoulder blades towards each other. Hold this pose for 30 seconds. Boat pose 9:50 This exercise stimulates the kidneys and helps improve digestion. It’ll also leave you with a perfectly flat and toned belly. Sit on your bottom with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Now, lean back slightly and lift your feet so that your shins are parallel to the floor. Stretch your arms out in front of you at shoulder-height to keep your balance. Hold this position for 30 seconds. 5 Simple Yoga Poses to Reduce Belly Fat - Easiest way to get a flat stomach. Paschimottanasana (Seated forward fold) – Sit down with legs stretched out straight. Place both hands above in namaskar position. Bend slowly and touch the feet with hands. Now gently bend the head downwards with face resting on the legs. Repeat this 3 times. Benefits – stimulates liver, kidney, ovaries and uterus, improves digestion, soothes headaches and anxiety, therapeutic for infertility and insomnia. Supta Padangustasana (Reclinging hand-to-Bigtoe Pose) - Lie on your back with legs stretched. Lift your right leg fold at the knee and bring the leg closer and to hold the right toe with right hand, now lift the leg and hand together up in the air, the right leg and hand will be perpendicular to the floor. Now slowly bring the leg and hand down relax and repeat this with the left side. Repeat the same for 3 sets. Benefits – stretches legs, hips and groins, stimulates prostate gland, helps recovery from a cardiac condition. Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (Bridge Pose) – Lie on your back with legs bent at knee. Raise your body from the lower back and balance with your feet and upper body on the floor. Bring your hands straight under and hold them and stretch, stay in this position for a few seconds. Benefits – stretches chest, neck and spine, rejuvenates tired legs, reduces anxiety fatigue insomnia, therapeutic for high blood pressure. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) – Lie on the floor with face down, place both palms on the floor sidewards to the chest. Gently raise the body up resting the palm on the floor like a cobra rising up. Stay in that position for a while and resume previous position with face down. Benefits – helps relieve stress and fatigue, therapeutic for asthma Balasana (Child's pose) – Sit in vajrasana, kneeling down and sitting on the inner side of your leg. Your hands in the front leaning forward, now rest your head on the floor facedown. Relax and stay in position for a while. Stand straight and start bending while exhaling and lift while inhaling. Make sure you spine is straight while bending. Only bend your hip while lowering your body. Step 2: Repeat this process for 40 counts and relax. # DOWNWARD TO HALF PLANK VARIATION:- Step 1: Start with the downward dog position. Step 2: Now push your right leg out and then bend your right knee in. Make sure you swing your shoulders during this pose. Inhale while lifting and exhale by bending the knees for 10 counts. Step 3: Repeat the same with the left leg for 10 counts. # DOWNWARD DOG TO SMALL DOG POSE:- Step 1: Start with the downward dog pose. Step 2: Now bend your knees towards your forehead and back. Exhale while bending and inhale when you go back to the dog position. Step 3: Do 20 counts of this exercise. # SMALL DOG TO PLANK POSE:- Step 1: Start with the downward dog position. Step 2: From the small position, you go on to stretching yourself into a plank pose. Bend as you exhale and inhale while in the plank pose. Repeat 10-20 times. # STANDING TO LEG RAISE POSE:- Step 1: Sand with your legs hip width distance apart. Raise your arms above your head. Step 2: Now touch your hands to the floor and raise the right leg up and back to the starting point. Step 3: Stand straight and raise your hands again to the ceiling. Repeat this 10-20 times. Step 4: Once done let your right leg be raised for a while and take the support of your hands while doing this. Repeat the same with the other side. Repeat this 10-20 times. # ABDOMINAL CHURNING:- Step 1: Lie down on your back and lift both the legs to the ceiling. Step 2: Start rotating your legs in a circular motion without bending the knees. As you exhale go down and inhale while legs go up. Step 3: Repeat for 10 times and relax in shavasana. After you are done with your core exercises lie down on the floor and push your right knee down to the left side with the help of your hand. Do the same with the other side. # BENEFITS OF YOGA FOR FLAT STOMACH:- 1. Flat Stomach: Due to a hectic schedule, we tend to lead an unhealthy lifestyle. Step 3: Once you are done stay in the up dog position for 10 seconds and relax. # DOWNWARD TO DOG PLANK POSITION:- Step 1: Start with the downward dog position. Take some time to adjust your downward dog pose. Step 2: Now exhale and lift your right leg outwards to the ceiling and then bring it back by bending the knee while inhaling. Make sure you swing your shoulders just above your wrist. Step 3: Relax after a few counts. # SIDE TO SIDE PLANK:- Step 1: Start this exercise by sitting in such a way that your left hip is on the floor and your right leg is above the left. Step 2: Now lift the right hand over your head sideways by taking support of your left hand. Inhale while raising your hand and exhale while getting it down. Step 3: Repeat the same with the other side this and do this for 10 counts. # YOGA MUDRA:- Step 1: Start in vajrasana and clasp your hands behind your back. Step 2: Inhale and open up your chest and then while exhaling place your forehead onto the floor. Lift your arms up towards the ceiling.
